Not long after Donkey Kong Bananza's debut, Nintendo already added to the experience with DK Island and Emerald Rush DLC. Did it arrive quickly? I guess, but two months after launch isn't really too fast. But what I find interesting is that it almost feels like it is designed to not only capitalize on nostalgia for past entries in the series, but I got the impression that the roguelike Emerald Rush almost intended to tap into my fondness for Donkey Kong Bananza gameplay itself.
This is a totally post-game experience, so someone must complete Donkey Kong Bananza, then talk to one of the Elders, before being able to take the Eelevator the entirely new DK Island location on the surface. Void Kong basically wound up there after being knocked out of the picture by King K. Rool, and is stewing.
![]()
![]()
Now, to start, this is an incredibly faithful rendition of DK Island based on appearances from multiple games. There's the wreckage of King K. Rool's Gangplank Galleon next to Void's shack that acts as headquarters for his new company. Squawks' Hut is on the beach. You could sort of consider the Jungle Ruins to be a bit of the recreation of the Kongo Jungle or even Diddy Kong Racing Strangled Shrine spot. Once you get inside the mountainous monkey head, the Crystal Mines from Donkey Kong 64 seem to be represented inside. Vine Valley and DK's Tree House are present. I could really tell when certain spots were referencing specific entries in the series and locations, which felt quite fun both when wandering around for fun or exploring the area during Emerald Rush.
I do wish there was a little more to it in terms of other characters showing up on DK Island in the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC, however. Squawks does return as a vendor, which is fun. There are statues for everyone who does make a cameo if you get enough Banandium Chips from Emerald Rush. However, once you ask Rambi to bring people by, there isn't too much interaction with Diddy, Dixie, and Cranky. You can see them there and talk to them, but I suppose I hoped to hear more from them or see them engage in more activities when on the island.
I mentioned before that the roguelike Emerald Rush also seemed like a nostalgia trip for Donkey Kong Bananza itself. Part of that is bringing Void Kong back so quickly. He's here and (sort of) on his redemption arc. His mode prioritizes gathering as much Emerald Ore as possible over six Rounds, gaining Perks for doing things like finding Bananas, collecting fossils, and completing challenges. We're starting from scratch! There are no standard Skill Tree skills carried over! We need to bust things up as much as possible, as quickly as possible, to meet Quotas.
![]()
![]()
![]()
It really feels like a more condensed take on the general Donkey Kong Bananza experience. Hey, did you enjoy collecting the Gold Ore the first time around? How about revisiting all of those places and doing so in timed challenges? The nature of it also reminded me of Splatoon's Salmon Run in a way, due to the collection elements and needing to make quota to continue playing. (Just like how some of the bosses reminded me of ones from Splatoon campaigns!) It felt like a way to incentivize revisiting everything.
Which means how much you get out of the Donkey Kong Bananza DK Island and Emerald Rush DLC varies depending on how much you enjoyed this entry and the series in general. Getting a new location that does highlight famous DK Island locations in a new format is really fun. Especially as you piece together what each spot represents. Meanwhile, Emerald Rush feels designed to compel people to go through Donkey Kong Bananza again in a roguelike way, speeding up the destruction and collecting process with new incentives. Which means both elements really hit best if you love the series and this particular entry. If you don't, you might not get as much mileage out of it.
Donkey Kong Bananza and its DK Island and Emerald Rush DLC are available now.

When Square Enix last brought up the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Switch 2 and Xbox Series X release, it noted this version of FFVII would include a Streamlined Progression option, and now there are new screenshots that also highlight that feature. However, while there is one that shows how those options will work, the other images focus on highlighting characters and locations in the game.
The FFVII Remake Streamlined Progression on the Switch 2 and Xbox Series X involves 10 different elements that can be adjusted for an easier experience, and the Options menu screenshot shows all of them. Constant Max HP and Constant Max MP are two separate options that can be enabled and disabled. You can also trigger how frequently characters can attack by turning on ATB Gauge Always Full, and ensure you can use a Limit Break at any time but toggling Limit Gauge Always Full on. Constant Max Damage is another option. You can ensure you never run out of money with Constant Max Gil. Constant Max Recovery Items is designed to make it easier to heal. There are also options to get characters set up sooner with Easy Weapon Ability Acquisition, Max Materia Levels, and 2x EXP & 3x AP Gain. These can be enabled or disabled whenever you want.
Here's the screenshot showing that.

Fortnite quests regularly task you with finding and interacting with unique items around the island. It's oftentimes tricky to track them down, as you're given no guidance to do so, as is the case with Meteors.
Some missions you encounter may ask you to search for and open Meteors, but not when or where to find these strange items. Knowing what you're searching for is essential, so here's how to find Meteors in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Where to find Meteors in Fortnite
![]()
Meteors fall down to the island after a player becomes Megazord in Fortnite. There are no set locations for them to spawn, and they can fall from the sky just about anywhere, but they tend to pop up fairly close to wherever Megazord is.
Because of this, you should head to Megazord's location to have the best shot at finding them. Once you're in the general vicinity of this character, look up and watch for bright orange trails falling from the sky. When you see one, make your way over to where it's headed.
If you're playing as Megazord, you can also use your stomping ability to instantly crush one. This action contributes progress to the Megazord quest that asks you to search Meteors, so it's a quick and easy way to advance this mission.
Search Meteors in Fortnite
You can search Meteors by approaching them and selecting the interact button that appears next to one. It varies by platform, but it's always displayed when you're standing close to one. You can also just fire at them with everything you've got or swing at them with your Pickaxe if you prefer to use one of these methods instead.
Meteors are essentially special versions of chests that contain loot designed to help you take down Megazord so you can claim the special Boon or Medallion. The exact items each one drops varies, but you'll generally find a powerful weapon or two, like the Leadspitter, some ammo, and some other goodies.
![]()
With some powerful new loot at your disposal, you're ready to take on tricky endeavors all around the island. You might try working on some of the tougher missions you need to get done, like completing a Hunter SHADOW Briefing, using an Ascender and a Zipline in the same match, and finishing all Egg-cellent Observations story quests.

The Power Rangers have arrived to help deal with the bug chaos plaguing the island in Fortnite. These powerful heroes are great allies to have at your side, but finding them can be a bit tricky.
These characters are some of the best NPCs you can find around the island, so knowing where to look for them is useful. If you're struggling to meet up with these mighty heroes, here are all Power Ranger locations in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Where to find all Power Rangers in Fortnite
![]()
There are six Rangers you can find around the island in Fortnite, all of which offer unique services. Inetarcting with these characters is crucial for several key quests, so here's where to find each one.
Green Ranger location in Fortnite
The Green Ranger can be found near the north end of OXR HQ. There are a few different NPCs you can meet around this location, so to make sure you're heading toward the right one, head directly to the north end of this outpost. His services are the least useful out of all the rangers, as he offers the same OXR Patch Up and Rift granted by all other NPCs.
Pink Ranger location in Fortnite
The Pink Ranger can be found in a small bug-infested area located near the very south end of The Hive. She's also east of Shiny Shafts and north of Ranger's Ruin. She can be hired as a Scout Specialist.
![]()
Blue Ranger location in Fortnite
You can find the Blue Ranger wandering around a small area slightly north of OXR HQ. This location was known as Pumped Power in previous seasons, but is now an unnamed region. This ranger can be hired as a Supply Specialist.
Yellow Ranger location in Fortnite
The Yellow Ranger can be found hanging around north of Foxy Floodgate and south of Swarmy Stash. She's also slightly east of where you can find the Pink Ranger. You can hire the Yellow Ranger as a Medic Specialist.
Black Ranger location in Fortnite
The Black Ranger is close to a gas station that's found west of The Hive. This location is also north of Shiny Shafts and south of Resistance Base. He can be hired as a Heavy Specialist.
![]()
Red Ranger location in Fortnite
The Red Ranger can be found just south of the Shining Span bridge, close to a small OXR setup with some equipment and barricades scattered about. He's a Supply Specialist who offers you ammo occasionally while fighting by your side.
With some mighty heroes ready to fight at your side, you can now get to work tackling tricky quests around the island. Some good ones to work on are talking to Championship Surf Witch about FNCS, completing all Egg-cellent Observations story quests, and using an Ascender and a Zipline in the same match.

Megazord has arrived on the island, and this amalgamation of the Power Rangers has brought with them many new mechanics to explore in Fortnite. Completing all Megazord quests is a great way to uncover everything that's new.
You need loads of XP to earn all Megazord rewards and advance your way through the battle pass, so tackling all tasks you come across is crucial. If any of these missions have you stumped, here's how to complete all Megazord quests in Fortnite.
Table of contents
All Megazord quests in Fortnite
![]()
There are six Megazord quests you can tackle in Fortnite, all of which are different from the Megazord community quests you likely already tackled, despite them sharing nearly the same name. These missions aren't necessary for progression, but they're an easy way to quickly earn lots of XP, helping you swiftly claim all Megazord rewards. Here's how to get all of these quests done.
Witness Megazord's arrival in Fortnite
Your first mission is to witness Megazord's arrival. This one will auto-complete on its own the first time you're in a match where Megazord spawns in. If it doesn't get checked off right away, head closer to wherever Megazord is on the island until it's complete.
Hit opponents with Megazord or the Blade Blaster in Fortnite
Next, you need to hit opponents with Megazord or the Blade Blaster. This mission requires you to deliver 20 hits while piloting Megazord or using the Blade Blaster gun. It's a pretty high number of strikes, so it's best to use both methods to work through it quickly. You can attack both enemy players and enemy NPCs, including bugs, to make progress in this quest.
![]()
Search Meteors or Premium Supply Drops in Fortnite
You need to search a total of 20 Meteors or Premium Supply Drops to finish the next quest. Meteors fall from the sky randomly once someone has assumed control of Megazord, and Premium Supply Drops are any OXR Drop Pods that pop up around the island. You can make more pods spawn by increasing your OXR Rank.
Talk to the Green Ranger in Fortnite
Have one discussion with the Green Ranger about what's going on around the island to finish this quest. You can find the Green Ranger hanging out around the far north end of OXR HQ, which is situated slightly north of the middle of the map.
Deal damage to or as Megazord in Fortnite
Dish out a total of 10,000 damage against Megazord, or deal this much while playing as them to complete the next quest. You're extra powerful when you become Megazord, so consider starting with this method first, then dealing any additional damage that's needed from the ground against other Megazords in future rounds.
Hire one of the Power Rangers before the second storm forms in Fortnite
![]()
The last quest you need to tackle is hiring one of the Power Rangers before the second storm forms. Venture to one of the Power Ranger locations around the island and spend 600 gold bars to hire any of these NPCs. You need to finish this task very early on in the round, so it's best to head to one of their spawn locations straight out of the battle bus.

The Megazord Mythic has arrived on the island in Fortnite, so if you're lucky, you can harness its massive potential to unleash devastating damage on your foes. To have a shot at doing so, you need to know how to become Megazord.
This special power isn't available to everyone, and only one player or team can gain these abilities per round. If you're hoping to get the chance to experience it, here's how to become Megazord in Fortnite.
Table of contents
How to get Megazord Mythic in Fortnite
![]()
You can earn the Megazord Mythic by being the first one to reach and interact with the Megazord Portal, otherwise known as Zordon. This character appears on the ground in a tube, acting as the portal you need to interact with to pilot Megazord. The massive amalgamation of the Power Rangers kneels nearby, waiting for the first player or team to interact with Zordon and assume control.
The very first player or team who reaches Zordon gets to witness an epic, cinematic cutscene transitioning them into Megazord with some fun scenes that place their character straight into the world of Power Rangers. Once these scenes are over, the fun begins, as you gain full control over this massive mechanical beast.
Where to find Megazord Portal in Fortnite
The Megazord Portal can spawn anywhere around the island, but you can pinpoint its location a bit ahead of when it actually spawns by looking for blue lightning in the sky. This special storm starts slightly before the message pops up, letting all players know that Megazord is spawning in, granting you a bit of a head start if you manage to catch it.
To prepare for this arrival and give yourself the best shot at becoming Megazord, I recommend stocking up on a few loot items early on, but mainly focusing on getting a quick traversal method. My vehicle of choice was a classic car, but a Roly Poly or Hammerhead Choppa works too.
![]()
Once you have your vehicle, drive up a mountain somewhere close to the middle of the island. If you're in a car, switch to the passenger seat once you're parked to turn it off. After this, spin around in circles to watch the sky for that lightning and take off toward the right location as soon as you spot it.
When does Megazord spawn in Fortnite?
Megazord doesn't spawn until a fair way into each round, specifically, after the second storm circle has formed. At this point, there are usually around 50 or fewer players left in the round.
How to use Megazord Mythic in Fortnite
Megazord's got four epic abilities you can use while commanding this boss. All of these powers are displayed in the bottom right corner alongside the button you need to press to activate them.
![]()
There's plenty more Power Ranger-themed fun to be had around the island after you're done playing as Megazord. Next, you might find and use the Mythic Blade Blaster, work on earning all Megazord rewards, and venture to all Power Ranger locations.

It's an exciting time to be a Pokémon fan, as the upcoming launch of Pokémon Legends Z-A is fuelling a Mega Evolution revolution. As such, the cards are getting in on the action, and we will soon have the latest set called Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution in the West.
Predictably, this expansion is all about Mega Evolution and features some amazing new cards based on old favorites, such as Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir, among many others. So we're flipping through all the information out there, and letting you know all about the best cards in this set.
Some of them will just look cool, some will have huge meta ramifications, but either way, you'll want to get your hands on them. If you're out grabbing yourself some Booster Packs, here are the 10 best cards in Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution.
The 10 best cards in Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution
![]()
Fighting Gong
A simple card but an effective one, Fighting Gong allows you to search for one Fighting-type Pokémon, or one Fighting-type Energy from your deck, and put it into your hand. This could be really good for getting a Riolu and getting your Mega Lucario ex online, as well as quickly amassing Energy so you can hit early and hit hard.
![]()
Premium Power Pro
It's pretty obvious why this one is here. Premium Power Pro gives an extra 30 damage to attacks from Fighting-type Pokémon. This brings Mega Lucario ex's Mega Brave up to 300 damage, and for only two Fighting-type Energy. Couple that with Fighting Gong, and Mega Lucario could be a real threat this season.
![]()
Lillie's Determination
A fantastic card for getting your deck online, Lillie's Determination allows you to shuffle your hand into your deck and then draw six cards. However, if you have all six prize cards remaining, you can draw eight instead. If you pull a bad first hand but pull Lillie's Determination, this is a phenomenal reset.
![]()
Wally's Compassion
Adding some versatility to the new Mega Pokémon ex, Wally's Compassion allows you to heal all damage, but at the cost of all attached Energy cards. It's a big gamble, but it helps bulky Pokémon like Mega Venusaur ex and Pokémon that can attack quickly, Mega Gardevoir ex.
![]()
Solrock & Lunatone
If you want to build up a reliable Fighting-type deck, Lunatone's Lunar Cycle lets you swap one basic Fighting-type Energy and draw three cards. Helpful for grabbing yourself support cards or basic Pokémon.
![]()
Mega Manetric ex
While Mega Manetric ex has two powerful attacks, it's the first, called Flash Ray, which matters. For two Electric-type energy, Flash Ray prevents all damage to Mega Manetric from basic Pokémon. This includes Mega Mawile ex and Mega Kangaskhan ex, making it a fantastic stall.
![]()
Mega Venusaur ex
Move energy quickly with Solar Transfer, then do massive damage and heal with Jungle Dump. Mega Venusaur ex may take a while to get online, but it could be a huge problem when it's finally in place.
![]()
Mega Mawile ex
Another interesting attack, Mega Mawile's Greedily Devour takes 80 Damage for every Prize card you've already taken. This makes it a great late-game sweeper, especially as its second attack - Big Bite - does more damage if your opponent has a damage counter already.
![]()
Mega Gardevoir ex
Another season, another Gardevoir. This one plays more of a stall and assist role, as Overflowing Wishes could be really helpful for other Psychic-type Pokémon on the bench. However, simply loading up your bench also powers up Mega Symphonia, meaning if you play your cards right, Gardevoir can hit for massive damage to control the game.
![]()
Mega Lucario ex
The new Mega Lucario ex is not only a great-looking card, but also fairly intimidating. It can use Aura Jab to set up other Fighting-type Pokémon, even another Mega Lucario, and while mega Brave can only be used once every two turns, doing 270 damage for two energy is seriously scary.

Dying Light The Beast empowers Kyle Crane with different skills that allow him to get one up on the undead he faces, and there are multiple choices.
Skills, or abilities, can be broken down into different branches. All but the Beast Mode abilities are unlocked and leveled up with the help of Skill Points. There are plenty of great choices when you're getting started, but some of them are simply better than the rest.
Which are the best Dying Light The Beast skills?
A large part of the answer to this question will depend on what type of player you are. Certain skills are excellent, but their use-case scenarios might be relatively niche. Others might have more universal usage, but they could be expensive to unlock. With all those factors in mind, here are my favorite picks when it comes to skills.
![]()
There are plenty of other skills that you can unlock as you gradually play the game. This also includes the Beast branch, which follows a separate system of unlocks. As a result, I haven't included them on my list as the process of their unlocks will be slower.

While everyone plays as Kyle Crane in the new adventure, having more of them on the same mission can make things easier for all. The game supports up to 4-player co-op, although the absence of crossplay is slightly disappointing.
Nevertheless, you can easily set up a lobby with your friends after unlocking co-op.

How to unlock co-op in Dying Light The Beast?
When you're just starting the game, the option to create a co-op lobby remains locked. You'll get the chance to play with friends after completing Safe Haven. This is the second quest of the campaign, and it took me slightly over an hour.
Completing the Safe Haven mission has more benefits, as you can redeem docket codes, have a safe place to sleep, and manage your stash. Docket codes are a great way to unlock new rewards.

Once you have unlocked the ability to play co-op, complete the following steps.

If you don't have enough members in your lobby, you can always use the Call for Help feature. This feature allows other players to drop in and help your team in a campaign. Similarly, you can do the same if someone else has made a call for help. Additionally, Call for Help works with private lobbies since others will be able to find your lobby when you ask for help.

The final DLC character for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has apparently leaked online, and everyone was right with their predictions that one famous super fighting robot would be joining the roster.
From physical copies of the game finding their ways to players hands ahead of the game's release on Sept. 25, inserts into the games has revealed that was well as the already known characters and worlds joining the game like Minecraft and Pac-Man, Capcom's Megaman series is the final part of the season one pass and as a loyal Blue Bomber supporter, I couldn't be happier with this news.
We don't have any further details on what will be included in the Mega Man set, including characters and stages, but we expect to receive a trailer prior to release or a reveal in the next week or so, showcasing a teaser of the content coming to the game.
There is a slight chance that this supposed leak is fake, so it's best to take any news with a grain of salt. But I am far too gone to think of anything better than racing as Megaman through Mega Man themed stages sometime after release. Maybe, if we are lucky, we will get Mega Man Classic and X variants, maybe even Zero! The opportunities are pretty endless, though I wouldn't be surprised if they keep to the classic characters like Rush, Roll, Dr. Wily, and Dr. Light.
Megaman was widely discussed as a likely character to join the roster from the community as a whole, even though there were no teasers or inklings regarding the chances. It was a gut feeling for many players, including myself, and it's great to see this possibly become a reality.
For now, though, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches worldwide on Sept. 25, or on Sept. 22 if you purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition for three days of early access. We recently had the opportunity to speak with the game's director, Iizuka-san, which you can view here.
