The equivalent US deal isn't quite so enthusiastic with the price shears, though $200 to $143 is still a decent cut on a headset that's supremely comfortable and richer than most on powerful, bassy sound output. Good thing, then, it's going for cheap – or at, least cheaper – in the Amazon Spring Sale. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 25, 2025 8:12 AM ![]() Game development can be stressful, I'm sure you've heard. The director of fighting game series Tekken yesterday shared an anecdote about how wild that stress can get. Speaking about the release of Tekken 4 in 2001, director Katsuhiro Harada remembered it didn't perform as well as previous games. And the game's relatively weak reception (alongside a lack of support at Bandai Namco) sent his body into a spiral of ill-health from anxiety. "I was under so much stress at the time that I developed a mysterious condition where all the hair on the right side of my body fell out - just the right side," said the director in a post on Xitter. "Even the hair on my arms, eyebrows, and eyelashes disappeared." |

Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 25, 2025 7:37 AM ![]() Having spent a good chunk of this morning window-shopping SSDs, I'm prepared to point knowingly at the Samsung 990 and mouth "That one", thus crowning it as the best NVMe drive deal of the Amazon Spring Sale. Especially so, if you're concerned about the swelling storage footprint of contemporary games, as the sale is focusing on the most cavernous 2TB and 4TB capacities. The 990 Pro has popped up on RPS a few times, but if you're unfamiliar, this basically forms a triumvirate with the WD Black SN850x and the Crucial T500 as the three finest examples of game load-time cutting in the mainstream PCIe 4.0 SSD space. Newer PCIe 5.0 drives can just about edge them, but not to the degree that their far higher price is justified, and with some help from the sales that gap gets even wider. All three of these deals, in fact, drop the 990 Pro to its lowest pricing since at least last year's Black Friday. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 25, 2025 6:35 AM ![]() Amazon's Spring Sale is back, and upon first inspection, it's not looking like a vintage year. There are some discounts on quality PC gear, but a deals collapse has left them buried under forty thousand tonnes of overcomplicated toothbrushes and collagen peptide powders. So, so many collage peptide powders. I didn't know there was this much collagen on Earth. It's still my job – it is still my job, right? Okay just checking – to dig through the Paltrow-adjacent junk and yank out the good stuff, so let's start small with a few quid/bucks off one of my favourite Steam Deck docks. The JSAUX 6-in-1 Multifunctional Docking Station may have a clumsy name but it's a keen bit of accessory design, with the port-adorned central block (which acts as a stand in docked mode) able to detach and pull double duties as a portable USB-C hub. It's perfect for Steam Deck/Asus ROG Ally/Lenovo Legion Go/Zotac Zone etc. owners who want to keep employing that extra connectivity when taking their handheld away from home, and the Spring Sale has chipped the already-aggressive price down to £38 / $31. |

A new collab is coming to Among Us featuring various iconic characters from the Like a Dragon, aka Yakuza, series. The collaboration is set to start on March 26, 2025, and it will run in-game until June 24, 2025.
Innersloth teased the upcoming collaboration by sharing a picture on a social media post in which silhouettes of the crewmates doing karaoke appeared to be dressed in cosplay and singing karaoke. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (RGG Studio) would later confirm the crossover by revealing the characters present in the image on its social media account.
The Like a Dragon character skins featured in the new Among Us collab include Kazuma Kiryu, Ichiban Kasuga, Tianyou Zhao, Taiga Saejima, various versions of Goro Majima including his classic design, his design from Yakuza 0, and his latest appearance as a pirate captian in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, as well as the lobster Nancy.
Furthermore, the latest showcase by RGG Studio included a music video of the famous "Bakamitai" Yakuza song performed by Kiryu Kazuma's voice actor Takaya Kuroda with the video featuring the Among Us crossover. The music video appears on minute 1:21 of the stream, and you can check it out here:
Innersloth has added various crossover characters to Among Us in the past including ones from Hololive, Ace Attorney, Untitled Goose Game, and Undertale. Additionally, the crewmates also appeared in other games like Balatro, with the most recent one being an appearance in the Switch exclusive title Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble.
Among Us is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and the Yakuza Like a Dragon crossover is on the way.

Cosmos Hotel Management announced that its Mimaru apartment hotels available across Japan will each have their Pokemon themed rooms renewed starting on July 1, 2025. People will be able to stay in rooms that have been decorated with over 100 Pokemon all around the area.
The company will update the official webpage—which is also available in English—with the new crossover wave details on April 21, 2025. The webpage so far shows the original collaboration in 2021, which took place in four Kyoto hotels, three Tokyo outlets, and the Osaka Namba North branch. This offers an idea of what to expect from the spots.
The Pokemon-themed rooms are still available at the above locations, unlike the temporary ones in hotels like Grand Hyatt Tokyo and Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach. However, Mimaru will gradually close them temporarily as a part of the renewal process. The new wave will add two new locations in Tokyo's Ikebukuro and Kinshicho, so it will be available at ten places in total.
Cosmos Hotel Management also shared preview images that show how the renewed Pokemon rooms will look:

The room interiors will not be the only elements that receive Pokemon-themed decoration. Mimaru will also prepare dining plates and drinking mugs with a Poke Ball design. The hotel will also provide a bonus amenity set consisting of a laundry bag, a pouch, a drawstring purse, and a set of stickers. It will allow people to bring the latter set home after checking out.

Before Atelier Yumia even launched, Koei Tecmo promised a patch that would address camera problems and other issues, and now there's a statement regarding the two priorities for the first update. It also included six other things that will be addressed eventually as well. As expected, the camera and usability fixes are first on the agenda.
While the first point in the announcement mentions camera, it also gets into Battle Results. In options, there will be Focus Camera and Skill Camera options, with more general in-battle adjustments also being applied. You can also turn "Show Battle Results" on or off.
In terms of the Atelier Yumia usability, the next patch will address Synthesis and Sprint concerns. You'll be able to either skip or fast forward through the animation before a synthesis by pressing one of two buttons. As for sprinting, the Controls section will include an option that lets you set it to automatically do so if you run, manually toggle that on or off, or a switch option that only makes Yumia sprint when you hold a button down.
As for future changes, here's the official list Gust and Koei Tecmo shared on the site:
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the first patch is in development ahead of additional updates.

Now that we know the 3.2 Honkai: Star Rail Special Program is this week, HoYoVerse confirmed that Hyacinthia, also known as Hyacine, will be one of the new playable characters in 3.3. She's also confirmed to be a five-star unit for that patch.
Like many of the Chrysos Heir characters we've seen so far, Hyacine will walk the path of Remembrance. Others include Aglaea and Castorice, as well as the Trailblazer. This means she'll fight alongside a Memosprite she summons. In this case, the official art shows it. It looks like a pegasus, though it could be a variant of a chimera due to her ties to them, and it is named Ika. Since she's known to work as a doctor, it's possible she could function as a support on the team who heals allies. However, when she does attack she will use Wind-based abilities.
If you went through The Awooo Firm event in 3.2, you'll be very familiar with Hyacine. She's the character who assists us as we manage a chimera squad and help guide them to glory so they become the best workers around. However, she also came up during the latest part of the story as well.
This means Hyacinthia will mark the sixth playable Chrysos Heir once the Hyacine unit debuts in Honkai: Star Rail. Things started with Aglaea in 3.0. In 3.1, Tribios and Meideimos (Mydei) debuted. 3.2 will feature Anaxagoras (Anaxa) and Castorice. We also know that Phainon will eventually debut, due to his prominent role in this part. However, we don't know when he or the other members of the group will debut yet.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The 3.2 showcase will appear on March 28, 2025. There's no exact release date for 3.3 yet.

Back in February 2025, Square Enix, Good Smile Company, and Freeing announced NieR Automata bunny girl figures of 2B and A2. Now, there's a release window and price for one of them. The Bunny version of 2B will debut in December 2025 in Japan, with a worldwide release following. She'll cost ¥39,600/$415.99.
The reason for the increased cost is that the 2B bunny girl figure is larger than most of the NieR Automata figures we've seen. She stands at over 19 inches tall, as she's 1/4 scale. That height includes the stands. She's locked into one pose, which features her in the black swimsuit, black fishnet stockings, black bolero, collar, gloves, bunny ears, and high heels.
However, there will be some customization options. She can be displayed with or without the black goggles that cover her eyes. So you can swap out face plates to change her look slightly.
Here's the default look for the figure:

Players who reach at least HR 50 will also be able to hunt Zoh Shia again and craft its weapons. They will also be able to take on a new Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, once it is added at the end of April 2025. As part of the Monster Hunter Wilds first free title update showcase, both free and paid DLC for the new game came up. The showcase didn't offer exact names for any of them, but it showed the cosmetics and additions in-action as Hunters used them in the world. Among the free ones will be the return of classic gestures, while the paid items will include cosmetics for Hunters and camp decorations. These should all show up on April 4, 2025.
First, the free DLC for Monster Hunter Wilds came up. Classic gestures will return. While these weren't named, they were shown. One featured a Hunter drinking a potion. Another resembled the "failure" collapse to the ground. Two others involved clapping motions. An outfit for Alma will show up too.
From there, the paid Monster Hunter Wilds DLC appeared. First, Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 content showed up. We got to see Hunter armor, a diadem someone can equip, two Seikret barding options, and a forehead tattoo from that add-on. Paid gestures will be part of it too, with ones for Hunters and Palicos included. Toward the end of the cosmetic segment, extra music appeared. Some of the tracks shown in this section were "Awakening - MHG Ver," "Pokke Village Theme MHG Ver," and "Yearning for the Secret Hot Spring - MHG Ver." Extra stickers will be added. The new Camp Gear items included a new bed, new grill, new chair, new lights, and camp fabric and roof items. There will also be charms and an outfit based on Alma's sold outside of the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1. It appears the piecemeal paid DLC will also include weapon skins and gestures.
You can see the DLC at the 17:24 mark in the showcase below:
Ahead of that, there are Event Quests you can take while waiting for the update. These include opportunities to get new cosmetic items or equipment to craft or materials.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the free and paid DLC will arrive alongside the free Title Update on April 4, 2025.

Nintendo updated its Nintendo Music app by adding tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. People who can access the app can now listen to music tracks from the game that launched on Nintendo Switch in 2022. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
A total of 23 tracks from the game are now available on the app. The list of tracks added includes the likes of "Welcome to the New World!" and "Ready to Go!"
Physical editions of the game's original soundtrack have been available since late 2024. In the digital Nintendo Music app, however, users can extend the tracks' durations up to 60 minutes. The mobile app will then use pretty much the same loop points as the ones used in the actual games.
Nintendo has been gradually adding soundtracks from its first-party games on the app. Prior to Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the company added tracks from titles like Splatoon 2, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus to Nintendo Music. However, access to the app is strictly limited to people who have a Nintendo Account with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is readily available worldwide on Nintendo Switch. The game's original soundtrack is also available in physical and digital formats; the latter accessible via the Nintendo Music app on Android and iOS mobile devices.

It's not difficult to see the thought process behind Warriors: Abyss. It feels like there's never been a better time for a game about a solo character taking on mobs of hundreds of enemies thanks to the smash success of Vampire Survivors. Take the classic Warriors brand of action, remove the strategic aspects, add some roguelite elements, crank up the spectacle, skew the camera just so, and you end up with Warriors: Abyss. It's a solid concept for a spin-off. Sure, it's pretty plainly biting off of Hades, but there are worse sources of inspiration.
Unfortunately, one area where it could have taken more notes from Hades was in its story and writing. The ruler of the underworld, Enma, has been stripped of most of his powers and monsters are running rampant. He summons some great heroes from the world of the living to help him out, and that's about the size of it. You'll get some short, vapid conversations here and there to progress the story, usually after defeating a boss for the first time. Sometimes you'll be prompted to respond by making a choice, but it doesn't really matter. But it's a dull story, and the writing is perfunctory at best.
![]()
The rest of Warriors: Abyss fares better. The ultimate roster of playable characters is massive, with a whopping 100 characters drawn from Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi available. Only a small handful are initially available, with the rest unlockable as you play. Generally speaking, they play similarly to their counterparts from the mainline games. There are familiar combos and Musou moves to use, and each has their own attributes and stats to consider. You'll want to be cautious about picking anyone too slow or flashy, as you're going to have to be on the move constantly.
Truthfully, there is considerable overlap in how some of the characters play. Sometimes it feels like the only thing separating certain characters is in what kind of fireworks their attacks give off. It's good in the sense that if you have a favorite you can stick with them and not worry too much that you're missing out. There are enough archetypes to deliver the needed variety, but don't expect 100 fully distinct mechanical builds. Still, unless you have an affection for particular names and faces, you might find the characters you're unlocking bleeding together more than would be ideal. Naturally, that also applies to the narrative. No one really has any personality to speak of here, so hopefully you've brought some head-canon in with you.
![]()
Anyway, after you pick your character it's time to get to business. You've got four levels of the underworld to deal with, each of which is made up of eight rooms. The last room will always be the boss battle, but otherwise you've got the usual roguelite choice of randomly-rolled situations. Sometimes you'll be given an extra mission on top of surviving the encounter. You might also have to face a particularly dangerous wave. There are also the usual breather rooms to partake of should you need it. Once in a while, as a treat, a little narrative situation will appear. You can make a choice that will give you some kind of upgrade or bonus, albeit sometimes at a cost.
When you're engaged in the regular battles, Warriors: Abyss is a lot of fun. The gameplay flows nicely, if more than a little chaotically. You've got the usual two Warriors attack buttons, an evasive dash with a cooldown, and a button you can use to trigger your Musou move when you've got a charge. Using this simple set of moves, you can activate a satisfying number of combos and devastating attacks. It feels good! I think that's the saving grace of Warriors: Abyss. The moment-to-moment gameplay evokes the joy of the mainline Warriors games, making you feel like a superhero as you thwack dozens of foes with each swipe.
![]()
Beyond that, you have a couple of other moves at your disposal. All those other characters you didn't choose are available as helpers that you can summon once you've formed a bond with them. Each room can potentially offer up another summoned character to join your team, and you can have six on the squad at once. These characters can synergize in different ways, and taking advantage of those synergies and bonds is the key to maximizing your survival.
These characters manifest during battles in two ways. First, you can summon one on a cooldown at the end of a combo chain. Second, once you've filled up a special gauge you can pull the proverbial trigger and bring out everyone for a short-lived mass assault. If you use a Musou move during these team-up attacks, things really get wild. Sure, avoiding all of the AoE spam can be obnoxious at times, but the hacking and the slashing is definitely on point here. In that sense, Warriors: Abyss is a good gateway into the roguelite genre for Warriors fans.
![]()
It's not all good, sadly. The boss battles are often the highlights of games like these, really showing off the nuances of a well-thought out combat system. It's the opposite case here. Despite taking on very different forms, all of the bosses here play out in a very similar fashion. The bosses have guard meters that you'll have to wear down and break before you can deal any real damage. Your window for whittling down their life bars is annoyingly short, and as soon as it closes you're back to dealing with the guard meter. The bosses also love to spam AoE attacks, and the cooldown on your evasive action works against you badly here. It's not so much challenging as it is exhausting.
Even players who can't get into the basic tactics required to beat the bosses will eventually overcome them. Like many other roguelites, you'll make some permanent progress with each run. You'll unlock new characters, gain permanent upgrades on existing ones, and sooner or later you'll hit the usual tipping point that is part of every game like this. When you hit it in Warriors: Abyss, the game practically melts in front of you. Sure, the bosses are still a slog, but you'll be whipping through the game without too much trouble. And don't worry. There are more difficult challenges to tackle beyond that.
![]()
One thing that very much belongs to Warriors: Abyss is in how it presents its many systems to the player. The bond system has a lot of complex aspects to it, with various formations and interactions. Your level-ups will give you the usual choice between a few different things to upgrade. You can learn how all of that works if you want, and it might even benefit you to do so. But as King Enma makes clear in the tutorial, you really don't have to. You'll see your power number whenever you have a choice to make, and will make clear which option makes that number bigger. Making that number bigger is almost always the best option. On top of that, you can even get Enma to recommend a load-out between each room. Again, you probably should.
I'm mixed on this. It certainly makes the game easier to just jump into and play, but it almost makes it feel too streamlined. Like all of this apparent complexity is sheer illusion, and perhaps it is. You at least have the choice to go against the grain and ignore Enma's help, but you're only making things harder on yourself if you do. I suppose it's all in service of getting to the action quicker. That's the game's strongest aspect, so I can understand leaning on it. For me, it came off a bit hollow, but I could easily see someone liking that the game offers options to cut through all of that.
![]()
In terms of presentation, Warriors: Abyss isn't exactly dressed to impress. The character models aren't especially impressive, and the enemies lack any real personality. The backdrops the battles take place in are repetitive and don't do what they could to evoke what could have been a very promising setting. Depending on the platform you're playing on you might also see some performance issues. Our review is based on the PC version running on a Steam Deck, and the experience wasn't too bad there for the most part. Switch owners in particular might want to do some extra research as the game is surprisingly demanding for what it's showing on the screen.
Warriors: Abyss at least sets down a solid foundation to work from, should Koei Tecmo have interest in doing so. It could have taken a lot more lessons from the better games in the roguelite space, but it's an enjoyable enough game by and large. With a better story, sharper writing, and more interesting bosses, I could easily recommend this even to those who aren't fans of the Warriors franchise. In its current form, Warriors: Abyss is not likely to impress those looking for another Hades-style time sink, but it should at least satisfy those who enjoy a good hack-and-slash.
Warriors: Abyss is currently available on Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC via Steam.

After seemingly finding its own final destination with its 2011 movie, the series about the wonderfully vengeful death (itself) is back with Final Destination Bloodlines. Warner Bros.' YouTube channel just released the first trailer, and it looks like this might be a return to the best days of the series.
There are a few things making me feel hopeful for this one. First off, the production values look tight, and the film is finally unbound from the awful Avatar-era need for death scenes that only ever look kinda good in 3D.
Also, it feels like the movie wants to build mind-boggling amounts of tension that will likely culminate in gory deaths, but gory deaths that could happen to anyone. The last three films in the series faltered, in my opinion, for not realizing the amount of fear this series managed to create in our minds for everyday objects and events, opting instead for absolutely ridiculous kills that also looked like crap.
Those last three films also veered away from tinkering with the formula. This time around, we're looking at a different concept: a bunch of people who are being hunted by death not because they survived death's first design but because they were never even supposed to exist as far as death is concerned.
Another good reason to look forward to Final Destination Bloodlines is Tony Todd, who shot all the scenes as the legendarily ominous William Bludworth before he passed away in 2024. Whether it turns out great or barely better than 2009's The Final Destination, Bloodlines is both a new and fitting closing chapter for Tony Todd's career.
Final Destination Bloodlines hits the theater on May 16.

Since Lego Fortnite's release, we've gotten new recipes to spice things up in the Odyssey world. The Recycler is among the latest builds of the March 2025 update, breathing new life into age-old items. Find out how to unlock, craft, and use the Recycler in Lego Fortnite Odyssey.
Table of contents
How to unlock the Recycler station recipe in Lego Fortnite Odyssey
To unlock the Recycler, you must craft or interact with the Stone Breaker. The Stone Breaker is one of the first recipes you can get in Lego Fortnite Odyssey, requiring 20 Planks and 35 Granite. Use wood at the Lumber Mill to gather planks. Granite can be found almost anywhere when interacting with rocks.
![]()
Once you've crafted the Stone Breaker, you'll receive a notification of the new Recycler recipe. This is one of the unique features of Lego Fortnite Odyssey, where you must first construct standard builds to unlock others.
How to craft Recycler in Lego Fortnite Odyssey
You can craft the Recyler with three Wooden Rods and four Granite Slabs. Use the Stone Crafter you just built/interacted with to gain Granite Slab. Then, you can utilize the Lumber Mill again for the Wooden Rods.
![]()
Set the Recycler down anywhere on your property, but make sure it's in a secure spot—because the last thing you need is the Storm King crashing in and wrecking everything you've worked for. Keep it safe, keep it smart.
How to use Recycler in Lego Fortnite Odyssey
The Recycler station transforms all your crafted items into the materials used in its recipe. Any unneeded Charms and weaponry can be placed inside the queue, which then goes to the processing area and Recycled Items. For example, if I placed a Granite Axe inside, it would give me some Granite Slab and Wood.
![]()
General resources, like wood, rune tomes, and or torches, won't work, as the Recycler only works with crafted builds. It's best to utilize this station for any weapons you've picked up from enemies. I've collected plenty of gear from these fights, so it'll definitely come in handy for you, too.

Everyone needs friends, including an, uh, entrepreneur like yourself. Schedule I is a unique take on the small genre of weird job simulators. Schedule 1 is a fun game, no doubt, but like all games, it's more fun with friends. Four of them, to be exact.
How to play Schedule I with friends
![]()
To add one to three friends to your Schedule I game, you need to add them as a friend on Steam. To do so, open your Friends page in your Steam account by hovering with the mouse over your name in the Steam software and selecting Friends. Then, press the green Add a friend button. There are multiple ways to invite someone to be your Steam friend, but you should be able to figure it out from there.
Once you've added a friend, all of you will need to be online before you can invite them to your game. If you can't see your friends in your list even though all of you are logged in, someone likely set their account status to Offline. To change that, click on the Steam button in the top left corner of the Steam desktop app and find the "Go Offline…" option. If you see it, you're already online. If it says "Go Online…" press the button, and you'll be visible to your Steam friends.
How many friends can you invite to a Schedule I game?
![]()
Currently, there is a limit of four players per game in Schedule I. That means that you can only host three other players at once in your game. It doesn't seem like the developer, TVGS, plans on adding native support for more than four players in the future, based on the official long-term development roadmap on Trello.
However, not all hope is lost yet. There used to be a popular multiplayer mod for Schedule I that allowed up to 20 users in the same game. The mod has been hidden by its author since it's not updated to match the current version of the game, but it might become available in the future. Even if it doesn't, I would be surprised if no one else takes over the job and makes a different multiplayer mod. Of course, even if that happens, the game is not optimized for a dozen or more players to run around the same tiny city. You're probably better off sticking to a small group of friends.

Rune Slayer recently had a sizable update, adding a new zone and a bunch of QoL features. Even though the level cap hasn't been raised, there are two new bosses: the Goblin King and the Dreadful Licht King. We'll tell you everything you need to know about them in this Goblin King and Dreadful Licht King Boss Guide.
Table of contents
Goblin King and Dreadful Licht King requirements
We highly recommend you fight these guys at max level. Even though the Goblin King isn't the toughest boss in the game, doing him at a level lower than 40 is just asking for trouble. Additionally, since this is endgame content, you're going to need a group. Join a Rune Slayer guild (or the official Discord Group) and look for like-minded players. Since this is new content, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a group.
Goblin King Guide in Rune Slayer - Location, Tips & Drops
![]()
The Goblin King is actually not that bad, when compared to other tougher bosses. You may not even need a full group to take down this mob. The only really tricky part is getting to it.

From Ashenshire, head Southeast to Greatwood Forest (like you were going to fight the Basilisk). At the first large tree, look to the left, and you should see a climbable mountain path leading you to a new zone. Head this way and you'll enter the Whithered Thicket.
Inside this zone, there are a few hills separated by a chasm. The Goblin King is at the very bottom of the chasm. Now, there is a normal way to get down, but we're not going to show that to you. Instead, we'll show you the shortcut that 90% of players take whenever they fight this boss. In the middle of the Whithered Thicket (where the Licht King quest NPC is), walk to the edge of the cliff near some skeletons (there should be a bridge with a hanging wine on your left). You need to drop down into the chasm. If you land correctly, you'll only lose about 80 - 90% of your health. Heal up, and head to the left where you'll drop again (but it's a much smaller drop this time) and you should be next to the Goblin King quest NPC. Accept the Quest (if you haven't already and head through the large door where the Goblin King is). Take a look at our images if you're having trouble finding him.
Goblin King Tips & Drops
![]()
The Goblin King isn't nearly as threatening as Mother Spider or Dire Bear. If you know what you need, you can probably beat him with only 3 players, maybe even less. Essentially, have one person tank the Goblin King while everyone else attacks him from the back. The Goblin King will attack with ground smash abilities occasionally; these need to be dodged. He can also summon smaller minions. Simply take them out quickly, and you should be good to go.
The Goblin King can drop the following items:
Licht King Guide in Rune Slayer - Location, Tips & Drops

Unlike the Goblin King, the Licht King is actually pretty tough. In fact, it can one-shot you pretty easily if you aren't careful. Definitely get a full party of players for this fight. Thankfully, getting to the Licht King is actually pretty easy.
Licht King Location in Rune Slayer
![]()
![]()
Take the same path as if you were going to see the Goblin King, but don't drop down the cliff. Instead, look around until you see a wall with green shapes around it. Head there, and head through the opened door at the base. Simply go straight while avoiding the acid pools, and you'll reach the Licht King.
Licht King Tips & Drops
![]()
Fighting the Licht King is pretty tricky. First of all, you can't even damage the Licht King unless you defeat his summoned skeletons, so make that a priority. Whenever he summons his skeletons, deal with them ASAP (they aren't too tough).
The second thing you should do is always be on the move. The Licht King shoots fireballs at random players, and these are known to one-shot you if you take too many hits. You can easily avoid these as long as you keep moving. Additionally, avoiding damage is pretty much mandatory if you want to avoid the party-wipe mechanic: Dread.
On the left side of your screen, you'll see a green Dread bar; each time one of the party members takes damage, the Dread bar will rise by a little bit. To lower it, you simply do damage to the Licht King or you avoid taking damage. If the bar fills up all the way, the Licht King will use an ability that will wipe the entire party (regardless of level or equipment).
Essentially, destroy the skeletons, avoid the fireballs, deal damage, and watch out for that Dread meter. It will likely take you a few tries, but once you learn the ropes, it will become a very manageable fight.
The Licht King can drop the same rings as the Goblin King (Merchant's Ring, Fighter's Ring, Paladin's Ring, and the Mana Cleaver Ring) as well as the following items:
That's all there is to it. Have fun fighting the new bosses in Rune Slayer. Did you know there are new races in the game now? Check out our Rune Slayer Race Tier list to see what's new.

Whoever owns a Steam Deck knows that the little Valve beast can handle mostly anything you throw at it, especially regarding emulating old consoles. But if you are looking for something more portable that is also more affordable, there are plenty of affordable emulation alternatives to the Steam Deck.
Let's take a look at the best ones.
What are the best cheap emulation alternatives to the Steam Deck?
Do keep in mind that consoles from China often get bundled with games in Chinese or Japanese, so you may need to provide your own games to play in English. All of these devices support SD cards, so it's possible.
Also, we only list safe devices. Avoid connecting any random device to your WiFi, as that might cause safety issues. Finally, while some of these devices support Bluetooth, it's unlikely that your wireless headphones or controllers will work. Wired alternatives likely will, however.
Anbernic RG35XX - the cheapest handheld worth your money
![]()
If you want to run games from the 8- and 16-bit eras, then the Anbernic RG35XX is a great choice. With a cost hovering around the $40 mark, this affordable little device has a pretty decent 3.5-inch screen and a rechargeable battery that should last you around six hours. This is a great device if you want to keep your emulation simple and easy.
The controls are not fantastic, but they work pretty well and should fit most games from the 80s and early 90s. While the device does support games up to the PSP era, the performance of 3D games won't exactly impress with this tiny device. You can also run Nintendo DS games with the Anbernic, but they will drain the battery quite quickly so it is not recommended to go beyond the 90s in terms of emulation.
Miyoo Mini Plus - an affordable and sturdy option
![]()
While the Miyoo is slightly more expensive than the Anbernic, with prices at around $70, it is well-built and features great, responsive buttons. Its interface is built around the Retroarch emulation frontend, which means it can run most things you throw at it without updating the firmware. You will need to download specific emulation cores, but the flexibility is easy to appreciate. As it is a tiny device, again, the specs won't make it possible to run any complicated 3D games on it.
The Mini Plus features a rechargeable battery as well, guaranteeing several hours of play on the go. As opposed to other Miyoo or Anbernic devices, we feel the Mini Plus nails that balance between portability and a big enough screen while still featuring a bright display and great controls. Weighing in at just 162 grams, you can really bring it with you anywhere you go.
Anbernic RG353PS - for those DS lovers
![]()
With a form factor that will immediately bring smiles to Super Nintendo lovers of old, the RG353PS is a superior device to the original RG35XX, featuring more CPU power and the ability to emulate more recent systems. Since it features a touchscreen, the RG353PS is the device to go for if you are looking to emulate games from the Nintendo DS era. They're not bad, even despite the single screen on this device.
As opposed to others on this list, the PS is slightly less portable. You can jam it into a pocket, if only barely. It's also one of the few devices on the market that ditches the usual "verticality" for a more horizontal look, with a more PSP/Vita vibe. By plugging it into a TV via the mini HDMI port, you can use it as a controller with your favorite emulated games as well. Costing around the $70 mark, this is a great compromise if you are looking to emulate games beyond the 8- and 16-bit eras without breaking the bank.
Retroid Pocket 3+ - the classic that never dies
![]()
The Retroid is one the first devices to cater to those who wanted emulation on the go and, since then, has been evolving and improving. It still often pops up on lists of favorite emulation devices since it's both affordable and sturdy. As opposed to other devices on this list, the Pocket 3+ is based on Android. It also has a touch screen, which makes navigating the Android 11-based system a simple affair.
You can swipe and tap in the standard Android launcher instead of relying on clunky directional controls or an analog stick to control the mouse pointer. The Pocket 3+ is slightly more expensive, but it makes that up with its fantastic screen and supports most consoles up to the 5th generation, making sure you can play most games without issues.
Still, the Android-OS means there is some configuration involved for each system you want to emulate. If you don't mind setting up emulators, the Pocket 3+ will be one of the best choices at its price point.
Powkiddy X55 - one of the most powerful devices
![]()
Probably one of the biggest devices on this list, but also one with the best specs. The X55 has a bright 1280x720 5.5-inch screen, plus 2GB of RAM and a fairly powerful processor underneath, meaning that it can run several recent games with no big issues. It's well set up for 3D, and the dual lever controls are very decent.
The price is under $70, so it's budget-friendly, too. But consider this as more of a stay-at-home device for the sofa since portability is not the name of the game here. Still, if people are lugging around the Deck, no reason you cannot bring your Powkiddy with you.
If you prefer a bigger device that is ready to emulate many more recent 3D games, the Powkiddy X55 has one of the best quality-to-price ratios you can find on the market.

Monster Hunter Wilds is all set to receive the first Title Update in April, and we have the information about what to expect.
In a detailed video on Twitch, Capcom has shared plenty of information about what to expect. For starters, all the new content will be available for free once the update goes live. Let's take a peek at what's set to arrive next month.
Table of contents
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 release date
The first title update for the game will go live worldwide on April 4. This is the first confirmation we've received on the day of the upcoming update. It will be available simultaneously across all platforms. All players have to do is download and install it once it's available for their respective platforms.
![]()
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 monsters
We already had a wide set of monsters available to us at launch, and the official list gets bigger as Mizutsune is all set to be added with the new title update. This information has been known for quite some time now, as Capcom has previously teased us about the creature. Hunters will be able to hunt the monster to farm a new ingredient that can be used to create its own armor set.
The chance to hunt Mizutsune will be available for all hunters with HR 21 or higher, while Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be part of an event quest in the future. Stronger than the Tempered variant, Hunters with HR 50 or above will be able to challenge it to get the Rey Dau Gamma and Feline Rey Dau Gamma armor sets.
Finally, Zoh Shia will be part of a quest that will be available once players reach HR 50 or above.
Monster Hunter Wilds Grand Hub
The Grand Hub is a new region coming to the game as part of the update. It will be a place for players to interact, and you can play Barrell Bowling to win valuable resources for your hunts. You can win Barrell Bowling tickets to play the minigame, and they can be earned using different methods.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 Arena Quests
Title Update 1 will have Arena Quests available for all players, and they can be accessed from the Expedition Board. You can compete with other players to take down the monsters in a limited time to get bragging rights and valuable items. You can also find free challenge quests in the wilds, which can be played with other players.
Monster Hunter Wilds Festival of Accord: Blossomdance
There will be a seasonal event taking place on April 23, which will celebrate the spirit of Spring. To commemorate the occasion, there will be seasonal quests and exclusive cosmetic rewards to unlock. The appearance of the Grand Hub will change based on the season being celebrated, and you can witness cosmetic changes based on that.

The last few months have seen some pretty great releases. Along with last year's Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and the recent Avowed, Rebellion's new survival first-person shooter, Atomfall, also looks like one to watch.
Taking place in 1957 in an alternative timeline, you'll get to explore, fight, craft, and scavenge your way through the British countryside. With the game officially coming out on March 27, we're just a couple of days away from setting our sights on the Sniper Elite studio's take on Northern England.
Of course, it is possible to play it early if you don't mind forking over a bit more cash. For you see, Atomfall comes in two flavors: Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. Can you guess which one affords you the privilege of early access?
What's in the Deluxe Edition of Atomfall?
Of course, two days to wait is nothing, but if you simply can't wait to jump into things, you can opt for the more expensive version of the game. According to the Atomfall website, the Deluxe Edition will get you the following:
Obviously, this will set you back a bit more than the vanilla version. On my end (being from the UK and everything), I see the Deluxe Edition is currently going for £64.99 (about $84). You can still get the basic supply bundle with the Standard Edition, but that's only if you pre-order it.
Those who have paid the extra to play the game a couple of days early seem to be having a good time so far. The Steam page is currently showing a review score of "Very Positive." Of course, we can't make hasty judgments just yet. The game's not properly out yet. Oh, and if you have an Xbox, Atomfall is coming to Game Pass on day one. Only the Standard Edition, though.

As part of patch 7.2, PVP players in Final Fantasy XIV now have access to a selection of role actions that can help turn the tide of battle. They're shared between classes in a role and have beneficial effects when used.
PVP is brutal at the best of times, and it always helps to have more actions in your arsenal to help you along the way. Headed into PvP Series 8, with all of its worthwhile rewards, these Role Actions are definitely going to come in handy! With their addition, a lot is about to change on the field of battle, but it's a good idea to know what each Role Action is capable of doing.
How to pick a PVP Role Action in FFXIV
![]()
To assign a Role Action, open up the Character menu and then select "PvP Profile" to open up the PvP menu. This can be done anywhere, at any time outside of duties. With the PvP menu open, navigate to the Role tab on the left-hand side, and you'll find Role Actions that apply to your current class.
Each role has a selection of three different Role Actions to choose from. Clicking on the action will choose that as your current active Role Action. At the bottom of the menu, there's a generic Role Action button that can be assigned to your Hotbar, making for easy use within any PvP match.
You don't need to worry about sticking to one Role Action, even if you're in an active PvP match. If you want to select a different Role Action during a match, simply return to the starting point (or die, if you want to take a shortcut) and then repeat the steps above to assign a new Role Action.
All PvP Role Actions and what they do
![]()
With three actions per role and five roles to play, there are 15 different Role Actions to choose from. That's a lot of information to suddenly be expected to remember, so here's the full breakdown for all actions.
Tank Role Actions
Healer Role Actions
Melee DPS Role Actions

VC is arguably the most valuable currency to find in WWE 2K25, and earning as much as you can will help you unlock new fighters and more.
The premium currency can be bought if you don't mind spending some money in microtransactions. However, there's a way to earn it as well if you're playing on console. This guide will jot down all the different ways to earn the premium currency.
Best ways to get VC in WWE 2K25
As I mentioned earlier, it's easier to get VC if you're using a current-gen console. Before I go through that process, the easiest way of getting VC without spending any money is to use codes. 2K routinely pushes out different codes, and here's our guide on all the ones that are currently available.
All codes don't necessarily gift you with VC. Some can land you with free cards to use in MyFaction, while others can be cosmetic items. In the end, all the codes can be redeemed free of charge, so it's a nice little advantage to exploit.
![]()
Earning VC is more manageable if you're on a current-gen console, as you have access to The Island mode. This mode is exclusively available on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S consoles, and completing a game will help to get a handy amount of VC.
![]()
While taking the number high costs some time, you will consistently make VC from every match that you complete. I wish I had the same privilege as console users, but the PC version doesn't have The Island mode available. Whether it will make its PC debut in the future remains to be seen.
Finally, the Bloodline/Deadman Editions offer bonus VC as part of the additional amount that you spend. If the amount isn't enough, you can also choose to spend real-life money and purchase VC. However, it's a spiral you should avoid at all costs — just stick to earning it organically if you can.

If you use the Final Fantasy XIV Launcher to start up your game, then you're used to seeing the chosen artwork in the background. However, one thing added as part of the 7.1 update is a new ability to customize your launcher to suit your tastes.
Are you a fan of G'raha? I mean, really, who isn't? Maybe you've got a soft spot for Erenville, and who could blame you? Well, now you can pick them to greet you whenever you open up the official Launcher to log in to Final Fantasy XIV. They're not the only options, of course, but it's nice that they are options among the current group of six.
How to change your background in the Final Fantasy XIV Launcher
![]()
To change your background in the FFXIV Launcher, open it up and input your log-in details, but don't press "Play". Instead, locate the cog button in the top right-hand side of the window, click it, and you'll be taken to the Config menu.
After the 7.1 update is live, there will be a new section underneath "Theme" where the possible backgrounds will show up. There are currently a total of six different designs that you can set to greet you:
The 7.2 update added five additional Launcher backgrounds to choose from, including the remainder to the Scions who were conspicuously missing from the first round of backgrounds:
To choose your background, click on the image you like and it will become surrounded by a green border with a green tick in the top right corner. Then, if you want to see your changes implemented right away, you'll need to exit the Launcher and re-open it. Either way, you're free to log in and get to playing.
![]()
You can also choose for the background to be different each time you log in, adding a nice element of surprise to your login experience. To do this, make sure that every image (or the ones that you like) is surrounded by the green border and ticked off. Then, each time you log in, you'll be greeted by someone different.
It's hard to tell if other backgrounds will be coming in future updates, but as we have the main characters now all present and accounted for, it seems unlikely that further characters could be added. Although having said that, we are missing Koana, so there is hope that he might be added as an option soon.

There were many new faces added in the new arc that Dawntrail brought to Final Fantasy XIV, but among them was a cute little vegetable who quickly managed to steal hearts — The Cornservant. He feeds the poor, and now he's back for more.
Patch 7.2 adds a single new Cornservant quest to complete, and doing so will reward you with a particularly bizarre new little friend to follow you around on your adventures. The Deathservant has strange tastes, and while it's definitely odd, it's also charming in its own weird little way.
How to get the Deathservant minion in FFXIV
![]()
Before you can even consider getting the Deathservant minion, you'll need to complete every other Cornservant quest from patch 7.0. This is easier said than done, with each quest being tied to a different part of the MSQ, but don't worry; we've got you covered with a complete guide to all Cornservant quests.
Once you've completed that checklist of fun little quests and fallen head over heels in love with the sentient corn, you can then head to Tuliyollal and find him perched at the end of the dock to the east of Aunt Tii's Tacos (X:16.4, Y:12.8) to pick up the level 100 quest "When Death Comes to Dinner".
![]()
Once you've talked to him and discussed recent events, you'll need to talk to him again to have him accompany you. Head up to the Bayside Bevy (X:15.5, Y:12.1) and talk to the Cornservant again, but make sure to stop in any discussion spots along the way to revisit the people you helped in previous quests.
Upon discovering the Pelupelu, who is the source of the rumblings heard by the Cornservant, and discovering that they have some particularly macabre cravings, the Cornservant will call out the demon possessing the innocent Pelupelu, and you'll get your first glimpse of the sentient blade that will come to be known as the Deathservant.
![]()
You'll be given two options — slay it or feed it. It doesn't matter which option you choose, you're going to end up adopting the Deathservant for yourself, hoping that the blood of your enemies is enough to quench its taste for death. As it happens, we have a lot of enemies, so this bizarre little friend is in good hands.
Once the cutscene is over, talk to the Deathservant nearby, and he will be yours, joining you on your travels moving forward. Just be careful. If you get sudden cravings for blood, at least you know the cause. You'll also get a serving of Tacos de Carne Asada for your troubles.

PVP rewards in Final Fantasy XIV are always sought after, and for the most part, they're time-limited, instilling a sense of fomo. For those who weren't able to get their hands on the Archfiend Set from series 1, way back in patch 6.1, I have good news — it's back.
The Archfiend Set was a particularly popular reward from PVP Series 1, which ran at the tail end of 2022. It's a universal set, so you can wear it on any class, even your crafters and gatherers, if you want to cook dinner while looking like you're dressed for the battle of a lifetime.
![]()
As part of patch 7.2, a few items earned during PVP series of the past have been added as items that can be purchased using Trophy Crystals, earned through playing PVP in the current series:
This is good news for anyone who missed out on level 25 of any of the previous series or those who simply weren't around at the time but like the look of the items now available. It's also potentially good news for anyone who missed out on any of the other previous series rewards because this is a good indication that they will eventually become available through other means.
![]()
They're not ludicrously expensive, either, so you'll be able to earn all of them in a single series if you dive into enough PVP matches or even if you simply take part in your one EXP boosted Frontlines Roulette every day.
Headed into PVP Series 8 with the implementation of patch 7.2, there are now a bunch of new rewards to work towards, and with the update to the Borderlands (Secure) Frontlines map, there are now many reasons to dive back into PVP within Final Fantasy XIV.

Every major patch in Final Fantasy XIV since patch 6.1 has added a new PVP series to play through, with unique rewards up for grabs for those who put in the hard work against their fellow players. Patch 7.2 introduces PVP Series 8, and adds new items to buy with Trophy Crystals.
As always, there are 30 basic Malmstone levels to work through, but you'll only need to complete 25 of them if you want to get all of the unique series 8 rewards. Climbing through the Malmstone levels will also provide you with much-needed Trophy Crystals, but more on how to spend those in just a little while.
How to get Series EXP in FFXIV
![]()
Series EXP is earned through playing PVP, and while you obviously get more when you win, you'll still be rewarded at least somewhat if you don't. The amount of Series EXP you need to increase a Malmstone level ranges between 2,000 (at level 1) to 10,000 (post-level 25).
Here's how much Series EXP you'll earn through playing the different types of PVP:
You'll also receive an additional 1,500 Series EXP each day for completing your Frontline Roulette, regardless of where you place.
Series 8 Malmstone rewards in Final Fantasy XIV
![]()
Although you'll gain 1,000 Trophy Crystals for most Malmstone levels you achieve, every five levels you'll get something potentially more worthwhile instead:
After claiming your level 25 reward, you'll then be able to endlessly hoard Trophy Crystals until Series 8 comes to an end, and trust me, you're going to need them.
Previous PVP rewards available for Trophy Crystals
![]()
With the implementation of patch 7.2 and the beginning of Series 8, some previous PVP Series rewards have been added to the selection of items available from the Crystal Quartermaster at Wolves' Den Pier. These were highly sought after at the time that they were rewards, and it's nice for people who missed out on them to have the chance to purchase them now.
Here are all of the new items added in exchange for Trophy Crystals, how much they cost, and what section you'll find them under:

Lost Pages are a type of collectible you can find all across different locations in Assassin's Creed Shadows. One of those locations is Honnoji Temple, which houses four Lost Pages that can be tricky to find.
If you want the extra Knowledge Point for finding all the Lost Pages at Honnoji Temple, keep reading.
All Lost Pages locations at Honnoji Temple in Assassin's Creed Shadows
Honnoji Temple is under the enemy's control in Assassin's Creed Shadows. This drastically differs from other temples on the map, which are usually friendly and you're not treated as a hostile when you enter its territory. At Honnoji Temple, though, there are guards everywhere and the temple grounds extend quite a ways, so you have a couple of factors working against you when finding the Lost Pages.
A good way to expedite securing the Lost Pages is to look for them when you're at Honnoji Temple for a main story mission in Assassin's Creed Shadows. About 8-10 hours in, you'll be tasked with a stealthy mission at the temple, making it the perfect time to look for the pages.
In any case, you can see the location of each Lost Page at Honnoji Temple below.
Honnoji Temple Lost Page #1
The first Lost Page is fairly easy to find. It's sitting on top of a rock in front of a Buddha statue in a garden. This is in the middle part of Honnoji Temple. If you open your map and look at the "Honnoji Temple" text, you can find the Lost Page directly to the north of those words, but not too far north. Look for a circular garden area where you'll find the Lost Page.
![]()
![]()
Honnoji Temple Lost Page #2
The second Honnoji Temple Lost Page is a little more difficult to find. For this one, you have to climb a small building in the southern area of the temple. It's directly south of the "Honnoji Temple" text on the map, on the right side of the road. The Lost Page is sitting on a wooden slab on the roof of the building, which is surrounded by enemies, so you might want to clear some of them before grabbing the page. The building is near a road and some bushes, though, so you have an easy getaway if need be.
![]()
![]()
Honnoji Temple Lost Page #3
The third Lost Page at Honnoji Temple is once again sitting on a wooden slab atop a roof. This time, the building you need to climb is located on the far northern side of the temple. Look for the "L" shaped building in the north part of the area, and you'll find where you need to go. At this building, head to the very center to find the wood slab with the Lost Page sitting on it.
![]()
![]()
Honnoji Temple Lost Page #4
Finally, the fourth and final Lost Page at Honnoji Temple is the most difficult to collect. It's underneath a house, which requires you to crawl through a tiny space. You can find this house on the eastern side of Honniji Temple, just southeast of the "L" shaped building where you found the third Lost Page. At this house, head around the sides of it until you see a space in the foundation where you can prone and go through it. After a couple of seconds of searching, you'll stumble upon the Lost Page sitting on the ground.
![]()
![]()
After finding the fourth Lost Page, you have successfully completed Honnoji Temple in Assassin's Creed Shadows. You're rewarded with a Knowledge Point, which is used to progress your Knowledge Rank and unlock more skills for Naoe and Yasuke.

Amagasaki Castle is one of the larger castles you will visit during the early game of Assassin's Creed Shadows. It has a tremendous number of guards, tons of different sections, and some pretty sweet rewards.
To cash in on those rewards you will need to fully complete Amagasaki Castle.
How to complete Amagasaki Castle in Assassin's Creed Shadows
![]()
Amagasaki Castle is located in the starting Izumu Settsu region in Assassin's Creed Shadows. It's found across the river north of your initial Hideout, directly east of Nisinomiya and southwest of Senri Hills. As soon as you hit land coming from the south, you'll likely be in Amagasaki.
The castle grounds in Amagasaki are massive. They stretch hundreds of meters in every direction. There are interconnected rivers that make up moats surrounding the different areas of the castle, making it difficult to navigate the grounds. Fortunately, you can enter Amagasaki Castle without alerting a guard by climbing on a tree and hopping over the wall on the eastern and western sides of the castle.
Once inside Amagaski Castle, you'll have the same mission as any other castle: eliminate all of the Samurai Daisho. The Samurai Daisho, marked with a warrior mask icon, are the enemies you need to kill to fully complete Amagaski Castle and gain access to its reward and XP bonus. Amagasaki Castle has a whopping five Samurai Daisho you need to kill before you can loot the rewards.
![]()
The enemies and Samurai Daisho at Amagasaki Castle are all around levels 9-10, so you need to ensure Naoe is around those levels before trying to take on the castle. Otherwise, you'll struggle immensely with trying to take down the Samurai. It should also be noted that you eventually have to come to Amagasaki Castle and fight with enemies as part of the main story. So you can always wait for that and complete the castle after that mission has occurred.
Inside Amagasaki Castle, the Samurai Daisho are spread out far from one another. My advice is to ascend the main castle at Amagasaki, unlock the fast travel point, and then go around the outskirts of the castle grounds using Eagle Vision. This allows you to mark red-outlined enemies and see where the Samurai Daisho are patrolling.
Unfortunately, the Samurai tend to move around quite a bit, so it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly where they are. In my experience, the Samurai Daisho were all located in different directions around the castle. You can see where they were in my playthrough below:
![]()
When you're looking for the Samurai Daisho, use your Eagle Vision and the "Observe" function to mark them, which is easily done once you find their distinct warrior mask icon. Just make your way around the castle grounds, continually marking enemies, and you'll eventually find all five of them.
As for killing the Samurai Daisho, you might not be able kill them with a single assassination attempt. In that case, you still want to try to assassinate them to bring down their HP and then engage in combat to finish the job. Try not to attack Samurai Daisho around other guards, as that'll make your job harder.
Once all five Samurai Daisho are dead at Amagasaki Castle, it's time to loot some rewards.
All rewards for completing Amagasaki Castle in Assassin's Creed Shadows
After taking out all five Samurai Daisho, make your way to the main castle at Amagasaki, the one with the fast travel point. Ascend to the top of the castle, but don't go to the fast travel point. Instead, find a floorboard on the roof, hop down inside, and loot the special chest in the room to unlock your rewards.
Inside the chest, you'll loot the following:
![]()
Once those rewards have been looted, it might be a good idea to descend the castle from the inside. There are plenty of chests, Hideout materials, and other loot waiting for you in the castle's various rooms. You'll also find some resources to smuggle on the bottom floor of the castle.
However, after the special rewards are yours, Amagasaki Castle is complete in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Osaka Castle is one of the larger enemy locations you can visit during the early part of Assassin's Creed Shadows. While the fortress might be intimidating, it holds some great rewards if you know how to complete the area.
Below, you can see how to complete Osaka Castle and all the rewards for doing so.
How to complete Osaka Castle in Assassin's Creed Shadows
First and foremost, Osaka Castle is located on the eastern side of Izumi Settsu, which is the starting region in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The castle is south of Katano and north of Sakai just along the river that runs through Izumi. As with other castles located around the map, you won't be able to just waltz your way through the front gate. The moment you step foot onto the castle grounds, you're treated as hostile, and guards posted at all major entrances will attack.
![]()
Luckily, Osaka Castle has trees that you climb on just outside of the fortress walls. Just using these trees and their branches, you can hop over the moat and the walls and jump down inside the fortress without alerting any guards. You could also try the brute force approach and kill some guards at a gate, but the decision is up to you.
Osaka Castle also features small settlements outside of the main castle grounds, which also have enemies patrolling the area. These settlements are all connected to one of the gates, so if you choose an aggressive route inside, you'll likely have to deal with several enemies.
Regardless of how you get inside, Osaka Castle is brimming with enemies, all around levels six to eight, and plenty of small rewards for you to grab. You can find locked buildings that contain resources to smuggle, extra Hideout materials, and loot chests. All of the small buildings that can be freely opened usually have some other loot chests as well that you can use to rack up some gear and Mon in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Your main goal in Osaka Castle, however, is to find and kill three Samurai Daisho. Samurai Daisho are higher-level enemies that have a distinct warrior mask icon above their heads. These special enemies need to be taken out if you want to open the unique chest that completes Osaka Castle and earns you the castle's special rewards.
![]()
At Osaka Castle, the Samurai Daisho are all level eight and feature pretty hefty armor and health bars, so you won't be able to kill them with a single assassination attempt. They're also usually around quite a fair amount of smaller guards, so you sometimes have to deal with several enemies while trying to kill a Samurai Daisho.
The three Samurai Daisho at Osaka Castle are located all around the castle grounds. They tend to move around a lot, so it can be difficult to know exactly where they're going to be at a given time.
The best way to locate Samurai Daisho is by using your Eagle Vision, which transforms your HUD into an infrared scanner that allows you to see red-outlined enemies through walls. Enemies who are in close proximity can be highlighted and marked as well as loot, which is indicated by white and gold dots.
To use Eagle Vision effectively, you want to climb up the tall Osaka Castle building that has a fast travel point on top of it. Unlock the fast travel point and then hop down a few floors to get a better view of the entire fortress. From here, use your Eagle Vision and mark any red-outlined enemies you see. Keep moving along the perimeter of the castle, using Eagle Vision to mark enemies. Make sure you look both inside and outside the main castle area, as there are enemies roaming the outside of the castle as well.
![]()
For me, the three Samurai Daisho at Osaka Castle were located in the following areas:
For you, though, the locations could slightly differ depending on where the Samurai Daisho have moved at a given time. Once you find a Samurai Daisho, you need to kill them as quickly as possible to ensure you don't start too big of a fight with other guards. Don't forget to loot the Samurai's bodies, as they usually have some Rations and other loot on them.
After all three Samurai Daisho are dead, you can claim the special rewards at Osaka Castle.
All rewards for completing Osaka Castle in Assassin's Creed Shadows
All castles in Assassin's Creed Shadows feature a special chest that can't be opened until you defeat all Samurai Daisho in the area.
This chest is located on the very top floor of the main castle and can be accessed through a board on the roof of the castle near the fast travel point. After going through the board, the chest can be opened in that room.
![]()
The chest rewards at Osaka Castle are the Peasant Clothes legendary light armor and the Assassination with Attack Engraving. However, you can also earn a plethora of smaller rewards by looting the smaller chests and resource stashes located around Osaka Castle and on the lower floors of the main castle, which you can access after opening the special Samurai chest.
Once Osaka Castle has been completed, you can move on to another location in Assassin's Creed Shadows or try to complete some main story quests to further advance your character.

Final Fantasy XIV is a truly expansive MMO. There are hundreds of hours of Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) content, and that's without counting side quests, content not related to the story, or duties outside of it. There's a whole world to get lost in, and it can seem a bit daunting, but it's not so bad if you break it down into manageable chunks.
Table of contents
A Realm Reborn
![]()
Between levels 1 and 15, you'll have different quests depending on where you start your journey. You'll need to complete 160 - 160 MSQ quests (Ul'dah gets one extra, for some reason) to get through the bulk of ARR.
As this is the first introduction to the world of FFXIV, I'll note down where to find each quest to help you along.
Starting City: Gridania
Classes: Lancer, Archer, Conjurer
City: Limsa Lominsa
Classes: Marauder, Arcanist
Starting city: Ul'dah
Starting classes: Gladiator, Pugilist, Thaumaturge
Levels 15 - 20
After this point, everyone will complete the same MSQ quests regardless of their starting city state or class. From this point, I've noted any duties that are unlocked through the MSQ.
When it comes to "The Company You Keep", you'll only complete one of the quests listed below and then a specific follow-up quest, depending on which Grand Company you choose to join.

Sonic fans have been frantic these last while because of an unofficial Sonic Unleashed PC port making the rounds. If one single person was able to bring the game over from Xbox 360 to PC, how come the company is not interested?
That may be seen as a symptom of the Japanese company's often complicated relationship with conversions. What happened over the years?
The 90s and the first Sonic ports by SEGA
There was a time, now quite far away, when Sega was very jealous of its properties, thus having little to no interest in converting their games to other platforms. This started to change after the mid-90s when Sega saw the potential for a new audience on a platform where there wasn't much competition for 2D platform games.
In 1996, Sega decided it was time to port some of their games over to PC, creating an internal division just for that. Called Sega PC, the team was headed by hardware expert Shun Arai. Their first ports were indeed Sonic games but, for some reason, they skipped games that people wanted (like Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2) and, instead, released a Sonic & Knuckles collection, with Sonic CD following soon. Excellent games, mind you, but why not start from the beginning? We might never have the answer to that.
![]()
The division ported quite a few classic Mega Drive / Genesis games on PC, such as Comix Zone, Virtua Cop, and Daytona USA. These ports ranged from okay to the bare minimum to get them running, and today they are probably better ignored if you are looking to run these games on PC. An emulator would probably give you less trouble and much more customization options. Not to mention the boxed versions are very expensive to get.
There were also some rather strange choices, like on Sega Smash Pack, released in 1997 which included classics such as Out Run and Golden Axe. So far so good, but not only the chosen Sonic game for that compilation was Sonic Spinball (why??) but The Revenge of Shinobi included was a Japanese prototype version.
![]()
Probably the crown of weird will have to go to the Sonic & Garfield Pack, a 1999 compilation disc featuring three Mega Drive games: Sonic & Knuckles collection (yep, again), Garfield Caught in the Act, and for some ungodly reason, the puzzle Baku Baku Animal. I am not sure what the lasagna-loving meme cat has to do with Sonic, but I am surprised he still hasn't made a loving cameo in any of the Sonic movies.
Sega PC continued working well until 2000, when the whole division was merged into the company Smilebit, known mostly for their quality Xbox and Dreamcast games until Sega officially disbanded the company in 2004.
SEGA and PC, the later confusing years
From 2005 until 2015, Sega was in a weird place with their PC ports, since many of their games would receive a PC version, but others seemed to be left out. Case in point Sonic Unleashed or the quite infamous Sonic 2006. Not to mention the several Wii-exclusive Sonic games that are still just stuck on that one platform and can't seem to get out.
Things get even weirder if one ventures outside of the Sonic games, with titles such as Toejam & Earl 3 that have been stuck on Xbox since 2007, or even appreciated sequels such as The House of the Dead 4 and Virtua Tennis 2. But hey, we did get Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg on PC in 2006...
![]()
Things started to change for good after 2016 when Sega apparently embraced the presence of Steam and started a successful relationship with the digital platform. Senior VP of commercial publishing John Clark, interviewed by PC Gamer in 2017, mentions how Sega's relationship with Steam was important for the company.
He also went on a strange tangent about needing "to make sure that they're good PC games, making sure that technically they really, really deliver what the community wants and for what the tech-savvy community wants on Steam".
Which sure, speaks to the fact that Sega would not want to deliver a shoddy PC port, bless them, but the problem remains that their selection of games to be ported on PC seemed to be a bit of random guessing. Or more like blindly throwing dirt at the wall to see what sticks. This changed with the success of the Yakuza series.
The Yakuza series and a new cycle
![]()
The growing popularity of the series formerly known as Yakuza made Sega realize there was a completely new audience on PC that they wanted to reach. From 2019 on, every title in the series was slowly but surely made available on PC.
While it might be hard to believe, it is possible today to play every title in the series on PC. Well, okay, not every title in the series. The weird survival horror spin-off Yakuza: Dead Souls is, sadly, still nowhere to be found, but hey, you can't win them all.
While the Like a Dragon series was lucky enough, no such luck for the Fist of the North Star series, where titles like 2018's Lost Paradise, developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku studio, remain a PlayStation 4 exclusive still today. Now, it would be easy to argue that it's not a necessary game at all, but it would still be nice to have the option.
![]()
And now, the big question: can you play the original Sonic the Hedegehog on digital platforms today? Yes, with Sonic Origins, which even includes the 8-bit versions. But the story is not as straightforward as it might seem. There used to be a Steam version of the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive classics that allowed users to buy individual games they wanted to emulate, but that was delisted in December 2024.
As for other Sega classic games, such as Golden Axe or Shinobi, the situation is quite muddy and, as of today, I don't think there's any digital version available on PC. It is possible to grab them on the Switch Online service, however.
Over the years, the porting efforts by Sega have surely been commendable, but it is hard to say what the company's plans are for their most famous series. With all the interest and money in retrogaming, one would think that their entire catalog would already be available digitally.
Still today, that's not the case. And Sega, let me end this by asking a very direct question, where is my port of the beautiful Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder?

With patch 7.2, Final Fantasy XIV players get a new round of four Arcadion fights to take part in, the Cruiserweight Tier. These fights are not for the faint of heart and will pit players' wits against some powerful enemies intent on coming out on top.
If you want to take on Dancing Green and his three pals, you'll need to complete the fights and quests of the AAC: Light-heavyweight Tier, including the level 100 quest "The Neoteric Witch". Then you can head to Solution 9 to dive back into the battles, and the story, of The Arcadion.
How to unlock AAC: Cruiserweight Tier in FFXIV
![]()
To begin the next round of Arcadion fights, you'll need to head to Solution 9, and then to The Arcadion Greenroom, which is accessed by traveling to the Arcadion or True Vue Aethernet Shards and then making your way to the east of the Solution 9 map. When you get there, speak to Yaana (X: 22.2, Y:16.6) to pick up the level 100 quest "Souls Under Siege".
This is the first quest in the Cruiserweight series and will introduce you to Dancing Green. To unlock the four different fights of the Cruiserweight Tier, you'll need to complete all of the following level 100 quests:
When you've completed the final fight, head back to Tritails Training and talk to Yaana again to wrap up this portion of the story. If you're planning to unlock the Savage versions of these raids when they drop on April 1, then you'll need to complete the above list of quests before you can do so.

After completing each battle, you'll be able to roll for Hologear tokens that can then be exchanged for iLvl 740 Cruiser gear. To exchange your Hologear tokens, talk to Hhihwi at the Nexus Arcade in Solution 9 (X:8.7, Y:13.4).
You'll only be able to roll on one Hologear token per Cruiserweight fight per week, so make sure you roll for the things you really want and be prepared to replay fights if you don't get what you rolled for the first time.
Here's how many Hologear tokens (and what type) you'll need for each type of gear:

Glamours have always been the true 'end goal' in Final Fantasy XIV, and when Dawntrail (7.0) was introduced, people were excited to see where the new story arc would take us. However, many were more excited for a QoL update — second dye channels in gear.
While new gear added in 7.0 and beyond would immediately have two dye slots, anything already in existence before that point joined a staggeringly long waiting list to get a second dye slot of its own. Now, with the implementation of the 7.2 patch on March 25, some of the best items in the game are getting their turn — Resistance Weapons.
Resistance Weapons were the relic weapons introduced during Shadowbringers, and were initially obtained through the completion of objectives in The Bozjan Southern Front and Zadnor. Since then, alternative ways to get them have been added, and they're now long-standing fan favorites among relics, likely only beaten out by Heavensward's Anima relics, which are much more difficult to get.
![]()
The usefulness of this second dye channel on the Resistance Weapons varies from weapon to weapon. I have a few (too many) Resistance Weapons and have tested what the second dye slot changes. Here's what I found on a selection.
On Blade's Mercy (White Mage), the second dye slot changes the color of the crystals and butterflies at the head and tail end of the staff:
![]()
Blade's Acumen (Summoner), however, is a less obvious change. I couldn't actually see a difference at first until I zoomed in and noticed that the small metal bar on the side of the book is the only thing that changes noticeably:
![]()
Blade's Subtlety (Ninja) uses this second dye slot to change the color of the handles, which is a nice and subtle way to make them your own:
![]()
Relic weapons are always sought after, and you'll always find people joining the grind to get their hands on them. They sparkle or glow, and post-patch, they're some of the best glamour weapons to be had. When the Mandervillious Weapons were introduced during Endwalker, fans were actually looking forward to the grind, but what they got was a basic Tomestone exchange that left the relics feeling not much like relics at all.
We already know that the relic grind is making a comeback when the Dawntrail relics are added as part of Occults Crescent on May 27 as part of patch 7.25, so the good old days of relic farming in the Party Finder are set to make a return, and future relics will always come with two dye channels as standard.

While it's not always easy to keep up-to-date, the fact that there are so many games being released all the time means we're living in a golden age of the industry. Even indie titles can make it in this cut-throat gaming world, but some seem to come out of nowhere.
Take Schedule 1 (stylized as "Schedule I"), for example. Having recently taken a quick look at Steam's Top Sellers list, I was anticipating seeing something like R.E.P.O. retain its position, or Atomfall to have seized the top spot. So I was surprised to see this new release has immediately shot to number two (which makes it the top release, just behind the Steam Deck).
Don't worry if you don't know what Schedule 1 is. I must admit, I wasn't aware of it until a couple of hours ago. It only released yesterday, but it's already getting some pretty good reviews on Steam.
So what actually is Schedule 1?
With its low-polygonal assets and cartoony visuals, you could be mistaken for thinking it was a somewhat cutesy indie game at first glance. However, I'll let the description on the Steam page fill you in:
It's essentially a sim game, but possibly for fans of Breaking Bad. It's clearly gained enough hype for it to hit the number two spot on Steam. In fact, when I checked earlier on, Schedule 1 had actually knocked the Steam Deck from the top position it so vehemently holds onto. Here's proof:
![]()
According to SteamDB, the game reached a concurrent player peak count of 68,662 within the last 24 hours. To put that into perspective, Avowed was showing just over 2,000 players in the same time frame.
Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean Schedule 1 is the next big thing. We've seen trends like this in the past, but it is interesting to see that small games from new studios can seemingly knock down some of the industry's biggest releases. For a brief period, at least.

The First Berserker: Khazan has a pretty unique take on the weapons you use, as they vary in type.
The game is now available in early access for those who own the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the global launch is coming up soon. This guide will help you master the concept of weapon types and find out which is best suited for your gameplay style.
Table of contents
All weapon types in The First Berserker: Khazan
Weapons come in three broad types.
Each weapon type will rely on different stats to scale its damage, so here's all the info on the different weapons and which stats suit them best.
Who should use Greatswords in The First Berserker: Khazan
![]()
Greatswords are the heaviest of the choices and do an absurd amount of damage. To scale up their damage, you'll need Strength and Proficiency. These heavy swords are great at dealing stagger damage and charged strikes. The range of the charged strikes covers a large radius, making Greatswords an excellent choice for dealing with mobs.
If you're someone who prefers to be patient with your attacks, Greatswords are a good pick. The heavy damage is countered by slow attack speed, so you can't go spamming attacks at will. Compared to the other weapon types, Greatswords have a limited range, so that's something to keep in mind.
Who should use Dual Wield in The First Berserker: Khazan
![]()
If you're a beginner, Dual Wield is an excellent choice to start your adventures. An extremely well-rounded weapon, Dual Wield weapons offer high attack speed, and allow you to chain multiple attacks. The typical Duel Wield skills will enable you to land combos, but they also have limited range. Dual Wield weapons' potential to chain attacks makes it easy for you to take down weaker enemies without giving them a chance to counter.
The power and potential of Dual Wield weapons scale up with Willpower and Strength.
Who should use Spears in The First Berserker: Khazan
Spears are arguably the hardest weapons to master, as they require a patient approach. Spears have excellent range, and you can use that to spam attacks from afar. However, you'll rely on making your enemies fatigued before finishing them off. You'll also have to master advanced concepts like stamina recovery in battles to make the most of Spears.
To scale up the power of Spears, you'll want to level up your Proficiency and Willpower stats. The first step is to level up as much as possible in the game, and our guide will help you get on top of it.

The v1.04 patch notes (Game Update 4) for MLB The Show 25 are now available, and they give insight into the upcoming changes.
The latest patch is the second major update released after the game's full launch on March 18. Based on the patch notes, the developers have focused on fixing some of the bugs that affected the player experience so far.
MLB The Show 25 Game Update 4 patch notes
The first set of changes are related to general aspects of the game, and they fixed specific incidents like thee Houston Astros and Washington Nationals City Connects uniforms bugging out in MLB The Show 25.
![]()
As far as gameplay is concerned, there's not much to discuss.
There are a few minor fixes for the Franchise, March to October, and Storyline modes.
Additionally, there are more fixes for general audio, video, and minor bugs across all available game modes. To read the full patch notes, click here.
One area of concern is the lack of gameplay updates or live balancing changes. There have been issues regarding some aspects of the gameplay, such as exit velocity. It remains to be seen if the problems get fixed in future updates.
One of the new features, that doesn't require a change, is Ambush Hitting. When timed correctly, it will provide you with a big advantage during batting. Make sure to check out our guide to learn more about how it works and what's the best way to master it.
