This strange little man is convinced that the moon has been stolen, and he's dead set on retrieving the broken pieces to restore it to its rightful place in the sky. What are the best Prince of Persia The Lost Crown amulets? These special items provide passive bonuses to Sargon's abilities and can range from straightforward damage boosts to unique effects like a time-freezing parry. If you're struggling against a particular boss, switching out your amulets could be the key to victory. You can upgrade your amulets at Kaheva's Forge, but given the sheer number of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown amulets and their PoP The Lost Crown Xerxes Coin upgrade costs, you might not know which to invest in. It took all of one turn before the insults started flying in our Solium Infernum multiplayer preview session this week. Specifically, they'd been launched straight into the court of League Of Geeks co-founder and CEO Trent Kusters, who was attempting to show us how the game's asynchronous multiplayer mode worked in a six-player match-up - the public playtest for which goes live today, Thursday January 11th, over on Steam. Moments earlier, he'd been walking myself, deputy editor Alice Bee and guides editor Ollie through the basics of this strategy game from hell, telling us about the importance of claiming territory, seeking out places of power to bolster our domain, and how to do battle with our hive-like legion units. But just as we were watching our individual turn orders play out, Kusters announced that Ollie had given him the digital equivalent of a demonic slap in the face, demanding he pay tribute to him, or else

To his credit, Kusters took it with good humour. "This is the beautiful thing about this game - it's petty high school politics in Hell," he said laughing before graciously deciding to accept the insult at the cost of some of his prestige - the all-important hallmark of how you're perceived within this conclave of warring demons fighting for Satan's empty throne. Personally, I think Ollie's insult would have pierced my exceedingly thin skin instantly if I'd been in the same position, and I'd probably have been torn between declaring a vendetta against Ollie's unjustified affront, or challenging him to a Praetor duel to exact some (hopefully) righteous vengeance. Alas, since we were literally only a turn into this game, none of us were in any position to make good on those options, leaving the only possible outcome as eating it and moving on. It was a smart move on Ollie's part, and one that makes me both terrified and excited to see how our own team multiplayer sessions will play out in the run-up to Solium Infernum's full release on February 14th.

As Prince Of Persia subtitles go, The Lost Crown is certainly an evocative one. It conjures up images of forgotten pasts being rediscovered, of wrongs being righted, and power being restored to its rightful balance. They're all promises that Ubisoft Montpellier capably deliver on over the course of its neatly plotted story, and often in more ways than one. But after flinging its hero warrior Sargon around the monster-filled streets of its Mount Qaf citadel for the better part of 20 hours, I'd also like to proffer the following alternatives: Pit Of A Thousand Spikes; The Eternal Death Wheels Of Spinning Blades; or maybe just simply Traps: The Game. These are perhaps more accurate descriptions of the challenges you'll face in The Lost Crown, as Mount Qaf is not a place you're allowed to tread lightly. Death stalks every corner, but that's precisely what makes this dextrously designed Metroid-like such a thrilling platformer. Put away your prejudices, because this is easily the equal of both Moon Studios' pair of Ori games, Hollow Knight and its Metroid genre namesakes.

konosuba: Love For These Clothes Of Desire Release Date Announced

PQube and Mages announced that Konosuba: Love For These Clothes Of Desire! will be releasing on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on February 8, 2024. The game was initially announced to be localized by PQube back in June 2023, but no release date for the game was revealed at the time.

Konosuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! Love for These Clothes of Desire! is a visual novel based on the popular light novel, manga, and anime series which follows Kazuma, a regular guy reincarnated and transported into another world as an adventurer. The game tells a brand new Konosuba adventure where Kazuma, Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness encounter a new curse and must find a way to break it.

A "mysterious black slab" alters the deepest desires of whoever touches it, which alters the personalities of Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness. By dressing up each character in "exciting, unexpected" outfits that bring satisfaction to the Konosuba characters, the curse can be broken. In order to craft the outfits, players must go on quests to gather resources and money. Each outfit has its own storyline, so players are encouraged to craft all of the outfits in order to experience all of the different comedic plot lines that Kazuma, Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness find themselves in.

Konosuba: Love For These Clothes Of Desire! also comes with a Special Swimsuit DLC which unlocks three new scenarios and allows players to create three special costumes: Super Megumin, Deluxe Aqua, and Extra Darkness. Depending on what materials are used to cast the special swimsuit costumes, the design of the outfit and the story will change. Players can unlock the three special costumes during Chapter 2 of Konosuba: Love For These Clothes Of Desire!

The trailer describes the Mythical Pecha Berry as an item with an "alluring aroma" that may cause "something special to happen at Peachy's in Mossui Town," teasing the Mythical Pecha Berry's role in the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero epilogue. In order for players to be able to obtain the Mythical Pecha Berry, they will need to have access to the internet to claim the mystery gift.

In order to play through the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero epilogue, players will need to have completed a "certain postgame event" in Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet, and have completed the stories of The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. This means players must have purchased The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk DLC expansion packs from the Nintendo eShop. Players will also need to purchase The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero from the Nintendo eShop. Once the conditions have been met, players will be able to start the epilogue.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available for the Nintendo Switch. The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk DLC, as well as The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero epilogue, are also available on the Nintendo Switch.

FFXIV Beastmaster and Blue Mage

The announcement of the new Beastmaster limited job for Final Fantasy XIV answers a question in an interview I had years ago with Naoki Yoshida about a tamer class he had in the works at the time, but was shelved due to issues. With the long-awaited reveal of the FFXIV Beastmaster limited job, I feel like there's a lot it could do to improve upon from Blue Mage.

Blue Mage is the first of its kind, as it is a limited job in FFXIV. It came out during the Stormblood storyline as part of Patch 4.5. Unlike other jobs, Blue Mage, and soon Beastmaster, functions a bit differently from the others. The Beastmaster will likely take after the Blue Mage in having a compendium of creatures for players to collect.

More than likely, players will roam around the world, fight against enemies, and capture or tame them in some manner. It could be similar to Island Sanctuary, using a net or just letting us befriend them. Regardless, Beastmaster players will presumably then summon these creatures to use various attacks in combat. However, I feel like there's a lot Square Enix could learn from Blue Mage and other jobs when designing it.

The FFXIV Beastmaster needs to feel better integrated than the Blue Mage

One of my largest complaints about the Blue Mage stems from how separate it feels. This is understandable since it is such a broken job, but players have to go too far out of their way to enjoy content like dungeons and trials with it. If you don't have some friends or Free Company members to play with, you're sore out of luck since you need a private party for them.

I would love to see Beastmaster have a better integration into the Duty Finder. For instance, Beastmaster may have a max level of 50 at launch. If this is the case, only let it queue up for up to level 50 content. I get if it seems too broken. In that case, have a Beastmaster or limited job-exclusive Duty Finder queue. This way, only Beastmaster and Blue Mage players do dungeons and other content together.

Unique Pokemon-like side content would be nice

The Blue Mage has the Masked Carnivale, which is essentially involves challenging boss battles with all of the spells you've learned so far. Beastmaster should have its own exclusive side content like that. I would love to see something Pokemon-like, where you take your beasts and battle them out against NPCs and perhaps other players in turn-based combat.

This would be a massive minigame-like in my mind, one that could be similar to Triple Triad. That alone might be enough reason to get people hooked on the job, if the existing premise doesn't. I could even understand if this came after Beastmaster's initial launch.

Beastmaster Is the Next FFXIV Limited Job

Beastmaster should be what the Summoner should've been in FFXIV

Perhaps the most important part about Beastmaster is the chance to make up for the controversial and, in my opinion horrible, job changes to the Summoner in recent years. Summoner doesn't feel worthy of its name anymore, and Beastmaster has the chance to change that.

I fully expect Square Enix to nail this, but the tamed beasts need to matter in combat. Personally, I would like to see them matter more than pressing a button to bring out a single Cactuar to use a skill like Thousand Needles. That would be no more than a glorified Blue Mage at that point.

Instead, I would love to see players being able to bring out one or more beasts at once and have them essentially be their semi-permanent weapons on the battlefield until they switch. This would be like how Summoner was back in the day with the Carbuncles and Egis. For now, though, we will have to wait and see. Beastmaster won't release until after Dawntrail, so it could come out anywhere between patches 7.1-7.55 or so.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in Summer 2024. Beastmaster will drop later on in the Patch 7.X series. FFXIV is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC now.

Date a Live: Ren Dystopia Game Getting a PC Port, Steam Release

Idea Factory International announced it will release the Date a Live: Ren Dystopia game outside of Japan. It will appear on the PC via Steam in 2024, with standard and deluxe editions available.

As in past games, players follow Shido Itsuka as he deals with Spirits and ensures their powers don't harm Japan and the world. Said Spirits also tend to be women who are interested in him. Which works out, as the way Shido keeps Spirits from causing damage is he dates them to seal their power. This latest entry introduces a new character named Ren and follows players as they date and deal with more Spirits.

Here's the first gallery of screenshots Idea Factory International shared with us highlighting different CGs from the story.

Should someone get the Digital Deluxe version of the game, they also get the "Natsumi Encounter" and "Origami Friendship" Japanese audio dramas with English and Traditional Chinese scripts, a 13 page art collection, the translated Ren Masques novel, and a 27-song soundtrack.

This isn't the only Date a Live game on Steam for the PC. Date a Live: Rio Reincarnation is also there. It contains both Rinne Utopia and Arusu Installand appeared on the storefront in 2019 alongside a PS4 release.

Date a Live: Ren Dystopia will come to the PC via Steam in 2024. The Date a Live anime is streaming on Crunchyroll. Yen Press handles the light novel series outside Japan.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is getting a Lunar New Year event, more story quests, and furniture customization in its new update.

The new 1.4 Hello Kitty Island Adventure update is live, and it brings with it a story update, furniture customization, and a Luck & Lanterns Lunar New Year event. Immediately after downloading the patch, players will find the Frosty Fashion Frenzy event is live.

The new 1.4 update is about both temporary and permanent additions. The two new features that will always be there involve new decorating options and Spirit of Friendship Island lore. If someone has been keeping up with the story, the main quest now has new quests to complete. Also if My Sweet Piano is at My Melody's shop and on the island, you can head to her to customize the appearance of your furnityre pieces.

As for the new Hello Kitty Island Adventure seasonal activities, Frosty Fashion Frenzy runs January 11-19, 2024 and is followed by the Luck & Lanterns Lunar New Year January 19, 2024 through March 1, 2024. The former is a daily login event with free clothing as gifts. The latter involves gathering dragon pearls around the island to exchange for Year of the Dragon cosmetics.

Here's the latest Hello Kitty Island Adventure update trailer, which goes over the Luck & Lanterns Lunar New Year event and My Sweet Piano's furniture customization service, though it doesn't show any of the new story quests.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqIel9kdZiQ&ab_channel=Sunblink

As a reminder, the previous updates that appeared in December 2023 added two more holiday events. One was the Christmas-like Give & Gather activity. That involved helping Cinnamoroll deliver gifts to other island residents. The other was a New Year's sort of Lighttime Jubilee. For that, players had to collect light bulbs from the Resort Plaza area and use them to fix displays around the island for Badtz Maru and Chococat.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available via Apple Arcade for the Mac and iOS devices. Its 1.4 update is live.

Mario vs Donkey Kong Switch Adds New Worlds

Nintendo shared a new Mario vs Donkey Kong Switch trailer that shows off its two new worlds. This video offers brief glimpse at the Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit areas, as well as other new features.

This means that there will be nine worlds in Switch version of the game. The original game only offered seven. Each of the seven in the GBA game also had a Plus variant, which will also return for this release.

Here's the full list of Mario vs Donkey Kong Switch worlds. Presumably Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit will appear before World DK, which was the final world in the original version:

  • Mario Toy Company
  • Donkey Kong Jungle
  • Fire Mountain
  • Spooky House
  • Mystic Forest
  • Twilight City
  • Merry Mini-Land
  • Slippery Summit
  • World DK

And here's the new full trailer. It begins by establishing there are over 130 levels. The new worlds appear at the 10 second mark. Merry Mini-Land comes up first. Then, there's a slightly longer look at Slippery Summit and its icy floors and falling icicles. The easier Casual mode comes up at the 20 second mark, and the new local co-op multiplayer that lets a second player control a Toad shows up after that.

Guilty Gear 25th Anniversary Blended Malt Dizzy Ver whiskey

Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery revealed a new malt whiskey drink inspired by Dizzy from the Guilty Gear series. It will start accepting orders for the Guilty Gear 25th Anniversary Blended Malt Dizzy Ver. drink on January 18, 2024. Only 1,000 bottles of this drink will be made, and each of them will have a price tag of 13,200 yen (~$90). The company will only allow a person to order up to two bottles simultaneously.

Wakatsuru will blend the Saburomaru sake with British-made malt whiskey to produce this drink. By using over 50% Saburomaru malt and resulting in a drink with 50% alcohol, it will re-enact Dizzy's character setting, as she is half-human and half-Gear. The drink will also combine the tastes of the sweet Sherry cask and the rustic peated whiskey.

This drink will appear as the second batch of a collaboration between the Wakatsuru Saburomaru Distillery and Arc System Works to celebrate the Guilty Gear series' 25th anniversary. The first batch appeared in December 2023, and it featured malt whiskey drinks modeled after Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske. All stocks for these drinks were already sold out by the time the company revealed the new whiskey.

Dizzy's Blended Malt whiskey will not be the last drink coming from this collaboration either. The official Japanese webpage includes a teaser for the third batch. It will feature a drink based on the Noukaya Oyamanishiki pure rice sake, which will be available on February 22, 2024. This drink will also be branded after a Guilty Gear series character, but the company will reveal that later in the near future.

The order period for the Guilty Gear 25th Anniversary Blended Malt Dizzy Version whiskey will open on January 18, 2024. Wakatsuru will start delivering the products in February 2024.

Falcom jdk Band Live 2024 concert in Tokyo Osaka and Nagoya

Nihon Falcom canceled the Falcom jdk Band Live 2024 concert in Tokyo, which was originally scheduled to take place on January 13, 2024. In its press release, the company cited safety concerns due to a bomb threat on the venue as the primary reason for the cancellation.

On January 6, 2024, Kichijoji Club Seata's contact center received an email containing a bomb threat. The perpetrator claimed that they would bomb the facility and harm its staff and visitors within a specified time frame that included January 13, 2024—the date when Falcom jdk Band's concert would be held.

Club Seata immediately contacted the police to report the threat. The authorities noted that it had also received the same report from many other live house clubs all around Japan. However, no bombing incidents happened in reality, so the police suggest a high probability of this being a prank or crime committed for fun.

Falcom added that 246 Livehouse Gabu, which will host the Osaka concert on January 26, 2024, also received the same threat and is temporarily shutting down its premises. However, the venue will reopen on January 22, 2024, so the concert will go as planned. The third concert in Nagoya on January 27, 2024, does not seem to be affected as its venue, ell.Fits All, did not report such a threat.

This was not the only game-related event in Japan that was canceled due to domestic terrorism threats in recent months. In December 2023, Nintendo received threats targeting the staff and audience at Splatoon Koshien 2023. The company ultimately decided to postpone the tournament and cancel the Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo event due to safety concerns.

The Falcom jdk Band Live 2024 concert in Tokyo was originally due to take place at Kichijoji Club Seata on January 13, 2024, before it was canceled. The other two concerts in Osaka at 246 Livehouse Gabu on January 26, 2024, and Nagoya at ell.Fits All on January 27, 2024, will continue as scheduled.

Palworld install size, explained According to the Palworld Steam page system requirements, the Palworld file size is around 40 GB. The storage requirement asks for at least 40 GB of available space, but my experience with storage requirements and actual install sizes tells me that Palworld will be more like 30 GB when fully downloaded. Related: Is Palworld on Xbox Game Pass? For example, Baldur's Gate 3's Steam page system requirements state that you need at least 150 GB of available space to play the game. I am up-to-date with BG3 updates and the file size is a little over 140 GB.      Destiny 2 No Land Beyond Feature ImageThe No Land Beyond is a classic Exotic from the days of the first Destiny. It was introduced through The Dark Below expansion and shook up the game by being the first Sniper Rifle to go into the primary slot. But as other classic exotics return to Destiny 2, we have to wonder if No Land Beyond will ever make a comeback. Well, let's talk about it. Will the No Land Beyond make a comeback? It's hard to see the No Land Beyond coming back to Destiny 2 without some serious changes to its design. After all, it was introduced during Destiny's formative years. Weapon slots have entirely changed since then, and Kinetic Sniper Rifles are by no means a rarity anymore. We've also got plenty of slow-firing powerhouse weapons that functionally perform the same job. So, again, it's hard to see Bungie having much reason to bring the weapon back without radically changing its purpose. But this is a gun I've wanted to see return for years. It ha...
