It's definitely cliche at this point, but there's a reason every fantasy adventure starts at the local tavern. Not only is it a lively meeting place, but it's filled with colorful characters, loose lips, and plenty of quests to set you on your way. Whether it's Skyrim's Bannered Mare or The Witcher 3's White Orchard Inn, the videogame tavern is the place to be. What if, then, instead of being the adventurer wandering in, you were the one cleaning the flagons behind the bar? This is exactly what Ale and Tale Tavern is all about, as it turns your attention to managing the inn so many adventurers call home. With a huge new update focused on decorating your business, and a sizable Steam discount, now's the ideal time to give it a shot.

Arrowhead Games managed to do something truly special with Helldivers 2, taking its incredible, top-down original space shooter and transforming it into a full-scale epic that retained what made it great to begin with. Now, however, it's looking to have some serious competition courtesy of new FPS Jump Ship. Already boasting more than 700,000 wishlists, the co-op space shooter has held onto a place as one of the biggest Steam Next Fest demos through the past week, and it's set for launch this year.

In a world where Monster Hunter Wilds is going great guns, Street Fighter 6 continues to delight fighting game fans, and new Resident Evil and Onimusha games are on the way, it's easy to forget that Capcom will soon be delivering something totally new and fresh away from its major, dependable franchises. I've always perceived Pragmata as a slightly odd project, both from the strange themes of its past trailers and the seemingly bumpy development process it's endured. But the mystery surrounding it has led to it constantly being on my 'will it appear?' radar before any major showcase. Well, Summer Game Fest delivered, with a new trailer, a 2026 release window, and a 20-minute demo that I got to try at SGF Play Days in Los Angeles. While in many aspects Pragmata feels like a fairly typical third-person space shooter, it also delivers a few successful surprises.

June 14, 2025: We added new Volleyball Legends codes to our list for the latest update.

What are the new Volleyball Legends codes? Taking to the volleyball court in this Roblox adventure will have you itching to get ahead of the competition. Inspired by the Haikyuu anime, you'll participate in volleyball matches in teams of six and compete to be the best.

This unofficial, fan-made Roblox game isn't strictly affiliated with Haikyuu, but the imagery and references to the manga series are plain to see. Unlike the latest Blox Fruits codes or Dress to Impress codes, Haikyuu Legends codes won't get you currency, but they can have a direct effect on your skill level in the game, so take note.

While I enjoy The Dark Ages, Doom Eternal remains my favorite in the long-running series. Doom Slayer's unbridled strength isn't enough to decimate demons, as you'll need to use your knowledge of each level's arenas, managing your ammunition before ripping into enemies' guts. As much as I love Skyrim, it gets harder to revisit Tamriel after my umpteenth playthrough. Bleak Falls Barrow is a brilliant starting dungeon, for example, but once I know the ins and outs of every draugr-filled hall, it loses that sense of surprise that makes fantasy RPGs so special. That's where a game like Barony comes in. A roguelike dungeon crawler you can play in co-op, every single adventure is completely different. Review: Survival Kids Switch 2 Doesn't Feel Like Lost in Blue

The original Survival Kids on the Game Boy Color didn't play around. I should know, as I beat it repeatedly in hopes of getting the best ending. There's nothing like being a teenager and spending dozens of hours on a game to watch your avatar die on a makeshift raft because you didn't prepare enough food for your  attempt to sail home. Survival Kids is one of the few original Switch 2 games debuting alongside the new console as Konami and Unity's revival of the IP. While it is fine and clearly designed to be a kid-friendly game for actual children enamored by games like Raft with Tomb Raider mystique, it bears no resemblance to the past Survival Kids or Lost in Blue series.

While the original Survival Kids and Lost in Blue games involved children and teens in extraordinary situations attempting to survive and find a way home, Unity and Konami took a far different approach. This isn't a pure survival sim with adventure elements and choices that matter. The kid, or kids if you are playing with a group, found a treasure map. They willingly headed out to the island chain represented there. The raft broke apart. After rebuilding it on the first island and going through the tutorial, it's off to go island hopping, completing relatively simple puzzles to progress through areas, search for treasure, and find the Harmony Stones to let you return home.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaRKOs05tMQ

This time around, realism is abandoned for an idealized fantasy. I could absolutely see Square Enix going with a similar kind of premise for something like "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Kids." These one to four pre-teens found a map, built a sea-worthy vessel, found islands on the back of giant turtle-like beings called Whurtles, somehow uncovered ruins nobody else saw before, and are also going to undo a supernatural storm. I do think it is very good for smaller children, as it plays in the types of fantasies they might have and can be empowering. However, it's not all that entertaining or good at engaging an older audience.

Gameplay is also incredibly simple in Survival Kids and, while there is crafting and food creation, it's nowhere near as complex or critical as in games like the original or ensuing Lost in Blue installments. In those games, you needed to eat and stay hydrated to survive, crafting meant experimenting, item maintenance could be an issue due to durability, and actions strongly influenced if you died or how the story ended. Here, eating means greater strength when engaging in tasks or stamina for climbing, and you can cap that out at 10 easily and be fine. Food prep? Toss a bunch of fruits in a pot, no need for recipes, and you're fine. Actual item or structure creation? Again, just toss logs, stones, or gathered materials into the right place and you're good. Platforming? Literally not an issue or challenge.

Survival Kids is an incredibly easy Switch 2 game, and it is all very surface level. While there are optional collectibles on islands, I felt no reason to go back to it. If you do falter when making jumps, as I had the Pro Controller battery die during one section, it's absolutely fine. If your stamina does run out, food is so plentiful and the campsite hubs are always nearby, so it is easy to get a snack. If not, you'll just be slower than usual. The crafting and switch toggling puzzles aren't difficult. If you can find the pieces you need and get them to the place, you tend to be fine. Also, it's executed in a way in which there are no complicated controls or need to manage any inventory. Again, all of this is fine for the intended audience, and young enough children will probably dig it. But people of any age more experienced with games will very likely get bored. It's so repetitive.

Probably the main selling point is that this Konami and Unity Survival Kids game does act as a showcase for each Switch 2 multiplayer options. I did play with another person with split-screen local multiplayer and briefly online. In each case, it was absolutely fine. Since this is a game that could honestly be played alone or with others, cooperation didn't feel super critical. It wasn't like there was scaling difficulty or an of the actions were so taxing that I really needed assistance. It was more that things got done faster with another person. Local worked great. Online ended up being totally fine too. I didn't get to test out GameShare, the most interesting option that involves other local people playing on their own Switch 2 systems while I shared the game.

Survival Kids feels really generic on the Switch 2, and it features none of the personality of the Lost in Blue series. I think I might have enjoyed it more had it not been burdened by that pedigree. Had Konami and Unity released this as, say, "Treasure Kids: Search for Harmony Stones," I think I'd maybe appreciated it more. I'd go in understanding it is a new IP made for kids who like the idea of survival games or puzzle adventures, but might not be ready for titles with greater challenges and in-game consequences. But here, we go in expecting a certain type of storytelling and adventure, then wind up with a repetitious, uncomplicated routine.

Survival Kids is available for the Switch 2.

Review: Squeakross Is a Rewarding Picross-like Game

Typically in a nonogram game like Picross, completing the puzzle and seeing the finished image is all the reward we get for being diligent enough to figure things out. Albune's Squeakross: Home Squeak Home does that, of course, but there's a little something else to act as an incentive. Here, every solved situation adds to a catalog of customization elements for a cute little mouse's home. It really makes the game feel special, as well as provides a reason to get through puzzles as quickly as possible.

In Squeakross: Home Squeak Home, every player is a mouse. We just moved into a new home. It's empty at the moment. However, it won't take too long to make that hole in the wall a comfortable place to live. That's because every puzzle we solve provides us with a new type of furniture or decorative element to enhance our living space. What follows is a nonogram puzzle game like the Jupiter Picross series that gradually gets more difficult and offers more unique furnishings as rewards for challenging ourselves.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIrCpjQv8pE&ab_channel=Alblune

The impression I get from Squeakross: Home Squeak Home is that it is designed to encourage completion compared to other nonogram games like Jupiter's Picross. Now, I always do finish every Jupiter entry I pick up. However, I play them at a more leisurely pace. Two or three puzzles before bed to wind down and relax. Maybe it'll take me a full month, or even two if its a busy time of year, to gradually beat a game. The nature of Albune's title makes each puzzle an item in essentially a catalog of items. So if you want more to do, you need to skip around and fill out puzzles.

Said puzzles are, well, standard nonograms, as Squeakross: Home Squeak Home doesn't reinvent the wheel. A grid is placed before you. Numbers across the top and left side note how many squares need to be filled in to complete the puzzle, as well as how many are in a row. You need to use logic to do so. In a nod to this being a game filled rodents, boxes are filled in with cheese. You can also use notation to mark suspected spots with a "O" and definitively note a space shouldn't be filled by placing an "X." The hints at the top will use different colors to note if lines are done, could be filled in, or are almost done save for a missing "X."

After finishing a puzzle, you get the piece of furniture in your mouse's room. In there, you can direct your mouse to go ahead and interact with anything you placed. You can also complete Nini's Challenge for variants of items that look different and add more options. There's quite a bit of diversity and even some themes that come up, and you get multiple rooms to decorate. Likewise, you can customize your mouse's appearance, changing how they look and what they wear. The character's personality and tendencies can even change. So it can almost feel a bit like a customizable pet you care for.

The thing that gets me is, while the puzzles are fun to complete in Squeakross: Home Squeak Home, when completed they don't always look like the furniture items or accessories they unlike like ones found in Picross games. They'll usually be somewhat close! However, right from the very start, I saw completed designs that didn't make sense. This happens right away with a cardboard box on the first page, as well as with a cabinet. The pile of books? It does not look anything like a stack of novels. The basic nightstand? No clue how that turned into that! So while the game is fun and we are supposed to use logic, I felt like I couldn't also rely on my knowledge of what, say, a dresser would look like to finish that. This doesn't apply to every puzzle, of course, but it's often enough that it irked me.

While I feel like the Jupiter nonograms in Picross feature some better executed puzzles and final designs, Squeakross: Home Squeak Home offers a fresh take on a nonogram game. The character and home customization really provide an incentive to solve puzzles. The quality of life features and controls work well, so you could easily play with a controller. It's a cute approach to a classic puzzle genre with plentiful play incentives.

Squeakross: Home Squeak Home is available on the Switch and PC, and a demo is available on Steam.

BitLife Macho Man challenge

BitLife's Macho Man challenge is all about proving your character is the strongest man alive. You'll be fighting fires, saving lives, and building houses this time, making it more important than ever to stay happy and healthy.

BitLife Macho Man challenge guide

BitLife's Macho Man challenge has five objectives to complete:

  • Be born a male
  • Become a firefighter
  • Become a police officer
  • Become a construction worker
  • Father 3+ children

You won't need any expansion or career packs for this challenge. All three careers are vanilla, letting you pursue them as long as you have the patience to find all three in your job list.

Be born a male

The first task of this challenge is to be born a male. It doesn't matter which country you start in as long as you pick male as your starting gender. I started in the United States for this one, but you can choose anywhere you wish.

Become a firefighter

After creating your character, age up until they finish secondary school. Don't drop out or get arrested, as these next tasks rely heavily on your completing high school without a criminal record. Once you're ready, head into your full-time job list, look for Probationary firefighter or a similar position, and apply for the position.

BitLife firefighter job
Screenshot by Destructoid

You'll quickly learn throughout this challenge that you're not guaranteed to find every role right away. If you can't find a firefighting job after graduation, age up or close and reopen the BitLife app. It'll appear with a firetruck emoji and "Fire Department" tag next to its name.

Become a police officer

Your next task is to become a police officer. Like before, you'll find this in your full-time job list. You may need to age up or reset the app a few times. The first position I saw was a Trooper job, accompanied by a police car emoji and a "Police Department" tag.

BitLife police officer job
Screenshot by Destructoid

Become a construction worker

Last but not least is a construction worker job. Unlike the previous two, a high school diploma is not required for this position. I recommend getting one anyway to make the process easier.

BitLife construction worker job
Screenshot by Destructoid

The construction worker job usually appears with a barrier emoji and a "small business" tag next to its name. Applying for this position and passing the interview will complete the first few tasks of this challenge, leading to one final objective.

Father children

The final task of BitLife's Macho Man challenge is to father three or more children. Whether you do this through one-time hookups or a long-term romantic relationship is entirely up to you. You can access these options by heading into Activities, Love, and selecting whichever method you'd like to initiate the process. The only strategy that doesn't work is adoption.

Once you father three children either through a romantic relationship or one-night encounters, you'll complete BitLife's Macho Man challenge, rewarding you with a random cosmetic.

Official Rune Slayer Class Tier List and Guide, tanking each class from best to worst

In Rune Slayer, picking the right class can mean the difference between crushing your enemies or getting clowned. With brutal mechanics, punishing enemy hits, and a meta that favors ranged dominance, survival depends on strategy as much as skill. Some melee classes still hold their ground, but mastering distance is key. Here's the ultimate Rune Slayer Class Tier List to help you conquer every fight.

All Rune Slayer Classes Tier List

Official Class Tier List in the Rune Slayer Roblox Experience, that goes: S-Tier: Magicia, Warrior; A-Tier: Thief, Archer, Priest; B-Tier: Striker.
Rune Slayer Classes ranked from best to worst - Image via TierMaker.

In Rune Slayer, the Warrior and Magician reign supreme in S-tier—one's a walking tank that turns enemies into mush, while the other casually rewrites reality with devastating spells.

Down in A-tier, the Thief strikes fast and vanishes, the Archer deletes targets from across the map, and the Priest keeps everyone alive with holy overdrive. Then there's the Striker in B-tier, swinging fists like it's a bar fight while everyone else is rewriting the meta—perfect if you enjoy charging into battles just to respawn faster.

Whichever class you choose, make sure you grab one of our Rune Slayer codes and ease some of the growing pains. Now, let's take a look at that pesky Rune Slayer class tier list.

Samurai (S-Tier)

You're the calm eye in the storm—firm, focused, and deadly. As a Samurai, you stand between your team and chaos, striking swiftly and holding strong.

Wield your katana to slash foes with precision attacks, weaving in and out of danger. You've got medium-high health and armor—tough enough to take hits but nimble enough to stay on your feet.

Layer on pressure with your rapid Waki strikes that expose enemies and burst them down. When things get heated, unleash your special combo to deal extra damage and keep foes on the backfoot.

Best for: Mid-range tanking, exposing and bursting priority targets in dungeon runs, and staying steady in chaotic PvP fights.

Magician (S-tier)

runeslayer class tier list magician
Screenshot by Destructoid

You don't just cast spells—you bend the battlefield to your will. As a Magician, your Mana Arrow automatically finds its mark, letting you focus on boosting your power with Lesser Strength, Lesser Intellect, and Lesser Dexterity

Need to outlast your enemies? Magic Shield absorbs incoming damage, while Conjure Food and Conjure Water keep you and your allies fighting at full strength. When it's time to unleash destruction, drop a Mana Bomb for devastating area damage, or boost your defenses with Arcane Armor. You're fragile, sure—but with the firepower to nuke entire clusters of enemies, who needs durability?

Best for: Nuking enemy clusters in PvE, controlling the battlefield with buffs, and sniping key targets in PvP with powerful spells.

Ability Description
Mana Arrow Shoots an arrow that auto-aims at nearby enemies, dealing high damage.
Lesser Strength Buffs allies with increased strength for 5 minutes.
Lesser Intellect Grants a slight intellect buff for 5 minutes.
Lesser Dexterity Increases dexterity for 5 minutes at a higher mana cost.
Magic Shield Creates a shield that reduces incoming damage for up to 5 hits.
Conjure Food Generates food that restores health when consumed outside of combat.
Conjure Water Generates water that restores mana when consumed outside of combat.
Arcane Armor Passive ability scaling armor based on intellect.
Mana Bomb Throws a magical projectile that deals damage in an area.

Warrior (A-tier)

runeslayer class tier list warrior
Screenshot by Destructoid

If not you, who else? Essentially, you're the wall between your team and utter destruction. As a Warrior, you bring raw power and unbreakable defense, charging headfirst into danger without flinching.

Crush enemies with Slashing Strike and keep the pressure on while soaking up punishment no one else could handle. Your high health and armor turn you into a living fortress, drawing aggro so your allies can focus on dishing out damage.

Best for: Holding enemy aggro in dungeon raids, soaking up front-line damage, and providing crowd control in large-scale PvP brawls.

Support your team by boosting their stats with Lesser Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence, or clear negative effects with Dispell. When the situation looks bad, you can turn it around with Resurrection or Suveria's Light. Another reason Priest ranks so well on our Rune Slayer class list is the strong passives like Mana Training and Radiant Spirit, which help keep your mana steady. Best Classes for Each Race in Rune Slayer

Knowing everything about entries in our Rune Slayer class ranking is all fine and dandy, but if it matches with the wrong race, a Reroll is inevitable. After going through our Rune Slayer races tier list, you should follow this guide to snatch the corresponding class:

Race Best Starter Class Alternative Class
Human Warrior is the ideal pick for Humans, taking advantage of their natural resilience and balanced stats to excel in survivability and raw physical damage. A solid alternative is the Striker, offering faster, more aggressive melee combat while still maintaining decent durability.
Elf Elves thrive as Magicians, using their enhanced mana regeneration and cooldown reduction to maximize magical power and spell output. Alternatively, an Archer takes advantage of their agility, offering a swift and precise ranged combat experience.
Orc The Striker class perfectly complements an Orc's high regeneration and stamina efficiency, making them relentless in close-quarters combat. If you prefer brute strength and heavy weapons, the Warrior class turns the Orc's raw power into overwhelming melee dominance.
Ailuran Known for their agility and speed, Ailurans excel as Thieves, striking fast and evading damage with ease in high-mobility skirmishes. For those who favor ranged precision, the Archer class complements the Ailuran's quick movements and allows for effective hit-and-run tactics.
Slime Naturally attuned to magic, Slimes shine as Magicians, using their high mana efficiency to unleash devastating spells with ease. If supporting allies is more your style, the Priest class offers powerful healing and defensive abilities, making Slimes effective in team-based encounters.
Half Golem With unmatched durability, Half Golems are best suited as Warriors, soaking up damage and delivering powerful strikes to control the battlefield. The Striker offers a more agile melee option for players who want to balance the Golem's toughness with faster, stamina-driven attacks.
Dullahan Their unique healing-on-kill ability and resilience make the Warrior class a perfect fit for Dullahans, excelling in both offense and defense. If you'd rather avoid direct combat, the Magician class lets Dullahans leverage their magical potential while maintaining their innate toughness from a distance.

That's about it when it comes to our definitive Rune Slayer class tier list. If you want to know more or get into the nitty-gritty, visit the Rune Slayer Discord and Trello, and you won't be disappointed. Just pray you don't roll Orc, that's all.

Deltarune waterfall holding goldwidow

Deltarune isn't the easiest game to play, thanks to its strong reliance on bullet hell mechanics, but mastering the controls will make things easier for you.

If you're yet to complete Chapter 3+4, this guide will help you learn the basic and advanced movement controls. Mastering them will help you increase your chances of survival and completing the quests. There are not too many controls, and you can switch between using your keyboard and gamepad (based on what you're more familiar with).

All keyboard controls in Deltarune

If you're on a PC and don't have access to a gamepad or controller, a keyboard is the best option. Here's a complete list of all the controls.

  • Down: Down Arrow
  • Right: Right Arrow
  • Up: Up Arrow
  • Left: Left Arrow
  • Confirm: Z
  • Cancel: X
  • Menu: C or Ctrl
  • Quit: Esc

All controller controls in Deltarune

You can easily connect your controller and play the game that way, too. Personally, I prefer playing with a controller over a keyboard, even on my PC.

  • Down: LS down/D-pad down
  • Right: LS right/D-pad right
  • Up: LS up/D-pad up
  • Left: LS left/D-pad left
  • Confirm: A/X
  • Cancel: B/Circle
  • Menu: Y/Triangle
  • Quit: Pause Button

How to change the default controls in Deltarune

Changing the default controls is slightly tricky in Deltarune, because you need to progress through the story and reach the Dark World to get the function to change the default controls.

Once you have access, open the menu and go to the Config tab. Select Controls. Choose any control with the Confirm button, and then press the new button. If you press a button assigned to another control, you must re-map it before you can save your changes.

You'll now be able to use your control scheme to clear the hardships of Deltarune and its chapters.

A family of T-Rex in Jurassic World Evolution 3

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a brand new management simulator coming in the second half of this year, and plenty of important information has been revealed so far.

We got the first announcement earlier in June during the Summer Games Fest. While the upcoming title retains many similarities with its two predecessors, new features include fresh locations, such as Japan. There are over 70 species to manage, and you can grow them from baby dinosaurs to a full line of magnificent creatures.

But first, let's look at all the crucial information related to the release.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 release date

The third chapter of the popular dinosaur park management series will release globally on October 21. This applies to all available editions, so everyone starts managing their parks on the same date. The date is also the same for both PC and consoles. As of this writing, the launch times haven't been announced, and we will update you once we have more information.

  • Four spectacular prehistoric species featuring Protoceratops, Thanatosdrakon, Guanlong, and Cancavenator.
  • Unique Mosasaurus skin
  • Clark County Scenery
  • Three exclusive ATV skins for Maintenance and Repair teams.

Additionally, there's a pre-order bonus available on both editions.

  • Five Badlands Scenery Blueprints
  • Exclusive Badlands ATV skin for the Maintenance Team.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 platforms

There aren't any surprises regarding platform availability. The game will be available on the following platforms on day one.

  • PC (Windows Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store)
  • PS5
  • Xbox Series X|S

Despite the improved hardware in the Nintendo Switch 2, a day-one port will not be available in October. Whether we get one in the future remains a matter of speculation at this point.
