A new feature has just appeared in a preview version of the latest Nvidia GeForce driver, which is the ability to enable frame gen even in games that don't support DLSS. Much like AMD Fluid Motion Frames, the new Smooth Motion feature basically enables frame gen at the driver level, rather than being implemented natively through DLSS. As such, the quality isn't going to be as good as full DLSS frame gen, and it's not supported by every game either, but it does open up the field.

What's more, you won't need to buy the best GPU you can afford on our buying guide to run it, as it works fine on older Nvidia GPUs as well. I've just given it a try on my RTX 4090 running Civilization VI, for example, which has no native support for DLSS frame gen, and it did indeed nearly double the frame rate.

If Half-Life is one of the most influential videogame series in history, it's not only because of Valve, Gordon Freeman, and the actual FPS games themselves. Half-Life and Half-Life 2 are nexus points for a whole generation of PC classics. Counter-Strike began as a Half-Life mod, as did Day of Defeat, and The Hidden. The first Team Fortress was bundled as a Half-Life spinoff. The same Source engine that brings to life City 17 and Ravenholm is also the backbone of Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Originally released in 2007, Zombie Panic Source is another of Half-Life's informal descendants. A spiritual precursor to today's asymmetrical, multiplayer horror games and a staple of mid to late '00s modding, alongside CSGO and Left 4 Dead, Zombie Panic Source is now somehow having a resurgence on Steam.

My biggest problem with Elden Ring Nightreign stems from its map. Even though the layout changes with each run, there isn't enough randomization to keep me coming back. AMD has reportedly set a highly ambitious internal goal to push its next-gen gaming CPU range beyond the 7GHz clock speed barrier. According to the latest word from the rumor mill, the forthcoming Zen 6 architecture that will underpin the next generation of AMD Ryzen CPUs is potentially capable of hitting huge clock speeds that go well beyond anything we've seen before.

This isn't the first time we've seen reports that AMD Zen 6 clock speeds are likely to be massive, or even the 7GHz AMD Zen 6 figure, but we're apparently not just talking about AMD hitting 7GHz anymore, but instead "actually targeting above 7GHz." Think of a stealth game, and an image of its protagonist quickly takes shape; they're surrounded by tremendous danger, equipped with a limited arsenal, and have to stay crouched in the shadows to avoid death. Such trappings go back to the original '87 Metal Gear, since they're so effective at conjuring the heady thrills of overcoming unlikely odds. In these games, you're pilfering valuables and side-stepping carefully laid traps. You're sniping at enemies with scant ammo. Armchair History Interactive would like to you know that their upcoming strategy game Master Of Command is full of smart, unforgiving systems. I know that because they emailed RPS saying that our "strategy features often spotlight smart, unforgiving systems".

I imagine several other outlets also received this exact email but this didn't stop me thinking "you know what - they're right! I am strategy-clever and tactics-tough! And what better way to show that than by covering this game, completely of my own volition and with no outside influence from cleverly worded PR emails playing on my sense of strategy-knower's pride. That'll show those fatcats down at the community historical strategy club treasury committee. Who's "making too many explosiony noises during this serious reenactment of the Somme" now, eh?

But there's another, calm and casual sense in which you can say something is fine. Like when a friend handing you some tea apologises because they "only have semi-skimmed milk". S'fine. Guilty Gear Strive Giovanna Figure Includes Rei

This figure is based on Arc System Works' official art for Giovanna and Rei from Guilty Gear Strive. As such, we can clearly see her and the wolf spirit coming up from behind her to pose near her face and upper body. On her belt and boots, the company also recreated text from her costume. So the "Latona" branding is on her belt and the soles of her shoes, and she still has her Secret Service special agent badge on her right hip. It stands at 13 inches tall (330mm).

Here's how the figure looks when compared to the official art.

And here are the first photos of the figure from different angles.

The Guilty Gear Strive Giovanna figure will launch in Japan in December 2025. Pre-orders are open until August 22, 2025. The game can be found on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It's also in arcades. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

Apex-Toys confirmed its next Genshin Impact figure will be of Shenhe with her Calamity Queller polearm, and first photos appeared.

Apex-Toys announced it is about to start taking orders for its next Genshin Impact figure, and this time it will be of Shenhe wielding the Calamity Queller polearm. That is a Cryo character who has been part of the game for three years and her signature weapon. There's no exact release date or price yet, but pre-orders will open soon and ship worldwide.

The initial photos of the Genshin Impact figure focus more on the character than the weapon. Shenhe is wearing her standard outfit. It's designed to make it look like the wind is blowing, with her hair and braid caught up. Part of her face is covered by her bangs as a result. She's holding Calamity Queller is in her right hand. As a reminder of the fact that she lives with the adepti in the mountains of Liyue, her stand shows the mountains on the base.

Here are the first photos of her:

Shenhe is one of those Genshin Impact characters who doesn't show up on banners or as a figure very often. She first appeared in 2.4 on a January 2022 banner. She then didn't return until the 3.5 update, as the first rerun launched in March 2023. However, we did finally see her return again in 5.7 in June 2025. Since that rerun ended on July 8, 2025, it will likely be a while before the Cryo heroine and her Calamity Queller polearm returns.

This is one of multiple Apex-Toys HoYoVerse figures to show up in July 2025. Previously, the company confirmed it would open orders for a Zenless Zone Zero one. That will be its latest take on the Victoria Housekeeping character Ellen Joe.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and Apex-Toys will open pre-orders for the new Shenhe figure soon.

First Dragon Ball Store Will Sell Exclusive Merchandise

Shueisha announced that the first every Dragon Ball Store, which will sell exclusive merchandise based on the anime and manga, will  open in Japan. The official site confirmed it will appear in Tokyo. It didn't list an exact location yet for the retailer. It did note that it is expected to be open for business in Fall 2025.

The announcement didn't include any examples of the merchandise or location when bringing up the Dragon Ball Store. It is unknown if it will be a full, standalone location or function more like a pop-up in a department store like Parco. The announcement did confirm that this is part of a 40th anniversary series of celebrations. As such, it will also involve some limited edition items that won't be available anywhere other than this specific retailer.

Most recently, the Dragon Ball Daima anime ran. It streamed on Crunchyroll. After its launch, the series ended up being implemented into and made cameos in multiple games. Characters and variants of existing ones from it showed up in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero DLC. It showed up in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 earlier in 2025. Its next stop is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as a two-part add-on will add characters, locations, and quests based on it in July 2025.

The Dragon Ball Store should open in Fall 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, if all goes according to plan. Viz Media handled the release of the manga in English in the US. Many of the anime adaptations are streaming on Crunchyroll

Atelier Yumia Will Head to Azur Lane in New Crossover

Yostar announced on both the English and Japanese Azur Lane social media accounts that an Atelier Yumia crossover is on the way. There is no release window for the event. However, every account did confirm that there will be updates on this collaboration soon.

This crossover notice only appeared on the Yostar accounts. The Koei Tecmo ones didn't mention it. This suggests the Atelier Yumia crossover will only be limited to the game Azur Lane. This happened when Atelier Ryza appeared in the gacha game in 2022 too.

Thinking back to that event does offer hints as to what we can expect from this upcoming Atelier Yumia crossover. Six characters from the Atelier Ryza trilogy appeared as ships when that happened. In addition to Reisalin "Ryza" Stout, Kala Ideas, Klaudia Valentz, Lila Decyrus, Patricia Abelheim, and Serri Glaus.

The Atelier Yumia event is one of many collaborations with other titles to show up in the game. For example, Azur Lane hosted characters from DOA Venus Vacation, The Idolmaster, and Senran Kagura

As for Atelier Yumia, the two major crossover events for it previously involved Tales of Graces f Remastered and Tekken 8. Yumia ended up with costumes because of both of those.

Azur Lane is on mobile devices. Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land is on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

DBC Hatsune Miku car featuring Daihatsu Move Canbus

Crypton Future Media has revealed the visual art for a new Hatsune Miku crossover featuring a Daihatsu Move Canbus. This is part of a new collaboration with Daihatsu, which has been in the works since 2024.

This car will be formally known as Canbus Hatsune Miku Edition or Miku Canbus 2. The companies will base the car on the second-generation model, which Daihatsu launched in 2022.

In the new Piapro post, Crypton noted that it utilized the results of the Picnic-themed outfit design contest it held in Fall 2024 to produce this new art. Pentagon's design won the contest, and necömi drew the official illustration based on it.

This will be the fifth official entry in the long-running collaboration between Hatsune Miku and Daihatsu, which launched with the Snow Miku Mira Cocoa in 2014. The subsequent formal entries featured the Cast Activa in 2016, the original Canbus in 2018, and the Taft in 2021.

Crypton has also been working with many other companies to produce more Hatsune Miku collaboration products. Some of the examples include Good Smile Company's Snow Miku figure with the Sanrio character Kuromi and Megahouse's Miku figure with the Gundam franchise mascot Haro.

Crypton Future Media will publish more information about the Daihatsu Move Canbus Hatsune Miku Edition at a later time. It will also produce and sell merchandise featuring the new visual art.

Review: Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition Is a Switch 2 Stunner

When Cyberpunk 2077 first launched in December 2020, it felt more like an early access beta instead of a full game. In case you'd forgotten, it even ended up pulled from the PlayStation Store and was only restored a year later. Years later, CD Projekt Red remedied issues and released an expansion, turning it around and into a title you'd want to play. Now Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition reemerged as a Switch 2 launch title and, like a phoenix, soared to new heights to become one of the most impressive games on the system.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition begins with each player customizing their protagonist's appearance and background. It's a first-person action-RPG with a sprawling open world and wide array of tackling opportunities. This starts by picking how your story even starts. I recommend going with a corporate background if you really want a revenge story, since you're going from a rising Arasaka star to someone betrayed and able to get revenge. Streetkid is a close second, as you're building yourself up and fighting back against the capitalistic society that held you back, and it has some really great opportunities to rise up. With Nomad, you're coming from losing everything, your whole family, to potentially building a new life and family in Night City.

The story hasn't changed, though it has grown with the Phantom Liberty addition and 2.0 additions. It remains an opportunity to explore individuality, capitalism, agency over our bodies, the role and dangers of technology, and an array of political themes. The expansion's inclusion expands on these types of topics. This is my first time experiencing the additional storyline and, while I appreciated some of the twists and options in the base game, I felt like some elements were a little better executed. Some of the plot points might not hit for everyone, and there were some times I felt side quests could be a little more interesting than the main adventure. But there's so much to do that you will probably find enjoyment following one of the plots or by just taking in Night City and creating your own fun as you explore.

Likewise, the gameplay remains the same, though at this point in Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition's lifespan, it's perfect and practically bug-free on the Switch 2. It's a seamless, perfect experience that works wonderfully. This is a first-person game, with combat involving bullets and physical attacks. It is possible to also talk things out, hack, or use tech to overcome some challenges. You can also go with a pacifist run that doesn't involve actually killing anyone. Your intelligence, technical ability, and cool (charm) can influence options available to you, and it is possible t handle situations in different ways. It's satisfying to try new things or roleplay in ways that suit your chosen background.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRswiS_NvgA

What's really impressive here is not just the progression that showed CD Projekt Red turning the game from a mess years ago to a prime example of an exemplary experience, but how fantastic Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is on the Switch 2. To start, it runs flawlessly. I primarily played with it docked mode, but I didn't experience any lag or performance issues regardless of the mode I'd choose. It runs phenomenally well.

It also looks incredible on the system. We can choose between Quality and Performance modes. The latter is honestly one of the reasons why I focused on docked gameplay sessions for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on the Switch 2. It runs at 40fps, which feels like a notable difference, and also can hit 1080p. I do prefer Quality for handheld sessions and recommend that, since I didn't mind dropping to 30fps to ensure it is at about 810p. The visual different is more notable there, and the sacrifice is worth it. Textures display wonderfully, reflections honestly were better than I expected, and it is just generally great. It will eat up the battery though, so docked does mean longer sessions.

It also means you can test out the Switch 2 motion controls and, honestly, they're worth at least trying in Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition. There's a shocking amount of care put into them, so much so that I would swap to them for a change of pace sometimes. The accuracy is fantastic, with the options also allowing you to further pin down the precision. I honestly prefer the dodging method with it, since it's a flick of the wrist, and in a more frantic fight I appreciated being able to roll my right wrist to reload or pull my left back to use an item.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is also one of the best examples of well-implemented mouse controls on the Switch 2. You can use it for your aiming and shooting. I did prefer standard controls most of the time, but again in a gunfight I really liked being able to have that improved precision that allowed for faster reflexes. It's so well handled that I felt like I didn't need to do any additional tweaking in the options after heading to Mouse Patterns in the settings. It really just worked incredibly well from the start.

Given everything that happened with Cyberpunk 2077 at the start of its life, the fact that the Ultimate Edition is here, is exemplary, and works wonderfully on the Switch 2 is something of a miracle. But it is. The base game is great. The expansion is entertaining. It looks fantastic on the system both docked and undocked. It runs flawlessly. The mouse controls help showcase why that feature is such a wise option for the Switch 2 as a console. It even makes motion controls feel fun and worthwhile. It's absolutely wonderful and worth playing on the Switch 2.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is available for the Nintendo Switch 2, and the game previously appeared on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Donyell Malen as one of the best cards to use in EA FC 25 Choose Your Own Adventure Evolution

More evolutions have arrived in EA FC 25 for us to complete. To be more specific, we have three Choose Your Own Adventure Evolutions that we can now complete in Ultimate Team.

This set of evolutions has three separate upgrades, all available at different price points. Incidentally, the three evolutions aren't actually connected. Instead, they're all standalone evolutions you can use to upgrade an RW or RM item of your choice (or three if you want).

How do Choose Your Own Adventure Evolutions work in EA FC 25?

The Choose Your Own Adventure Evolutions are numbered as one, two, and three. The first one costs 50,000 coins to unlock. The second one costs 100,000 coins, while the third one is free. All three evolutions have the exact same requirements.

  • Overall: Max. 95
  • Position: RW, RM
  • Max PS: 10
  • Max PS+: 4

The upgrades on offer are also identical.

  • OVR: +3
  • PAC: +8
  • SHOT: +8
  • DRIBBLE: +8
  • PlayStyle+: Quick Step, Finesse Shot

This will make the free version the best one, but there's a catch.

  • If you spend 100,000 coins, you'll need to play just one game to complete the evolution.
  • If you spend 50,000 coins, you'll need to play ten games to complete the evolution.
  • If you opt for the free version, you'll need to play twenty games to complete the evolution.

Yes, you can do the evolution three times to upgrade three cards. Doing so will cost you 150,000 coins, or equivalent FC Points for the two paid options.

Best players to use in the Choose Your Own Adventure Evolutions

Here are some of the best cards you can potentially use in the EA FC 25 Choose Your Own Adventure Evolutions.

  • Jack Grealish Shapeshifters
  • Donyell Malen Fantasy FC
  • Angel Di Maria TOTS Highlights
  • Riyad Mahrez TOTS Honorable Mentions
  • Wilfried Zaha Flashback
  • Alexis Sanchez Shapeshifters
  • Leonardo Spinazzola Flashback
  • Jayden Bogle Shapeshifters

You can also use an evo chain from your club if they can meet the requirements.

Standing with Hades and Maleficent by a fire in disney dreamlight valley

With the feud between Hades and Maleficent back on, things are getting pretty messy around the village in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These two have no regard for others getting caught in the middle, so it's up to you to save the other villagers during the Collateral Damage quest.

It's not the first time you've tried to get these two to get along, and it probably won't be the last, but it's a crucial step in the process nonetheless. Here's how to complete Collateral Damage in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete Collateral Damage in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete the Collateral Damage quest, you need to rescue Remy from the chaos caused by Hades and Maleficent, scheme up ways to get them to interact, and try to help them talk things out. It's a tough situation with many important tasks to get done, so here's a full breakdown of everything you need to do.

Open your mailbox and read the mail from Remy

This quest starts in a bit of a different way, so head straight to your mailbox to get it going. Open the letter from Remy inside to learn that Maleficent and Hades' feud has started a fire in his home. After reading this note, head over to his house, wherever you have it placed around the main valley or one of the DLC worlds.

Extinguish the blue and green flames to rescue Remy

Once you're inside Remy's house, equip your Royal Watering Can. Next, use it to extinguish six blue and green flames to save Remy and his home from ruin. Have a chat with him once you're done.

Talk to the Lorekeeper

You're not really sure about what to do to stop the fighting, so head to the Lorekeeper to seek advice. You can find them right in the center of The Library of Lore area. The Lorekeeper suggests tricking them into thinking they gave each other presents to get them to chat, so your next task is to get the items you need to do so.

Gather what you need to prepare gifts for Hades and Maleficent

There are two items you need to acquire to progress. For Hades, you need to find Cereberus's Chew Toy. For Maleficent, you need to get some Feather Balm. The process for obtaining each of these items is unique.

Fish Cereberus's Chew Toy out of a pond in Mount Olympus

Hades' gift is the easier of the two to get since you just need to head over to the Mount Olympus biome in Mythopia to fish it out of a pond. Although the hint mentions a pond, you can actually find this item in a gold ripple spot along the river between Mount Olympus and The Statue's Shadow. There may be a few golden spots in this area, so fish all of them until you find Cereberus's Chew Toy.

Gather ingredients for some Feather Balm

Your next task is to gather the ingredients you need to make the Feather Balm for Maleficent. There are five resources you need to track down from around the Vale.

Ingredient How to get
Olive Grows on Olive Trees around the Mythopia biome. These trees can be picked up and moved elsewhere, but there are initially two in each region for a total of eight trees.
Extra Salty Salt Crystal It was previously given to you by the Lorekeeper earlier in this quest.
Green Beans Can be grown using Green Bean Seeds. You can purchase these seeds for 250 Star Coins from Goofy's Stall in Everafter.
Cape Gooseberry Grows in the wild on the ground throughout The Bind biome.
Trumpet Snail Grows in the wild on the ground throughout The Bind biome.

Cook up some Feather Balm for Maleficent's raven

With all five ingredients gathered, head to any cooking station around the valley. Toss them into the pot to make the Feather Balm you're going to eventually give Maleficent as a "present" from Hades.

Bring Cereberus's Chew Toy from "Maleficent" to Hades

Track down Hades and give him Cereberus's Chew Toy. Trick him into thinking she wants to apologize and end the feud, then ask him to meet up at your house afterward.

Bring the Feather Balm from "Hades" to Maleficent

Find Maleficent next to give her the Feather Balm. Trick her the same way you did Hades, then head to your main house in the valley to meet up with both of them at the same time.

Talk to Maleficent and Hades

Once you're inside your home, interact with Maleficent to initiate the conversation between the two. Unfortunately, your scheme doesn't work as they both refuse to be the first one to apologize. Exit your home after the plan fails to continue to the next step.

Ask Merida for advice on getting Hades and Maleficent to speak to each other

Since you're not sure what to do next, you decide to try seeking assistance from another character who knows them well. Track down Merida around the village to chat with her about the problem and see if she has any guidance. She suggests starting with something they have in common, so you decide to focus on fire.

Gather resources to craft a Bonfire Pit

A bonfire might be just the activity to bring the two villains together, so you now need to get to work gathering everything you need to make one. There are four resources required to make a Bonfire Pit.

Material Quantity How to get
Gold Ingot Three Can be crafted using five Gold Nuggets and one Coal Ore.
Marble 10 Can be mined from around Mythopia.
Stone 50 Can be obtained by mining rock nodes in any biome.
Coal 15 Can be obtained by mining rock nodes in all biomes.

Craft a Bonfire Pit

With the items you need now gathered, head to any crafting station around the valley to craft a Bonfire Pit. At the crafting station, switch to the Furniture category to find the item you want to make.

Go into Maleficent's castle to show her the Bonfire Pit

Head to Maleficent's castle to show her what you made. You can find the bridge leading up to her castle near the northern end of the Beanstalk Marshes biome in Everafter. Upon entering her castle, you'll find that Hades is already there, and the two of them seem to be scheming. Listen in on their conversation, then chat with them about it after.

Place the Bonfire Pit in the Bind

Exit the castle and head to The Bind biome. Enter Furniture mode and place the Bonfire Pit you made anywhere around this area. A short cutscene will then play as Hades and Maleficent appear around it. Once it's done, head to the Lorekeeper to discuss what happened and officially finish the Collateral Damage quest.

The first full gameplay reveal for EA FC 26 is coming soon, and the community can catch all the action live and for free.

EA Sports confirmed the cover star for this year's Ultimate Edition earlier on July 14. Swedish Icon Zlatan Ibrahomic will take to the cover, but we already knew that. What we still don't know is how the gameplay will look, the exact release date, and more.

To get confirmed information about all those features, our best bet is the upcoming gameplay reveal.

EA FC 26 Official Reveal Trailer countdown

Like all game showcases, the reveal will happen simultaneously across all regions on the planet. While you can catch all the action later if you can't make it live, the following countdown will help you keep track. Once the trailer goes live, the countdown will expire.

[hurrytimer id="1090941"]

  • 10:57am CST
  • 11:57am PST
  • 3:57pm UTC
  • 4:57pm BST

The reveal timings are based on the official reveal livestream that is available to all for free.

How to watch the EA FC 26 Reveal Trailer?

The easiest way to watch the maiden trailer is on YouTube. You can use this link to go to EA FC's official stream and set a reminder. To do that, you'll have to log in to your YouTube account. After that, you'll get a reminder when the trailer goes live later on July 16.

We have confirmation that Zlatan will be on the cover for the Ultimate Edition, but we don't know who will be on the cover for the Standard Edition. More importantly, there are plenty of leaks and rumors about new leagues, Heroes, Icons, and more. We should also get confirmation regarding the release date and when the pre-orders begin.

Destiny 2 Edge of Fate key art

Destiny 2's new era begins in 2025 with the Year of Prophecy, which begins the Fate Saga of the franchise after the Light and Darkness Saga ended with The Final Shape expansion.

As part of Year of Prophecy, two main expansions will launch, called The Edge of Fate and Renegades. With the first one just around the corner, we know a bit about what to expect, including a new destination called Kepler, a new raid shortly after launch, and an all-new story that pushes the world's lore in new directions.

Basically, Destiny 2 isn't going anywhere any time soon, especially with two more expansions confirmed for 2026, called Shattered Cycle and The Alchemist. While the Light and Darkness Saga has ended, it seems as though the world of the Destiny franchise may just be getting started.

For now, though, here's what we know about when you can get your hands on D2's next big DLCs.

There are several key dates to keep in mind when it comes to Destiny 2 in 2025, with even more dates to be revealed. But here are some big ones for you to mark on your calendar for this year.

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate countdown

The newest expansion for Destiny 2, The Edge of Fate, is due to launch on July 15, 2025. Server downtime for the new expansion will begin around 7:45am CT, and after a few hours, the game and DLC will be accessible once again starting at around 12pm CT on that day.

Here's a countdown that ends exactly on July 15 at 12pm CT:

[hurrytimer id="1064693"]

The Edge of Fate seems to deal with time travel, including relics of the past and a mysterious new character named Lodai. Guardians must head to the edge of the Sol system to find Kepler, the new location, and unravel the mysteries within.

The new expansion will add new story missions, new locations to visit, new missions, new weapons and gear, a new Fallen enemy that can fly, a new raid launching on July 29, and more. Launch day is just the beginning for the expansion, with a large-scale update named Ash & Iron due to come out on Sept. 2, boasting new and reprised activities, new sandbox meta, new events, new modifiers and challenges, and new gear and artifact mods.

But that's not the last DLC coming for Destiny 2 in 2025. Oh no, we're just getting started, and up next we will go to a galaxy far, far away.

Destiny 2: Renegades countdown

The second expansion for Destiny 2 in 2025 is called Renegades, and it draws heavy inspiration from Star Wars. Characters can be seen holding Star Wars-like blasters and lightsabers, but the story will be true to Destiny's lore and world, and is an official partnership between Bungie and Lucasfilm Games.

Destiny 2: Renegades is scheduled to launch on Dec. 2, 2025 at around 12pm CT. Here's a countdown until then:

[hurrytimer id="1064695"]

Renegades will include a new dungeon, new story, new missions, new weapons, gear, and a bunch more when it drops to close out 2025, and another new year of Destiny 2 can begin again when the DLC's major update Shadow & Order arrives on March 3, 2026.

This article will be updated with more information whenever it becomes available.

using laser eyes in the sky as superman in fortnite

I'm gonna say it. I want a standalone Superman video game. I know that this is a heavy request that comes with massive baggage, but I feel that it's time.

Ever since Superman: The New Adventures for the Nintendo 64 way back in 1999, it's as though Clark Kent's gaming repertoire has been doomed. The most recent attempt at a standalone Superman game goes back to 2006's Superman Returns, which was based on the movie of the same name, and he's since been mostly shelved. It's been long enough.

I realize this is not the greatest time in the industry for a call like this to be made, especially as projects are being canceled left and right, dev costs are skyrocketing, and studios are being hit with layoffs and closures just about every month. But Superman is a hero who deserves a shot, especially now that public opinion has swayed back in his favor with James Gunn's Superman movie being received so well. He's even been fun to see and play as in Fortnite.

Warner Bros. Games recently shut down development on a Wonder Woman game and closed the servers for fighting game MultiVersus (which Superman actually appeared in), so confidence in the DC IP when it comes to gaming must not be very high. But with the right developer and DC mind at the helm, I can't help but feel like a Superman game would succeed.

Taking inspiration from other singleplayer-focused superhero titles like Batman: Arkham or Marvel's Spider-Man, Superman should be an open-world title where the focus revolves around the Man of Steel's super flight, speed, strength, laser vision, etc.

For inspiration on Superman's flight, look no further than a game like Anthem. Say what you will about the failed looter shooter, but it nailed flight and in-air combat. Imagine flying around as Supes, using laser vision and icy breath to fight airborne enemies, close in with speed for melee abilities, and then fly back around to the next objective at breakneck speed.

The issue with this hero, as usual, is that he's just overpowered. He's basically unstoppable unless Kryptonite is in the equation, so that would be a necessity. But the trope of losing powers early on and then going on a quest to regain them might also be a requirement to make it work from a gameplay standpoint.

I think the dynamic between Superman and Clark Kent must also be explored, similarly to how Marvel's Spider-Man features segments as both the wallcrawler and Peter Parker. Balancing Superman's responsibilities with Clark's work as a reporter and loved one could be very fun if written well.

Recently, WB Games announced it would be re-focusing on four core franchises: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat, and the DC universe. I think if there's ever to be a chance for the video game that Superman deserves, it's within these next few years to capitalize on his return to the spotlight.

No live service. No battle pass. Just a good, narrative-driven Superman singleplayer adventure with his rogues gallery and Lois Lane in tow, along with maybe some other superpowered friends who are fans of Justice. That just sounds super to me. And it's exactly the kind of game WB should be focusing on.

rogueblox race tier list and race guide

Picking the best race in RogueBlox is more important than in other Roblox RPGs since they can give you quite powerful passive and active abilities. Also, it's much easier and cheaper rerolling them and getting new ones than in RPGs like Rune Slayer or Deepwoken. That's why I'm going to take you through the strongest ones in this RogueBlox race tier list and guide.

RogueBlox Race Tier List

rogueblox race tier list

The best race in RogueBlox is a title shared by several great options which we'll discuss below in more detail. All you need to know is that you want to keep races that have good PVP abilities as well as PVE. RogueBlox PVE isn't hard but the biggest problem are other player ganking and wiping you since this is a permadeath game. This means you need to get good at PVP and have a strong race for this. There's no trash race so no D-Tier, play what you like but keep in mind that some races are drastically stronger than others. Let's quickly outline what all Tiers mean and then go into each race separately below:

  • S-Tier: The most useful overall PVP and PVE options.
  • A-Tier: Incredibly strong PVP-only options.
  • B-Tier: Races that can be great under specific situations or have a powerful niche use.
  • C-Tier: Can be decent options but are generally underpowered compared to the rest.

Info: Race abilities require a certain number of in-game Days to pass. Each day is 30 minutes of in-game time.

• Antiheal is quite strong in PVP to disable recovery for one or multiple enemies
• The only soft counter is lifesteal

• The Frighten active on Day 10 is excellent crowd-control against multiple players

1.667% Roll Chance
Passives
• [On-Spawn] Currenly Doesn't Work

Actives
• [Day 5]

• [Day 10]
Outstretch your arm, firing a barrage of projectiles that track and lock onto targets, dealing minor damage and applying stacks.
• Really good for farming Tundra or Volcano areas since you can stay there infinitely since you don't suffer the Volcano overheat effect nor the Freeze from Tundra
• The Active can be powerful if you land it but the Day 10 active is really easy to dodge
• Overall against experienced players this is just a solid B-Tier race that needs a buff.

• [Day 35]
Day 35 ability will now spread any and all fire applied onto yourself to your opponents on the last tick.
• The Cactica starting location isn't finished yet so some features might be missing
• The reflection is the best ability this race has but while it's strong it's not in higher Tiers since enemies can usually wait it out with dashes and blocks
• The active ability is weak but the Day 35 buff makes it pretty good

Hytlotl
3.667% Roll Chance
Passives
• [On Spawn]
Swim faster.
• [Day 15]
When perfect blocking attacks or inflicting electrocution, build up static electricity in your gills. After PBing with 4 stacks, release the electricity and electrocute nearby enemies.
• [Day 20]
Inflicting Electrocution will proc your weapon enchantment on the enemy. M1-ing enemies that are in the Electrocution animation will boost your weapon enchantment proc chance to 100%. These effects have a shared CD of 50s.
Actives
• [Day 10]
Dash forward while spreading open your arms and spinning, dealing hitstun and damage to anyone nearby.
• While the AOE shock isn't anything special the 100% guaranteed enchant proc on Electrocution is pretty good.
• The race is still B-Tier because it doesn't have much else to propel it to A or S.

Lihzahrd
9.667% Roll Chance
Passives
• [On-Spawn]
Zilards will not attack you.
• [On-Spawn]

• Most of the benefits are nice to have but aren't anything powerful
• Lihzahrd wants you to get Poison damage for the Day 20 and Day 30 ability and then they're A-Tier with some practice if you can use them relaibly
• The active is mid, not great, not terrible

Florian
11.667% Roll Chance
Passives
• [On-Spawn]
As a Florian, you gain the ability to store "essence" with the Day 3 Active.
• [Day 20]

While in the ground, you will take 55% less damage.
• [Day 10]
• Fire a beam of energy using your essence as a resource dealing AOE damage in front of you.
• Arguably almost a C-Tier race but the 10% damage increase is good.
• This is because the beam was nerfed to deal less damage and have less AOE. It's still okay for PVE but it's harder to use in PVP.
• The nice part about the race is that hunger is never a problem since you can recharge it with the Day 3 active.

C-Tier Races

Race Race Abilities Ranking Reason

Elf
11.667% Roll Chance
Passives
• [On-Spawn]
Charge mana 18% faster.
• [Day 10]
Spell casting range increased by 7.5%.
Stacks with all other forms of increased spell casting range.
• [Day 25]
Gain an extra spell clap without needing to lose maximum HP.
Can hold 4 claps compared to normally holding 3.
Actives
• [Day 10]
Coat your body in mana, allowing you to absorb a spell before shattering. Additionally, you nullify any incoming projectiles or multi-hitting spells.
• The active is really good but otherwise all the benefits are lackluster if you're not heavily focusing on spells.
• B-Tier for mages

Avian
5.667% Roll Chance
Passives
• [On-Spawn]
When above 50% mana, gain zero gravity properties. This applies to your jump.
• [On-Spawn]
Take 30% less fall damage.
• [Day 5]
Gain a speed boost if you land any projectile hit.
• [Day 15]
Reset Active CD after landing your final M1. 10 second CD.
• [Day 20]
M1-ing enemies with speed boosts will siphon half of their speed boost to you. 30s CD.
Actives
• [Day 10]
Throw forward 3 feather projectiles dealing damage. If you're in the air during this action, lift yourself up and float for a short duration.
• Has a fun playstyle that is decently mobile but the racial abilities simply aren't that strong
• The projectiles deal low damage and you can't stay in the air and kite since you have to complete your M1 combo on the ground to reset the Active

Goblin
11.667% Roll Chance
Passives
• [On-Spawn]
Sell trinkets for more silver.
• [On-Spawn]
Can eat trinkets and gain 25% hunger.
Actives
• [On-Spawn]
Upon activation, user will be unable to move and character screen will turn black for 5 seconds. During this period, players can see nearby ingredients and trinkets, even through walls
• [Day 5]
Upon eating a trinket, user can spit it out as a projectile dealing damage to opponents
• If any race is a D-Tier it's Goblins but at least they farm Silver well
• Useless for PVP

All Race Reroll Methods in RogueBlox

RogueBlox has a really flexibile race reroll system and here are all methods for changing your race:

  • Mementos: You can pay 2.5 Mementos to reroll your race after wiping. You gain Mementos by progressing in the game, wiping with Ultra class progression unlocked (Get two Super), petting the Traveling Merchant's cat 10 times and then talking to the dog upstairs, etc. You cash them in when wiping. I farmed Mementos by doing the Traveling Merchant's cat method for 0.3 Mementos and wiping (The merchant has 8 possible locations). That said, finding a reliable way to get Ultra class progression fast and then wiping might be faster since that gives you 1 Memento. I recommend rushing base spear into Gladiator Super and base sword classes into Executioner Super to get Ultra class progression from 2 Super classes.
  • Robux: Same as with Mementos, you can also pay 80 Robux to reroll your race during character creation or after wiping.
  • Codes: Checkout the link below for RogueBlox codes which will sometimes give you free race rerolls.

That's it for my RogueBlox race tier list and guide. Don't forget to check out our RogueBlox codes for free goodies for the game.

Three Guardians clad in Edge of Fate armor pose for a promotional image in Destiny 2

A new Destiny 2 expansion is set to release tomorrow. Edge of Fate is Bungie's latest DLC for the long-running FPS looter shooter, and it marks the beginning of a new era for the game. And maybe me, too.

For years, Destiny 2 was something of a social life replacement for me. The first game and its sequel were where friends and I gathered to tackle Raids, Strikes, and Crucible PvP together while hanging out, leveling up, and exploring the universe. Now? I feel like people have moved on.

Promo art in Destiny 2 Year of Prophecy
Image via Bungie

I'm probably not alone in feeling like The Final Shape was the end of my Destiny-playing era, at least when it comes to it being a main game of mine. I'll be returning to play Edge of Fate after barely playing the game over the past year since taking down the Witness last summer, but I can't say the same for my friend group, who have shown no interest in coming back.

The Final Shape ended Destiny's "Light and Darkness Saga," and now begins the "Fate Saga," where Guardians will "venture into the unknown, where the mysteries of the cosmos – and The Nine – await." The expansion includes a new story, a new location called Kepler ("a planetoid shrouded by dark matter and plagued by a singularity"), new characters, and a lot of intrigue.

It feels like the main selling point of Edge of Fate is that mystery, which is probably a smart idea. This is a new frontier for the characters in the universe, but also for Bungie as it gets ready to launch another game in Marathon and have both live service titles running concurrently. I hope it works out.

And so now I ask you, dear reader, are you in the same boat as me? Do you feel like Destiny 2 has run its course, or is your fireteam getting back together in orbit tomorrow to take on Bungie's latest?

Xbox image

The prices for Xbox's handheld console, the ROG Xbox Ally, might have just leaked prematurely online through the ASUS store, and the prices of the console aren't doing it any favors.

As first discovered by 3DJuegos, two versions of the ROG have been found so far, with a cheaper option costing what appears to be 599 Euros, and the more expensive version costing 899 Euros. We should preface that any supposed leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven correct, but the prices are pretty steep when compared to its competition.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIVmyOIV1MQ&ab_channel=Xbox

If we change the Euros into US Dollars, then the prices exchange currently to $700 for the base model and $1050 for the more expensive model, though we don't expect these to be the official prices should the consoles come to the US, until the US Government's tariffs raise prices. And even if we knock a hundred dollars off each one, it still would make it one of the most expensive handheld gaming devices on the market.

For example, the Switch 2 launched at $449.99 in the US for just the system, and the Steam Deck goes for anywhere from $400 to $650 US Dollars for different versions, which would still be significantly less than what both Xbox and Asus are asking for. You could argue that the ROG Xbox Ally would have the benefit of playing both Steam and Xbox games, but it's still a ghastly amount for a gimmick of a device.

As you might imagine, places like Reddit have been memeing on this supposed price leak, claiming the console is dead upon arrival. But again, we have to preface that this leak is not in any way official, and could be a mistake on Asus's part, or not real at all. You can say that's copium, but we have to remind everyone not to believe everything they read on the internet before it is officially revealed.

So, for now, let's hope for the best, as if these prices are even slightly close to the actual retail price, I don't see this handheld console doing well in the long run.

A ghost trapped in a summoning circle in front of a flaming cross in Phasmophobia

If you think you've mastered the art of ghost hunting in Phasmophobia, you may be ready to put your skills to the test. Weekly challenge modes are a great way to see how good you are.

These special trials modify how the game works, usually with rules that make the experience a lot harder. Successfully finishing the challenge gets you plenty of XP and cash, so it's well worth the effort. Here's the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia and everything you need to know to beat it.

Phasmophobia weekly challenge mode (July 13 to 20)

Screenshot by Destructoid

From July 13 to 20, the weekly challenge is Detectives Only in Phasmophobia. In this challenge, the ghost gives you zero evidence, which makes identifying the correct one incredibly difficult. You have to rely on unofficial evidence, ghost behaviors, and patterns to catch the culprit.

How to complete the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia

To finish the weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia, you need to correctly identify the ghost present on the featured map three times. The specific changes present in each trial mode vary, but your goal is always the same.

All Detectives Only weekly challenge modifiers in Phasmophobia

The Detectives Only challenge mode has several specific rules that modify the way the contract functions. Here are all the key details you need to know about this trial.

  • Map: 42 Edgefield Road
  • Starting sanity: 100 percent
  • Setup time: None
  • Evidence given: None
  • Cursed Possession: Ouija Board
  • Equipment: All Tier I items.

    • Tier I: Sanity Medication, Head Gear, Salt, Incense, Firelight, Sound Sensor, UV Light, Sound Recorder, Ghost Writing Book, Crucifix, Parabolic Microphone, DOTS Projector, Flashlight, Spirit Box, Thermometer, Video Camera, EMF Reader, Photo Camera, Tripod, Motion Sensors, and Igniters.

  • Missing Equipment: None

Phasmophobia Detectives Only weekly challenge mode tips

The Detectives Only challenge is one of the trickier ones you can attempt in Phasmophobia, so here are some of the best tips to help you get it done.

  • Bring all your equipment to the front door. Before you start investigating, bring all of the items you need to the front door on the map. You have no setup time at all, so if you prepare a bit by gathering the items you need as close to the map entrance as possible, you'll save time and be much more likely to succeed.
  • Watch for unofficial evidence, behaviors, and patterns. The ghost won't grant you any official evidence in this trial, so you have to rely on unofficial evidence to figure out what type of ghost is present. Examples of what to search for include specific noises picked up by the Sound Recorder, Ghost Orbs left behind by The Mimic, and the Wraith's refusal to ever step in Salt.
  • Place Crucifixes in the ghost room. Once you know where the ghost is, place your Crucifixes around the room for protection. This powerful tool can block a few ghost hunts, so make sure you use it to your advantage.
  • Recheck the ghost room frequently. The ghost has a higher likelihood than usual of changing its favorite room in this trial. Because of this, it's crucial to check regularly whether or not the ghost is still hanging out in the room you believe to be its favorite. If they move, you'll have to pick up all your gear and find the new location so you can gather evidence.
  • Play with friends. Your odds of success are a lot better with allies helping you through this tricky trial. With additional ghost hunters at your side, you can explore the map more quickly, work together to gather evidence, and continue the investigation even if you perish.
  • Don't give up. Since all equipment is provided to you for free, there's nothing to lose in this challenge. Because of this, you can keep trying without worrying about losing money or equipment. Give each contract your all and keep at it until you get it done.

When does the challenge mode change in Phasmophobia?

The challenge mode changes every Monday at 12am UTC, which translates to 7pm CT every Sunday. You have a full week to tackle each challenge mode when it's available. All challenge modes return regularly since they're on a rotating schedule, so if you don't get to finish one, you can always try it again in the future.

Next weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia

The next weekly challenge mode, which will run from July 20 to 27, is Hide and Seek: Seeker. This trial begins as soon as the featured one for this week, which is Detectives Only, ends.

Phoenix and Blade battling side by side in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals releases fresh content pretty frequently, so it can be tough to keep up with what's up next. It's a lot easier to follow these updates by checking out the roadmap of planned content, and there's a lot to look forward to in season 3.

Keeping up is crucial if you want to ensure you don't miss out on any exciting additions. Here's the complete roadmap for season 3 in Marvel Rivals, including both the first and second halves of the season.

Season 3 roadmap for Marvel Rivals

Image via NetEase Games

Here is a full breakdown of all roadmap updates we know are coming throughout season 3 and season 3.5. We'll update this guide as we learn any additional details, so you can check back here often to stay up to date on what's coming next.

Summer skins and event

On July 18, we're getting a Summer Party event featuring an array of fresh skins. So far, summer skins for Loki, Thor, Luna Snow, and Psylocke have been teased, but it's certainly possible there are others arriving too.

Another skin that may come with this event is for Punisher. Several reliable leakers shared an image of what this skin will look like. Since he doesn't appear on the official roadmap, it seems like he could potentially be a free event skin while the other four appear in the shop, but we won't know for sure until the event is live.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps skins and Team-Up

To coincide with the launch of The Fantastic Four: First Steps film, Marvel Rivals is releasing some Fantastic Four content on July 25, the same day the movie comes out. This includes four new skins, all of which are based on the costumes featured in the movie, and one special new Team-Up.

The Team-Up is between Human Torch and The Thing. We don't know what it will involve yet, but based on the trailers for the film, it could possibly be centered around Human Torch picking up The Thing and throwing him at enemies.

Phoenix skins

On Aug. 1, two fresh looks are coming to the shop. This included Phoenix Magik and Phoenix Black Panther. Although a proper look at their outfits hasn't been shared yet, they can be spotted in some gallery artwork and the official art for season 3.

Season 3.5

Plenty of additional updates and content will arrive on Aug. 8 with the launch of season 3.5. The biggest new feature is Blade, another powerful Duelist unit joining the roster. This update will also feature a new map, new Team-Ups, and a new Competitive mode.

All released content in Marvel Rivals season 3

Season 3 has already introduced several major updates for Marvel Rivals. Here's everything that has already been released from the roadmap.

  • New Duelist – Phoenix
  • New battle pass – Power of the Phoenix
  • New Team-Ups – Primal Flame (Phoenix and Wolverine) and Ever-Burning Bond (Human Torch and Spider-Man)
  • New map – Klyntar: Celestial Husk
  • New customization option – Hero accessories
  • New customization option – Ultimate VFX
  • New event – Milano Repair Logs
  • New feature – College perks

If you want to learn more about any of the released content, check out the patch notes for season 3.

A large view from above of a player base, half of it is on fire.

Gravlite Panels and Gravcores are two of the most essential items in RimWorld Odyssey, and you'll need them to expand your mobile base. However, these are also some of the hardest to obtain items (at least in the current build of the game).

The Odyssey DLC has breathed fresh life into RimWorld, which has seen a massive spike in the player count. However, your Gravship is different from creating your settlement on the land, as there are certain added limitations. You can bypass them with the help of Gravlite Panels and Gravcores. Let's find out how you can get both items.

How to get Gravlite Panels in RimWorld Odyssey?

Gravlite Panels are construction materials required to build items in your Gravship. They're necessary for many recipes, which also means that you'll need to have a handful of them with you at all times. There are a few different ways to obtain them.

  • Certain quests reward you with Gravlite Panels, but that aspect relies heavily on luck.
  • The best way to obtain Gravlite Panels is to unlock them from Research. Once you complete Advanced Gravtech, you'll unlock the ability to make Gravlite Panels. You'll also need vacstone blocks to make your panels. Vacstone blocks can be obtained from outer space, but for that, you'll need to craft your Gravship strategically.

Screenshot by Destructoid

How to get Gravcores in RimWorld Odyssey?

Your Gravship has an outer boundary that stipulates where you can add the substructures. As you keep expanding your ship, you'll run out of space pretty soon. This is where Gravcores come in, as they're required to make different items.

Just like Gravlite Panels, Gravcores are materials required to produce different advanced items of your spaceship. For example, they're needed for your Grav Field Extender, which allows you to expand the limits of your mobile base.

Unlike Gravlite Panels, you can't produce Gravcores with raw materials. They can be obtained from different quests. Once you land on a planet, make sure to check out the map to find out more about those quests. So far, the quests don't expire, so you get to complete them at your own pace. There's a possibility that we might be able to produce Gravcores after a future update (or with the help of a mod).

Superman, Elio, and Glordon all looking up

Hello again, Destructoid, and welcome to another installment of Weekly Watchlist. This week, we're talking about more movies, and specifically delving into two of the best films I've seen all year—Superman and Elio.

Both of these movies delivered on all fronts for me, and I'm curious to know how you felt about them, too. So, let's dive in and discuss what makes these films as good as they are.

Superman and Krypto looking down at earth from space
Image via Warner Bros.

Superman is, without a doubt, one of the best movies I've ever seen and easily in my top 10 superhero films of all time across both DC and Marvel. I've been waiting for this one all year, and everything about it delivered. At its core, Superman is a film about empathy and hope, and it's exactly the film we need right now.

Admittedly, I've always been more of a Batman fan than I am a Superman fan. I just never really got his character, or lack thereof, before this movie. Superman has completely changed this, though, and he's quickly become one of my favorite heroes. I went in expecting greatness, as I've loved every superhero film James Gunn has been behind so far, and this one somehow exceeded my already high expectations.

The cast of this movie makes the film what it is. David Corenswet was born to play Superman, Edi Gathegi steals every scene he's in as the ridiculously cool Mr. Terrific, Nicholas Hoult cements himself as one of the greatest comic book film villains of all time in the role of Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan brings incredible heart to Lois Lane, and so on for the rest of the cast. It's truly astonishing how every character feels like a scene stealer at various points throughout the film.

Superman and Lois Lane kissing in the air
Image via Warner Bros.

Superman is a fast-paced, colorful, and always chaotic film with so many things going on at once. It can be hard to keep up, but this energy is what makes it feel like a literal comic book come to life. You jump right into the action, and you stay there from start to finish. It's truly everything I wanted it to be and so much more. Superman is a must-see movie to me, and I can't wait to see where the newly rebooted DCU goes next after this.

Another great film I saw recently is Elio, a space adventure movie that follows a lonely young boy searching for his place in a world he feels doesn't want him. It's about finding a place to belong and appreciating what you've got, and it's a downright charming movie that deserves way more praise.

After losing his parents, Elio doesn't feel wanted by anyone on Earth, so he looks to the skies for companionship instead. He spends years trying to get aliens to abduct him in several goofy ways before eventually succeeding at this endeavor.

Elio laying in sand with the message "aliens abduct me" written around him
Image via Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Once he's in space, the real adventure begins as he's mistaken for the leader of Earth by the Communiverse, a group of aliens from all across the Milky Way. He gets caught up in this lie and spends the rest of the film navigating through tricky situations because of it.

Eventually, Elio realizes he never gave life on Earth with his aunt Olga a real shot, and that he already has a place to belong. There are some genuinely touching moments throughout this film, accompanied by several gloriously goofy ones. It'll have you tearing up one second, then bursting out in laughter the next, which is what I always love about Pixar films.

Visually, Elio is also quite stunning, with some beautiful space scenery and many colorful alien characters. Overall, it's quite a heartwarming film you should check out if you have the chance to do so.

So, Destructoid, have you had a chance to check out either of these movies yet? If so, what did you think about them? And what else have you been watching lately? Let us know down in the comments.

Lost Sword promo art

Lost Sword's global launch hasn't been free of controversy, but the new gacha does offer a good variety of characters for players to obtain.

Characters in the game have different roles, and your priority should be building a balanced roster. However, some characters, irrespective of their assigned roles, are simply better. They can either fit into different roles or are simply stronger. Your in-game resources are limited, so you want to start as strong as possible.

Let's look at how the tier list currently looks right after the global launch.

Complete Lost Sword tier list

I have used four different tiers to classify the characters in Lost Sword. So far, the S-tier and A-tier characters are powerful, and you should put all your efforts into building them up first.

  • S-tier characters are the best units currently available in the game, and almost all can fit multiple roles.
  • A-tier characters are your next best bet when it comes to squad building.
  • B-tier characters are beginner choices at best, and your goal should be replacing them as you get better units.
  • C-tier characters are average at best, and you should replace them immediately.

Before we dive deeper into the tier list, there are more factors to consider.

  • I have compounded the tier lists by combining the modes. Some characters will shine better in the PvE mode, while others will perform better in Raids and PvP.
  • I have been wholly dedicated to the PvE mode, as there's an essence of P2W about PvP. Unless you're a whale, you should do the same.

Promo art for Lost Sword global
Screenshot via Wemade Connect

S-tier

  • Galahad: Best tank and support character in the game, across every mode.
  • Lancelot: Another great tank who can double up as a hybrid damage dealer.
  • Dian Cecht: Decent hybrid support who also heals as a secondary.
  • Tiamat: Best DPS in the game, but struggles slightly in PvP.
  • Neo Bedivere: Best support in the game, and offers a good healing option for the team.
  • Lisa: A powerful DPS character who relies heavily on her range.
  • Kay: Great tank that can also deal with decent damage. Best option for PvP.
  • Claire: Best supporter when it comes to PvP.
  • Merlin: My main support is slightly low in the PvP. Her ability to freeze opponents is immense.

A-tier

  • Erin: An excellent and well-rounded support who is pretty consistent across all game modes.
  • Isabel: Like Erin, she is a fantastic support across every game mode.
  • Guinevere: Amazing healer with revive who does well in all modes, barring Raids.
  • Ria: While Ria is assigned as a support main, she does better as a healer, and more so in PvP.
  • Cristina: Good hybrid DPS character in PvE, but lackluster otherwise.
  • Ran: Good DPS who is better to use in PvE.
  • Vivien: Good magic-based DPS with her main strength being her general attacking prowess.
  • Joan: A rare support who is almost C-tier in PvE but very strong elsewhere.
  • Tristan: Good support to build if you're focusing on Raids and PvE.

B-tier

There's not much to say about the names on this tier and below. They all have their respective strengths in niche areas, but they're not worth your time or resources.

  • Percival
  • Gawain
  • Morgause
  • Morgana
  • Mia
  • Circe
  • Anessa
  • Enya
  • Lilith
  • Lucy
  • Katrin
  • Elizabeth

C-tier

  • Urien
  • Ethan
  • Rachel
  • Esmeralda
  • Bedivere
  • Rowena
  • Elin
  • Rita
  • Jessi
  • Elaine
  • Isis
  • Ray
  • Sarah
  • Merry
  • Nyume
  • Gaheris
