Gift Apologies for Umamusume Plush With Human Ears

Gift issued an apology in both English and Japanese for selling Umamusume: Pretty Derby plush toys of the character Vivlos in which she has human ears in addition to her normal horse ones. This happened at Comic Market 107 in December 2025, as well as the AmiAmi Akihabara Radio Kaikan Store. It confirmed refunds and exchanges are available until March 31st, 2026. The correct version of the plush will be released in May 2026.

Of course, Gift shared photos of the Vivlos Umamusume: Pretty Derby plush of her with human ears. The photo is a close-up, however. So we don't get to see what she looks like officially with both human ears and horse ears. The company also circled the ears on the photo, to show what shouldn't have been.

You can see a picture of the full plush as it should have appeared alongside the close-up of her with human ears below.

As for the return process, people who don't want an Umamusume Vivlos plush of her with extra human ears can choose either a refund or a replacement by emailing the official address at support@oh-ami.com. If someone isn't in Japan and had purchased the doll, they can only choose the exchange option. If someone gets a refund, they get 6,500円 back. With the exchange, the defective plush is returned and the new one will ship in May 2026.

Vivlos is pretty popular when it comes to Umamusume merchandise in Japan. Her and her sisters Cheval Grand and Verxina appeared as Sega crane game plush in August 2025.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is available for PCs and mobile devices, and the replacement Vivlos Gift plush will appear in May 2026.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Gets Marumofubiyori's Moppu

Sanrio and Sunblink confirmed the next mascot who will join Hello Kitty Island Adventure as a permanent character, and it is Moppu from Marumofubiyori. He is in the mobile version of the game on Apple Arcade via update 2.12. He will show up in the console and PC version too, though there's no release window for him yet there. However, all platforms will feature the Frosty Fashion Frenzy login event between January 15-26, 2026.

Moppu follows Cogimyun, who showed up in the Wheatflower Wonderland paid expansion, and he's a new free friend. You will need to have unlocked the Icy Peak area and completed certain story missions as a result to reach him. There seem to be new cabins in the area, and visiting him at his home will let you play a brick-breaking arcade minigame called Ice Breaker. There's a new cooking station for making snacks. We'll also be able to change our avatar appearance to look like bears. More furniture sets will appear in the patch, with those being called the Gamer Set and Moppu Cozy Set.

Here's the full Hello Kitty Island Adventure trailer showing what Moppu looks like in his Icy Peak home and the other new additions there, though it doesn't confirm appearances of the other Marumofubiyori characters Gyoniku or Kanikama yet.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVhjGqaDqmY

There are also some initial screenshots showing him off.

As for Frosty Fashion Frenzy, this will be the third year the event will run in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Each time, winter-themed clothing is doled out for free. These are Daily Rewards, so all you need to do is log in to get the extra items.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available for the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, PC, and Apple iOS devices via Apple Arcade, and the Marumofubiyori update with Moppu is live on mobile now and coming to other platforms.

Code Vein II Has Multiple Endings and New Game+

In an official PlayStation Blog interview, Code Vein II Producer Keita Iizuka and Director Hiroshi Yoshimura confirmed there are multiple endings to the game. There will also be a New Game+ option unlocked after beating the game for the first time. This will play into the fact that we will make choices as we play that can alter history.

Iizuka primarily spoke about the Code Vein II multiple endings. He noted that there will be times when our ally Lou will help us head into the past. The way the producer discussed it made it seem like maybe we won't need to start a new game to see a different possibility. Iizuka said, "When you intervene in the past and return to the present, relationships with characters or the world itself will change. The game has multiple endings, so even after reaching one ending, you can go back in time to alter it."

As for the Code Vein New Game+ option, we only have a few confirmed details about it. It does exist. The levels for characters will carry over. Keita Iizuka also mentioned "certain progress" will be maintained, but we don't know if that applies to abilities or equipment.

Part of the interview also reiterated that Code Vein II can be a standalone experience and a "new setting." Director Hiroshi Yoshimura did note some things will still be familiar and reference the first title. He mentioned, "That said, it's not an entirely separate world either; fans will notice familiar items, weapons, gifts, and other small callbacks scattered throughout the game."

Code Vein II will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on January 30, 2026, and the Character Creator Demo will debut on January 23, 2026.

rainbow-six-siege

Testing Grounds is now live in Rainbow Six Siege X, and it brings a new Armor and Speed system for players to enjoy.

Testing Grounds will be the experimental branch where Ubisoft will be trying out new features. The Armor and Speed system has been revamped, and the new one offers a lot more flexibility. Here's a quick explainer if you're confused, and how you can use the added features to get an edge.

How does the Testing Grounds Armor and Speed work in Rainbow Six Siege X

The Armor and Speed system has been a well-known mechanic. However, the new system available in Testing Grounds is different from the conventional option. You can enjoy far more variations when it comes to an operator. No longer will you be restricted to the old points system (1-3 or 2-2 or so on).

There are five new armor systems in place.

  • Light: 70 HP
  • Tactical: 90 HP
  • Medium: 110 HP
  • Heavy: 130 HP
  • Juggernaut: 150 HP

Every operator will be able to choose between different types of armor, but there's a catch.

  • Three Speeds: Light, Tactical, and Medium
  • Two Speeds: Tactical, Medium, and Heavy
  • One Speed: Medium, Heavy, and Juggenaut

This is an exciting situation. While you can change the loadout of a slower operator by sacrificing their health, there's a limitation. Let's take Montagne as an example. Montagne can equip the Medium, Heavy, and Juggernaut.

Montagne in Rainbow Six Siege
Image via Ubisoft

While you can sacrifice some of his health for additional mobility, you can't break his archetype. You can't sacrifice his health pool entirely to gain a lot of speed. The same also applies to operators who are already mobile. You can raise their health pool, but only to a certain extent.

Hence, you can tweak how fast or strong your operators are, but only till a limit. Ubisoft will be controlling the parameters, but the additional flexibility is a lot more refreshing. This is possible since Medium is the only type that can be used by all operators inside the game. However, there's no guarantee that the new Armor and Speed system will eventually make it to the open modes of Rainbow Six Siege X.

For now, you can enjoy the new system in Testing Grounds until it's over on Jan. 15.

Flea Market in My Winter Car

The Flea Market is one of the most important locations in My Winter Car, and its utility rises as you begin assembling the Corris Rivett.

The first project car inside the game requires you to get several parts. Some of these parts might turn out to be unusable if you choose to alter your plans later. Thankfully, the Flea Market not only allows you to get new parts but also to dump scraps for additional income.

Flea Market location in My Winter Car

The Flea Market is located in the northern part of the map. You'll want to head to the location marked as F (Red) in the image below.

My Winter Car map
Screenshot and remix by Destructoid

This spot is pretty close to your starting house, but it has set operational hours. You'll find the Flea market owner inside, who lives there and also runs daily operations. Head to the spot, and go inside the inspection building in Perajarvi.

How to buy and sell items in the Flea Market in My Winter Car

Buying the items from the Flea Market is relatively straightforward. The interesting part is the sales. Speak with the cashier, and locate the signboard near the register. First, purchase a Flea Market stall for 150 mk. Once done, find an empty shelf to place your items. Set a price, and wait for someone to buy it.

Interiors of the Flea Market
Image via Amistech Games

If you price your items correctly, you can make handy profits. If nobody is buying your products, reduce the price. You can also use your TV to find the market rates of different items. The market value changes routinely, so try to sell when the going rate for Scraps is high.

ARC Raiders rubber ducks

ARC Raiders' apparent cheater problem has warranted a response from the devs, and it appears that action is coming.

Not one multiplayer game is immune to hackers and cheaters. And in a game like ARC Raiders, where it's all about winning your fights to take home your loot, it's becoming prevalent with numerous hack providers popping up with cheats for things like aimbot, wallhack, and speed hacks.

ARC Raiders
Image via Embark Studios

"We've seen the discussion around the topic of cheaters in ARC Raiders," Embark Studios community manager Ossen said on the game's Discord. "Please know that we are taking this issue very seriously and are listening to, and acting on your feedback."

The topic of cheaters and hackers ramped up over the holiday season and into the beginning of the year, with streamers complaining about the subject a lot over the past few weeks. Shroud, Ninja, and Nadeshot are just a few who brought attention to the problem.

"Over the next few weeks, we are implementing significant changes to our rulesets and deploying new detection mechanisms to identify and remove cheaters," the studio said. "This includes updating our Anti-Cheat systems for improved detection and bans, as well as applying client-side fixes specifically addressing the 'out of map' glitch."

Embark's CEO Patrick Söderlund mentioned recently that the game will attempt to match you with those who play similarly, meaning if you engage in PvP more often, you will likely find others who do the same. This likely exacerbates the situation, and streamers like Nadeshot have been vocal about their experience of late.

"My experience on ARC Raiders over the last week has been hell," Nadeshot said in a post on X/Twitter. "Just to be clear, I love this game and think it's already moved in to my personal top 10 all time. But the egregious amount of cheating genuinely might be worse than peak Call of Duty. I'm not trying to bring negativity to the game because I know this type of dialogue can spread on socials like a disease but I genuinely cannot get through an entire raid without a Steam profile that is level 0 or an account that has multiple game bans and VAC bans on record."

Embark also mentioned it will be "introducing tools for streamers to help mitigate stream sniping" soon as well, so hopefully, problems like all of the above will come to a head soon.

Jose Fonte Time Warp card in FC 26

The Fountain of Youth Evolution is now live in FC 26, and this free upgrade allows you to improve two cards of your choice.

The free evolution is ideally meant for your defensive players. You can either use it on two separate cards or upgrade a single item twice. Let's look at the best candidates for this evolution based on the offered upgrades and requirements.

FC 26 Fountain of Youth Evolution requirements

Here are the requirements for Fountain of Youth Evolution in FC 26.

  • Overall: Max 85
  • PlayStyle: Max 10
  • PlayStyle+: Max 1
  • Not Rarity: World Tour Silver Stars
  • Not Position: GK

FC 26 Fountain of Youth Evolution upgrades

The Time Traveler has only two levels of upgrades. To obtain the boosts, you'll need to complete specific tasks.

Level 1 upgrades

  • Overall: +5|86
  • Acceleration: +50|88
  • Agility: +25|82
  • Balance: +25|82
  • Sprint Speed: +50|88
  • PlayStyles: Relentless|7

Level 2 upgrades

  • Stamina: +50|95
  • PlayStyles+: Relentless|1
  • PlayStyles: Quick Step|7

Level 1 upgrade requirements

  • Play 4 matches in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO Player in game.

Level 2 upgrade requirements

  • Play 3 matches in Squad Battles on min. Semi-Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO Player in game.

Best players for Fountain of Youth Evolution in FC 26

You can include a wide variety of items in this evolution. I have considered cards that will improve the most based on the offered upgrades. It's better to use the evolutions on two separate items (considering the upgraded stat caps).

  • Jose Fonte Time Warp
  • Acerbi
  • Jordan Henderson Captains
  • Matthias Ginter
  • Wendie Renard
  • Juan Jesus Thunderstruck
  • Calvo TOTW
  • Kirby Winter Wildcards
  • Emre Can

These are arguably some of the best options you can include in this evolution. Since they can't go above the overall of 86, you should be able to use the upgraded cards in more chains in the coming weeks.
