okayu nyumu demo

A free playable demo of Okayu Nyumu came out in Japan on February 6, 2025. You can play up to Chapter 2, and your progress in the demo will carry over in the complete version of the game. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

Okayu Nyumu is a visual novel starring Nekomata Okayu, a VTuber associated with hololive. She first revealed it in October 2024 during a stream. In Okayu Nyumu, Okayu is a mysterious girl with cat ears, and she appears in the protagonist's house after they feed a stray cat one day. The two end up living together, and you can get closer to her through dialogue options. According to the website's description, Okayu Nyumu is a game that focuses on the pure love between you and Okayu as you two go about your daily lives together.

Okayu isn't the only hololive member to appear in the game. In November 2024, Entergram revealed that Inugami Korone will also be in Okayu Nyumu as a major character. However, it doesn't look like other hololive VTubers will make appearances in this game, judging by the official website. The people behind the Korone and Okayu personas are very close friends, which is likely why Korone's the only one to make a cameo.

Okayu Nyumu will come out on February 27, 2025 for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.

sanrio purikura bloomit

Furyu announced that its Bloomit purikura machines will, for a limited time, have Sanrio collaboration frames. You'll be able to take pictures and decorate them with mascots like Hello Kitty between February 17 and May 11, 2025.

The theme of this collaboration focuses on kogal culture (think characters like Momo from Dandadan) from the Heisei era (1989 to 2019). Frames you can choose during the Sanrio and Bloomit collaboration look like a student ID card to match with this theme. While you can't really use this as an actual student ID, you can use it to commemorate your high school or middle school years. Of course, you don't have to be in middle or high school to take these pictures with a friend.

Though the frames will remain the same throughout the campaign, the stickers you can choose will change depending on what month it is. Between February 17 and March 31, the stickers will look like the mascots are at a graduation ceremony, or like they're changing classes. Then, between April 1 and May 11, it'll look like they're at an opening ceremony or they're moving to the next grade. The collaboration only features three mascots: Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Kuromi.

The Bloomit purikura machines will have the Sanrio frames and stickers between February 17 and May 11, 2025.

nintendo switch 2 demand

Nintendo announced in an investor's Q&A that it plans to produce as many Nintendo Switch 2 consoles as possible to meet possible demand. It acknowledges the risk it's taking to do so. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

During the online Q&A, an investor asked about how many Nintendo Switch 2 consoles Nintendo plans to produce for its initial run. They also commented on how, during the COVID-19 pandemic and insuing quarantine, the demand for Nintendo Switch increased so much that Nintendo had trouble producing more to meet it.

In response, Shuntaro Furukawa, the president of Nintendo, replied that Nintendo will look at consumer reactions after the Nintendo Direct and demos to feel out the market. As a reminder, the next Nintendo Direct stream will be on April 2, 2025. Currently, it plans to shoulder potential financial risk during the production process to meet as many demands as possible. However, Furukawa did not go into the specifics about the production plan. Nintendo also learned from its experience during the pandemic. So it's also making preparations to ramp up production if there's a sudden rise in demand.

Nintendo officially revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 in January 2025, and the console will come out this year. More details about the Switch 2, such as games available at launch, will be announced at the upcoming April 2025 Nintendo Direct presentation.

Henry in KCD2

Like real life, money makes the world go round in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Acquiring coins will be challenging initially, but there are a few ways to quicken the process. Here's what you need to do to make Groschen fast in KCD2.

Best methods to make money fast in KCD2

The start of your KCD2 adventures can be pretty rough, especially since you're left with little to no money. At the beginning of my journey, I made many mistakes when attempting to earn coins, often leaving me with a hot ball of nothing through certain techniques. But, after a while, I finally started to find my groove using a few handy methods. For a quick overview, you can utilize the following techniques to make money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2:

  • Go on a stealing spree
  • Complete the Cabbage Thief quest
  • Win in fistfighting competitions
  • Play and win dice games
  • Find treasure maps and uncover valuables
  • Complete side quests
  • Unlock Perks

Since the methods above are slightly challenging, I'll break them all down to help you understand them better.

Go on a stealing spree

Stealing and robbing is the quickest way to make Groschen fast, but it's not without risks. If you're caught, you'll likely need to spend money to get out of trouble. Or, go the violent route and attack the guard who's got ahold of you. However, you can always save and quit before attempting a robbery, allowing you to try again if things go wrong.

It's also a good idea to choose the Scout playstyle, as it will help with sneaky maneuvers. Plus, you can boost your stealth skill by exchanging the Perk Points you'll earn throughout your playthrough. Another tactic I like to do is to wait for nighttime and rob someone while they're sleeping. That way, you don't have to worry about any watchful eyes.

Complete the Cabbage Thief quest

If you want to make a lot of money early on in the game, you can talk to Bailiff Thrush at the starter town, Troskowitz. He'll tell you about a cabbage thief who's been robbing a Grocer (to the left of Semine). All you need to do is follow the trail of cabbages and turn in the thief to claim the money. You don't even need to initiate any combat since the robber doesn't put up a fight.

Win in fistfight competitions

Fighting Hensel in KCD2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has its own version of a fight club in Lower Semine Mill. Speak to Miller Kreyzl about it to unlock this unique feature.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Talk to Hensel to begin the fistfighting competition, where you'll have to wager 10 Groschen each time. It's a small price you have to pay to earn more money later on. Defeat Hensel, Malik, and Vira for a total of 60 Groschen.

Return to Miller Kreyzl to unlock the Zhelejov fistfights. Fortunately, Miller will pay the entry fee this time, giving you 150 Groschen. You can take this money and be on your way or use it to participate in the Zhelejov fights.

If you want to make extra money, go to Zhelejov Wagoners' Inn  (to the left of Troskowitz). Talk to the Innkeeper Lawrence to begin the Wine, Women, and Blood quest for 100 Groschen. You'll also need to speak to Bathhouse Owner Dorothy and convince her to let Fiala fight. Additionally, you can talk to Bathwench Anna near Dorothy to get an extra reward after knocking out Bohunek.

Now, it's time to defeat Hannes, Bohunek, and Fiala to earn 60 Groschen in total (exchange 10 Groschen to begin each one). Remember to talk to Bathwench Anna to replenish your health and sew your clothing for free. Then, talk to the Innkeeper Lawrence to get 200 Groschen. You'll unlock the last fighter, the Trosky Grandmaster, who will be above Trosky Castle. Although this mission doesn't provide you with Groschen, you can go there to pick up a new skill teacher.

Play and win dice games

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 dice minigame

You can discover dice tables in almost every major Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 settlement. The goal here is to earn plenty of dice combinations, whether with multiples of the same number or a straight (like poker). Similar to the robbing technique, you can save beforehand to keep your money intact if things don't go as planned. This method is heavily luck-based, but it can give you a lot of money when you come out victorious.

Find treasure maps

Hidden treasure location in KCD2

Speak to various NPCs, like Innkeepers or merchants, to get hints about the game's many treasure maps. Enemies can carry these maps, too, but you'll need to take them down to loot them from their bodies. Sometimes, the treasure maps can lead to valuable gear, including the Lion's Crest Bonus Quest. While missions like these don't give you too much money, you can at least save yourself from spending Groschen on equipment.

Complete side quests

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 The Jaunt side quest guide

Considering that Main Quests usually take up a lot of your time, opt for the Side Quests to get more bang for your buck. Objectives like the Jaunt and Bad Blood provide Groschen, which you can complete early on in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. I recommend just exploring around the map to see what side adventures you unlock. Depending on your luck, you may find one that gives you a significant amount of Groschen.

Unlock Perks

Unlocking Potion Seller skill

Specific Perks increase how much money you'll make when selling items to a merchant. For instance, the Alchemy Skill's Potion Seller offers a 30 percent sell boost when exchanging the potions you've brewed. You can also use the On the Poacher's Trail Survival Skill to sell herbs, game, hides, and trophies for double the price.

Destiny 2 Lodestar Exotic.

It's been a while since there was a reason for players to get excited about a trace rifle in Destiny 2. However, the new Lodestar Exotic trace rifle from Episode: Heresy might be just the thing to rekindle that old love with the weapon type.

Destiny 2's trace rifles had a bit of a heyday up into the Lightfall era. Back then, it was much easier to generate heavy ammo bricks when using two special ammo weapons. Trace rifles fit nicely as the "primary" special weapon, featuring large reserves. Those days wouldn't stick around forever, though, and the guns fell by the wayside when Bungie retuned heavy ammo drops. Now, with a primary ammo trace rifle on the table, it might harken back to those old times.

Where does the Lodestar come from?

Destiny 2's Heresy Season Pass.
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Lodestar Exotic trace rifle is a reward that's exclusive to Episode: Heresy's Season Pass. That said, players don't necessarily need to purchase the Episode itself to access the new weapon; it's available on the free reward track at Rank 40. So, as long as you're participating in Destiny 2 during Episode: Heresy, you shouldn't have a problem acquiring the weapon.

If players did shell out for Episode: Heresy or bought the annual pass version of The Final Shape, the Lodestar will be available to claim immediately from the Season Pass. Further into the premium track, the Artificial Sun Ornament is also available once Guardians reach Rank 100.

Once Heresy is over, the Lodestar will likely be available for purchase through the Monument to Lost Lights in The Tower. While Bungie hasn't explicitly confirmed this, it has happened to countless other Exotic weapons earned through the Season Pass.

What does the Lodestar do?

Destiny 2 Lodestar Exotic gameplay.
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Lodestar is very different from the trace rifles players are familiar with. On the surface, one reason is that the gun uses primary ammo, essentially making it infinite. Looking deeper, the Exotic also has some peculiar behaviors that might take a little getting used to.

When Guardians aim down the sights of the Lodestar, instead of emitting a solid beam like other trace rifles, it will behave more like a pulse rifle. The bursts of energy have their place, though, as they increase damage and detonate Blinding explosions on Arc-debuffed enemies. Additionally, once players deal enough Arc damage while using the Lodestar, they can perform an alternate reload to imbue the weapon with Jolt while firing from the hip.

The Lodestar should work nicely with any number of Arc builds in this Episode, especially with the Artifact Perks that rely on Arc debuffs like Jolt. Lodestar may be hitting far above its weight class during Heresy because of its Arc focus, but even after, it'll still allow players to relive the glory days of running double special weapons.
