December 8, 2023: Updated the whole Fortnite map to the Chapter 5 Season 1 island.

What does the Fortnite map look like? It's time for yet another new island as we speed into Chapter 5 Season 1, meaning that we've got an entirely fresh set of locations to memorize. Luckily, there aren't all that many named places to learn at first and the themes seem to be relatively similar to what we've seen before.

As the battle royale game is constantly in flux, everything in this guide probably will change throughout the season. This goes also for the many Fortnite weapons, which have now completely changed and now include attachments. So, pull up a chair as we go through the changes to come to the Fortnite map in Chapter 5 Season 1.

Unraveling a good mystery brings a satisfaction like almost no other, whether it be in a more explicit format like Return of the Obra Dinn, Disco Elysium, or Danganronpa, or a more roundabout manner such as Outer Wilds or What Remains of Edith Finch. The Case of the Golden Idol is one of the most successful examples of top-notch murder mystery adventure games in recent memory, earning itself a very worthy 98% Steam rating. As developer Color Gray Games announces its '70s sequel, you can grab the excellent first game at a big discount.

What are the best The Finals crosshairs? Crosshairs are one of the most important things to consider when embarking on your FPS career, especially when the stakes are as high as they are in The Finals. The right crosshairs could make all the difference between winning and losing.

It's hard to say what the best crosshairs look like, as it mostly comes down to personal preference. The most important tip is something that is clear on the FPS game's maps, with a common parallel among professional FPS players being a color that stands out, usually blue or green. That said, The Finals maps are pretty bright themselves, so you might want to play around with what works best using our The Finals best crosshair settings and guidance below.

How do you get Lego Fortnite marble? So you've managed to build up your settlement to a decent size, but one thing eludes you. Relying on wood and granite for so long, it's easy to miss that there are other resources you can use to make better quality and more durable buildings. That is where marble comes in, and you can find the second-tier stone material in a rather familiar place.

If you've already managed to get some Lego Fortnite knotroot, you're pretty much there already. That said, this new survival game mode for Fortnite is proving to be a bit more complex than anyone initially anticipated, and since you need marble to increase your Lego Fortnite village level, we're on hand to explain exactly where you need to go to get Lego Fortnite marble, and how to mine it.

Typically, we associate videogames with fun, freedom, and escapism. But sometimes you want an experience that's entirely different, the brutal realities of life writ large and made grotesque. The best survival games make you feel alive because you're constantly skirting so close to death. Horde supplies. Build ramshackle shelters and weapons. Make tough decisions. Somewhere between horror, puzzle games, and RPGs lies the ideal survive-'em-up - if you were waiting for The Day Before, but you've found yourself underwhelmed by its eventual early access release, one of the greatest multiplayer survival games ever is now yours for less than the price of lunch.

December 08, 2023: We added SIX new NBA2k24 locker codes.

What are the active NBA 2k24 codes? Every new game in the 2K sports series has a selection of freebies given away, and the latest in 2K's basketball games is no exception. There are plenty of NBA 2K24 locker codes to redeem for new player cards, XP boosts, and MyPlayer gear, among others. However, you'll need to quickly snag them for yourself.

This is because many of the early NBA 2k24 codes are exclusive to relatively small thresholds of players. Some freebies in this series of sports games come and go like whispers in the wind, so you need to act fast. However, we're now starting to get some freebies that are sticking around for longer, so we've gathered these NBA 2k24 locker codes to hopefully give you a little boost.

Let's get something out of the way nice and early. No one expected The Day Before to shake up the games industry, at least not in a positive sense. Controversy surrounded this game from the very beginning, but I held some hope that the final product, whatever it was, would at least be playable. How wrong I was.

While traditional controllers are fine for many types of games, when you need better control, more directional accuracy, and greater tactile feedback, only the best fight stick will do.

It's always important to make sure you've got the best PC controller for the job, and just as a PC steering wheel can make a huge difference for racing games, fight sticks, or arcade sticks, can enhance your experience in racing or retro games.

They're much more comfortable, natural and satisfying to operate, sharing out the button and stick inputs across your arms and hands rather than relying primarily on your thumbs. Trust us, when you're spamming hadoukens on Street Fighter, your thumbs will be thankful for a fight stick.

For our money, we'd plump for the Nacon Daija, a pricey stick that exudes quality and craftsmanship. Its Sanwa quality parts also offer that unmistakable arcade feel. However, you can get your hands on decent sticks for a fair bit less, such as the 8Bitdo Arcade Stick or Hori Fight Stick Alpha. Additionally, the Qanba Drone is our pick of the budget options, and handily you can swap out the parts for better components - you can find overviews of them all below.

If you were waiting for Starfield multiplayer, you're going to have to wait a little longer - or perhaps relinquish hope entirely. The creator of one of the definitive Skyrim mods, Skyrim Together, has abandoned development of a version for the new Bethesda RPG, saying that they refuse to "put my heart and soul into a mod for a game as mediocre as this." Skyrim Together allows for online co-op play in The Elder Scrolls V, with the provisionally titled Starfield Together originally intended to make multiplayer possible across the Settled Systems. Whether the Starfield mod will ever see the light of day is now in doubt, however.

Are The Finals servers down? As countless 'Contestants' swarm to The Finals all hoping to reach the finals of this fictional game show, there could be some chaos on the game's servers, alongside the chaos of the gameplay itself.

Leverless, all-button controllers, or hitboxes - whatever you want to call them - are the latest trend in fighting controllers, and the Razer Kitsune is the first officially licensed device of its kind to hit the market. Arcade sticks have always been synonymous with fighting games, but there's been a silent revolution occurring over the past decade as more players continue to make the switch over to all-button options.

Before the launch of the Razer Kitsune, it was very difficult to get your hands on a PC controller like this. I purchased the One-Zero, my first all-button controller, from a custom arcade enclosure designer in the UK back in 2019. Even now, it's difficult to purchase a leverless fight stick device without jumping through all manner of hoops regarding import fees and taxes.

Coming in at $299.99 / £299.99, the Razer Kitsune isn't the cheapest all-button controller you can find online, but in some instances, it might be the only one you can purchase easily. Razer has learned from the history of other all-button controllers to create something that's both desirable and in many ways, completely unique.

Does The Finals have cross progression? Competing in the arena has its positives; you play for fame and fortune, the adoration of the fans, and of course, a slew of beautiful cosmetic items. As you're hard at work dominating your opponents and earning the best in-game items and The Finals Battle Pass rewards, you might be wondering if your unlocks are available across all platforms, especially given that The Finals is a free PC game. It's a welcome change from dusty radiation or goddamn elves again, and the RPG structure feels flexible and fairly responsive to your actions even before you start picking sides and ideologies. It hasn't quite stolen my heart, but it may well steal some of my christmas.

Palia Switch Release Date Falls During Next Week

During The Game Awards 2023, Singularity 6 shared the Palia Switch release date and a trailer for that version of the game. The life sim will be free-to-play on the console starting on December 14, 2023.

The announcement also reaffirmed some of the things people can expect from the Switch release. For people playing Palia on the PC, they will be able to carry over progress. The Switch version will support cross-saves. Also, PC and Switch players will be able to play together via cross-play.

There will also be rewards for people who are currently playing on the PC and link their account. However, one of those items will be limited-time offers. If you link an account by January 15, 2023, you get a Leap Froggy Outfit. However, linking at any time gets someone the Mushroom Glider.

Also, all Palia players will apparently get a special log-in reward. Between December 14, 2023 and an unspecified date in March 2024, everyone gets a Froggy Bucket.

Here's The Game Awards 2023 Palia trailer. It begins by showing the town and some of teh NPCs people will meet. Then, it shows activities like gathering resources, crafting, decorating a homestead, farming, and cooking. After that, it goes on to show what it's like to play with other people, as someone can go through the live sim alone or with other players. At the very end, it shows the Froggy Bucket, Leap Froggy Outfit, and Mushroom Glider.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEARARPNS6I&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

However, this trailer doesn't show some of the new content coming to Palia. Its Winter Update is about to arrive. That will bring various holiday and seasonal events, quests, and items to the game.

The Palia Switch release date is December 14, 2023. The game is immediately available via PCs. The game is free-to-play on every platform.

Harvest Moon 64 and Jet Force Gemini Join Nintendo Switch Online

The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack now includes Harvest Moon 64, Jet Force Gemini, and 1080 Snowboarding. All three are immediately available on the higher tier of the subscription service, following a tease about an update.

Harvest Moon 64 launched on the N64 back in 1999 worldwide. As usual, it tasks players with taking over a grandfather's farm and building a new life for themselves in a small town. This installment was one of the first to add a stamina system. Also, the love interests this time around are Ann, Ellie, Karen, Maria, and Popuri.

Jet Force Gemini is a Rare shooter that showed up on the N64 in 1999 as well. It can be played alone or with a partner, though it is also possible to go through one mode with four people competing. It tasks players with helping Juno, Vela, and Lupus go through different planets to stop an invasion headed by Mizar.

Of the three games, Nintendo's 1080 Snowboarding is the oldest. It came to the N64 in 1998. Players snowboard through five different modes, either alone or against others, with some focusing on tricks and the others on actually racing.

Here's a trailer showing off all three games on the Switch. It offers an idea of how each will run on the system.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIgQ9NFJtzU&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

As a reminder, the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is the higher tier. The base subscription is $19.99 for a single user for one year. The individual Expansion Pack brings the price up to $49.99 per year. In addition to the N64 games, people get access to GBA games, Genesis games, and DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2.

Harvest Moon 64, Jet Force Gemini, and 1080 Snowboarding are available on the Nintendo Switch via the NSO Expansion Pack worldwide now.

Hololive Shirogane Noel figure

Good Smile Company and Phat! Company opened pre-orders for the upcoming 1/7 scale figure of the Hololive VTuber Shirogane Noel. The figure will be available in Japan with a price tag of ¥29,800, and people residing in the U.S. and Canada can place orders for the figure on Good Smile Online Shop US for $187.99.

The 1/7 scale static figure of Noel, who is officially 158cm (5'2.2") tall, will have an overall height of approximately 260mm (10.24in). The figure's height will also factor in the pedestal's thickness and the angle of Noel's left foot. The circular pedestal will have a unique design that suits Noel's background as a knight.

Several sample images of the figure are available to view right below:

The third-generation Japanese Hololive VTuber Shirogane Noel will join the roster of scaled static figures that Good Smile Company has published. The company previously revealed a static figure of La+ Darknesss from the sixth-generation Secret Society holoX. While La+'s figure has a larger scale of 1/6, her shorter height of 139cm (4'6.72") meant that her figure would only stand at around 240mm (9.44in) tall.

The 1/7 scale figure of the Hololive VTuber Shirogane Noel will be available in Japan in November 2024 and in North America in Q2 2025.

The items will also be available for sale online via the Namco Parks web store from December 25, 2023, to January 31, 2024. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and FFVII Screenshots Compare Aerith Praying

Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and original FFVII screenshots show the scene with Aerith praying. This is a notable moment taken from a scene during the City of the Ancients in the game.

Next, here's the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth take on that same FFVII Aerith praying scene, with both screenshots showing her familiar jacket, bow, and necklace.

In case you missed some of the screenshot comparisons showing how Final Fantasy VII Rebirth looks compared to FFVII, here is a list of some of the recent ones Square Enix shared:

While some of the images aren't exact 1:1 recreations of shots from the original game, many of them show the direct inspirations and how the PlayStation game influenced the design of the PS5 remake.

This isn't the only major screenshot release for the game. Following The Game Awards 2023, Square Enix released a batch of new images. Among them were better looks at Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind, two characters who will be debuting in this title. That marked our first look at Vincent's face, as well as the expected confirmation that Cid will appear in the second part. Both of them also appeared alongside new footage and a theme song at the show as well.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PS5 on February 29, 2024, with the platform exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. FFVII Ever Crisis is on mobile devices, with a PC release planned.

See Metaphor Re:Fantazio Screenshots and Art of Characters

Atlus shared an array of Metaphor Re:Fantazio screenshots and pieces of art, many of them showcasing major characters. All of the screenshots are taken from the English version of the game.

First, here are the three pieces of concept art. One shows a city, while the other two show the party looking up at various opponents.

Next, here are Metaphor Re:Fantazio characters showing up in official pieces of art. In addition to an image showing everyone together, there are single, isolated images looking at the main character, Gallica, Heismay, Hulkenberg, and Strohl.

Finally, there are six screenshots taken from Metaphor: ReFantazio. Two are taken from cinematic scenes, with one of them showing the main character. Two are taken from fights in which players' avatar and Strohl are attacking enemies. One shows what the Royal Capital Grand Trad Regalith Grand Cathedral area looks like, with a number of vendors around. The last one shows a conversation with a character named Maria, showing players will be able to select what they say during some story segments.

This is the second recent media drop for the game. The new Metaphor: ReFantazio screenshots and character art appeared alongside a The Game Awards 2023 trailer. That footage focused on the game's story, allowing us to see characters competing for the king's throne.

We should learn more about the game soon. Following the TGA 2023 reveal, Atlus announced a live broadcast. That will air on December 11, 2023 and feature many of the main Japanese voice actors. Some of the major characters appearing will be Gallica (Sumire Morohoshi) and the Traveling Boy (Natsuki Hanae).

Metaphor: ReFantazio will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in Fall 2024. An official website is open now with more information about the game. The Japanese live broadcast will appear on December 11, 2023.

honkai star rail silver wolf

Since her debut in Version 1.1 of Honkai: Star Rail, there has not been another playable character quite like Silver Wolf. Even after multiple patches, her ability to boost the party's damage potential and implant a weakness remains invaluable.

Let's start with a reminder of Silver Wolf's kit. Her Skill can implant a weakness matching an on-field character into a single enemy. It also reduces the enemy's DMG RES (only if she implanted the weakness). Her Ultimate can decrease the enemy's DEF while dealing Quantum DMG. Finally, her Talent has a chance to either reduce ATK, DEF, or SPD randomly whenever she attacks an enemy target. In other words, while her ability to implant weaknesses is incredibly useful, the meat of her usage in battle will come from her ability to debuff enemies.

Silver Wolf Honkai: Star Rail Skill
Screenshot by Siliconera

The main reason that you should pull for Silver Wolf is, of course, her Skill. Silver Wolf will likely be the only character in Honkai: Star Rail who will be able to implant a Weakness into an enemy. This makes her a highly unique character with no replacement other than re-organizing your team in order to Break enemies. Silver Wolf helps to make mono element teams perform more consistently. As well, having her as your debuffer will allow you more freedom when coming up with team compositions. You won't need to worry about whether you can hit the enemy's weakness or not if you can simply give them that specific weakness, after all.

Another reason is because of Silver Wolf's ability as a supporter. So far the only other Nihility character who specifically focuses debuffing the enemy, rather than inflicting a Break Effect or DoT, is Pela. However, Pela can only lower the enemy's DEF. In contrast, Silver Wolf has the chance to lower three different stats. Granted, the debuff is quite slight, even after leveling up Traces. Her Skill also makes it easier for other characters to Break enemies, as well as gives more options depending on what kind of Break Effect you want.

Just like how no one is perfect, no single character is without their disadvantages. In Silver Wolf's case, one of the biggest disadvantages in using her is that everything is single target. This makes her difficult to use in places like Swarm Disaster, where there are a lot of enemies. Her kit also relies on luck. The ATK, DEF, or SPD debuff from her Talent is random, as is the weakness she implants. She can potentially eat through your SP if your luck is bad and you can't implant the weakness you want. However, you can mitigate this issue with a mono element team.

Screenshot by Siliconera

Finally, another disadvantage Silver Wolf has is that the threshold she needs to reliably land a hit is incredibly high. You need almost 100% Effect Hit Rate in order for her debuff to go through. Since Silver Wolf needs to reliably land her debuffs, you have to either pull for her Eidolons (which is not an easy feat for F2P players unless you decide beforehand to go all in with her) or compromise on some of her Relics in order to improve her Effect Hit Rate. Without Eidolons, Silver Wolf can only be a debuffer and not a sub-DPS.

Honkai Star Rail Silver Wolf
Screenshot by Siliconera

Silver Wolf's advantages far outweigh her disadvantages though, and she is definitely a character you want on your team. If you're F2P, I highly suggest using your Stellar Jades on her because of her Skill and general usefulness when it comes to increasing how much damage your party can do. Once upon a time, we all thought Luocha was irreplaceable as a healer. "Pull for Luocha," we said. "You won't regret it," we promised. Well, you still won't regret getting Luocha. But with Huohuo in the first part of Version 1.5, we now have a very strong contender for a Luocha equivalent. On that day, humanity received a grim reminder: power creep in a gacha game is a very real threat. Fortunately, with her unique kit, Silver Wolf will remain a strong contender in the game's meta.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The Silver Wolf re-run is part of the second phase of Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.5, and she'll run alongside the new Physical Erudition 5-star character Argenti.

genshin impact 4.3

The 4.3 Genshin Impact release date is December 20, 2023 and the special program from HoYoVerse has teased some of the new content to expect from it. Aside from new and returning events, HoYoVerse will introduce new optimizations to the game.

The flagship Roses and Muskets event will give a new Claymore, and feature characters from Inazuma in Fontaine. Chiori, a fashion designer from Inazuma, will have prominent focus in this event. There will be multiple mini-games that you can play, including a sharpshooter one where you shoot down enemies. Other upcoming events include Arataki Blazing Armor Beetle Battle Boot Camp and Dance of Resolute Will. Returning events include Lost Riches (with Seelies that you can get and bring with you underwater) and Marvelous Merchandise.

Fontaine characters and customization options for Genius Invokation will appear in Version 4.3 of Genshin Impact as well. There will be six new character cards, as well as five new monster cards. The monster cards will be ones like Azhdaha and Signora, which means that they're likely the Weekly Bosses in the game.

There will be two new Artifact Sets to farm for in Genshin Impact Version 4.3. The new update will also include QoL changes. You can auto-lock Artifacts depending on set prerequisites, as well as search for them easier in your menu. The game will also streamline the leveling-up process, removing pop-up windows. When you restart a Domain, the game will put you right in front of the start destination. HoYoVerse plans on implementing more optimizations in the future.

Here's the Genshin Impact 4.3 trailer, which highlights some of the new characters and storylines coming to the game.

Genshin Impact 4.3 characters

During the Genshin Impact Version 4.3 special program, HoYoVerse showed off more details about new upcoming playable characters, Navia and Chevreuse, and the returning ones Ayaka, Raiden Shogun, and Yoimiya. As a reminder, both of the Fontaine characters will be Ousia ones.

Navia will be a five-star Geo Claymore character who works best with her allies, and she takes advantage of the Crystallize Elemental Reaction. Whenever a character in the party gets an Elemental Shard that she creates, Navia gains a Crystal Shrapnel charge. At max, she can have six at a time. The more Crystal Shrapnel stacks she has, she will fire more shots from her Skill, Ceremonial Crystalshot. You can also hold down the Skill button to manually aim. Navia's Burst can deal AoE Geo DMG.

Chevreuse will be a four-star Pyro Polearm character who can pull out a musket in combat. She works best with other Pyro or Electro characters, and she excels in an Overloaded-focused composition. When she uses her Skill, she uses her musket to deal AoE Pyro DMG, She can also temporarily heal the active character. Like Navia, Chevreuse can also hold down the Skill button to enter aiming mode. If the party triggers the Overloaded reaction, then Chevreuse can deal more damage. Finally, her Burst can deal Aoe Pyro DMG, with secondary explosive shells dealing Pyro DMG after a delay.

The characters in the first half of Genshin Impact Version 4.3 will feature Navia and the five-star Cryo character Ayaka. The second half will be the five-star Electro unit Raiden Shogun and Pyro one Yoimiya. Chevreuse will be on these banners in the second part of the update. Verdict will be a new five-star Claymore that you can pull for during the first half of Version 4.3.

Genshin Impact is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Version 4.3 of Genshiin Impact will come out on December 20, 2023.
