Okay, sure, we have longer uncanny Sora videos and the possibility of a more, um, erotic ChatGPT, but the really big news was the passing of the official Windows 10 End of Life date (Oct. 14) and how people can and are dealing with it. I like that there's an off-brand version of Windows 11 that you can run on Windows 10 systems that can't handle the official upgrade.
Apple also hit the headlines with a bunch of new M5 hardware. The more notable thing about the Apple Silicon update is that Apple is positioning it as an AI upgrade for the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro. The Vision Pro got the new silicon, too, but that seems mostly about visual performance and battery life.
It was a bit of a rough week for smartphones, with a Pixel 10 Pro Fold teardown going seriously awry and the Galaxy S25 Edge perhaps never making it to S26 Edge. At least we're getting close to finally seeing that tri-fold Galaxy phone.
There's no more Peacemaker for me to watch, but at least I'll soon have a new Harlan Coben thriller to watch on Netf-*... er... Prime. Enjoy the weekend, and we'll see you next week back on TechRadar.
