Data from the leak suggests that while the RTX 5080 might not beat the last-gen flagship RTX 4090 on performance, it's at least a little faster than the RTX 4080 Super. The RTX 5080 release date isn't far off now, with the RTX 5090 set to be the best graphics card you can buy if you want the fastest performance possible. In contrast, the RTX 5080 sits in a more curious position. The Undead Unluck manga is now over, as its run ended with chapter 239 on January 26, 2025. That installment is available to read in English via MangaPlus and Viz Media.
The premise of Undead Unluck is that it is set in a world where some people have special powers. Fuuko Izumo's brings unfathomably bad luck to anyone she touches, with that increasing based on how close she is to the person. As she's about to ensure nobody will ever suffer because of her again, she meets Undead. He can survive any situation and can't die. The two end up teaming up, since she doesn't have to worry about him dying because of her. The series initially starts with the two being hunted down as a result of their powers, then joining with a group that makes the most of their abilities for the sake of the world.
Chapter 239 of Undead Unluck deals with what happens after the major antagonists are dealt with and the world is safe. It involves everyone gathering together for a rather special event. As both MangaPlus and Viz Media always offer the first three and last three chapters of a series free-to-read, people can catch up.
We will still end up seeing more of Undead Unlock now that the manga ended. Viz is releasing physical copies of the chapters. Volume 18 debuted on January 21, 2025, and consists of chapters 152-160. 24 volumes are out in Japan now, with the latest one covering chapters 206-214. David Production and TMS Entertainment worked on an anime adaptation that ran for 24 episodes on Disney+ and Hulu. However, there's more of that on the way. A one-hour OVA is in the works. That will air at the end of 2025.

The Undead Unluck manga is now over. Viz Media will release volume 19 on April 15, 2025, then continue to release physical copies after that in the coming months. The anime adaptation is on Disney+ and Hulu, and a one-hour special will air in 2025.

Square Enix and BlackMilk announced a new collection of FFXIV clothing like shirts, skirts, and dresses based on the game. The company will open sales for the collection on its official site at 1pm PT/4pm ET on February 3, 2025.
There will be 12 pieces of clothing inspired by the game in the BlackMilk FFXIV collection, though we only know what five pieces look like thanks to the official site and what Square Enix shared on the Lodestone. There will be both a dress and a pair of pants based on the Hydaelyn map. That dress is confirmed to be made of velvet. One set features the Cactaur monster mascot, which consists of a knit top and matching skirt. Another dress is black and resembles one which Y'shtola might wear, but it features all of the MMORPG's job icons in lace. Finally, a Mothercrystal t-shirt was shared.
We'll get to see more of the collection before its February 2025 debut. BlackMilk will share a lookbook on its site at 7pm PT/10pm ET on January 28, 2025. After that, all of the items will appear online at 3pm PT/6pm ET on January 30, 2025. When the preview happens, we'll also be able to wishlist items to make shopping easier on February 3, 2025.
Here's how all of the items revealed so far will look. The t-shirt is confirmed to be only available in unisex sizes.
Note that all of this comes up before the Letter from the Producer Live LXXXV. That is set to air on February 7, 2025. However, it is possible Naoki Yoshida might reference or highlight the new merchandise then as well.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the FFXIV BlackMilk collection of clothing inspired by the Square Enix game will launch on February 3, 2025.

Sunrise started publishing the third and final arc of the Mobile Fighter G Gundam Gaiden side stories. It also newly revealed Master Junior, the son of Tohofuhai Master Asia, as the new protagonist of this arc. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The third arc takes place in the Future Century year 72—twelve years after the events of the original G Gundam show in FC 60. In this universe, the Gundam Fight tournament is being put on hold while countries around the world work together to clean the Earth from DG Dust that had polluted the planet during the last tournament.
Before the start of the new arc, Sunrise revealed that Master Junior had studied under Sai Saici, who piloted Neo China's Dragon Gundam in FC 60. He will now travel around the world to search for Domon Kasshu. The new protagonist believes Domon knows the location of the Eastern Gem, which is said to host the secret technique of the School of Master Asia. During his journey, he will also encounter Eichi, the new heroine who notably carries a giant abacus.
The final arc for G Gundam Gaiden, which takes place in the future, marks a departure from the first two arcs that covered additional events during the 13th Gundam Fight tournament in FC 60. The first arc, which launched in July 2024, depicted the fight between Domon Kasshu, Master Asia, and the Shuffle Alliance against the new Dark Shuffle group led by Master Asia's fellow disciple, Dokko Kyuhai. The second arc added more details to the background of Schwarz Bruder, the representative Gundam Fighter of Neo Germany.
Mobile Fighter G Gundam Side Stories: The East is Burning Red is immediately available to read in web novel format in Japanese. Sunrise will continue publishing new chapters of the novels every Friday.

Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos feels like an idea entirely born out of a poorly fleshed out concept in the previous Neptunia game. In Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution, Neptune inexplicably has a motorcycle. So now, let's make an entire Neptunia game about motorcycles!
Since that's where all this seemingly began, let's remember how well that motorcycle worked in the previous game. In short, it did not. It was an optional element to dungeons and every time I attempted to use it, I found it frustrating to use. Handling was awful, especially at high speeds, and the dungeons were rarely, if ever, built to accommodate a motorcycle being driven through them.
Not a great start for Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos then. However, what makes this game different is that the motorcycle is the point. As a result, the handling has been tweaked (mostly) and the levels are much more suited to being driven through. However, it's also a conceptual oddity that strays a long way from the rest of the series.
Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos places you in the wide socks of Uzume, the Neptunia universe's personification of the Sega Dreamcast. She finds herself waking up with no memories and an undying love for Dogoos – imagine Dragon Quest slimes with dog faces. However, she quickly realizes how weird this love is and snaps herself out of it, jumps on a motorcycle and heads out to find the other games console goddesses to see how they're holding up. Spoilers: they are all also weirdly enamored with Dogoos.
If that all sounds mildly unhinged, that's because it is. The storyline of Neptunia Riders is bizarre, but at the same time it fits perfectly with the weird gameplay. The focus on motorcycles may trick you into believing this is a racing game. It is not. Instead, imagine the battle maps from Mario Kart crossed with Katamari Damacy. Yes, it's an odd combination but I cannot think of anything more fitting.
Your average level works like this – you and a partner character must gather a specific number of Dogoos. To do this, you drive around a map on your motorcycle, and every Dogoo you drive near will be absorbed into a floating mass that follows the bike around. A rival team made up of Dogoos transplanted onto disturbingly buff human bodies will also be trying to do the same thing.
It's not clear why we're collecting so many Dogoos, however. Some levels try and justify the concept as "we need to take the Dogoos away from our friend so she'll snap out of it" while others don't even bother trying. I respect that though, since any attempt to explain any of it logically would fall apart under scrutiny. This is not the kind of game for logic.
However, while there is a bizarre yet fun concept here, the execution in Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos is not great. Just like the motorcycle mechanic in Game Maker R:Evolution, the motorcycle handling is stiff and unwieldy. This is better than the previous game, but this is mostly because the maps are so vast you can mostly hit accelerate and not think much about precise steering. The bikes simply aren't that enjoyable to control. As someone who enjoys a racing game or two, it was disappointing to find these bikes lacking the oomph I expect from a virtual vehicle.
Where it seriously falls apart is the drift mechanic. This a real shame because drifting serves two purposes. The first is because drifting is inherently cool. The second is to widen the capture circle around the bike, allowing you to vacuum up more Dogoos. However, this is some painfully limp drifting. It's really just a brake with extra steps, as your turning circle drastically increases but your speed also plummets. There were countless times I attempted to swerve through a cluster of Dogoos with the intention of being cool as heck but ended up grinding to a halt. Let me feel those tires squeal! This is unacceptable!
The other mechanics in Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos outside of the driving don't hold up well either. This is a vehicle battler, after all, so of course there are ways to attack the rival team. This causes your opponent to drop off their clumps and into yours, although be warned as they can do it to you too. The main two methods of attack are a melee attack and a homing shot. The Dogoos you collect can also be used to attack your rivals. There are many flavors of Dogoo that can be channeled into different abilities such as slowing down your opponent.
In theory, at least, because I couldn't make any of this work in practice. Melee attacks have indistinct animations that seem to hit wherever they feel like, while the homing shot seemed to leisurely drift towards your opponent before fizzling out. As for the different Dogoo abilities, I never used them because they didn't seem to work, even in the tutorial when I was explicitly being told how to use them. I wish I knew how the tutorial eventually registered what I was doing but sadly I do not. As such, I never touched the mechanic again for the entire playthrough.
What makes all this worse is how messy the game's visuals are. The levels all blur together due to bland visual design, and within larger areas it can feel like you're driving around in circles because of how samey it all looks. The worst issues arise with the game's inconsistent draw distance, since Dogoos and your opponents can sometimes pop into existence without warning. Even when you are able to see them, the Dogoo mass surrounding an opponent is often indistinguishable from groups of Dogoos on the field. It also proves difficult to tell your partner from your rivals, as the chaos of everything means the only distinguishing feature is the color of the capture circle, which is also often obscured.
There is some charm in Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos, mainly within the character interactions. The story is nonsense but it's the fun kind of nonsense. The kind where even the writers appear to be aware of how silly it is and are embracing it. The lengths that the various goddesses are going to in order to show their love for their new Dogoo "friends" is legitimately funny at times. One character is brought to her senses by reminding her of the existence of pudding. On top of that, the voice cast were clearly having a great time with all of this.
In other words, it's a Neptunia game. It's a clunky mess of a game where every mechanic is half-baked and each level is painfully repetitive. But it survives on the strength of how much it revels in its silly character interactions.
Overall, Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos is a strange game, and not necessarily in a good way. The concept is fun but poorly executed thanks to muddied visuals and unsatisfying driving mechanics. Fans may enjoy the character interactions but may still be put off by how much of a departure it is.

Both VShojo and AmaLee announced she is part of the company, and she has a new Mafia Monarch Vtuber model to celebrate. She already held her first stream with the company on Twitch. There is also an official merchandise collection to celebrate her arrival at the VShojo storefront.
AmaLee started her January 26, 2025 stream with MiSide and her chibi model. At about the three hour mark in the stream, she took a break and returned with her Mafia Monarch model and the office background. This is the same location VShojo teased in all of the videos leading up to the announcement. During this part of the stream, she talked about her joining the company. She confirmed this didn't happen because of the English auditions opened up in 2024. She also took to social media to make a statement about that. She mentioned her joining "has been in the works for almost a year and a half."

In terms of merchandise, there are five types of Mafia Monarch VShojo items for the AmaLee Vtuber debut. These can be purchase piecemeal or in a $115 bundle. There's a voice pack for $5, a $9 sticker sheet based on her chibi model, a $15 phone grip, a $49 desk mat, and a signed print that is $50 if you want a pre-signed one or $60 if you want it personalized.

Apex-Toys has revealed a new 1/7 scale figure modeled after the Honkai: Star Rail character Kafka. The Shanghai-based company will open pre-orders for the figure first in China, and other countries and territories may follow suit shortly after. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
This figure will depict Kafka in her regular attire as she normally appears in the game, which is readily available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PC, Android, and iOS. The figure set will also have the Stellaron Hunter wield her crimson-colored sword, with thorn effects gushing up from the set's base.

The new figure will add another entry to the ever-growing list of merchandise featuring Kafka. miHoYo's Taobao storefront has also revealed another Kafka figure slated for release in May 2025, but that one would depict her in an evening gown while playing violin, and the scale is also smaller at 1/8. The game's publisher company also revealed new chibi figures featuring the same character along with Blade in June 2024.
Apex-Toys' new 1/7 scale figure of Kafka from Honkai: Star Rail will appear first in China. The Chinese company will announce more details about the figure's release window and pricing at a later date.

Koei Tecmo and Gust have announced that they will shut down the global English and Chinese versions of the mobile game Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator on March 28, 2025. Only the original Japanese release will remain intact after this date.
This end-of-service announcement could not have come at a more coincidental time, as Koei Tecmo and Gust broke the news just as they were in the middle of celebrations for the global server's first anniversary, since it launched on January 25, 2024. On the contrary, the official X account for the original Japanese release is still actively announcing new gacha banners without any signs of server closure in the immediate future.
Even though Gust has already specified the global server's shutdown date, the studio confirmed that it will still add more content until that day. To add even more to the abrupt closure, the last main story chapter slated to appear in March 2025 will be Chapter 21 (Part 1).
As a comparison, Gust just added Chapter 22 (Part 2) to the original Japanese release on January 27, 2025—the exact same day it announced the global server's closure. It will also celebrate 1.5th anniversary for the Japanese server—which launched on September 23, 2023—in March 2025. That will be the same month it closes the global server, which will only last for a year and two months in total.
The global version of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator is available in English and Chinese on iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as on PC via Steam, until March 28, 2025. The original Japanese version is still actively ongoing for the foreseeable future.
