I just don't see the point of a loot commute, even with other players around to add spice. Still, I do think I'll spend more time in Arc – out now on Steam, EGS and the Microsoft Store - after losing a few hours to a pre-release multiplayer session last week. Good Smile Company has revealed the global release timings for its upcoming crossover figure featuring Snow Miku and Kuromi, after it previously unveiled the figure in June 2025. People residing in North America can immediately pre-order the figure from Good Smile Company U.S. for $165.99. Those residing elsewhere worldwide can instead head to the Japanese international website, where the same figure is available at ¥26,500.
This crossover figure will have Snow Miku hold the Sanrio mascot on her right hand. Miku's twintails will also feature translucent parts with pearlescent paints. The whole figure will have an approximate total height of 22.3 cm / 7.78 inches.

Good Smile Company is not the only one to produce a crossover figure between Snow Miku and Kuromi. FuRyu is also making its own version of the crossover with a gothic lolita twist. The latter is slated to appear as crane game prizes in Japanese arcade centers in February 2026.
The pre-order window for Good Smile Company's 1/7 scale Snow Miku and Kuromi figure set will close in Japan on December 10, 2025, and in North America on December 24, 2025. The company will start shipping the figures worldwide from Japan in November 2026. The same figure is expected to arrive in North America between March 31 and June 30, 2027.

Nintendo announced that it will release a free update for every version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as a specific $4.99 Switch 2 Edition upgrade that will add things like mouse controls and 12-player multiplayer. Everything will appear on January 15, 2026. A $64.99 digital and physical Switch 2 version will appear that day too.
First, the free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will add a new building, a new reset option, shared Slumber Islands to play with others, and new collaborations with extra villagers. The Resort Hotel is tied to Kapp'n's family and features new tasks, clothes, and furniture. If we decorate rooms for guests to lure in visitors, we can earn tickets to spend on new cosmetics. The Slumber Island lets us have up to three extra islands online. Those can be worked on with other people. We can then work together to maintain them and build up its population. The confirmed new collaboration villagers are Tulin and Mineru, and there will be Nintendo and Lego items. We don't know if the 3DS-exclusive amiibo villagers and items tied to The Legend of Zelda, such as the villagers, Epona, Ganon, Inkwell, Medli, and W. Link, will all be back. We do know Cece and Viche, who are based on the Squid Sisters, will return.
The Switch 2 exclusive Animal Crossing: New Horizons features all focus on new technologies only available via that console. If you own the camera, you can see the faces of folks also playing. If you don't, you can still now have up to 12 people playing together in one multiplayer session. The built-in mic can be used for talking while playing over GameChat, though you can also use it to call out to your Villagers to find them. You can use the mouse to decorate or create Custom Designs. Finally, there's a resolution upgrade that bumps things up to 4K.

It's been quite some time since Nintendo shared any Animal Crossing updates. We'd really only seen new merchandise in 2025.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on the Switch, and the paid Switch 2 Edition upgrade and free update for both versions of the game will debut on January 15, 2026.

Cover announced that many of its Hololive and Holostars Vtubers will have an increased presence on Twitch going forward, in addition to streaming on platforms like YouTube and Bilibili, and Octavio is among them. To find out more about his plans for Twitch, as well as his musical performances and thoughts on 2025's game of the year, Siliconera caught up with him to discuss what he's been up to and planning for 2026.
Jenni Lada: It's been a pretty big year for you so far, considering your 3D debut and Holostars 3D concert! What was it like preparing for big events like that?
Octavio: Yeah it definitely was! The interesting thing about the events you mentioned are the very long runways when it comes to planning every single detail out. Everything from the creation of the 3D sets to even the new outfits we got for the Holostars concert, we saw so long in advanced, like close to a year! Because of this, its always at the back of my mind for most of the year and it really becomes a matter of practicing the dance routines and songs as much as you can during that long runway which I think makes the actual day of our performances that much easier! Trust me both of these events turned into hyper fixations that I'm glad are finally over (so I can hyperfixate on the next thing again).
Your first original song, released toward the beginning of 2025, was "String Theology." What went into preparing the track, and what did you learn from the experience?
Octavio: I've been friends with the team behind the production of the song, Stellar Paradigm, headed by none other than Dasu, a well-known Vocaloid song producer based in the Philippines, for quite a while now so I'm familiar with how they do their work! She told me that whatever reference you have in mind, a full song or just a small moment in one, that I like to put into my song, that I just send it to her. I sent them a laundry list of different songs and artists that I liked to theme my original song around particularly stuff from Polyphia, Ado and even aespa and they went off to the races! I even sent their lyricist my full lore so they can understand me better!
I found the whole process enlightening, especially the back and forth between me, the team at Stellar Paradigm, my manager and the music team at Cover. Even little things like how stems are packaged, the exact specs files should be sent in were all new information for me. Hearing the songs from its bones to the final product, I think is currently also helping me with my own music productions!
As part of your 3D showcase, we saw you release quite a few original songs. What was it like preparing tracks like "Cold Blue," "Octavio's Puppet Show," and "It is I (The Poppet You've Forgotten" since you were so involved with them?
Octavio: "Octavio's Puppet Show" was the first song I've ever made and it was really just for a silly bit for my debut stream. I had to learn FL Studio from scratch because of it! I was just happy I was able to make a song from scratch having had no prior music making knowledge aside from singing with a guitar! Its become a staple on my channel though, so much so, that my fans would get angry if I didn't play it before the start of the stream.
"It is I (The Poppet You've Forgotten)" was also for a silly bit for just one stream about a puppet rebelling against its puppetmaster, and I made that in like 2 days! It's more alternative rock and emo inspired, but honestly, the weirder the idea, the easier the ideas flow from my brain to the DAW.
Now that I think about it, "Cold Blue" is also a silly song that I made because I lost a game and therefore my punishment was to make a love song for another member of Holostars, which is Gavis Bettel. I wanted it to take a lot of inspiration from OPM (Original Pinoy Music) so crafting a sound like it was really fun to do. Its now become a bigger production and I hope to release it in its full glory one day with everything I've learned over these past few years of my music journey.
For October 30th, you've put together your 88k Milestone Taylor Swift concert. What did prep for that look like and how did you prepare for it?
Octavio: I spent approximately one month preparing for it but it was mostly to practice all the songs! I think there were 29 songs in that setlist and I sang at least 3 songs per Taylor Swift era with some exceptions. The practice was a bit different compared to my other karaoke streams though because I have to take into account that it is going to be a 2 hour concert with little to no breaks in between. Not just that, but choreographing the visuals so that they're in time with everything for a full 2 hours was no small feat! Overall, it was fun and I do enjoy everything about the process!
Now that you'll be streaming on Twitch as well, how do you feel about that? How do you think it will affect things like your karaoke performances and poppet commissions?
Octavio: I've actually been multistreaming on Twitch since a few months after my debut, and that includes my poppet commissions thanks to the Art category on Twitch! However, now with our official debuts on Twitch, I do want to start offering streams that I think would work best on Twitch only like more interactive games like Cult of the Lamb for example. There's a lot of games specifically with Twitch integration that I plan to play with my fans in the future, plus I'd like to invite my fellow talents from Hololive/Holostars for Twitch specific collabs, that'd be nice! I haven't dabbled with singing on Twitch yet, but I do want to experiment with it, maybe apply for a front-page spot when I do so? We'll see!
You're also active on Bilibili! What do you like about that platform?
Octavio: Bilibili to me feels like a very casual space for me to express myself as a streamer and artist! Since Youtube is my main platform, I tend to take all my steps there quite seriously, but since we're still growing our brand on Bilibili, I've been focused on making my streams there a comfortable and welcoming space for new viewers! I don't usually do few hour long Just Chatting streams as its not my style, but I'm willing to do it on Bilibili for example to form a more personal attachment to the fans over there just now discovering Holostars! I've also been learning Chinese songs and releasing Chinese covers to reach more people on there.
As for YouTube, how do you think you'll be using that going forward?
Octavio: My main audience is still on Youtube for now, but I've always believed in meeting everyone where they are in terms of content. That's why I'm really enthusiastic about branching out to different platforms as much as I can, like now on Twitch! That's why as long as I can, I'll continue multistreaming my Youtube streams to Twitch when appropriate so that no matter the circumstance, there is a place for a poppet to watch my streams on any platform of their choosing!
We're getting toward the end of 2025 now, and you've played a lot of the big releases of the year so far like Silent Hill f, Umamusume: Pretty Derby, Clair Obscur Expedition 33, and Atelier Yumia. Have you locked in a favorite yet?
Octavio: Oh man, what a loaded question! As a true blue gamer that was raised on RPGs of all flavors, especially JRPGs, as well as action and adventure games, I'd have to say my favorites of the year so far are definitely Clair Obscur Expedition 33 and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Clair Obscur really showcased what a team that loves the genre can do to both transform it and respect its roots! Final Fantasy Tactics on the other hand is an example of what the pinnacle of the JRPG genre looks like and it sported an incredibly nuanced story to boot! Aside from those however, I'd like to give a big shoutout to this game called Pandora's Whispers, which is a Tactical RPG made by fans of ARMIS! It only has the demo out for now but it was fun playing as myself, and the other members of ARMIS in a Fire Emblem-esque gameplay style!
Going into 2026, what do you have planned for next year? Any major goals you want to accomplish?
Octavio: 2026 for me is the year of ORIGINAL MUSIC, made completely by myself. My personal journey in music production started when I began here in Holostars, actually. Also, as the president of the Vtuber Taylor Swift fanclub, I owe it to the queen herself to make music of my own. "Cold Blue" and "Jutai" are the first ones, but I'm already making a lot more behind the scenes, some of which my channel members have been helping me produce! I don't want to be known as a cover artist in this space, I want to take that step to become a real music artist with fans who support me because of the music that I made in 2026!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons helped millions of gamers (new and veterans alike) navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, and it's one that many remember very fondly. And while today's news is not quite the new game that many players were hoping for, it's still a welcome one.
New Horizons will be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade alongside a 3.0 free update early next year, bringing about a slew of technical improvements for the new console, but with a decent amount of new content to play, too.
The 3.0 update is free for all players on Switch 1 and Switch 2, but the Switch 2 upgrade pack is unfortunately paid DLC. Purchasing the upgrade pack ($4.99) will unlock enhanced resolution up to 4K and JoyCon 2 mouse controls to help with decorating or creating custom designs, like messages on the town billboard.
There's also a new Megaphone item that uses the Switch 2's mic to call out and locate your island residents. The Switch 2 version also allows for up to 12 players connect and play together on an island, with support for GameChat while playing.
Everything else in the 3.0 update is free alongside the new update, including a new hotel location where you can decorate guest rooms, unlock new items and outfits, and DIY goods. There's also a number of quality of life updates like increased storage, and the ability to "tidy" up areas of the island with the new NPC Resetti that can reset whole areas of the map.
Luna's New Dream World also lets players visit a place called Slumber Island, which is basically a sandbox area for players to decorate and build on to their heart's content, terraforming and creating as they please.
Collabs in the update include the ability to play retro Nintendo games within Animal Crossing itself, LEGO-themed items like furniture and fashion items, and a Legend of Zelda collab featuring characters like Mineru and Tulin, and some Splatoon items, too.
Both the Switch 2 upgrade and 3.0 update for New Horizons arrive early next year on Jan. 15, 2026. One thing is for sure: my villagers are going to be pissed at how I have neglected them these past four years.

EA Sports has massively buffed the Division Rivals rewards for Season 2 in FC 26 Ultimate Team, and you can expect to find better returns for your efforts.
The buffs apply across all 11 divisions, and the rewards are sweeter the better you can rank. This guide will provide you with the information for all the rewards available with every division.

ARC Raider's early beta was an excellent opportunity for the players to try out the game for free, and also get the Server Slam backpack for free in the process.
In case you didn't participate in it, the Server Slam event was held in the middle of October. While not all the content might have been made available to the players, you have to clear a fair amount of content. The Server Slam backpack is a token of gratitude from the developers, and you can use it in the full game now that it's out globally.
How to obtain the Server Slam backpack in ARC Raiders
The only way to get the backpack was to participate in the Server Slam event. This piece of gear was exclusive to the event. If you missed out on that event, it's no longer possible for you to obtain the backpack.
If you did participate, here's what you need to do.
Once redeemed, the Server Slam backpack will be available in your in-game inventory. Incidentally, this is the only bit from the Server Slam event that you can use in the full game. All your in-game progression, builds, skill tree, and inventory have been reset when you step into ARC Raiders for the first time.

Star Path duties are some of the toughest quests to get done in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These missions often give you a tricky task with little guidance, as is the case with the craft any refinement item duty.
Prior to this duty, there's never been a task that asked you to make refinement items, so there's a decent chance you might be unsure what this means. It's not too tough a quest to get done once you understand what it's asking, so here's how to craft any refinement item in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What is a refinement item in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
A refinement item is anything you can make in the Refined Material category at a crafting station. There are five different categories of items you can craft, and only those listed in this single specific category count for the Star Path duty. Refined Materials include items like Ingots, Night Shards, Fabric, and other similar assets.

All items listed in the Refined Material category count for the Star Path duty that asks you to craft items. If you want to make extra sure you choose the right ones, though, here are all the refinement items you can make.
Although all refinement items count for this task, some are much easier to make than others. If you're looking for the best use of your resources, I recommend crafting items like Iron Ingots, Brick, and Soil since you need lots of all three to make other crafted items like paths, fences, and furniture.
Some of the other items are much more costly to make and not as useful, which means you may end up wasting resources. It's best to pick items you think you'll likely use in the future to make sure you don't spend your precious materials on items you don't need.
Craft any refinement item in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the craft any refinement item task for the Witchful Thinking Star Path event, you need to make 30 items in the Refined Material category. How you break up this process is entirely up to you, which means you can mix and match between different items or make 30 of the same.
Finishing this mission gets you 20 Tokens to spend in the event. It's a decent reward for your efforts, but not the absolute most you can earn from a single task. Still, it's certainly one worth tackling, as crafting is one of the easier quests to get done.
You still might need to stock up on more Tokens to claim some of the bigger prizes, though. Luckily, there are plenty of other duties to tackle, so consider working on cooking a fairly fancy appetizer, digging for pottery material, harvesting something white and fluffy, and collecting some shoreline shellfish next.

Disney Dreamlight Valley loves to present tricky riddles for you to solve, and The Haunted Floating Festival is packed with loads of them to decipher. One of the tough hints you'll come across in this event asks you to find a fish that's always en garde.
Since you're only given this clue to work with when there are over 50 fish to find around the valley and all DLC worlds, it's decently tough to determine which one is needed here. And even when you do know the right fish to hunt for, it can still be tricky to locate, so here's how to get a fish that's always en garde in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

What is a fish that's always en garde in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The fish that's always en garde is a Swordfish in DDV. "En garde" is a fencing term used when someone is ready to take action, so since the Swordfish has a long, pointed sword-like nose, it's being used as a hint for this specific fish.
For the purposes of solving the Potion Brewer's House puzzle, you only need to find and catch one Swordfish. It's only one of several potion ingredients you need to track down, though, so there's plenty more work to be done after you catch one.
Where to find Swordfish in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Swordfish can be fished up from around the Dazzle Beach biome. It's only found in gold ripple spots, so it can take a bit to find one, as there's usually only one or two of them available at any given time. If you're having a tough time finding a gold spot, consider crafting and using Miracle Fishing Bait or Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait, which turns all white spots into gold ones.
In most cases, any golden ripple spot you find in this area is guaranteed to drop a Swordfish, but there is one exception to this rule. If it's raining, the golden bubble spots will likely contain a Fugu instead, as this fish can only be caught around Dazzle Beach during this weather. Otherwise, any golden ripple spots you find here will have the fish you need.
Moana's Boat, which is her own special stall, can also have Swordfish for you to gather. For the purposes of The Haunted Floating Festival, it doesn't matter how you get a Swordfish, so you can catch a fresh one at the beach, grab one from Moana's Boat, or pick one up from your own personal storage.
Once you're done getting a fish that's always en garde for The Haunted Floating Festival puzzle, you can move on to tackling other tough trials waiting to be solved around the island. Next, you might consider working on the Terror-rific Tree puzzle, the Ghostly Fox Critter puzzle, and the Combination Pillar tile puzzle.

The Mega Rising expansion introduces three different packs in the Pokémon TCG Pocket, and there are some amazing cards available among them.
The theme of this expansion is Mega Evolution, which is available in the game for the first time. Once again, you'll have to prioritize which pack you want to open first, and this will largely depend on the cards you want to add to your collection.
To make your choice simpler, this guide will list the best possible cards that you can find in the game.

Best cards in the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rising expansion
Before I deep dive into the best cards, do note that this isn't a ranked list. I have included what I believe are some of the top cards available as part of this expansion.
Sitrus Berry
The Sitrus Berry can be a big difference maker when it comes to your Pokémon getting knocked out. The card heals 30 HP at the end of every turn if the equipped Pokémon has less than half its health remaining. This can be a handy item during the start of a battle.
Indeedee ex
Indeedee ex is one of the best team cards to have in your deck. Its ability heals 20 HP of your active Pokémon each turn. While Psychic+ does 30 damage for 2 energy, it does 30 more damage for each energy on your opponent's active Pokémon. Hence, it can hit your opposition's Mega/ex Pokémon pretty hard and knock them out as long as they're not at full health.
Mega Gyarados ex
My only complaint with Gyarados ex is the randomness associated with its attack. While Mega Blaster does 140 damage, it takes a lot of time to set up (due to its four energy cost). However, it will discard the top three cards of your opponent's deck. If not taken down early, it could force your opponent to run out of cards. This card is for those who love to play tempo decks and control the momentum of the battle.
Mega Blaziken ex
While Blaziken ex doesn't hit as hard as Gyarados, you can do 120 damage for a 2-cost attack. You can choose to discard one energy and inflict burn on the opponent's Pokémon. It's a pretty sweet card to include in your Fire-themed decks. The only gripe is the constant discard of energy if you want to inflict burn on your enemies.
Mega Altaria ex
Mega Altaria ex is the safest choice by far, and its Mega Harmony effect is quite fun. While the base damage is merely 40 HP, it does +30 damage for each of the opponent's bench Pokémon. Naturally, it forces the opponent to keep the bench light (but that will slow down their ability to build up the bench properly). The attack can do 220 damage at full capacity, which can one-hit almost any card in the game.
