Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, February 5, 2026 5:57 PM There is only so big a sigh I can let out at, well, everything that Ubisoft are doing currently. Last month, the company cancelled a number of its games, notably the Price of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, later proposing up to 200 job cuts at its Paris HQ, all of which led to a call for an international strike. Now, it sounds like Ubisoft have also cancelled an online Assassin's Creed game. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, February 5, 2026 4:29 PM I am very much of the opinion that for the most part, video games do not have a very good relationship with food. There are plenty of games where you can eat food and get some delicious HP back for it, but rarely is food the focal point narratively. So, ever since its announcement I've been quite excited about Dosa Divas, a turn-based RPG where you play as two sisters piloting a cute robot whose goal is to take down an "evil fast food empire." And I'm more excited now, as it has a release date! |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, February 5, 2026 2:56 PM Ah, live service games. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, February 5, 2026 12:56 PM I've never gelled well with the Sniper Elite series, as much as I do love a bit of goresploitation in my horror, it just has that kind of Mortal Kombat, slightly too realistic violence vibe about it that pushes it out of my comfort zone. But, I would still like to snipe! Sniping is always satisfying, that strange disconnect between your action and the reaction from a great distance away. So, Sniper Dan, a "family-friendly" hidden object game where you use a sniper to solve the problems of various townspeople, sounds like just what I'm after. |

Wright Flyer Studios announced Another Eden Begins, a Switch, Switch 2, and PC JRPG based upon the free-to-play mobile and PC game Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, will arrive in Summer 2026. It first appeared during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase on February 5, 2026, with the Steam page opening shortly after.
As Another Eden Begins is based upon the main campaign and story of The Cat Beyond Time and Space starting from Part 1, the concept may sound familiar. Aldo lives with his sister Feinne in Baruoki. Their lives are peaceful and happy until she is abducted by the Beast King Guildna. When he goes to save her, he's sent 800 years into the future. To save her (and the world), he'll need to head into the past, present, and future with allies. This latest version will also involve New Game+ and 10 endings.
Here's the official trailer:
WFS hasn't mentioned how much of the mobile experience will be present in this console and PC release. As a reminder, over the years multiple characters joined the roster and crossover events showed up. Some of the most recent ones included Chrono Crossand Final Fantasy IX, but Persona 5 and Atelier Ryzastorylines and units showed up too.
Another Eden Begins will appear on the Switch, Switch 2, and PC in Summer 2026, and the original free-to-play game is on PCs and mobile devices.

Good Smile Company finally confirmed the Genshin Impact Xiao Nendoroid is on the way, as the figure came up during the Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter presentation. Pre-orders for it will finally start in February 2026. He's the next one in the series to appear after Raiden Shogun.
This moment in the showcase involved an updated look on the progress of the Genshin Impact figure, showing us exactly how the Xiao Nendoroid will look when it debuts. The preview shows him holding the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, a five-star polearm that is considered his signature weapon in the game and often appears as his equipment in official art. In his left hand, he's holding his Yaksha mask. In general, the pose shown in the showcase trailer is the one used for his concept art. However, it didn't hint at any other accessories that might appear or additional face plates. Considering in some situations in-game he is depicted when wearing his mask, it is possible that could show up as one of his possible additional expressions.
Here's how he'll look:
And here's the full Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter showcase. Xiao appears very briefly toward the end of it, right ahead of the Wuthering Waves figure reveals.
This means only the Kaeya Nendoroid is still unaccounted for. Good Smile Company confirmed he was also still in the works back in June 2025 alongside Xiao. Other past ones, aside from Raiden Shogun, include Zhongli, Aether, Lumine, and Venti.
The Xiao Nendoroid pre-orders will open in February 2026, and Genshin Impact is available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices.

Good Smile Company shared three Danganronpa series Nendoroids during its Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter presentation, and one of them is the first figure of an Ultra Despair Girls character. The other two are Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony cast members. All three are so early in development that only concept art appeared. They'll follow the more recent releases of fellow series staples Hajime Hinata and Kokichi Ouma.
In the case of the Danganronpa V3 folks, we already knew one of them was coming. One is the lead character Shuichi. He's in his normal Ultimate Detective outfit, complete with hat, in his concept art. Kaede Akamatsu is a new reveal. The Ultimate Pianist is also in her uniform.
With Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, Good Smile Company went with a variant of an existing character. Servant [Basic] is based on Nagito Komaeda's appearance in that game. As such, the Ultimate Lucky Student is wearing a slightly different outfit, has a collar with chain around his neck, and his hair is a bit different than usual.
Here's how the concept art for all three looks:
And here's the official reveal in the showcase:
The Shuichi concept art and reveal came up back when Good Smile Company put out the call for feedback regarding Danganronpa character Nendoroids. At the end of 2025, it asked people which folks from the series they'd like to see join the collection. In that poll, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls people weren't an option, but folks from the first three mainline games were. The results of that survey weren't shared, so we don't know which people were the most requested.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Kaede Akamatsu and Shuichi Saihara Nendoroids and a Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Servant [Basic] figure are in development.

During the Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter showcase, Good Smile Company revealed six Hatsune Miku figures and two Kaito ones. These are all in varying stages of development. However, the pre-orders are already open for the "Cantarella" Miku and Kaito ones ahead of their July 2026 debut in Japan and Q4 2026 worldwide release.
The "Cantarella" Miku and Kaito figures are both based on their appearances during the song of the same name. Each one comes with three face plates and accessories like masks. The Miku also comes with a white rose if you order direct through Good Smile Company. She costs ¥8,000/$50.99, while he costs ¥7,500/$47.99.
Here's the music video for "Cantarella."
And here are official pictures of the Nendoroids to compare:
DecoMiku Light and Darkness Nendoroids are also in development. Both are fairly far along, as painted prototypes appeared in the showcase. They'll be on display at DecoMiku Live in Japan on February 14, 2026. That's followed by looks at the Miku with You 2025 prototype, a confirmation that Nendoroid Large Mikudayo will be sold at Wonder Festival 2026 Winter, the Nendoroid Large Sakura Miku prototype, and the Kaito "Guilty" Nendoroid Doll.
Here are all the official images of those reveals. Since they all appeared in the painted prototype phase, we should see pre-orders for all of them fairly soon.
Here's the full Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter showcase, and the Hatsune Miku and Kaito Nendoroids appear at the very beginning.

Two new Culdcept games are on the way, with Culdcept the First heading to the PC and Culdcept Begins showing up on the Switch, Switch 2, and PC. While the latter first appeared in the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase February 2026 montage, the former only appeared when the Steam page launched.
Culdcept Begins is the entry with a confirmed release date. That will show up on consoles on July 16, 2026. The Steam page for that only shows a 2026 window, so it is unknown if that will also be available at the same time. The page for Culdcept the First only notes "coming soon" and doesn't even mention if it will show up in 2026.
Both games feature similar gameplay, as they are board games that also blend in JRPG, TCG, and creature-collecting mechanics. You build up a deck of cards that includes monsters, spells, and items. Your goal as a Cepter is to defeat enemies and maintain territory on the board by installing your creatures in spots. It can almost feel a bit similar to Itadaki Street or Monopoly in terms of the conquering parts of the board. Culdcept the First is an updated release of the classic game, which adds features like quick saves and loads, bonus pack reward adjustments, and a rewind feature.
Here's the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase montage that included Culdcept Begins clips.
And you can see the first Culdcept the First trailer below.
Culdcept Begins will come to the Switch and Switch 2 on July 16, 2026, with a PC version confirmed. Culdcept the First is also on the way to PCs.

The Good Smile Company Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter showcase involved two Silent Hill figure announcements, as Nendoroids of Hinako Shimizu and Fox Mask appeared. Each of them is very early in development. As such, there's no estimated pre-order or release window for either one of them. They'll join existing figures like the Pyramid Head one and Robbie the Rabbit Nendoroid.
Since Hinako and Fox Mask are so early in development, only chibi concept art of both characters appeared in the showcase. She's shown in her school uniform. There's no weapon appearing in her teaser image, but in-game she wields quite a few options as she survives the onslaught of otherworldly enemies. Meanwhile, Fox Mask is only shown wearing his mask. However, it's possible the final option will allow us to pose him without it on.
Here's the full Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter showcase:
We'll be seeing more Silent Hill f news soon. There's a crossover collaboration between it and the Fatal Frame 2 remake. That will mean special cosmetics in both games.
Silent Hill f is on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Nendoroids of Hinako Shimizu and Fox Mask are in development.

We've seen Dragon Quest VII quite a few times, what with its PlayStation debut, 3DS remake, and now the Reimagined release headed to consoles and PCs worldwide. Each one's offered a little something different, with Square Enix this time streamlining some elements, adding new content elsewhere, and going with a design direction that involved physical dolls being used as main character models. To learn more about this latest take on the tale, Siliconera spoke to Producer Takeshi Ichikawa about the project, as well as the new Dragon Quest Eden manga.
Jenni Lada: This is the third time we'll be seeing Dragon Quest VII again. Which elements of the PlayStation and 3DS versions did you prioritize when preparing Dragon Quest VII Reimagined?
Takeshi Ichikawa: Although many aspects of this title have been completely reimagined from the ground up, its core narrative and the original version's unique atmosphere remain intact.
One of the already shared Dragon Quest VII Reimagined updates and changes is the new segment with an older version of the character Kiefer returning to the party. How did the team decide this would be a good narrative direction and implement it into the game?
Ichikawa: Kiefer makes a certain decision partway through the story, and because we believe many players were eager to see the developments that follow, we decided to add it as a new episode.
It was confirmed that there will be streamlined elements. How did you determine which scenarios to omit in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined and how does this then influence and alter the overall plot?
Ichikawa: In our effort to streamline the overall story progression and provide a more engaging narrative, we decided to cut subplots that have little or no direct relevance to the main scenario. However, this wasn't merely a matter of trimming. We reimagined the experience to deliver fresh scenarios even for players who have already played Dragon Quest VII, incorporating changes such as converting certain scenarios into optional content that can be played at any time after the stone tablet is assembled, as well as adding new episodes, including the adult Kiefer scenario.
The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined class system will allow character multiclassing via moonlighting with another job. How did you ensure this would be balanced, and does this mean the class skill acquisition will be more like the PlayStation version than the 3DS remake?
Ichikawa: As the story progresses in this title, each character can equip two vocations simultaneously. With the addition of this moonlighting feature, each vocation was rebuilt to better highlight its unique identity. While the hybrid skill system from the PlayStation version is not included, the spells and abilities learned in each vocation have been completely overhauled. We hope you enjoy this revamped vocation system, which offers a distinctly different experience from before.
We know dolls for the main cast of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined were made, but did you also construct dolls for any other major characters? Also, what will happen to the dolls now that the game is finished?
Ichikawa: Dolls were created for the six party characters, while other characters and monsters were produced directly as in-game models. The dolls are currently on display at various events.
The Dragon Quest VII manga will return with Dragon Quest Eden in Japan. Did the Reimagined team do any consulting work on the adaptation?
Ichikawa: While we have shared details of how this title has been reimagined with the artist and the manga editorial team, the manga adaptation is being produced as an independent work in its own right. We hope you will enjoy each version for what it offers.
What did you learn from the Dragon Quest VII Reimagined development process and how would you apply that to future games in the series and Square Enix titles?
Ichikawa: While I cannot speak about other games, I believe that developing this title taught me both the challenge and the appeal of preserving the original's strengths while reimagining it as a modern game.
The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined remake is available on the Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 5, 2026.

Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 is one of the most beloved games of all time. One so powerful I'd wager it'll be capable of opening minds long ago closed, or at least guide its fans to a game it owes a lot to that never got its due.
2024 saw the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VIII, and you're completely excused not to have noticed, as Square Enix seemingly didn't, either. The company famous for celebrating its past by remaking Final Fantasy VII over not one but three times pretty much ignored the important anniversary date of a game that sold almost nine million copies on its original run. That's just a million short of 7's numbers, making it the original PS1's fourth best-selling game of all time.
I'd never ask for a remake of VIII. I believe it remains a timeless masterpiece, so just any kind of celebration would've been in order. We didn't get a deserving one, or not officially, at least. Then came 2025, and with it a JRPG-style game from France, no less, that seemed to bear a few spiritual resemblances not just to the genre at large, but to Final Fantasy 8, specifically. It has many elements outsiders would easily shrug off as coincidental, but that anyone who'd grown up with VIII would never be able to unsee.
Final Fantasy VIII's mechanics gave life to Expedition 33. Yes, even the wilder ones.
Mention Final Fantasy 8 alone in the woods, and you'll hear the echo of a fan claiming its mechanics suck. The creepy voice has a point, especially when it comes to forcing players to choose between having magic equipped to make characters stronger or using said magic and slowly weakening your party. Still, that's far from the only new thing FF8 tried in terms of gameplay.
With the trigger mechanics, which challenge players to press R1 at the right time for a crit, Square Enix stumbled onto a natural evolution of turn-based combat. Vagrant Story did similar things. Still, one did poorly with fans, the other didn't sell, so the company ditched anything of the sort for Final Fantasy IX and X, and only briefly played with it in XII's Quickenings. The series would make a complete pivot into action territory with Final Fantasy XV and XVI, forcing these mechanics, rife with potential, to spend 25 years on the back burner. It took Expedition 33 to unearth them for players to finally realize Final Fantasy VIII had excellent gameplay ideas and that the problem was, perhaps, that it didn't go even wilder with them.
Final Fantasy VIII's junction system also caught its fair share of criticism, supposedly for being too complex. Still, it's actually a much simpler version of Expedition 33's Pictos and Lumina system, which nobody is complaining about.
Even with the dark shadow of fan hate forever looming over it, there's little doubt regarding the quality of FF8's minigame, Triple Triad, which many consider the best of all time. All of Expedition 33's minigames are original enough. They're all pretty fun, but none are as engrossing as Triple Triad. Instead of even trying to upstage it, E33 instead makes a hilarious reference to "Double Dyad."
Expedition carries Final Fantasy VIII's will to tell a bonkers story
Much like FF8, Expedition 33 also features several plot twists, some that completely shift your perspective on the entire game midway through, but, unlike FF8's wild turns, Expedition 33's were mostly met with praise. I agree that E33 does a better job with its most explosive reveals by tying them directly to the characters and the feelings we've developed toward them (rather than aiming for a mind-blowing effect).
Still, many elements are quite similar and, without spoiling anything, I'm willing to bet the very different response also lies largely in how much audiences have matured in their reading of video game narratives.
So much is up for debate, like how the effects of an impactful event in the world of FF8 called time compression might've inspired the looks of Expedition 33's Lumière. Most of this, however, is a fact. Guillaume Broche, the director of E33, other key developers, and even the co-main voice actor, Ben Starr, have cited FF8 as their favorite title, and looking for all the inspiration taken almost doubles as another cool minigame.
Both games understand beauty like no other
One little-talked-about characteristic of FF8 is its ability to suck you into a world of unparalleled coziness. The visuals and music on display remain gorgeously welcoming so long after its release, and were just otherworldly back when it came out. Do you enjoy E33's amazing soundtrack? FF8 was the first title in the series to employ an actual orchestra, and, I believe, one of the few consensus points about it is that it has the best soundtrack out of all Final Fantasy games.
Its visuals are quite on par. Though they've been surpassed on a technical level by the most recent games in the series, their varied, complex, but never uninviting artistry is yet to be surpassed. It's just nearly impossible to find an area in FF8 that you wouldn't want to visit in real life.
War remains ever-lingering throughout most of FF8, and the game's beautifully-realized world does the best job a game ever could to inspire players to want to save it. A stark contrast to most classic Final Fantasy games, whose worlds are already crumbling by the time play starts.
One of the main reasons E33 excels is that it learned lessons from so many of the best games, yet everything still feels fresh and original. It has Final Fantasy VIII to thank for a lot of it, a game that tried so much new stuff, succeeded at more than it gets credit for, but seemingly failed at many other things.
Fittingly to its wild time-travel plot, one could argue Final Fantasy 8's devs left behind a time capsule they somehow knew would only be correctly interpreted by the French.

Starfield came out in September 2023, the first AAA title out of Bethesda Game Studios since Fallout 76. To say it didn't hit it off with folks would be an understatement, but it did manage to grow a significant following in subsequent months and years, with many eagerly awaiting the studio to put the game out on the PlayStation 5 and end its Microsoft exclusivity (Windows and Xbox).
And that day, a stellar day indeed, could be just around the corner.
As Kotaku reports (via PPE), reputable leaker Graczdari, who previously leaked the PS5 release date of Microsoft Flight Simulator, supposedly got their hands on Starfield's PS5 launch day as well, April 7. It could also arrive alongside a massive overhaul to the game, the rumored 2.0 update, but that is also unconfirmed at the time of writing.
The game has spent years stuck on Windows and Xbox as a first-party Microsoft title, though as the company slowly moves ever closer to universal multiplatformity, so Starfield, too, is more likely to drop on the PS5. Microsoft has already shipped big first-party games to Sony's platform, such as Forza Horizon 5 and Microsoft Flight Simulator to name just a couple, and it's highly likely we're going to see Starfield ported sooner rather than later.
Bethesda also plans to ship a new DLC, Terran Armada, but no concrete information about it exists at the moment. Starfield hasn't fared so well with players, and its first DLC, Shattered Space, sits at Mostly Negative reviews on Steam, with many purchasing it because a popular Star Wars mod for the game requires it to run.
Bethesda could bundle the rumored 2.0 update and the new DLC with its PlayStation 5 port, making a big supernova story out of it, but given how poorly it has been received time and again, I honestly fail to foresee what the company will do. The port will come, but how and in what capacity is anyone's guess.

Call of Duty grinders, the wait for competitive play is just a bit longer, but it's well on the way.
Ranked Play in Black Ops 7 was not available at launch, but it's coming before you know it. When it arrives, multiplayer gamers will have all sorts of ranks and rewards to earn as they level up and climb the competitive ladder.
Here's everything we know about Ranked Play in BO7, including when to expect it in 2026.
When is BO7 Ranked Play coming out?
Ranked Play will be available as part of season two of BO7, starting on Feb. 5. But the mode was not available right at launch, and is likely delayed a few hours.
This is a common occurrence through Ranked Play in the past few CoD games. There's usually a downtime period before Ranked Play becomes fully available at the start of each season, and the launch of season two is no different.
Last year, when Ranked Play launched in Black Ops 6, it did not go live until several hours after the season began, later into the afternoon and early evening. This is possible with BO7, too, but Treyarch hasn't said anything on the subject yet. Basically, sit tight, and Ranked Play will go live some time on Feb. 5.
Season two will also bring everything that CoD players expect from seasonal drops, like new weapons, new maps, new Zombies experiences, new Warzone modes, and even updates for the PvE Endgame activity. But Ranked Play is where the hardcore players will be looking to flex.
Keep in mind, though, that you will need 50 wins in multiplayer matches to unlock Ranked Play when it becomes available. So until then, sweat it out in any multiplayer mode to grab the wins you need to play Ranked.
There are several rewards to be earned in Ranked Play, like skins, calling cards, camos, and more. Stay tuned and the mode should be live before you know it.
Update on Feb. 5 at 12:45pm CT: Ranked Play is now live. Go get sweaty.

You can include a wide variety of items in this evolution. I have included cards that are best fitted for the offered upgrades.
It's a decent evolution with pretty good stats and playstyles. Some of the upgraded cards should be eligible for future evolution chains. That said, the cap on defending and pace stats makes the evolution slightly less optimal than what it could have been.

I've had it. YAPYAP has pushed me over the edge. Friendslop is running rampant in the indie horror sphere, spreading with no sign of stopping.
I was never one to jump on the friendslop bandwagon or refer to games of its kind in this derogatory way, but there's been a recent and quite drastic shift in indie horror games that I can no longer ignore. And sadly, it's thanks to Lethal Company.
A fan of horror games since adolescence, I started paying attention to the indie side because of PewDiePie's Amnesia: The Dark Descent Let's Play. Oh, things were far simpler back in 2010. Amnesia was just the start, Five Nights at Freddy's followed, and many have since come and gone, but the virality of a game has grown more and more important in recent years.
Released back in October 2023, Lethal Company paved the way for many to come as a delightful and highly entertaining co-op title that was both as creepy as it was hilarious. It soared to stardom on YouTube and Twitch, and had its moment in the spotlight with every update until the Company Cruiser got added in July 2024. Yet, Zeekerss's fantastic horror game with clever AI and eerie ambience has since been replaced by the challenging R.E.P.O. Unlike its competitors, R.E.P.O. held onto a strong identity even with similarities to LC. But it was the likeable and adorable semibots and the psychics-based mechanics (plus frequent updates) that pushed it into the top spot.
It's similar to what came of the cancelled Silent Hills project titled, P.T. Many, including games you've likely heard of and played (e.g., Layers of Fear and VISAGE) were directly inspired by a demo that singlehandedly created a subgenre of horror. But the problem with a pioneer is how oversaturated the market becomes following a new idea. Creators latch onto a popular idea as if it's their lifeline.
While SCP: Containment Breach offered full player autonomy, scary monsters, engaging level design, and multiple endings, the influx of recent co-op horrors does nothing of the sort. Titles outside of LC and R.E.P.O. have tried their hand at going viral, but few make it. There's Murky Divers, Nuclear Nightmare, Emissary Zero, Forsaken Frontiers, PILGRIM, YAPYAP, and many, many more—all different variations of one another. But where these games often stumble is their bugginess.
Friendslop exists as a setting and a single gimmick, where the formula is copied and pasted over and over until you forget what made the original so damn good. Even Outlast tried its hand at co-op horror with Trials, and it completely lost what made the original absolutely terrifying—the claustrophobic camcorder.
It appears as though our attention span has been trained to either be satisfied with mediocre (as seen across all media) or be content in supplying entertainment with our own banter that comedically pairs with jankiness and bugs. The fun lies in creating it with friends or watching your favorite streamer play it. And where's the fun in playing alone when the game isn't scary and lacks any real danger outside of crashes?
I've seen and played them all. The problem with friendslop is that they have genuine potential, but purposely limit themselves because the goal is to simply go viral, make a ton of money, and move on to the next project or disappear altogether. Outside of Lethal Company, R.E.P.O., and even Phasmophobia, most co-op horror lacks creativity. I don't expect original ideas anymore, but perpetual rip-offs are just as frustrating when playerbases continue to eat it up because of their favorite content creator, or they're bored because a better title hasn't seen an update in months.
Co-op horror was a rarity in the past. Left 4 Dead stood alone, apart from experimental games like White Noise in the 2010s. Today's quota-driven games are helped by random generation, but level design, mechanics, and enemy AI are still important. Updates are needed to retain player attention, and you can't just ship a broken mess and expect to go viral because proximity chat is entertaining when your friend gets cut off mid-scream. I'm sick of co-op horror titles praying you'll be happy because its core concept reminds you of the best in the subgenre and little else.
I would love to see the return of couch co-op and genuinely scary games where friends make getting through the nightmare a little easier. Because friendslop continues to go viral and showcase how impeccable graphics aren't needed to make an amazing game, many developers tag along, believing they can come up with something without having the creativity or drive to do so (beyond getting that big paycheck).
Really, who can blame them for trying?

Another camo grind arrived in Black Ops 7, this time for Call of Duty: Warzone gamers who want to acquire some awesome animated Mastery camos for their new guns.
BO7's season one update added over 30 new weapons for Warzone players to use and unlock, and each has a number of camos to equip to any number of them once the challenges are completed. These challenges range from simple (get eliminations with the gun) to complex (get headshots or certain other types of kills), but they can be accomplished in any of Warzone's free-to-play experiences.
Here are all of the current camos and challenges to unlock them in Warzone for BO7 weapons.
Table of contents
All Warzone BO7 camos
Warzone camos are separated into three categories: Military, Special, and Mastery. Here's an explanation on how they all work and how you can get them.
All Warzone BO7 Military camos
The first camos to unlock are the nine Military camos, which require getting a certain number of eliminations with each gun. They are all the same for specific weapon types, like these for assault rifles:
All Warzone BO7 Mastery camos
The four main animated Mastery camos for Warzone in BO7 are Golden Damascus, Starglass, Absolute Zero, and Apocalypse. Once you unlock all of the Military and Special camos on a gun, you can complete these challenges to unlock the Mastery camos:
Warzone BO7 camos and challenges
After Military camos and before Mastery camos, there are three Special camos and challenges for every gun and weapon in the game from BO7. Here's how to unlock them all once you've gotten all of the Military camos.
Assault rifle camo challenges
SMG camo challenges
Shotgun camo challenges
LMG camo challenges
Marksman Rifle camo challenges
Sniper Rifle camo challenges
Pistol camo challenges
Launcher camo challenges
Melee camo challenges
Special weapon camo challenges
Weapon Prestige camos
Additionally, each of the new Warzone weapons from BO7 has three unique Weapon Prestige camos apiece. These special camos are unlocked at Weapon Prestige 1, Weapon Prestige 2, and Max Prestige for each individual weapon in the game, so be prepared to grind if you want them all.

It's time once again to get the squad together to farm lobbies for extravagant gun camos. It's Call of Duty season, baby!
Black Ops 7's robust multiplayer offering includes dozens of weapons, new and remastered maps, and mercifully, a reduction in skill-based matchmaking. This may make the camo grind easier than ever, but there's still a lot to be done to unlock all four Mastery camos this year.
Here's all the info you need on all of BO7's multiplayer camos and how to get them.

There are nine Military camos to grind through before unlocking the good stuff. The challenges are the same or very similar per every gun in the game. For example, ARs and SMGs are headshots while melee weapons are just kills, and shotguns are point-blank kills.
All BO7 multiplayer Mastery camos
The four major Mastery camos in BO7 multiplayer are Shattered Gold, Arclight, Tempest, and Singularity. The challenges to unlock each of these are the same for every gun, and they only become available after all Military and Special camos are unlocked for that gun:

The undead just do not stay dead, do they? But at least they bring loot! Call of Duty's Zombies mode is back in Black Ops 7, and there's a whole lot of camos to earn in it.
Starting with Ashes of the Damned, BO7's first round-based Zombies map, new content for the co-op mode will be added throughout the year. But on day one, there's a ton of stuff to unlock and earn, including four Mastery camos and several others for the game's 30-plus weapons.
Here's everything there is to know about BO7's Zombies camos and how to unlock them.

All BO7 Zombies Military camos
Every weapon has the same nine Military camos that can be unlocked, and the challenges for them are the same or similar across all weapons (for example, for shotguns, they are Point Blank kills instead of Critical Kills like for assault rifles or SMGs). Here's an example of what you need to do:
All BO7 Zombies Mastery camos
Each mode in BO7 has Mastery camos. The four major Mastery camos for BO7 Zombies are Golden Dragon, Bloodstone, Doomsteel, and Infestation. The challenges to unlock each of these are the same for every gun:

For the first time ever in CoD, Black Ops 7 has a whole wealth of new weapon camos to earn via the game's campaign. Not only that, but once the campaign missions are done, the brand new 32 player co-op PvE mode Endgame unlocks and the real camo grind can begin.
Here's all the info you need on all of the camos in BO7's co-op campaign and Endgame mode, including four new Mastery camos.

All BO7 Endgame Mastery camos
The four major Mastery camos in BO7's campaign are Molten Gold, Moonstone, Chroma Flux, and Genesis. The challenges to unlock each of these are the same for every gun and they only unlock once you have all Military and Special camos for a particular gun:

Every time I open up Steam, I cursorily peruse the store and check out if there's anything worth spending my hard-earned cash on, only to wind up not buying anything because prices above $10 are daunting and scary. And then I go and order a $9 pizza with a $2 delivery fee on top of the service fees they love to charge.
Instead, I could have dished out the dosh on Divinity: Original Sin 2, currently on sale for around $12, and that's for the Definitive Edition that includes everything. Not only that, but I could have also given out a couple of extra bucks to buy the entire series, starting from Larian's first Divinity title, which would wind up spawning a host of iconic video games, of which Original Sin 2 is certainly the best.
The franchise is currently on sale on Steam, with some of the titles going for less than $1. It is a series that started Larian off as a video game development company, helping them gain the necessary experience to start reshaping the industry as a whole. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is their finest work if I do say so myself, rivaling the quality of Baldur's Gate 3 but offering mechanics, gameplay, and depth that the DnD-based title couldn't pull off.
That isn't to say Baldur's Gate 3 isn't a modern masterpiece because it is. We're just comparing a shiny diamond to one with a teeny-tiny bit of clouding.
The sale is set to last over the upcoming weekend, ending on Feb. 9. So, you might as well skip pizza tonight and grab this while it's still hot, because no cheese pull or sauce will give you as lasting a satisfaction as Larian Studios' crown jewel.
Oh, and Larian's making a new Divinity game, so now's a good time to get started with the series.
