Set in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk dystopia, this extraction shooter sticks you in a remote-controlled mech suit, similar to the Warframes of, well, Warframe. With the protection of your mechanical armor, you must then loot, shoot, and extract, lest you lose your shell for good. Combine this with the top-down gameplay of Diablo 4, a cel-shaded cartoon art style, and a soundtrack that wouldn't feel out of place in Doom, and you've got the adrenaline-pumping Shell Runner. I did not know how utterly burnt out I was on violence and misery until I held one of pet simulation Bobo Bay's sentient blob critters in my arms and lavished snacks upon it. When I close my eyes, I can still hear Conscript's shells falling in the distance. But here and now, there are only Bobos, the races they take part in, and the idyllic bay in which they reside. |

It's something I always appreciate in films (Brendy mentioned Fleabag, I brought up Shane Meadows), and although the flow of many of Exodus' scenes were quite awkward, it was still refreshing to see a game break away from the common, unnatural back-and-forth line delivery. Bioshock and Judas's Ken Levine has a name for this - "turn-based dialogue." According to Levine, it's "one of the biggest problems" in the way games portray conversations. |

IDW Publishing will release a Naruto and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover miniseries some time in October 2024. It will be available in both physical and digital formats. [Thanks, Keifer Martin!]
According to Martin's replies in the thread, the source comes from the Russian TMNT forum "Turtle Power." In the original post, we only know the release window and that Jorge Jimenez did the cover. For reference, Jorge Jimenez is a comic book artist who's well known for his work on multiple Batman and Superman series. There's no information yet as to who the writers are for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto miniseries and, nor do we know what the story will be about.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first came out in 1984, with action figures and an animated series coming out in the 1980s as well. The story follows Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, who are four anthropomorphic turtles who live in the sewers of New York City. Sewer rat sensei Splinter taught them ninjutsu, which they use to fight crime. In their off time, they enjoy stereotypical teenager activities like playing video games and eating pizza. Naruto (of Naruto) is a teenager who likes to eat ramen and can use ninjutsu. He also has a sensei with hair that's similar to the color of a rat's fur. So they have that in common.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto comic miniseries should come out in October 2024. More information will appear closer to the release window.
