I was immediately smitten with Anno: Mutationem's sleek, side-scrolling pixel art and bombastic, beat 'em up-inspired action sequences. However, even these notable highlights pale in comparison to its wonderful portrayal of Ayane, one of the game's side characters, who ascends from mere NPC into being the emotional…

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands revitalizes Borderlands, thanks to a fantasy-inspired respray and an increased focus on melee attacks.      This city builder lets you terraform Mars

Interstellar city builder Terraformers could be the next chill Steam game to look out for if you want to unwind. Developer Asteroid Lab has revealed that the space game is coming to Steam Early Access on April 21.

Terraformers puts you at the head of an expedition party looking to explore Mars, develop cities, and terraform the planet into Earth's next big hope. In a post on Valve's storefront, Asteroid Lab explains that Early Access appeals to the team as "all the major components of the game are in place", though there's plenty of content yet to come. And, after all, what's better than fan feedback as you're working your way through that part of development?

"This will be a gradual process and will still take some months," the team says. "But the core game is already playable and we feel there is no reason to keep the game away while we are adding more to it. In addition, the feedback we received on the demo and then on the prologue has been invaluable in improving the game, balancing it, and polishing it. We have some ideas for a few more features and content, but we think it would be cool to involve you all in the process."

PSA: Fortnite building is expected to return tomorrow

Fortnite building is coming back very soon - probably. Ahead of the launch of Chapter 3 Season 2, dataminers and leakers uncovered files suggesting that building would be temporarily removed from Fortnite. Which, of course, it was. According to that initial datamine from iFireMonkey, the building blackout would last for nine days, and those nine days are up as of tomorrow.

With that in mind, everyone expects Fortnite building to be coming back on Tuesday, March 29. This date has not been confirmed by Epic, and is certainly subject to change. However, Fortnite is one of the leakiest games on the market, and once dataminers have reported on a given feature or event, it generally hits the game on that schedule.

If you're enjoying no-build Fortnite, however, there's good news: further datamines have suggested that separate no-build modes will be available after building returns to the main game. HypeX reports on Twitter that internal game files now make reference to "modes with building enabled", strongly suggesting that you'll have options going forward.

Genshin Impact outfits – available skins and what's coming next

After months of the community asking for character outfits, Genshin Impact gives players the chance to change their character's outfits using the skins system. This system was introduced in the Genshin Impact 1.6 update, which also welcomed the Anemo Sword user Kazuha to the game. Ayaka, the Cyro Sword user, arrived in the second banner in Genshin Impact 1.6.

One of the big questions surrounding the skin system was how skins were planned to be distributed. As Genshin Impact locks characters behind gacha mechanics, players were worried that skins may be sold using the same system. There are two methods to unlock events: purchase the skin for 1680 Genesis Crystals, or complete a specific event. If you happen to miss the event, the skin will make its way to the Character Outfit Shop in the future.

Genshin Impact 2.6 introduces four new skins for Jean, Rosaria, Amber, and Mona. These skins are largely the same as their original outfits, and they don't cost any Genesis Crystals. Here are all of the Genshin Impact outfits so far.

Evil Dead: The Game system requirements

Developer Saber Interactive has released some of the Evil Dead: The Game system requirements well ahead of the game's release date, giving us plenty of time to prepare our gaming PCs for the groovy times ahead.

Evil Dead: The Game will support Nvidia DLSS upscaling technology, offering an easy to way to boost fps, which should also boost your chances of survival against the Deadites or would-be heroes of the game by keeping input lag to a minimum. Unfortunately, there's no word on whether it will also support AMD FSR or Intel XeSS, so you'll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX card to make use of this particular feature.

We don't yet know what the minimum specs for Evil Dead: The Game are, save for 8GB of gaming RAM. However, since the developer recommends an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti or AMD RX 5600 XT GPU, we can safely assume you shouldn't need the best graphics card to run the game. This same logic can be applied on the CPU front too, with the recommended specs requesting the modestly powerful Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X processors.

Halo Infinite Season 2 details coming

Expect more Halo Infinite Season 2 details "really soon" according to the FPS game's lead, who also says that he is "super excited about the next year and beyond" - but also notes that it is "challenging" to be open with the fans.

The Halo Infinite Season 2 release date has previously been confirmed for the beginning of May, which will be titled Lone Wolves - presumably in reference to the bleak but iconic final mission of Halo Reach - and will include new skins, maps, modes, and even story-based narrative content with cinematics.

However, other than a few pieces of concept art, 343 Industries hasn't given fans any sort of a look at what they can expect for the multiplayer game's second season. In a new interview at the Washington Post (via streamer Mint Blitz), head of creative Joseph Staten confirms that "really soon, fans are going to be exposed to some of the cool stuff we have going on for Season 2" - although he admits it hasn't been entirely smooth sailing thus far.

FFXIV data center travel detailed, but still no cross-region

FFXIV is getting data center travel as of patch 6.18. The developers have again confirmed this as part of a new explainer breaking down the implementation of the feature - however, as previously announced, there will be no cross-region travel in this initial launch, and it's still up in the air whether cross-region play will be implemented at all.

FFXIV is divided into two types of data centers, as explained in the new blog post. There are four physical data centers, each divided by region: Japan, North America, Europe, and Oceania. Within those physical data centers are logical data centers - in North America, for example, those are Aether, Primal, and Crystal. In Europe, they're Chaos and Light. Each of those logical data centers are then divided into 'worlds', or 'servers' in the more common MMO parlance.

Data center travel will only allow you travel between logical data centers, not physical ones - meaning that you cannot travel between regions in the 6.18 implementation. As director Naoki Yoshida said in a blog post earlier this year, this is "due in part to differences in game economy and values. We'll be paying keen attention to the opinions of players as we consider whether or not to introduce cross-region travel in the future."

Steam Deck TV: how to connect with a dock or HDMI

Wondering how to connect your Steam Deck to a TV or gaming monitor? Valve's versatile handheld actually doubles as a big-screen experience. Sure, the dinky Steam machine isn't on par with a rig rocking the best graphics card, but it's more than capable of bringing an entry-level experience to your living room. You can also connect external controllers to the Deck, meaning it could replace your current big-screen console of choice.

Valve's official docking station hasn't arrived yet, but you can still hook up the Steam Deck to a TV. There's an abundance of third-party docks already available online, but thanks to the boons of USB-C, you can also connect straight to your screen using an adapter and HDMI. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to charge the Deck or use other USB devices if you opt to use a single cord, as Valve's handheld uses one port for connectivity and power.

Creating a Steam Deck TV setup is relatively straightforward, and you don't necessarily need a high-end screen by the likes of Samsung, LG, or Hisense.

Death Stranding Director's Cut system requirements

If you can't get enough of Sam Bridges' delivery antics, you'll be pleased to know that the Death Stranding Director's Cut system requirements remain unchanged from the base game. Meaning older gaming PCs should be able to run this expanded edition of Hideo Kojima's action-adventure game, which comes with lots of new PC-exclusive features and additional content.

Death Stranding Director's Cut will natively support ultrawide resolutions found on the best gaming monitors, letting the bleak but beautiful vistas of the game truly shine. It's also packing a new photo mode, 'Racetrack' and 'Firing Range' game modes, in addition to more stroyline missions.

Exciting as these new features and game modes are, don't forget that Death Stranding Director's Cut will come with all the PC-exclusive enhancements found in the base game. This includes Nvidia DLSS upscaling technology, which should help boost fps in systems equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards. That said, the game should support Intel XeSS in the near-future too.

A One Piece JRPG game is in the works at Bandai Namco, and don't fret - there's a One Piece Odyssey PC release via Steam on the cards, too. The anime game is due out this year and it features "new character and monster designs" by One Piece's creator, alongside music from the composer of Dark Souls.

It's due out later in 2022 and yes, it'll get a PC release on Steam alongside the console versions.

As Bandai Namco's website describes it, One Piece Odyssey has been "in the works for many years" and will involve the Straw Hats being stranded on "a mysterious island... filled with wonders of a raging nature, powerful enemies, and strange encounters with island locals." Playable characters include Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Frankie, and Brook.

Minecraft infinite water is only one block away with this tip

Figuring out how to make Minecraft infinite water as early as possible is a great way to make farming easier. It means you can easily create obsidian when you find lava, make rivers to travel down, and even construct elevators. You can also use water to help automate farming, so there's really no shortage of uses for water in the chill building game.

One redditor has gifted us all with an effortless way to solve our water needs thanks to a unique interaction between bonemeal and water blocks. They simply dig a little hole, place the water above it, and then use bonemeal to create kelp. Doing this turns all of the flowing water blocks into normal water blocks. All you have to do then is use your bucket to collect the new water blocks, and you're golden.

You can do whatever you want with it at this point too, because you've essentially created water from nothing, which means there are no risks in messing about with it as you see fit.

Mythic WoW raid race cost one team over $93k, so far

The World of Warcraft Sepulcher of First Ones mythic run has concluded with a win for esports outfit Echo, but the WoW raid race cost for rival Team Liquid is high - around $93,000 USD at an early estimate, and the team isn't even finished yet.

The big race to finish the MMO game's Sepulcher of First Ones raid on mythic difficulty finally ended after a staggering 18 days. While Echo triumphed, fellow competitor Team Liquid was forced to pause its progress due to the players being "burnt to a crisp" - figuratively, we assume.

While Team Liquid's win went away, the cost of competing in such a gruelling race didn't. According to Veyloris on Twitter (via Icy Veins), the team spent roughly 723 million gold during the race. That's around 4,600 WoW tokens, which equates to $93,000 USD. Liquid is now in debt to the tune of 535 million gold, and it still hasn't completed the Sepulcher of First Ones raid on mythic just yet - so the number will be even higher when the team is done.

Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu and Yelan confirmed

Mihoyo has revealed that Genshin Impact's Kuki Shinobu and Yelan are coming to the anime game. The developer hasn't revealed when you'll get to wish on their banners, though recent history points to Genshin Impact's 2.7 update. Thankfully, there are some new titbits of character information to tide you over until then.

Kuki Shinobu is the deputy leader of the Arataki Gang, which may sound familiar if you remember leader Itto, who joined the free game last year. Mihoyo confirms that she's an electro character, though we can't distinguish what weapon she uses. Mihoyo also refers to Shinobu as the 'mender of tribulations', an amusing nod to some in-game messages that reveal how much time she spends running around after Itto. Spoiler: it's a lot.

Yelan, however, is more mysterious. While several teases point to Shinobu's existence, we've seen far fewer for Yelan. Mihoyo confirms that she works for the Ministry of Civil Affairs, though we know little else. "Yelan's identity has always been a mystery," Mihoyo says. "Like a phantom, she often appears in various guises at the centre of events and disappears before the storm stops." So, as we say, mysterious.

Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu banner release date

Looking for the Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu banner release date? Following the discovery of a reference to Kuki Shinobi in Genshin Impact's game files, players are eagerly waiting for more information on this possible new Genshin Impact character.

Kuki Shinobu's banner release date isn't known yet, but there are few things we can say for certain now that she's been officially announced via the Genshin Impact twitter account. We know she's an electro character, for example, and the current rumours suggest she will be a new four-star character coming in a future Genshin Impact banner.

Kuki Shinobu - previously known as Kuki Ninja - is mentioned in-game in a couple of voice lines from Sayu and Arataki Itto. She's the deputy of the Arataki gang, and was first introduced in Itto's official announcement tweet - in which she implores us to contact her if we discover "any inappropriate behaviour on the part of our boss, Arataki Itto." Beyond that, there isn't much information yet - but we'll update this guide as soon as we know more. Here's everything we know about Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Yelan banner release date

Want to know about the Yelan banner release date in Genshin Impact? Yelan has appeared in the game files since the 2.0 update, but not much else has been revealed about this new Genshin Impact character until recently. Her datamined profile has her listed under the 'tall woman' model, and other rumours point to her being an hydro bow user.

While the Yelan banner release date isn't known, some of the rumours have been cleared up at least. A post on the official Genshin Impact Twitter account formally revealed the character towards the end of March 2022, just before the Genshin Impact 2.6 release date.

We got a character art poster and some minor details, including the fact that she's a hydro disciple. The only thing not confirmed yet is what kind of weapon she uses, but a bow is still the leading rumour right now thanks to a leak from Lumie earlier this year. Here's everything we know about Yelan in Genshin Impact so far, including her abilities and her banner release date.

Interview: Preparing Echoes of Mana and Its Characters

It is a very good time to be a Mana series fan. In addition to new games appearing worldwide, older entries are getting remakes and remasters. In some cases, we're even seeing them for the first time. The next big project? The Echoes of Mana mobile game that includes original and returning characters. To better understand how it works and what people can expect, Siliconera spoke with Producer Akira Haruta about the project.

Jenni Lada: How long has Echoes of Mana been in development, and how did the COVID-19 pandemic influence its progress?

Akira Haruta: Echoes of Mana has been in development for about 3 years. While maintaining communication was difficult at times due to the pandemic, it did not affect our development progress.

Which Mana games most influenced Echoes of Mana's characters, combat, and stories?

Haruta: This is a title with an all-star character roster, so the characters and story are influenced by all of the games. For combat, we did reference Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana, and Legend of Mana, all of which have 2D action just like this game.

How did you decide which Mana characters should show up in Echoes of Mana at launch?

Haruta: As mentioned earlier, since this is a game with an all-star character roster, we tried to feature characters from many different games across the series. You'll also be able to use enemy characters from past titles as playable characters, such as the Dark Lord. You'll see that we've made great effort to offer a well-balanced selection of characters that includes enemies as well.

However, there are also many characters we still want to include but haven't been able to yet, so we plan to keep adding them through future updates.

Echoes of Mana is a title that will have both original content and returning worlds, monsters, and characters. How did you create it in a way that ensure what is new fits in with what is old? Did you encounter any challenges while doing so?

Haruta: Regardless of whether they were original characters or returning characters, we were always conscious of each character's personality and characteristics. For example, if rough-around-the-edges Duran and kind-hearted Randi were to meet, would they become friends? Or would they fight? We thought about how things would unfold based on their individual characteristics.

What will the gacha rates look like for Echoes of Mana and how will you keep the free and paid elements balanced?

Haruta: While we won't be announcing specific drop rates until release, what we can say is that you can obtain characters as well as equipment called "Memory Gems" through the gacha summons, and you can also obtain some of the characters and Memory Gems as rewards for progressing through the story, or through in-game events. So, I think you'll find that you can enjoy the game without having to make in-
game purchases.

Of course, we'll also be distributing Spirit Crystals, which you can use for summons, as rewards, through login bonuses, and more.

What kinds of events do you have in mind for Echoes of Mana?

Haruta: Events that allow you to obtain lots of rewards to help you power up your characters, and more.

How do you think Echoes of Mana and its development could influence future Mana games?

Haruta: I would love for it to become a place for Mana fans to gather. Whether they're someone who has played Mana games in the past and tries out Echoes of Mana, or they're someone completely new to the series and plays the previous Mana games afterwards, ultimately, I hope Echoes of Mana will become a place where both new and old fans can enjoy the game together.

Since this is a game with an all-star character roster, and it's a mobile game that can easily be picked up and played at any time, I sincerely hope that it can becomes a special place for Mana fans to come together.

Echoes of Mana will come to Android and Apple iOS devices. Pre-registration is now open.

Take a Closer Look at Ash Crimson's KOF XV Clothes and Nails

Since KOF XV launched, SNK's shared concept art for characters. In many cases, the detail covers elements of their costumes that aren't clearly visible in-game. The latest one takes a closer look at Ash Crimson's apparel and details in KOF XV. It even shows exactly how his nail polish is done for his manicure.

Here's the exact design document. Since we only see him with his coat on in-game, it shows that he is wearing a plain black shirt underneath. His jacket's insignia is more clearly defined. There's also a belt comparison.

In the upper left, it shows the exact designs on each of Ash Crimson's fingernails. It starts with the thumb on the left, then looks at the index finger, middle finger, and ring finger. It ends with a look at his pinky nail design on the far right.

The King of Fighters XV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Past pieces of concept art looked at characters like Isla and Athena.

JRPG One Piece Odyssey is coming to PC

A One Piece JRPG game is in the works at Bandai Namco, and don't fret - there's a One Piece Odyssey PC release via Steam on the cards, too. The anime game is due out this year and it features "new character and monster designs" by One Piece's creator, alongside music from the composer of Dark Souls.

One Piece Odyssey is a new RPG game from developer ILCA Inc. - which co-developed games such as Nier Automata and Replicant, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Dragon Quest XI, and Code Vein.

You can even use water to help automate farming too, so there's really no shortage of uses for water in the chill building game.

Best Warzone Pacific guns: the top weapons for Season 2 Reloaded

Want to know what the best Warzone Pacific guns are? Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded has completely changed the battle royale game by unifying the Vanguard Royale and Battle Royale playlists together. This means players no longer have to use Vanguard weapons if they own any of the guns from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War. Rebirth Island has also gone through radical changes, adding new areas to encourage players to explore the map.

Picking out the best Call of Duty Warzone Pacific weapons can be difficult, especially with over 100 different options to pick from across three games. The latest weapons added to the FPS game are usually underpowered to avoid them dominating the meta early on, but we highly recommend unlocking every weapon as early as possible. Occasionally there's one or two weapons that manage to launch with completely broken stats, so it's worth keeping an eye on this page to find out which guns are currently performing well.

Warzone Pacific is surprisingly well balanced these days, but there's always going to be a few outliers that manage to outperform the rest of the guns in their weapon type. Here's everything you need to pick the best Warzone Pacific guns.

Intel prepares to launch its fastest Alder Lake CPU yet

There'll soon be a new contender in town gunning for the title of best gaming CPU, as Intel prepares to launch its fastest Alder Lake processor to date: the Core i9-12900KS. Now, the company has today announced plans to ship its new flagship chip to customers on April 5 for $739 USD.

Intel will show off the Core i9-12900KS during its upcoming 'Talking Tech' livestream, also set in for April 5, in which industry experts will build four gaming PCs as well as "talk about the 12th Gen processor family features and its newest member." It's unclear what features the company plans to focus on, but it's likely that we'll get to see its new top-tier chip in action.

The Core i9-12900KS boasts an astoundingly high 5.5GHz maximum clock speed on its eight performance cores, which could help significantly boost fps even higher in videogames with processor-related bottlenecks. It'll undoubtedly be a great choice for esports titles like Apex Legends or Valorant, allowing your system to maintain consistently high frame rates and make the most out of the best gaming monitors' high refresh rates.

It looks like a Fortnite PvE battle event is coming

It seems like some sort of Fortnite PvE battle event is coming as part of the Chapter 3 Season 2 "resistance" push. The Fortnite leak suggests that players will soon have to fight to defend certain locations on the map against NPC soldiers, perhaps in a similar fashion to the Sideways Encounters of last season.

The current theme of the battle royale game's new season is fighting back against the attacking Imagined Order forces, with multiple blimps covering the sky and tanks causing havoc for most players. The map itself shows areas occupied by the IO and The Seven's resistance, but there hasn't been much movement in those battle lines since the season began.

Thanks to a glitch spotted on Reddit, and confirmed by Fortnite leakers such as iFireMonkey, it seems the fight will soon escalate and players will be tasked with defending or attacking specific map POIs - such as Tilted Towers or Spider-Man's Daily Bugle. The exact quest description is "help the Seven reclaim..." followed by a location.

Genshin Impact 2.6 release time – Ayato banner starts soon

The Genshin Impact 2.6 release time for the Zephyr of the Violet Garden update is nearly here, which means you can wish on the Ayato banner soon. The new kid on the block is the headline attraction of the next patch, though you've also got a Venti banner rerun to look forward to alongside a new area called the Chasm to explore. While that's all exciting, you'll want to do some preparation to play the anime game's next update right away.

The Genshin Impact 2.6 release time is 8pm PST / 11pm EST on March 29, and 4am BST on March 30. Mihoyo expects maintenance to last for five hours when it begins at 3pm PST / 6pm EST / 11pm BST on March 29. As always, keep in mind that something unexpected may arise, though the developer is usually pretty punctual when releasing content when it says it will.

To make the wait easier, you'll get 60 primogems for every hour the servers are down, which adds up to 300 primogems. Better yet, Mihoyo will pay out the total amount regardless of whether the update is completed early or not.

This player's Elden Ring build is basically a mech suit

A player has made an Elden Ring build that's basically an overpowered mech suit, similar to the Iron Man Mark 1 armour from the first Marvel movie - no flight, but a lot of firepower. There are a lot of powerful Elden Ring builds out there, but this could be the maddest the RPG game has to offer.

The "mech" is the creation of Dark Souls YouTuber and self-proclaimed "meme person" Adam Barker, who recently moved to making videos on Elden Ring instead. In his latest video - which he posted with the comment "the new Armored Core looks good" - he creates a tall, stomping, heavily-armoured death machine and lets it loose on the Elden Ring multiplayer community.

As the video (below) illustrates, Barker loads his character up with the heaviest armour, several Physick potions to make them nearly unstoppable, and a ridiculous incantation that sends rocket-like blasts from out of the characters' eyes. They then go on a slow but destructive rampage against a load of unexpecting PvP invaders.

Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti GPU performance levels may disappoint

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will undoubtedly rank among the best graphics cards you can slot into your gaming PC, but its performance may not be a huge upgrade over the current GPU king. In fact, rumours suggest that the new flagship's fps improvements just about manage to hit double digit figures.

According to data captured by analysis tool CapFrameX (via Videocardz), the RTX 3090 Ti is only around "10% faster at 4K" than its predecessor, despite its higher 450W TDP compared to the 350W on the RTX 3090. While more performance is certainly nothing to be snuffed at, we still don't yet know one very important thing about Nvidia's new card: cost.

Retailers previously listed RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards for over $4,000 USD, but we could see Founders Edition models sell for much cheaper. In fact, Zed_Wang believes that Nvidia plans to set the GPU's MSRP at $1,499, matching the existing price for the RTX 3090.

     Vampire Survivors weapon evolution guide

Want to know how to evolve weapons in Vampire Survivors? This roguelite indie game is rapidly gaining in popularity, as players discover the sheer joy of walking around a forest or library, slaying an ever-growing encroaching horde of monsters that just want to be very close to you.

It's a relatively simple game to play, but mastering it and unlocking Vampire Survivors characters can get a little tricky if you don't spec into the correct build from the start. To evolve an item in Vampire Survivors, you must first level up a weapon to its maximum level, collect its linked item when it appears on the level up screen, then kill a boss monster and open the chest it leaves behind. Unfortunately, you only have a few slots for weapons and items, so you must choose carefully.

The items that synergise well with a weapon aren't necessarily the items you need to evolve them, so while you'll want to pick up the candelabrador if you have the garlic weapon, you also need a pummarola to power it up. To help you figure out which items to keep, we've put together a list of all the possible Vampire Survivors weapon evolutions and which items you need to pick up when you level up.

What is the current and next Genshin Impact banner?

Genshin Impact banners adhere to a pretty regular schedule. Each update arrives with a new banner that lasts around three weeks, and after it expires, it's followed by a second banner which also lasts roughly three weeks, at which point it's update time once again.

Wondering what the next Genshin Impact banner is? Even though we hear rumours of new Genshin Impact characters arriving in forthcoming updates, we won't know their exact release date until we know which banner they will be a part of, and whether it'll be the first or second banner in the update. Occasionally, banners don't stick to this schedule - most notably, update 1.3 had three two-week banners, so that Hu Tao's banner didn't cross over with the Chinese New Year.

Typically, each limited character banner - or Event Wish - contains a five-star character, and three four-star characters. There's also a Weapon banner - Epitome Invocation - which runs alongside each character banner, and features different weapons each time. Here's everything you need to know about the current and upcoming Genshin Impact banners.

How to unlock secret characters in Vampire Survivors

Want to know how to unlock secret characters in Vampire Survivors? When you start your first run you only have a handful of characters and a few weapons available. However, on each playthrough, more items, weapons, and characters unlock for you to use in future attempts.

These items are vital if you wish to use Vampire Survivor weapon evolutions to maximise a weapon's damage output. The game also locks new characters behind requirements, such as leveling up your gear to a certain threshold, finding items in a level, or slaying a quota of monsters.

Some of these unlock conditions are somewhat vague, so we thought we'd list how you can get all of the Vampire Survivors characters, weapons, items, and levels. We also have a cheat code that you need to type to get another hidden vampire slayer and steps to access a secret character that requires you to tinker with the game's code.

Genshin Impact 2.7 could feature a banner of a long-rumoured character

March 28, 2022 Mihoyo has confirmed Yelan and Kuki Shinobu for Genshin Impact.

It looks like a long-awaited Genshin Impact character called Yelan could be making her debut in update 2.7. So it goes with the anime game, future content leaks have once again surfaced. There are potential spoilers ahead in this story, so consider this your warning.

Twitter account Lumie shares that Yelan should be the first banner of Genshin Impact's 2.7 update and that she remains a five-star character. The gacha game's 2.6 update launches on March 30, so Yelan could be a while away yet. Mihoyo hasn't confirmed the leak at the time of writing, so bear that in mind. That said, The developer has been revealing characters one update early since last year, so Yelan could be unveiled sooner rather than later if the datamine is to be believed.

Lumie also shares that Kuki Shinobu will be the second new banner of patch 2.7. While Mihoyo hasn't confirmed this one either, Shinobu has already appeared in Genshin Impact. As we explain in our Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu guide, the four-star character is Arataki Itto's deputy. When Mihoyo revealed Itto last year, the developer fleshed out his character with quotes from Shinobu asking people to contact them if Itto got into trouble.

Genshin Impact new characters in the 2.6 update and beyond

Want to know about new Genshin Impact characters? Since its release in 2020, the addictive anime game has seen plenty of regular updates expanding on the game's content - and adding several new characters by way of limited time banners.

New Genshin Impact characters - according to Mihoyo's Genshin Impact roadmap - should release with every major update. If past experience is anything to go by, during each new patch there will be at least one new banner with a new Genshin Impact five-star character, and possibly new four-star characters included as well. That said, several new Genshin Impact characters have been added outside of this schedule, like Genshin Impact's Klee - so we could see new characters arrive unexpectedly, too.

Yae Miko is the most recent new character to arrive in the Genshin Impact 2.5 update, and we now know that Ayato has been confirmed as the new face for 2.6. There are also a few leaks and some datamined information concerning new characters that may appear in future Genshin Impact updates and beyond. However, until they're officially announced, these characters are not final and may be subject to changes.

League of Legends patch 12.6 notes – Hecarim nerfs, Anima Squad skins

The League of Legends updates are coming thick and fast. LoL patch 12.5 has hit the live server, introducing a wonderful selection of bee-inspired skins to the MOBA. Don't bee-lieve for one second, though, that's all we got. Riot has tweaked Master Yi and Seraphine with some solid changes, while several other LoL champs got some quality-of-life adjustments, too.

Now, though, it's time to look toward LoL patch 12.6. We're sticking with the animal theme this time around as the new Anima Squad skins have hit the PBE. If you've been out of the loop, a few champions - such as Vayne, Miss Fortune, and Jinx - are getting some punky skins themed around bats, bunnies, cats, and more. You can check out the in-game clips of these in action and their splash art in the skins section below.

We're a good bit into the patch cycle, so have a decent idea about what champion changes are coming our way. Keep checking in, though, as we'll keep this post regularly updated.

Survival game Sons of the Forest release date is delayed

Developer Endnight Games confirms a Sons of the Forest release date delay that pushes the anticipated horror survival game sequel to late 2022. The game, which is basically The Forest 2, will no longer release in May as planned.

Sons of the Forest is the follow-up to the survival-horror game The Forest, where the player is the survivor of a plane crash and has to stay alive in the mysterious titular forest, with creepy cannibals and starvation just a couple of the dangers in store. It sold really well, so it's no surprise that the team is working on a sequel.

Endnight Games hasn't said much about Sons of the Forest, other than a creepy teaser trailer that dropped alongside the announcement of a May 2022 release date. Unfortunately, the developer now says that this date was "overly ambitious" and the team won't be able to make it. Endnight confirms a delay for Sons of the Forest - it's still coming this year, but not until the spookier autumn time.

A player has beaten the LEGO games speedrun record, completing the first ten TT Games-developed action-adventure games in under 20 hours - including the first four LEGO Star Wars games, on the eve of the release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

In the speedrunning community, it's called the Grunt% challenge - a race to play through the first ten LEGO games created by TT Games/Traveller's Tales as quickly as possible. It's called the "grunt" challenge because these are all the LEGO games made without voice acting, where the characters only spoke in unintelligible grunts. The list includes most of the LEGO Star Wars games, including The Complete Saga - a remixed version of the first two games - and the open-world game Clone Wars.

Speedrunner Chimkin actually completed the challenge last year with 21 hours 15 minutes but decided to go back and try again. This time he broke his own record and completed all ten games in under 20 hours, with a final time of 19 hours and 33 minutes - a new world record for the Grunt% challenge.

Among Us servers down thanks to sabotage

Are Among Us servers down in the US and Europe? It seems so, as the social deduction multiplayer game is apparently under DDoS attack this weekend by hackers. Developer Innersloth is working on getting the servers back up but confirms - Among Us is sabotaged.

Among Us is one of the most recognisable indie games in the world and basically single-handedly popularised the social deduction game - including the part about the enemy team needing to sabotage key systems to sneakily take down the other players. Fortunately, Innersloth is taking the irony of Among Us itself being sabotaged with good humour.

As Innersloth reported on Friday, its servers in North America and Europe were hit by denial of service (DDoS) attacks - causing players to receive constant error messages when they tried to go online. Innersloth was forced to take Among Us offline to fix the problem, while jokingly complaining about having to work at the weekend (tell me about it).

There comes a point in a Vampire Survivors run when I know my build is good enough to go the distance, because the violence is so intense and colourful that my framerate grinds down into single digits. I like that point. To me, that's the real win; any minutes remaining before the actual end are a victory lap. Alas, this will change. The devs have laid out revised early access plans and, alongside loads of extra wizards and things, they're moving to a new engine with potentially a tenfold increase in performance. Booo?

I'm going to jerk back the curtain a little bit here, and I hope the devs will forgive me - it'll turn out okay, I promise! You see, since the pandemic happened everyone has discovered you can do hands-on game previews using remote streaming, provided all parties have a decent enough internet connection. It usually works very well, with the added benefit that I don't have to get on a plane anywhere. I had one of these for Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong last week, an upcoming thrillery-puzzley-investigation-RPG set in The World Of Darkness universe (aka all them vampy games), by Big Bad Wolf, who did The Council. For various reasons, however, my preview went terribly. But if it had gone well, I probably wouldn't be as excited for Swansong as I now am.

FromSoftware's games are filled with formidable foes, from notorious bosses like the Four Kings and Genichiro Ashina, to infamous regular enemies like Dark Souls' basilisks, or those sodding kite ninjas from Sekiro. Yet despite the presence of all these terrifying enemies, nothing sets me on edge in a FromSoft game like encountering a dog. The hideous hounds of Dark Souls and Bloodborne were bad enough, but Elden Ring takes canine combat to a whole other level.

The four-sided heroes of Patrick's Parabox and Wilmot's Warehouse would be great friends, I think. They both specialise in the placement and movement of boxes, and they both share the same cheery disposition. Sure, Patrick may not have the same pointy nose or cheeky smile of his mate Wilmot, but the way his eyes rove from side to side as he wiggles to the beat of Priscilla Snow's meditative and upbeat electronic soundtrack is surely a sign of someone who is truly in love with what they do.

If anything, I reckon Wilmot would be a wee bit jealous of Patrick. You see, in Patrick's line of work, his cubes contain multitudes, to misquote that famous Walt Whitman line. As long as they're resting against a hard surface, cubes can be packed into other cubes in Patrick's Parabox like a stack of matryoshka dolls. They can also be unpacked in the same way, allowing him to navigate the tight constraints of his respective puzzle arenas with surprising dexterity. It's like he's discovered the TARDIS of sokoban-style cube-pushing, if you will, and cor, just imagine what Wilmot could do with such technology. That warehouse would be immaculate.

FFXIV Ishgard Empyreum Housing District and Lottery System Detailed

With 6.1 bringing Ishgard Empyreum housing to FFXIV and a lottery system to get homes, Square Enix went over some things people can expect. In addition to going over the wards and looks of the new area, it also confirmed the price reduction system is being removed from the game and explained how people will buy homes going forward.

First, the FFXIV Ishgard Empyreum district will be designed to look like the region. So your homes will fit in with the location's motif. This only applies to the outside of a home. Folks who completed the Litany of Peace scenario quest and Ascending to Empyreum side quest can head to the area. Once there, they will find 24 main and 24 subdivision wards. That means there will be 48 wards total.

Next, the FFXIV housing lottery system will require people to enter lotteries for plots for a chance to buy them. Square Enix already went over this. However, as a reminder, each plot of land will be marked so you know if a private buyer or free company could purchase it. People who are a private buyer need to be a Grand Company second lieutenant and have a class at level 50. Free Companies need to have at least four members, a representative who's been around for at least 30 days and can make the purchase, and be at rank 6. Home World Transfers can get in the way of lottery periods. If you move, you can't participate until the next one. You also wouldn't get confirmation about winning or a refunds from any entries you filed before you moved. Land that is abandoned and emptied during a period will only go up for sale as a new plot for the next one.

Each FFXIV housing lottery will last about nine days. This can change, depending on scheduled maintenance. The first five real-time days will allow people to pay a deposit on a plot of land to enter a lottery. If you make a bid, you can't go back on it. The second four days let people confirm the deal if they won by revisiting the plot to "buy" it. Those relocating get around 15% of their old housing plot's value. (They currently get 30% ahead of 6.1.) If people don't get to the plot within four days, they get 50% of their deposit back and don't get the land. People who lose get their full deposit back.

Finally, there will be no more plot price reductions. After 6.1, land values will always remain the same. Before that, they would eventually cost less. This also ties in to the decreased relocation refund rate.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The 6.1 update will arrive in the middle of April 2022.

Ayato Banner and Venti Rerun Banner Include Yunjin, Xiangling, and Sucrose

Whenever a new Genshin Impact version arrives, it also means at least one new character wish will appear. When 2.6 shows up on March 30, 2022, both the Ayato Kamisato banner and Venti rerun banner will show up. To go along with that, miHoYo confirmed each banner will feature Yunjin, Xiangling, and Sucrose as their featured four-stars.

Both Sucrose and Xiangling showed up as Genshin Impact launch characters. Sucrose is an Anemo catalyst user, while Xiangling is a Pyro polearm wielder. Yunjin is a fairly recent addition to the cast. She's a Geo polearm user who showed up in December 2021.

As a refresher, Ayato is a new Genshin Impact five-star. He's a Hydro-type swordsman. Venti is a returning five-star archer who first debuted when the game launched on September 28, 2020.

We already know who will arrive after these two character banners disappear. On April 19, 2022, the Ayaka rerun banner will show up. She's a Cryo-type sword user who first appeared in July 2021. That's when the Genshin Impact 2.0 Inazuma update appeared.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development. The Ayato banner and Venti rerun will arrive on March 30, 2022 and run until April 19, 2022.

Eiichiro Oda Created One Piece Odyssey's Characters and Monsters

When Bandai Namco's One Piece JRPG was revealed, it was also confirmed series creator Eiichiro Oda would be involved. Now during a follow up interview with Producer Katsuaki Tsuzuki, more details came up. It turns out Oda created the One Piece Odyssey characters and monsters.

This came up in the initial trailer as well. Ahead of One Piece Odyssey's reveal, a message from Oda came up in which he said he designed its characters "like three years ago."

Here was Oda's full statement.

I thought to myself — wasn't it like 3 years ago when I designed the characters? Hahaha! But when I actualy saw the game… Wow! It felt like I was watching a movie! What incredible immersion!

Tsuzuki also elaborated on how the team wanted to be true to the source material. As such, Oda was consulted. Here is what he had to say about the project.

As I said before, this project's concept is the "epic adventure to experience the One Piece world. It was necessary to expand the accessible places for players and we wanted to be as true as possible to the original work. So we asked Mr. Oda for his advice and he designed the characters and monsters to vitalize the in-game One Piece world.

Here is the full Tsuzuki interview. It went over how the project got started and showed off more concept art for characters and locations Oda drew.

One Piece Odyssey will head to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022.

Uncle from another world

Many an "isekai" story features the protagonist going to another world, but relatively few deal with what happens when someone returns from another world. Uncle From Another World (a.k.a. Isekai Ojisan) aims to do just that. Originally a manga created by pseudonymous creator Hotondoshindeiru, Uncle From Another World is getting an anime adaptation, scheduled for a July premiere date in Japan.

The announcement comes courtesy of AnimeJapan 2022, and the official website for the show included a trailer.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZGuf4jqltQ

The trailer doesn't show much besides a conversation between Takafumi and his Uncle (simply called "Uncle"). Seventeen years ago, Uncle fell into a coma after being run over by a truck, but miraculously woke up one morning. Takafumi is assigned to stay with Uncle and help him get back on his feet. Complications arise when Takafumi learns that Uncle was actually transported to a fantastic alternate world during his coma, where he became a powerful hero with magical abilities. The pair decide to use Uncle's magical abilities to help cover their living expenses, while reintroducing him to the life he's missed, like the internet, smartphones, and the outcome of the late '90s console wars.

In the trailer, Takafumi asks Uncle what his friends in the other world were like, and Uncle remarks on the verbal abuse he received from one of his companions (shown to be a female elf). Takafumi realizes that the elf was just being tsundere. Unfortunately for Uncle, tsundere was a character concept that only really hit the pop culture mainstream around 2004, long after he had had departed to the other world.

Uncle From Another World features a number of familiar voice talents in the cast. Uncle is played by Takehito Koyasu (Dio in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Zeke from Attack on Titan), and Takafumi is played by Jun Fukuyama (Joker in Persona 5, Lelouche in Code Geass). Elf is played by Haruka Tomatsu (Haru in Persona 5, Asuna in Sword Art Online).

Other cast members not shown in the trailer are listed below.

  • Fujimiya - Mikako Komatsu (Xuanzang in Fate/Grand Order, Maki in Jujutsu Kaisen)
  • Mabel - Aoi Yuki (Pascal in NieR Automata, Hibiki in Symphogear)
  • Alicia - Aki Toyosaki (Yui in K-ON!, Justine and Caroline in Persona 5)

Uncle From Another World airs in July in Japan. International licenses have not yet been announced. The manga is published in English by Yen Press.

World of Den-On-Bu is a new NFT project from Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco has revealed a new NFT service platform titled World of Den-On-Bu. It worked with the blockchain-based content creator company Gaudiy to launch the music-themed NFT platform.

The press release noted that people could retweet specific posts on the @denonbu_world Twitter account for a chance to win serial codes containing the NFTs. People who have obtained the tokens will be able to listen to the Music Crystals on the platform. Bandai Namco will update the NFT platform regularly in the near future. Three VTubers from the Nijisanji group voiced characters from Teion International High School in the series' universe. Bandai Namco has also released manga and novel adaptations of the project, in addition to music releases and live performances.

The new Den-On-Bu platform joins the ever-growing list of NFT projects from Japanese game and anime companies. Konami held auctions for NFT featuring Castlevania art and music in January 2022. Tezuka Productions is also working on Astro Boy-themed NFT game cards.

Gundam Evolution Marasai Exia Trailer

Bandai Namco has released a new Gundam Evolution trailer, which gives viewers a glimpse into how Gundam Exia and the Mobile Suit Marasai will play. Both Exia and Marasai will be available to play during the scheduled closed network test for PC. The trailer also details what skills and weapons Gundam Exia and Marasai will have as part of their individual arsenals. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The Mobile Suit Marasai will have access to the Fedayeen Rifle and will be able to use the Sea Snake (Shock) skill. The video demonstrates how players can use the Fedayeen Rifle to take out targets from a distance. Meanwhile, the Sea Snake (Shock) skill can be thrown across the area to paralyze enemies for a short period of time.

However, Gundam Exia is more melee-focused. The main weapon for Exia will be the GN Beam Dagger, and its special skill is the Trans-Am system. That said, Exia is still capable of throwing projectiles at enemies. Additionally, Exia can dash long distances to attack enemy players with the GN Beam Dagger. Activating the Trans-Am system increases Exia's melee potential and allows for it to move with increased agility.

The Sky anime teaser shows off concept art such as backgrounds and characters, as well as some rough storyboards. The teaser does not mention if the project will be a series, a short, or a movie.

You can watch the Sky: Children of the Light animation project teaser below, as well as from the thatgamecompany YouTube channel:

While Sky: Children of the Light started out as a mobile game, thatgamecompany ported it to Nintendo Switch in June 2021. The game is open-world and focuses on social mechanics. Its premise is that the player explores a kingdom with a cape that allows them to fly. The various stages represent the stages of life. Because there is minimal plot in the game, it is unclear what the animation project will be about.

In other Sky news, the Season of Performance event will begin on April 11, 2022. During this event, you can unlock new aesthetic items and Friendship Expressions to perform on-stage. If you wish to perform music, the Season of Performance update will have a new instrument that will showcase the sustained notes effect. Lastly, the Shared Memories feature will unlock, in which players can capture gameplay moments as recorded messages and leave them for other players to see.

Sky: Children of the Light is available on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. More information on the Sky animation project will come out in the near future.
