How To Use Throwing Knives In Cyberpunk 2077

How To Use Throwing Knives In Cyberpunk 2077
There is a Cool Stealth skill that unlocks throwing knives, but where are they? This guide on How To Use Throwing Knives In Cyberpunk 2077 explains everything about the Dagger Dealer skill, so you can use your new tools and equipment to take down enemies quickly, and quietly.

There are many different paths of progression in Cyberpunk 2077, each offering different bonuses and abilities to your character. The Cool Attribute tree focuses on Stealth and Cold Blood. There are a number of stealth upgrades, or Perks, that you can buy, one of which is the Dagger Dealer skill that reads "Allows you to throw knifes". If you're anything like me, perhaps you thought that meant you were given throwing knives, but not quite.

How To Use Throwing Knives In Cyberpunk 2077

How To Use Throwing Knives In Cyberpunk
As the skill reads, it just means you can throw knives. When you are in your inventory screen, select one of your weapons and then select the melee tab. You'll find all the melee weapons you've gathered in your adventures in Night City, assuming you haven't dismantled them all already.

So, how do you throw a knife. Simple. You equip a knife from your inventory, like you do any other weapon. Once you are holding the knife, hold the aim button (L2 on PlayStation, LT on Xbox). You then aim your knife. Aim at your target and throw the knife by pressing the fire button. The real killer here is that you do not get your knife back.

Whether you hit your target or you miss, your knife is lost forever. Even if you purchase a bunch more knives, you're still going to run out much quicker than you can restock. We'd highly suggest you ignore this Perk altogether and maybe respec if you've wasted a lot of points already.

Gamers Heroes 2020 Holiday Gift Guide: Sleeper Hits of the Year

What do you get the gamer who has it all?

Those who kept up with the gaming landscape this year have no doubt picked up every last AAA release to hit store shelves. If you're looking to get a unique gift for these hardcore folks, never fear – there were plenty of underground titles released in 2020 that will make even the most devout player smile with glee.

For those looking to do some last-minute shopping, here are Gamers Heroes' 2020 sleeper hits of the year:

Mortal Shell

Fans of SoulsBorne titles are certainly not starved with choice, with Demon's Souls, Hellpoint, and other titles making their debut this year. However, those looking for more games like FromSoftware's classics shouldn't sleep on Mortal Shell.

In true Souls fashion, combat provides an absolutely brutal challenge. However, parrying enemies and stealing HP from them changes up the typical Estus Flask reliance, and four different "Shell" classes keeps each playthrough fresh. Even the environments are unique, with undead ice caves, towers full of assassins, and flame areas with fire knights keeping you on your toes.

Mortal Shell shines brightly as an example of the formula done well, and will provide a meaty challenge to even the most hardened player.

You can read our review of Mortal Shell here.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON

Released during the summer doldrums, Bandai Namco brought the action of the overseas arcade fighter Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON to Western audiences to little fanfare.

Despite this quiet launch, this two-on-two fighter has got quite the pedigree. The fanservice alone makes this one stand out – more than 100 playable Gundams from ∀ Gundam to Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam make their appearance, paired with voiced lines (subbed, of course) and scripted fights in its Maxi Boost Missions mode.

The gameplay keeps pace as well, featuring a system that stresses the importance of speed. Built for both ranged fighters and melee battlers, its frantic, fluid, and fun action appeals to those from every sort of background. Anime and fighting game fans alike will no doubt be happy with this PlayStation 4 hit under their tree.

You can read our review of Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON here.

Observer: System Redux

A certain Cyberpunk title stole the headlines this year, but there was another genre-defining hit this year in the form of Observer: System Redux.

Its world of plagues and wars might not have Keanu Reeves, but it does have psychedelic visuals, terrifying chase scenes, and next-generation graphics that put the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X through its paces. Filling in the shoes of a detective, this psychological thriller has players examining crime scenes, hunting down clues, questioning witnesses, and locating suspects in strange and bizarre places.

Even those who played the original Observer will find something to love with Observer: System Redux. Gameplay and content have been improved, and the once maligned stealth aspects have been overhauled to provide a fluid experience throughout.

All of these come together to create one of the best remaster packages in ages – just the thing to complement your loved one's new console purchase.

You can read our review of Observer: System Redux here.

Fairy Tail

Licensed anime games can be hit and miss – the otaku among us want something that plays well and doesn't amount to filler.

Leave it up to the folks at Koei Tecmo to create a solid Fairy Tail JRPG that's true to its source material. A return to form for the classic turn-based RPG combat of yesteryear, this adaptation of the Weekly Shonen Magazine phenomenon chronicles Natsu's journey through both fan favorite episodes and original in-game episodes. Though it starts out lighthearted, it soon leads to an epic struggle between the forces of good and evil.

Gameplay doesn't skip a beat, featuring excellent turn-based combat that uses a 3×3 grid and an easily digestible combination of features that appeals to both casual and hardcore gamers.

Those who have an active Crunchyroll subscription will be thrilled to add this title to their queue this holiday season.

You can read our review of Fairy Tail here.

Summer in Mara

The holiday season can be absolutely maddening, which is why the calm, relaxing, and welcoming world of Summer in Mara is just what the doctor ordered.

With this game, the world of Mara is at your fingertips, one that is full of character and made with a loving passion. Players will meet a number of characters on their journey, each with their own dialogue, relationships, and personalities. Its carefully blended crafting system is designed to be simple and approachable, all while providing just enough challenge for older generations.

Though it is more about the journey than the destination, those looking for a breather from the heavy hitter rush can find their moment of zen with this title.

You can read our review of Summer in Mara here.

This guide on How To Respec In Cyberpunk 2077 will explain how you can reset all of your Perk Points, allowing you to invest them into different trees, providing V with a brand new selection of skills and abilities.

Each time you level up in Cyberpunk 2077 you earn two different currencies. Attribute Points and Perk Points. Attribute Points are investing into different attributes, which then impacts the available Perks that you're able to buy. We're not sure if you can reset your Attribute Points, however, you can definitely reset your Perk Points. Attribute Points are rarely a waste as there's always useful skills in that tree somewhere but some Perks are definitely more valuable than others.

How To Respec In Cyberpunk 2077

How To Respec In Cyberpunk
You can respec relatively early on in the game, as soon as you're able to explore Night City for yourself. However, it's not cheap, so you'll want to earn some money fast. First thing you need to do is track down a Ripperdoc. These are spread through the city, marked by scissor like icons on the map. Any Ripperdoc will do, it doesn't need to be a specific one. Once you've found your favorite doc speak with them and ask you change your implants. This then brings up the Cyberware screen.

Look at the top of the screen and you will see a Trade option there also. Press L1/R1 or LB/RB on PlayStation or Xbox respectively to open the Trade screen. You then need to check for the Tabula E-Rasa legendary item. For $100,000 credits you can purchase this item, which then resets all of your Perk points. Cyberpunk 2077 Clothing Sets Guide
Want to unlock more Clothing Sets for your character? This Cyberpunk 2077 Clothing Sets Guide explains the basics of the Clothing Sets system and provides details on how to unlock all of the different clothing sets we've discovered in our adventures in Night City.

Clothing Sets are special items that you can equip, but they behave differently to the normal clothing items you can find. Regular clothing items have stats, mod slots, they increase your defense and provide other benefits. Clothing Sets provide no mechanical benefits, they offer no stat boosts and no other bonuses. However, they do allow you to equip the Clothing Sets over the top of your armor. This lets you choose and maintain and appearance throughout the game, regardless of what clothes you choose to wear underneath.

How To Increase Street Cred In Cyberpunk 2077

How To Increase Street Cred In Cyberpunk 2077
Street Cred unlocks access to more weapons, more armor, and better Cybernetic Implants. This guide on How To Increase Street Cred In Cyberpunk 2077 will tell you about the fastest method we've discovered to raising your Street Cred at a steady pace as you continue to explore Night City.

It's important to note that Street Cred is heavily tied into the rewarding aspect of the progression system in Cyberpunk 2077. If you could immediately farm up to level 50 Street Cred, you'd have access to ridiculous weapons, massively powerful implants, and all the armor you could ever need. As such, it's slow progress. However, if you focus on a few primary activities, you can definitely increase your Street Cred quicker.

How To Increase Street Cred In Cyberpunk 2077

How To Increase Street Cred In Cyberpunk
If you want to progress quickly through the Street Cred ranks, drop the story. While you do get some here and there, it's very slow and the amounts are usually quite small. You want to focus on objectives that can be found out and about, when you're exploring Night City.

One of the best objectives are those working with the NCPD. You will get missions that are Reported Crimes, Crimes in Progress, these offer a great way to earn money fast in Cyberpunk, but they also offer huge boosts to your Street Cred. You get a bonus for completing each mission and you also get bonuses for killing some of the enemies, if they are of high enough rank or bounty.

The general ? icons that do not reveal until you are close are typically very good also. They are fast, usually only taking a minute or two, and can get you a lot of Street Cred. Focusing on side content, optional objectives, and random encounters is easily the best way to increase Street Cred quickly.

How To Buy A Car In Cyberpunk 2077

How To Buy A Car In Cyberpunk 2077
There are many cars and bikes to collect in Cyberpunk 2077 and if you're wondering How To Buy A Car In Cyberpunk 2077, we've got you covered. If you're still early in your adventures in Night City, it's very likely that you have yet to reach the point in the game where it explains how to unlock new vehicles.

Other games that share the open-world genre with vehicles and other methods of transportation, often have dealerships where you can find a large stock of different vehicles. That's likely why people are searching for where they can buy new cars. However, the option to simply visit a dealership and make a decision on which car to buy, is not yet available in Cyberpunk 2077. It may open up later into the game but at the moment, there's only a single method of buying new cars.

How To Buy A Car In Cyberpunk 2077

When you first start out in Night City, you'll have your own vehicle. A few hours later, progressing through the story, you can unlock a motorcycle for free. Once you've done that, you're on your own. New vehicle opportunities pop up based on, what appears to be, two factors. Your Street Cred and your exploration. Whenever you reach a new location while exploring Night City, a new district, you will get a text message or a phone call from a new contact.

Sometimes these include jobs but eventually, as you continue to build your Street Cred, you will get messages from other people selling vehicles. This will then give you a mission in your Journal under "Rides". Simply select the car you want to purchase, make it your active objective, and then follow it to the location to buy the vehicle.

The journal doesn't provide pictures of the cars but if you go into your messages, in your phone, and check the ones about a new vehicle. Each text message comes with a picture of the car so you know what you're about to buy. They aren't cheap, so it's a good idea to make some fast cash in Cyberpunk 2077 first.

One of the options in Cyberpunk 2077 has you obtaining a virus chip from Militech. Check out this guide to find out how to remove the virus from the chip in Cyberpunk 2077. This way you have all the options open to you when dealing with the Maelstrom.

How To Remove The Virus From The Chip In Cyberpunk 2077

After you get the chip, you can find it in your Journal menu under Shards. For me it was at the very bottom, it should be for you as well. Scroll over it and near the top you should see the option to hack into the chip. From here it is a basic breach protocol and you have to align the numbers to disable the virus. You do have two options however, remove virus or copy the virus. I copied the virus, which I haven't been able to use in about 12 hours of play so far. I will update if it pops up down the line

If you remove the virus, you can get the chip to the Maelstrom Leader without having his guys blow up. However, knowledge of the virus is enough, you don't have to remove it. If you tell him about the virus he will remove it himself and you can take the bot without having to fight him or his goons. The Militech lady will NOT be happy about this, but you get out with no fighting. Royce is the leader and he does have an Iconic Pistol though, if you are collecting those.

Personally, in my opinion, copy the virus, use the chip to fry some of the Maelstorm guys, fight your way out and collect a ton of loot, and beat the mission. That's what I recommend anyways.

Where To Take Jackie In Cyberpunk 2077

There are three main choices here, each having a slightly different outcome.

Wait For Me Here
You tell the AI cab driver to wait in the car with Jackie. However, due to events outside of your control, you do not return to the cab. You do not get the funeral option if you make this choice.

Send Him To His Family
You instruct the AI driver to return the body to his family. Later in the story, when you speak to his mother, she is happy that his body was returned to her and she will make funeral plans, asking you to attend.

Send Him To Viks
You tell the driver that his family should not see Jackie in this state, send him to Viks. When you visit Viks later, he explains that Arasaka took the body, but that's it. Jackie's mother will be distraught that she doesn't have her sons body and can't even give him a funeral.

The "best" choice here for the happiest ending for those involved, is to instruct the AI in the car to take Jackie back to his family. However, there is a moment later in the story where Takemura claims his engram could still be alive somewhere. We'll update if we learn more.
