A 1/7 figure of Leon Magnus from Tales of Destiny is now open for pre-order via sites such as AmiAmi. Right now, he costs 24,980 JPY (around $167.30). He'll come out some time in July 2024, and AmiAmi offers international shipping.
The figure has a very dynamic pose, with Leon posing with his twin swords. It uses the Remake version of his character, since Leon in the original game did not double wield like this. Namco only altered his fighting style in the remake to bring him closer to his appearance as Judas in Tales of Destiny 2. Because of the way the blue resin forms an arc around him, it looks like he's in the middle of using a move like Crescent Strike.
You can check out more pictures of the Leon Magnus figure from AmiAmi here:
Leon is not the first retro Tales character that AmiAmi released a figure of. Previously, it also sold a scale figure of Reala from Tales of Destiny 2, which was the direct sequel to Leon's Tales of Destiny. Though not figures, Bandai Namco still releases goods of Leon due to his popularity. He's actually not someone you can vote for in the popularity polls because he's been in the Top 3 multiple times already.
The Leon figure from Tales of Destiny is available for pre-order via AmiAmi. It'll come out in July 2024.

The Twitter account for Mineko's Night Market has issued an apology for the performance on the Switch. It acknowledges multiple issues that users have complained about, as well as explains that updates to fix these problems might take a bit longer than they'd like.
You can read the full statement via the Twitter account for the game, as well as here:
In summary, the studio plans on addressing three major bugs: the bug in HQ, audio hitching while loading, and the Ramen Shop quest. However, because patches for the Switch need to wait for Nintendo to test and approve of them, it might take a while to release them for the public.
The first patch will come out soon and will address "minor fixes," which includes a fix to the Ramen Shop quest. The reason why this will come out so quickly is because the team submitted it before the game came out. The second patch will come out next week. It will fix many issues, including a fix to the HQ quest. The PC version of the game has already fixed a multitude of these problems.
Mineko's Night Market is a business simulation game in which you have to revitalize a local night market in a small Japanese island. You have to also get your neighbors to set up shop as well. In order to do so, you can do quests for your neighbors, as well as make and sell crafts for your own store.
Mineko's Night Market is readily available on the Nintendo Switch and Windows PC. It'll also come out for the PS4, PS5, and Xbox One on October 26, 2023. You can read our review of the game here.

Seablip, a Norwegian TRPG, now has a demo available to download via Steam. It is part of the October 2023 Steam Next Fes line-up. The game also has a planned February 2024 release window, with a more detailed release date to appear soon. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Developer Jardar Solli first unveiled Seablip at TGS 2022. It is a 16-bit 2D game that is reminiscent of Stardew Valley. In it, you are a pirate captain who can explore the vast oceanic world while managing your ship and crew. You can also fight against other enemy pirates, upgrade your ship, look for treasure, and explore the seven seas. You can also relax with some fishing and farming.
So far, the game will only have English support. It does not seem like it will have support for other languages planned in the future, judging by the Kickstarter page. The Kickstarter first appeared in 2020 and it accumulated 184,506 NOK, surpassing its initial goal of 100,000 NOK. However, according to a message that Solli sent to 4Gamer, those funds ran out within a few months. While a demo came out in late September 2023, there are some minor differences and tweaks in the game in the current build. For example, you no longer need to wait the next day for your crew's health to recover.
Seablip will come out on Windows PC some time in February 2024. The demo is readily available on Steam.

The Kamotsuru Sake Brewing Company in Hiroshima is teaming up with Sega and Nexus to release a commemorative sake for the launch of Like a Dragon Gaiden. The wine is a daiginjo, which is usually the best sake from a brewery. The collectible drink costs 5500 JPY ($36.85) and will be released on November 9, 2023.
The sake, which is fittingly called the "Dragon of Dojima," comes in a box that Kamotsuru made in Kiryu's image. It has a "chic" and "expensive-looking" black design to express Kiryu's cool and strong-willed personality. As for the wine itself, it uses Hiroshima rice and water from subterranean rivers in the Kamotsuru mountains. According to Sake Tsunagi, which sells it, it has a light and mild flavor that goes well with food.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a spin-off title that follows Kiryu after he fakes his death and finally frees himself from the yakuza. Due to circumstances out of his control, he once again has to return to the underground world. Though not exactly a mainline entry in the long-running Like a Dragon series, Gaiden seems to tie into the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which will come out in 2024.
The Like a Dragon Gaiden Kiryu sake is open for pre-order, and it'll ship out on November 9, 2023. It is only available in Japan. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will launch on November 9, 2023, for the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

A new Crunchyroll TV channel will appear first on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, The Roku Channel, and VIZIO WatchFree+. It will air anime 24/7, which includes shows in the English dub. It will continue to roll out new shows (as in shows that are not part of its launch titles), as well as themed programming blocks.
Here are some of the featured series that will air on the Crunchyroll TV channel:
The above shows are available in English. There will be other shows as well. The Crunchyroll channel is free, but it uses ads to support it. This makes it very similar to the old format of Crunchyroll, which allowed users to watch anime for free even without an account, though you had to deal with ads. Newer shows will likely not appear on the channel until later.
As of 2022, over 120 million Crunchyroll users (with 12 million of them paying) use the service. Some of them were Funimation users, which Crunchyroll merged with following Sony acquiring the company.
The Crunchyroll channel is now available on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, The Roku Channel, and VIZIO WatchFree+. As well, this is a reminder that US customers are eligible for payment from Crunchyroll as the result of a class action lawsuit.

Siliconera Wednesday, October 11, 2023 5:00 PM Cover announced that its unit of Vtubers formerly named Hololive English Council will now include IRyS and become Hololive English Promise. The company is considering this a new unit, but it will consist of four talents from the original group. In addition, the VSinger project Project:HOPE closed. IRyS officially belongs to this new group instead as of October 8, 2023. The five Vtubers in Hololive English Promise are IRyS, Ceres Fauna, Ouro Kronii, Nanashi Mumei, and Hakos Baelz. Fans of the original Hololive English Council may recognize that Tsukumo Sana is excluded from Hololive English Promise, as she graduated from her Vtuber activities in late July 2022. The idea is that this new group brings with it a brand-new concept separate from the Council's original idea of observing humans from a distance. Although their unit name has changed, the five members will continue to conduct their VTuber activities as usual. The new official hashtag for them is #holoPromise. Prior to this decision, IRyS often collaborated with the members of Council. She was also often included in merchandise for Council ahead of this decision. For example, when there were the 3D debuts, she was included with the other four. Acrylic stands for all five were sold at the same time. People can still purchase those. In other news related to the group, Nanashi Mumei recently released a new song. "Mumei" is available on multiple streaming services. HoYoVerse released a number of Genshin Impact trailers for Wriothesley, with one showing his personality and two other teasers looking at gameplay. In one, we see how the hardened official is capable of consideration and kindness when it comes to innocents. In the others, we see his Elemental Skill and Burst.
The Genshin Impact story trailer for Wriothesley deals with a sensitive subject. The Fortress of Meropide Administrator is personally dealing with a Fontaine Child Welfare Services case involving a prisoner who is about to be taken to jail. He accompanies the caseworker there as he picks up the child's father, claiming to be a colleague and the government employee is a "friend" of the father that will care for her. They keep up the charade that he's on business, rather than going to jail. Wriothesley then explains this was done for the child's sake, and not for the new inmate, and tells him to be a better father.
Next, here's a video showing the five-star Cryo character's Elemental Burst. It also notes how his health affects the attack.
Next, here's the Darkgold Wolfbite Elemental Burst.
As a reminder, while he does use boxing gloves for his attacks, this new character is a catalyst user. This isn't the first time HoYoVerse has done this, as the four-star Heizou functions in a similar manner.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The Wriothesley banner begins on October 17, 2023. Neuvillette and Hutao are available until then.

HoYoVerse announced that there's a new Honkai: Star Rail Twitch Drops campaign accompanying the launch of the PS5 version and 1.4 update. For almost a month, people can earn in-game rewards for watching streams. Among the items are Stellar Jades, as usual. As long as you connect your HoYoVerse account for the game and your Twitch account on the official site, you can start earning items.
The announcement also covered some of the items you can earn this time around. As usual, 30 Stellar Jades are available as a bonus. (You need 160 of them for a single pull on the gacha.) You can also get three Traveler's Guides, which you use to give experience to characters and level them up. 20,000 Credits can be acquired. So can Condensed Aether to level up Light Cones and Lost Gold Fragments to level up Relics. Once you see the items on your Twitch Drops page, you should see them eventually appear shortly after in your in-game mailbox. However, you do need to have completed the Herta Space Station Trailblaze Mission "A Moment of Peace" before they appear.
It isn't uncommon for regular Twitch Drops events to appear for the game. For example, we saw some in April 2023 and July 2023. The rewards and requirements always tend to remain the same.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The 1.4 update that brings Jingliu and Topaz in as playable characters is also live. The latest Honkai: Star Rail Twitch Drops campaign runs until November 8, 2023.

Albert Wesker is perhaps one of the most recognizable characters in the Resident Evil series, if not one of the most recognizable in Capcom's extensive catalogue of IPs in general. Despite the character's storyline effectively coming to a close in 2009's Resident Evil 5, Wesker is back as Capcom works through remaking games in the series to incredible effect. It comes as a surprise to no one that played the original Resident Evil 4 that Wesker would appear in some capacity given his previous role, or that he would potentially be added to the The Mercenaries in the remake. So when he was eventually added, I absolutely had to see how he handled.
Wesker was my "main" in the original Mercenaries mode. I loved his loadout and his melee moves looked slick, outside of being extremely powerful. Playing as Wesker felt good, and Capcom nailed what it meant to embody him. I could dash from enemy to enemy with ease, and with a snappier precision than how he played in Resident Evil 5.
There is even a "new" melee attack for Wesker that references a cutscene in Resident Evil 5. His melee attacks were powerful, and extremely well motion captured. Much like his melee attacks in the original Resident Evil 4 The Mercenaries, Wesker's melee attacks are probably some of the strongest attacks in the game.
But what made this somehow even better is Wesker's Mayhem Mode was handled. Mayhem Mode in this game specifically is a power unique to a character. For example, Luis can throw dynamite at enemies while his Mayhem Mode is active. With Wesker, it's channeled through his melee attacks. Entering Mayhem Mode allows him to use melee skills freely so long as Mayhem Mode is active. This encourages you to play perfectly. In general, that's what playing Wesker requires. Some kind of precision and perfect execution.
While The Mercenaries in the remake does make some characters to specific characters, and even adds in a new one with Luis, Capcom only improved on what made Wesker fun in Resident Evil 4. Yeah he doesn't have the same load-out, and that might bother some. But would you really be playing Wesker if you weren't using an egregious amount of melee attacks?
The Resident Evil 4 remake, and Separate Ways DLC, is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC
