Until today, Ubisoft had been planning on holding a "Six Major", a competitive event for Rainbow Six Siege players, in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. After a massive fan protest on social media, though, the publisher has now decided to move the tournament to another "region".
Elden Ring may look a lot like Dark Souls but, as far as we know right now, it's entirely its own thing in terms of narrative and lore. That doesn't mean, however, there aren't legitimate links between From Software's latest action RPG and previous games like Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, and even Armored Core.
Atlus' announcement on Twitter yesterday that the long-dormant Shin Megami Tensei spin-off series Soul Hackers was being revived came as quite a shock to fans. However, the surprises didn't stop there, as the trailer for the poppy, hacker-centric sequel also revealed that the game has a female protagonist, something…
The Call of Duty series, a sales juggernaut since its debut in 2003, will for the first time in decades be skipping a year in 2023, following reports that Activision has delayed next year's mainline game.
Easily one of the worst trends to hit PC gaming in the last decade has been the obsession major publishers have had with creating their own launchers and digital marketplaces, moves which have done little for the user but make botting up a game fiddlier and more tedious.
Surviving in Horizon Forbidden West, an open-world game about what happens when Elon Musk funds one too many projects, is only partially contingent on skill. But if you want to thrive in the robo-dino apocalypse, you'll need to equip yourself with the best gear around.
The next big Minecraft update is 1.19, but before we can truly start looking forward to that, there's one more minor update coming our way. We've already gotten a couple of pre-release snapshots for 1.18.2, and as usual, that means we're very close to the proper launch. In fact, the devs have already confirmed the Minecraft 1.18.2 release date.
Minecraft 1.18.2 is scheduled to launch on February 28, "if everything goes as expected", the devs say. (Meaning, if no major issues are discovered with the incoming pre-releases or release candidates.) This update is one that's focused largely on technical changes that won't impact end users very much.
If you're interested in bigger new stuff, however, the first experimental snapshot for 1.19 launched last week. That'll give you a chance to delve into the Deep Dark biome, come face-to-face with the Warden, check out some sculk blocks, and explore the Ancient City.
There will be no new Call of Duty in 2023, according to a new report. 2022's game, developed by Infinity Ward and rumoured to be Modern Warfare II, is still expected to launch this year. 2023 would be the first year since 2004 without a Call of Duty launch.
The delay is coming in response to last year's Vanguard failing to meet expectations, "leading some executives to believe that they're introducing new versions too rapidly," according to Jason Schreier at Bloomberg. Treyarch is said to be working on the now-delayed game, and will reportedly be assisting on a new free-to-play online game, separate from Warzone, to help fill the gap in 2023.
Last year, I saw a trailer for an upcoming Metroidvania called Souldiers, and I thought the combat looked so fantastic that I published a headline to that exact effect. Today, I've played a bit of Souldiers, and I'm happy to report that it feels pretty great with controller in hand, too. If you like the idea of a non-linear exploration-focused platformer with chunky melee combat, you should probably check out this Steam Next Fest demo.
With an RPG-style leveling system, Souldiers leans more 'vania than Metroid, and there's even a bit of Souls in there. (The devs say 'Soulslike' on the Steam page, I promise this isn't just me.) With the default Scout class, you've got a light attack with a horizontal slash and a heavy attack with vertical range, and enemies tend to position themselves just so that you have to be particular about which you're using.
A dodge roll, a stamina-dependent block, and a parry that you can time for big follow-up damage complete those Souls comparisons, and even in the early parts of the game the demo showcases, it all comes together quite well.
Wordle is a daily puzzle game in which you've got six guesses to identify a word. Dordle doubled it, having you guess two words on two boards at the same time. Then Quordle doubled it again, making it four.
Child's play. I'm here to talk about Octordle, in which your guesses are input into eight games of Wordle simultaneously.
Despite being a critical hit and one of our favourite games of last year, Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy hasn't met publisher Square Enix's sales expectations. Just like Marvel's Avengers before it.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker brought a close to some of the long-running MMO's story arcs, but it's far from the end for a game that proved so popular Square Enix briefly removed it from sale. In a live broadcast earlier this week, producer and director Naoki Yoshida outlined future ambitions, including making it possible to play all "main scenario dungeons of A Realm Reborn" with NPC pals instead of other players.
Yoshida also mentioned the game's first planned graphical update, and a partial roadmap of new content to come in future patches.
Destiny 2's latest expansion, The Witch Queen, is live now. It brings the arrival of Savathûn, the Hive god of cunning and lies, who has blessed her followers with the same power as Guardians.
It's also bringing queues, because it's a big new live service game.
Can't get enough of the popular "Poke-Lid" enameled manhole designs? Three more have just been unveiled in Koka City in Japan to celebrate Ninja Day, and naturally, Greninja is featured in each of these new designs. Since the Pokemon that are picked for the manhole designs represent the charm of the region in which they […]
Last week, we saw the first two episodes of "Sweet Winter with Pokemon," the series of short videos about a man who cooks Pokemon-themed food alongside his Pokemon partners. The videos are live-action and use incredibly adorable CGI for the Pokemon characters. The third and final episode of this series has just been released, and […]
Those who kept track of news surrounding the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker expansion may remember the long queue times that plagued its launch. In short, Endwalker received so many players that they inadvertently overwhelmed the game's servers, which led to Square Enix temporarily halting free trials and further sales of Final Fantasy XIV. Naturally, these server issues gradually eased up, convincing Square Enix to resume sales of the game late last month. At the time, this did not coincide with a reversal of the company's free trial suspension, but that finally changes today, according to an announcement by the official Final Fantasy XIV Twitter account. What to expect in the free trial Once new players register for the trial, they will get the opportunity to experience the entire base game as well as the Heavensward expansion without paying a cent. The content featured in these campaigns includes around 375 Main Story Quests alongside a whole host of trials, raid...

For the first time in nearly two decades, a Call of Duty game may skip a year. The annual tradition of shoehorning Captain Price in a game is set to end, according to a report by Bloomberg. Activision Blizzard will supposedly delay the Call of Duty game scheduled for 2023, as candid concerns regarding quality and oversaturation have entered talking points. The news comes shortly after the publisher officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Earlier this month, Activision confirmed the rumors in a community update. Modern Warfare 2, led by series veterans Infinity Ward, will have an all-new engine, and is being developed along with a new Warzone "from the ground-up." However, Bloomberg's report says that "a recent entry" (likely Vanguard) didn't meet Activision's expectations. Concerned that the company has been "introducing new versions too rapidly," Activision has supposedly delayed Call of Duty game to follow M...

Marvel may have a stronghold in the film industry, but this economic dominance may not hold true for the video game world. It's not like the property is failing in the hands of gamers, but publisher Square Enix certainly was expecting more out of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and its sales. The company revealed so in a press briefing where, despite strong reviews, the Guardians of the Galaxy game "undershot" expectations. In general, Square Enix's reports that its net sales are lower this fiscal year compared to the previous year which saw releases of games like Final Fantasy VII Remake and Marvel's Avengers. While Square Enix certainly didn't have a powerhouse like those two this year, the disappointing nature of the Guardians of the Galaxy release is only emphasized by the game's high scores. Superhero fatigue It appears Square Enix intends to continue supporting the game, however. The company intends to drive up sales for ...

Supermassive Games, the makers of The Dark Pictures series, has filed a new trademark for 'The Quarry.' There isn't much information to parse in the listing, however the filing did come with a logo for the project. Presumably, The Quarry could be the name for a new IP by the horror team. All we can tell at the moment is that it is a game, assuredly taking place in a quarry. VGC dug up a little more information on the project. According to the report, The Quarry is getting published by 2K and the plan is to release it sometime this year. The logo, filed alongside the EUIPO listing, doesn't match anything from The Dark Pictures Anthology. Its look resembles something done using a paintbrush, with matching blotches and drips. The Quarry likely isn't connected to Supermassive's narrative horror series. However, that's not to say it isn't possible. Following the most recent with House of Ashes, there may be at least five more chapter...

Developer Mediatonic has released the mid-season update for Season 6 of Fall Guys. Amongst other smaller changes, the big news is that Fall Guys' PC and PlayStation communities can now play together thanks to the introduction of cross-play. In the announcement blog post, the developer credits Epic Games' "swanky tech," for making this possible. Previously, cross-play was only available in Custom Shows. But as of today's update, all playlists support it. This includes all team-based game modes, like Squads Show and Squads Duos. Furthermore, the post hints that similar support may be following for both Switch and Xbox by describing this as a "first step." Fall Guys players wanting to take advantage of cross-play will have to have a linked Epic Games account. Those who haven't done this yet will be prompted to the first time they launch Fall Guys after downloading this update. Once that's done players can freely add and invit...

Twitch has a new rising star, one that's quickly surpassed the platform's highest performers like Hasanabi and xQc in some respects. Her name is Ironmouse, and she's a virtual pink-haired anime VTuber that's been doing an uncapped subathon for going on 18 days now. She has also broken a bunch of livestreaming records…
When the main story of Genshin Impact's Inazuma region concluded last September, a lot of fans (including yours truly) felt a little bit let down. The story felt incomplete, and the actions of its main villain, the goddess Raiden Ei, didn't seem very logical. Later story updates helped to clarify the historical…
The Guardians of the Galaxy have a new foe: lofty publisher expectations. The interstellar misfit band's latest outing, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, underperformed unstated sales targets, according to a recent financial filing from publisher Square Enix.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl had a ton of glitches when they came out. Some were funny, most were harmless, but a few made it extremely easy for players to clone rare and powerful Pokémon en masse. It was an absolute feeding frenzy. Now the developers behind the Gen 4 remakes are fighting back with a…
I'm a big fan of sake—so big, I even wrote a book on it! And I sure like video games. But do we really need sake for gamers? Do we? Apparently, sake bottler Hitomaku thinks so.
Blizzard has confirmed that a ban wave has gone out ahead of World of Warcraft's Eternity's End update. While account sharing was the primary target of the banning spree, some confusion has arisen as a few players have been served real-money trading ban notices "in error".
Following some confusion on Reddit and WoW's forums, A Blizzard customer support employee called Orlyia has confirmed that the ban wave went out yesterday (February 21). However, there's been a bit of a mix-up. "Unfortunately, some initially received an RMT notice in error," they say. "The second they would have received would have been the one that was applied. I do apologise for any confusion this may have caused. As others have mentioned, this action wasn't necessarily from recent activity. If you'd wish to have this action reviewed, you'll want to submit an appeal ticket."
In response to a player question about a separate ban wave about account sharing, Orlyia shares that, from their understanding, the offence was actually the main thrust of the banning spree that led to various erroneous RMT notices.
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen launches today, and that release also marks the start of Season of the Risen, the big ongoing content plan for the game's next three months. We still don't have a full roadmap for Season of the Risen, but today Bungie has provided a few more details on what to expect, including info on the new seasonal artifact, a new exotic, and the PsiOps Battlegrounds mode.
The new exotic is called Dead Messenger, and given how few details are out there on it, I'm just going to drop the full blurb from the press release here: "Investigate Psionic anti-Caiatl propaganda emanating from a bunker on Mars and unlock the Exotic grenade launcher, Dead Messenger. This wave frame breech grenade launcher generates a fan of three waves of impact and can rotate elemental damage types on reload, similar to other Exotics like Hard Light and Borealis."
You can see Dead Messenger in action in the new season trailer, and it looks pretty mighty. The artifact this season is the Synaptic Spear, which - as ever - will allow you to unlock a series of new mods.
Want to know how to complete the Halo Infinite weekly challenges? Every week you can unlock a free cosmetic for your Spartan. Once you've completed each challenge, you're given one more challenge before you can claim your weekly reward. This challenge is the same for everyone. In this guide, we'll give you tips on how to complete the Halo Infinite weekly challenges in your queue, explain what the weekly ultimate challenge is, and what the weekly ultimate challenge reward is for this week.
What are the best fighting games on PC? When the fighting game boom first took hold in the 90s, the genre was largely the domain of arcades. Since then, fighting games have mostly been on console, but now - finally - we're able to play most of the best fighting games on the planet on our home computers.
Fighting games have a reputation for being tough to learn, but with the rise of video tutorials and guides on all the basics, there's never been a better time to get into this highly competitive genre. Even if you're a long way from competing at Evo, there are plenty of ways to enjoy these titles - from online Street Fighter matches to the robust single-player content of games like Injustice and Soulcalibur.
We've focused on many of the most competitive games with the most active communities here, but you'll also find a few classics and curveballs in the mix. Get your fight stick, practice those fireballs, and get ready for the very best PC fighting games.
The Destiny 2: The Witch Queen release time is upon us, and you may already be queueing up to check out the new expansion. If you mean to take on the game's toughest content, though, you've got a deadline to keep in mind: March 5, the launch date for the next Destiny 2 raid. Today, Bungie has provided a name for that content, but sadly not much else.
The new raid for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is called Vow of the Disciple. In a press release, Bungie describes it like this: "Among the swamps of Savathûn's Throne World lies a sunken Pyramid. Guardians will gather their fireteam and confront the ancient danger that lies within." Alas, that's basically the same blurb the devs have been providing since well before launch.
As previously announced, the new raid launches on Saturday, March 5 at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT, marking the start of the World First race, as well. We haven't got a precise announcement on the power level you'll need to reach for the raid, but we know that there's a soft cap of 1500, and a hard cap of 1550.
When it comes to discussing which company produces the best graphics card for your gaming PC, Intel probably wouldn't even cross your mind, but that could all change in 2022. The company is set to take on both AMD and Nvidia this year, with its first generation Arc Alchemist GPUs.
Intel has managed to keep its Alchemist cards mostly under wraps, but this hasn't stopped benchmarks and spec sheets leaking ahead of the official launch date. First revealed in August, team blue was expected to pull back the curtain on its Xe-HPG based graphics cards during CES 2022, but unfortunately didn't share even a crumb of new details.
Alchemist GPUs face stiff competition from the likes of Nvidia's RTX 3000 and AMD's RX 6000 cards, but the rumoured 2022 launches of RTX 4000 and RDNA 3 loom large on the horizon. Regardless of how they end up performing, XeSS should help spice up proceedings against competing upscaling technologies like Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR.
The Bethesda launcher is going bye-bye later this year. The developer-publisher, which is behind greats such as The Elder Scrolls series, Fallout 4, and the upcoming space epic Starfield, is shuttering its own platform and migrating its games over to Steam.
"We encourage our Bethesda.net Launcher community to continue their experience on Steam," Bethesda explains in a blog post. "In early April, you will be able to migrate your Bethesda.net library to your Steam account" - so, any game that you own on the company's launcher will be free to then pick up on Steam, with all of your purchases carrying over to their new home. So, virtual currency balances and add-ons like DLC and cosmetics will automatically make the journey over to Steam.
It's worth noting, too, that "many" game saves will also transfer over to Steam, though there'll be some that you might need to copy over manually. "At this time, we expect almost all save progress to be transferable automatically or manually with the exception of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which currently is unable to transfer," the studio explains. Fret not if the manual copying malarkey ends up applying to you, though - instructions on how to manually transfer game saves are on the way "soon".
Minecraft VR has been around for some time now, but it's currently only available via the Bedrock Edition of the game on the Microsoft Store. This has, understandably, left those with the Java Edition feeling rather left out. However, a new unofficial mod dubbed QuestCraft hopes to change that, so that those with Meta's best VR headset can finally craft their own blocky adventures in virtual reality through the power of 'QuestCraft'.
As UploadVR highlights, QuestCraft is currently in the beta stage of development, and users will likely encounter bugs or other issues while using it. Additionally, Minecraft Java Edition has a reputation for being far less optimised than its Bedrock counterpart, meaning any performance woes could be compounded due to the extra horsepower needed for VR.
The APK for the mod can be downloaded from the QuestCraft Github page, where you'll also find instructions on how to go about installing it on your Quest 2. It's worth nothing that you'll of course need to already own or buy Minecraft Java Edition, as it's required as part of the setup process.
One of Final Fantasy XIV's most-loved community memes has returned. You can now, once again, play through the entirety of the A Realm Reborn and Heavensward expansions up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime, as the free trial is back.
Director Naoki Yoshida revealed the news during a recent Live Letter from the Producer steam. Alongside assuring fans that FFXIV NFTs won't be a thing you'll have to worry about, the director also shared that the free trial would return on February 22, which is today.
Square Enix temporarily suspended FFXIV's free trial back in December following the release of the Endwalker expansion. Servers became so congested with new and returning players that the developer paused the free trial and sales to bring server queues under control. Two months later, though, things have happily subsided. The passing of time has eased server load as players have caught up with the expansion, but we've also got a new data centre for Australia and New Zealand, which has helped a bit. FFXIV is also getting more NA and EU servers this year, so things should only improve.
Sony has recently revealed the final design for its upcoming PlayStation VR2 headset and motion controllers. While it's undoubtedly shaping up to be a substantial improvement over its predecessor in terms of specs, it could also become one of the best VR headsets on PC too. Thanks to USB Type-C connectivity, Sony may be able to make the device compatible with gaming PCs, and it should.
The PlayStation VR2 promises some technical advantages over even some of the most premium VR headsets, like the Valve Index. It boasts 4K HDR OLED panels with a 2000x2040 resolution per eye, with supported refresh rates of 90/120Hz. These kinds of specs understandably require a lot of graphical horsepower, but if Sony were to make the device compatible with PCs, upscaling technologies like Radeon Super Resolution or Nvidia DLSS could help boost performance.
In addition to ditching the proprietary breakout box for a more universally supported USB Type-C connection, the PlayStation VR2 doesn't require any external tracking apparatus thanks to the inside-out tracking facilitated by cameras built into the headset itself. While this isn't quite as freeing as a wireless headset like the Oculus Quest 2, it's clean and simple enough to make the prospect of jumping into VR far less space and time consuming.
The Steam Next Fest event has kicked off, bringing with it literally hundreds of demos for some great-looking indie games on PC - so where can you go for some recommendations? We've got a Steam Next Fest demo roundup for you below featuring a number of awesome-looking games from a variety of genres.
We've already reported on a few, such as intense RTS gameCrossfire: Legion, Pikmin-like Tinykin, Terraria x Diablo in Core Keeper, the remake of classic city builder Pharaoh, and Doom meets Trackmania Warstride Challenges. However, there are just too many great-looking games to cover separately, so we've rounded up a bunch of neat demos we've spotted.
We already knew a 4K remake of classiccity-building game Pharaoh was on the way, and now you've got a chance to give it a whirl for yourself. Pharaoh: A New Era has come to Steam Next Fest, a now-live festival on Valve's storefront with hundreds of demos to try for free.
Pharaoh: A New Era overhauls the classic 1998 city builder with a complete graphical remaster in 4K HD and a modernised UI. The game features all of the original's content, including 50 missions and its Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile expansion, as well as a full map and mission editor. So, while you should find gameplay to be largely the same as you remember if you're a fan of the classic, the remaster will totally refresh the look to make it a far more modern experience. Publisher Dotemu shared a handy side-by-side comparison clip of the original and remake last year, which you can catch below to get a taste of what's in store.
Now, there's a demo to try out through the game's Steam page, ahead of the game's arrival sometime later this year. It's only a taster sample of the game, as you'd expect, featuring a tutorial with four playable missions, some "motivational tracks" to help you get used to the day-to-day of ruling your city, the game's classic "fire in the city", and, er, "ostriches to feed your inhabitants (with love)". Oh no.
If you can't wait a whole week until the launch of Far: Changing Tides, good news: it has a demo right now in the Steam Next Fest. The post-apocalyptic sailboat adventure is a good'un, our Far: Changing Tides review will tell you, but maybe you need a little more convincing? That's what demos are for.
After six years, Bethesda Bethesda today announced they're scrapping their Bethesda Launcher, closing it down in May. I imagine it's because not a single person in the world uses the client doodad by choice, only because they were railroaded by a Bethnet exclusive. Bethesda are instead re-embracing Steam, letting people who own games on the Launcher transfer them to a Steam account. You know, Steam, the platform they rejected and tried to fight in their delusions of grandeur. They could've just not, and saved everyone six years.
Three months after the new studio of former BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn announced their game Nightingale, they're being bought by Tencent. The media conglomerate are buying the studio, Inflexion Games, off tech company Improbable, who say they're too busy with the metaverse nowadays. So far, the plan remains the same: launch the multiplayer Victorian fantasy craft-o-survival game into early access later this year.
Over the weekend, I played Horizon Forbidden West on my big Sony box, a game I spent several hours in before reaching said titular region. I still appear to be untold miles away from the cool kind of jungley beachy bits from the promo screenshots. So far, though, I'm having a lot of fun, riding around on my big metal robot cow in its stunning world - a very beautiful game, is this, with lots of lens flare and dripping water and waving grass. A big and interesting world, and I am very much looking forward to playing more and reading insightful criticism and analysis of it. I would also like someone to explain the Pullcaster to me, because it's one thing in Horizon Forbidden West that, as far as I can tell, does not need to exist whatsoever.
While Elden Ring doesn't launch for another few days, the launch trailer launched today. Like many people, I'm trying to avoid the new grim adventure from the makers of Dark Souls as much as possible, because I want to go in innocent, wide-eyed, full of surprise, and wholly unwarned of the many deaths awaiting me. So I'll share the launch trailer with you but I won't watch it myself. Even the game's marketing team warn that it shows things we've not seen before.
Dark Souls begins by creating the universe. "In the Age of Ancients, the world was unformed, shrouded by fog," intones the opening cinematic. "A land of gray crags, archtrees and everlasting dragons." Those two sentences do a lot of heavy lifting. "We needed to conjure an image of the world in its previous static state, where concepts that we take for granted - the finite nature of life and all conceptual contrasts - were nonexistent," says Ryan Morris, lead translator at Frognation, the Tokyo and London-based consultancy that has handled the majority of From's Souls or Souls-type projects, from the original Demon's Souls to this year's Elden Ring. "I think of the singularity that existed before the Big Bang."
When Broken Rules announced their colourful 2D swingathon Gibbon: Beyond The Trees at the beginning of February, I was immediately on board. Finally, I could live out my dream of sliding down tree branches like Disney's Tarzan, all while playing another gorgeous adventure from the makers of Old Man's Journey and Secrets Of Raetikon. Admittedly, I was surprised when I saw it was going to be part of this week's Steam Next Fest. The developers have said upfront that the game is only around an hour long, and with this week's demo stretching to a generous 20 minutes, part of me's now quite sad that I've already seen a third of it in action.
The other part of me, however, is absolutely thrilled, and it's all down to my gibbon's sick, speed-boosting backflips.

MegaHouse announced the next anime series to join its Mega Cat Project line of figures will be Attack on Titan. However, details about the new collection are slim. The official site updated with the series' logo. However, there is no concept art to show or release window.
The Mega Cat Project line depicts famous anime characters as cats. Typically, the cat is in a sitting position, with its fur color and outfit matching the person it is based on. Each collection tends to have eight figures in it.
Plenty of other anime series are already a pawt of MegaHouse's Mega Cat Series, like Naruto and Sailor Moon. In each case, the series gets a punny name to match the collection. For example, the Naruto feline of figures is referred to as Nyaruto. The Sailor Moon one is Sailor Mewn. One Piece's collection goes by Nyan Piece Nyan.
Mega Cat Project series can consist of multiple volumes, if the cast is large enough. For example, the first "volume" of Nyaruto included staples like Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi as cats. Later volumes added different variants of the main characters, enemies like the Akatsuki members, and even baby versions of Naruto and Sasuke who are litterally kittens.
The Attack on Titan Mega Cat Project figures are in development. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 is streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation. There is also a dubbed version available.
There's a new Honkai Impact 3rdvideo out, and it goes over the history of Otto Apocalypse. The new Chronicles video shows footage of him both when he was young and in the future. It also goes over his most important relationship and the motivations behind his actions in-game.
Editor's Note: The Honkai Impact Chronicles Otto Apocalypse video contains spoilers for the game's story.
While the video begins with glimpses of Otto now, it quickly goes back to the past. It shows him as a child and establishes what his life was like. Then, we see him as a child when he first met the girl who would alter the course of his life.
From there, the Honkai Impact Chronicles installment goes over the lengths Otto repeatedly goes to for "her sake." It also shows the other major characters he meets and forms arrangements with in the pursuit of his goals.
As the video comes to a close, it is not only about Otto. It also offers overviews of what happened to Valkyries recently. Specifically, it discussed what happened with Bronya, Durandal, Fu Hua, Kiana, and Theresa.
Honkai Impact 3rd is available on PCs and mobile devices. The 5.5 update will arrive on February 24, 2022.
More Persona soundtracks are on Spotify, as Atlus released the ones for Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers. Each one offers what would be two discs worth of music taken directly from the games. The original one for Persona 5 is already present there. (Editor's Note: They are also both on YouTube Music.)
The Persona 5 Royal soundtrack is over an hour and a half long on Spotify. It consists of 30 songs. All titles are in English, though the Atlus Sound Team's name is in katakana.
Persona 5 Strikers' one is the longer of the two. It comes in at over two hours and twenty minutes on Spotify. There are 46 songs from the game total to listen to. As with the other soundtrack, all song titles are in English.
This means only one Persona 5 soundtrack isn't on Spotify. That would be Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. That is the rhythm game spin-off using music from the series. The Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 4 Dancing ones are both already available to stream on the service. You can also find the music from entries like Persona 3 and Persona 4 there too.
Persona 5 Royal is available on the PS4. Persona 5 Strikers is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC.
Square Enix continues to show various changes available in the Chrono Cross remaster, and the latest has to do with visual modes. Players will be able to determine how the RPG looks. There will be three options, ranging from the original 4:3 to ones that force it to larger aspect ratios.
First, here's a screenshot of the Chrono Cross remaster with a visual mode based on the original look.
Next, here's how the game could look with "zoom-in" options. [gallery columns="2" ids="917652,917653" link="file"]
Finally, the fourth screenshot seems to show how the stretched, "full mode" Chrono Cross remaster visual mode changes its appearance.
A lot of the recent screenshots are designed to show how the game could look by selecting different options. For example, you can determine the kinds of character models used. The example screenshots for that offered looks at different versions of Serge and Kid. There are different font options available too. The images showing them off helped show what it would look like to read its script with both of them.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreams Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 7, 2022. It also includes the Satellaview Radical Dreamers: Le Tresor Interdit game.
When January 2022 began, Sony announced the PlayStation VR 2. At the time, there were few details about the unit. It also only showed early versions of the controllers. Now a month later, Senior Vice President Hideaki Nishino took to the PlayStation Blog to reveal the full look of the PSVR 2 headset and controllers.
The PSVR 2 headset and controllers are designed to match both each other and the PS5. Specifically, here's what Nishino had to say about the designs for both.
The design of the PS VR2 headset was also inspired by the look of the PS5 family of products. When our design team created the PS5 console, they also had the next generation VR headset in mind so you'll notice some similarities in the look and feel. The PS5 console has flat edges as it is meant to be displayed on a flat surface, while there was more emphasis on adding roundness to the design of PS VR2 headset since it is meant to have constant human contact, similar to the rounded edges of the DualSense controller and Pulse 3D headset.
There were also details about how the PSVR 2 headset will work. It will connect via a single cord. There will also be an onboard motor for feedback. There will be a lens adjustment dial, so it can be customized for a person's face. It is also designed to be lighter than the original PSVR.
There's no release date for the PlayStation VR 2 yet. It is currently in development for the PlayStation 5.
More Hololive Vtubers will join the Good Smile Company Nendoroid line. However, they're very early in development. The company took to Twitter to reveal Hololive Gamers members will get their own figures. Specifically, Inugami Korone and Nekomata Okayu will each get their own Nendoroid, and there's already concept art for both of them.
Here's the reveal of the Inugami Korone and Nekomata Okayu Nendoroid concept art. Each one of them is wearing their standard, official outfit.
Good Smile Company's released quite a lot of Hololive Vtuber figures so far. There have been standard scale models, Pop Up Parade additions, Nendoroids, and figmas. Both Korone and Okayu figures even already appeared in one of these lines. Their Pop Up Parade budget figure pre-orders opened back in September 2021. Those are expected to start appearing in March 2022. However, due to worldwide shipping delays, they could end up arriving at a later date.
The next Hololive Vtuber figures in development will be the Korone and Okayu Nendoroids.
Square Enix released its 3Q FY2022/3 Financial Results Briefing. Included in it is a Q&A segment. In this portion, Square Enix revealed that its mobile game division underperformed. To combat this, the company plans to step up internal development efforts. This segment revealed that Square Enix had primarily been outsourcing the development of its mobile titles. Additionally, while the company released several new titles within its third quarter, it stated that a majority of these games did not meet initial expectations. No specific game was mentioned.
However, Square Enix will continue to release mobile games, despite the mobile division underperforming and not meeting certain expectations. It also has plans to release new titles within its fourth quarter. That said, net sales rose within its mobile division due to changes in accounting policies. The briefing also revealed that, while existing titles did not perform as expected, sales within these games rose in January 2022.
Outside of its mobile division, Square Enix said it intends to have multiple launches during its fourth quarter. The briefing listed Triangle Strategy and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Additionally, despite halting sales of Final Fantasy XIV due to server congestion, Square Enix believes that the title will generate a "certain" amount of revenue within the fourth quarter.
The latest Famitsu issue featured coverage on Puzzle & Dragons to celebrate the mobile game's 10th anniversary and the new game that recently released on Nintendo Switch. It also included an interview with the series creator Daisuke Yamamoto and Gungho's CEO Kazuki Morishita. In this interview, the company's president expressed his interest in releasing more Puzzle & Dragons games for consoles on a global scale with a higher frequency. [Thanks, Ryokutya!]
Here are some of the highlights from the Puzzle & Dragons interview with Kazuki Morishita and Daisuke Yamamoto:
Morishita: "We will continue the mobile [game's] service from here on. As a short-term objective, we want to release Puzzle & Dragons games for home consoles in an even shorter span."
Yamamoto: "The number of monsters in Puzzle & Dragons may be the largest in the world." (strained laugh)
Morishita: "We want to release a lot of new Puzzle & Dragons games on a worldwide scale. There may also be a chance that it wouldn't be a puzzle game. Right now, We're the best in action games, so it may turn out to be an action game."
Puzzle & Dragons originated as a mobile game that first released on iOS devices in Japan on February 20, 2012. Gungho later launched the title on Android devices and Kindle Fire tablets as well. The franchise's first-ever console game release was Puzzle & Dragons Z, which came out for 3DS in Japan in 2013. Gungho also worked with Nintendo to release Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition in 2015. The company then released two versions of Puzzle & Dragons X in 2016. However, there was a large gap in new console game releases until the first Switch title -- Puzzle & Dragons Gold -- appeared in 2020.
The series' latest console game, Puzzle & Dragons Nintendo Switch Edition, released in North America on February 19, 2022, and Japan on February 20, 2022. The Japanese release date coincided with the franchise's 10th anniversary.
The latest issue of Famitsu featured extensive coverage of Elden Ring to mark the game's global launch. It also included a lengthy six page interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki. The director talked about some of the decisions made in the gameplay systems during the game's development, such as item crafting and free exploration. [Thanks, Ryokutya!]
Here are some of the highlights from Famitsu's Elden Ring interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki:
"The production went in parallel with Sekiro, so there was not a lot of direct feedback from Sekiro. However, they did indeed influence each other."
"To proceed into new fields, you can do things like clearing dungeons or defeating large bosses. But those are not the entirety of the rules."
"There are various requirements. There are multiple methods that look like warps. Some of the regions will have you simply walk on the ground."
"We're emphasizing the degree of freedom in playthroughs. You can have a somewhat free order on which regions to visit."
"We are refraining a lot from making large boss destructions into unavoidable checkpoints in game progression."
"There are no features where the horse would not listen to the rider's instructions."
"If a playthrough is too short in a game with open world, there is a tendency for people to get stressed. They would think 'I ran out of items so let's head back at once,' and that would make it more uncomfortable than usual. We wanted to reduce that by implementing the Item Crafting system."
"Being able to use things other than Blessing to fill the holy grail is intended to raise the abilities for continuous battles so that a playthrough won't become too short."
"If you are hesitating in choosing your origin, you can just choose based on the background and looks that you like. We designed it so that picking specific origins would not lead to restrictions later on."
"The Wretch is the only one that's totally different. (laughs)"
"The Guidance of Blessing is the minimum level of guidance. There are also discovery and drama if you stray away from it."
"I want you to enjoy [the game] by not fearing death and including it in trials and errors."
"I'm not good at mentioning gameplay hours, but this one definitely has a larger volume than the Dark Souls series."
Elden Ring will release for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 25, 2022. Bandai Namco has shared the exact global release times for the upcoming title.

The Boeing 737 is the most popular commercial airliner in existence. Flight sims have continuously featured this airframe — including Microsoft's own offerings. But, strangely enough, the 737 was ditched as the lead airliner for the newest iteration of Microsoft Flight Simulator. In actuality, it's not present in the sim at all as a default aircraft. Instead, that space is occupied by its primary real-world competitor, the Airbus A320neo. Now, nearly two years later, Microsoft Flight Simulator will finally be graced by the presence of Boeing's star player in the form of its highest quality payware addon to date. PMDG, a staple of the flight sim addon industry, has been hard at work on its rendition of the Boeing 737 family for Microsoft Flight Simulator for quite some time now. After some development woes towards the end of the project, progress has since made rapid pace. The company recently announced a few weeks ago that it moved the project to the beta phase. Now, PMDG is ...

Microsoft's popular flying sim launched on PC with only three default airliners (and two if you don't have the Premium Deluxe edition). But since its initial launch, the sim has been garnering a growing collection of such complex airframes. Now, as reported by Just Flight, one of the most legendary designs is in the works for Microsoft Flight Simulator — the Boeing 757. Dubbed the "Flying Pencil" for its extremely narrow and slender shape, the 757 is often considered to be almost 'over-engineered.' That is, its engines are so large and powerful compared to its size and weight that it has some extremely formidable thrust and cruise capabilities, giving it an almost fighter jet-like feel for pilots. The 757 has also proven to be favorite among sim pilots, and now users of Microsoft Flight Simulator can look forward to getting to enjoy it in the next-gen sim. Spearheaded by Bluebird Simulations, the Boeing 757 is currently in early development...
