Nintendo announced that, going forward, the prices of digital Switch 2 games on the eShop in North America will be different than the physical copies and it seems cheaper. It confirmed this will start with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, which debuts on May 21, 2026. This falls in line with a practice already happening in places like Europe.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and the European release of Pokemon Pokopia are the best examples of what to expect from the difference between the cheaper digital copy of a Switch game and more expensive physical one. The eShop listing for the upcoming Yoshi title now says it costs $59.99, while physical copies of it are expected to be $69.99. In the case of the Pokemon spin-off, it costs £66.99 for a physical copy and £58.99 for a digital one. (In the US, both digital and physical copies of Pokemon Pokopia are $69.99 each.)
In the Nintendo announcement, which is present on the site and support page, the company cited production costs associated with physical cartridges as a reason for the difference. It also didn't note if there could also be different prices between standard Switch 2 cartridges or game-key card versions in the future.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book will come to the Switch 2 on May 21, 2026.

Bandai Namco announced a new line of figures in its Machiboke / Waiting for You series, and it involves Solid Snake and other familiar entities from Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. The four new figures will launch Gashapon capsule machines in Japan this week. It will cost 400円 per try. There's no worldwide release for it, but we will likely see them eventually due to the Ape Escape Machiboke ones showing up in North America. Full sets of these types of figures also sometimes show up on Bandai Namco's Amazon storefront.
This Metal Gear Solid Machiboke figure gacha features two versions of Solid Snake and two kinds of Metal Gears that look like they're waiting around for someone or something. In terms of the character, there's the standard version of him from Metal Gear Solid 1 and one of him hiding under a cardboard box from Metal Gear Solid 2. Both the Metal Gear RAY and REX are also shown in a relaxed state. There's no "secret" character in this set.
Here's a closer at all four of the official figures and the official marketing for them.
There are more Metal Gear series games headed to modern console soon. At the February 2026 State of Play, Konami revealed Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 2. That compilation will make Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker playable on the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
The Metal Gear Solid Machiboke figures are available in Bandai Namco Gashapon capsule machines in Japan now, and there's no word regarding when we might see them worldwide.

Cover and Apple announced that Hololive Vtuber Calliope Mori will be a part of the Apple 50th anniversary celebration. She'll perform at the Apple Omotesando store in Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan. She'll start at 7pm JST on March 27, 2026. However, the official page for the performance, which also includes Tokyo Highway Radio's Mino, hit its maximum capacity.
Calliope Mori talked about both Apple and the event on her social media account, with the Hololive Vtuber also sharing a brief teaser video for the event. In it, she stated she owned a red iPod nano. Her albums are available on Apple Music and to purchase through the company's storefront.
Here's her teaser for the event.
The announcement noted she'll perform some of her music at the event. However, Apple and Cover didn't say which tracks we could expect. Her third and most recent album is Disasterpiece, which launched in February 2026, and it's possible people who can attend will mainly hear tracks from that. It included "Let's Just Crash." That single ended up being used as the second opening theme for the Gachiakuta anime adaptation.
Calliope Mori will perform at Apple Omotesando in Tokyo, Japan on March 27, 2026, and the Hololive Vtuber's new Disasterpiece album is available worldwide. She streams regularly on YouTube, with her next scheduled ones being a Pokemon Pokopia one at 8pm PT/11pm ET on March 25, 2026 and a Drawn to Dawn concert watch party at 7:30pm PT/10:30pm ET on March 27, 2026.

The road to building your empire in Scritchy Scratchy is filled with opening as many scratchy tickets as you can. However, you'll have to be strategic about which tickets you buy to scratch. They come with different odds, luck, and prices, and this guide will provide you with all the necessary information.
Table of contents
All scratch tickets in Scritchy Scratchy
Tickets are divided across catalogs, and there are four of them. The tables below have the names of all the tickets available for every catalog, along with the individual prices.
Catalog 1
Catalog 2
Catalog 3
Catalog 4
To proceed across all the catalogs, you'll first have to buy all available scratch tickets (for a single catalog). This will then allow you to buy the Final Chance as relevant for that catalog. Once you scratch the Final Chance, accept the death, and move on to the next catalog. The more prestige bonuses you have, the quicker you'll be able to go through the cheaper cards of any catalog.
While costlier tickets will tend to have better luck, there's a cap applicable to all of them. Once you hit that cap, there won't be any incremental effects for the extra luck that you might have.

Bloodstone is one of those many materials in Crimson Desert whose needs increase the deeper you go in your adventure. You'll mostly require these ruby-colored materials for upgrading your weapons and armor. These items become almost mandatory once you want to take your gear past Level 4 or beyond.
Let's look at some of the best farming spots for this specific material.
Table of contents
Best farming spots for Bloostone in Crimson Desert
You can farm Bloostone from all regions in Crimson Desert, but the most consistent ones appear to be in the Hernand region. Bloodstone is usually embedded in the walls or surfaces, and you'll need to use your Pickaxe.
Anvil Hill
Once you go east and pass the hill, you need to head north along the river. The riverside has a Bloodstone strip at the bottom of a nearby ravine. Just explore the area down the ravine, and you'll find your strip of Bloodstone waiting for you.
Haunted Hill
The Haunted Hills POI, located at the north of Hernand, is my go-to spot for farming this material. Head northwest from the North Hernand Watchtower, and go northwest. Keep following the path until you find Bloodstone (it seems to spawn at the base of the nearby cliffs).
These are two of my favorite spots, but as I mentioned, you'll find more areas. Compared to them, these two spots have always rewarded me with more Bloodstones. If you don't want to farm them, you can also rely on the vendors.
How to buy Bloodstone in Crimson Desert
If you manage to visit an Equipment Shop in any of the locations in Crimson Desert, you'll find Bloodstones to purchase from them. However, this method isn't my preferred choice. For starters, I don't like spending my credits on buying upgrade materials. Moreover, every vendor seems to have only a limited amount of Bloodstones for purchase.
Once you purchase the full quantity, you'll need to wait for the next shop reset for the item to restock.

Destiny 2's Guardian Games 2026 reprised the Keraunios trace rifle, but this time, its god roll has a couple of unique options. Some of the old highlights are also present, making this a particularly solid weapon within its category.
Trace rifles are in an odd spot in Destiny 2, somewhere between a primary and a special weapon, despite using green ammo. They have a particular niche, however, particularly in double-special loadouts or in the hands of Cenotaph Warlocks.
Don't be quick to dismantle your Keraunios if you get it from Guardian Games, however: it has a couple of options that may be enough to keep it in your vault. Here are our god rolls for Keraunios in Destiny 2, based on perk data from light.gg.
Keraunios PvE god roll in Destiny 2
For general use, we'd recommend Overflow or Rewind Rounds simply because they're comfortable to use. They refill your magazine by giving you bonus ammo and by adding rounds back after they run out, respectively, so they're good general-use perks to have. That said, trace rifles reload quickly and aren't really used as a big damage tool—different than weapons such as its Guardian Games sibling, The Beacon—so you wouldn't miss out on much if you opted for something else here.
This opens you up to Shoot to Loot, a perk that's often up against meta-defining options. This trait is good if you're running double special since you don't need to jaunt over to ammo bricks to pick them up, and it's a favorite of endgame players for good reason. You're not giving up too much to have this one, so certainly keep it in mind.
Supercharged Magazine can be a great option if your build has access to Amplified, especially paired with Killing Tally, but you can have similar effects with the other perks here if you're not running Arc. Rapid Hit and Fourth Time's the Charm are odd pairings for a trace, but they're easy to trigger since these weapons barely have any recoil.
The fourth column also boasts some impressive options. It's the first trace rifle to roll Chain Reaction, for starters, so it gets a nice touch for handling adds. Going by previous examples, the explosion may also trigger Shoot to Loot.
Jolting Feedback brings some Arc-flavored synergy even if you're not running an electricity-based build, allowing Keraunios to stun Overload Champions and trigger other keywords on the cyan subclass. Then there's the trace rifle-exclusive Detonator Beam to make explosions on sustained hits, and the classic Killing Tally combined with a reload-avoidant perk such as Overflow. Since Killing Tally loses its buff when you swap mags, keeping your weapon topped up allows you to maintain its damage buff for longer.
How to get Keraunios in Destiny 2
Keraunios can drop whenever you complete a Guardian Games activity in the Portal, with a higher-difficulty version of Rushdown giving you bonus Engrams. You can also snag it whenever you light a torch in the Tower or turn in a medallion, and you get a free Holofoil copy of it by advancing through the Guardian Games 2026 event track.

Destructoid Wednesday, March 25, 2026 4:13 PM Marvel Rivals dev says monthly hero release schedule isn't going away: 'It's not going to slow down'
One hero a month. Every month. That's what Marvel Rivals has been doing since 2025, and according to devs at NetEase Games, it won't be changing any time soon.
Releasing a new character in a hero shooter every single month, meaning 12 new ones every year, means there's always something to go back to in the game. On top of limited time events, new skins, and balance changes, the game isn't going away any time soon, according to executive producer Danny Koo.
This creates balance issues, sure, but as a live-service title looking to retain players, Marvel Rivals' biggest strength is the Marvel IP, which has six decades of characters to pull from. And they're probably going to get weirder from here on out, and with no end in sight.
"We want to work with the team to introduce different play mechanics," Koo said to IGN. "If someone is too similar, then it's not that exciting. If we have five shooting guns like Punisher, then it'll be less exciting than someone that does something completely different."
Less guns and odder heroes sounds like fun to me, and with Marvel's giant roster of existing heroes and villains, NetEase won't be having to get creative with original characters any time soon...which is also fine by me. I really hope they eventually begin to pull from the weirdest characters and teams.
"We have so many characters in Marvel, [we're] not looking at outside of Marvel," he said. "We do have collaborations with other Marvel games, let's say. At this point, we have so much content."
A potential issue, other than game balancing (which is an ongoing struggle in any live-service game), is how to navigate a game's UI when it has dozens upon dozens of characters. There are already 48 of them, and that number will only grow from here.
"It's like, 'Who's your favorite heroes that you want to play, so you can have them at any time at your disposal?" he said. "'What are new characters that you want to play?' And this is every season, and you have to solve that problem. And then, if the matter changes, it's like, 'How am I going to pick those characters?' Certainly, we'll work together on how we present that to the players. But I run the live-service side of Marvel games. We have games [that have] over 200-300 characters, and it's not going to slow down."
Two hundred to three hundred characters in a hero shooter? Buckle up, and good luck learning everyone's kits, I guess.

A lot has been theorized over what the scariest enemy in games might be. I have played many horror games, seen many mods, and cross-referencing intel from both has revealed that the scariest monster in all of them is apparently just regular spiders.
Are spiders in games that scary?
Some of the best artists and game designers in the world did their best to come up with the likes of Pyramid Head, Nemesis from Resident Evil 3, the Lickers from Resident Evil 2, and so many others, but we seemingly cannot handle any kind of spider in a game.
There are popular mods to remove Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2, but those exist to replace him with something funny or sexier, not to make him disappear because he's too scary. Name a recent game featuring spiders, however, and it'll have one (or various) mods to remove the critters or replace with something more palatable.
Worst of all is that we aren't usually even looking at an exquisite spider, or an original monster with even more eyes, but rather a regular arachnid. Are you telling me that the T-Virus makes humans turn into flesh-eating zombies and can be used in a lab to create Lickers and Tyrants, but the only thing it does to spiders is make them bigger? I'm one of the select few who really love Resident Evil 3, but I was disappointed when I got to the clock tower, and instead of finding a cool new monster to deal with, I was just met by some huge spiders. Sure, the game introduces them in a pretty neat way, but it would've worked with any other (cooler) original monster as well.
Even Bloodborne, a game full of either original enemies or cool takes on classic ones, has this one spider room for some reason. Interestingly, they're stationary on top of the player's head until we trigger their descent, leaving me wondering if these are some of the few enemies that announce their presence in this game because the developers want to amp up the creep factor, or because they want to warn players that there are spiders ahead in an attempt to prevent lawsuits from spider-induced heart attacks.
Warning: the clip below features the scariest of game monsters.
On top of being unoriginal, spiders in games are only scary if you suffer from any degree of arachnophobia. I get being deathly afraid of a creature that a primordial part of your brain tells you is the devil, for some reason, but here, in real life, spiders kill an average of like seven people a year in the US. Cows? More than 22. Bees? Over 50. Mosquitoes? Over one million annually. A lot of horror games feature those, too, but I'm yet to see a swarm of mosquito-free mods for them.
My conspiracy theory is that devs only put them in games because they know they'll never fail to scare the hell out of a small but vocal part of the community, and the rest will likely be absolutely ok with exploding all sorts of creepy crawlies, so they likely won't be complaining, either.
Arachnophobia modes won't save you
And if you do suffer from arachnophobia, the spider-free mods are likely doing you a disservice.
Games are actually a pretty cool way of confronting your fears without ever being in danger—not that most spiders would actually put you in any kind of danger, ok? And don't take my word for it: a one-time arachnophobic Destructoid editor whose name I won't reveal to prevent them from getting mailed spiders and risk wasting years of progress agrees.
Am I out of my depth, and should spiders keep on permeating all areas in horror games that need filling, or is it time to admit that they just aren't that great of an enemy in video games?

The Shadowgrapher update introduces The Guilty variant of the Perita Rebellion mode in Warframe, and you'll first need to unlock this hard mode. Up until now, there were strong speculations about what this supposed secret mode would feature.
Now we know how to unlock The Guilty.
Table of contents
All prerequisites for unlocking The Guilty in Warframe
The Guilty can only be unlocked by those who have reached the endgame, and you'll also need to have access to Uriel. If you don't have Uriel, you'll be gated out of this content.
You'll also need to have cleared all the quests of The Old Peace quest, which was the last major Warframe update.
How to unlock The Guilty in Warframe
The key to unlock The Guilty mode is something quite peculiar.
Once done, you'll find that The Guilty mode is now active. Incidentally, you'll receive a hint in the main room of the Sanctum Anatomica, which also indicates using the Bow emote. You'll find The Guilty toggle appear on the Perita Rebellion screen once the mode has been unlocked.
The Guilty has its own map, and it follows an Ironman mode restriction since there are no revives. Three types of bosses will appear in a sequence, and all of them have higher defenses.
While unlocking The Guilty isn't as tricky as some of us had feared, the mode is definitely a welcome test for all the hardcore players.

Follie, The Shadowgrapher, brings a dab of the creative chaos that makes Warframe so unique. The disaster artist can spread Inkblot to enemies and has a stacked kit that might remind you of the PS2 classic Okami—but with a thousand times the speed.
Follie has a stacked kit with different abilities that provide a wide, wide range of effects, meaning there could be something for every player out there. Her associated mission, Follie's Hunt, is closer to Layers of Fear than Warframe, shedding the game's all-out, high-octane action for something far slower and spookier (and potentially divisive).
Here's how to farm Follie in Warframe.
How to get all Follie Parts in Warframe
Each of Follie's Pieces has a five percent chance of dropping whenever you complete a run of Follie's Hunt. This means you can farm the Shadowgrapher by running her signature mission, and you'll get there even if RNG isn't on your side.
Follie's Hunt is an unusual take for Warframe, shedding the bullet-jumping, area-nuking mechanics for a slower mission that puts you at a huge disadvantage against the Shadowgrapher and her multiple copies. It's a testament to developer Digital Extremes' capacity to innovate, though the format may not please every Tenno out there.
Thankfully for players, Follie also has a pity system. You can use Atramentum to buy Follie parts from Aspirant Zorba at any Relay, with the following cost:
Atramentum is available in Follie's Hunt missions, set in the disturbing Vesper Relay. Just finishing that activity already nets you some, but it also appears as a drop from any balloons you might find during the mission. Loot-detecting mods such as Animal Instinct will mark them on your map.
If Follie's Hunt is not your cup of tea, you can also purchase Follie straight from the Market for 370 Platinum or shell out more for her bundles.

The Blackwing Leather Armor set is one of the best pieces of gear to find in Crimson Desert. The armor set comes in five parts and has plenty of advantages to offer. However, you'll have to find all five individually to assemble the full set.
Table of contents
All Blackwing Leather Armor part locations in Crimson Desert
To use the full set, you'll have to find the following parts.
Blackwing Leather Armor location
Let's begin with finding the main piece of the set, which is the Blackwing Leather Armor chest piece. Once you're in Chapter 5, you'll encounter the Black and White quest. This is an unmissable task that involves going against the Crowcaller boss in the Crow's nest.
You'll be guarnateed the Blackwing Leather Armor once you defeat the boss.
Blackwing Mask location
The Blackwing Mask is also a guaranteed drop when you defeat the Crowcaller boss in Chapter 5.
Blackwing Leather Gloves location
The third part of the set, the gloves can be acquired from a Treausre chest in the Sanctum of Penitence. Once you find the ruins, head up the stairs to the upper floors. Then, go to the upper area that doesn't have a roof.
You'll find an unstable section near the edge that will collapse when you step on it. Drop down using the opening, and the chest with the gloves will be in front of you.
Blackwing Leather Cloak location
To find the cloak, you'll need to head to the Poronin Village area. Go to the Poronin Village, and you'll find a farm with a wooded shed (right near the signpost). Go behind the shed from the right, and you'll come across a breakable plank wall. Break the wall, and you'll find the hidden chest.
Blackwing Leather Boots location
The boots are hidden at the top of the tower of the House of Healing location. Outside the tower, you'll find a ladder that connects you to the roof.
From the roof, jump up to the tower on the right. To find the hidden entryway, use Force Palm to clear a path. You'll now be able to find the boots in the room below the hidden door.
