In truth, it's been coming. Both Messi and Ronaldo lost a certain spark after their 2021 moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United respectively, despite quality individual returns. The beginning of Mbappe's reign is likely to underline a year of pretty significant change among the top 100 rated players - though do note this doesn't include the FIFA 23 icons or FUT Heroes. Want to know more about the GTA 6 release date? Given how many years it takes to create open-world games of the same calibre as GTA V, it's no surprise that Rockstar Games has already spent years developing GTA 6. To plant my piratey flag up front, I am an extremely huge fan of the Monkey Island series, and am therefore almost exactly who Return To Monkey Island is aimed at. After several adventures with other devs, sometime-mighty pirate Guybrush Threepwood (a name that invites as many tedious jokes as Benedict Cumberbatch, which is a trap I won't be falling into) is back with his some of his original progenitors Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman - Gilbert being the director for the first two Islands Monkey.
I was expecting Return To Monkey Island to be a delightful croquembouche of point and click puzzles artfully piled up with puns and meta jokes, all slathered in the sticky, sugary caramel of nostalgia. And it is that. But I wasn't expecting it to contain a gentle rumination on getting old and figuring out what things are really worth caring about.

A new season of Jujutsu Kaisen is in development at animation studio MAPPA, which is also producing the Chainsaw Man adaptation. In fact, it released a new key visual for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 over the weekend. The reveal was delivered via the official series Twitter account and accompanied by an update to the show's official website.
Check out the key visual, which features characters Gojo Satoru, Shoko Ieri, and Geto Suguru.
For Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, the trio is dressed in the second-year uniforms of Jujutsu High School. The series returns to the air sometime in 2023, though an exact seasonal window hasn't been announced as of yet.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 was announced as in development in February 2022, following the success of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel film. The second season is expected to continue adapting the manga's story. In which case, the key visual indicates that the next storyline to be covered will cover the "Gojo's Past" arc. That'll follow Gojo through his second year at Jujutsu High, when he and Geto are assigned to escort a "Star Plasma Vessel" to Master Tengen. Along the way, they battle hostile groups of curse users.
The second season is also expected to cover the "Shibuya Incident" arc. Set in the present, the arc covers the attempts by an alliance between Geto and Mahito to seal away Gojo forever.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will debut in 2023. International licensing hasn't been determined yet, but Crunchyroll aired the first season. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film will also appear on Crunchyroll on September 21, 2022, in select regions.

Morio Kishimoto, Director of Sonic Frontiers, has explained in more detail what the Open Zone will mean for the player experience. While it will act in a similar vein to world maps from other platformer games, the Open Zone will also be entirely playable as a level, with stage-like elements. Because the open world itself is like a stage, Sonic Frontiers can maintain its speed for the whole game. [Thanks, IGN!]
World maps in platformers are usually the central hub where players can relax before they enter the next stage. But because the world map is a stage that you can freely explore, the team calls it an Open Zone. This is a combination of "open world" and "Zone," which is the name for worlds in Sonic. No one had done something quite like this before, which necessitated the team coming up with a new name. Kishimoto states that the Open Zone will be closer to the hub world in Super Mario 64. As well, the game will remain a platformer rather than an open world experience. Players can use platformer elements without the limitations of a stage or course.
However, what defines Sonic the Hedgehog is speed, and Kishimoto states that is what the Open Zone will encourage. Platformers make late-game stages more difficult than the earlier ones as the player becomes more used to the controls. This is also to extend a player's overall play time. But this can also bog down a player's "sense of speed," which is the opposite of what a Sonic game should be. The Open Zone will have a lot of content, so there is no need to increase the difficulty. This means that the Open Zone will have a uniform difficulty level throughout, with new challenges to keep players on their toes.
As Sega showed from past trailers, Sonic Frontiers will have puzzles and combat elements in the Open Zone. The puzzles will be optional for the most part, since the main focus is ultimately on speed. In total, the game should take 20 to 30 hours to complete for the average player. It will take longer for those who want to see everything the game has to offer. There will also be character progression in the forms of levels and a skill tree. You can even level up Sonic's speed to make him faster.
Sega also debuted a new trailer for the Tokyo Game Show, which you can check out below.
Sonic Frontiers will come out for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch on November 8, 2022.

My Dress-Up Darling, or Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru, will get a sequel. Shinichi Fukuda, the author of the manga, drew a picture to commemorate the sequel. There is also a short announcement trailer, though there it doesn't contain new footage. [Thanks, ANN!]
The first season is available for streaming on services such as Crunchyroll. It originally came out on Funimation, and there is an English dub available as well. In total, the first season has twelve episodes, and it aired in Japan from January 9 to March 27, 2022. You can also read the manga in Square Enix's Young Gangan, as well as in tankobon format.
My Dress-Up Darling follows the story of Wakana Gojo, a high school student who likes hina dolls (decorative dolls used for the Hinamatsuri and other occasions) and wants to become a craftsman. However, due to past experiences surrounding this hobby, he closed himself off, and is unable to make friends at school. One day, Marin Kitagawa, a fashion-forward, popular girl and Wakana's classmate, sees him using a sewing machine in secret, and asks if he can help her make costumes to use for cosplay. Though nervous to do so and unfamiliar with the world of fandom and cosplaying, Gojo agrees. Together they learn more about cosplaying and its subculture, and about each other.
My Dress-Up Darling season 2 is in development. Overseas broadcast plans have not yet been announced, but Crunchyroll aired the first season in the west.

Generally, when it comes to ARPGs like Diablo or Path of Exile, players spend the vast majority of their time in the endgame. For fans of the genre, the hours of grinding through a story campaign is just practice. The endgame is the reward, where dozens or hundreds more hours are spent min-maxing characters. Blizzard knows this and is preparing Diablo IV to have endearing endgame content right at launch — and it wants you to play some of it in a closed beta. However, it only plans on inviting those with a lot of previous Diablo endgame time under their plated belts. In a new blog post, Blizzard explains that the upcoming 'Closed End Game Beta' will only allow invites the the grind fiends. Those who have "recently spent significant amounts of time playing the end-game experiences of Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo III" are the only ones eligible for the invite. If you're a more casual ARPG enjoyer, then you're probably out of luck. Thos...

The fighting games genre has, traditionally, been notoriously hard to get into, and approaching a game like Tekken 7 seemed impossible for me. Sure, you can pick up a controller and start mashing away with friends, and it's a great way to enjoy a flashy spectacle. But players who have seen the hype of the biggest Evolution Championship Series (EVO) moments and incredible competitive plays know that there's a mountain of depth waiting to be discovered. Tapping into that depth requires more patience, learning, and determination than most players are willing to put in. Yet, those who can manage this for their chosen fighting game will find a deeper sense of satisfaction than in almost any other genre in the medium. Does that sound at all familiar? If it does, that's because you may be thinking of the Soulsborne genre pioneered by Japanese developer FromSoftware. Games like Dark Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring have become major successes, proving that some of the...

Developer Bounding Box Software's modern boomer shooter Prodeus has remained in Early Access since late 2020. Soon after its release, it became apparent that Prodeus more than succeeded at scratching players' classic first-person shooter itch, at least judging by the "overwhelmingly positive" user rating on Steam. Fortunately for Prodeus fans, the recent Realms Deep Showcase revealed that the game will finally leave its Early Access state and see a full release on September 23, only four days from now. The game costs $24.99 USD on Steam, but those who would rather save some money can pick it up on Game Pass instead. Although Prodeus boasts gameplay and pixelated visuals that harken back to 1990s first-person shooters, it still features plenty of touches and flourishes that you'd see in the AAA shooters of today. One of the game's more modern elements comes in the form of a dynamically-evolving soundtrack courtesy of Andrew Hulshult, the same co...

It's pretty much official at this point: the Yakuza name that was tied to Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios' brawler franchise is no more. Yakuza will be retitled to Like a Dragon in the West, much like how it's named over in Japan. The change is substantial, considering the franchise has been known as Yakuza in the West since 2006. However, Sega has reasons for the renaming. Not only does it now match the actual Japanese name, but it makes Like a Dragon: Ishin's Western release all the more possible. In an interview with IGN, the RGG Studio family head, Masayoshi Yokoyama, explained why Yakuza is getting retitled. And it's mostly due to the 2014 Ishin! spin-off. Basically, Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin is a spin-off game that takes place in 19th century Japan. There are certainly criminal factions, but no Yakuza. Releasing a game called Yakuza: Ishin!, containing no disco-suit wearing members of the Japanese criminal underworld, wouldn't work. "In [Yak...
