For the last few years, Battlefield has been in the FPS game wilderness. BF1 and Battlefield V continue to pull in players, but 2042 has been a mixed success, and the direction of the series has felt unclear. Personally, I miss the heyday of Bad Company and Battlefield 3, the two best games in EA Dice's entire shooter saga. But maybe Battlefield 6 can reset the narrative, as they say. Certainly, Dice needs to bring its A game - with Delta Force, Gray Zone Warfare, and, as always, CoD, vying for the multiplayer FPS throne, the new Battlefield needs to be very good. We've seen footage and gotten a few, sparing details, but if you want to try out the sequel for yourself, new Battlefield 6 playtest sign ups have suddenly just opened.

After months of leaks and rumors, the lid has finally been lifted on the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT release date, as the new gaming GPU has just been unveiled at Computex. AMD has also revealed the 9060 XT price and specs, and it looks like it's going to give the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 a really hard time.

After securing the best graphics card title with its mid-range graphics cards, this new AMD GPU takes aim at the cheaper end of the graphics card market. AMD has already proved that its RDNA 4 architecture can be a formidable force in our Radeon RX 9070 XT review, and AMD has been similarly aggressive with the pricing of the 9060 XT.

Oh, Dope Wars '98, let me count the ways you moulded me into the man I am today, buying extra large trench coats in which to store my 100 units of acid. Military Incremental Complex riffs off that game's unmistakably '98 interface, but instead of playing a cool and aspirational heroin entrepreneur, you play a dastardly bullet merchant. Begin crafting artisan handmade farm-fresh shotgun shells, work your way up to nukes. Typical woke renewable energy propaganda. Can't even sell massive bundles of dynamite with 'TNT' written on them anymore in case it offends the coyotes.

You'll "produce multiple different weapons, research upgrades, manipulate the stock market, and lobby the government for favours". It's from Space Kraken, makers of Squeebing Up The Tower Of Friendship, a game I have not played but enjoy saying the name of aloud. Squeebing. Squeeeebing. "6 hours in the demo and another hour in the released game, I still have no idea what squeebing is," reads one review. UrbanDictionary defines 'squeebing' as … actually, I'm not repeating what UrbanDictionary defines squeebing as. Here's a trailer with wholesome god-fearing guns in it instead.

AMD have rocked up to this year's Computex tech conference with a handful of new Ryzen Threadripper CPUs (not interested) and confirmation of a long-rumoured graphics card, the Radeon RX 9060 XT (cautiously interested). It's a true mid-ranger in the RTX 5060 Ti vein, and like its Nvidia rival, will launch with both 8GB and 16GB versions – the latter of which will cost $349, the lowest MSRP of any current-gen 16GB gaming GPU, upon its release in June.

Kubfu can finally evolve into Urshifu in Pokémon Go, but trainers will find they have two distinct evolutions to pick from. Deciding which you want to choose is vital, as both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

These differences offer unique bonuses depending on your play style, with both forms of Urshifu having their own benefits depending on what you are after. To me, though, there is a clear winner when it comes to choosing which Urshifu to get, or you can always get both if you managed to buy the special ticket at the start of the season that gave you two Kubfu.

Is it better to evolve Kubfu into Single Strike Style or Rapid Strike Style in Pokémon Go?

https://twitter.com/PokemonGoApp/status/1919482355032449118

In the core games, Single Strike Style Urshifu feels far superior Pokémon to Rapid Strike Style, and we have to agree that it's probably the same in the mobile game. Both Urshifus have similar stats in the mobile game, but in terms of preference, the Fighting and Dark-type feels like the better call to the Water Fighting typing—but it's really down to personal preference.

All Single Strike Style Urshifu stats in Pokémon Go

Single Strike Style Urshifu is a Fighting and Dark-type Pokémon and shares a bit more similarity with its counterpart.

Abilities Stats
Pokémon Type Fighting and Dark-type
Base Stamina Rate 225
Base Attack Rate 254
Base Defense Rate 177

These are all the moves Single Strike Style Urshifu can use in Pokémon Go.

All Fast Attacks All Charged Attacks Max Moves
Counter Brick Break Max Knuckle
Rock Smash Close Combat Max Darkness
Sucker Punch Dynamic Punch
Payback

All Rapid Strike Style Urshifu stats in Pokémon Go

Single Strike Style Urshifu is a Fighting and Dark-type Pokémon and shares a bit more similarity with its counterpart.

Abilities Stats
Pokémon Type Fighting and Water-type
Base Stamina Rate 225
Base Attack Rate 254
Base Defense Rate 177

These are all the moves Rapid Strike Style Urshifu can use in Pokémon Go.

All Fast Attacks All Charged Attacks Max Moves
Counter Brick Break Max Knuckle
Rock Smash Close Combat Max Geyser
Waterfall Dynamic Punch
Aqua Jet

How to evolve Kubfu into Urshifu?

To evolve Kubfu into Urshifu, you must have Kubfu as your Buddy Pokémon and then proceed to do the following.

  • To get Single Strike Urshifu, you need to defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles while Kubfu is your Buddy Pokémon
  • To get Rapid Strike Urshifu, you need to defeat 30 Water-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles while Kubfu is your Buddy Pokémon

You also need to use 200 Kubfu Candy toe evolve after reaching these milestones, so you'll be playing for a long while until you finally are able to get either one of them.

Niantic has finally revealed details on Pokémon Go Road Trip after months of teasing, and it seems to have failed trainers' expectations.

The event, which was officially revealed this morning by Niantic, has a large branded Pokémon Go-themed tour bus tour around parts of Europe, beginning July 16 in Manchester, U.K., and ending at Gamescom on Aug 24. The full schedule includes:

  • Manchester, UK – July 16
  • London, UK – July 19
  • Paris, France – July 26
  • Valencia, Spain – August 2
  • Berlin, Germany – August 9
  • The Hague, The Netherlands – August 16
  • Cologne, Germany (Gamescom) – August 20–24

https://twitter.com/pokemongoappuk/status/1925106820411953308

There doesn't appear to be any special spawns, raids, or events, with Road Trip instead focusing on photo opportunities, zones for community challenges, and meets with notable trainers. And as you can imagine, the community hasn't exactly been thrilled about this news.

"So it's useless," "So they did all that teasing for what exactly?" "All that hype for this?" "I could actually go. It would take me less than 3 hours, but this doesn't seem worth it at all." are just some of the many responses trainers have been having following the announcement, and if we are honest, we have to agree.

While its a nice idea for Niantic to have an event that targets its community and gives trainers a chance to meet some content creators they are fans of, not having some kind of big tie-in diminishes the reason to head to these locations for a large portion of the community.

Granted, Niantic has said that there will be in-game tie-ins for all players in England, France, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands, but there isn't any information as of yet on what that might be. So there's still a slim chance to be hopeful that something comes out of this eventually, but we expect it to be some minor research tasks that'll unlock something on brand, like a Pikachu or Eevee spawn (maybe even a special costumed one if we are lucky).

But what do you think? Let us know in the comments below.

Vehicles in RoadCraft

Driving in RoadCraft isn't easy, and it can be even more difficult if you're not observing the terrain.

While you have a wide array of vehicles to pick from, not all of them are effective on every terrain. The tutorial itself gives you the first taste of the difficulties, as you can quickly get stuck in mud, with no way of escaping.

This guide will help you to unstuck your vehicle in different terrains so that you can proceed with completing the quests at hand.

Disclaimer: This guide will be updated with more scenarios as we encounter them on our playthrough.

How to get your vehicle unstuck in mud in RoadCraft

The first obstacle you'll encounter in RoadCraft is in the form of mud and water. It's part of the tutorial mission, and you'll be driving your starter vehicle. The opening bit is tricky to manage since the game only gives you hints at what's to be done.

Car stuck in mud in RoadCraft
Screenshot by Destructoid

You have three factors to keep in mind when trying to get unstuck from the mud (especially if there's water, which can damage the engine of your vehicle).

  • Low Gear: Avoids wheelspin and your vehicle losing its control.
  • AWD: Applies torque to all wheels
  • Diff. Lock: Prevents single wheel slippage.

It would have been easier if you could turn all of them on and get out of the mud. Unfortunately, the solution is a combination of the three factors, and here's what I do.

  • AWD should always be turned on if you're in the mud.
  • Low Gear should be turned on if the mud is deep, and there's water filling up your engine. You'll want greater control, and Low Gear is great for that.
  • When the water is deep, you'll also want to turn on Diff. Lock, as a greater control is required for your vehicle.

Once you're out of the mud, make sure to turn all three options off. You can keep using AWD, but Diff. Lock and Low Gear will make it difficult for you to drive your vehicle swiftly.

If you're still stuck, you can always press the R button to go back safely to the nearest base. This method isn't recommended as you'll be losing in-game progression, and your current objective will have to be restarted.

Debris removal in RoadCraft

The newly released RoadCraft is available on PCs and consoles, and there are some settings to tweak if you're gaming on your computer.

There are issues on PC that have been popping up for players worldwide. A major reason behind the game's 'Mixed' early reviews on Steam has already highlighted the issues, but there are some simple solutions to try out. These tricks will prevent incidents of lag and stutter, and ensure that the only things to get stuck at are the environmental hazards.

Best tips and tricks to reduce lag in RoadCraft

Here are some steps to take if you're experiencing plenty of lag on your end (unexpectedly).

  • Update your graphics driver to the latest version available. This becomes even more important if you're using an Nvidia card, as we have seen such issues in the past with recent launches like Doom: The Dark Ages. Updating your drivers is pretty easy, and both AMD and Nvidia offer automated installs to make it easy for you.
  • Turn off V-Sync: Vertical Sync smoothens the gameplay experience, but it also increases the load on your dedicated GPU. An increased load will increase the chances of your hardware heating up and causing stutters in the process. It's better to turn it off as the relative decline in quality won't be significant.
  • Using an Upscaler is also recommended. I have already noticed significant differences in overall smoothness when it comes to the general gameplay. Both AMD and Nvidia offer their patented upscaling methods.
  • Putting a cap of 60 FPS is also going to prevent your hardware from targeting a higher value and prevent stutters in the process.

Best video settings for RoadCraft

Graphics settings in RoadCraft
Screenshot by Destructoid

I am playing the game on the following hardware specs: Ryzen 5600G, RTX 3060 12 GB, and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. Here's a set of video settings that I have been using to smooth my gameplay experience.

  • Display Resolution: 1920x1080 (Can be 1440P if your monitor supports that).
  • Render Resolution: Performance
  • Resolution Upscaling: DLSS/FSR
  • Frame Generation: Off
  • Sharpness: 0.8
  • V-Sync: Off
  • Motion Blur Intensity: Off
  • FPS Limit: 60
  • Quality Preset: High
  • Aniso-texture Filtering: 4X
  • Texture Resolution: High
  • Shadows: Medium
  • Screen-space Ambient Occlusion: Default
  • Screen-space Reflections: Default
  • Mirrors: Off
  • Effects: Medium
  • Details: High
  • Volumetric Clouds: Medium
  • Volumetric Fog: Medium

The settings mentioned here will allow you to run RoadCraft without any chances of stutters or lag. If you have a better set of hardware than I, you can tweak the settings further, but always keep the FPS capped for the time being till we get more post-launch patches.
