Destiny 2 Nightfall weapons – what is the Nightfall weapon this week?

Want to know what this week's Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon is? Each week you've got a chance at a different weapon for completing Nightfall Strikes, and ever since Season of the Lost, fan-favourite legacy weapons from the original Destiny has been added to the rotation. New seasons often introduce new weapons into the rotation, so it's more important than ever to know in advance the Nightfall weapon schedule.

Nightfall: The Ordeal is a playlist available in the Vanguard menu, alongside the basic Strike playlist in the free PC game. Each week, a different Strike is chosen as the Nightfall, and offered in five escalating difficulties, with harder enemies, challenging modifiers, and enemy power levels cranking up. The coveted Nightfall weapons have a chance to drop from any Nightfall Strike difficulty, but it's far more likely at higher levels, which is something you'll want to maximise your chances for with the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date on the horizon. Your best bet for farming each week's Nightfall weapon is to set the Strike to Master difficulty. You should also note that there's no automatic matchmaking above Hero difficulty, however, so you'll need to get a squad together.

FFXIV Valentine's event is the self-love letter I needed growing up

I hate Valentine's Day. Every year it's some overly cringy Hallmark expression of 'love' that equates real human feelings to gifts, love hearts, chocolates, and absolutely dreadful romantic comedies. Even the best PC games have been lured into this sugar-coated, rose-tinted world, offering a vast array of different Valentine's cosmetics for players to pick up to twin with their in-game crush. This year, though, the FFXIV Valentine's event finally broke that mould.

GTA 6 release date rumours, news, and speculation

Want to know more about the GTA 6 release date? Given how many years it takes to create open worlds of the same calibre as GTA V, it's no surprise that Rockstar Games has already spent years developing GTA 6. Like most developers, Rockstar prefers to keep its secrets close to its chest until they're close to the end of development, so we may not see any official GTA 6 gameplay for some time.

Early gameplay footage of GTA 6 recently surfaced online, along with lines of source code from the game itself. Rockstar has issued a statement on Twitter which confirms that an unauthorised third party managed to access and download information from their systems, including development footage for the open-world game. However, its statement notes that the developers don't believe this leak should impact the development of their long-term projects or disrupt their live service games.

Is Diagon Alley in Hogwarts Legacy?

Is Diagon Alley in Hogwarts Legacy for your shopping needs and sword-crossing dispute negotiations, or is the famous location omitted from the magical RPG? Well, there are certainly plenty of places to pick up your educational supplies, but these are mostly dotted around the legendary Hogsmeade in Scotland - far from the London streets in which Diagon Alley is located.

The Hogwarts Legacy map might be huge, but is it big enough to extend across the UK? Floo Flame locations would give us the ability to travel between the two, but this doesn't necessarily mean the secrets of Diagon Alley are available to us in Hogwarts Legacy.

You know, I always figured I'd be great at making potions. As a kid, I was obsessed with pulling things out of cupboards and combining them into a bowl. Shampoo, bubble bath and toothpaste. Salad cream, yeast and lemonade. These concoctions were the result of pure genius, a brilliant mind capable of harmonising with ingredients on a sub-atomic level to create combinations that were beyond the capabilities of any known god. My Mam was only shouting at me because she didn't understand. These were my elixirs! Sup from this bowl and taste the future of human evolution! Yes, I know this is the same bowl we're also sick into when we're not feeling well, but you also bake in it so let's not start being picky.

As I got older, It became apparent my future was not in alchemy. Someone who puts baby corn into a bolognese clearly doesn't posses the skill to create balanced mixtures. And yet, Potionomics has wrenched the rotting corpse of that childhood fantasy right out of its grave. Finally, here is a suitable outlet for my feats of fantastical alchemy.

Best Fire Emblem Engage Bond Rings a windsweep

While Fire Emblem Engage isn't a gacha game, it does have a gacha mechanic with its Bond Rings. When in the Emblem Ring chamber and menu in The Somniel, it is possible to use Bond Fragments to get Bond Rings. So here are some S-rank Bond Rings you should shoot for in Fire Emblem Engage, especially Alm's Windsweep and Claude's Wind God.

Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for some Fire Emblem Engage Bond Rings below.

  • Alm: If you get the Alm Bond Ring, you also get the skill Windsweep, which is the only way you can get this Fire Emblem Engage skill. If someone is using a sword and attacked an enemy, it will look at your luck stat. There's a chance, which is your character's luck%, that the enemy can't counter. Celica needs to be in your roster to get this one.
  • Chrom: If you have Lucina around, try for the S-rank Chrom Bond Ring. This gives you the Rightful Ruler. As the in-game description says, it "adds +5% to trigger rate for all skills with trigger rates." Make sure whoever gets this Bond Ring has skills with %-based trigger rates.
  • Claude: All three of the Fire Emblem: Three Houses leaders have useful Bond Rings in Fire Emblem Engage. Claude's S-rank skill is Wind God. The official description is self-explanatory. "If unit's HP=100%, grants range +1 with bows." If you have Byleth, you can try and create this ring.
  • Dimitri: The Dimitri S-rank Bond Ring essentially gives you Canter/Canto in Fire Emblem Engage. Paraselene lets you move one space away from an enemy after you attack them. It can be tactically advantageous, due to allowing someone to get away for a bit. If Byleth is around, you can try and get this ring.
  • Edelgard: An S-rank Edelgard Bond Ring gives you a chance of freezing a foe temporarily with Flickering Flower. When the character with this bond ring attacks, that amount of damage becomes the percentage chance of this skill triggering. So if the person dealt 25 damage to the enemy, there'd be a 25% chance that foe would end up frozen. This is yet another Byleth Bond Ring.
  • Marisa: Lethality is her S-rank Bond Ring skill, and it can be worth getting. There's a 30% chance you'll automatically kill any ordinary enemy you fight when this ring is equipped. (It won't work against a boss.) It is one of the Eirika Emblem Bond Rings.
  • Olwen: The S-rank Leif Bond Ring is great if you get a mage and give the highest forged possible Thunder tome to them. That's because Dire Thunder lets that unit with Thunder attack twice, rather than once.
  • Ryoma: Once you have the Corrin Emblem Ring, try getting the Ryoma S-rank Bond Ring. It has the skill Bushido. While equipped, you get +10 to a character's Crit stat if that unit is at a higher level than an enemy. They'll also deal two more damage than they usually would and take two less damage from enemy attacks.
  • Seliph: The Seliph S-rank Bond Ring includes the Battlewise skill. If the character attacking an enemy defeats them, they get +1 to their Crit stat. This lasts until the end of the battle, and you can get up to a 10 point bonus. Seliph is a Sigurd Bond Ring.
  • Xander: Xander is another Corrin Bond Ring worth getting the S-rank version of. Its Chivalry skill lets you deal two more damage than usual and take two less damage if the enemy you attack's health is full. However, if the enemy attacks first or you attack an already injured enemy, you don't get that buff.

As a reminder, to get an S-rank Bond Ring in Fire Emblem Engage, you can either roll for one or combine ones you already have to get the best version of it. It is 100 Bond Fragments to "roll" for one ring, and 1,000 to roll for ten. To meld them, you need both multiples of the rings and Bond Fragments. So getting to an Alm Windsweep S-rank ring in Fire Emblem Engage would mean start with, say, two Alm C-rank rings and 100 Bond Fragments to start that journey. To get Alm S, you'd need 4 Alm A Bond Rings and 10,000 Bond Fragments.

Fire Emblem Engage is available for the Nintendo Switch.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

Square Enix's Theatrhythm Final Bar Line blends RPG elements with traditional rhythm game gameplay. While the series lived on for some time in Japan through an arcade cabinet exclusive release, the latest title in the series will appear on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Siliconera was given the opportunity to talk to several key members of the development team, including Producer Ichiro Hazama, Series Director Masanobu Suzui, and Director Tsukasa Okayasu.

Kazuma Hashimoto: Did you expect international audiences to be so excited when Theatrhythm Final Bar Line was announced?

Masanobu Suzui: We were definitely very nervous and excited at the same time. It has been quite some time since the release of a title within the Theatrhythm series, with the last one being eleven years ago in 2012. It's been around eight years since the release of the last Final Fantasy-related title in the series. But it's been great for us to know that the fans have had such a positive reaction to the announcement of this game, and some of us on the production and development side of the game are very excited as well. Some of us are still nervous and wondering if people will buy the game, if they will enjoy it, so there are definitely those kinds of heightened emotions are at play.

What impacted your decision to include songs from other popular or classic Square Enix titles into Theatrhythm Final Bar Line?

Suzui: So regarding the title, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, the "final bar line" refers to the very last line of a musical score. And this title has been conceived by Tetsuya Nomura, so we went into it thinking that this would be the very last Theatrhythm tile that we were going to create. So this increased the number of Final Fantasy-related songs we wanted to include, and on top of that we thought that we would want to include songs from other Square Enix titles as well, just because this will be the very last one. So for other Square Enix title games this was going to be handled by the DLC.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

What went into balancing the multiplayer mode given that players can create their own teams of characters that have unique abilities and roles in Theatrhythm?

Suzui: What the development team was looking into was really diving into the RPG elements of this rhythm action game. So it's really intended to be a consumer game, not just a rhythm game, but we wanted to play on the RPG elements where players can raise and strengthen their characters as a gameplay element as well.

And as for the multiplayer aspect, there's an interesting part in going into battle where you can get really strategic with how you approach it using the characters in your party. For example, you can strive for a maximum HP build and making sure that you're never defeated, or you can focus on offense — attacking enemies, and launching summons. There are many different ways you can play, this includes defeating bosses.

So, keeping in mind the different character abilities, there are many different ways to strategize, which is the central concept of the game, especially for multiplayer.

Are there any songs from other Square Enix titles you would like to see added if another Theatrhythm game were to be released in the future?

Suzui: There are many things that we wanted to include, which include some songs from animes. But due to many differing opinions within the team, along with legal reasons, we started out with a masterlist, and chose and selected from there. There were definitely some strong personal opinions that loved certain songs, but there were a lot of discussions that went into determining the final list, along with input from players as well.

As for one song, there was a staff member that really wanted the songs from Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light included. This didn't get realized until twelve years later, but now they're finally included. And it's been really exciting.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

Are there any Final Fantasy characters the team would like to add in any future installments that didn't make it into Final Bar Line?

Suzui: Yes, definitely. We can say the same for the characters as well, but we did decide that you would need a minimum of four characters from each of the numbered titles, being Final Fantasy I through Final Fantasy XV. For example, from Final Fantasy IV or VI that has a huge number of characters, there are many more that could be included, but due to many passionate discussions with the team, it became a final list of the characters that you see today.

What was the decision to add antagonists from the Final Fantasy series as party members?

Suzui: Hazama has been the producer for Dissidia, so coming from that background he really wanted the villains to be playable. That went into the decision of making the antagonists playable, also they're strong characters so it could be a lot of fun to raise them and grow them in the game and that was his thinking behind the decision.

Depending on sales, is there a chance Theatrhythm: Final Bar Line will appear on PC or Microsoft platforms?

Ichiro Hazama: There are no current plans for PC release. Obviously, a PC release wouldn't be ready for its February launch, but it's something that we'll take into consideration.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line releases on February 16, 2023 on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, and DLC will appear in multiple season passes.

See Resident Evil: Death Island Movie for the First Time

In 2023, the Resident Evil: Vendetta CG sequel movie Resident Evil: Death Island will appear. However, people can get a peek at it ahead of launch. The first teaser trailer appeared, showing off what Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy will have to deal with in the new film. [Thanks, IGN!]

This trailer is an incredibly brief one. It spends 30 seconds showing off some major characters, locations, and enemies in the Resident Evil: Death Island movie. Things begin in Alcatraz Island. A number of zombies are lumbering through the prison. Then, we see Leon S. Kennedy on the street, checking a phone and looking at records that show Alcatraz and note some infected people, like a person named Shiosawa, went to the prison. After that, we see somebody putting down a coffee cup with the name "Rebecca" on it, perhaps referring to Rebecca Chambers. After that, we see what looks like Chris Redfield heading on a ferry to Alcatraz.

From there, the video gets more unsettling. Some infected, mutated creatures are let loose in a cage underwater. There are also zombies throughout the prison, assaulting visitors. There also appears to be a woman with short hair, hidden in shadows, walking down a staircase. At the very end, it looks like Jill Valentine is practicing at a gun range.

Asa reminder, the movie Resident Evil: Vendetta appeared in 2017. It featured Rebecca, Chris, and Leon dealing with a new zombie outbreak and the Animality Virus (A-Virus). Their goal is to deal with the new zombies and distributor of the virus, in the hopes of protecting New York City and innocent people from the attack. It is available to stream on Netflix and buy on Amazon.

Resident Evil: Death Island will appear in Summer 2023 outside Japan.

Genshin Impact: Official Art Book Volume 1 Listing Appears on Amazon

It seems we could see a Genshin Impact art book outside Asia, as Amazon shared a listing for Genshin Impact: Official Art Book Volume 1 . Both $35 hardcover physical and $17.99 digital Kindle copies are listed as available. Harper and HoYoVerse have yet to make any official announcements regarding the localization of the book. Amazon's listing notes that this art book will be 208 pages long. There's also no cover art available yet, to help provide any hint as to whether this could be a localization of the already available book. However, while there is the difference in pages, the two titles are similar.

People who get the Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 1 battle pass will also get a chance to dress like Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series. A crossover is a part of the quests in-game. There will be two pages of Geralt's Battle Pass Quests available in the game. However, only page 1 with six themed rewards is now available. However, you do need to pay 950 V-Bucks to get the battle pass, and 1,000 V-Bucks is $7.99.

Five of the items can be earned through actions in matches. The easiest one to get would probably be the Igni Sign Emote, as it involves using an emote when in the Citadel Throne Room. You can also get a Geralt of Rivia Loading Screen by activating reality augments in five matches, and a Muscle Memory Spray for finishing three bounties. Should you manage to defeat a boss, you get Weapons of the Witcher Back Bling. A Witcher's Steel Sword Pickaxe is given out for 500 melee weapon damage across various matches. When you've acquired all five items, you get the Geralt of Rivia Outfit.

Witcher Crossover Brings Geralt Battle Pass Rewards to Fortnite

Page 2 of the Geralt's Battle Pass Quests in Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 1 will be available on February 28, 2023. Epic Games didn't note what items and characters could appear there. Other notable characters in the Witcher series include Yennefer and Ciri.

Fortnite is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and mobile devices, and the Witcher Geralt Battle Pass page 1 quests can be completed now. Some other recent crossovers involved Junji Ito and Dragon Ball Super.

Genshin Impact EP Music Video Stars Yelan

Now that the Yelan rerun banner is live in Genshin Impact, HoYoVerse released a new EP music video with songs associated with her and the Liyue region. "Night of Dice-Twirling Musings" is now available on YouTube. This is a brief, three-track video.

As expected from an EP associated with Yelan, it only involves scenes from the Liyue region. There are also only Genshin Impact characters from that area there. The first song to appear in it is "Lone Drifter." During it, Ninguang and Yelan sit relaxing, overlooking the city. The second track involves the exterior of the Chasm area. "Wandering Clouds" is more about showing off the environment. However, for "Silent Starry Night," people can see Yelan sitting at a table in one of the underground Chasm areas in Genshin Impact.

Here's the full "Night of Dice-Twirling Musings" Genshin Impact music video.

Byleth Is the Best (and Most Broken) Fire Emblem Engage Emblem Ring

Fire Emblem Engage has lots of Emblem Rings that are useful or helpful. There's no right or wrong partnership. Not to mention with all the skills available, you don't really want to lock in to certain pairings or people. But there's one pretty much undisputed truth, and that involves one of the Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters. Byleth ended up being pretty much the best and most broken Emblem Ring in Fire Emblem Engage. But the thing is, it's in the best way possible and, even though it could give an unfair advantage, it still only really benefits someone if they play wisely.

Editor's Note: There will be Fire Emblem Engage spoilers, especially regarding the Byleth Emblem Ring, below.

Byleth Is the Best (and Most Broken) Fire Emblem Engage Emblem Ring
So you first get the Byleth Emblem Ring in Fire Emblem Engage in Chapter 14. Which is good, because that forces you to both learn how to play and not exploit his special ability. You've established yourself by this point. However, you also still are at a point where Emblem Rings are scarce for the party. So you'd definitely in need of an extra one that can be incredibly effective.

Which is good, because Byleth's Engage Skill is incredible for allies. It ends up giving people within two spaces a buff. What buff do they get? It depends on their current class. So if you have Alear or Veyle nearby, then all of their stats will get +3 added to them. The best buffs go to cavalry units and Qi Adepts, as the former get +10 dexterity and latter get +10 luck. However, everyone gets some boost. So an armored unit getting +5 to defense is still a big deal, as is a backup character getting an extra +4 strength to assist with Chain Attacks or mystical ones getting +4 to magic so spells hit harder. Also, covert characters get +5 to speed, while flying units get +5 to resistance.

Byleth also has some great skills to learn. Mentorship helps when you need to level up some characters, as the person who has it and everyone around them gets 1.2 EXP. Lost & Found makes it easier to unlock Support conversations and stock up on items, since your luck stat determines if you find something and get closer to an ally next to you. Divine Pulse is the most useful, regardless of which tier is learned, as it will make an attack that would have missed, hit. Especially since it relies on the character's luck stat and has Luck+ skills ranging from Luck +2 to Luck +12.

But while all that is great, it isn't why Byleth is the best Fire Emblem Engage Emblem Ring character. No, he's the best because of Goddess Dance.

Byleth Is the Best (and Most Broken) Fire Emblem Engage Emblem Ring

Goddess Dance is the Engage Attack Byleth can use once per battle when engaged with a character in Fire Emblem Engage, and it is the best. When used, the four characters to the front, back, and left and right sides of the person equipping Byleth all get to act again. It's, as the name suggests, a "dance" skill. There's also, again, a buff doled out depending on the classes of the characters the person "engaged" with Byleth danced for. So if Alear was next to a person who used it, then they get +3 to all stats for the turn. Likewise, the same Instruct buffs mentioned are applied to other classes. It just makes a person's Fire Emblem Engage army a force to be reckoned with.

However, while this does mean Byleth is possibly the best Fire Emblem Engage Emblem Ring out there, it does still mean playing smart. You need to make sure you arrange units properly to take advantage of the range. So you have to leave a space in the center of four characters for the person with Byleth equipped. You also need to know when to use it, since you can only perform Goddess Dance once per battle. This meant in my case, I often made Ivy, Hortensia, or Rosado equip Byleth. Them all being fliers meant it would be easy to get them to reach a group of four who could use Goddess Dance. Since two of them were always guaranteed ranged units, it also meant they'd be in a good position to retaliate on the enemy turn after making that move.

It all comes down to Byleth being a fantastic Fire Emblem Engage Emblem Ring, with Goddess Dance and Instruct abilities that help make other characters better. It helps give you more tactical options, which is always good. Not to mention the buffs are helpful. At the same time, it ties into the fact that Byleth is an instructor, as it means he's aiding others to make them stronger, rather than showing off himself.

Fire Emblem Engage is available for the Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix revealed new FFVII Remake watches inspired by Aerith and Tifa. Both will debut in Japan and North America. The Japanese release is first, of course, as both models will appear there on April 29, 2023. They are each expected to appear in the US in August 2023. However, each model will cost over $300.

The FFVII Remake Aerith watch is the cheaper of the two. It costs 35,200円/$319.99. It features pink leather straps designed to be the same color as Aerith's ribbon. There is also a pink "bow" on the mother of pearl watch face, as well as a green orb that resembles materia. The second hand has a flower on it, referencing the ones she sell. On the back of the watch, there is the Final Fantasy VII Remake logo.

Here's a closer look at that model.
[gallery size="full" ids="949963,949964,949965" link="file"]

The Tifa FFVII Remake watch, however, is 38,500円/$349.99. It features black leather straps that look like look like her suspenders. There is a white watch face, which is the same color as her shirt, and it features the name of the Seventh Heaven bar embossed on it. There's also a black logo for the bar in the center of the face. There are also silver accents. Unlike the Aerith watch, it features glow-in-the-dark elements. As with the Aerith watch, however, the Tifa one features the game's logo on the back.

Here's the Tifa watch.
[gallery columns="4" size="full" ids="949968,949969,949967,949970" link="file"]

These tend to be standard price points for Square Enix watches. For example, the Advent Children ones were also $350. However, there were also high-end, $2,500 watches inspired by the series at one point.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC. The FFVII Remake Aerith and Tifa watches will come to North America in August 2023. They will launch in Japan on April 29, 2023.

Tekken 8 closed trial alpha

According to Tekken Series Director Katsuhiro Harada, a Tekken 8 Closed Trial will take place during the EVO Japan Tekken 7 competition. Players who register to join EVO Japan and play Tekken 7 will be authorized to participate in the Tekken 8 local alpha. There they'll experience of the game's updated mechanics and fighters like Jun Kazama and Nina Williams.

Harada made the announcement as he greeted the Tekken community following the Tekken World Tour 2022 Grand Finals held Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

https://twitter.com/Harada_TEKKEN/status/1622682183105396736

After a fan requested clarification on what Harada meant by the Tekken 8 closed trial, Harada explained that the test would be a "closed alpha test" using local play. It will be held within the venue for EVO Japan's final region competition. The Tekken team is doing this because it needs to use an ideal test environment and ensure playability and control over the player profiles participating. As for online tests or builds that can be redeemed via store code, those would be arranged during the "beta" phase of development.

In game development lingo, "alpha" is typically used to refer to a game that has had all its major features implemented, such as gameplay systems and modes. Smaller features, revisions, cuts, and adjustments are still pending, and not all assets (such as art and models) are complete. Games in beta stage have their assets and features completed, and enter rigorous testing to reveal bugs, exploits, and performance issues. Many games release beta builds to segments of the playerbase or general public to gather feedback, metrics, and other data that takes advantage of the large mass of available players.

Tekken 8 is in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. It has not release window as of yet. The Tekken 8 closed trial, aka local alpha test, will take place at EVO Japan, which runs from March 31, 2023 to April 2, 2023.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Sales

Nintendo's regular financial report is in, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sales have topped its charts for 2022. The games went on sale late in the year, but despite coming out in November 2022, by the year's end they had already moved 20.61 million units. These numbers include all worldwide sales over both physical and digital copies, as well as copies bundled with Switch hardware. The figures cement Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as the fastest-selling games on a Nintendo platform in history.

That said, overall sales for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are still behind Pokemon Sword and Shield. Released in November 2019, the Galar-set titles boast a lifetime sales number of over 25 million copies. And both games' status as mainstay titles pales behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which came out way back in April 2017. Despite this it still managed to sell 6.3 million more copies in 2022, bringing its lifetime total on the Switch to over 52 million copies sold.

According to comments from Nintendo, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sales might have been even higher if the outlook were better for the Switch platform as a whole. Nintendo reported that it missed its sales targets for the console in 2022, and declared that the Switch hardware was on a "downward" trend. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa did say he believed there was still "strong demand" for the Switch, and did not say whether or not the company intends to unveil a successor or update to the hardware soon.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch. The next round of Tera Raid battles will focus on Tandemaus.

Splatoon 3 sales

Splatoon 3 is on the way to succeeding Splatoon 2. According to Nintendo's regular Consolidated Financial Highlights report released on February 7, 2023, the online shooter sequel sold just over 10 million units since its release in September 2022. As of December 31, 2022 Splatoon 3 sales marked 10.13 million units sold. By comparison, it took Splatoon 2 nine months to pass 6 million copies sold, from its release in July 2017 to the end of Nintendo's financial year in March 2018.

The Nintendo report covers the nine-month period ending in December 31, 2022. That's why the latest Splatoon 3 sales figure doesn't include sales numbers from January 2023. The sales numbers, however, include all copies sold across physical and digital storefronts, as well as copies included as part of a bundle. In the April to December 2022 period, Splatoon 3 was the 2nd place sales leader of all Nintendo first-party games. The leaders were Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which count as one entry. In 3rd place was Nintendo Switch Sports, which sold 7.9 million copies. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 placed 5th with 1.5 million copies sold, placing behind soccer title Mario Strikers Battle League. Upon its release, Splatoon 3 broke sales records as one of the fastest-selling Nintendo games ever, moving nearly 8 million copies in just 21 days from its release.

If things are looking rosy for the Splatoon franchise, things are looking a little more difficult for Nintendo as a whole. In the same report and a subsequent investor call, Nintendo cut its revenue outlook for the coming year. It said that it missed its hardware sales targets for the end of 2022, and reduced its sales forecast for the Switch in 2023 from 19 million consoles sold to about 18 million.

Splatoon 3 is available on the Nintendo Switch. The next scheduled Splatfest event will kick off on February 11, 2023, and focus on chocolate ahead of Valentine's Day.

First Nintendo Direct of 2023 Will Air This Week

Nintendo announced that it will hold the first 2023 Nintendo Direct on February 8, 2023. It announced the presentation on Twitter. People can tune in at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET. As usual, people will be able to watch it on the official YouTube account.

Switch games will be the focus of the 40 minute February 2023 Nintendo Direct. The company didn't announce which ones could appear. However, we do have an idea of which first-party titles could appear in the showcase. Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe could get a new trailer, as it will be out on February 24, 2023. Bayonetta Origins is also likely, as it debuts in March 2023. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is expected in May 2023. Nintendo also has Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp waiting for a new release date. Not to mention we haven't heard from Metroid Prime 4 or Pikmin 4 in quite a while.

The last "Direct" style presentation to appear and focus on games was a November 2022 Indie World. However, a handful of indie titles were also showcased and revealed over the course of a few days in December 2022. There was also a Super Mario Bros Movie Direct in November 2022 that showed the film's second trailer.

The first Nintendo Direct of 2023 will air on February 8, 2023 at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET.

Hogwarts Legacy Multiple EndingsHogwarts Legacy is a large-scale RPG set in the Wizarding World. You'll be able to make all sorts of choices that impact your time at Hogwarts. But a question lingering on everyone's minds is what kind of ending, or endings, they should expect. And it looks like Hogwarts Legacy does indeed have multiple endings. We've actually known that Hogwarts Legacy would feature multiple endings for a while. The game's director, Alan Tew, confirmed this in a gameplay showcase last November. He confirmed that the player's choices will matter in the grand scheme of Hogwarts Legacy. In particular, he said "some of those things can affect things game-wide. Some of these affect the characters' lives and the ending of the game." However, he didn't exactly mention how these endings were unlocked. They may be triggered by various actions throughout the game, or something much simpler than that. Hogwarts Legacy has multiple endings What makes Hogwarts Legac...

Hogwarts Legacy Houses School InteriorUpon starting Hogwarts Legacy, you will have to make a decision on which House you can join. Each of the game's four Houses provides the player with its own aesthetic touches and minor gameplay benefits, so it pays to pick the one that best suits your preferences. However, it's only natural that some players may change their minds about the Houses they want to choose. If you want to know how, or even if, you can change Houses in Hogwarts Legacy, and how to change it via the Wizarding World, this guide will give you the answers you need. Can you change Houses in the game? Sadly, Hogwarts Legacy does not provide players with an easy or conventional method in-game for changing their preferred Houses. By default, once you choose which House to join at the start of the game, you cannot reverse this decision. To play the game with a different House, you'll need to make a new character. Ahead of playing, however, you can pick a house using the Wizarding World website. Aft...
