How to Catch Zorua in Pokemon Go This Halloween

How to Catch Zorua in Pokemon Go This HalloweenFor Halloween 2022, Niantic added Zorua and Zoroark to Pokemon Go. The standard versions, mind you, and not the shiny one yet. The thing is, you won't just see Zorua in the wild until 10am local time on November 1, 2022. Rather, the character functions like a Ditto. In keeping with its trickster nature, it appears as whatever your current buddy is on the map.

This means the easiest way to catch a Zorua in Pokemon Go is to pick a distinctive buddy. As this is the Halloween season, lots of ghosts are present in-game during this period. So picking a ghost would make it difficult to pick it out. What I did was make a Hisuian Qwilfish my buddy. It's large. It's distinctive. It isn't naturally occurring in the wild right now in-game.

However, Niantic did find a bug in-game. People using Bluetooth catching devices and with a Legendary Pokemon as their buddy would find themselves catching more of that Pokemon that wouldn't transform. It took to the official support Twitter account to confirm it identified the issue and that those characters would eventually transform into Zorua. Until the issue is fixed, people can't use Darkrai, Dialga, Giratina, Groudon, Kyogre, Landorus, Palkia, Xerneas, and Yvetal in Great League battles.

If you catch enough Zorua to gather 50 of its candies, you can evolve it into Zoroark in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go is available for Android and Apple iOS devices, and Zorua can be caught in-game as part of the Halloween events until November 1, 2022.

Dragon Ball The Breakers Review

The Survivors of Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball: The Breakers are in hell, or at least purgatory. They're forever trapped in a tiny plaza, just waiting to be randomly pulled into a dark portal the Time Patrol calls a "Time Seam." In doing so they're teleported to one of three godforsaken maps filled with equally luckless civilians, and then they're hunted by the most powerful villains of multiple universes. And it's never going to end, because that's the how the game works in the first place. The poor sods. Luckily, they're not real, and Bandai Namco turns their suffering into a an often hilarious, sometimes awkward adaptation of the asymmetrical survival horror formula.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers hasn't changed much since I last played during the 2021 network tests. As then, you and seven other Survivors must scramble around the map, avoiding a player-controlled Raider. The Raider is based on a powerful Dragon Ball baddie, and three are available at launch: Cell, the super-strong Bio-Android, Galactic Emperor Frieza, and the many forms of Majin Buu. More Raiders are planned, with Great Ape Vegeta being teased for the next content season.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOHIJYfM9Fo

To keep things interesting, the Survivors need to accomplish objectives scattered around the map to win. Each Dragon Ball: The Breakers map is divided into several areas, and each area hides a Power Key. When all the available Keys have been found and placed at specific locations, a Super Time Machine descends in the center of the map. Activating that machine wins the game. The more keys are activated, the quicker this process can go. And Survivors will want to hurry it along, as the Raider can win by destroying the Super Time Machine before it can be turned on.

Meanwhile, the Raider's job is to eliminate the Survivors, or destroy the time machine. Though Raiders are tough fighters even at their most vulnerable, they're not invincible. They'll need to evolve, usually by killing off Survivors or some of the civilians hiding around the map. Each Raider is unique and has four stages of evolution, as well as a different approach to leveling up. Cell is quite vulnerable at Level 1, being little more than a fast bug looking for nearby civilians, but he evolves out of this form pretty quickly. Frieza can fight quite well even at the start, with plenty of attacks to bully Survivors, but he needs to be proactive about chasing Survivors down, since he only evolves quickly when in the heat of a fight. Lastly, Majin Buu doesn't even appear on the map at first, with the Raider player controlling the minor villains Spopovich and Yamu. The pair are relatively weak on their own, but still need to hunt down civilians and Survivors to gather energy, then book it back to Majin Buu's egg to fill it up and summon Buu himself. The usual play is to evolve a bit and harass the Survivors, and then take advantage of the Super Time Machine's descent to gather them all in one place for a showdown.

Dragon Ball Breakers Majin buu

While a Raider is a tough foe at any time, and practically invincible when fully evolved, Survivors still have many tools to even the odds. They can call on an array of active and passive skills, like jumping pads, zip lines, grappling hooks, and even classic Saiyan Pods to search the map or temporarily disable a pursuing Raider. And when a fight is on, every Survivor can use an equipped Transphere, which channels the spirit of a Dragon Ball hero like Goku, Vegeta, or Yamcha. Transpheres allow Survivors to go toe-to-toe with Raiders, using classic moves like Vegeta's Galick Gun or the Kamehameha. They're charged up by acquiring Change Energy throughout the map, but even when maxed out they don't last very long. Survivors will want to use their changes judiciously, taking advantage of numbers to set up a beatdown.

And then there are the Dragon Balls themselves. All seven are scattered on the map, and when gathered, can be used to summon Shenron to grant a wish. A Survivor can wish to surpass their limits, temporarily granting them enough power to beat a maxed-out Raider, or even distribute extra change power to all the living Survivors and make whole team stronger.

In other words, despite the power imbalance inherent in Dragon Ball: The Breakers, the Survivors and Raiders have surprisingly even odds of coming out on top in the end. A coordinated group of Survivors can summon their time machine before a Raider's been able to get strong enough to become unbeatable, while a tenacious Raider can spoil the Survivors' efforts, crushing them while they scramble around the map. And all of this is against the bright, cheery, and frankly absurd tone of Dragon Ball proper. Where similar games in this genre replicate horror titles and slasher movies, being hunted by a Raider or scrambling to escape feels more like the time a giant dinosaur tried to eat Gohan.

Dragon Ball Z

Of course, with three maps and three Raiders, repetition can set in. Bandai Namco adds variety by mixing up the available active skills players can use. Survivors can also use skins of characters like Bulma, Oolong, and the Farmer, which often have bespoke skills that can be equipped. For example, Bulma can summon a fast unicycle, while Oolong can transform into a missile. Transpheres also add more skills. Vegeta unlocks the Saiyan Pod, which can teleport to any point on the map, while Goku unlocks the Kaioken Rush, a rapid maneuver that can knock a Raider flying for a short while.

These skills are added by Dragon Ball: The Breakers' monetization. Though the game isn't free-to-play, it bears all the hallmarks of a modern microtransaction-based service title. There's a "Dragon Tier" battle pass that progressively unlocks rewards, as well as an item shop with cosmetics for sale. Some can be purchased with coins earned in-game, but others use premium currency. You can also buy emotes, clothing for Survivors, entrance and victory poses (including Tao Pai Pai's famous pillar), and even a few extra active skills. There's also a "Spirit Siphon" gacha system, where you roll for new Transpheres. Transpheres unlock new characters to transform into as a Survivor, or add extra cosmetics and super moves to existing ones. For example, getting Goku might unlock the character, but if you get him again, it'll add the Kaioken Assault super move that you can choose instead of his Kamehameha.

It sounds like the monetization could be open to "pay-to-win" shenanigans, considering that new super moves and active skills can and do constitute a gameplay effect. That's true in principle, which is enough of a concern, but at least as far as I've seen, what you can pay for in Dragon Ball: The Breakers doesn't make a big difference in outcomes. For example, rolling the gacha for a powerful Transphere might get you a strong fighter, but the time limit on it is just as strict for Goku as it is for Yamcha. Nor will having a powerful super move matter if you can only get off one or two blasts before a fight has to end. Having an exotic Active Skill might be more of a game-changer, but many skills have equivalents, and long skill cooldowns means it's still about using finding the right place and time to deploy a skill. All the same, that specter does hang over the game, and clouds what would otherwise be a jolly contest.

All the same, despite iffy monetization choices and the general feeling that the game might not last long enough to become a permanent part of your rotation, Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a frantic and fast-paced interpretation of a genre otherwise saturated in horror movie tropes. Steeped in fun Dragon Ball in-jokes and goofy humor, there's there's a lot of slapstick joy to be found in the game, so much so that it wouldn't be out of place if the Benny Hill theme kicked in every so often.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is available on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. This review is based on a PC version of the game purchased by the reviewer.

Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost

Touhou Danmaku Kagura is dead, long live Touhou Danmaku Kagura. The mobile rhythm game based on the popular Touhou Project franchise officially shut down as promised. However, developer UnknownX announced that it plans to salvage as much of the now-dead game as possible to rebirth it as a new title. Its name will be Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost, and it's targeted for a release on Steam in 2023. It will appear worldwide. [Thanks, Dengeki!]

Key to the move is a crowdfunding campaign hosted on the Japanese crowdfunding site Campfire. The campaign will begin on November 4, 2022, and has a goal of 15 million Yen (about $102 thousand USD). Check out a teaser trailer for the campaign below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaLKwUbykuE

UnknownX stated that although it was "blessed with the opportunity" to redevelop the game in this way, it and its funding partners alone can't shoulder the whole development, which is why it's resorting to crowdfunding. The game will be a stand-alone title, and be operable offline, with the interface and rhythm mechanics redesigned for controller-based operation. It'll have a new story mode, set from the premise of reviving Gensokyo after a calamity left it in ruin. The Mitama Cards and their art will be incorporated into the story mode as a way to unlock the memories of Gensokyo. There will also be a free play mode allowing players to enjoy the rhythm game "to their hearts' content". Additional content like Mitama Cards and songs will be added through updates and eventually, paid DLC packs. The game will support Japanese, Chinese, and English language options.

Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost is in development. Its crowdfunding campaign will begin on November 4, 2022.

Gundam Evolution Witch from Mercury

The latest Mobile Suit Gundam series, The Witch from Mercury, made something of a splash with its debut this anime season. Team-based competitive game Gundam Evolution is ready to take advantage of that. Bandai Namco launched a promotional campaign to commemorate The Witch from Mercury in Gundam Evolution. The campaign will continue through December 27, 2022.

All a player has to do during that period is to log into Gundam Evolution and get Witch from Mercury cosmetic customization items. The four items will arrive in their in-game present box, free of charge. The customization items include a player profile icon featuring Suletta Mercury, and a pair of stamps. One stamp displays the Witch from Mercury poster. The other is a cutaway focusing on the head of the show's signature mobile suit, Aerial. The last item is an ornament featuring the show's logo. Ornaments hang off the in-game weapon, like a keychain.

Debuting in October 2022, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury takes place in a new alternate setting, where much of humanity has relocated to space colonies. Megacorporations exploit the people living planetside in places like Earth and Mercury. At the Asticassia School of Technology, the young scions of the most powerful corps engage in duels to determine key issues and resolve disputes. Into this milieu transfers Suletta Mercury, a naive girl from the backwater Mercury settlement. Along with her is her mobile suit, Aerial, which harbors mysterious abilities that might be connected to the forbidden "Gundam" technology.

Gundam Evolution is available on the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The Witch from Mercury streams on various services, including Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Disney+.

PS5 Japan Sales

A new report in Famitsu indicated that sales figures for the PlayStation 5 in Japan hit a new milestone. The hardware sales estimates for the week of October 17-23, 2022 note that Japan PS5 sales topped two million units sold. This number is a combination of both the standard edition PS5 and the less expensive digital edition. (That is the one without an optical drive.)

Overall, Japan PS5 sales saw a total of 2,027,783 units sold. 1,749,737 units were the standard, disc drive-equipped version. The digital edition PS5 was considerably less popular at 278,046 units sold. The PS5 launched in Japan in November 2020, putting it at just shy of 102 weeks before hitting the milestone. By comparison, the PS4 took 90 weeks to mark two million sold. This relative slowness was exacerbated by supply issues caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Even now, PS5s are still often sold in Japan via lottery system.

In May 2022 Sony reported that the PS5 surpassed 19.3 million units sold globally.

Though the sales milestone is an achievement for the PS5 in Japan, the Nintendo Switch remains dominant overall. The Switch OLED model alone moved over 2.8 million units in the time since it launched. Across the three existing models of Switch, over 26.5 million units have been sold in Japan over the platform's lifetime. Switch titles made up 8 of the top 10 best-selling games for the week. Splatoon 3 led the way, along with the Switch version of Persona 5 Royal. The top-selling PS5 game for the week was Gran Turismo 7, followed by the PS5 edition of Persona 5 Royal.

Uncharted pc patch 1.1 releaseGame version 1.1 marks the first patch for Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves PC collection. And even though the game launched in a good state, timely improvements are always welcome. The patch notes are short and to the point with a bulleted list of what's new. As far as gameplay changes go, Naughty Dog updated the way mouse input works to use raw input in order to improve the feel and responsiveness. This will no doubt improve the experience for everyone with a better feeling game. Adding to this, the patch notes also mention stability and performance optimizations. If you encountered any crashes or stutters, this might be your fix. Additionally, you can expect some higher framerates to make those action sequences feel a bit more immersive.   The rest is relatively minor but still worth mentioning. Naughty Dog also removed frame rate dependency for mouse camera sensitivity, updated the settings menu for the HDR option to grey out if your display doesn't...

Scorn PatchScorn is a sci-fi puzzle survival horror that recently released on Xbox and PC. However, the enigmatic and often gruesome first-person experience wasn't without its faults. Various bugs, including save file problems, accompanied its release. Today, a new patch has launched for Scorn, promising a fix to a slew of issues for PC players. The new Scorn patch, version 1.1.8.0, has a fairly long list of bug squashes. These fixes range anywhere from localization fixes to field of view (FOV) sliders working as intended for ultra-widescreen monitors. There are a number of which that hope to remedy the player experience overall. For example, one listed issue addresses simple game progression issues like not being able to pick up a dropped item after killing the boss in Act V. Others fixes should lessen the frustration by making sure players don't fall through the floor when in "certain positions." Crushing crashes Other notable items addressed in the patch should help if ...

Mount And Blade Ii Review (10)I was there when TaleWorlds boldly released Mount & Blade with an appreciable amount of troops, and I was there when the game was iterated upon by the developers and transformed by modders. Now, I am here to review Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Bannerlord takes us back to ancient Calradia, set a few hundred years before the (not) Baltics region we know from the first game took shape. The Empire has broken into three squabbling pieces. Vlandians, Battanians, and other outsiders fight them as much as they fight each other. And at the same time, raiders kill your parents and steal your siblings! Mount the mount and take the blade, it's time to get some justice. And if that leads to a permanent rearrangement of the political makeup of the continent, oh well. I put on my robe and Plumed Southern Helmet As Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord builds upon everything that was great about the previous titles, it also finally graces us with a campaign, even if it's very hands-off. Previ...
