While Vampire: The Masquerade is very much White Wolf's flagship TTRPG, there's also Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Hunter: The Reckoning, then seemingly long-forgotten entries like Mage: The Ascension and Changeling: The Dreaming - more on those later. While the noir-ish setting of VTM lends itself perfectly to videogames, we've also seen Hunter's self-titled videogame release in 2002, then Nacon brought Werewolf to virtual life with Earthblood in 2022, followed up by Choice of Games' choose-your-own-adventure-style visual novel, The Book of Hungry Names, in 2024. But with White Wolf taking ownership of the World of Darkness all over again, I ask LA By Night icon Jason Carl about the team's plans to adapt Werewolf or Hunter into projects as ambitious as Bloodlines 2. It's time to take on the legendary Galarian Pokémon in their Crowned forms in Pokémon Go and with the Hero's Journey Special Research at Pokémon Go Fest 2025: Global, you'll have a chance to get a lot of rewards throughout the process.
Not only will you unlock a bunch of items and rare Pokémon, you'll also get yourself one step closer to getting a Crowned Zacian or Zamazenta, depending on the choices you make. There are two Special Research tasks during Go Fest 2025 Global, so if you want to get Volcanion first, you're in the wrong place.
But if you do want to see what awaits you on the Hero's Journey, take one step towards your goal and see what awaits you over the weekend to complete each task.
