Destiny 2 Edge of Fate key art

To say Destiny 2 had a bad 2025 is quite the understatement, like saying Mint Retrograde and the Praxic Blade are just alright. This year was nothing short of a disaster for Bungie's flagship title, even with Renegades showing signs of a recovery.

2026 will be a decisive year for Bungie, a studio whose entire 2025 was a make-or-break moment. The developer is under new direction and Marathon is finally releasing. Just keeping Destiny 2 alive isn't the bar to aim for in 2026, especially given how much it struggled to do so with The Edge of Fate.

There's a lot I'd love to see change inside the game come 2026. But a positive future for Destiny 2 has to fix the frayed relationship between jaded players and an embattled developer—at the risk of breeding apathy and alienating even more of its fanbase.

Less dependence on the Portal

The Fireteam Ops section of the Portal interface, with the Dawning background.
It's simpler, but arguably to a fault. Screenshot by Destructoid

The Portal was The Edge of Fate's main way of engaging with the game, and Destiny 2 struggled for it. Anything that wasn't in the Portal was essentially useless for leveling up, and boosting your Power was the only way to get higher-quality gear.

The Portal can be a decent way of playing Destiny 2, but it should not be the only way to play the game. For a rich universe, pigeonholing players into a dozen activities that appear in a Netflix-esque menu is about the least interesting way to slice it.

Renegades already started correcting this by offering the Lawless Frontier, and it's certainly helped keep our adventures in the Sol System far fresher than before.

More gear, destinations, and activities—even if they're reissued

One of the areas in the Derelict Leviathan in Destiny 2.
The Derelict Leviathan was amazing, even if it was temporary. Screenshot by Destructoid

Renegades' praise highlights there is life outside the Portal, and next year is a prime opportunity to reissue loot from older raids and dungeons. Tier-compatible weapons and armor would go a long way toward replayability, especially if they're not entangled in a messy web of modifiers.

Of course, there's a lot of work involved in updating weapons' perk pools and making armor set bonuses, and it may not be viable, but it would give us a reason to redo activities like Duality.

We'd also love to see more room for exploration returning next year. New territories are always welcome, but destinations and old seasonal activities such as The Derelict Leviathan or The Nether are ripe for that kind of adventure, especially in a non-Portal format. And what is the Lawless Frontier if not a timed, Star Wars Nether?

More unlockable cosmetics

An image of a guardian with the New Malpais pulse rifle in hand.
The New Malpais ornament was a freebie for those who made it through Call To Arms. Image via Bungie

That one is, surprisingly, something Bungie has finally been doing after years of fan requests. Nonary Engrams in Rite of the Nine, the New Malpais ornament and unique helmet in Call to Arms, Iridescent Engrams, and Renegades' Dark Matter Crystals are remarkable reasons to keep logging in and playing, and we'd love to see more of them going forward.

Iridescent Engrams in particular are an easy, exciting addition due to having meaningful rewards and guaranteeing new items. It's a wonder Bright Engrams can even drop duplicates, because the only thing more riveting than a purple sparrow you'll never use is a purple sparrow you'll never use but already have.

Less greed

Concept Art for the Gladius set in Destiny 2 shows influence from Iron Banner.
The Gladius set was originally meant for Iron Banner, as evidenced by the logo on the first concept. Image by Ben Low via PC Gamer

The Eververse store has been around Destiny 2 for ages, but The Edge of Fate really made it feel like it was at the forefront. Season passes started having 110 rewards for the equivalent of 150 levels, and it's hard to forget the unforgivable Gladius set fiasco.

Bungie took a ravishing set of armor and removed it from the (free) Iron Banner PvP mode, only to sell it for premium currency as a new set, presenting a reskin of ancient armor to the mode instead. Fans would have been none the wiser about this shady practice if they hadn't uncovered (now-deleted) concept art that showed the Gladius set with the Iron Banner logo. Bungie threw a separate would-be Eververse set in the mix, but by then, the damage was clearly done.

And the greed doesn't just translate to how Bungie handles money, either, but how the studio seemed to want to squeeze every drop of playtime from its community. Bungie's easiest wins were the times when it reverted The Edge of Fate's changes, such as toning down the egregious grind, removing a reset in Renegades, and sunsetting Unstable Cores. The relationship between player and developer isn't as bad as it was months ago, but it still requires a lot of work. Reimplementing Dawning bounties and being more generous with Bright Dust caps would have been a good gesture.

Creating goodwill and actually building meaningful momentum

A screenshot of the Drifter going 'oof' in Destiny 2.
This was me every time Bungie refused to acknowledge glaring issues. Image via Bungie

We know Bungie isn't in its best state. We understand it doesn't have the same workforce it once did, and it can't deliver the same quantity or quality of content. But instead of owning it, the studio seemed intent on pretending that wasn't happening.

Its relationship with the community in The Edge of Fate felt almost antagonistic, with predictably awful changes and an inaction that couldn't have been an accident. Player counts kept dropping, feedback kept piling up, and the community perceived the studio as helpless. Bungie can't afford that perception again next year.

Community manager Dylan "Dmg_04" Gafner's infamous "we need to build momentum and maintain it" post in September became nearly a meme in the community, especially after the lukewarm Ash & Iron update the following week. Bungie hasn't really achieved it still: even with Renegades' popular acclaim, the feeling may be closer to a feeble, cautious optimism caused by a fluke rather than an actual impetus forward.

Next year, I hope to see Bungie embrace more of the community that's been with it through thick and thin. It's about removing obstacles rather than creating new reasons to play anything else. More communication also helps, especially if that comes accompanied by timely responses that take player feedback into account. Yes, fixing issues in Renegades is good, but fixing them three months earlier, when the game was hemorrhaging players, would have been even better.

Focusing on what's outside the game

Three Guardians clad in Edge of Fate armor pose for a promotional image in Destiny 2
Bungie can't afford another Edge of Fate. Image via Bungie

I could write an entire grimoire on the gameplay changes I'd love to see. I'd be happy with Exotics finally being tier five, a system that lets you choose armor sets like Festival of the Lost's masks, a tuning pass to weapons, an economy overhaul, and far more forgiving caps on Bright Dust from orders next year. But the part where Bungie really has to put in work happens before we even launch Destiny 2.

This is not the time to create any attrition or make players hesitate to open the game. It's not the moment to leave guardians staring in apathy at the title screen and wonder if it's worth jumping through all the hoops, like it was in The Edge of Fate.

Instead, it's about giving players more incentive to keep coming back because they want to, not because they feel they have to. Sure, a lot of it hinges on providing meaningful, quality content for players, but that's not all it is. Maybe that means cranking up the faucet a little and offering a lot more freebies to newcomers, lapsed players, and veterans alike. Maybe it just means not messing up in decisive moments or loosening the grip. That way, we won't have to take a loud sigh whenever someone asks if they should start playing.

Examu Fighting Game Daemon Bride Debuts Worldwide This Week

Daemon Bride, a 2009 fighting game from Examu, is going to appear everywhere as DaemonBride: Additional Gain. Team Arcana will release it on Steam on December 30, 2025. This will be an updated version with additional features like an additional character. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Some elements of Daemon Bride might feel a bit familiar, as this fighting game features a similar sort of partner system as its Examu sibling Arcana Heart. The fighters use Bride partners, which might be an angel or demon. (For example, one of the demon ones is Lucifer and one of the angel ones is Metatron.) Each character in the campaign makes a contract with one of these beings and fights around Tokyo to advance their goals and be the winner.

There are some major changes noted that are totally new for this release. One is that Team Arcana noted rollback multiplayer is present. The other is that Dies Irae Deus, who appeared as a boss in the original, is now playable. However, he's not playable in an arcade story mode, and is only usable in versus style fights. There's also an opportunity to test out characters and learn their moves via Training mode and an in-game guide.

As an example of what to expect, here's a 2011 trailer showing the original.

DaemonBride: Additional Gain will come to PCs on December 30, 2025, and the original Daemon Bride fighting game from Examu appeared in arcades in Japan.

siliconera switch 2 game of the year 2025

Console launches are exciting! There are fresh new game ideas to show off the hardware, as well as more traditional franchise cornerstones to build out the install base. Perhaps understandably, all three of our Switch 2 Game of the Year finalists are Nintendo-published. We look forward to future years including other teams as third parties have more time with dev kits!

These awards represent the consensus of the Siliconera staff. Multiplatform games are considered on the platform for which they received the most staff support. For more of the year's award selections, check out our Game of the Year 2025 archive.

Kirby Air Riders

As unlikely as it was, we got a sequel to Kirby Air Ride two decades later. And it was worth the wait! Air Riders delivers a faithful recreation of the original. Now, though, there's a lot more stuff to find and do. Mario Kart World may have been the Switch 2's launch day flagship, but it won't be the racer we'll keep playing throughout the system's life.

Donkey Kong Bananza

There hasn't been a Donkey Kong game of this scale and polish… ever? No shade to Rare or Retro, for sure. But the Super Mario Odyssey-style approach brought to Bananza makes for a game you'll keep returning to over and over. The terrain tech is a great example of what new hardware can do that isn't just resolution bumps, and just moving around in the world feels great enough that you'll seek out more things to do to justify it.

pokemon legends z-a game of the year

Winner: Pokemon Legends: Z-A

With recent entries in the Pokemon series hitting up against some technical barriers on the original Switch, Legends Z-A launching with a dedicated Switch 2 build was a big deal. It's a bonus that it's a follow-up to the most mechanically innovative entry in the franchise's history, too! Z-A tries its own ideas, including a real-time combat system that for once justifies a moveset with multiple moves of the same type. We're left wondering what the next Legends entry will try.

Final Fantasy Tactics Mini Figures Include Ramza, Delita, Alma

Square Enix and Taito announced that volume one of a Final Fantasy Tactics Miniature Figure Collection will appear and consist of Ramza Beoulve, his sister Alma Beoulve, and Delita Heiral. These will appear as prizes in Japanese arcades in early January 2026. There is no news regarding a worldwide release yet, but the retailer Aitai Kuji often sells these prize figures and ships worldwide and they can occasionally appear on Amazon

The Ramza, Delita, and Alma Final Fantasy Tactics figures are based on chibi portrayals of all three characters. They're equally small in size, as they only stand at just over three inches tall (8cm). They are static figures with no extra face plates in more relaxed stances, though Delita and Ramza are holding weapons. All three wear their outfit and armor from the official art.

Here's the first picture of how the three will look:

While these are smaller, static figures, we have seen more elaborate ones. A number of characters from the game are part of Square Enix's Bring Arts line. Both Delita and Ramza are in that collection, as is Agrias Oaks.

The Final Fantasy Tactics Miniature Collection volume one figures of Ramza, Alma, and Delita will debut in Japan in January 2026. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is available worldwide onthe Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Granblue Fantasy English PC Version Heading to Steam Worldwide

Cygames announced that it will be much easier for people outside of Japan to play Granblue Fantasy worldwide, as an English PC version will appear on Steam. This will be independent of the existing release, just as the worldwide version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby is a separate global release. So existing accounts used with the browser-based client or existing mobile versions will not be compatible when it launches on March 10, 2026. This comes after other games and media tied to the series already appeared worldwide.

While Steam PC client this will mark the official release of Granblue Fantasy outside of Japan, we've been able to play the game in English for years. Cygames just never made it officially available on any region. This meant if someone went with a browser (like via the Chrome app) or downloaded an apk, they could play. However, things like the anime adaptation and spin-off games did appear everywhere.

Since this will be a distinct global release, it is possible this Granblue Fantasy PC debut could be on an accelerated schedule like the worldwide Steam and mobile release of Umamusume: Pretty Derby. This means we won't see the November 2025 Evangelion crossover right away, and instead might see ones like the Persona 5 one before it. The game is over 11 years old now, so we'll have to wait and see to learn more about how this will roll out.

Granblue Fantasy will come to the PC via Steam outside Japan on March 10, 2026. It is already available in English via PC browsers and on mobile devices.

Review: Synth Riders Is Better in VR Than on the Switch

In VR, Synth Riders is an inventive rhythm game that gets you active and moving in a way Beat Saber sometimes can't. It even features a strong soundtrack to boot. The Switch version is entirely different. It abandons the first person perspective and motion controls in the name of a more straightforward musical experience with a synth rider hackers racing on roads and rails through a city. While the track listing is still strong, the Synth Rider Switch fiddly controls and a technical issue with the camera keep it from being a memorable and essential rhythm game.

While the concept behind Synth Riders involves riding on a board through a high-tech space, moving the rider's arms in time with the music, the Switch version of the game offers multiple modes. In the campaign, it explains that a rogue AI named Xander controls every element of the world. The hackers Dash 909, Allegra, and BPM-130 fight back by breaking into terminals and riding along with songs to wrest away control. It's more of an excuse to go through the tracks, get accustomed to the flow of things, and unlock cosmetics like clothing and hoverboards for the characters than tell an engaging story. Meanwhile, the Solo and Multiplayer modes let you go through available songs piecemeal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGHm4FqYdZU

My first experience with Synth Riders on the Switch ended up pretty disastrous. When going through the tutorial, a bug kicked in and locked the perspective into one in which the camera appeared alongside my avatar. So I couldn't any of the inputs. I had to completely exit out of the game to reset and restart to make it return to normal. While this never happened during the campaign, it did happen a few times after selecting and starting single solo songs. It didn't seem tied to specific tracks.

The Switch version of Synth Riders plays in a manner somewhat similar to the VR version of the game. You're moving the avatar's hand in time with nodes that appear on the track as they automatically move forward. The positions are ground, outstretched, up, and outstretched in the opposite direction. Some obstacles will require you to jump to go airborne, perhaps also grinding on a rail by holding an analog stick and moving along the line, then landing. There are also obstacles to dodge.

While these positions are generally fine and easy to memorize, they don't feel as precise as games like Groove Coasteror Taiko no Tatsujin. It's something about the position of the indicators, which aren't as clearly and cleanly visible as something like Hatsune Miku: Project Diva, and the use of the analog sticks for inputs near exclusively that kept me from feeling as control as I do in other games. Especially since it initially takes getting used to the hold notes and the mid-air rails, as the former can sometimes be a bit difficult to spot and the latter can move in unexpected directions.

These stages all proceed in the same way regardless of mode, though the Multiplayer approach can get a bit interesting. Competitive and cooperative options are available for up to four people. This can help with getting used to the input method. Plus, it felt more enjoyable and less typical when I played with others.

Because the Synth Riders soundtrack is honestly quite good. The base game nets someone the Synthwave Essentials, Electro Swing Essentials, and Monstercat music selections. These are the same as ones in the VR game, so they could even sound familiar. Lady Gaga, Gorillaz, Current Waves, 80s Mixtape, and Synthwave Essentials 3 DLC packs also appeared at launch, again pulling from the existing version. The Synthwave Essentials and Monstercat songs are best, I think. But there's a solid selection and the ones there suit the futuristic design.

Synth Riders is a fantastic VR game, one that I sometimes enjoy more than Beat Saber, but that same magic doesn't carry over to the Switch release. The motion controls and first-person approach in the VR version of the rhythm game make it the best way to play. Especially since I did encounter a major camera bug a few times. It just doesn't feel as extraordinary, even though the music is fine and there are quite a few modes here.

Synth Riders is available for the Switch.

Gordon and Alyx in the new Half-Life 2 Wallpaper

I'm sorry, but chances are we aren't getting Half-Life 3 anytime soon. Also, it was definitely never going to be shown at an awards show because Valve simply doesn't need that. You can, however, play a bunch of modern FPS titles that carry Half-Life's flame with great finesse.

Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2 is an amazing FPS for its campaign alone

If you know the basis of Titanfall, you'll probably think I'm trying to deceive you, as big robot action is exactly the opposite of deep and smart FPS gameplay. Well, the industry seems to have fallen to a spot where you can only have one or the other, but Titanfall 2 is a miracle in that sense. It features some of the most enthralling sci-fi action out of any media, but it also infuses it with extremely fun and well-thought-out mechanics you don't see anywhere else. You don't even see anything in this game to the point of getting tired, as Titanfall 2 is so filled to the brim with well-executed ideas that it's trying new stuff and challenging the player with wholly new mechanics in every single level.

Though its unbelievably immersive action might blind you to that fact, Titanfall 2 features one of the smartest and most brain-teasing single-player campaigns out there.

What if you want a game that's even more of a brain teaser than Half-Life 3 would be? Then The Talos Principle 2, or the original, if you still haven't played it, is the game for you. It's absolutely gorgeous, features writing on par with what you've seen in the best FPS you've ever played, and will absolutely put your grey matter to the task. Whereas players won't be doing any shooting per se, The Talos Principle games clearly have FPS in their DNA. They're made by Croteam, the studio behind the equally awesome, but admittedly less smart, Serious Sam games, and their expertise is on display here at all times.

Interestingly, Croteam only got propelled to the big leagues after Old Man Murray, the gaming website owned by future Valve writers Chet Faliszek and Erik Wolpaw wrote about how awesomely promising Serious Sam's first demo was, so I guess you can really make the case for The Talos Principle being a true Half-Life torchbearer.

Prey

I love the original Prey, the one from '06, and I wholeheartedly recommend you play it, even though it apparently already counts as "old." If you want something new, however, something great, something that wears its many Half-Life influences on its sleeve, then you can do no wrong with Prey. Do you enjoy prop hunt style games? Well, the devs behind Prey at Arkane had the incredibly risky idea of using the concept of prop hunting as a central theme, and the strangest part is that it works. Though it feels and plays nothing like its predecessor, nu-Prey is a fantastic FPS about using one's brain to navigate all sorts of lies, and, courtesy of a very original arsenal, also a very fun game at that.

Half-Life Alyx (Without VR)

This might seem obvious at first, but it is not. If it seems obvious to you, that's because you're fortunate enough to own a VR headset that allowed you to play this one upon release, and are now sad that you don't get to enjoy anything of a similar caliber. Most didn't get the chance to play Half-Life Alyx, a flawed but fascinating title, the first and only attempt at making a AAA game for VR.

It sucks that many didn't get to play it, because it does take the first steps into what might one day become Half-Life 3, because it spent too long being gatekept by expensive tech. Now, while a VR headset remains the best way to enjoy Half-Life Alyx, players can play it without a VR headset with the help of a mod, and it's great. It's not as immersive, sure, but it still has enough of that Half-Life juice to remain more immersive than most games out there, so you really shouldn't sleep on this one, especially if you want to be ready for Half-Life 3's shadow drop.

Shrooms in Schedule 1

Mushrooms have arrived in Schedule 1, and you can grow them to get a new product to sell.

Mushrooms were voted earlier by the community to be part of the next major update. Expectations were for it to arrive in November, but it has taken Tyler a little longer. This guide will update you on all the steps required to grow your own batch.

How to get Mushrooms in Schedule 1

Obtaining your first batch of Mushrooms will take some time if you're just a beginner. It's tied with a quest called 'Vibin' on the 'Cybin'. While this isn't a full-fledged mission guide, I will briefly explain what needs to be done.

Fungal Phil in Schedule 1
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Open your mobile, and you'll get a text from Fungal Phil.
  • Next, purchase Spores, grain bags, and substrate.
  • You can order these items as a dead drop.
  • Go to the Hardware Store and get a spray bottle and an AC unit.
  • Get the items you ordered as a dead drop, and then go to Oscar after sunset.
  • You'll need a Mushroom Spawner and a Mushroom Bed.

Go to a property of your choice and place the Mushroom Spawner. The Spawner has two slots where you put the Grain Bag and the Syringe. Remove the Syringe's cap and push it into the bag. Lay down the Mushroom Bed, and take the output out of the Spawner.

Take the substrate and dump it on the Mushroom Bed. Put down the Mushroom Spawn (or Shroom spawn) on the substrate and put the soil over them for the growth phase. Place the AC, and lower the room temperature.

Next, take the Water Sprayer and spray in five different spots. You're now all done, so just wait. Once the Mushrooms have grown, you have to pick them up and package them before selling.

If you want better quality Shrooms, you can add Fertilizers to the growth process. You can also use a Drying Rack to get customized quality products. That's how easy it is to unlock the Shrooms and grow them. Do note that this is only available in the beta track as of writing.

arcane odyssey class and stat build tier list and guide

All Arcane Odyssey classes and stat builds can be good and pretty much all are usable thanks to the fixes in the full release update (Knight enjoyers rejoice). The aim of this tier list is not to tell you what you shouldn't play but to outline nuances, strengths and weaknesses. Here's my Arcane Odyssey class and stat build tier list.

Arcane Odyssey Class & Stat Build Tier List

arcane odyssey class and stat build tier list
TierList by Destructoid / Icon Art by Lara Deka (AO Fandom Wiki Admin)

There is no definitive best class in Arcane Odyssey since each one can be good for certain game modes and scenarios. With the Release update even previously weaker classes like Knight and Juggernaut were drastically improved. That said, some are better than others in specific areas like 1v1s, Clan PVP fights and killing bosses. Check out my ranking explanations for individual classes below. As for the tier breakdowns here's what they mean:

  • PVP

    • S-Tier: Naturally powerful
    • A-Tier: Requires build adjustments to be powerful
    • B-Tier: Requires build adjustments and heavy play style tweaking to be powerful

  • PVE

    • S-Tier: Best boss killers
    • A-Tier: Great all-rounders and beginner-friendly
    • B-Tier: Require help and specific weapons/styles/relics to be good
    • C-Tier: Not beginner-friendly and really hard to build

Great Beginner Classes: Mage, Conjurer and Oracle are very beginner-friendly and easy to progress with.

Great All-Rounder Classes: Mage, Oracle, Conjurer, Warlock and Savant are some of the best classes for all game modes (1v1 Duels, Clan PVP and PVE).

Not Beginner Friendly: Berserker, Warrior, Warlord, Savant

Arcane Odyssey Class Ranking Explanations

Class Ranking Explanation

Mage
Primary Stat Build - 60% Magic
Focuses on Magic (Two Magic Choices)
PVE
• Best beginner and PVE-friendly build
• You can get Leaps from both of your Magic slots for amazing PVE exploration
• Learn to kite bosses with Leaps at range and barrage them with blast spells from afar for great DPS

PVP
• Best for Clans where you focus on attack size with high AOE spells like from Metal or the Snow and Ice combo
• Not as strong in 1v1 but can be good with practice with Snare and Self Explosion to punish builds that dive you in melee
• Blast spells are great for punishing enemies in melee during end-lag while Beams punish enemies on the ground and at range

Oracle
Primary Stat Build - 60% Spirit
Focuses on Relics
PVE
• Relics make you extremely flexible since most of the items have really good movesets
• Eagle Patrimony is an amazing beginner moveset since you can spam Spirit Blast for DPS and have good defenses with Spirit Wall
• Also Oracle as a Primary Stat build in general is great for PVE plus most Relics you'll find are really good for progression
• Crystal Orb is specifically strong against bosses too since you can spawn a clone with Aithiraki

PVP
• Staff of Night is amazing for Clan PVP since it's got massive AOEs with an attack size build
• Not as strong for PVP duels since you don't have that many combos

Warrior
Primary Stat Build - 60% Weapons
Focuses on Weapons
PVE
• Incredible versatile due to being able to use any weapon for the situation in both PVP and PVE
• Not the most beginner friendly since you have to find weapons to be good and you don't have a lot of exploration mobility
• That said you're amazing against bosses with Bows, Guns, Pistols, Swords and Staff for high weapon damage and Bleeding
• One of the best boss farm classes

PVP
• Very flexible for 1v1 and Clans
• For clans invest into attack size with large AOE abilities like whirlwind or shockwave spear stabs
• For 1v1 go with an attack speed build with a lot of grabs/combos/stabs though the exact weapon depends on your opponent

Berserker
Primary Stat Build - 60% Strength
Focuses on Fighting Styles
PVE
• Not beginner-friendly since you need to find different fighting styles, grind mastery, and have a lot of moves & Strength for this to be good
• Berserkers are best if you progress as a different PVE class and then Stat Reset later into them
• They're weak in PVE since you cannot grab bosses but you can use specific styles to be better
• Get Axe-Slash which makes fighting bosses easier and later get Thermo Fist with a Power Focus buff to farm bosses
• You'll need help from other players at first but once you get some crucial Fighting Styles you'll be better off

PVP
• Berserker is arguably the best PVP class in the game due to combos and grabs
• You have to learn to parry and dodge various spells though
• That said, your offense is amazing at close range since you have flexible moves for everything
• Uppercut for enemies above, smash moves for below and shot moves for the side
• Move cooldowns aren't shared between fighting styles so switch and spam them
• Focus on attack speed for 1v1 and attack size with shockwaves for Clans

Warlock
Hybrid Stat Build - 40% Magic, 40% Strength
(Magic or Strength can't go above 60%)
PVP
• Allows you to apply on-hit Magic effects via your Fighting Styles
• Not beginner-friendly since you have to make specific combos with Fighting Styles and Magic
• That said you can use Magic to carry you in PVE as you're starting out

PVP
• You're one of the best 1v1 classes since you can fight well at a distance but also grab for good combos
• For Clans you can just focus on attack size and your Magic skills for high AOE damage
• Can counter any Meta build by optimizing different Fighting Styles and Magic
• Not beginner friendly for PVP

Paladin
Hybrid Stat Build - 40% Spirit, 40% Magic
(Spirit or Magic can't go above 60%)
PVE
• Access to great exploration via Relic Leap and the 5-times Leap from Magic for easy traversal
• You're decent against bosses similar to the Oracle and Mage but you have to learn to kite back with Leaps
• Overall it's decent for PVE and very beginner-friendly

PVP
• Best of both worlds from Mage and Oracle so check those notes out since the same applies for Paladin
• Plus you get increased Health and Regeneration
• You're mixing high AOE Magic and Relics with attack size increases
• Basically you get access to the best of the Nigh Staff's moves and Orb's Clone with Magic access
• All of this is mainly for Clans but for 1v1 you have an attack speed precision build with the Orb minion

Warlord
Hybrid Stat Build - 40% Weapons, 40% Strength
(Weapons or Strength can't go above 60%)
PVE
• Same as Warrior since your bleeding and weapon combos do a lot of damage to bosses
• Same as PVP, go with Fighting Styles that synergize with bleeding for weapon procs

PVP
• Amazing for Clans since you have so many AOE options
• Between Shot and Smash as well as using Fighting Styles that synergize with bleeding for weapons to proc, you're really strong in clans
• For 1v1, you're a bit slow but you can focus on attack speed and grabs to catch up

Conjurer
Hybrid Stat Build - 40% Magic, 40% Weapon
(Magic or Weapon can't go above 60%)
PVE
• Invest into Magic first for story and progression (I recommend Metal for easy early progression)
• You're okay against bosses at this point but not the best
• Then later you can invest into weapons to become better at doing bosses

PVP
• This is where this class shines since you are so flexible
• Weapons are great for 1v1 while Magic is great for Clans
• You're similar to Warlock in terms of your flexibility just without as many combos

Juggernaut
Hybrid Stat Build - 40% Spirit, 40% Strength
(Spirit or Strength can't go above 60%)
PVE
• Faces similar problems to Berserker
• You cannot grab bosses so I recommend the same styles as I did for the Berserker to fight bosses better
• That said the Relics do make it a bit easier to progress and give you more options
• Still a better PVP class though

PVP
• Iron Leg and Sailor Style work really well with Eagle Patrimony due to status effect synergies
• Ekrix is an excellent Dodge Reflex for Juggernaut for further damage reduction
• You're amazing in Clans with attack size since you have so much AOE between Relics and Styles

Knight
Hybrid Stat Build - 40% Spirit, 40% Weapons
(Spirit or Weapons can't go above 60%)
PVE
• Knight is much better in the release update than before due to the weapon loadout changes
• Decent DPS with similar to notes to Warrior but with added healing
• Overall a decent choice but I prefer it for PVP

PVP
• Great for 1v1s due to increased health, regeneration and precise attacks
• Decently flexible with weapon selection that you can use to counter different builds
• Also has options to invest in attack size for Clan PVP with good shockwave moves from weapons

Savant
Three Stats Build - At least 10% in Three Stats
(Less than 50% in one and no more than 40% in two)
PVE
• Hard to build for beginners and hard for progression unless you focus on Magic first
• Requires a lot of time, grinding and specific weapons, fighting styles, relics and spells to be good
• Best option is to play something else like Mage and then respec into Savant

PVP
• Can be really strong but really hard to build
• It's easy to make a weak build unless you're going for specific combos
• Overall Hybrid classes are better
