Genshin Impact 3.6 adds even more desert locations, according to leak

A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed that HoYoverse is planning to once again expand the Sumeru desert. So far, the anime game's desert has been mostly a source of tragedy if you've completed its longer world quests, so hopefully this new area spices things up a bit and offers new perspectives and interesting gameplay. The long jogs through the sand to get from place to place aren't as magical as they used to be.

Destiny 2 Nightfall weapons – what is the Nightfall weapon this week?

Want to know what this week's Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon is? Each week you've got a chance at a different weapon for completing Nightfall Strikes, and ever since Season of the Lost, fan-favourite legacy weapons from the original Destiny has been added to the rotation. New seasons often introduce new weapons into the rotation, so it's more important than ever to know in advance the Nightfall weapon schedule.

Nightfall: The Ordeal is a playlist available in the Vanguard menu, alongside the basic Strike playlist in the free PC game. Each week, a different Strike is chosen as the Nightfall, and offered in five escalating difficulties, with harder enemies, challenging modifiers, and enemy power levels cranking up. The coveted Nightfall weapons have a chance to drop from any Nightfall Strike difficulty, but it's far more likely at higher levels, which is something you'll want to maximise your chances for with the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date that just passed. Your best bet for farming each week's Nightfall weapon is to set the Strike to Master difficulty, or to Grandmaster difficulty when such strikes are available if you have a fireteam up to the task.

Wondering when the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo release date is? You're not alone. The Light Brigade has no direct relation to the British light cavalry unit made famous in the poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson (which, if you head over to the poem's Wikipedia page, you can hear Tennyson himself read out via a phonograph recording from 1890 – Cool Factz!) But there is one bit of connective tissue, namely that charging into the fray is generally a bad idea. In the case of the game, that's because The Light Brigade is VR roguelike, one that blends Souls-like dark fantasy with World War II-era weaponry, with you playing a spiritually immortal but physically fragile warrior responsible for saving the world.

A new Po-uta voicebank with the voice of Porter Robinson has been released for Vocaloid 6.

Yamaha Corporation released a new Po-uta voicebank for VOCALOID 6 in collaboration with EDM composer and producer Porter Robinson. This addition is based on Robinson's well-known high-pitched voice and includes 13 artist-approved vocal style presets. The name "Po-uta" is a play on words between Porter and the word "uta," which means song in Japanese. You can find this voicebank for $108 right now on the official site. However, in order to use it, it is necessary to have purchased the $225 VOCALOID 6 software beforehand.

As part of the release, Porter Robinson made a new demo song called "Humansongs." It is designed to show what this vocal bank is capable of doing. The song goes for a "robotic" style similar to the songs made famous by Vocaloid's own Hatsune Miku. Although, Robinson stated that the voice has options to sound more "human-like."
https://twitter.com/porterrobinson/status/1632927546806517760?s=20

Po-uta also supports multilingual functions, enabling it to work with Japanese, English, and Chinese. Additionally, it works with the Vocalo Changer function, enabling users to reproduce their own singing style using the voicebank.

Porter Robinson has long been known in the anime and video game communities. In 2016 he released "Shelter," which received an official anime music video made by A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online). More recently, in 2022 he released the single "Everything goes on" for League of Legends.

Robinson explained that he himself has been a fan of Vocaloid songs and invited people to use this voicebank in their own creations. In fact, some users have already started testing the voicebank.

The Po-uta voicebank is available to download worldwide from the official Vocaloid site for $108 plus tax. VOCALOID 6 is compatible with Windows and Mac systems.

FFXIV Ear Wiggle Emote Doesn't Make Viera Ears Wiggle

When the latest FFXIV patch dropped, it added an Ear Wiggle emote, but it seems it doesn't include a special Viera animation. When someone earns and uses /earwiggle, it will temporarily make Loporrit ears appear on their avatar's head. It does the same for Viera, who already have rabbit ears, rather than make them use their hands to make their own ears wiggle as in the official 2023 New Year's art.

Here's a video clip from Twitter user Runa, which shows a Viera using the new FFXIV Ear Wiggle emote.

The official TikTok account for the game also shared a video of characters from different races, like a Lalafell or Miqo'te, look when performing it.

In order to earn a FFXIV Ear Wiggle emote, you need to complete the Loporrit tribal main quests that start with "Must Be Dreaming(way). It is the unlock for the "Dreams Come True" one. To take part in these tribal main quests, you must have finished Endwalker and "Dream a Little Dream," as well as be at Disciple of the Hand level 80.

Bendy and the Ink Machine Characters are Becoming Nendoroids toys

Good Smile Company announced its next toys will be a Nendoroid release of Bendy and the Ink Machine characters. Bendy and Ink Bendy unpainted prototypes appeared. There's no release window yet, and other details about the release are vague.

Here's a closer look at the Nendoroid prototypes of Bendy and the Ink Machine characters. Good Smile Company referred to this as a single Nendoroid. This could mean that one of the two figures is the actual figure with additional face plates and arm parts and the other is an "accessory" included with it.

This will be one of many pieces of Bendy and the Ink Machine merchandise, as things like toys and plush are already available.

Good Smile Company announced a number of upcoming game Nendoroids lately. At WonHobby 36, it showed off prototypes and revealed upcoming projects. While many were characters from games developed in Japan, others are like Bendy and the Ink Machine and are from developers from other countries. For example, there will be Diablo 3 Demon Hunter and Overwatch 2 Kiriko Nendoroids.

The Bendy and the Ink Machine characters Nendoroid pair is in development. There's no release window for them yet. The game is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.

What to Know About Castti the Apothecary in Octopath Traveler 2

Okay, I'll admit that there's a reason Castti the apothecary is the last Octopath Traveler 2 character I wrote about. It's because she's one of my second string team members. She's not a bad ally by any means. It's just there are a number of other characters I preferred to use for support or healing. But still, she can be very useful, and here's what you need to know about her.

How Do You Recruit Castti in Octopath Traveler 2

If you didn't start with Castti in Octopath Traveler 2, you'll find her in Canalbrine.

How Does Castti Work in Octopath Traveler 2

Castti is essentially a healer and supporter. However, unlike Temenos the cleric, a lot of her non-Concoct job skills hit a single target instead of everyone. It has its uses, to be sure. She's also the only person with regen and immunity effects, which can prove very useful in specific battles. But she's essentially a different sort of healer.

Here is the full list of apothecary skills Castti can learn in Octopath Traveler 2.

  • Healing Touch: 6SP to heal or revive one ally.
  • Icicle: 7SP to deal ice magic damage to an enemy.
  • Rehabilitate: 10SP to temporarily make an ally immune to status effects.
  • Sweeping Cleave: 9SP to deal axe damage to every enemy.
  • Poison Axe: 12SP to deal axe damage to one enemy and poison them temporarily.
  • Replenish Health: 9SP to add a regen effect to one ally that heals some health after every turn temporarily.
  • Weak to Poison: 4SP to temporarily make a foe susceptible to poison.
  • Dohter's Charity: 30SP to give an ally's single-target items an AOE effect for three turns.

She also gets some really good Support Skills that are a big help for her. Vigorous Victor is pretty handy, as after learning four job skills you get this one that restores 30% of her HP and SP after each battle. It's a good way to keep her SP up, since health might not be as much of a concern. I also liked Inspiriting Break a lot. That one you get after learning six skills It means you get SP every time you break an enemy. Preventative Measures is good for general exploring too. You don't earn it until she learns seven skills, but it protects her from debuffs for the first three turns of every battle.

Also, her Latent Power limit break is quite handy in a pinch. Every Drop Counts lets her Concoct without items once. I liked to save it for stronger than usual enemy encounters or boss fights.
What to Know About Castti the Apothecary in Octopath Traveler 2

What About Castti Octopath Traveler 2 Path Actions?

Like a few Octopath Traveler 2 characters, sometimes it feels like Castti has one "optimal" path action and one that's only helpful if you're using her.

The optimal one is the nighttime Path Action Soothe. This is one of the means of knocking out an NPC. Hers relies on other items she might have on hand to knock them out. Which means if you've been stealing a lot with Throne, you probably own what you need to get things done. It's very handy, given others' actions like Throne's Ambush is level-based and Ochette's Provoke means beating an NPC in battle.

Her option that isn't as great is her daytime ability, which is Inquire. That lets you get information about people, but only if Castti's level is high enough. It's better to go with Hikari's Bribe or Osvald's Scrutinize instead.

Which Secondary Jobs are Good for Castti in Octopath Traveler 2

Honestly, the only thing I noticed that worked incredibly well for Castti is the merchant job in Octopath Traveler 2, as it really complements the apothecary role well. She shouldn't really be attacking, but if she does, it adds the bow and spear to her default axe. This pairing means she can really take advantage of additional support skills.

For example, she could use the 0SP Rest to spend a turn healing her health, SP, and status. You also can give allies BP with Donate BP for 6SP or get more cash via the 2SP Collect. Most importantly, if you decide you ever do want her to deal damage, you can use the 0SP Hired Help to pay for an NPC to come perform an action or learn the Bifelgan's Bounty Divine skill to deal damage and get money from a foe.

Octopath Traveler 2 is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. A demo is available.

New Genshin Impact Video Features Alice Introducing the Hexenzirkel Mages

From time to time, HoYoVerse will release Genshin Impact event videos on the official YouTube channel. This provides a means of commemorating them outside of the game proper. Now that the Windblume Festival is live in 3.5, there's a new one. People can now see the "The Mages' Tea Party" Genshin Impact story teaser, which is narrated by Klee's mother Alice. It introduces the Hexenzirkel, a group of notable intellectuals and mages in Teyvat.

This Genshin Impact video begins with Alice introducing the Hexenzirkel, a group of which she was a member. It also included Rhinedottir, a name those interested in Albedo will recognize, as well as Mona's mentor Barbeloth. She noted they shared tea parties to exchange knowledge and socialize. However, we only hear characters' voices. None of their faces are actually shown. This means the appearance of Klee's mother still remains a mystery.

Here's the full "The Mages' Tea Party" Genshin Impact video, featuring the characters Alice, Rhinedottir, Barbeloth, Andersdotter, and I. Ivanovna N. While Alice is the most recognizable one, given we've heard Rachel Kimsey voice her in-game and for trailers before, the others are "new." However, players familiar with Albedo's and Mona's backstories will catch Rhinedottir and Barbeloth's parts.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the current Windblume Festival is available until March 20, 2023.

Reborn as a Vending Machine Anime

A fantasy otherworld is about to get a taste of modern automated commerce. Studio Slowcurve Co unveiled the official trailer for the anime adaptation of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon. The series is an adaptation of the three-volume light novel series by author Hirukuma. The series will debut in July 2023.

The Reborn as a Vending Machine anime trailer reveals a man who dies in a vehicular accident. He collides with a vending machine that falls off the back of a truck, and careens off a cliff. He awakens in a medieval fantasy world, not as a child or superpowered version of himself, but as the vending machine he died alongside. Unlike a certain slime, he is unable to speak or move independently. He's helpless until he meets Lammis, an obscenely strong adventurer. Lammis and the people of the fantasy world benefit from the convenient cuisine produced by the mystical machine they've come to call "Boxxo" (or "Hakkon" in Japanese). Meanwhile, Boxxo gets to travel the new world strapped to Lammis' back.

fire emblem engage veronica dlc

A new trailer and character information came out on Twitter for Veronica before she appears in Fire Emblem: Engage as DLC. She is part of the Wave 3 add-ons, and she will debut as an Emblem alongside the Chrom and Robin duo on March 7, 2023. Veronica is a support-type Emblem who can improve a character's damage potential.

Veronica's Syncho Skill activates when a character is not at full health. It increases their attack by 30% based on how much health they have lost. Her Engage Weapon is the Hliðskjálf, which will prevent an enemy from counterattacking when you attack them. This makes her a useful Emblem on characters who are slow or have low defense. You can also use her Contract skill on an ally who has already moved that turn. They will be able attack again, but they cannot move.

Finally, even though Fire Emblem Engage is not a mobage, you can gacha using Veronica and her Engage Skill with the DLC. Her Summon Hero Engage Skill will randomly call upon a unit. The video shows her summoning a 5-star Marth. You can control the unit, though it is unclear if she can only call upon Emblems.

As for Veronica as a character in Fire Emblem Engage, Rina Hidaka is reprising her role in the Japanese dub of the game. Hidaka previously voiced Last Order in A Certain Magical Index and Catura in Granblue Fantasy. In her Bond conversation with Alear, she expressed her desire to "have" him. Alear has a somewhat confused reaction to that.

Fire Emblem Engage is readily available on the Nintendo Switch. Veronica is part of the Wave 3 DLC and will appear in-game for those with the Expansion Pass from March 7, 2023.

New Chainsaw Man Manga Chapter 122 Appears After Short Break

Following a brief break that started on February 21, 2023, Denji and Asa are back. Chapter 122 of the Shonen Jump manga Chainsaw Man is now available. It dropped on March 7, 2023, and the English version is available to read for free on both Manga Plus and Viz Media.

Spoilers aside, chapter 121 focused on Asa's interactions with the mysterious Hirofumi. He conveyed an important message to her. After that, we got to see Denji come to a decision again. That followed with Asa finding herself in an unexpected situation.

Chapter 122 picks up with Hirofumi again. This time, he's meeting with another character who readers have seen before at Fourth East High School. This meeting hints at a new conflict for this arc. Note that there are graphic depictions of violence and death in this chapter.

As is common for both Manga Plus and Viz Media, people can temporarily read chapter 122 of the Chainsaw Man manga. The first three chapters and three most recent ones are always free on both services. When chapter 125 drops, 122 will no longer be accessible by everyone.

The Chainsaw Man manga chapters up to 122 are available to read in English via Viz Media and Manga Plus, with Viz handling physical releases in North America. The first season of the anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
