PCGamesN Tuesday, November 12, 2024 11:45 AM  According to the latest gossip on the tech grapevine, Nvidia has just called time on producing the AD106 GPU used to make its Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti graphics cards. The company is reportedly freeing up production lines so that it can produce as many of its new RTX 5000 GPUs as possible in preparation for the rumored launch in January 2025. We fully expect the new RTX 5090 to be the best graphics card when it eventually comes out, especially now that AMD has abandoned high-end GPUs for the moment. However, Nvidia is reportedly planning to not only launch this flagship GPU in the first three months of 2025, but also three other GPUs. That's going to require some serious production capacity, which is why Nvidia is apparently now shutting down production of some of its Ada GPUs. PCGamesN Tuesday, November 12, 2024 9:21 AM  A load of new Intel CPU specs have just been leaked, revealing that the company is potentially cooling up seven new chips to expand the Arrow Lake lineup. If the specs are right, all the new CPUs are going to be cool-running and power-efficient, and they're not going to be easily overclockable. The leak comes soon after the Arrow Lake launch proved that Intel is struggling to make a good gaming CPU right now, even if the new chips have a decent amount of multi-threaded power. Indeed, as we found in our Core Ultra 7 265K review, the new Intel Arrow Lake architecture really struggles with gaming, and if these leaked specs are correct, then these new Intel chips are going to be even worse, with extremely low clock speeds. The plus side is that the CPUs appear to have extremely low heat output, with the new Core Ultra 9 285T reportedly having a thermal design power (TDP) of just 35W, as does another T-branded chip, the Core Ultra 7 265T. "I didn't even know what a Neo-Volkite pistol was until five minutes ago, but now this whole game is trash until I get one!." As promised in the roadmap, the last big update added a whole new Operations map, complete with a gargantuan new pseudo-boss in the form of a hierophant bio-titan. It did not, however, give me my beloved pistol. It's fine. It's in now, along with a few, less Neo-Volkite updates to other weapons. |

Young'uns these days just don't appreciate how revolutionary it was to be able to hit a cop with a thing after he'd already fallen over. Suffice it to say I've got good memories of the open world series' nascent forays into 3D, though never enough to tempt me into revisiting them, especially given the poor reception to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. I can sympathise. I'm annoyed just having to type a colon and a dash in the same game name. If you're in a similarly non-fussed position (I will never not be annoyed that 'nonplussed' doesn't mean what it sounds like it should mean) I can't imagine a lighting update that's been available on the mobile versions for a while is enough to tempt you back. But what is a reporter's job if not pathetically treading water between chunklets of Grand Theft Auto news, upon the publishing of which Graham presses the button to release the nutritious pellets on which we all wholly subsist? I hope he doesn't read that last sentence. I don't get my pellet if the syntax becomes too convoluted. Moving swiftly on. |

There will be Little Kitty Big City Switch physical copies, and the Deluxe Edition includes a frog cat hat like the one in the game. It is only sold at Fangamer for $59. The standard copy will be more widely available for $34.99.
Some of the items in the special edition are found in both versions of the physical release. People get a copy of the game with a reversible cover, a physical game manual, a download of the soundtrack, and a miniature poster that looks like a lost cat ad.
The big draw of the Little Kitty Big City Deluxe Edition physical copy is the frog cat hat. It is based on the one you can acquire by playing. You can also get a Hang in There poster with the kitty on it. There are cat sticky notes and stickers as well.
Here are all the pieces of merchandise included in the Deluxe Edition.
There are no physical Xbox Series X options available. It is unknown if those could eventually appear. Likewise, Fangamer didn't offer an option to get a PC version that includes a digital copy.
Little Kitty Big City is available digitally on the Switch, Xbox Series X, and PC now, and the physical standard and Deluxe Edition versions arrive on March 28, 2025.

As is common with any patch, there are new FFXIV job action and trait adjustments that change how certain roles work in 7.1. Also as usual, certain jobs experienced more alterations than others. So the FFXIV version of the Dark Knight, Dragoon, Sage, and Scholar jobs experienced the most adjustments this time. 19 jobs in total were tweaked in this update.
First, there were nine changes made to the Dark Knight job in FFXIV, and here are all the adjustments from the official patch notes for 7.1. There are nine actions that work a little differently now.
The Dragoon only experienced seven action changes when it comes to FFXIV job adjustments in 7.1. However, in the cases of four of those actions, multiple alterations were made.
Eight changes were made to Sage job actions in FFXIV 7.1. However, in most cases it just means the MP cost is reduced or potency is slightly increased.
As for the FFXIV Scholar, it's in the same position as the Sage when it comes to 7.1 job changes. The MP costs dropped or cure potency went up.
The other job changes in FFXIV 7.1 are more minor. The Astrologian's two Gravity spells AOE increased.
Black Mages will see changes to four actions.
Dancers will see four dances slightly change.
The Gunbreaker Superbolide won't feature such drastic HP consequences, among other job action adjustments in FFXIV patch 7.1.
In the case of Healers, Esuna lost its cast time.
There are five changes to the Machinist job in FFXIV patch 7.1.
The Marauder and Warrior ended up having the Chaotic Cyclone and Holmgang actions changed.
The Ninja Dokumori and Ten Chi Jin actions seems to be the most notable alterations.
Following multiple past Paladin changes and a rework in FFXIV, there are only three adjustments in patch 7.1.
Three Pictomancer motifs were adjusted.
Different types of Reaping hotbar icons look different for the Reaper.
Red Mage potencies increased for four actions.
Some of the Samurai changes have to do with potency.
While it didn't change as much as some other jobs, the Summoner experienced quite a few adjustments in FFXIV patch 7.1.
Finally, here are the White Mage adjustments.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and patch 7.1 is live now.

Good Smile Company has revealed that it will bring back its 1/48 scale model of the Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop in 2025. The company has opened global pre-orders for the model on its North American and Japanese international web stores at ¥39,600 / $263.99.
The company originally released the scale model in December 2019. The model comes mostly pre-built so the buyer would not have to assemble most of the parts like plastic model kits. This model, however, will still have some articulated and removable parts. The owner will be able to fold the wings and lower the landing gear to depict the craft's parked state. They can also remove the cockpit, which hosts a miniature figure of Spike Spiegel.
The model also has ship lights and an engine thruster that can light up by installing LR44 batteries. Good Smile Company will exclusively provide batteries for domestic orders inside Japan.
The Swordfish II scale model is not the only Cowboy Bebop product Good Smile Company is producing. The company revealed prototypes of Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine's Nendoroids at last October's WonFes 2024 Shanghai. However, it has still yet to confirm the release window for both chibi figures.
Good Smile Company will close the pre-order window for the re-release of the 1/48 scale model of the Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop on January 8, 2025. The company will ship the finished products from Japan in July 2025 and North America in Q4 2025.

Square Enix announced that its Final Fantasy XI Adventurers' Survey 2024 is now live, and the company wants to know about people's experiences with the MMORPG. It also noted in the announcement that it wants to hear from people who are both actively playing and used to play to help improve the overall experience.
To take part, people need to hear to the official site for the FFXI Adventurers' Survey 2024. You don't need to be logged into an account, and it will be completely anonymous. However, Square Enix did note it might feature responses in broadcasts, so it cautioned about providing detailed information about yourself.
Many of the asks are fairly typical demographic questions. For example, this year's survey asks if someone is an active player and how far they got into the game. If someone quit or isn't too far, it asks for specific windows. So for example, some of the more recent options include "Rhapsodies of Vana'diel (2015-onward)" and "The Voracious Resurgence (2020-onward)."
One of the more interesting questions is one for an inactive player, as it asks what would bring someone back to the Final Fantasy MMORPG. Some of the options include "collaborations with other titles," "additional scenarios and quests," "lower monthly subscription fees," and "support for game consoles."
There is also a write-in category in the survey. Square Enix asked if people had any interesting stories tied to their experiences with the MMORPG. It also asked for any comments or suggestions.
Final Fantasy XI is available for PCs, there's no word when the Adventurers' Survey 2024 will be closed, and the FFXI crossover is live in the FFXIV MMORPG now.

Square Enix has revealed the list of merchandise that will be available in the upcoming NieR Dinner Show. The company also announced that it will open public ticket sales at 10am JST on November 16, 2024. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
As reported previously in October 2024, Square Enix will hold the dinner show in Tokyo on the last Sunday of 2024. Tickets for this show will be very costly, as all visitors will be seated in the dining hall. The lowest A-tier seat for the first-afternoon show will cost ¥30,800 (~$199.40), while the highest VIP-tier ticket with a bonus porcelain bottle that looks like Emil for the second-night show will cost a whopping ¥57,200 (~$370.40).

The Streamer Awards 2024 candidates for Best Vtuber were revealed, and this year VShojo members Ironmouse and Zentreya, the indie Vtubers Dokibird, and the AI Vtuber Neuro-sama on Vedal987's channel are the nominees. Ironmouse previously won the award in 2022 and 2023.
This marks the first time both Dokibird and Zentreya have been nominated for the Best Vtuber category at The Streamer Awards. In the case of Dokibird, it is because she returned to streaming in February 2024 after taking a break in May 2021.
Ironmouse is also nominated in multiple categories this year. She's up for Best Marathon Stream and The Sapphire Award as well. For the former, it is for her Ironmouse Subathon 2024. The latter category is for Best Female / Marginalized Gender Streamer of the Year.
As a reminder, people are the ones who vote who will be the nominees in every category for The Streamer Awards each year. Then, ahead of the show, we vote for the nominees on the official site to determine the winners.
While these are the four nominees for Vtubers in this category, some appear in other categories as well. For example, Onigiri is up for Best Creative Arts Streamer. She was nominated for that category in 2023 as well. VShojo is also up for the Best Content Organization award.
On December 7, 2024, The Streamer Awards will air and we will learn if Dokibird, Ironmouse, Neuro-sama (Vedal987), or Zentreya will be named Best Vtuber.

Nintendo announced its official Black Friday 2024 sales that will be available at all retailers, and they include eight games, deals on the Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Cons pair, and in-store events at GameStop, Best Buy, and Target. This is in addition to the already confirmed Nintendo Switch console holiday bundles announced for 2024.
First, here are the eight games that will be on sale. Each one will be $20 off starting on November 24, 2024. The applicable stores where the deals will be valid are Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart.
As for the Black Friday 2024 sales on Joy-Cons, that only applies to the Neon Red and Neon Blue set. They're $59.99, rather than $79.99, starting on November 24, 2024.
The in-store events happen during specific times throughout November and December 2024. Some Targets will have Super Mario Jamboree playable between November 16-17, 2024. The second event is a one-day demo at some Best Buy stores. People who show up on December 7, 2024, they can play Just Dance 2025, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, and Super Mario Party Jamboree. The last event is on December 14, 2024. That's when some GameStops will feature the same games from the Best Buy event.

LightSpeed Studios announced that it has established LightSpeed Japan Studio with Hideaki Itsuno as its leader. The former Capcom game director will work on new AAA action games in the new studio, which has two offices in Tokyo and Osaka.
Hideaki Itsuno was most recently known for working on Devil May Cry 5 and Dragon's Dogma 2. However, the latter became the last title he was involved with in Capcom. This is because Itsuno announced his departure from the company he had been working on for over 30 years at the end of August 2024. The new environment Hideaki Itsuno entered in September 2024 has since been revealed to be LightSpeed Japan Studio.
LightSpeed Studios is more known for developing mobile games like PUBG Mobile and Undawn. However, the new Japanese studio will have a focus on AAA action games. One of the studio's job listings, hosted by LightSpeed's parent company Tencent, seeks a programming engineer who is proficient in languages like C++, C#, and Python, as well as popular engines like Unreal Engine and Unity. The listing also mentions an expectation of multi-platform development on PC and mobile devices, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Hideaki Itsuno is now affiliated with LightSpeed Japan Studio. However, it will take some time until we can learn more about the AAA action games he is working on in the new studio.

Bandai Spirits revealed two new model kits based on "Honest" Brute's Milk Tooth and the regular BD-011 Melander from Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon at the November 2024 30 Minutes Label presentation stream. The company will release both kits in June 2025.
The Milk Tooth kit will feature the full set of CC-3000 Wrecker body parts. The set will also include the WB-0010 Double Trouble chainsaw, WB-0000 Bad Cook flamethrower, BML-G2/P19SPL-12 missile launcher, and SB-033M Morley bazooka. It will appear with a price tag of 3,850 yen (~$25).
Meanwhile, the BD-011 Melander kit will contain a complete set of the regular AC unit parts. This will distinguish it from G1 Michigan's Liger Tail kit coming in December 2024, since the latter combined Melander parts with Verrill head and quad legs. The regular Melander kit will also come with an MG-014 Ludlow machine gun at a lower overall cost of 2,530 yen (~$16.40).
In addition to the two AC units, Bandai Spirits also revealed the fifth weapon set that will cost 1,870 yen (~$12.15). This set will contain the RF-024 Turner assault rifle, BML-G1/P07VTC-12 missile launcher, SI-24 : SU-Q5 pulse shield, and HI-32 : BU-TT/A pulse blade. The latter is also one of the default armaments available at the beginning of the Armored Core VI game.
The 30 Minutes Missions model kits of the regular BD-011 Melander and "Honest" Brute's Milk Tooth from Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, along with the fifth weapon set, will be available in June 2025. Armored Core VI is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Square Enix has revealed a new collection of keychains featuring its game music albums that also feature NFC. This merchandise lineup will be available as capsule toys. The company has also opened online sales for the items via its e-Store Kuji lottery webpage.
The NFC on these keychains will let people access a webpage that lists links to the album's page on streaming sites like Spotify and YouTube on their mobile devices. For example, the Xenogears soundtrack keychain will generate a banner that links to this webpage.
The web store lets people order the keychains at 600 yen apiece. However, Square Enix will ship random items to emulate the capsule toy vending machines.

The Square Enix Music Collection Keychains are available for random purchases until November 12, 2025, or its stock has completely run out—whichever comes first. The NFC keychains will also be available in physical capsule toy vending machines across Japan.
