PCGamesN Tuesday, March 11, 2025 8:19 AM ![]() Trying to find out where to buy the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU? Well, we're here to help you with that. We've checked the virtual store shelves of retailers around the world to find where Nvidia's latest mid-range gaming GPU is either in stock, available for pre-order, or where you can set up stock notifications for the new graphics card. Although our RTX 5070 review showed it to be a card that doesn't offer the best bang per buck compared to the performance we saw from AMD in our RX 9070 XT review, it's still the best graphics card option from Nvidia in this price range, even if the company's claims the RTX 5070 offers RTX 4090 performance don't really hold up to scrutiny. Meanwhile, with the RTX 5070 release date now upon us, stock of the GPU is extremely limited. As such, you'll have to be lightning fast to grab one, if you don't want to pay inflated prices from scalpers buying the cards from trusted retailers, only to then resell them on the likes of eBay. The official RTX 5070 price is $549 / $549 CAD / £549 / AU$1,109 for the Founders Edition card, so that's the price you should be hoping to pay for Nvidia's own stylish model. Other overclocked cards from the likes of Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac might demand more, but that's the ballpark figure you should expect to pay for a standard, stock speed card. Well, we have some good news as we're updating this guide daily with links to retailers around the world, so you can find out where the new mid-range graphics card is in stock, or at least find where there are pre-order or notification options in place. The Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti is the mid-tier card in the company's new RTX 5000 series GPU lineup. While the RTX 5070 is your entry into the series, and the RTX 5090 is the range-topper, the RTX 5070 Ti is the best graphics card choice in Nvidia's mid-range selection, thanks to its 16GB of VRAM. A notable aspect of the RTX 5070 Ti is that Nvidia isn't producing its own Founders Edition card. As such, there isn't an MSRP for that exact card. However, the guide price for stock-speed cards is $749 / $749 CAD / £729 / AU$1,109. These cards are manufactured by the likes of Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac. The RTX 5070 Ti release date was February 20, 2025, although stock sold out quickly after the launch. Even though the RTX 5080 came out in January 2025, many retailers still haven't replenished their stock of graphics cards, but there are some ways to get hold of the new GPU. The Nvidia RTX 5080 is a very popular option for those wanting to upgrade to an RTX 5000 series GPU. That's because, while our RTX 5090 review showed it to be the undisputed new best graphics card, it also offers relatively poor value for $1,999. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 11, 2025 7:23 AM ![]() The first enemy I encounter in the Steam demo for Songs Of Rats is a giant golem, encased in fridge-thick armour with fists the size of fridges and a thousand-fridge stare. If RPGs are good at anything, it's making numbers scary. To wit: The battle golem has 40 health, and I have a nerf crossbow with pretensions that does one entire damage. I manage to do two entire damage, and he downs me in two hits. This may well be what it feels like for a real life rat to fight a real life fridge, and in that, Songs Of Rats earns its name. The intro is all 80s cheese meets a desperate melancholy bolstered by bleak and bitty retro-futurist visuals. It's also very pen n' paper, down to losing health if you don't have enough food and the limited action points you have to spend each day on exploration. A trailer for you. It took some digging, I tell you. A certain other song about rats has monopoly on the search term. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 11, 2025 7:12 AM ![]() We all know what's coming up in The Last of Us season 2, right? I mean, everyone knows what happens quite early on in the game, because it was a pretty controversial narrative choice so everyone and their mum has spoiled it. I haven't played it myself and I know what happens, but it seems like streaming service Max is happy to pretend that everything is peaches and cream (more or less) in their adaptation. A new trailer for The Last of Us season 2 dropped over the weekend that is full of drama and light on spoilers, which is why I'm staying quiet too, but it has been funny watching all of these trailers knowing that they're lying just a little bit. |

Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for the new NieR: Automata Ver1.1a figma figure of A2. The figure costs $110.99/12,800 yen and it is set to release in Japan on January 2026, with its North American release window set for Q2 2026. [Thanks, Dengeki Hobby!]
Note: There will be major NieR: Automata spoilers regarding A2 below.
The pre-orders for the figure opened today in both the Good Smile Company Japan and US online shops, with the pre-order period ending on April 23, 2025. The figure is fully articulated and it stands at approximately 160mm (or 6.30 inches) tall when set upright.
Alongside a base to set A2 in different action or resting poses, the figure comes with various hand parts and three face plates; a standard one, a face with gritted teeth, and a shouting face. Additionally, other parts included are a Type-4O small sword and large blade, as well as various alternate hair pieces, such as a dynamic long hair part, and a short hair part.
You can check out the new A2 figma figure here:

Build-a-Bear continues to make and sell giant Sanrio character stuffed animals, and it announced that it brought back its huge Kuromi plush. This is a gigantic toy that first debuted about a year ago in March 2024. It's now back on March 11, 2025, with a $128 standard version and one that costs $134.50 and includes a bow.
This Kuromi stands at 36 inches tall. As such, she can't wear standard Build-a-Bear clothing. The only accessory option available at the retailer is a "gifting bow" with that is purple with pink skull accents, lavendar hearts, and little versions of the character on it. That can be bought in the bundle or alone for $6.50. While it is large, it can arrive either stuffed or unstuffed, so you could have it filled at a store.
The size does involve some other limitations. You can't choose economy shipping, so only standard, express, and next day options are available. There are also extra charges if you go with the faster two options. You also can only get it online. It won't be in-stores, and you can't pick up one you purchased from a location in a mall or something.
Here's how the Build-a-Bear giant Kuromi plush looks, with the pictures of it offering a sense of scale due to a person holding the Sanrio stuffed animal in them.

The last huge Sanrio stuffed animal to appear there was one of Cinnamoroll. The rerun of that toy appeared in January 2025. We also got to meet a big Pompompurin too. That showed up in October 2024.
The giant Kuromi plush is now back at Build-a-Bear, and the store is selling both it and a standard size stuffed animal of the Sanrio character now. You can only find the huge version of the character online.

Behaviour Interactive announced that Tokyo Ghoul is the next Dead by Daylight crossover and confirmed that means Ken Kaneki will be a playable character. He's available to test out later on March 11, 2025, if you get access to the Steam public test build. However, his official launch doesn't come until April 2, 2025, when cosmetics based on other characters from the anime and manga series and masks will appear.
There are very few details on how Ken Kaneki will function as the new killer called The Ghoul in Dead by Daylight, but we should know details soon considering he's in the public test build later today. We do know he's a "bad guy" here, rather than being a hero like he is in the original anime and manga. He will still use his Rinkaku Kagune tentacles to move and attack. Behaviour also mentioned an Enraged Mode, which almost sounds a bit like it resembles his Rinkaku Kakuja state.
As for the other characters who will appear as part of the Dead by Daylight Tokyo Ghoul crossover, there's a list of some of the cosmetics debuting when that launches in April 2025. Here's what we'll see:
There's no word about prices for anything yet.
One of the last crossovers in Dead by Daylight involved Castlevania. If someone picked up that $7.99 Chapter DLC after it debuted in August 2024, they got access to the Killer Dracula and Survivor Trevor Belmont. Since then, a Doomed Course add-on brought The Houndmaster Killer and Survivor Taurie Cain in November 2024.
Dead by Daylight is available on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Tokyo Ghoul DLC debuts officially on April 2, 2025. The Tokyo Ghoul anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, while Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan.

Capcom and Taito announced that they will add Mai Shiranui to Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade on March 13, 2025. Players of the game's arcade version will soon be able to use the SNK guest character on their preferred platform. As that will be in a cabinet, there will be no additional fee or need to buy DLC to use the crossover character.
The arcade version, which is separately handled by Taito, usually has a staggered update pace from the original fighting game releases that Capcom is managing on consoles and PC. As an example, the other SNK guest character Terry Bogard appeared in Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade on October 24, 2024, which is exactly a month after he debuted on the console and PC releases on September 24, 2024. Mai will be a similar case, as she has been available on the original Street Fighter 6 releases since February 5, 2025.
The difference will lie in the availabilities in the character selection menu. In the console and PC releases, players have to purchase DLC to unlock the post-launch characters. In this arcade port, Capcom and Taito are making all extra characters available to choose without any additional charges besides the credits required for a gameplay session.
![]()
The addition of Mai Shiranui will not be the only new thing in this arcade update. Capcom and Taito will also add High Master, Grand Master, and Ultimate Master as new achievable ranks in the Master League.
In addition, people who play the game on both arcades and consoles (or PC) can link both of their accounts. If they have acquired Master League titles and DX character colors in the console/PC version of Street Fighter 6, they can also use those in their linked account for Type Arcade.
Mai Shiranui will appear in Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade on March 13, 2025. The character is readily available via DLC in the PC and console releases of Street Fighter 6, the latter of which appear on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X.

Square Enix announced that the company is planning various projects to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Chrono Trigger. The company did not offer any further details on what these projects will entail.
The announcement post mentioned that the anniversary celebration projects will appear over the next year. Furthermore, the company specified that these upcoming projects will be outside of the realm of video game, so we shouldn't see any major video game announcements for the anniversary celebration.
More information about the Chrono Trigger anniversary projects will appear in the game's official social media accounts, as well as the official Square Enix social media. As a side note, the official Square Enix account misspelled the Chrono Trigger release year as 1985, with the game's official account correcting this mistake in its own announcement post.
March 11, 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Chrono Trigger in Japan. It is a game created as a collaboration between Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii, Dragon Ball manga author Akira Toriyama, and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. It first debuted on the Super Nintendo worldwide, before eventually being ported to other platforms.
Chrono Trigger is readily available on PC via Steam, Android, and iOS devices. The game originally released on March 11, 1995 for Super Famicom, and it also received PlayStation and Nintendo DS re-releases.

Infold changed the way Love and Deepspace players interact with our love interests, turning the typically 2D anime-style otome genre into a 3D free-to-play mobile game. It was an instant hint when it launched in January 2024, but that didn't stop players from questioning why the portable dating sim contained a period tracker. Now in an interview with 4Gamer, the developers explained why the feature ended up added. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
![]()
Producer Reese and lead writer Nomi explained why the team decided to offer its players the ability to track their periods. As translated by Siliconera, Reese explained, "Firstly, we have many female users, and many of the people on our team are women. For most women, menstruation is part of their daily lives. We thought about how nice it would be if our partners took extra care of us during this time."
The team also explained how they wanted the feature to be completely optional, and didn't want players to feel pressured into inputting their menstrual data into the game. This is why there are no rewards for doing so, outside of your "husband" of choice writing you an extra cute note to help you get through the day, and offering his loving support.
This is one of multiple major updates to appear in Love and Deepspace in 2025. Caleb ended up added as a new love interest, bringing the total number up to five. A Rafayel birthday event appeared earlier in March 2025, and there's currently a Zayne banner running.
Love and Deepspace is available for free on Android and iOS.

Carmen Sandiego is one of the world's most beloved edutainment game series. Somehow, this spy game that secretly tries to teach kids about geography is still going. After the 2019 animated series from Netflix, here is an adaptation of that series taking it back to its video game roots.
On the surface, the new Carmen Sandiego might not have much to do with the original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. The trailers all show cool action sequences and puzzle-solving, painting a picture of a game where our titular heroine undergoes cool heists and saves the day. Do not believe the lies. This is, despite the flashy Netflix presentation, the same Carmen Sandiego kids in the 90s played to learn the capital of Uganda. Mostly.
![]()
If you're unaware how the Carmen Sandiego game series works, you are a detective with the ACME agency, on the hunt for master thieves across the world. An artifact has been stolen, and you must track who stole it and where in the world they are. In each location, you find clues. These come in two forms – clues to where the suspect went, and clues to who they are. The latter are usually things like eye color or favorite food, both of which can be cross-referenced with the agency's files to narrow down the suspect. The meat of this is in the location clues though, which mostly consist of real-world facts about the possible destinations.
Carmen herself was one of the master thieves you were trying to track down in the original game. However, this game is based on the Netflix series, where she is now Sly Cooper for some reason. Still a master thief, just one that goes after other criminals. So instead of trying to find her, you play as her as she hunts down the other suspects.
![]()
This is where all the fancy stuff comes in. In the original game, you'd click on a location within each city you travel to and get a clue. Now you have to work for that clue, usually via a point-and-click segment where you speak to people and investigate suspicious parts of the environment. Sometimes this will be replaced with a minigame, such as a QTE, a safe-cracking minigame, a gliding game or something similar. Either way, the clue is your reward for completing these segments successfully.
The point-and-click segments are decent. They're a little simplistic, but they do add a nice extra layer of interactivity. The minigames, however, are a mixed bag. Any of the QTE style minigames are generally tedious and a reminder of why we should be grateful games stopped relying on them years ago. The safe cracking is fine but nothing special. The hang-gliding minigame should be great but is marred with control issues. On top of these problems, all the minigames come with the stink of mobile game ranking systems. A gaudy star meter hovers nearby in almost all of them, assessing your performance. Gameloft should have just stuck to making this a straightforward adventure game, but I guess these minigames look more exciting in a trailer.
![]()
Despite the issues with the minigames, the actual mystery solving of Carmen Sandiego starts out interesting. The geographic clues proved to be genuinely challenging to figure out. The suspect database was fun to work with. The time limit inherent to every case also applies a decent level of pressure to figure out the answers quickly.
However, it doesn't take long before you've seen everything Carmen Sandiego has to offer. The number of cities you can travel to is pathetically small, consisting of maybe two cities per continent. A similar problem happens with the clues themselves, which frequently default to "the airport code contains this letter" above any other option. These are the least interesting, as I can figure out a suspect went to Tokyo when they visit a ryokan, but I'm never remembering either of the city's major airport codes. What's worse, I eventually started getting that specific clue two times per city, and it sucked all fun out of the mystery solving.
![]()
Progressing through the story of Carmen Sandiego exacerbates this. Remember I said you get assessed on a 5-star system on every minigame like it's a generic mobile game? This style of design seeps into progression too, where unlocking new stages is based on your current level, but simply playing the game normally never awards enough XP. Instead, you constantly have play stripped down versions of the main stages that remove the minigames and presentation. Usually multiple times because these also give a tiny amount of XP compared to what you need to level up. It's so tedious that I half expected a store page to pop up saying I could skip the grind by purchasing some special XP packs. This didn't happen in my review build but don't be surprised if it sneaks into the final release since it feels cynically designed for it.
The result of all this repetition is a miserable experience buried under some decent presentation. At first I was willing to accept a lot of this simplicity as the game being intended for younger audiences. However, a cursory glance at the original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? exposes further problems with the new game. The original game saw you drowning in cities across all continents, and the level of detail the clues went into required a lot more research and learning than the new game's obsession with remembering three letters used by baggage handlers. The original game felt like a suitable challenge for a child but also capable of feeding them a ton of knowledge.
![]()
Carmen Sandiego does improve a lot from the original design, admittedly. Clues are retained in an easy-to-reference notebook. The suspect database is streamlined and easy to work with. The presentation is excellent, with decent visuals and a superb jazzy soundtrack that enhances the detective vibes. However, where it really matters, this new game is an inferior experience. The limited scope of locations and clues coupled with tedious progression turn the game into a slog, and it doesn't even have the educational value for young audiences that the original does.
Ultimately, I came away from this new Carmen Sandiego game feeling frustrated. The strong basic mechanics and presentation are let down with baffling progression and repetition. You'd be better off playing the original in a browser for free. At least you might learn something there.
The new Carmen Sandiego game is out now for Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and mobile devices via Netflix.

Subterra is a pretty unique game (if you've never played the Steam World Dig series), and it can be daunting to figure out what you're actually supposed to do. To help you progress through the mines and biomes, we made this robust yet simple guide to help you along the way. If you're just starting out with Subterra, you should find everything you need in this Ultimate Subterra Beginner's Guide.
Table of contents
How to upgrade Backpack / Pickaxe in Subterra
![]()
This should be your highest priority in the game. Whenever you can, upgrade your Backpack and Pickaxe. Not only that, but every time you start working on a new upgrade, make sure you pin the materials needed to the side (talk to the Backpack Upgrade and the Blacksmith NPC and select the pin option to do so). Working towards your next upgrade is also a great way to tell how deeper into the mines you need to go.
How to fast travel in Subterra
![]()
One very convenient feature in Subterra is your ability to quickly go back to the surface and back into the mines again. Simply select the "To Surface" option above your health bar (bottom left corner). You can also use the "To Mines" option while on the surface, but it won't teleport you back to the exact same location you were while in the mines. Later into the game, you'll also unlock the ability to fast travel using portals.
How to rank up in Subterra
![]()
Ranking up in Subterra is similar to prestiging in video games. During each rank, you have a level cap you need to reach. When you do, you pretty much have to rank up in order to proceed. This resets your level back to 1, gives you some Chrono Shards, but it also raises your level cap a bit. Every two levels, you also get an extra ability slot.
Your level cap is always: Your current rank X 5. Currently, the max rank is 11. While it may seem annoying to level up your character from the beginning every time you use this, you still get to keep all your items, and you'll eventually get to grow stronger, so try not to let it bother you too much.
How to get Chrono Shards in Subterra
![]()
Chrono Shards are something of a premium currency in Subterra. Even though you can buy them using Robux, you can also earn a bunch just by playing the game, and here's how:
Chorono Shards are used to draw new ability cards from the Chrono Crystal, which give you new passive abilities.
Where to find Copper / Tin / Iron / Silver / Gold / Platinum in Subterra
![]()
If you can't find a certain type of raw ore needed for the next upgrade, it usually means you need to go deeper. The order in which you find the ores are as follows:
Copper - Tin - Iron - Silver - Gold - Platinum - Cobalt - Chromium - Titanium - Wolframite
However, if you fall down pretty deep and see Gold, but you are looking for Iron, you've gone too deep (so climb back up a few steps).
How to get Gems, Shards, and Crystals in Subterra
![]()
Unlike raw ore, Gems, Shards, and Crystals are pretty rare and somewhat difficult to find. They can appear anywhere on the map. The most effective way to find them is to open any chests you come across and hope you get the one you need inside. This worked for us better than looking for them by digging.
Which item should I always take with me in Subterra?
![]()
Wooden Ladder. Seriously, we can't count the number of times we found something cool but couldn't reach it because we didn't have a Wooden Ladder or a few of them. Always carry 5 - 10 of these, just in case.
What is the Collapse in Subterra?
![]()
The Collapse in Subterra is when the entire mine resets and players need to dig back down again. Because Subterra is a multiplayer game, any player can dig almost any block until eventually there would be nothing left to dig through. To prevent this, the Colapse resets the entire mine, along with all blocks, chests, and everything else.
That's all there is to it. Have fun digging and progressing in Subterra. If you want to stay up to date with the game's development, check out the Subterra Trello and Discord.

If you want to experience free games on Steam, there is, thankfully, a lot that the store has to offer. You can gallivant with your friends on hostile planets in PlanetSide 2 or message your love interest friend in a pseudo-AOL Messenger in Emily is Away.
The best free games on Steam offer a ton of content and have as few restrictions as possible. These 20 titles certainly do that in spades. The monthly active users are based on Steam Charts' stats from the past 30 days.
Apex Legends
![]()
One of the best battle royales in the market right now is Apex Legends. It provides the high-precision gunplay from Titanfall 2 and brings it into the competitive battle royale space. Sliding down hills and using each hero's powers is satisfying to perform in the game.
You'll have many intense moments as you contend against opposing teams, and the game provides many opportunities to fail or succeed. The free-to-play model is a little on the expensive side if you want cosmetics and more characters, but playing from the base roster is also entertaining to start off with in Apex Legends .
Brawlhalla
![]()
If you're annoyed you can't play Super Smash Bros. on PC, check out Brawlhalla. It features a smooth platform fighter experience that plays great online. It also has a vibrant cast of characters to choose from. Many will be locked behind payments or in-game progression, but there is a regularly updated free rotation of characters to choose from. One of the game's unique strategic elements is switching two weapons available to each player. Each weapon's move set is radically different, and you'll need to decide which option best suits the situation.
The Finals
![]()
Destructible environments, participating in a game show, and great gunplay all combine into The Finals, one of the latest multiplayer hits on Steam. You're taking a cash prize and trying to transport it to a capture area. On the way, you'll have to fend off two other teams of three.
With an exciting vertical element to each map, The Finals manages to stand out among its FPS competition. Check this game out when you can! Oh, and it's crossplay too!
My Hero Ultra Rumble
![]()
Anime fans, rejoice! My Hero Ultra Rumble is a neat battle royale take on the beloved anime series. Each hero or villain has their own quirks that change the battle. Deku can pick up allies and run fast to get away from enemies. Meanwhile, Cementoss creates stone walls to protect his team and keep the enemy team distracted.
If you don't want to shoot down enemies in Call of Duty Warzone or Fortnite, My Hero Ultra Rumble offers a refreshing take on the genre.
Emily is Away
![]()
Emily is Away is a nostalgic journey back into the Windows XP era of communication. There was no Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram. Instead, you used to chat on AOL Instant Messenger. This unique storytelling device isn't just a gimmick, however.
There's a beautifully told narrative about two friends who have grown apart from each other since high school and are trying to reconnect. Despite zero voice acting, all the emotional beats are there, as you await Emily's response. Try this one-hour game out when you can. It's one of the best free games on Steam.
Guild Wars 2
![]()
Can't afford Final Fantasy XIV Online or don't want to bother with the Battle.net client on PC for World of Warcraft? Guild Wars 2 is a good third option for an MMO. You can play the entirety of the engaging core campaign for free. However, there are restrictions you should keep in mind, like locked content until you reach a certain level. Despite that one fault, Guild Wars 2 offers a stunning world enriched with entertaining MMORPG gameplay.
Farlight 84
![]()
Tired of Fortnite and want something new? Farlight 84 may be your antidote. It blends the art style of Epic Games' battle royale and mixes it with the ability-based system of Apex Legends.
The result is a solid shooter that impresses new fans of the game and isn't even out of Early Access yet. The weapons feel heavy and powerful, and the overall environments look pleasing to the eye. Just turn off the voice acting; it's pretty bad!
Disney Speedstorm
![]()
Want a fun Mario Kart-like game without having to resort to emulation? Disney Speedstorm is a great free-to-play substitute. The tracks are immaculately designed and based on the films we know and love like Lilo & Stitch, Aladdin, and Pirates of the Caribbean. You'll avoid pillars of fire within the Cave of Wonders and giant tentacles from sea monsters in Port Royal.
While the items are disappointingly generic for a Disney game like this, there is a neat alternate use for most of them by holding down the button. For example, with a boost (mushroom), you can hold it to get three smaller bursts of speed rather than just one. Read my review for more information.
Marvel Snap
![]()
Everyone knows and loves the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so a card game based on the property could be a cheap cash-in. Fortunately, Marvel Snap is a cherished title for fans of card games, and it's free to play. "At work and at home, I just can't put it down," said CJ Andriessen in his review. "With its structure and speed, it doesn't feel as tactical as some of the other card games I've played, but it finds a way to be satisfying in its brevity." Each match in Marvel Snap also only lasts for three or so minutes, as opposed to Hearthstone, making this quick and easy to play.
Path of Exile
![]()
Path of Exile, despite it being a free Steam game, is an excellent alternative to the Diablo series if you crave more ARPG goodness. It features a tonne of passives to unlock through the huge skill tree system. It also includes plenty of classes, including the Duelist, Marauder, Ranger, Scion, Shadow, Templar, and Witch. Path of Exile will offer hours upon hours of content for the low, low price of $0, and it also has PvP modes like tournaments and Capture The Flag.
Team Fortress 2
![]()
A cherished multiplayer game for many Team Fortress 2 is an absolute classic. This team-based shooter has you playing different roles. One can be the Heavy, dealing a lot of damage with his mini-gun. Another player can send out Sentries and Teleporters throughout the map as the Engineer. There are many options available, so you can find the right playstyle. Despite the game being over a decade old, it still holds up visually with a cartoony art style. Give it a go if you haven't already.
The Sims 4
![]()
Living out your dreams as a Sim doesn't necessarily sound fun, but The Sims 4 somehow sucks you in for many hours at a time. Building your own house, family, and wealth in the game will feel rewarding. You also grow relationships with other sims by hanging out with them and performing a variety of activities in the community.
All of this is now free to play on Steam, so go ahead and download The Sims 4 if you want a chill simulation game to play.
Warframe
![]()
It's been a decade, but Warframe still pulls in players today. This game is extremely fast with powerful guns and delightful swordplay. It's been supported thoroughly by developer Digital Extremes. The game added an open world, and there is spaceship warfare to be had. The art style is also unabashedly strange as it embellishes its sci-fi genre with pride.
Omega Strikers
![]()
The precision of the MOBA gameplay of League mixed with the sport of soccer doesn't sound like a great mix, but Omega Strikers certainly proved me wrong. Each character has their own skills to master while you're trying to score a goal.
You can even take out your foes with your abilities by striking them out of the arena. The graphics are gorgeous, the concept really comes through, and the head-bump-worthy music will keep your heart racing. Check this game out!
Dark & Darker
![]()
Those who like sickeningly hard games will find comfort in Dark & Darker. In a D&D-like dungeon, you're exploring an ancient citadel thwart with many dangers. You'll be taking on tough monsters and making your way through the depths of this citadel to get the treasure you're seeing.
You can play as a barbarian, a ranger, and a bard in a three-person squad as you turn off lights to get away from enemy detection and utilize magic to gain the upper hand. The game is currently in early access, but it has a Mostly Positive score on Steam right now.
Marvel Rivals
![]()
Marvel Rivals is the latest game to take the world by storm with its well-designed suite of characters based on the comic book property. This third-person shooter/action multiplayer hybrid takes the heroes we know and love and has them work as a team. Luna Snow and Jeff the Land Shark heal the group (or freeze enemies in Luna's case), while guys like The Hulk and The Thing pummel the competition.
With fantastic visuals and exciting stages to explore, Marvel Rivals is a fantastic multiplayer game to get into. All of the characters are free, and sometimes skins are even offered for completing event missions. It's been called an Overwatch killer by many fans in the space.
Faaast Penguin
![]()
While Faaast Penguin isn't super active with 276 active players over the past 30 days, this little multiplayer game does have its fans. It's a rush to race against other players in frenetic courses as you're going down sledding as a penguin. You can also find shortcuts to help you beat fellow penguins in the race.
The visuals are bright, colorful, and charming to look at. It's also cross-play, so you can race your friends who are on consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. As you're playing the game, you'll gain a bunch of different outfits along the way. Keep in mind, however, that you'll need an Epic account to play this game, even on Steam.
Smite 2
![]()
Smite 2 is a continuation of the epic MOBA in Unreal Engine 5 rather than the old UE3 that the series has been plagued with for a long time. To me, this MOBA is much more accessible with its third-person camera and action-game-like setting than a top-down view. Despite that, it features the strategy you expect from the genre.
Ymir is an awesome tank that can freeze enemies in place and put up ice walls to stop them from getting away. Smite 2 revolves around Gods of different mythologies brawling it out, and it's fun to see how Hi-Rez Studios and the developer Titan Forge Games are inspired by the classic tales. Like Faaast Penguin, there is cross-play between all versions of the game, so no one will be left out.
Sky: Children of the Light
![]()
If you want a gaming experience a little less intense than Smite 2 or Marvel Rivals, Sky: Children of Light might be the answer. The developer of Journey and Flower, thatgamecompany has created a gorgeous multiplayer title that has you solving puzzles with friends and flying through seven stunning biomes with them. The aim of the game is to free your ancestors' spirits from the darkness and heal them. They can then be sent to their home among the stars above.
While you're going through this peaceful experience, you can unlock all manner of cosmetics that will make you stand out in this social MMO. Our original review for the mobile version said that the game is "blissful, imaginative, and a sight to behold."
Throne and Liberty
![]()
Throne and Liberty shows how far free-to-play games have come, in terms of scale and beautiful graphics. Developed by the studio that made Guild Wars, this action RPG has you exploring the open world of Solisium. It features a mix of PvP and PvE, and the battles you take part in can be affected by the weather and time of day, alongside other players who may fight you during key moments of the game.
Our review gave Throne and Liberty an impressive 8.5/10 score, comparing the game to classic eras of World of Warcraft and EverQuest. "Throne and Liberty feels like a step back in the right direction for MMORPGs, reviving a lot of the social features that seem to be missing from modern entries in the genre," the writer said. "While you can certainly still play solo, T&L gives you the opportunity to socialize and play with others in every aspect of its gameplay, even while leveling."

Throughout Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, you'll rob trains, break into bank vaults, and dive into black markets to acquire their wares. Along the way, you'll hear about special Mythic and Exotic-grade weapons that, although expensive, can easily secure you a win if you get them early.
How to find Outlaw Exotic and Mythic weapons in Fortnite
Most of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2's Outlaw Mythic and Exotic weapons are available after completing the game's Outlaw Keycard Community quests. After the community robs enough vaults to finish the quest, you'll unlock another set of objectives that level up your keycard rarity. An Uncommon-grade keycard lets you access Fortnite's Black Market backrooms to purchase Mythic and Exotic weapons.
![]()
Since the Outlaw Keycard quest is a community mission, you and everyone who plays Fortnite must try your best to rob as many vaults and cases as possible to reach 100 percent. From here, completing the second quest set lets you upgrade your keycard, unlock the backrooms, and spend Dill Bits on the game's strongest items. Here's a list of some weapons you can obtain:
Although these backrooms have most of the high-value Mythic and Exotic weapons we're looking for, you'll also find additional Mythic-grade items in the Black Markets themselves. Crime City now features a Mythic Pump & Dump weapon, while Seaport City still has a Mythic Falcon Eye Sniper. These all require Dill Bits to buy, so break into a few vaults before going on your shopping trip.
Alongside the Lawless items within black market backrooms, you'll also find weapons like the Rocket Drill, Outlaw Shotgun, and the Pump & Dump through chest drops, floor loot, and player eliminations. These aren't nearly as powerful, but they have their own upsides despite their more common rarities.
All Black Market backroom locations in Fortnite
Fortnite features three Black Market locations near Crime City, Seaport City, and Magic Mosses. Within them, you'll find locked doors that are only accessible using keycards. Here's a list of every black market and their backroom location:

Back in 2018 when Two Point Hospital first came out, I don't think anyone truly expected the developer to spin out a whole franchise. In 2025, though, we have Two Point Campus and Two Point Museum, and the latter, in particular, is an absolute delight.
Make no mistake, I adored both Hospital and Campus in their own ways. Two Point Hospital came about as an honest-to-goodness, albeit goofy, follow-up to the legendary Theme Hospital, and it very well could've stood on its own as a standalone product. Two Point Campus, on the other hand, proved that there was merit in making a franchise out of this Wallace & Gromit-esque schtick. The game had its own set of issues, however, most of which stemmed from the fact that all the actual management was done between semesters, with Campus playing itself when things truly kicked off.
Two Point Museum, however, solves all the problems I had with its predecessors. It doesn't have the automation issues that came about in Campus, and it doesn't suffer from being an essentially solvable game, like Hospital. No, Museum keeps players on their toes for way longer than any other Two Point title, and I'm thrilled to report that Zoey Handley's preview for the game was spot-on in a few key ways.
![]()
There are two fundamental improvements Two Point Studios has delivered upon with Two Point Museum:
The first novelty, in particular, cannot be overstated: whereas you used to be able to wrap up a facility and simply move on to greener pastures in Hospital and Campus, Museum instead specifically tasks you with improving and upgrading old levels over and over again. You might head on over to an afterlife-themed facility later on in the campaign, which leads to a whole bevy of thematic (and goofy!) upgrades. All of them can subsequently be applied to your older museums, which in turn increases their ratings and nets you more currency and even more unlockables.
Levels are no longer "solved" after just one playthrough, which makes them rewarding to replay over and again, each time iterating upon your optimal exhibition layout to a greater extent. This is the ultimate solution to the prior Two Point titles' biggest problem, and makes Museum the kind of game that's hard to put down. There's always something going on, and there's always something you could be iterating on.
![]()
Management games aren't everyone's cup of tea, that's a given. Yet, I can't help but feel that Two Point Museum shows that you don't have to sacrifice accessibility to make a truly compelling game of this kind.
The last couple of months have given us some of the best games we've seen over the past years. Between Avowed, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there's absolutely no shortage of awesome, dynamic, and immersive action games to play for hundreds of hours on end. Yet, I can't help but play Two Point Museum instead. It's so good of an experience that I can't set it down.
Crucially, I hope Two Point Museum is a crucial turning point for the franchise. Two Point Studios has seemingly figured out how to elevate its management gameplay loop beyond issues present in its older titles. I'm not saying it's going to be easy or straightforward to apply a similar approach to whatever the next Two Point game might, but it's a delightful sign of things that are hopefully to come.
That's a different can of worms, however. In the interim, the main takeaway is that Two Point Museum is an absolute joy to play. Between its humor, the lovely visuals, and an inviting gameplay loop, there's really not much else a genre fan could ask for. So go and play it, already!

Endrick is the latest footballer whose signature King Kong celebration has been added to EA FC 25. You can perform it inside different game modes.
The Brazilian is on Real Madrid's books, and he's rated pretty highly among the football community. While his base version in EA FC 25 isn't very powerful, he is a special promo item in Ultimate Team. Let's look at how to perform the newest signature celebration inside the game.
How to celebrate like Endrick in EA FC 25
As of this writing, the King Kong celebration is a signature celebration. In simpler words, signature celebrations are usually restricted to only one footballer. While EA Sports has made a few signature celebrations universal, King Kong is restricted to Endrick.
If you're playing in an offline game mode, you'll have to pick Real Madrid. Then, score a goal with Endrick and press the X/A button after scoring to perform his signature celebration. The same method is also applicable for Ultimate Team. In Ultimate Team, you can perform the celebration with his base item or the Future Stars card.
It's a shame we can't recreate the celebration universally. If you're not sure how the celebration looks, make sure to check out the following tweet, which has a glimpse of the animations.
I believe that the celebration will become universal once Season 6 goes live in Ultimate Team. The new season will begin on March 13, with a fresh track of rewards for all of us to grind. EA Sports took this approach last year after introducing the "Cold" Palmer celebration. If my prediction becomes true, an updated method will be added to the guide.
Typically, the celebration will be added as a seasonal reward. You'll have to unlock it first and then equip it. This will allow any player to perform the King Kong celebration, but it depends now on EA Sports. Unlike Endrick, Cristiano Ronaldo's signature "Siuuu" can be performed by anyone, so make sure to check out our guide to know about the correct controls.

With the success of Bloober Team's remake of Silent Hill 2, it's safe to assume that Konami's long-dormant series is back. As such, many will no doubt be excited for what comes next. With the latest Konami Transmission announced this week, should we even be excited?
The Konami Transmission will provide an opportunity to discuss upcoming projects, in this case, Silent Hill f. While we don't really know a great deal about the game, a recent post on X by director Al Yang says the team is "excited to finally be able to share what we've been cooking."
![]()
As a fan of horror in general, not to mention the classic Silent Hill games, NeoBard Entertainment's take on the iconic series is definitely something to keep an eye on. Given that the developer is typically known for ports, it will be interesting to see how the team copes with a full game from a beloved franchise. So how excited should we be?
The "f" stands for "fhorror"
As already mentioned, the remake of Silent Hill 2 went down a storm. Currently, it has a rating on Steam of "very positive" for recent reviews and "overwhelmingly positive" overall. In short: it's a far cry from my initial assumption that Bloober Team may have bitten off more than it could chew. Consider my hat well and truly eaten.
But since the revival of the series, the games that have been released have been pretty lackluster, to put it as mildly as possible. Silent Hill: The Short Message, which released in January 2024 and feels almost like it slipped under the net, has a Metacritic score of 53. Meanwhile, Ascension, the interactive experience co-produced by Bad Robots and released in October 2023, has a user score of 0.7, aka "overwhelming dislike."
Really, the only good Silent Hill game we've had recently was a remake developed by a studio very well known for horror (despite criticisms). Given this, it's hard to know what Silent Hill f will be like, especially seeing as it's being made by a developer that seems to be stepping out of its comfort zone. Look, as we've already seen, I've been wrong about things like this in the past, so I guess we'll just have to wait for the Konami Transmission, which will go ahead on March 13 at 3pm PDT.

The Deep Woods is a whole new area added to Fields of Mistria in the second major update. It's been trapped behind a wall of thorns since the game released into early access in August 2024, but now it's finally open for players to explore.
If you've ever wondered what's beyond the thorn-covered stairs in the north of The Eastern Road, then wonder no more. With features added in the update, it's possible to break through the thorns and get to the Deep Woods.
Where to find the Deep Woods in Fields of Mistria
![]()
If you head to The Eastern Road, where the Wishing Well and the Carpenter's Shop are, and then head as far north as you can get, you'll come across a wall of thorns blocking off some stairs. This is the entrance to the Deep Woods.
If you've not yet reached floor 60 of the Mines and broken the Fire Seal, you won't be able to get past these thorns, so head there first and then come back once you've reached the Lava Caves.
How to get into the Deep Woods in Fields of Mistria
![]()
Before you can get into the Deep Woods, you'll need to get deep into the Mines. Once you hit floor sixty, having already broken through the Water Seal and the Earth Seal, you'll be confronted with the Fire Seal. Unlocking this door is not as straightforward as the previous two, but once you've done it, you'll meet Caldarus in his human form for the first time.
After saving you from the nightmare of the Sealing Scroll at the Fire Seal, Caldarus will tell you he's heading off to the Deep Woods to rest at his Shrine. Using the spell he bestowed upon you after unlocking the Fire Seal, Dragon's Breath, you can head to the thorn wall and burn it down easily, gaining access to the Deep Woods.
What's in the Deep Woods in Fields of Mistria?
![]()
The main draw of the Deep Woods is Caldarus' Shrine in the northeast, but there are other things to be found in the new area.
To the northwest of the entrance to the Deep Woods, you'll find some large pine trees with grave markers in them. Most are too high to read, but the front two are within reach. The left two are for Olric and March's parents, Jade and Olin. The one on the right tree is for Greta, who once resided on Sweetwater Farm.
![]()
There is also a small pile of moss-covered stones on a rock in the bottom corner of the tree area. If you interact with these stones, you'll learn that they were put there "a long time ago," but no further information is given.
Outside of these two attractions and Caldarus' Shrine to the northeast, you'll also be able to find a selection of new Forageables, Fish, and Artifacts. Most of them can be handed in at the Museum as part of the new sets, so you want to keep an eye out for anything new.
There's only one Fishing spot in the Deep Woods, the pond in the center of the map, so all the new Fish can be found there. You're also able to catch fish that were previously available in other areas, as well, so you may be fishing for a while.

With the second major update to Fields of Mistria, lots of new features and items have been added to the hit cozy game from NPC Studios. One of the most exciting additions is the 20 new floors to the Mines, filled with new monsters, forageables, and resources.
However, before you can access these new floors, you'll need to break through the Fire Seal. If you've got to this point, you will have already broken through the Earth Seal and the Water Seal, so you'll know a bit about what to expect, but things have gone up a notch and become quite complicated for this newly added Seal.
It makes sense because breaking through the Fire Seal is what unlocks a whole bunch of new content and features, including the Deep Woods and Sprite Statues. Spoilers ahead.
How to break the Fire Seal in Fields of Mistria
![]()
As you progress through the Mines, you'll encounter a new Seal every 20 floors. The Fire Seal is down on floor 60, and as with previous Seals, you'll need to offer up some items found on the previous 20 floors before you can get through it. Unlike previous seals, which required four items, this one only needs three. For the fourth, you'll need to work with Balor.
The easy part of this is getting the items from Deep Earth:
How to get a Sealing Scroll
![]()
The fourth and final item you'll need to get through the Fire Seal is slightly more complicated to procure. According to Juniper, it's a dangerous item and hard to come by. Of course, we all know somebody who is skilled at getting items of that nature. It's time to put Balor to good use.
After you take the rubbing to Juniper, she will automatically take you to Balor at the Inn. He'll tell you that it won't come cheap, and you'll need to give him a few days to source the Sealing Scroll.
After two in-game days, you'll get mail from Balor telling you to meet him at the Inn. This time, he'll tell you the cost, and he wants more than Tesserae. To get the Sealing Scroll, you'll need to place the following items in the Donation Box placed beside Balor's Wagon:
Once you've done that, you can talk to Balor again to complete the quest and he will deliver the Sealing Scroll to you the following day. You can then take the necessary items to the Fire Seal and place them on their designated pedestals.
![]()
However, this is not a straightforward task. Once you've placed the items onto their respective pedestals, the Sealing Scroll will float and the Priestess will warn you to flee. You won't get far before the Sealing Scroll traps you within a circle and saps you of health and stamina.
You will have the option to call out for help, and Caldarus will come to your rescue, giving you a new spell — Dragon's Breath. Sadly, you're too far gone to use the spell yourself, but Caldarus will shift into his human-ish form to save the day.

As part of the second major update to Fields of Mistria, two new items were added that are incredibly useful around the farm — Water Sprite and Animal Sprite Statues. Unfortunately, you'll need a new type of resource called Essence Stones if you want to run them.
Essence Stones are a type of stone made using a combination of Stone and Essence, perhaps unsurprisingly. Before you can combine the two, you'll need to build the Stone Refinery.
How to build the Stone Refinery in Fields of Mistria
![]()
Once you hit town rank 55, you'll receive a letter in the mail from Adeline, asking you to meet her at the Mines. It turns out that with Mistria doing so well, the town can have its very own Stone Refinery. As with all other town upgrades, it's down to us to provide both the resources and the funds for this project.
To build the Stone Refinery, you'll need to put the following resources into the Donation Box by the entrance to the Mines:
When you've supplied all of the resources, you can head back to Adeline and talk to her to hand over 5,000 Tesserae. You'll meet back up with her, Olric, and Errol at the Mines to construct the Stone Refinery to the right of the elevator.
How to get Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria
![]()
There are two ways to get Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria — you might get lucky and find them while toiling away in the Mines (this seems more likely at lower levels), or you can create them at the Stone Refinery using Stone and Essence.
There are four different sizes of Essence Stones, each needing a different amount of both Stone and Essence to create:
How to use Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria
![]()
Essence Stones are used to power both Water Sprite and Animal Sprite Statues. For those more familiar with Stardew Valley, these are identical to both the Auto-Petter and the Sprinkler respectively.
For these items to work, you'll need to place an Essence Stone into them. Each different size of Essence Stone is capable of powering a Statue for a different amount of time:
If you're running low on Essence and happen to find an Essence Stone in the Mines, you can also consume it to gain some Essence. Each Essence Stone will give you the same amount of Essence as they take to make.

Let's face it, there's always too much to do and not enough time in any cozy game, and Fields of Mistria has always been a victim of this curse. Tending crops and caring for animals always eats into the days, but now there's an option to make the days longer.
As part of the second major update on March 10, players now have a new accessibility option to make time pass more slowly, allowing you to get more done each day. It's an incredibly useful feature, not to mention a highly requested one, so it's nice to know that NPC Studios is listening to player feedback and implementing these features into the cozy hit.
How to change time speed in Fields of Mistria
![]()
Changing the length of a day in Fields of Mistria is easy. All you need to do is head into the settings from the main menu or journal, head to the Accessibility tab, and then select "Day Time Speed" at the top. After a brief warning (more on that in a moment), you'll have the option to change the length of the day between the following:
According to the pop-up warning that appears every time you try to change this setting, NPCs within Fields of Mistria are optimized for the Standard day length, and you may face issues with certain events if you change the length of the day. However, I have played a full in-game week on both Longer and Longest, and I've faced zero issues on either day length.
![]()
That's not to say that issues won't occur outside of the two weeks I experimented with, but it is at least a little reassuring, I hope.
You'll only feel the effects of changing this setting once you start a new day. The slower time begins from the moment you wake up. If you want to change the setting again, you'll need to sleep before it comes into effect.
How long is a day in Fields of Mistria?
![]()
As part of my experimentation with time, I allowed a full day to pass without doing anything while I had a stopwatch running to test how long each option makes a day. I realize that I could have timed 10 seconds and then worked it out from there, but I've never been very good at math.
Either way. the difference isn't huge. Here's how long each day length lasts in Fields of Mistria:
Like I said, you're not suddenly going to get hours of gameplay each day, but those extra couple of minutes make a difference if you're trying to sneak in one last fishing trip or toiling away down in the Mines after breaking through the Fire Seal.
For the Stardew Valley veterans out there, in which a day lasts approximately 14 minutes between waking up and passing out, choosing the Longer option will put the length of each day on an equal footing in Fields of Mistria.

How GTA 6 will eventually look on our consoles (and PC) is still a matter of great intrigue, but a clip made in Fortnite is trying to show us a glimpse of the possible future.
In a clip uploaded by YouTuber Brux, we managed to get an extremely GTA-fashioned action scene made using Fortnite's in-game engine. It's a known fact that Epic allows many tools for modders to create their own maps, and some of them are extremely popular.
While the creation shown in the clip might not be functional, it couldn't have appeared at a better time as we await the next chapter of GTA.
Viral GTA 6 clip shows the real potential of Fortnite's engine
Many social media users were left confused when this short clip from Blux surfaced online. It wouldn't be the first time that GTA 6's clips have surfaced online (who can forget the infamous leaks), but this one comes to us thanks to Fortnite. According to the creator, it took them nine months to create.
In the clip, we can see a female character hijacking a car before being chased by the police. As a shootout ensues, it becomes quite clear that the footage is definitely from Fortnite. We have the classic instance of the blue shield being chipped away as the officer got shot and glimpses of the game's building creation.
Despite some accounts on X spreading false rumors about it, the creator has made clear how the clip was made on the 2018 engine and how long it took.
I won't rule out seeing more clips until we get a confirmation from Rockstar about when GTA 6 will go live. Based on the current information, the game is expected to be released in 2025 and will be available on current-gen consoles. A PC release or its potential timeline has yet to be announced, as the gaming community eagerly waits for Rockstar's next major showcase.

Nihom Falcom remake Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter has gained an excellent English voice cast as announced on Tuesday. It includes the likes of Matt Mercer (Overwatch, Critical Role), Cristina Vee (Hunter x Hunter), and Stephanie Sheh (Your Name), among others.
Your Name star is in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter voice cast
The publisher of the JRPG reimagining GungHo Online Entertainment published a trailer for Trails in the Sky 1st revealing both the Japanese and English voice actors. This seemingly confirms dual-audio support. The full cast so far includes the following:
Stephanie Sheh is a long-time voice actor, who has worked on the award-winning Your Name, in addition to Sonic x Shadow Generations, and the Sailor Moon series. Johnny Yong Bosch, who plays the protagonist's brother, was once a Power Ranger but has since transitioned to voice acting in the likes of Demon Slayer, Devil May Cry 5, and the Dragon Ball series.
Cristina Vee and Matthew Mercer are also standout members of the English voice cast for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Vee has performed as Killua in the magnificent Hunter x Hunter series, in addition to the adorable Tulin from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Mercer, meanwhile, has entertained many with his voices for Leon Kennedy in the Resident Evil series, Overwatch's Cassidy, and Like a Dragon's Goro Majima.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is a full reimagining of the first tale with new visuals and now voice acting. It tells the tale of Estelle and Joshua Bright, who are trying to get higher up on the totem pole in the peacemaking guild. However, they take more than they can handle with one mission, which spirals out of control. Interestingly, once you're out battling threats in this RPG, you can choose between turn-based and real-time action combat to suit your tastes.
Whatever your gameplay style, you'll be able to pick up Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter sometime this fall for PS5, Switch, and PC (via Steam).

I like Forza in general and Forza Motorsport specifically, though I definitely understand why some franchise veterans might not be quite as thrilled about the content-and-feature-slim offering. The new Update 18, titled Velocity, continues a mildly disappointing streak of post-launch releases, which doesn't help its case.
More specifically, I do have to point out that Turn 10 has turned things around ever since Forza Motorsport came out in a sorry state back in October 2023. Heck, the team is even looking at ways to reimplement previously sunset FOMO content, which is a nice touch (albeit slow). To say nothing of the frankly transformative ray-tracing update we received late in 2024. Yeah, it was an eventful 2024 for Motorsport, for sure, but that zippy tempo has now been replaced with a series of more dreary and cynical vehicle roster updates. Sadly, Update 18 is precisely just that: more of the same.
![]()
The next Forza Motorsport track is coming in May, but the Porsche update is on the horizon
Forza Motorsport's Update 18 continues the established tempo of Update 17 but with a greater focus on racing vehicles in particular. Whereas Update 17 was all about those snazzy little daily drivers from Hyundai and the like, Update 18 kicks off the aptly named Velocity Month featuring extremely fast race-cars and production-tier supercars:
It's a stellar list of cars, I'll admit. It's just that there's not much else to fiddle around with in Update 18, other than to complete all the new events as they roll out. Turn 10 has delivered notable audio improvements to the 1998 and 2020 versions of the Toyota Supra (RZ and GR models, respectively), as well as pushing out revised car audio for the 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, as per community feedback.
Multiplayer matchmaking should be better now, too, and "Short" races should last 10 minutes in Featured Multiplayer modes, which is a two-minute increase compared to the old values. Nothing huge, really.
The big "problem" with these updates, as it were, is that there's no new track or major new content drop to go alongside the usual array of fixes and car roster updates. We know for a fact that the next new race track won't release until May, for example, which should be Update 20 by my count. In the interim, with Update 18 now actively roaming about, we're still going to receive one full content drop (Update 19: Porsche Motorsport) without anything else to go alongside the new cars.
Don't get me wrong: new content is always good news in Forza Motorsport, but the track roster should've been substantially larger on day one, and not receiving new maps on a regular basis doesn't spark much hope for what's to come. Again, we'll have to wait until Update 20 to see what Turn 10's long-term plan for the game is. Let's hope it's a tad more concrete than what we've been getting as of late.

One thing we love about Roblox is seeing devs take already existing games and making Roblox versions of them with all the bells and whistles. Subterra takes everything great about the Steam World Dig series and turns it into a fun Roblox experience. Since the game is still in its beta phase, you know things are only going to get better, and there's no better way to stay informed than following the official Subterra Trello and Discord.
Subterra Relevant Links
The Subterra developer, Polywork Studio, is hard at work in turning the game into something special. To stay up to date with the development, you can use the following links:
To kick things off, the Discord server is pretty active, as you'd expect from a brand new Roblox game. Many players are sharing tips and tricks on how to progress, as well as complaining about the game and talking about things they wish could be added to the game.
The community group has around 1,300 members and is a bit less active than Discord but still has plenty of players voicing their suggestions and complaints about the game.
