The Umamusume: Pretty Derby accelerated global schedule means the worldwide version will get the Half Anniversary event this week and new Career Scenario in early November 2025. Ahead of both, Cygames shared in-game announcements going over what to expect. There will be free Carats, free scout banner pulls, and special paid banners for the celebration, with those starting to appear on October 26, 2025. There's no lead-up celebration for Unity Cup: Shine On, Team Spirit though.
The Umamusume: Pretty Derby Half Anniversary event starts with a Countdown Login Bonus, Daily Free Scouts, and Celebration Missions on October 26, 2025. The login event will give free Carats each day. However, that announcement didn't note how many will be given out. With the Daily Free Scouts, there will be one free each day on the Pretty Derby Scout banner. The Support Card Scout will feature a free 10-pull every day for a limited time starting on November 6, 2025. The Part 1 Celebration Missions start in October 2025, with Part 2 showing up on November 3, 2025 and Part 3 on November 6, 2025.
As for the paid Half Anniversary event, there will be two three-star guaranteed scout banners. In each case, the 10th and final "pull" on each of the 10-pulls will be an SSR Support Card or a Trainee. Each one can only be done once. Both will be available on November 3, 2025. Each one will also include all possible characters or cards available prior to November 3, 2025.
As for the new Career Scenario in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, we only know Unity Cup: Shine On, Team Spirit will show up in "early November 2025." The two new characters who will show up as rivals in it are Bitter Glasse and Little Cocon. The former is voiced by Aino Shimada, and the latter is played by Saho Shirasu.
Here's the key art for that campaign and those characters:

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware stated that the Switch 2 version of Elden Ring, known as the Tarnished Edition, is delayed. It initially had a 2025 release window. That is now 2026. The announcement on social media noted this is due to "performance adjustments."
The publisher and developer didn't go over exactly what kinds of performance adjustments it will be making. However, the game did appear at some events over the past few months. During those, the builds seemed to show some performance issues including ones tied to FPS. People at Gamescom and PAX West 2025 could find it at booths like Nintendo's.
As a reminder, this will be a complete edition of the game when it does appear. People get the base title and Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. There's only one major new feature exclusive to this release. You can adjust how your mount Torrent looks.
As a reminder, here's that first announcement trailer that appeared during the April 2025 Nintendo Direct:
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is delayed and will now come to the Switch 2 sometime in 2026. The game is already available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, as is its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

At the end of September 2025, HoYoVerse confirmed we'd get a chance to test out its next game ahead of new announcements. Now the company shared an update on the Coziness Test for Petit Planet, confirming sign-ups are now live to take part in the Animal Crossing style life sim's closed beta. People can apply for the chance to take part in the PC and iOS trial on the official site. If picked, they'll get to take part starting on November 7, 2025.
Signing up for the Petit Planet Coziness Test is quite easy, especially if you already have a HoYoVerse account ahead of the closed beta. You do need to be on a PC or own an iPad or iPhone to take part. Applying means logging in, providing your IP and device details, and sharing personal demographic details. HoYoVerse also noted that someone who takes part might be contacted for insight into the experience or "potential test invitations."
There is also a brief YouTube Short teaser for this closed beta test. It doesn't show off any gameplay or details about what to expect. However, it does introduce another one of the neighbors who can move to our planets and become our friend. Her name is Esassani, and she looks like a pink rabbit.
Petit Planet will come to the PC and mobile devices, and the Coziness Test closed beta sign-ups are open ahead of it starting on November 7, 2025. There's no release window for the full game yet.

During the Kirby Air Riders Nintendo Direct 2, Masahiro Sakurai announced some of the additional features in the game like a returning Top Ride racing mode and new Road Trip mode that combines Air Ride, Top Ride, and City Trial. He also confirmed original Kirby Air Ride Courses will return and the game, for 19 total, and the game will be compatible with the GameCube controller. Swap Relay will also appear as a type of race where you use a different Machine with your rider for each lap or use it like a relay where another player controls it for each lap. A Kirby Air Riders Global Test Ride online demo is also planned.
Much of the early part fo the hour long presentation went over Top Ride in Kirby Air Riders. We can choose our character and their vehicle before going into a race, with up to eight people able to take part in each one. Free Controls and Steer Controls are options, with the controls inspired by Air Ride in Top Ride. The tracks are wider, and each person's Switch 2 shows where they are on the track. Items can also be collected while you race, like Drift Flames fire or a Kaboom bomb. Like Air Ride and City Trials, it can be played online.
In Road Trip, you pick a character, then go on a journey in Kirby Air Riders. You then take on challenges, like selecting a rival and then trying to beat them in certain situations. Items can be picked up, as can machines. It will also be possible to encounter different characters there.
Other details came up in the Kirby Air Riders Direct 2. There's an 8v8 Team Battle option for City Trial, for example. Legendary Machines return for that mode. When playing online, there is a hub area where you can watch matches or listen to music between rounds. Daroach, Lololo & Lalala, Marx, Rick, Rocky, Scarfy, Taranza, and Waddle Dee are confirmed to be playable characters too, though some secret ones won't be revealed ahead of launch. There will also be a Transform Star machine that can shift between star and bike forms if you Quick Spin. Air Ride and Top Ride both also have Time Attack and Free Run modes. City Trial also has a Free Run mode for exploring Skyah, which includes an underground parking lot with all the Machines to try. City Trial Field Events also appeared. Stadiums can be played outside of City Trial too, and one type will be a VS Boss stadium inspired by VS King Dedede.
As for the Kirby Air Riders Global Test Ride online demo, here are the dates and times:
Here's the full Kirby Air Riders Direct 2 looking at Top Ride and Road Trip modes and other features.

It's been a long time since Patapon graced the PSP with its mix of rhythm and platforming, and no game since has tried to do something similar. With Ratatan, some of its original developers have returned to make a spiritual sequel, adding roguelite and RPG elements to the mix. While I enjoy the concept, some of the added complexity when compared to Patapon's simplistic premise clash in ways that make me wish the game was a bit simpler. Despite this, early access means some of my caveats could be solved in the future.
After a brief introduction to the world and a few characters, I was thrust into a very confusing tutorial. Dialogue is automatic and oddly fast. At first, I was fine, but when enemies got added to the mix, I had no time to read the messages and simply input the button combinations to survive. This made my very first run very short and frustrating. It took me a few runs and practice to know what I was doing. In Ratatan your playable character has a different unique passive ability, and different Cobun units associated to it. This means that the cat Nyandola can have spear and lance Cobuns, but Keroronpa will have sword and shield, and bomb Cobuns instead, for example.
![]()
Having to maneuver your own Ratatan in battle and avoiding enemy attack adds a layer of complexity. It is deceptively difficult having to order your units around, ensuring their survival, as well as your own. Being a roguelite, I was expecting failure in my early runs, but not as fast as I was experiencing. This is somewhat offset by how quickly you get upgrade materials and gear, even in a short-lived run. I was able to obtain various critical upgrades rather quickly. I think my main problem with difficulty is how frustrating actually landing hits feels in Ratatan. You have few and simple commands; you can make your Cobuns follow you, attack, defend, or jump. Each command has a right time to use it, and it will become obvious as you play.
However, the attack command feels very imprecise, and sometimes Cobun will do an attack animation far away enough from the enemy, exposing them to damage. Maybe this is because of my character choice, Nyandola, being a mostly ranged character. My solution was to approach the enemy and input my moves, but this opened me to enemy damage. It doesn't feel very satisfying when you have to be very precise with your inputs, but enemies trample over you while doing so. Another issue I had was with visual clarity. Patapon has very stark, contrasting visuals that make it easy to look at. Ratatan has vibrant colors and varied environments. But when combat gets a bit frantic, the action is difficult to follow.
![]()
Despite my qualms with Ratatan its gameplay loop is solid. I believe that some of the issues I had with the game can be easily be solved in due time, and the developers are constantly rolling out updates. I still have to try many of its characters, and I'm hoping that one of them will fully click with my preferred playstyle. While I didn't try it, the online multiplayer looks to be a hoot. All in all, I'm very curious and eager to see the direction of the game.
Ratatan is currently in early access for the PC via Steam.

I was never a Neopets player growing up, but I have several friends who shrieked when I told them about this exciting announcement today.
The Flash-based web browser game was a massive title with kids in the 2000s, and now a big hit of nostalgia is coming in 2026 by way of Neopets: Mega Mini Games Collection, in both physical and digital editions, across PC and console. It's a big deal to them, so it might be to you, as well.
![]()
Mega Mini Games Collection includes 25 mini-games from Neopets (which are still available for free online), and an all-new 26th game called Starlight Symphony. The trailer for the news showcased some of the mini games in action, along with the official release date.
The physical edition of the game looks very cool, including the 26 mini games plus a "27th hidden mini game to discover," along with physical goodies like a copy of the game, a sticker sheet, art postcards, a double-sided poster, and a scratch card surprise packed in a shiny foil Neopets collector's bag.
There's also a story mode where you can "navigate a fully mapped Neopia...guided by Nyx, your Neopet companion and narrator, as you tackle challenges and uncover the world's charming lore." Additionally, the press release says you can link the game with Neopass for global leaderboards, earnable cosmetics, currency, and exclusive digital items,
Hey, I'm all for nostalgia these days, especially as we get older and can all better appreciate the fun things we grew up with that take us back to a more innocent and happier time in general, so I'm all for this collection and happy for anyone who's thrilled by the news.
Neopets: Mega Mini Games Collection is set to launch on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PS4 on March 26, 2026.

Roblox's Pixel Quest has a massive open world to explore and fight through with friends. There's also a bunch of Tiered and Legendary weapons, armor, equipment and abilities to find. Luckily, here are the Pixel Quest Wiki, Trello and Discord to get info on them all.
Pixel Quest Wiki, Trello and Discord Guide
![]()
Here are all the useful community links you'll need to stay informed why grinding and progressing in Pixel Quest:
Pixel Quest currently doesn't have a Trello but luckily we have a Wiki for you that archives everything in the game. It can serve as a comprehensive overview of all the mob and boss drops you want so that you can check stats and abilities. The Wiki has info on:
After checking out the Wiki I would also browse through the official Discord server. The community chats are a great place to find a team and I highly recommend progressing in a group, whether friends or randoms. The game isn't designed for a solo playthrough, though you could clear some areas solo if you are extremely overleveled. Just be careful since there is perma-death so it's easier in a group.
The Discord is also a place to catch up on the latest announcements, updates, patch notes and sneak peeks. I also love browsing the Discuss-Dungeons and Discuss-Builds channels since you can get some cool build ideas there. This mostly involves Legendary items since they have special abilities that can form strong builds. Speaking of which, above you can find a list of all legendary items.
That's it for my walkthrough through the Pixel Quest Wiki page, Trello board and Discord server. Check out our Pixel Quest codes for the latest free rewards.

Along with the Tiered item drops there are also Legendary items in Pixel Quest from bosses and dungeons. They appear in special golden chests which have a chance to drop after you defeat a boss. Here are all Legendary Items in Pixel Quest and the bosses they drop from.
Pixel Quest Legendary Item Drops Listed
Almost every boss and mini-boss can drop a Legendary item in Pixel Quest. Below you'll find all the currently available Legendary items and the bosses they drop from. I've also listed all item stats and special abilities. Currently, only Legendary items have special bonuses and abilities while Tiered items just come with the basic stats which get better with higher tiers.
That's it for my Pixel Quest Legendary item guide and drop locations. Check out our Pixel Quest codes for free rewards.

Marvel Rivals' first PvE mode, Marvel Zombies, went live this morning. It's very hit or miss, unfortunately, with the biggest miss being how buggy it is.
Inspired by the Disney Plus animated series of the same name, the mode tasks Blade, Magik, Thor, The Punisher, and Jeff the Land Shark with taking down the army of the undead zombies and their queen, Scarlet Witch, across the Midtown multiplayer map. Think Junkenstein's Revenge in Overwatch.
![]()
First: the good. You have long-term and short-term upgrades to grind for, with many power-ups available as you play through the mission each time. As Jeff, I got higher fire rate, more damage, and a bigger "magazine" for my water cannon as we advanced and progressed.
Speaking of Jeff, that little dude is busted in this mode. When the horde of zombies spawns in and you get utterly overwhelmed, Jeff's ultimate allows you to swallow them all up and basically eat them, clearing out the area where teammates may be getting devoured.
You can charge up your ultimates pretty quickly, and it's fun using your powers to dash, slice, and destroy your way through huge swaths of enemies that appear in a very high density. There's even a boss fight with Namor, and huge zombies using riot shields to contend with.
But then, tragedy struck. After finishing the eighth of nine possible encounters, my randomly-matched teammates and I became stuck. We finished the objective, but could not progress for some reason. We all walked around trying to trigger the next wave, but nothing happened. We were fully bugged out.
That's annoying in and of itself, but when we tried to leave, we were met with a message that we would be penalized for leaving early and be subject to restricted matchmaking times. Yeah, the PvE mode uses the same logic as Quick Match, so if you quit multiple times, you could be stuck unable to play for a while.
A Reddit user had a similar experience and posted their findings this morning, stating that their matches would bug out and not let them even start. Coupled with a few other Quick Match quits, they were placed into restricted matchmaking for eight hours and unable to play.
This is not ideal, obviously. My teammates and I were forced to quit the game, and if it happens again, we could also be subject to this matchmaking ban. I checked the Marvel Rivals Discord and it appears many players are experiencing this same progression-breaking bug in the same spot, so hopefully there is a fix deployed soon.
I guess this is a word of warning that you could also be hit with this ban, too, which is unfortunate considering the game's new limited time event and its rewards have several playable challenges related to the mode.

AdHoc Studio has brought a surprise treat for lovers of episodic tales in the form of Dispatch, and more content is coming soon.
The superhero-management game has been released with the first two episodes for all. Thanks to its interactive choices, you'll directly impact how the stories will play out. If you have finished the first two episodes, the only option is to wait for the next set of episodes to release.
Complete Dispatch episode release schedule
The total story of Dispatch will be broken into four parts. Every week, AdHoc will be releasing two episodes. We have two episodes (1 and 2) available at launch, and here are the dates of all future episodes.
If you've purchased Dispatch, you'll get access to all the episodes when they go live in the future (no additional purchase required for individual episodes). The couple of episodes currently available can be completed within two hours, but you can always retry and see the different outcomes.
![]()
AdHoc incidentally hasn't announced when (the exact time) the new episodes will be released. If the expected routine follows, the episodes should release at 7am PT/9am CT every week. However, we will update the guide with the official launch timings once confirmed by the developers.
If you have started the first episode and are wondering whether there's romance, there indeed is. While the romance options in Dispatch are limited (as of writing on Oct. 23), I expect more characters to be introduced in future episodes.

Much has happened in the world since Fallout: New Vegas came out. Trump has been president twice, two wars fought in Ukraine, an economic recession, and a global pandemic.
And Obsidian, too, has kept busy all these years, putting out all sorts of games, great and otherwise, largely RPGs. But at no point did the company launch a game as good as The Outer Worlds 2, especially when it comes to the quality of the writing.
Enamored as I am, allow me to regale you how the game has completely taken over my life.
Here's our full review.
Even in Arcadia
![]()
The Outer Worlds 2 places you in the shoes of an Earth Directorate Commander, tasked with infiltrating a base held by the dictatorial Protectorate. You are to retrieve a skip drive, a rare and powerful technology, from the Protectorate. One thing follows another and you're suspended in space, later pursuing those involved in the incident and stopping a looming calamity.
I won't reveal a lot about the story itself, since this game puts so much emphasis on narratives, which are certainly its strongest point.
What I will say, however, is that the world of Arcadia is absolutely awesome. Split between three factions—the Order, the Protectorate, and Auntie's Choice (this last being a new form of Spacer's Choice and its Moon Man)—Arcadia is a war-torn system, with each corner of its vast expanse caught in a power struggle between the trio.
Auntie wants more money, as corporatists are wont to; the Protectorate is crumbling and wishes to uphold its stranglehold on the colony; the Order and its mathematically-bound Grand Plan have their own vision for the place.
Every faction has its own aims and goals, which they'll stop at nothing to fulfill (unless, of course, you end up bridging the gaps between them and... steer things to a desirable outcome).
![]()
The sole flaw of this setting is it sort of forsakes the narrative uniformity of space, maintaining little commonalities between the various levels. Of course, each stage, and particular sections within the zones, is constructed in the image of its respective owner, but I couldn't help but feel transposed from one world to another. Which, I guess, is true to some extent.
There are a multitude of open zones to explore in Arcadia, with several moons, space stations, space ships, and so on. Every zone is filled with content, side quests, and interesting narrative threads to follow, which I wholeheartedly recommend you do. This game truly shines in its dialogues and stories, great and small, making the world of Arcadia feel eerily realistic.
The zones also aren't all too big, with space between each subregion being relatively short, cutting down on open-world emptiness we've come to expect from most games of the type.
But loading screens are present, and quite a lot, but thanks to modern tech you shouldn't feel any issues or lose much time waiting for stages to load (these loading screens are, by the way, not like Bethesda's, as individual structures and buildings can be accessed without them, unless they're a massive level on their own).
Choices, consequences
The world of Arcadia, and of The Outer Worlds 2, is predicated upon your decision-making skills. Whatever you do in this place will reflect, sooner or later, on either yourself or the broader world. This game is one of the most reactive I have ever played, with even your companions seamlessly integrating themselves into conversations when it's relevant, giving a lot of flavor and variety between each player's experience.
Speaking of companions, they're quite similar to what Obsidian did in Avowed, so if you've played that game all should be familiar to you. They have their own quests, stories, and narratives that are woven into your own character's arc, and you can decide to take up some shady friendships, quid-pro-quo relationships, or just form deep bonds.
The sole number of choices, some of which have significant consequences, allows for near-infinite replayability. Each character background opens up a new narrative and role-playing option, with innumerable dialogue choices tailored specifically to your person. You can, to a significant degree, immerse yourself in the character you've created, with their feeling like a proper part of a virtual reality, rather than as an observer.
I've noted this in my preview already, but having the chance to see how things unfold in the actual game apart from the intro cements the idea.
What's more, The Outer Worlds 2 goes a step beyond what most RPGs do. Instead of just providing you with extra stats and levels that give flat or percentage-based increases to whatever part of your character, you're rewarded with so-called Flaws, which are a unique set of perks akin to, well, the perks of New Vegas. If you do certain actions a lot, the Earth Directorate gives you a Flaw, which you can accept or reject; Flaws grant one bonus positive effect, but place a detrimental effect on you as well.
For example, if you eat a lot of food all the time, you can become gluttonous, able to heal more from food, but moving slowly in combat. Or, say, by crouching everywhere all the time, you can get quicker crouching speed, but your knees crack and alert nearby enemies. It's a fun and outright hilarious system, though the fact that you can reject flaws does end up kind of helping you to skip the "bad" ones.
Even so, it's a detailed, reactive, responsive, and rewarding perk system that I haven't seen since New Vegas, which lends itself to role-playing to an immense degree.
Additionally, all regular perks and stat upgrades you go for unlock an ocean of role-playing and gameplay options as any part of this game, and I mean any, can be tackled in multiple ways. All this depends on your RP and choice of stats, with the game significantly advising you to lean into a certain playstyle for your current character.
Furthermore, the game almost lets you talk your way out of every situation, which is something modern RPGs simply do not get. Yes we've had a few that dabbled with the idea, Baldur's Gate 3 being the best recent example, but The Outer Worlds 2 firmly stands as a close second.
It encourages storytelling and your building a true-to-life person and following their exploits. If at some point you want another, alternate story, make a new character and do it all again, but differently.
![]()
This is also a good moment to reflect on the combat, which in many ways is reminiscent of Cyberpunk 2077. There are tons of guns in the game, each manufactured by a certain brand, with the shooting feeling weighted, grounded, and having that "oomph" I'm always emphasizing in these reviews.
Depending on your playstyle, the gunplay may be more complex and dynamic, or it can be a complete afterthought; you can be a massive tank in melee, a sneaky ninja, a gunblazing maniac. You choose, it's your story, after all.
The companions also help out in battles, though I did notice them go down more than I would've liked, as the enemies far outscale them and their upgrades. Still, their stories are good enough and they can and will provide some cannon fodder while you do the actual grunt work.
Enemies can be a bit bullet spongy sometimes. Their damage also sometimes feels overtuned and too high, but since this is a numbers issue I'm confident it'll be ironed out by its full launch. The build I played was fine, and there's even a story mode that essentially disables enemy damage, allowing you to skip past combat almost entirely, if that's your purview.
Overall, the game is heavy on choices, decisions, and options, of which you'll have countless in just about every situation.
Unreal Engine used correctly
![]()
The Outer Worlds 2 is, hands down, the prettiest game I have played in 2025. The Unreal Engine 5 gets criticized all the time. I should know, I always do it. But in this case, and I hope in many cases to follow, UE5 is used to its absolute maximum potential, allowing for breathtaking scenes, set-pieces, and locations that would otherwise be impossible to make.
I cannot begin to describe the feeling of awe I constantly experienced from one location to the next. No matter if it were a massive monastery and temple built within and on top a mountain, a colossal array and factory, a big, wide, open field, the game always maintained a level of impeccable beauty, making it difficult to look away.
And it doesn't even come in exchange for much performance, either. On a power-limited Acer laptop (4060, 7735HS) I used the High preset with no upscaling, maintaining 30 to 45 fps constantly. This is by no means great, but I attribute most of the failings to my laptop itself, rather than the game. In truth, with desktop equivalents of this hardware, and even just better laptops, the game should run fine and up to 60 fps at medium-high without upscaling, which is more than I could ask for given how it looks.
![]()
The art direction in general is just off the charts. Obsidian outdid itself in more ways than one, taking inspiration from the steampunk genre and elevating it to a higher degree. The colors, the assets, the sheer artistry involved in creating every nook and cranny of this game, from loading screens and icons to the biggest locations, is out of this world, and I have to commend the team for what they've done here.
I don't recall the last time I've pressed F12 as many times, to be completely frank, and I do hope the devs introduce a photo mode eventually, as this game is ripe with screenshot opportunities.
So, as things stand, The Outer Worlds 2 is Obsidian's best game since Fallout: New Vegas, offering infinite replayability, tough moral dilemmas, interesting stories, and a chance to truly become your character and traverse the stars. Or, well, moons, but that's close enough.

The Haunted Floating Island Festival features all kinds of strange items you need to track down in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the trickier ones you'll be tasked with finding is Bony Fish.
You're only given this vague name as a clue and not much else to figure out what's needed. This is a key quest item for the Terror-rific Tree puzzle, so solving it is crucial if you want to earn all event prizes. Here's where to find Bony Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Table of contents
What are Bony Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
![]()
Bony Fish refers to Haunted Skeleton Fish in DDV. This one is extra tricky to work through, especially if you've already tackled the Ghostly Fox Critter puzzle, as you likely won't expect to need the same item for the Terror-rific Tree. The tree does want to consume the same food as the Ghostly Zero Fox, though, so you need to get some Haunted Skeleton Fish for it.
Bony Fish location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can find Bony Fish on the ground all around Zero's grave on The Haunted Floating Festival island. This special grave is tucked away in a corner near the Halloween Town Hall and the iconic spiral hill from The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's decently tough to locate, so here's a full breakdown of how to find it.
If you have the A Rift in Time DLC, you might be tempted to head over to Eternity Isle to fish up some regular Skeleton Fish. They don't count for the event puzzles, though, as the Haunted Skeleton Fish is tagged as a completely separate item despite having the same appearance. The only spot you can visit to find them is Zero's grave.
How often do Haunted Skeleton Fish respawn in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
![]()
There can be up to three Haunted Skeleton Fish present at any given time, and more spawn in about every 10 minutes. The respawn timer doesn't start until there are fewer than three present, so you must pick them up often to make room for more to appear.
Haunted Skeleton Fish is required to solve two event puzzles, so it's the most important resource to stock up on regularly. When you're done working on gathering it, you might tackle other key event missions like solving the Combination Pillar tile puzzle, getting Black Feathers from fearless birds, and finding Pale Blooms.
