Is Battlenet down? If you're settling in to play a few rounds of Hearthstone, but are unable to launch the game, or even the client, there's a decent chance that Battlenet itself is experiencing an issue. With the majority of games being 'always online' these days, we are at the mercy of the game client, and if they're having issues, we are too.

It doesn't matter whether you want to hunt for loot in a Diablo 4 dungeon, or you want to group up with your friends and take down an entire Warzone 2 server, if Bnet is down, you're out of luck. Turns out that our greatest foe was technical issues all along. If you can gain access to Battlenet, but things are moving very slowly, it's worth checking out how to speed up your Battlenet downloads, so you can get back into the action as quickly as possible.

December 1, 2023 Pet Simulator 99 is here and we're on the hunt for any PS99 codes we can get.

What are the new Pet Simulator 99 codes? If you're extremely lucky (and timely), getting a bunch of free gems in Big Games' latest pet collecting game can be as easy as typing a few letters into a box. As time goes on, though, we expect PS99 codes to become increasingly rare, perhaps even being tied solely to physical merch like plushies, lucky bags, and playsets. We've seen it happen before.

Pet Simulator 99 is the third Pet Simulator Roblox game Preston and his team have put out. Though it isn't out to replace Pet Simulator X codes directly, it will be the one getting the big updates from now on. If leaving your old collection behind doesn't sound fun to you, consider checking out Blade Ball codes or Shinobi Life 2 codes instead.

If you've ever played against Zed in League of Legends, you'll know just how painfully annoying the champion can be - especially at lower ELO. While the good Zed players are good, though, the bad ones are bad; that 0/10 Yasuo power spike doesn't seem to quite hit right for weaker Zed players. Having the opportunity to use the Corsair K65 Pro Mini has come close to a life-altering event. Before getting my fingertips on the keys, I was used to clunky-sounding 'gaming' keyboards, that would strain my eyes with their static and overtly bright RGB lighting.

With the surplus of customizable lighting effects, resonating key clicks, and compact shape, the Corsair K65 Pro Mini, has changed how I look at 65% keyboards. If not for a few nitpicks, it would earn its spot as the single mini gaming keyboard I couldn't see my PC gaming setup without.

The Corsair back catalog isn't shy of mini form factor gaming keyboards, nor is the Corsair K65 Pro Mini the only one we've gotten our hands on. However, it remains another fine example of why Corsair is synonymous with creating some of the best PC gaming peripherals available today.

Even if you typically prefer having a full set of keys at your disposal, getting well-acquainted with the gratifying clicks of the optical-mechanical switches, and the newly acquired abundance of space on your desk, is likely to enlighten you about the ways of the 65% keyboard, just as the Corsair K65 Pro Mini has done for me.

When you think of the games that define the PC's history, these are the hits that instantly spring to mind, the epochal launches that cemented our platform as the home of pioneering creativity. SaGa Emerald Beyond Details Coming in SaGa Glimmerfest 2023

Square Enix announced that there will be a SaGa Glimmerfest 2023 showcase that discusses SaGa Emerald Beyond. It will air on December 15, 2023 at 6am PT/9am ET/3pm CET on YouTube and Twitch

There are two games that will be the focus for this presentation. The one star of the showcase is SaGa Emerald Beyond. The other is Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe, the ongoing mobile game available worldwide. There will be additional updates on both. These will come from three members of the staff working on the series. The SaGa Series Producer Masanori Ichikawa, the SaGa Series Director Akitoshi Kawazu, and Localization Director Neil Broadley are all confirmed to appear to discuss the game at the event. People can watch live or watch it after the fact on YouTube.

Square Enix first filed trademarks for the new SaGa game back in October 2022 before actually announcing it in a September 2023 Nintendo Direct. It will, as usual, feature an array of characters following different paths as the leads, with players getting to visit different worlds with them to better understand them and their stories.

SaGa Emerald Beyond is in development and will head to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices sometime in 2024. Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe is available for mobile devices. Both SaGa Emerald Beyond and Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe will star in the Glimmerfest 2023 showcase on December 15, 2023.

World of Warcraft Season of Discovery

Blizzard Entertainment announced the Season of Discovery for World of Warcraft Classic at BlizzCon 2023. However, once the update went live on November 30, 2023, the servers struggled to keep up as players rushed to create their characters on servers and dive into a new way to enjoy their favorite online game.

It isn't the most populated I've seen the game — I play Classic Hardcore which has seen a massive uptick in activity — but it's a close second. To be fair, I didn't roll a character on Crusader Strike, the server some of World of Warcraft's most popular streamers and content creators have chosen to level on. Instead, I opted to play on Lava Lash with a handful of friends. I've found role-playing servers in World of Warcraft to have some of the most relaxed and active players, so we all decided that this is where we wanted to play.

And while it was really crowded for those first few hours, with many of us partying up with strangers to kill specific amounts of zombies or obtain bat carcasses, it wasn't the worst experience. Instead, it had that sense of community I always feel is missing from many modern MMORPGs where players band together and create these unspoken rules to help one another progress. For example, standing in line to turn in a quest that impacts an NPC.

World of Warcraft Season of Discovery
Screenshot via Siliconera

And while Season of Discovery is a crystallization of this experience, it's the Rune system that adds a level of variety and depth that further enhances the Classic experience. Granted, I've only been playing about six or so hours, but allowing me to slot skills into my gear (like Path of Exile) to access a wider range of abilities is really cool. It makes playing classes like Mage, Shaman, or Warlock unconventional in a way.

For example, one of the members of my group is going to be a Tank Warlock, which will definitely prove interesting. I'm not sure what I plan to do with my Undead Mage, whom I've named Branthony, but I'm having a lot of fun with the Runes I've acquired. These being Ice Lance and Living Flame. But with the changes to Lone Wolf and Sniper Training for Hunters, I'm contemplating rolling an Alliance player or a Horde Troll just to see how powerful a Marksman Hunter is in the Season of Discovery.

Runes are also acquired at random for the most part. Killing enemies dropped scrolls for me to obtain Living Flame, which was really neat. It makes questing and farming for experience exciting since you never know when one of these scrolls will drop. I even got a scroll that I couldn't read that was in what I assume is "Common" — my Undead only speaks Orcish and Gutterspeak — that turned into something else when I deciphered it. It's this sense of mystery that keeps the game fresh. And I like it a lot. Especially since I've dedicated a fair amount of time to Classic Hardcore and have more or less gotten into the swing of things.

Screenshot by Siliconera

I'll probably keep playing the Season of Discovery as I play more World of Warcraft. It adds something interesting to the already solid foundation World of Warcraft has. Yeah, it's old and kind of clunky in Classic, but there's a charm to it there that I love and have missed in modern MMORPGs.

Even if everything gets discovered and an onslaught of guide coverage details how to obtain every single Rune in the early phase of the Season, I think Season of Discovery will manage to keep my attention. Especially since level caps will be raised periodically. So I'm excited to see what's to come and what these Runes will mean for end-game content and raids.

World of Warcraft is available on PC.

Elden Ring DLC Interview Mentions New Characters Like Bloodborne

During the PlayStation Partner Awards 2023 Japan Asia, FromSoftware Producer Yasuhiro Kitao was asked about development progress for the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. Kitao said that they will talk more about the Elden Ring DLC in the future, but gave a small glimpse to what players can expect to see and compared it to Bloodborne. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Kitao said that the Elden Ring DLC will have new battles and characters and compared it to the Bloodborne DLC and other FromSoftware titles. The producer also confirmed that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is still some ways off, but that the developers are making good progress.

Review: Assassin's Creed Nexus VR Could Be a Quest Staple

While each Assassin's Creed entry may vary in terms of performance, quality, and appeal, you tend to know what you're getting into and the sort of experience to expect. With Assassin's Creed Nexus VR, we get the staple gameplay of Assassins versus Templars in historical settings, but executed in such a way that it's accessible, offers an array of scenarios, and is more comfortable than I expected.

Assassin's Creed Nexus VR begins with players taking on the role of a hacker who works alongside the modern day Brotherhood of Assassins. They've been contacted by Abstergo, the Templar agency, to enter the Animus to explore past scenarios to gain data from artifacts found in scenarios starring Ezio Auditore from Assassin's Creed II in Italy during the renaissance, Kassandra from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey in Greece around the Peloponnesian War. and Connor from Assassin's Creed III in America during the revolution. Each one has their own brief storyline and objectives, which all feel like they could have easily fit into their original games as part of the campaign.

Image via Ubisoft

It's an ingenious setup. Never played Assassin's Creed before? Your character is new to the whole conflict as this entry begins, you're given a general idea of what's going on, and you get to enjoy the experience of exploring, being stealthy, running and parkouring around, and fighting foes from a first-person perspective. Already a fan or familiar with the series? You're getting to step into the shoes of three of the most well-known and, in some cases, appreciated characters. I sort of felt like the Ezio portion was handled best and felt like the most traditional of the experiences, with Kassandra's being the more combat-heavy one. But they're all well executed.

I honestly believe part of why Assassin's Creed Nexus VR works so well and is so fun to play is the original series' gameplay lends itself well to that sort of experience. When I was stealthily sneaking around, investigating, and ambushing enemies, it felt fantastic. The motion controls that were context-sensitive felt intuitive, and I so appreciated when there were also optional button-based controls for if I needed to sit down during a long session. Combat works well when it happens. Plus any parkour-moments really focus on delivering the sort of "experience" that allows you to do something you normally never could in VR in an extraordinary way. The environmental and character direction also helped minimize any uncanny valley moments too.

Though I was impressed by how Assassin's Creed Nexus VR worked, I will admit that initially it can be a lot to deal with. During my first session, I could only play for about a half an hour, I felt a little queasy, and I found myself sweating due to the VR experience. It is a game with the potential to make you motion sick. However, I didn't experience this in future sessions because of the accessibility options built into it. Ubisoft created it in such a way that you have certain defaults you can go with, showing your degree of comfort with VR experiences, and changing the movement options and other elements as a result. The nature of the game does mean I still only always play on "Most Comfortable," which is the most accommodating, but it is great to see the effort made. Comfortable, Moderate, and Immersive are also preset options. However, you can also go with custom settings that include options that account for things like fear of heights, turning adjustments, and movement alongside accessibility controls you can turn on.

I was also playing Assassin's Creed Nexus VR on the Quest 3, which felt like the optimal experience in yet another way. The game looked absolutely gorgeous. While I'm a new headset owner, previously piggybacking on friend and family members' PlayStation VRs or HTC Vives, this is the first one I've owned and the improved visuals and controllers felt like they made a huge difference. The weight and design of the headset meant I was playing for longer sessions once I got comfortable, and the execution ensured Ubisoft's game was at its best.

Image via Ubisoft

I feel like Assassin's Creed Nexus VR is one of the essential Meta Quest 3 apps now. It's a real showcase of what the headset is capable of, and the array of accessibility options makes me feel like this is the action game that could maybe be the one anyone, even those who previously had issues with motion sickness, could easily play. The premise also makes it incredibly accessible, since you can go in with any level of familiarity with the series. It feels like a solid staple for the standalone VR headset.

FFXVI Arcade Mode Update

Square Enix released a notice that a Final Fantasy XVI arcade mode update will appear and change the way scores will be counted. The update is scheduled to arrive fon December 8, 2023, after which the old leaderboard will unavailable.

The arcade mode in FFXVI allows players who wish to engage more with its combat system to revisit certain dungeons and fights at a fixed level. Upon completion, players earn a score based on their performance, including combo length and extra challenges completed. That can then be uploaded to an online scoreboard. After this update, however, the method for calculating these scores will change. A new leaderboard will be used to record scores under the new system. The notice does not elaborate on what exactly the changes to scoring will be, so players will have to experiment to find the best ways to rack up their scores once the update is out.

You can read the full notice in the tweet below.

https://twitter.com/finalfantasyxvi/status/1730445520588636667

FFXVI won big at the Playstation Partner Awards for Japan and Asia in 2023, netting both the User's Choice and Grand Award based on user votes and sales performance respectively. Voice actor Yuuya Uchida, who voices Clive in the Japanese version of the game, also released a tweet possibly hinting at an announcement date for the game's upcoming DLC.

Final Fantasy XVI is available now on the Playstation 5, with the update to Arcade Mode scoring arriving on December 8, 2023. A PC port is also currently in development.

final fantasy tactics remaster

On Twitter, Yasumi Matsuno stated that there no plans at the moment to remaster Final Fantasy Tactics. He added that if fans have a request for a specific game or remaster, they'd have to directly contact Square Enix instead of the developers.

The exchange took place on November 28, 2023, when a user made some quality-of-life requests for a possible Final Fantasy Tactics remaster. However, Matsuno replied that there are no plans at Square Enix to remaster that game. Matsuno added that it's up to the user (as well as other users who may have seen the exchange) whether they believe Matsuno or not. It should be noted that in February 2023, some fans thought that there would be a remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics on the way due to an interview about Theatrhythm Final Bar Line.

https://twitter.com/YasumiMatsuno/status/1729771931522470343?s=20

Yasumi Matsuno is a video game designer and writer who worked at Square Enix since when it was only known as Square. He worked at Level-5 after leaving Square Enix and founded Algebra Factory in 2016, years after leaving Level-5. Some of the games that Matsuno worked on over the course of his career include the Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers "Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr" scenario, Final Fantasy XII, and Tactics Ogre.

Final Fantasy Tactics originally came out in 1997 for the PlayStation, and the English version came out in 1998. So far, it seems Square Enix does not plan on remastering it.

honkai star rail argenti

Ahead of his playable debut in Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoVerse uploaded a trailer for Argenti. As a reminder, he will appear as a new five-star from December 6, 2023.

You can watch the Argenti trailer, called "Chivalric Romances," for Honkai: Star Rail here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhqU5X_sMPA

It is also available in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

While similar to Kafka's trailer in that it's very theatrical, Argenti's has a more humorous vibe. It ends with mock credits, with Pom-Pom acting in place of the Omen of Evil and March serving as the straight man to Argenti's funny man.

As for his personality, Argenti is incredibly devoted to Idrila, who was once the Aeon of Beauty, and is on the search for them. In the lore of Honkai: Star Rail, Idrila was the Aeon that the Knights of Beauty worshiped. It's unclear if Argenti is an accurate representation of the Knights of Beauty, but he certainly is obsessed with the concept. The trailer also shows the animations for his Skill and Ultimate. As a reminder, Argenti will be a Physical Erudition character whose kit boils down to hitting the enemies really hard.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Argenti will appear in the Honkai: Star Rail banner from December 6, 2023. New character Hanya will also be on his banner, and Silver Wolf will have her first re-run at the same time

Best Sidewinder Loadout In Modern Warfare 3 (mw3) Featured IamgeBefore writing this guide little did I know that the Modern Warfare 3 community does not like this gun..at all. I've had a different experience with the Sidewinder, it's becoming one of my favorite battle rifles to use. This boils down to the loadout I have for it. To learn how to make the Sidewinder good, I got what I think is the best loadout of it in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Modern Warfare 3 (MW3): Best Sidewinder loadout I for one can't understand most of the issue with the Sidewinder. The only problem I've come up with is the recoil which can be unforvging. This boss has some repeat mechanics mixed with a few new ones that make it challenging. How to beat Hefnd's Vengence in Destiny 2 Warlord's Ruin The hardest mechanic me and my Fireteam faced in the Hefnd's Vengence encounter was the Hex of Corruption debuff.      How To Fix Error Code 1 An Unknown Error Has Occurred In Battlefield 1 Featured Image(1)I'm not sure if this is funny or interesting that Battlefield 1 which came out in 2016 is still facing some issues. While the game was hailed as one of the better entries in the long series, it's not immune to problems. One of which is called Error Code 1, and we'll show you how to fix it in Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1: How to fix " Error Code 1 an Unknown Error has Occurred" Before the debacle that was Battlefield 2042, the World War One shooter launched the series higher than Call of Duty's Infinite Warfare.      Destiny 2 Warlord's Ruin How To Beat Locus Of Wailing GriefLocus of Wailing Grief is the second boss in Destiny 2 Warlord's Ruin and it takes the mechanics in the first boss encounter and expands upon them. I'll guide you through how to beat Locus of Wailing Grief and include my pro tips. How to beat Locus of Wailing Grief in Destiny 2 Warlord's Ruin Locus of Wailing Grief is a tough boss because it's the only encounter with the Biting Cold debuff that will kill you when it reaches 10 stacks. After, I don't recommend using Well of Radiance (use this absolutely cracked PvE Solar Warlock build instead) on this boss because you'll need to move several times during the DPS phase. Here's the loop for defeating Locus of Wailing Grief: destroy the six Blighted Eyes, defeat a yellow bar mini-boss on the left or right side of the stage, destroy one or two Taken Totems while avoiding Biting Cold, wait for Imminent Wish to end and get one or two Solar Charges, dunk the Solar Charges into one...
