After more than two years in the shadows, Konami has finally shown off more of the next Silent Hill game. Silent Hill f will be the first mainline game in the iconic horror series since 2012's Downpour, and while it carries on the tradition of providing intense psychological horror in corrupted, fog-filled locations, it breaks free from the titular town of previous games. Instead, Silent Hill f will follow an all-new teenage protagonist in a town set in 1960s rural Japan.

The inZOI system requirements are finally out, and not only do we have four tiers ranging from minimum to high, but we also have specific details about optimizing performance through upscaling and how SSDs will impact performance.

If you're planning to run inZOI at the highest settings possible, you're going to need one of the best graphics cards alongside one of the best gaming CPUs.      With this one small change, AMD Radeon GPUs could kill a big Nvidia advantage

AMD has pulled off a miraculous comeback with its new GPUs, with the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT practically pointing and laughing at the RTX 5070 as it sputters with 12GB of VRAM. It's not just the new GPUs that wowed me with this launch, though, but also the feature set with FSR 4, and AMD just needs to make one change to this feature set to knock one of Nvidia's key competitive advantages out of the running - make FSR 4 an open standard that will run on Nvidia Tensor cores.

Can it be done? After enjoying my first FSR 4 test at CES earlier in January, and being really impressed by the vast improvement in quality, my first question was whether you could run it on other GPUs. The answer, of course, was no, you need a Radeon RX 9070 or 9070 XT GPU to run it. However, after pressing further, AMD told me that there was no technical reason why you couldn't run the tech itself on Nvidia Tensor cores, although last-gen AMD GPUs might struggle with it. It's just a case of whether AMD wants to open it up or not.

New Intel gaming CPUs will bring a surprise Arrow Lake upgrade, hints new report

A new Intel CPU lineup is reportedly in the works, based on the Arrow Lake architecture used in its existing Core Ultra 200 gaming CPUs. According to the latest rumor, the Intel Arrow Lake refresh is coming to both desktops and laptops, and given Intel's previous naming strategies, it could possibly use Intel Core Ultra 300 branding.

Previous rumors had pointed to the Intel Core Ultra 200 range being the only CPUs to use the new LGA1851 motherboard socket, severely limiting its longevity compared to AMD's AM4 and AM5 sockets. However, if this rumor is true, you could buy the best gaming motherboard you can afford for Intel Arrow Lake now, and potentially still be able to upgrade to a next-gen CPU later.

Maybe five or ten years ago, everybody was absolutely sick of climbing towers in Ubisoft games. Are we still? I'm not sure. If you've never scaled one of these landmarks, possibly because you have recently arrived from Mars, let me start you off on the ground floor. The open world tower mechanic dates back to the original Assassin's Creed in 2007, and is a simple, perennially gratifying narrative loop. It goes like this: you spy the tower on the horizon, you scuffle and shoulder through the city towards it, you savour the ensuing clamber - all those sinuous parkour animations, the wind around your ears as the urban backdrop fades - and then you get a nice view of Creation that also renders the scenery more consumable, by unfogging your map and populating it with content.

Check out the Silent Hill f First Official Trailer

Konami shared the first official trailer for Silent Hill f during the latest Silent Hill Transmission stream. The game is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC, and wishlists are now open on all platforms.

Over 2 years since the reveal of Silent Hill f, Konami has shared the first new details for the game with a new story trailer. The new footage introduces protagonist Shimizu Hinako, some of the areas in the game, as well as a first look at some of the monstrosities and creatures that await in the new mainline title in the series.

Silent Hill f takes place in Ebisugaoka, a rural town in Japan during the 1960s. The game focuses on Japanese themes, such as terror being able to be found within beauty, and what happens when this beauty becomes too intense. As part of the livestream, writer Ryukishi07 was invited to talk about his work on the title. Ebisugaoka is inspired by Kanayama in Gifu Prefecture, and was suggested by Ryukishi07 himself.

You can check out the new Silent Hill f trailer below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qFEyq8quhA

Yamaoka talked about including some Japanese elements and sounds in the soundtrack for the game, but wanting to make it an experience that international fans would also connect with. The game will include little easter eggs and references to the series, but will be a standalone title that doesn't require people to have played any game before.

Silent Hill f was originally announced on October 2022 with a teaser trailer revealing that Ryukishi07, writer and creator of the When They Cry series, would be the writer for the new title in the survival horror game series. No details have appeared since the announcement, with the Silent Hill 2 Remake being the latest title in the series to release.

Silent Hill f is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

final fanatsy xvi sales

In a story from Toyo Securities analyst Hideki Yasuda on the "volatile yet alluring gaming sector," he mentioned that sales for Square Enix's Final Fantasy XVI surpassed 3.5 million units worldwide. He also discussed the successes and failures of other Japanese games from the past few years. [Thanks, Kabutan!]

Yasuda brings up Final Fantasy XVI when discussing how Japanese IPs will soon become widely popular around the world. He predicts that Bandai Namco and Sony Group will have a large hand in that. Bandai Namco has anime going for it, whereas Square Enix has had successes like Final Fantasy XVI and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. However, he also warns investors of the unpredictability of the gaming sector, since Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai was a failure compared to other titles in the same series. It's not a stable market since the difference between a "good" game and a "bad" game is quite drastic, even if they belong to the same IP.

As a note, Square Enix had announced in June 2023 that sales for Final Fantasy XVI on the PS5 had passed 3 million units. This includes both digital and physical copies. Since the game is now available on the PC, it would mean that Square Enix only sold around 500,000 copies on both PS5 and PC since June 2023.

The full report looks at the shifting stocks for various gaming companies, as well as why certain games failed while others succeeded. For example, he noted that Koei Tecmo's Rise of the Ronin and Capcom's Kunitsugami: Path of the Goddess both led to dips in their respective companies' shares. He believes this is due to the games' names and confusing contents as to why the audience didn't like them. However, he also points to the success of Sega's Metaphor: ReFantazio, which adds a new story and characters to a foundation familiar to those who played the Persona series.

Final Fantasy XVI is readily available on the PS5 and Windows PC.

shadowverse worlds beyond

Cygames announced that it'll release Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond on June 17, 2025. It'll come out for the Windows PC and mobile devices. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Here is the new trailer for Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WbkeG_Rku0

The game will be available in Japanese, Korean, English, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. You can only play Simplified Chinese on the PC version, though.

Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond is an online digital card game that plays like an evolved form of the original Shadowverse. New mechanics include super-evolution, Shadowverse Park, and an AI advisor. You start each battle with two SEP, and you can expend one to activate super-evolution on any follower. Super-evolved followers can activate their Evolve and Super-Evolve abilities, gain Rush, gain +3 to ATK and DEF, cannot take damage, and cannot be destroyed by abilities during the player's turn.

The AI advisor is available in practice matches, and is still a beta feature. You can use this to learn how to play the game, as well as pick up basic rules and strategies. Shadowverse Park, which is also a new feature, is a World where you can wander around and engage in fun activities using a personalized avatar. You can socialize with other players, play card games with them, and participate in events like tournaments.

Other information that appeared include details on new leader characters. This includes Portalcraft Leader Dreizehn (Elsie Lovelock, Yu Sasahara), Forestcraft Leader Lovesign (Nazeeh Tarsha, Jun Fukuyama), and Heavencraft Leader Esperanza (Erin Nicole Lundquist, Mamiko Noto). More information on the game is available via the official Shadowverse website.

Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond will come out on June 17, 2025 for the Windows PC and mobile devices.

dark magician figure yu-gi-oh

A new figure of the Dark Magician from Yu-Gi-Oh has appeared in Taito online crane game machines. This is the newest work from the Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game Equal Arts series of figures. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]

The Dark Magician figure stands at around 200 mm tall. It's also striking the same pose as it was in the OCG (2nd in the TCG), in which he's holding out his staff while placing his other hand against his hat-like helmet. While the card art depicts him standing in front of a magic circle, the prize figure does not offer a background of said circle. Since this is a prize figure, you have to obtain it through the Taito online crane game, or via a proxy service.

Dark Magician (or Black Magician) is one of the more iconic monsters from the Yu-Gi-Oh series. It was Yugi's ace monster for most of the anime, as well as a key character in the final arc of Duel Monsters. It also spawned an entire archetype, which includes the equally popular monster, Dark Magician Girl. As such, both Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl often appear as figures or in crossover goods with other properties.

You can obtain the Dark Magician figure from Yu-Gi-Oh from Taito online crane games.

nintendo san francisco

Nintendo will open its second store in the United States on May 15, 2025 in San Francisco. You will need to make a reservation if you want to get in on the first day, and more details on the requirements for that will appear in the future.

The specific location of the Nintendo San Francisco branch will be 331 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94102. It's on the corner of Powell and Geary in Union Square, and you can reach it via Powell St station. As of the time of writing, the website doesn't have any information on a phone number, e-mail, or store hours. It also has a banner depicting popular Nintendo characters like Link, Mario, and Isabelle walking as if they're going to visit the store.

The only other official Nintendo Store in the States is in New York City's Rockefeller Plaza. Aside from buying goods from the games and seeing past consoles from the company's long history, the Nintendo Store sometimes holds exclusive events. For example, you could take a picture with Mario and Luigi on March 10, 2025 for Mar10 Day.

Other upcoming news from Nintendo includes a direct dedicated to the Switch 2, which will finally come out this year. You can catch the stream on April 4, 2025. While New York is one of the cities that'll host one of the Switch 2's "experiences," San Francisco is not.

Nintendo San Francisco will open up on May 15, 2025. More details on the grand opening will appear later.

Code Geass crossover event in Monster Strike

Mixi has revealed that it will add crossover content from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion to Monster Strike. The mobile game will have numerous collaboration events that run throughout the latter half of March 2025. They will reward characters from the anime series, and most of them will come from the R2 season.

This event will feature more than ten recruitable character units. Five of them—Lelouch, Kallen, Suzaku, Rolo, and Toudou—will be recruitable via gacha banners. Anya, Gino, Jeremiah, Cornelia, Bismarck, and Xingke will be available by clearing their respective quests, and C.C. will only be available by purchasing a starter pack.

Another set of Geass Missions will reward the Black Knights (Zero, Kallen, Ougi, and Kaname) as a single character unit. There will also be a daily login stamp campaign that will let players earn another character group unit based on the Ashford Academy students (Lelouch, Suzaku, Kallen, Shirley, Milly, and Rivaul).

Monster Strike has been one of the long-lasting titles that defined the Japanese mobile game scene for over ten years, with the other one being GungHo's Puzzle & Dragons. Both games have been recently known for adding crossover content from a vast number of external franchises, which have since also included the Mobile Suit Gundam series.

The Code Geass crossover event in the Japanese Android and iOS mobile game Monster Strike will launch on March 15, 2025. The closing date for each content in the event will vary between April 1-5, 2025.

The new FFXIV LINE sticker set is the fifth pack to come out based on the online RPG, and it costs 250 yen (or about $1.69.) The set includes 40 different stickers, and some of them include captions with text in Japanese. Most of the stickers focus on Minions looking cute, emoting, or making humorous expressions. However, some miscellaneous stickers are also included such as a dialogue box, a thought bubble, a Brink of Death status effect icon, and the "Level Up!" text.

You can take a better look at the various Final Fantasy XIV LINE stickers in the Volume 5 set here:

Other FFXIV LINE sticker sets have previously focused on iconic characters in the game and have been more text-heavy, with a lot more Japanese dialogue. However, some other LINE stickers have been inspired by community jokes, such as the infamous hexagonal low poly grapes. Yoshi-P even commented on the grape sticker back when it first released.

Final Fantasy XIV is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Capcom Figure Builder Creators Model Monster Hunter Lagiacrus figure restocked in March 2025

Capcom has just restocked its Monster Hunter figure of Lagiacrus on March 13, 2025. People have another chance to order the figure on e-Capcom at 13,200 yen. Those residing outside Japan can also place orders via the WorldShopping widget at around $89.15.

This Lagiacrus figure originally appeared in June 2012, which was the year after Capcom released Monster Hunter 3 G (Ultimate) for the Wii U and 3DS in Japan in 2011. The company also used to release alternate colored figures based on the Ivory and Abyssal subspecies simultaneously. However, only the regular species figure has received restocks multiple times in September 2018 and July 2024.

The more recent and frequent restocks may have been attributed to Lagiacrus' status as the third most-voted monster in the series' 20th anniversary poll held in 2024. Despite debuting as the flagship monster of the 2009 Wii entry Monster Hunter 3 (Tri), Capcom did not bring it back at all in the fifth-generation Monster Hunter entries World and Rise, along with their respective expansions Iceborne and Sunbreak. Lagiacrus does not appear in Monster Hunter Wilds either, as of the new game's launch in early 2025.

The Capcom Figure Builder Creators Model of Lagiacrus is now available for purchase again, while supplies last. The latest Monster Hunter game that features the Lagiacrus is Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, which is available worldwide on Nintendo Switch.

Alter Age - The party squares off against a pair of tough-looking fighters.

Alter Age is a competent RPG that does a few interesting things with a strange premise. Arga, our protagonist, has the ability to shift into a preteen version of himself at will. While this ability sounds useless when you're staring down a colossal plant monster, it causes shifts in your other party members as they age forward into grownups, gaining more combat capabilities. Swapping the ages of you and the other party members results in a simple, but entertaining battle system, and it also creates some interesting moments outside of battle as well. None of what this ability offers makes the game terribly deep or gripping, but it does make for some light RPG fun.

Arga has been struggling to leave his home town, but without an awakened class ability, he's out of luck. Naturally, his abilities finally reveal themselves shortly after starting the game, but their effects don't seem immediately useful to him. Being able to make yourself into a preteen doesn't have any apparent combat bonuses when you start, but simply having your Soul Alter ability gives you increased power in a fight. It's enough to help Arga win a battle against a little girl so that he can finally leave the town and start on his quest to hunt down his father, a powerful man who abandoned him and his sick mother long ago. That said, when he gets tricked into pairing up with a pair of young girls in his party, Lillieka and Elsie, his power's usefulness finally comes into play.

Alter Age gives preteens and grownups different roles to play in combat. In preteen form, you aren't capable of doing as much damage (although MP costs are reduced by 40%, making them useful as cheap spellcasters or users of support magic), but you accumulate Braver Hearts every turn. As a grownup, you do 20% more damage with skills, but you'll do even greater damage as you expend Braver Hearts on your strikes. Only grownups can expend Braver Hearts to get that boost, so what you'll be doing is swapping between forms to gain Braver Hearts until you have a bunch, then expending them as a grownup.

Alter Age - Arga being confused that he has turned into a preteen boy as he battles a young girl.

The kicker is that your party swaps ages in a very specific way. You have three characters, and every time Arga switches his age, both of the other characters will swap as well. This means that you'll have either grownup Arga with preteen Lillieka and Elsie or a preteen Arga with two grownup women. This can make your overall damage output a bit lopsided depending on how many adults you have in the party at a given time and how many preteens you have charging up Braver Hearts. This isn't a huge crisis during basic battles and many early boss fights, but the game's late game fights, bonus dungeons, and higher difficulty levels can make you pay more attention to how this mechanic works.

Grinding for levels largely kept me safe (although there can be some surprising difficulty spikes if you start getting lazy about your combat actions) and Alter Age's Bell items make that much easier to do. The game offers you some bells you can use that affect the frequency of combat as soon as you start the game. The Safe Bell lowers encounter rates significantly (and can drop them to 0 if you find a special place called a Mana Spot in the area). It's not bad if you're in a hurry, but the Encounter Bell was far more useful. With that equipped, you get in a fight every step you take, allowing you to rack up fights in a hurry. This allowed me to idly grind levels fairly quickly (and you gain levels pretty fast in the game), taking away some of the time sink needed if I wanted to get stronger or gain more money.

While I was seeing a lot of the combat system, I found it didn't look too bad. The various pixel art creatures look decent and have some good designs. The characters also look pretty good in motion as well as they go through their various special attacks. They often leap into combat together as well when you enter a command for one of them, making things feel a bit more dynamic as everyone joins in on the beatdowns. None of the designs of visual effects in combat left me truly floored, but it all looked solid when it came together. I had a good time beating on the monsters.

Alter Age - All three of the characters unite for a special attack.

In towns and in dialogue, though, Alter Age is a bit flat and generic, which is a shame as I expected a lot more from the story given the ability to change the character's ages. Much of the story feels filled with anime and fantasy tropes, making it all fairly dull to sift through. Changing the character ages does result in some slightly different dialogue options sometimes but a lot of the time it doesn't do anything. The few times it does do something, it's usually just a minor change in the dialogue or event. There are a few charming moments, but they're so far apart that it felt like a chore to look for them. I found myself begrudgingly trying the mechanic out in places only because I was playing the game for review; I would have stopped bothering with it had I been playing for my own benefit. It doesn't have any bearing on the story so it's really just a playful mechanic tossed into the game, but it feels like it was vastly underused.

The game tries to make up for its story being a bit uninteresting by giving you lots of reasons to tinker with its items and carry out actions in the game's world. There are tons of items you can pick up that you can Synthesize with your equipment to make it stronger, as well as food items you can put together to make special meals to power up the party. You also get a suite of quests you can complete, most of which are basic in-game tasks, to get a constant stream of rewards as you play. You have a ton of these quests available without picking them up, so you just reap a bunch of rewards from playing the game and doing things. It creates a steady stream of benefits, and adds some extra appeal to fighting things, opening treasure chests, and talking with people.

Alter Age makes use of its age-swapping mechanic to add some spice to its combat, but unfortunately fails to use it to make its story any more interesting. It's a decent RPG that has some good monsters to beat up using its systems, but its trope-filled storyline doesn't grab the imagination or stir the heart. It's a decent RPG that I wish had done just a little bit more with its premise, but as is, it still offers a bit of light entertainment.

Alter Age is available now on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC.

Wooper Joins Pokémon Plush Build-a-Bear Collection

Wooper is the next Pokemon creature to join the Build-a-Bear plush collection with a new bundle. The bundle costs $62.50 and is now available for purchase from the Build-a-Bear online store.

The bundle includes the Wooper plush itself, a diving goggle and tube set, as well as a five-in-one sound chip featuring various "voice" lines. The diving goggles and tube are optional parts that can be attached to the Pokemon to make it look like it's about to go on a swim. The float tube is red and features a pattern inspired by Pokeballs. The plush is 14 inches tall (or about 35.6cm.)

In a similar fashion to most Pokemon creatures, Wooper can only say its own name, so the various voice lines included capture different intonations, volume, and emotions with each delivery of Wooper's name. The five-in-one sound chip is exclusive to the online bundle and cannot be obtained on retail stores.

You can check out the new Build-a-Bear Wooper plush set in more detail here:

The Pokemon line of Build-a-Bear plushes is constantly receiving new additions, with the most recent one being a Yamper plush with a cape and bandana accessories. Furthermore, the Build-a-Bear Vaporeon plush was restocked for Pokemon Day 2025, which falls on February 27.

The items will range from stickers to T-shirts. Note that even though the goods are primarily sold in Japan, Capcom will use the English terms and names of the characters rather than the Japanese versions, such as "Palico" instead of "Otomo Airou."

The primary highlight of this lineup will be the Storm Glass art, which also costs the most at ¥4,950 (~$33.40). The background scene featuring the Plains biome inside this item will have a weather change emulation that depends on the room's temperature and humidity.

  • Leather keychain - ¥660 (5 random variants)

The Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration theme at Capcom Cafe will launch for a limited time from March 21, 2025. It will end at the Ikebukuro (Tokyo) outlet on April 30, 2025, and the Umeda (Osaka) outlet on May 1, 2025.

Getting a haircut in KCD2

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Barber Mode allows you to change up Henry's appearance, either with his hair or beard. As the newest feature of Patch 1.2, it adds a new layer from its launch version that finally personalizes this beloved character. So, let's dive into this latest mode.

How to change Henry's hair and beard in KCD2

You can find the Barber by the bathhouses of Zhelejov (Wagoner) and Kuttenberg (Adam). Look for a Comb icon near these locations.

The Barber should be at a tent next to the bathhouse, where they'll have a noticeable haircut setup.

When you speak to the Barber, you can get a haircut for 25 Groschen. The prices in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg are the same, but they could differ based on your reputation in these regions. Once you start the haircut, you have the freedom to toggle between Henry's Head and Beard. You can also preview the style to get a better idea of what it looks like. Then, confirm the payment to give him a chic new style.

If you're just starting out in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, use the Zhelejov location, which will be located on the first map. When you dive deeper into the main storyline, you'll eventually unlock Kuttenberg for the next Barber location.

Cozy cat games

There's nothing better as a gamer than finding a new title that appeals to one of our other interests. If you're a feline lover, there's something really special about games that feature our little furry friends.

Cats and gamers often go hand-in-hand. Sitting down to a long gaming session is only all the better if you've got a cat curled up at your side or on your lap. If you want to take your love for cats and inject some of the feline into your gaming experience, here are 10 cozy games that center around cats.

Stray

Cat and B-12 in Stray
Image via BlueTwelve Studio

Can't write up a list of cat games without including the pinnacle that is Stray. Exploring the world as a cat, completing quests, and meeting new people is somehow so much more palatable with four legs and whiskers. Stray won multiple awards, and there is an animated movie version of the game in development right now.

There's something really satisfying about solving puzzles to progress the story and interacting with the world around you to open up new paths. But perhaps the best thing about stray is that you can just lay down and rest, and it ends up being an almost live screensaver of a kitty taking a break.

An Arcade Full of Cats

Cat versions of Doc Brown and Marty McFly next to a DeLorean-esque car outside the Arcade in Arcade Full of Cats
Image via DevCats

I make no secret about it; I have a certain soft spot for hidden cat games. I love completing a scene by finding all the cats, even if it gets frustrating and you begin going cross-eyed when you've been staring at the screen for a long time. An Arcade Full of Cats is the best of the best, and it's part of a collection from Devcats.

Devcats is an incredible developer because any money they make from their inexpensive titles is donated directly to cat shelters. Each of their games features real-life cats that have been rescued or helped thanks to their donations, and that instantly makes every single one worth buying.

Little Kitty, Big City

Cat holding bread in Little Kitty, Big City
Image via Double Dagger Studio

A cat jumps out of a window and finds itself lost in the big city, helped by a Raccoon who can create teleport points, and a raven who just wants anything shiny. Little Kitty, Big City is packed with fun and cuteness and a seemingly endless collection of puzzles to solve.

You can steal food from the humans, pounce on birds, increase your stamina to boost the heights to which you can climb, make friends with a dog, and even unlock and wear a long list of adorable hats. There's never a shortage of things to do in Little Kitty, Big City, and the particularly cute art style helps boost the enjoyment factor.

Cat Quest III

Cats in Cat Quest III
Image via The Gentlebros

Cat Quest III is a 2.5D swashbuckling adventure that sees you playing as an adorable pixel pirate cat in the Purribean, kitted out with your very own ship as you explore the open seas. There's a risk of 'meow-tiny' (sorry), and you need to be on the lookout for the Pirate King, but other than that, I'd still consider Cat Quest III pretty darn cozy.

If you thought 'meow-tiny' was a bad pun, then you will have an issue with the puns in Cat Quest III because they are absolutely everywhere. Whether it's the item names or the litany of puns sprinkled into regular conversation. Frankly, I love cat puns, but I realize this might not be for everybody.

CATO: Buttered Cat

Cat and Toast in a 3D section of CATO: Buttered Cat
Image via Team Woll

Whether CATO can be considered cozy or not depends on your enjoyment of old-school platformers and how frustrated you can get when playing them. CATO: Buttered Cat is inspired by the buttered cat meme, in which cats always land on their feet, but buttered toast always lands buttered-side down. So, what way does a buttered cat land?

Well, it infinitely spins, is the quick answer, and also the basic premise of CATO: Buttered Cat. The two characters (Cat and Toast) must be controlled individually and together to solve 140 main platform-based puzzle levels and 60 side levels, offering up a huge amount of platforming fun to get stuck into. Plus, there are several skins to unlock for both Cat and Toast, so you can lose hours just trying to get them all.

Cats and Soup

Cats and Soup artwork
Image via HIDEA

If you're looking for something infinitely more chilled than the previous entries, I highly recommend the mobile game Cats and Soup. It's an idle game, running in the background while you go about daily life, and the adorable cats in their equally adorable costumes are always there to welcome you whenever you get a minute to check in.

There are new recipes to unlock as you progress, hundreds of cats who will eventually fill your screen with their feline cuteness, and a never-ending list of things to do and upgrade to get the most out of your kitty friends. Plus, what better than a game you can get through in only a few minutes each day?

Cattails: Wildwood Story

Image via Falcon Development

If you've ever played Stardew Valley and thought to yourself, "Well, this is great, but I really wish that everyone was a cat", then Cattails: Wildwood Story is just the game you've been waiting for. There's even a friendship and marriage system with the various other cats in the Wildwood, so all the familiar cozy game mechanics are present.

The game requires you to set up a new colony for cats in a world set to rights in the predecessor Cattails. You can choose where this settlement will go, customize it to your tastes, and then lure cats to come and make their home there. The settlement is expanded when you attract more residents, and your cat can even do the gardening, clearly not limited by their lack of thumbs.

Cats Organized Neatly

Cats being organized in Cats Organized Neatly
Image via DU&I

I'm willing to admit that cleaning up a space and making things fit neatly into boxes is not the height of excitement for many people, but there are those (me, I'm one of them) who find a lot of enjoyment out of organizing items into their respective places and seeing them fall into place. It's why I enjoy Tetris and also why I love Cats Organized Neatly

It's essentially a feline take on a Tangram-esque premise. You're given a selection of bizarrely shaped cats and a fixed amount of space to fit them all in. Sometimes there are unmovable obstacles as part of the board, and sometimes you have more free reign over the space. More often than not, there's only one acceptable solution for you to find. It can get a little frustrating, but the art style is adorable, which helps.

Cat Goes Fishing

Image via Cat5Games

A large chunk of the cozy gaming community seems to think that fishing is the height of fun. For the most part, I can't bring myself to agree (although I have had my moments). However, Cat Goes Fishing takes that element of gozy gaming and dedicates an entire game to the task, and it's weirdly enjoyable.

You start with a basic rod, and your only task is to catch fish. As you catch and sell valuable fish, you can upgrade your rod to catch even more valuable fish or buy a boat and sail out to sea. You can customize your rod and unlock hats, all while filling out the fish collection one catch at a time.

Cat Café Manager

It's remarkable how many games these days begin with a grandparent dying and leaving you something decrepit to fix up, and Cat Café Manager starts similarly. However, Cat Café Manager pulls ahead of the rest by tasking you to make friends with the local cat population and invite them into your café, thereby turning it into the area's first and most impressive cat café.

You can customize the café itself, hire a full team of staff, help them polish up on their skills, and even come up with special recipes to offer to the paying public. You'll need to build relationships with both cats and humans to make the café successful, and there's always something that needs doing to make things run smoothly.

Tithing Worm sitting among some tentacles in Destiny 2

Are you playing new Destiny 2 content? Then, there are bound to be secrets and hidden collectibles. In Act 2 of Destiny 2: Heresy, you'll be looking for eight more Tithing Wormspawn, found only in the seasonal Nether arena. We'll show you all their locations here.

How to find all Tithing Wormspawn in Destiny 2: Heresy

To start your search for the Heresy Act 2 Tithing Wormspawn, you need to be on the Path of Ambition—a simple matter.

How to Start the Path of Ambition

  • Start a Nether: Explore activity on the Path of Resolve.
  • Make your way to the Hall of Souls and the Court of Blades in it. That's the area with the large hallway of Hive totems.

  • Look under the bridge in the red-lit room where you spawn in a Court of Blades activity. Pick up the Tithing Worm you find there to start the Writ: Path of Ambition quest.
  • Complete the Writ: Path of Ambition mission, launched from the H.E.L.M. Director. You'll follow a set of Taken portals through the Dreadnaught until you reach a door covered in Taken corruption.
  • Defeat the Wizard and Acolytes, then stand on the pad before the door until it transports you to the Ascendant Plane. After the shift, step off the plate to be transported to the Center of Corruption. Walk forward enough for the Taken eyes to appear.
  • When teleported into a pocket dimension, interact with the Slab and fight off several waves of enemies.
  • Once prompted, return to Eris's flat and interact with the Altar near the Shaping Slab. Interact with it when it says "Embrace your Ambition" to officially walk the Path of Ambition.

Check the Shaping Slab, and your character should be holding back a ball of Taken energy to show you've properly started down the right path. Doing so also allows the new Tithing Worms to appear in the Nether.

Mausoleum Tithing Wormspawn locations in Desitny 2

There are currently two Tithing Wormspawn per zone in the Nether. The ones in the Mausoleum are some of the easiest to find. Make your way to the bright blue, tentacular area where you'd normally start the activity if you loaded into the area at the start of a Nether run.

First Mausoleum Tithing Worm location

From that starting position, climb onto the large tentacle leading deeper into the bright area and keep your eyes peeled on the far wall.

You'll see the Wormspawn sitting on a Taken Blight near the floor.

Second Mausoleum Tithing Worm location

The second Wormspawn is further into the tentacled area. Return to the large tentacle near the starting area and walk along it toward the line of light near the back of the area.

You should just be able to see the Wormspawn on top of the curled tentacle to the right of the line of light.

Trenchway Tithing Wormspawn locations in Destiny 2

The two Trenchway Tithing Wormspawn couldn't be farther apart. One is accessible in the starting area. It just takes a little walking to get there. The other is across the vast chasm at the zone's edge.

To get the easier of the two Trenchway Tithing Wormspawn, head to the area overlooking the shattered rings of Saturn. If you're facing the inside of the Dreadnaught, continue to the left of the area.

You'll find the Wormspawn atop the light brown rock beneath the tentacle orb encounter marker, surrounded by additional broken rocks.

This Wormspawn is at the far end of the white-lit chasm on the other side of the Trenchway. Take the passage out of the starting area and cross when you get to the chamber with the huge pit.

Once you reach the far wall, keep right and continue until you're across from the altar with the green energy waterfalls. You should see a bit of the structure peeling away from the wall.

Jump into the crevice at the bottom of the peel to find the Wormspawn.

The Founts Tithing Wormspawn Locations

The two Tithing Wormspawn in The Founts are fairly close together. The trick is getting to the area in the first place. The Founts are only accessible by completing at least one encounter elsewhere in the Nether, and you aren't guaranteed a trip there every run. As such, it might take you a little while to get these two Wormspawn. Play enough, and you'll get there.

First Founts Tithing Worm location

Head to the end of the room with the large door locked with Hive runes and covered in blue tentacles. Facing away from the door, look up and to your right.

Jump up onto the blue tentacle, then onto the black tentacle from the sphere above it. You'll find the Wormspawn sitting on a set of bulbous growths coming out of the wall.

Second Founts Tithing Wormspawn location

Hop down from the first Wormspawn in the Founts and head through the passageway directly under where you just were.

Turn right and hug the far wall of the blue-lit chamber until you come across a coalescing of the tentacles. There's likely a Nether encounter here you'll need to clear for easy access to the Wormspawn.

Facing the bright white nexus of tentacles, jump over the set just to the left of the coalescence to find the Wormspawn hiding among the corruption.

All Hall of Souls Tithing Worm locations

I'm using the Court of Blades as the starting point for the Hall of Souls Tithing Wormspawn locations. Head there and stand on the upper platform, looking down the hallway with the Hive Thrall totems.

Turn right from the Court of Blades and cross the chasm into the encounter area at the far end of the hallway.

In the encounter room, you'll see some Taken Blights hanging in the air. The Wormspawn is sitting on the biggest, highest Blight.

Return to the Court of Blades and, facing away from the totem hallway, take the back right path. Near the end of the passage, look down and to the right to see a hole in the wall. Jump down and crouch through.

Once in the chitinous cave, turn left and drop down to find the last of the Wormspawn.

Those are all the Path of Ambition Tithing Wormspawn we can currently access in Destiny 2: Heresy. We'll update this article as more become available.

EA FC 25 Six of the Best SBC solutions

The leaks for FUT Birthday Team 2 players have started doing the rounds on social media, and EA FC 25 players could find some fabulous cards in the packs in Ultimate Team.

The second team is expected to arrive in packs on Friday, March 14, and they will directly replace Team 1 cards. So far, EA Sports hasn't hinted about which cards will make it to the second team, but thanks to the leaks, we have a faint idea about some of the superstars who could be added to the Birthday celebrations.

All EA FC 25 FUT Birthday Team 2 players (leaks)

The second team is already shaping up to be a defensive delight for many, as three of the first four leaks include CBs. After a long time, we will get a special card for Van Dijk, widely considered the best CB in the Ultimate Team mode. As usual, all these items will have 5* Weak Foot and 5* Skills, sticking closely with the theme of the FUT Birthday promo.

The second week will also have new SBCs and objectives for players to complete. So far, we have had some fantastic SBCs during the first week, and we also have detailed guides about how to complete them in the first place. Unlike items in packs, you won't have to rely on your luck to use a promo card that will be part of SBCs and objectives.

Hunter Battle stance in MH Wilds

As with previous Monster Hunter games, Wilds offers the ability to equip a secondary weapon, giving players even more combat versatility. With so many options, picking the right one can be overwhelming. Don't worry—we've got you covered with our ranking of the best secondary weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds.

MH Wilds secondary weapons tier list

Since everyone has their own unique playstyle, there's not necessarily a wrong choice for a secondary weapon. However, some tools will work much better than others, especially if your primary centers around up close and personal attacks. We'll start this list off with the best MH Wilds secondary weapons, then dive into the ones that fit better for your primary slot.

S Tier

Hunter carrying a Bow
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Bow

    • The Bow has been my go-to secondary weapon to pinpoint those mid-range shots. It pairs nicely with melee-heavy tools like the Dual Blades and Long Sword. The Bow can even be just as mobile as these weapons, allowing you to dodge numerous enemy attacks.

  • Light Bowgun

    • If you're seeking a dynamic alternative to the Bow, the Light Bowgun could be your perfect match. With its lightning-fast firing rate, it unleashes a flurry of shots in rapid succession, delivering high-speed attacks.

  • Heavy Bowgun

    • For those with close to mid-range primaries, it's best to use the Heavy Bowgun as a secondary. With this tool, you'll reach greater distances and deal devastating damage through its special ammo. However, if you're on the defense, you'll likely need to switch to your primary, as the Heavy Bowgun doesn't really excel in mobility.

  • Great Sword

    • While the Bow class is great for ranged attacks, the Great Sword is more suited for players looking for high damage rates. Use it to bring down the enemy's health bar considerably or block attacks with its guard. Keep in mind that this sword is relatively slow in movement, so you can change to a more mobile primary when things start to heat up in battle.

  • Hammer

    • Similar to the Great Sword, the Hammer boasts high-damaging attacks but with a little more mobility. Its charged strikes can be brutal and may even stun the enemy when you target their heads.

  • Hunting Horn

    • The Hunter Horn differs from many weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds due to its unique support abilities. Swing this tool around to gain buffs from Melodies or Echo Bubbles. It's also great for those who play in multiplayer mode, giving allies an extra boost.

  • Lance

    • If you primarily focus on offense, the Lance will be your weapon for defense. This tool will work wonders when the monsters are on the attack, possibly saving you from being downed. You can also use the Lance for counterattacks to catch the enemy off guard.

A Tier

Hunter wielding Insect Glaive
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Dual Blades

    • Although the Dual Blades can be a primary weapon, they also have the potential to be a secondary. It's mainly in the A tier for those who use slow-moving tools, quickening up the pace of a fight. I would say it's better for a battle's mid-stages than the beginning since it won't do much damage initially (monsters are more well-protected at first).

  • Insect Glaive

    • The Insect Glaive earns its spot in the A tier for the same reason as the Dual Blades: it's an excellent secondary weapon that prompts fast-paced attacks. Additionally, the Kinsects (bugs from the Smithy) are top-notch for buffs, helping you last longer in Monster Hunter Wilds' many grueling showdowns.

B Tier

Hunter holding Long Sword
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Sword and Shield

    • The Sword and Shield lands in the B Tier mainly because it shines brightest as a primary weapon. Some players who use it as their main don't even use a secondary altogether due to its well-balanced features. Nevertheless, the Sword and Sheild still has the potential as an alternate tool—especially for those with heavy hitters in their primary.

  • Long Sword

    • Compared to the Great Sword, the Long Sword has more variety with combos and mobility. With its Spirit Gauge, you'll deliver forceful blows that can send monsters flying. But since it doesn't have a guard maneuver, you'll likely need to switch out to your main weapon to defend yourself.

  • Gunlance

    • The Gunlance is another balanced weapon that gives you offense and defense. The only downside is that it isn't the greatest with mobility, letting you alternate to tools like the Insect Glaive or Dual Blades.

C Tier

Hunter holding Charge Blade
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Switch Axe

    • The Switch Axe is a powerhouse that excels in nearly every aspect, making it more likely to be your primary weapon than a secondary one. With its dual modes, you can seamlessly switch between the Axe's long-reaching, powerful strikes and the Sword's nimble, fast-paced attacks.

  • Charge Blade

    • The Charge Blade functions relatively like the Switch Axe, where you can alternate between its Sword and Axe modes. On the other hand, it does include a guard through Sword if you want better protection.

Before you head out with your secondary weapons, it's essential to experiment with them in the Training Area. This will give you a clear understanding of which combos are most effective for your playstyle. For a comprehensive list of the best tools in Monster Hunter Wilds, both primary and secondary, be sure to check out our ultimate weapon tier list.

an image of Sledge in Rainbow Six Siege X

Ubisoft finally revealed all the details about Rainbow Six Siege X on March 13, 2025, and the devs are bringing a ton of new changes to the tactical first-person shooter.

Siege X will mark a new era of the Rainbow Six franchise, with a new game mode, core gameplay updates, new modernised maps, an advanced rappelling system, a game engine, and so much more. Here's a rundown of all the changes the new update brings along.

New game mode and map – Dual Front and District

Dual Front is the new 6v6 game mode in Siege, where Attack and Defend occur simultaneously. It takes place in the new map, District, which is the biggest map in the game so far, ever-evolving, and divided into three sectors. The objective is to shut down their server and defend yours.

Once you're attacking a sector, you have to plant the defuser to "sabotage" it. The mechanics are very similar to how regular Siege game modes work, except the entire duration is divided into three 'ticks.' If you manage to defend it, the progress reverts to the last tick.

The pool of Operators here is a mix of both Attackers and Defenders, and respawning is allowed. Due to the nature of the new mode, the count of Operator abilities will also differ. The Operator pool will also rotate every season to keep things fresh. Dual Front will release with Year 10 Season 2 on June 10, 2025.

https://twitter.com/Rainbow6Game/status/1900232547524575532

Advanced rappeling system and weapon inspection

With Siege X, the rappelling system has become more advanced and smoother. You can now move faster, and the new mechanic allows you to run horizontally and cross the corners of buildings.

Also, weapon inspection is finally going to be a thing in Rainbow Six Siege X. All those hours and money spent on acquiring different skins – you'd finally be able to inspect them, just like Call of Duty or Counter-Strike.

Free access to skins

Since Rainbow Six Siege X will be a free-to-play overhaul, paid players will get exclusive skins and a badge. The badge will be determined by the time they first played Siege. If you've been playing from Year 1, you will also get Black Ice as an additional reward.

Communication Wheel and Ranked ban

Ubisoft has introduced a new Communication Wheel. This will provide another way of communicating for those without mics or who don't want to use the Voice Chat feature.

The developers have also introduced a new ranked ban system. Now, Attackers can only ban Defenders, and Defenders can only ban Attackers.

A Warhammer Space Marine stands upon a pile of Tyranids in Space Marine 2

While some fans were excited by today's announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 officially entering development, others feel like it may be a bit too soon due to the lack of content that Space Marine 2 has received since its launch 6 months ago.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqHnrhIoEiE

A post over on the /r/gaming subreddit discussing the Space Marine 3 development announcement seems pretty split, with some fans just happy to get more Space Marine goodness while others aren't impressed. "Hope it has more content than 2," states user Possible-Emu-2913, which to be fair is a perfectly reasonable request. "Yeah this is disappointing news for people still hoping for substantial support for SM2," responded user -thecheesus-.

https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/1jagrxa/space_marine_3_is_officially_in_development/

For what it's worth, Focus Entertainment did confirm in the Space Marine 3 development announcement that they will continue to support Space Marine 2 with exciting content and regular updates in the coming years.

It's important to note that this is an extremely early announcement for Space Marine 3. For comparison, Space Marine 2 was announced at The Game Awards in December 2021, and just released in September 2024, meaning there was almost three years between the announcement and its subsequent release. Assuming today's reveal means development has literally just begun, it could be even longer until Space Marine 3 actually releases.

Some fans in the subreddit feel as though Saber and Focus should take the opportunity to release some narrative campaign DLC and expansions for Space Marine 2, arguing that the game "dropped as a solid platform short of content, with the wheels greased for significant additions to expand the game." Of course, not everyone agrees, with fans pointing out that they'd rather they focus on singular full-price games rather than bite-sized DLC drops over the next few years.

Realistically, this should be a best of both worlds scenario. Not all games receive support this long after release, so knowing that Space Marine 2 is going to continue to get some updates and content while the follow-up is already in development regardless of how that content sells is a rare win for fans in the industry these days.

For me personally, I just can't wait to see what enemy faction will be at the forefront of Space Marine 3. Orks and Tyranids, while vastly different, are similar in the sense that they are both "zerg-like" in that they have mass numbers that have kind of led to the horde onslaught-style gameplay the series has utilized in the first two games.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 3 is currently in development with no expected release timeframe.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Magic Carpet companion

Disney Dreamlight Valley has all kinds of companions, gliders, and other cosmetics you can unlock to make things more personalized. The Magic Carpet companion and glider are two examples that look cool and are relatively easy to obtain early in your playthrough.

How to get the Magic Carpet companion

Unlocking the Magic Carpet companion requires completing the Aladdin Realm's storyline. There are six quests to advance through, with The Ancient Revealed becoming available immediately after entering the realm and Carpet Diem wrapping up the story. You'll unlock the Magic Carpet shortly after completing Carpet Diem.

After starting the Aladdin Realm's storyline, you'll meet Jasmine and help her find Aladdin while figuring out what happened to Agrabah. Once you find Aladdin and start his half of the realm's quests, you'll encounter Carpet Diem as the story's finale, introducing you to the Magic Carpet and unlocking it as a companion upon completion.

How to get the Dreamlight Magic Carpet glider

You'll unlock the Dreamlight Magic Carpet glider after completing Aladdin's level four friendship quest. Aladdin's friendship quest, Bring Your Own Carpet, walks you through enchanting and using the carpet for its intended purpose, bringing you along on a village tour that showcases its flying abilities.

While the Magic Carpet from Carpet Diem is a companion that'll follow you and pose with you in pictures, the Dreamlight Magic Carpet glider lets you fly around your village. Or, well, you'll hover above the ground while riding the carpet. At least it still looks cool.

How to equip the Magic Carpet companion and glider

Once you unlock the Magic Carpet companion and Dreamlight Magic Carpet glider during Aladdin's quests, you'll find both in your companion and glider customization menus. To access these, head into your inventory, select Wardrobe, and pick either Companions or Gliders. The companions menu appears near the top of the list, while gliders are at the bottom alongside Costumes and the Hidden categories page.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3 is officially in development, Saber Interactive, Focus Entertainment, and Games Workshop announced in a press release on March 13.

The game will feature a new campaign, multiplayer modes, and everything that has made the Space Marine series a success. Following the strong reception of Space Marine 2 in September 2024, the game's community remains highly active, with peak concurrent player counts ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 on Steam and an overall positive rating of over 80% on the platform.

Now, Saber Interactive, Focus Entertainment, and their partners are looking to build on that success with Space Marine 3.

Space Marine 3 is planned, but it's still a long way off

While the announcement confirms that development has begun, it only means the game is in its earliest stages. As the companies themselves have stated, "Space Marine 3 is likely years away from release."

Considering the Space Marine 2 development timeline, this could mean the sequel is over three years away. The current title was announced in December 2021 with a cinematic trailer, with an eventual September 2024 release three years later.

At this point, there are no trailers or gameplay details for Space Marine 3, just a single promotional image included in the announcement. It's safe to expect that the wait for it will likely be longer than three years.

The only promises the developers made so far are "an immersive campaign, a multiplayer mode, and innovations that will redefine the standards of third-person action games." In a press release, they also teased "large-scale battles that are even more spectacular" than those in Space Marine 2.

Space Marine 2 will continue to receive support

For Space Marine 2 players, the good news is that ongoing support for the game will continue, even as Space Marine 3 enters development. According to the developers:

"We have been honored by the incredible response from fans following the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. We will continue to support the game with exciting content and regular updates in the coming years," they wrote. They've also confirmed that a Horde mode is coming soon.

Rainbow 6 Siege new Dual Front mode shows two teams fighting it out in an open area

Ubisoft revealed today that an all-new game mode, Dual Front, is coming to the tactical FPS Rainbow 6 Siege as part of its Siege X showcase which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. I had a chance to play a few rounds of the innovative new mode, and it's an absolute game changer for Rainbow 6 Siege.

Rainbow 6 Siege Dual Front mode battle over objectives between two teams
Screenshot via Ubisoft

The new Dual Front mode essentially breaks the map into different sections and splits it between the two teams. Rather than teams of 5, Dual Front utilizes teams of 6, creating a new tug-of-war style of gameplay in 6v6 battles. Each team is split into two groups of three, with one of the groups assigned the role of attacking, and the other assigned the role of defending.

You aren't bound by your group's assigned role—you can opt to run across the map and join the attackers if you were assigned to defense, for example—but that of course can create a weakness for your team. Both teams have one of those split sections of the map with an objective you must defend from the other team taking.

If you manage to secure the objective, the map updates, essentially changing the turf of the section, and changing the new attack/defend objectives for each team. Of course, this would be odd with the normal 1-life per round nature of Siege, so instead death results in a brief cooldown before you can respawn in one of your team's claimed sections.

Rainbow 6 Siege Dual Front Mode gameplay shows two teams facing off down a narrow hallway
Screenshot via Ubisoft

As someone who loves Siege but has only played a handful of times since its release 10 years ago, this is exactly the kind of mode to get me back into it. A mode that still utilizes the well-optimized and tight gunplay that Siege is known best for, while raising the stakes a bit to create a more fast-paced environment. Camping is essentially a debuff to your team in this mode, which is a natural way to eliminate another one of my frustrations with the core gameplay mode.

The tug-of-war style gameplay still rewards players for being tactical, as securing a location and keeping it defended is equally as important as pushing forward and securing the objective to expand your team's control of the map. I'm excited to see how strategies evolve from the core game into Dual Front as more experienced player's figure out the best ways to attack and defend at the same time.

Those interested in checking out the new Rainbow 6 Siege Dual Front game mode can do so during a closed beta running from March 13 through March 19.

Fortnite's Golden Gunslinger quest series is the perfect opportunity to explore Chapter 6, Season 2's gameplay mechanics and receive special rewards along the way. While its free rewards include a pickaxe and glider, the Battle Pass-exclusive options feature three Midas skins and several other cosmetic goodies.

Fortnite Golden Gunslinger quest list

Fortnite's Golden Gunslinger quests are released over several weeks. While its first week includes seven objectives that unlock a few reward tiers, you won't encounter the rest until later this month. Here's the complete list of Golden Gunslinger quests and tips for finishing them:

Drop One

Quest Description Reward
Eliminate Fletcher Kane or guards from his Pack (20) Travel to any bank vault or armored vehicle around Fortnite's map to encounter Fletcher Kane's guards. You can also find Fletcher Kane himself by visiting any vault with his map icon present. 30K XP
Deal 100 damage to opponents with a single shotgun blast (3) You can find any shotgun through treasure chest rewards, floor loot, or player elimination drops. The higher its rarity, the more damage it'll inflict. You can also buy shotguns from Crime City's Black Market. 30K XP
Collect or spend Bars in a single match (1,500) You'll collect Gold Bars over time as you loot chests, eliminate players, and break into bank vaults. If you already have enough Gold Bars, head to any Black Market or Vending Machine and purchase a few weapons until you hit 1,500 spent. 30K XP
Travel distance on Grindable Rails (200) You'll find Grindable Rails in POIs like Shiny Shafts and inside Black Market tunnels. Ride around on these rails until you complete the objective. You can complete this over multiple matches if needed. 30K XP
Open Vaults (3) You'll find bank vaults in Lonewolf Lair, Crime City, Masked Meadows, and Seaport City. Head to any of these landmarks and use Thermite to break open their doors. You can do this over several matches. 30K XP
Collect different Medallions or Boons (4) Medallions appear as drops from Fletcher Kane and Shogun X when you defeat them. You can also pick up Medallions from players if they have one equipped. Alternatively, you can purchase Boons from Black Markets. 30K XP
Survive Storm Circles (20) You'll naturally progress through this objective as you play Fortnite matches and survive past the first few minutes. The longer you last in a round, the more storm circles you'll survive. 30K XP

Golden Gunslinger's second drop will begin on March 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. ET. If you complete every quest above, you'll have to wait until this time to get your next set of objectives and rewards.

GTA 6 has a strong chance of releasing on PC, and Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has already hinted at it.

While retailers are launching their own GTA 6 preorders and possibly leaking the game's price, fans are speculating about everything—from the game's lighting to whether John Cena is involved, and even going as far as creating fake guidebooks for GTA 6.

But the biggest unanswered question remains: Will GTA 6 come to PC? So far, the game has only been officially confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

An image of main characters in GTA 6.
Image via Rockstar Games

Why a GTA 6 PC version is all but confirmed

When asked about a possible GTA 6 PC version earlier this year, Take-Two's CEO said the company releases its games on additional platforms later, focusing on consoles first, then release them on other platforms later.

While he didn't explicitly confirm a PC release, there really aren't any other platforms for GTA 6 to land on, especially since the Nintendo Switch never even got GTA 5. That makes it highly unlikely that the Nintendo Switch 2 would get GTA 6, meaning the only realistic "other platform" would be PC.

Whether it eventually arrives on Steam, the Epic Games Store, or a cloud service like GeForce Now, GTA 6 is almost certainly coming to PC—it's just a matter of when. Of course, this assumes Rockstar won't release a mobile version of GTA 6, similar to how GTA 5 never had a mobile port. A mobile adaptation, if it ever happens, would likely be something completely different from the console and PC versions.

But here's why a GTA 6 PC version likely won't be ready by Fall 2025

That said, Rockstar has a long history of delaying PC releases for their biggest games. Both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on consoles first, with PC versions following much later.

GTA 5 released on Windows 18 months after its PS3 and Xbox 360 launch, while Red Dead Redemption 2's PC port was slightly quicker to arrive and came out 13 months after the PS4 and Xbox One release.

A former Rockstar developer hinted that this delayed release is strategical—Rockstar prioritizes launching games on the platforms that generate the most sales first, then works on PC ports later. So, it's already expected that GTA 6 will launch first in Fall 2025 for PlayStation and Xbox, with a likely PC release sometime between late 2026 and early 2027.

Another big reason Rockstar is almost guaranteed to bring GTA 6 to PC is GTA Online. The PC version of the title has an entire ecosystem of mods and third-party role-playing servers that have kept the game alive for years.

Since Rockstar acquired Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM, a major force in GTA Online's modding community, it's unlikely they would abandon this part of their business when launching a new game. Instead, it makes far more sense for them to build on that success and bring GTA 6 to PC when the time is right.

Clover Crave event character

Black Ops 6 Season 2 is set to go out with a bang, wrapping up with the St. Patrick's Day-inspired Clover Craze event. Here's everything you need to know about this celebration, including how to participate and earn rewards.

How to play the Clover Craze event in BO6 and Warzone

You can earn rewards in the Clover Craze event by collecting clovers from BO6 Multiplayer and Zombies eliminations or opening Supply Caches in Warzone. Grab a clover from a fallen foe each time you get a kill, allowing you to unlock a unique cosmetic on the Event page.

Collecting Clovers in BO6 Multiplayer
Screenshot by Destructoid

Depending on your luck, you can uncover the following clover rarities:

  • Three Leaf Clover: 1 Clover
  • Four Leaf Clover: 5 Clovers
  • Gold Clover: 10 Clovers

Farm enough Gold Clovers to gain a significant amount of points quickly. You can track how much you've earned during a match on the start menu, which will be next to your Daily Challenges. Then, head over to the Event page to choose the reward you want to unlock, including the final weapon blueprint tiers.

All Clover Craze rewards and how to get them

Here's a full breakdown of all Clover Craze rewards:

Rewards Clover Cost
Archie's Fortune Spray 60 Clovers
Pot O' Gold Emblem 180 Clovers
Patty's Pal Weapon Charm 360 Clovers
Lucky Rainbow Calling Card 600 Clovers
Flyswatter Wildcard (BO6) or 30 min Battle Pass 2XP (Warzone) 1,100 Clovers
Low Profile Perk (Warzone) or Drop of Luck Weapon Sticker (BO6) 1,800 Clovers
Cloverleaf Ames 85 Assault Rifle Blueprint or Cloverleaf Blackcell (premium-exclusive) Collect all Clovers from past tiers

The Flyswatter is one of the standout gifts of the event, as it offers a new Wildcard for you to try. Equip it to replace your Dedicated Melee weapon with a Launcher. It's perfect for players who need extra firepower, especially those who don't utilize their melees too often. However, keep in mind that Warzone users will get a Battle Pass 2XP reward instead, given that Wildcards aren't involved in this version.

Although Warzone players will miss out on the Flyswatter Wildcard, they can earn an exclusive Low Profile perk. This buff lets you move faster while crouched, prone, or downed. Plus, any opponents you've killed won't show any death markers, which typically signal their teammates.

By the end of it, you'll earn the Cloverleaf Blueprints for the Ames 85. Warzone and Black Ops 6 players will gain a shiny green-colored look for this Assault Rifle, while Blackcell users get an animated skin coated in black.

When does the Clover Craze event end in BO6 and Warzone?

According to the in-game event page, the Clover Craze event will conclude by March 26, 2025. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle event will also be available, which got an extension with the Season 3 delay. There's already been a few teasers on what to expect next, including a look into the new Zombies Mansion map. But before the following season comes out, make sure to collect Clover Craze and TMNT's event rewards while they last.

The Keraunios is a new trace rifle that arrived in Destiny 2 as part of 2025's Guardian Games event. While players have had no shortage of Arc trace rifles over the last few months, this one has some particularly interesting rolls for PvE players, especially given the current Artifact.

Destiny 2 is always adding new weapons and loot to the game, and there's no better time than during a holiday or event. The Guardian Games have started back up, and along with a new boss rush activity, the Keraunios trace rifle is up for grabs. It's one that PvE-minded players will want to spend some time hunting, as the gun can drop with some of the best Arc Perks currently in the game. But what exactly are you looking for as you sort through the pile of trace rifles after some Rushdown or Supremacy games?

God Rolls for the Keraunios trace rifle

The Keraunios has some pretty solid Perk options across the board, with several viable options to run the weapon, depending on what Guardians want it to do. Though there are a few notable rolls to hunt down, players may notice that the trace rifle leans more towards the side of PvE content. Plenty of other great trace rifles are out there for PvP, including the recent Warlord's Spear from Iron Banner.

Full Bore or Hamer-Forged Rifling Tactical Battery Overflow Jolting Feedback Backup Mag

The roll I imagine most Guardians will be hunting is for Overflow and Jolting Feedback. Jolting Feedback has been a favorite this Episode, causing the Arc Jolt effect with sustained damage. Overflow is a natural pairing, doubling magazine size when players collect Special or Heavy ammo. With that in mind, we'll want to prioritize magazine size and our potential to land hits. Backup Mag allows using a Magazine Mod that doesn't exclusively focus on adding ammo.

If you want something to do lots of area damage...

Barrel Mod: Magazine Mod: Perk 1: Perk 2: Weapon Mod:
Full Bore or Extended Barrel Ionized Battery Overflow Detonator Beam Freehand Grip

If you want something that can take out groups of enemies at a time, look for the Detonator Beam Perk. It causes explosions at targets after they've suffered sustained damage from the weapon. And what better Perk to help support sustained Damage than the magazine increasing Overflow. In this case, we'll want Freehand Grip to make the weapon easier to use without aiming down the sights, so Ionized Battery helps get our magazine back up to max.

If you want something for PvP...

Barrel Mod: Magazine Mod: Perk 1: Perk 2: Weapon Mod:
Smallbore or Hamer-Forged Rifling Projection Fuse Recycled Energy or Dynamic Sway Reduction Closing Time Your Choice

If Guardians missed their chance to grab a Warlord's Spear the last time Iron Banner was around, Keraunios can do in a pinch. It's not as tailor-made for PvP as Saladin's offering, so it might take a little more hunting before you're lucky enough to get the few Crucible-minded perks to appear. Depending on whether you trust your lethality and want some ability regain or some improved sustained fire, Recycled Energy or Dynamic Sway Reduction do well in the first Perk slot. For the second, there are not many options, so Closing Time will often be the best choice. Similarly, players can alter their Weapon Mod based on the Barrel and Magazine Mods they get.

If you want something unique...

Barrel Mod: Magazine Mod: Perk 1: Perk 2: Weapon Mod:
Smallbore or Hamer-Forged Rifling Ionized Battery Recycled Energy Rolling Storm Tactical

One roll I'll be keeping an eye out for is Recycled Energy and Rolling Storm. While it's not particularly powerful on its own, this Perk combination has some serious potential. Rolling Storm is new for this Episode, generating Bolt Charge on final blows. It's great for Arc players, but it could be even more useful to Guardians using another Subclass that wants in on the electrifying action. Recycled Energy restores energy to the lowest ability when reloading after a kill. That's good on its own, but coupled with the Origin Trait, Classy Contender, it takes on a new light.

Classy Contender restores Class ability energy whenever you defeat an enemy with that weapon. If Guardians are frequently getting Class ability energy, it's unlikely that Recycled Energy gain will go to your Class ability, which means it'll become either grenade or melee energy. That is to say, running Keraunios with Recycled Energy (and getting kills) should restore a ton of ability energy across the board.

Especially after Episode: Heresy, once the current Artifact Perks have gone away, and it's harder to trigger Bolt Charge, this Perk combo could offer some wild builds with the right setup.

how to get and use the rune carver in rune slayer

If you're playing Rune Slayer and want to power up your gear, the Rune Carver is a game-changer. This special tool lets you add rune sockets to your equipment, which means extra stat boosts and better performance in battle. But before you start carving away, you must learn now just how to get the Rune Carver in Rune Slayer, but also how to use the Rune Carver. Let's get into the nitty-gritty.

What Is the Rune Carver in Rune Slayer?

how to get and use the rune carver in rune slayer

The Rune Carver is a rare tool that adds rune sockets to your gear. These sockets allow you to insert Runes, which give powerful bonuses like extra strength, agility, or critical hit chance.

But it's not so simple: Once you use the Rune Carver on an item, that item is locked—you can't modify it any further. No reforging, no enchanting, no additional upgrades. So, you'll want to choose carefully before using it.

How to Get the Rune Carver

You won't just find a Rune Carver lying around. You'll need to join a faction and then buy it from the faction NPC. Here's how.

Method 1: Join a Faction and Buy It

There are two factions in Rune Slayer, both of which you can reach from Lakesire, where the same cave contains pathways to both factions. You'll have the option to buy the Rune Carver from the relevant NPC in both cases:

  • Holy Knights – Take the stairs to the right after the wooden lift and talk to Holy Marshal Faelion.
  • Demon Sect – Talk to Sigurd and go to the Demon base in Balgeron and talk to the armory NPC near Malzareth, the Worldscorcher, who is the faction leader.

Once you've joined a faction, you'll get access to their store. Yay, you get your Rune Carver, problem solved! Hold on there for a minute. The Rune Carver costs a whopping 10 Gold, which is an insane price for a single-use item. Thus, you might be interested in the grindier, but cheaper way to do it.

Method 2: Grind Demon Hearts and Exchange Them

There's an NPC located deep down in Hell, called the Ancient Demon. Any mob you kill in the area has a chance to drop demon hearts.

When you farm 40-50, go to him and you'll either get a strong rune or the Rune Carver itself. Other confirmed drops include:

  • Eidolon Rune
  • Satanic Rune
  • Ancient Demon Rune
  • Nothing

Still, if you can't wait and want the grind to be a sure thing, splurge the 10g and call it a day.

How to Use the Rune Carver

So, you've got your Rune Carver—now what? Now it's time to apply it to an item. But, I repeat, don't be wasteful:

  • Equip the item you want to modify: This should be high-quality, end-game gear. Don't waste it on something you'll replace soon.
  • Use the rune carver: Open your inventory and find the Rune Carver. Right-click it and select the item you want to use.The game will ask you to confirm before making this permanent change.Say yet
  • Socket added! The Rune Carver is used up in the process, and your item now has an extra rune socket. I hope you didn't use it on a trash item, otherwise you're done for.

What to Do After Adding a Rune Socket?

Once you've added a socket, you'll need a Rune to put in it. Runes come in different rarities and offer various stat boosts, like increased damage, critical hits, or faster attack speed. Check out my guide on how to get Runes in Rune Slayer, as well as the crafting guide to the get most out of this awesome accessory.

To attach a Rune to your gear, visit the Blacksmith and ask him if he's a Runesmith. He'll confirm and it's up to you to pick the item you want to put a Rune in. Keep in mind that you can't wear the item.

Pick the rune you want and voila—you have a new Rune in your piece of gear.

How to Use the Rune Carver Properly

This is a powerful, Legendary item, and you must use it wisely. Don't make the mistakes I did when I discovered how to get the Rune Carver. In particular, make sure you. ONLY use it on end-game gear: If the item isn't Legendary (gold name, level 40+), think twice before using the Rune Carver.

Plan your runes in advance: Once you carve the socket, you can't change the item anymore. Make sure you already know what Rune you're putting in. No do-overs: The Rune Carver locks the item from any future modifications—no reforging, no enchanting and no stat adjustments.

That should be it when it comes to this grindy guide on how to get the Rune Carver in Rune Slayer. You now know how to use the Rune Carver and get a bit more out of those late-game items.  Oh, and be sure to check out my Rune Slayer beginner's guide to get the upper hand.

In short, if you're curious whether Phasmophobia will get any performance patches, reworks, or new gameplay mechanics implemented soon, you'll have your answer here. If it's not here, there's a chance we won't see it anytime soon unless it's part of the game's roadmap or included as a small addition during a major update. You won't find comprehensive, detailed breakdowns of these updates, but at least you'll know what's coming next.

What is Phasmophobia's Discord server?

If you prefer actively talking to other players in the community and asking questions, Phasmophobia's Discord server is the place to visit. At first, you'll choose the types of channels you're looking for, with options like looking for groups, bug reporting, and development progress channels available. After reading their rules, you'll officially enter the server and have free rein to chat with the community.

KCD2 Barber Update artwork

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2 has finally landed, delivering a massive overhaul packed with crucial bug fixes and the long-awaited Barber update.

When KCD2 first arrived, longtime fans had wondered why the Barber feature was left out for launch. But now, that's all changed with the latest update, where Henry can get a fresh look from any barber in Zhelejov and Kuttenburg. There's even an option to give him a beard, from a goatee to a classic full beard.

I'd be curious to see what hairstyles the community comes up with through the new Steamworks modding support. There's already been a ton of creative mods floating around, and with the Barber Update in the mix, I'm sure we're about to get some seriously cool, fresh styles.

Besides the new hairstyles and mod support, there are many bug fixes to explore. I don't even know where to start, considering that patch notes are around 34 pages. But let's kick things off with the overall performance and stability upgrades. We're talking smoother frame rates and some much-needed fixes to Kuttenburg's occasionally glitchy marketplaces—things are about to get a lot more polished.

There are also platform-exclusive improvements for PlayStation 5, PC, Steam Deck, and Xbox Series X|S users. While the Steam Deck got a fix for its button prompts, the Xbox Series S will notice clearer visuals for in-game inventory icons.

Out of all the bug fixes, the one I'm most excited about has to be the feature that disables the tutorial while riding the horse. This is the prompt that always tells you not to 'hold W' while traveling. It got a tad annoying with its frequent appearance, so I'm happy to finally see it gone.

Given that the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2 is pretty hefty on bug fixes, you can bet that the new update will be significant. Some players have noted that it is about 55 GB to download, so you may need to check your storage space. However, it should be noted that the patch may take a while to appear, as some users have indicated that they have not seen it yet (myself included). Just give it some time, and it should eventually show up in your gaming queue.

An image of main characters in GTA 6.

Rockstar's launch of their official Discord server went smoothly, but they probably didn't expect the platform itself to take a jab at them over GTA 6's release.

On March 12, Rockstar announced their official Discord server, which includes a dedicated GTA 6 channel where players can discuss the game. This server is now a central hub for Rockstar to connect with its community, alongside its usual platforms like Twitter and its official website.

https://twitter.com/RockstarGames/status/1899883090010366051

While Discord is surely happy to see Rockstar's server explode past 300,000 members in under 24 hours, they couldn't resist making a joke at the company's expense. In a post, Discord wrote, "We got an official Rockstar server before GTA 6."

This is a nod to the long-running "We got [thing] before GTA 6" meme, where people list all kinds of things that have happened between GTA 5's release and the yet-to-arrive GTA 6, since we only know the game will release in Fall 2025.

Whether it's unexpected product launches, cultural events, or even the latest rumors—like GTA 6 potentially costing $100 or retailers offering preorders at $112—fans constantly joke about how seemingly everything gets revealed or released before GTA 6.

Of course, Discord wasn't making a serious dig at Rockstar. It was just their usual playful social media style, engaging with the gaming community in a way that resonates—just like when John Cena recently posted GTA 6's artwork on Instagram, fueling even more speculation.

Rockstar's official Discord server is naturally fueling GTA 6 hype

The launch of Rockstar's Discord server has led many players on Twitter to believe that new GTA 6 news could be coming soon. Given that we're now over 15 months out from the game's reveal with no major updates, the timing certainly raises eyebrows. Some fans are convinced that the GTA 6 Trailer 2 or preorder news might drop soon.

Still, it's important to stay realistic. While fake screenshots have been circulating on Twitter claiming that Rockstar has posted on Discord about a second trailer release date, there's no official word from the company on Discord or anywhere else.

For now, Rockstar's new Discord server is simply a gathering place for their gaming community—though fans are hopeful that it could also become the go-to spot for official GTA 6 updates in the future.
