Far Cry 6's next roguelike villain DLC launches in six days

Another round of Far Cry 6 DLC is ready for launch, as the trilogy of villain-themed roguelike expansions continues. Ubisoft has confirmed that Pagan: Control will launch next week, giving you a chance to take control of Far Cry 4 villain Pagan Min.

"Players will embody Pagan Min, the iconic villain from Far Cry 4," Ubisoft explains in a press release, "in a brand-new experience inspired by the roguelite genre taking place in the depths of the villain's troubled psyche. Blending intense action and storytelling, Pagan: Control will provide a unique opportunity for players to explore Pagan's mind, learn more about his past, and face off against familiar faces as he struggles to break free from his cycle of guilt and regrets."

Pagan: Control launches on January 11, hitting PC via the Ubisoft Store or Epic Games Store. It'll also be available on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will be available as part of the $39.99 USD season pass, or as part of a Ubisoft Plus subscription on PC.

Fortnite devs apologise with a new free pickaxe and XP boosts

Did you try to log into Fortnite in late December and find yourself unable to do so? You're not alone. Epic's mega-popular battle royale suffered some substantial downtime over the holidays, and the devs have an apology in mind - one that involves you getting free stuff. If you logged in at any time during Winterfest, you're getting a new pickaxe, and some big XP boosts are hitting this weekend to help make up for lost time.

"As thanks for everyone's patience during the December login issues," Epic says in a tweet, "we'll be kicking off a Power Leveling Weekend" starting January 7 at 4pm PST / 7pm EST or midnight GMT on January 8. The XP boost will continue until January 10 at 4am PST / 7am EST / 12pm GMT.

If you logged in during Winterfest, you're also getting the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe for free before it lands in the item shop. This appears to be the item we were all meant to get as the final Winterfest gift, which has been lingering as an unobtainable notification in the main menu for a few days now.

New Sims 4 roadmap hints at a wedding party game pack

It's 2022, and we're starting down a new road for The Sims 4. The devs have just revealed the roadmap for the first three months of content this year, and while it's all hints and teasers right now, it's looking likely that the next major game pack is going to be focused on wedding parties. The coming quarter will also bring us a pair of new kits and, everyone's favourite, free food.

The roadmap is labelled "Simthing to Celebrate", and leads off with "a game pack that throws a party for love". Now, I'm not sure how many love-related types of parties there are in the world, but it's tough to imagine anything fitting that bill better than a wedding party - and the background of the image features wedding rings and cakes.

The devs have confirmed that this roadmap covers the next three months of content, so expect that pack to launch by March 31. (Maybe in time for Valentine's Day.) We'll also get "two vibrant kits that celebrate fierce design" and a selection of "free global food items to bring sims together".

Anda Seat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair 2022 Colors Review Price NewsGaming chairs remain a point of debate for many gamers on whether or not the comfort and quality are worth the rising costs. These racing seat/office chair hybrids have reached widespread adoption and continue to evolve as new features and designs emerge. The last few years have been particularly good for the overall market, as gaming chairs are now a far cry from the cheap early models. Anda Seat is one such brand that's been raising the standards of quality and comfort, but its products have become a bit pricey on select models. Fortunately, that's not the case with the upcoming Phantom 3 gaming chair from Anda Seat. The Phantom 3 is due to debut this spring, and it features a number of design refinements that make it sound like a very attractive product. And that's not even the best part. The $299 USD price point puts it notably lower than a lot of the competition out there. What's particularly nice about this chair is that it also comes with the proper lu...

Nobody Saves the World release magicianDeveloper Drinkbox Studios impressed quite a few players when it released Guacamelee, an exploratory beat 'em up game starring a buff luchador, back in 2013. In fact, it proved popular enough that it would eventually spawn a sequel as well as a few crossover appearances in other indie games. Now, Drinkbox Studios hopes to hit it big again with Nobody Saves the World, a co-op action RPG starring "nobodies" who boast numerous transformations. The developers initially aimed to release the game in 2021, but ended up delaying it to 2022 without specifying a more specific release date at the time. That all changes now, as Drinkbox Studios just revealed that Nobody Saves the World will see a release on January 18. According to a press release, Nobody Saves the World allows players to transform their titular nobodies into over 15 separate forms, including a robot, a rat, and an egg. Each form comes "with its own unique gameplay mechanics," and players can equip...
