attack on school castes the last attack

The official X (formerly known as Twitter) account for the Attack on Titan anime teased a screenshot of Attack on School Castes, which is the post-credits scene for The Last Attack. It shows Eren eating popcorn while sitting between geeky Armin and goth girl Mikasa.

Attack on School Castes appeared in volumes 21 to 34, depicting a modern version of the Attack on Titan characters. Everyone lives in a normal high school and it's a slice of life comedy, in contrast to the much darker main story. Despite the fact that this is basically a canon modern AU, there are quite a few nods to the main series's quirks and storylines. The post-credits scene for the movie will use the final chapter from Volume 34.

Attack on Titan: The Last Attack is a compilation film of parts 3 and 4 of Attack on Titan: The Final Season. In an interview with Crunchyroll, series director Yuichiro Hayashi said that this is actually the optimal format to watch the finale of the series due to how he originally storyboarded The Final Chapters specials. The movie started airing in Japan on November 8, 2024.

You can watch the Attack on Titan anime on streaming services like Crunchyroll.

Is the Order a Rabbit Manga Is Such a Cute Manga

There are so many manga that feel designed just to people looking for something cute to read, and Is the Order a Rabbit may just be the epitome of cute overload. The slice of life series is incredibly adorable and often silly. The result is something that's easy to enjoy, both thanks to its cute character designs and light storylines. Especially since the first volume wastes no time in getting to examples of the heroines' daily lives.

Editor's Note: There are no spoilers for the Is the Order a Rabbit manga below.

The setup for Is the Order a Rabbit is pretty simple. Cocoa is a young woman who moves to a new town to attend high school, and her home stay and job while she's there is at the Rabbit House cafe owned by Chino and her family. There the two also work alongside Rize, and the mascot is an angora rabbit named Tippy with Chino's grandfather's spirit in it. Cocoa also is friends with her classmate Chiya, who works at the rival Amausa-an cafe. We also eventually meet Rize's classmate and friend, Syaro.

But the story isn't really important. In fact, the first volume of the Is the Order a Rabbit manga quickly breezes through Cocoa's arrival in town and introductions to get to what's important: being cute. That is, highlighting each character's unique personality traits and showing how they play off of each other in part. For example, we learn Cocoa is something of a math genius and great baker, but she's not super aware of at least the former talent. Rize's artistic abilities and more girly nature contrast with her militaristic approach and tough side. Though she's the youngest, Chino often seems mature. However, we see her softer side when she meets Amausa-an mascot Anko.

The rest of the volume also quickly gets into opportunities for Koi to make sure everyone looks adorable. As I read, I almost wondered if characters attended different schools just so they could have more fashionable uniforms appear. Chiya presents an opportunity to wear more formal kimono. While it's a four-koma series, there are splash panels ahead of new storylines and sections that feature the cast in usually precious costumes.

The only thing that really felt jarring would be the sudden insertion of certain types of fanservice. Given the characters are all in high school and Koi's art direction feels designed to make everyone look as cute and young as possible, it felt incredibly out of place. Especially when compared to the rest of the storylines and characterizations present. Fortunately, it isn't terribly frequent or graphic, but I was a bit surprised to see it both times it came up in the first volume given the tone otherwise.

Is the Order a Rabbit is a manga as light and cute as the mascot character Tippy. It's a series about enjoying the developing relationships between the high school girls working at cafes, and the silliness that comes from enthusiastic lead heroine Cocoa. It's all quite lighthearted and heartwarming, which is a comfort during more serious times.

The first volume of the Is the Order a Rabbit manga is available now, and Yen Press will release volume 2 on February 18, 2025. The anime adaptation is streaming on Crunchyroll. A game based on it appeared on the Vita in Japan.

Dynasty Warriors Origins overall character roster includes Zhuge Liang and Gan Ning

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have revealed the full character roster for Dynasty Warriors Origins. The new game will feature half of the 94-character roster that was available in the 2018 entry Dynasty Warriors 9.

Tomohiko Sho announced via the series' official X account that a total of 47 "Musou Officers" (unique combatant characters) will appear in Origins. While there are 16 returning characters—including 9 playable companions—shown on the game's official website, the producer opted to reveal the remaining 31 combatants via the X account. The characters appeared on a daily basis, starting with an older version of Gan Ning on October 10, 2024. The reveals concluded with a younger version of Zhuge Liang on November 9, 2024.

In addition, while some of the characters shown during the Tokyo Game Show 2024 in September had different Japanese voice actors, most of those revealed on X retain their original voice actors. Ling Tong in particular will have posthumous voiceover work by Taiki Matsuno, who had completed providing all necessary voiced lines before his death in late June 2024. Meanwhile, Hirohiko Kakegawa will not reprise his roles in the new entry, as Zhang Fei and Taishi Ci are being newly voiced by Kohei Fukuhara and Joichiro Ohtsuki, respectively.

The complete list of Dynasty Warriors Origins characters, sorted by the main factions they belong to, is available right below:

  • Liu Bei's faction (eventual Shu kingdom): Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Zhou Cang, Xu Shu, Pang Tong, Zhuge Liang, and Huang Yueying
  • Cao Cao's faction (eventual Wei kingdom): Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun, Guo Jia, Zhang Liao, Yue Jin, Yu Jin, Xu Huang, Zhang He, Xiahou Yuan, Dian Wei, Xu Zhu, Xun Yu, Xun You, Jia Xu, Li Dian, and Zhenji
  • Sun Jian's faction (eventual Wu kingdom): Sun Jian, Sun Shangxiang, Zhou Yu, Huang Gai, Sun Ce, Sun Quan, Cheng Pu, Han Dang, Lu Meng, Lu Su, Zhou Tai, Ling Tong, Gan Ning, and Taishi Ci
  • Other factions: Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Hua Xiong, Lu Bu, Diaochan, Chen Gong, Yuan Shao, and Yuan Shu

Koei Tecmo will release Dynasty Warriors Origins for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC simultaneously worldwide on January 17, 2025.

final fantasy vii rebirth masterline figures

Square Enix will release three new Masterline figures for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, with more details to come in the near future. The new figures will be 1/4 scale models of Cloud, Sephiroth, and Zack.

The preview pictures show parts of the new Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Masterline figures. All of them look like they're holding up their weapons and posing. A trailer on the official Square Enix YouTube channel shows more of each, including different angles and some of the optional parts. You can watch it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_M3NEzdt-c

Each one boasts the high level of detail that Masterline figures have. While Zack and Cloud have different poses and weapons, Sephiroth can look dramatically different due to the addition of his signature single wing.

There's not a lot of information right now about the figures. We don't know how much they'll cost, nor do we know when you'll be able to put in your orders for them. The NieR Automata 1/4 scale figure from 2022 cost $929, and that one had an additional Pod 042 figure to the side. Most of the Masterline figures are around that price range anyway.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is readily available on the PS5. More details on the Zack, Cloud, and Sephiroth Masterline figures will appear soon.

New 4X game Zephon is like eldritch Civilization in a cyberpunk future

I'm as excited for Civilization 7 as everyone else, but I can't help but wonder what it could be if it stepped outside the comfortable familiarity of real-world history. In Zephon, the planet as we knew it is all but dead, blasted into a nightmarish wasteland by an alien apocalypse. Rather than exploring with an intrepid gleam in your eye, this new 4X game is a desperate struggle for survival in a world where Lovecraftian horrors, unflinching automata, and ravenous beasts roam the land.

Blizzard steps in as WoW secret hunters accidentally find a key clue too quickly

As the mysterious World of Warcraft Guest Relations event rolls on, Blizzard steps in to help some WoW secret hunters that accidentally stumbled into a clue earlier than expected. Thinking about the fact that WoW is 20 years old has me a little weak in the knees, but The War Within has restored its reputation to stand alongside FF14 as the reigning MMORPG champions even among challenges from the likes of Throne and Liberty, or the upcoming Ashes of Creation. A particular puzzle in the WoW 20th anniversary celebrations, however, has players stumped for now.

Arcane Season 2 is somehow already better than the first

It's been three years since we saw Jinx's Super Mega Death Rocket hurtle towards Piltover's council chambers, where Jayce, Mel, and their peers had gathered to initiate peace with the blossoming Republic of Zaun. It's been three years since we watched Caitlyn and Vi struggle to come to terms with their affection for one another despite their societal differences, and Vi's persistent hope that, somehow, Powder could be redeemed. And, of course, it's been three years since Jinx murdered Silco in a fit of rage, destabilizing the Undercity and, by proxy, the entire Arcane universe. We've all been waiting to see what comes next, but, for me, there's been some serious trepidation: how can Riot and Fortiche make a second - and final - season that rivals the first? I've been concerned, I won't lie, especially in the wake of such a turbulent year for League of Legends and Riot as a whole. Thankfully, after watching the first six episodes, my concerns have been abated: Arcane Season 2 may just outdo its predecessor.

Please note that there are major plot spoilers from here on in: read at your own risk.
