It's armed with 16GB of VRAM, which gives it enough headroom to really slide up the eye candy in your graphics settings, and its GPU performance isn't far off the RTX 4080, a card that cost $1,199 when it first launched. That all looks pretty good for a card that ostensibly has a price of $749, and unlike the high-end Nvidia GPUs, there's a decent supply of 5070 Ti GPUs at the moment. No pre-release review codes? Pah – I couldn't even get a demo appointment at the most demo appointment-centric games event of the year. How's that for rejection. Anyway, Team Cherry might just not be that into me, but I might well be into Silksong. It's a little quicker, a little more dynamic, and to these fingers, a little more difficult than the first Hollow Knight. But it entirely preserves that tight-as-a-drum feel of the original's sword swishing, and deploys it against insectoid baddies that challenge and frustrate in practically identical ways. |

Wakana Kinme, the heroine in the Wash It All Away manga series, is something of a mystery. We know she's an amnesiac from the start. She's incredibly good at doing hand-washed laundry. However, we don't really know who she is, where she's from, and what happened to her. Some tiny hints came up in earlier volumes in the series, but it's the third one that starts to build up her story and suggest even more about her past in a satisfying way.
Editor's Note: There are some light spoilers for volume 3 of the manga Wash It All Away below.
While Wash It All Away is a slice of life type of series about a traditional laundry in the tourist town of Atami, it's more than that. It's a peek into the life of Wakana Kinme and the effect she has on people around her. She's generally a lovely young woman who cares about folks, wants to help them, enjoys communal bathhouses, and is fantastic at cleaning and restoring clothing and other fabrics. However, there's also a bit of a mystery lurking in the background of each installment. Wakana's last name, Kinme, comes from the hand-wash laundry where she works, and she's an amnesiac throughout Wash It All Away.
Now, prior to volume 3 of the manga, these have been a little far between. But with this third installment, we get multiple hints at Wakana's past. These are both overt and more of a possible aside. But in each case, they're helpful insights.
The most notable one is a whole story segment with Uka Hatsuayu involving a photo shoot for a government-sponsored tourism article for Hatsushima. Uka asks Wakana to help. Because of her amnesia, Wakana says she doesn't think she's been to that city before. And for the most part, the focus is on that modeling experience. She has a wonderful time with Uka, and the group gets the photos of both of them that are needed. Except… as things are about to end… Wakana wanders off.
What happens after that raises so many more questions. Not only about Wakana and her past, but I feel like about Hatsushima too. In the past, hints about her life in the previous volumes were so brief. We didn't get any major clues. There seemed to be a sense of sadness, but that's it. Now here, there's an even bigger clue, but also a mystery about her actions at the end of the visit.
I especially enjoyed how that paired with another insight into Wakana. During a storm later in the story, she runs into Kyusho Ishimochi. Her reactions to the weather seem over-the-top. It struck me as more than a simple phobia. Which makes me wonder if that's tied in to things as well.
Volume 3 of Wash It All Away also continued a pattern for Wakana backstory reveals, as it hints at her past and teases details while still maintaining the slice of life atmosphere. In the first volume, it happened during a summer sort of rain. Here, the hints happen in similar ways. In Hatsushima, the focus is on the trip, but we see Wakana sort of branch off toward the end in a way that doesn't totally take away from the main purpose and trip. When the storm happens again and we see her reactions, it's framed in a way to accentuate who she is and perhaps get us wondering why.
It means the mystery of Wash It All Away still gets to be paired with the slice of life ambiance we've come to expect from the series in a satisfying way. Wakana Kinme still gets to be a bright, dedicated, energetic, and welcoming young woman who helps others. However, she does also still get to experience these moments that leave us wondering as readers. The mystery is maintained without tarnishing the other elements we enjoy about the series. Given Square Enix teased an appearance of Kinme Cleaning's previous owner in volume 5, it makes me wonder what insights could appear next.
Volume 3 of Wash It All Away is available now, and Square Enix will release volume 4 on October 14, 2025. An anime adaptation of the series will appear in 2026.

After almost a decade in development, Escape from Takov 1.0 will mark the full launch of the strategic shooter, and it has indeed been a long time coming.
The news was confirmed earlier on Aug. 22 along with the release of patch 0.16.9, which introduced Targrad Tales. Let's quickly look at when the 1.0 version launch is coming to PCs, and what we should expect.

Escape from Tarkov 1.0 release countdown
Escape from Tarkov 1.0 will be released globally on Nov. 15. Till then, the game will continue to be in a beta state (as it is at the time of writing) and will keep receiving upgrades, all of which will be available in the full launch.
It's hard to pinpoint an exact launch due to the general availability of Escape from Tarkov. Instead of using popular storefronts like Steam, you can purchase a copy only from the game's official website. The countdown below is based on the usual time to release major updates.
Here are the expected times for when the 1.0 release should happen.
Once again, we have no confirmed timings for writing this guide. I will update this guide if we get more information in the lead-up to the release. There's always a scope for a potential delay, but fans have waited for over eight years now. Hopefully, there won't be any changes to the planned schedule, and full release should take place on Nov. 15.
Escape from Tarkov 1.0 features
Over the years, the developers have made plenty of additions to Escape from Tarkov, and they will all be available on the full version of the game.
The game is fundamentally an extraction shooter but aims to provide a hardcore survival experience. You'll be up against other players and the environment where every decision is essential, and you'll have to manage your resources while surviving in the brutal world, all at the same time.
Thanks to over 400 updates in the beta, there are more than 1000 weapons and tools to pick from, and all of them are deeply customizable based on your requirements/playstyle. There's a fully developed market where you can trade away your resources and get what you need.
Escape from Tarkov is far from the typical extraction shooters, and the beginner experience can be grueling. That said, version 1.0 will have all the updates made since the start of the beta phase, and you can pick up different editions based on your needs if you're willing to give the game a go.

Summer break is almost over. If you're going back to school this September, odds are, you either love it or hate it. Our BitLife character during the School Daze challenges probably enjoys it, but not for the reasons you'd expect.
BitLife's School Daze challenge has five objectives to complete:

You won't need any special career packs or expansions for this challenge. However, multiple objectives rely on luck, particularly those involving school clubs.
Be born in the United Kingdom
Our first objective during BitLife's Nerd challenge is to be born in the United Kingdom. Since this event doesn't require a specific town or city, you'll just need to choose the United Kingdom as your country when creating a new character. Your starting stats, name, and gender are entirely up to you.
Having high stats, particularly smarts and looks, will make this challenge much easier to complete. However, this is optional, as you can easily complete these tasks as long as you're familiar with BitLife's school system.
Mess with three of your primary school classmates
Your first task is to mess with at least three of your primary school classmates. To do this, age up until your character is old enough to enroll into primary school before navigating to School, Class, and any of your classmates. You'll find a "Mess" option that lets your character bully someone else.
I recommend only messing with your classmates three times just to complete the challenge. Every attempt lowers your popularity, making it harder to raise it later on for a later task. You can counteract this by befriending as many classmates as possible and increasing your overall stats.
They're also likely to retaliate by messing with you in return or telling a teacher, so be prepared for some consequences. Fortunately, this doesn't usually impact your character too much, so keep at it until you finish the task.
Skip secondary school three times
Your next task is to age up until your character can skip secondary school. You'll find a "Skip" option through your school menu. You usually won't get in trouble for it, but your grades will slip each time you do it.
Achieve 70 percent popularity in secondary school
While our character is in secondary school, continue improving your stats, particularly looks and smarts. You'll also want to befriend as many classmates as possible to raise your popularity.
If your popularity is still low after entering secondary school, join an extracurricular activity and work hard to move up its rank. Becoming the captain of a club will raise your popularity, helping you cross over the 70 percent threshold for the challenges.
Go to juvie
Our last task for BitLife's School Daze challenge is to get our character to go to juvie. You can only do this if your character is 17 or younger, so you'll need to make sure you act quickly before you age up to adulthood. InZOI's Island Getaway DLC has added plenty of new jobs to the already available list of career options that you can explore on the islands of Cahaya.
While the DLC is holiday-themed, you can do much more than just explore the picturesque beaches. For starters, the main island of Cahaya allows you nine different full-time career options to pick from.
All InZOI Island Getaway careers
Every job in the Island Getaway is automatic. There are three different positions, offering three types of money.
While there's definitely decent variety in terms of new jobs in the Island Getaway DLC, you can't actually do any of them in the game. Instead, they are done automatically per the applicable schedule, which certainly makes them slightly boring in the long run, but ideal for beginners in InZOI.
