Re-Ment announced it will be selling Pokemon Terrarium Collection 15 figures in Japan starting on July 28, 2025. This is an ongoing series of figures that show scenes with characters from the series inside of clear, plastic Poke Balls. They will be 1,650円 (~$11) each in Japan. There's no US release window yet, but these do show up worldwide on stores like Amazon, with the 14th series already there.
This collection of Pokemon Terrarium figures reference the original Pokemon Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow games. All four possible starters are here in some form, with Pikachu appearing alongside the legendary Mew in one, and another three being Blastoise, Charizard, and Venusaur. Lapras, which we get from a Silph Co person, is another. Things round out with Mewtwo as the final character to appear.
Here's how all these look:

Each time these come out, we see sets that include six different varieties. Each one features a different biome with at least one Pokemon inside of it. For example, a series that launched in November 2024 included Slowpoke, Goomy, and Psyduck.
The Re-Ment Pokemon Terrarium 15 collection figures will be out in Japan on July 28, 2025, and we'll see them appear sometime after worldwide.

Good Smile Company announced the next Danganronpa 2 Nendoroid will be of protagonist Hajime Hinata, and people in Japan will see the figure in December 2025. It will cost ¥6,500. The figure will later show up worldwide in Q2 2026 for $42.99.
This is a more simple Nendoroid that doesn't include many accessories. We get three face plates. In one he's smiling. In another, it looks like he is angry and shouting. The third involves him looking panicked and scared. He doesn't come with anything to hold, but there is a part that hold a transparent background piece that makes it look like he is countering someone else's statement during a trial.
Here's a closer look at the Danganronpa 2 Hajime Hinata Nendoroid and the different poses that are possible with the figure.

The Danganronpa 2 Hajime Hinata Nendoroid will come to Japan in December 2025 and the US in Q2 2026. Pre-orders end on September 3, 2025. The game is available on the Switch, PSP, Vita, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.

Sanrio and Sunblink announced the return of the Hello Kitty Island Adventure annual Friendship Festival event, and it confirmed this year My Melody and Kuromi will be the primary focus. It will start this year on July 27, 2025. This falls in line with past installments that appeared in the game, as the first one began on July 28, 2023, and the second followed on July 25, 2025.
This is the game's anniversary festival. As such, each year it has more of a formal, party theme to it. However, one common theme is that it allows someone to have two companions with them at once, and that's been part of it since 2023. We'll earn special cosmetics during it too, with people needing to take photos with characters around the island to get Friendship Charms to trade for items. There will be new food recipes this time and Art Deco furniture, and we'll likely see the return of past items.
This also comes after the stop-motion series My Melody & Kuromi debuted on silico. The series consists of 12 episodes that are each about 15 minutes long and follow the adventures of the two mascots and their friends. As such, other notable characters related to them, like Baku and My Sweet Piano, often appear.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is on the Switch, PC, and iOS devices via Apple Arcade, the PS4 and PS5 release date is August 29, 2025, and the Friendship Festival with My Melody and Kuromi starts on July 27, 2025.

We're one step closer to the next Silent Hill 2 Bubble Head Nurse figure shambling into our lives, as Good Smile Company offered a status update on the Nendoroid on social media. It is now in the painted prototype phase. Given how quickly things can proceed at this point, it is likely we'll see pre-orders open in the next few weeks.
The photo of the Silent Hill 2 Bubble Head Nurse Nendoroid shows the figure with one accessory. She's wielding a steel pipe in her right hand, a type of weapon we've seen the enemy wield in multiple entries. She's wearing a nurse's uniform, complete with matching hat, white gloves, and white shoes. As a nod to her violent nature, there are blood stains on the skirt of her dress. The pose used for this photo makes it look like she's walking toward the viewer.
Here's the latest photo Good Smile Company shared.
![]()
This Silent Hill enemy first appeared in the second game, and we most recently saw her return in the remake of Silent Hill 2. Since its launch, it has appeared in other entries. For example, we fought them in Silent Hill: Book of Memories on the Vita.
As such, the character has been a recurring subject for Silent Hill figures. A figma of the entity showed up back in November 2015, before returning in August 2021. A Pop Up Parade figure later appeared in April 2023.
The Silent Hill 2 Bubble Head Nurse Nendoroid is in development, and we could see pre-orders for the figure open in the near future.

Couch co-op is making a comeback, and Split Fiction is the game to play if you want endless entertainment without some random teammate yelling in your ear. Whether you're a Hazelight Studios fan or you just miss playing a great co-op game without the need for online play, Split Fiction packs in everything you could possibly want from an action-packed genre-bending adventure.
Here are our Split Fiction tips for playing co-op; be it on the couch with a loved one, or via the Friend's Pass.
Split Fiction co-op guide
1) Beat It Takes Two first
![]()
Hazelight Studios creates amazing couch co-op games. But each title has grown more elaborate than the last, upping the gameplay and action with every new release. A Way Out is a great place to start, as it features simple mechanics, focusing on communication and teamwork. It Takes Two adds more variety to the gameplay, moving away from a linear walking sim-style game to an all-out platformer. While It Takes Two is faster paced than Hazelight Studios' earlier title, it is a better game to master and complete before heading to play Split Fiction in 2025. This step is important to family, friends, or couples wanting to try Split Fiction out, but who rarely play video games.
As Split Fiction is a more demanding game compared to Hazelight Studios' other entries, we recommend at least playing It Takes Two first so a casual gamer or novice can learn the fundamentals of gaming without feeling overwhelmed by the chaos unfolding on-screen. While it's a tougher title to handle if you're not used to gaming, Split Fiction is very forgiving. Checkpoints are everywhere, and you can quickly get back into the fight if you fall off the map or get taken out by an enemy or boss.
2) Choose your character wisely
![]()
Hazelight Studio games can be picked up by anyone, but Split Fiction's gameplay is significantly more complex as you may need to juggle shooting, platforming, driving, and flying all at once. Thankfully, there are clear differences between the two characters.
Zoe's gameplay is catered towards casuals, while Mio is for the more experienced gamer.
You shouldn't pick your character based on how they look, but use their favorite genre as an indication of what's to come. Mio loves sci-fi and action. Her levels feature shooting, timing, and platforming. Zoe is a fantasy fan, making her levels slower-paced, more puzzle-based, with exploration at the forefront. The level design of each genre's chapters isn't the only difference. There are moments where Mio is the clear leader between the two, having more advanced gameplay and control in situations where Zoe has to sit back and complete simpler tasks. It's not frequent, but Zoe can take a backseat to control the bigger picture from afar with basic controls and watch Mio.
You may feel at times that who you're playing with is having a better time or has a more entertaining kit to play around with, but there's nothing stopping you from swapping controllers if you're playing this couch co-op style. So, if you or your teammate isn't as used to gaming as your counterpart, then be sure to play as Zoe.
3) Play through Split Fiction one world at a time
![]()
Although Split Fiction is incredibly entertaining, we highly recommend completing one world at a time. Each is full of chapters, with two to three Side Stories to hook you in. Worlds are separated into sci-fi and fantasy, developing Mio and Zoe's individual stories and switching up the gameplay to keep it fresh. You should aim to see everything each world has to offer, finding each Side Story and reaching the next world where a new set of challenges await.
Our reasoning for this tip is that each world is approximately one hour long. We feel frequent breaks are needed for this game to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. Packing everything inside one sitting will likely dampen your experience, where the early game will feel like peak gameplay, and everything else will dwindle in quality. It's best to experience each world as is and visit the Side Stories to get something to break up the chapters. There is no reason to rush playing through this game, and doing so may result in viewing the gameplay as repetitive. As the story is rather basic with its predictable development, we recommend playing Split Fiction until you complete one of Mio's or Zoe's worlds and then revisit it another time to continue the story.

Congratulations, gamers and girlbosses, you've made it to another Friday. What awaits ahead is two days of non-stop gaming, and I cannot wait to hear what it is you'll be playing this time around.
Saturdays are push days
Lately, I've been on a gym adventure, hoping to build up that extra stamina needed to maintain a healthy balance between constant work and leisure. Every day we wake up and wonder why we're here, so we might as well gather the strength to overcome these wonders and enjoy the few beauties life has to offer.
Now, after pumping iron for two straight hours, I'll be returning to a semi-forgotten classic Ubisoft never succeeded in replicating. That is, of course, For Honor, and there are few places better to spend that extra strength than the battlefield. A new hero came out called Virtuosa, who is all forms of unbalanced and broken, which is expected in this day and age of paid premium characters. If she weren't overpowered, what incentive does anyone have to buy her for 10 bucks?
Anyhow, For Honor is on the menu this weekend, and I sure do hope it keeps me locked in for at least a while, given that I've already beaten Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty and cried my heart and soul out over the bittersweetness of the human condition.
Killer Time
![]()
Aside from that nice live-service gem, I have another such game planned for this weekend (and every weekend, for that matter). It's, of course, Dead by Daylight. Here, gym physique and immunosuppressants won't help against overpowered Killers licensed from the biggest horror franchises (especially Ken Kaneki of Tokyo Ghoul fame).
Thankfully, some buds and I are going to try to overcome the challenges BHRV's egregious near-pay-to-win system throws at us. Teaming up is the name of the game, and no Killer will have a good time against us (that is, unless they pick one of the countless broken trademarked options in the game).
But my ramblings are one thing, I want to hear more about you, our dear readers. So, whatcha gonna be playin' this weekend? Or the next one if you're away on an awesome summer vacation, unlike myself? Please do let me know, and never stop being awesome, Destructoid.
Have a great weekend.
