Dragon's Dogma 2 launches on most platforms on March 22, and I checked it out at a preview event in New York City. In his 2023 hands-on preview of the high-fantasy RPG, Kotaku senior reporter Ethan Gach said that it's "shaping up to have all the tools necessary to become the widely acclaimed hit it deserves to be"—and…
As my fearsome archer walks across a bustling sand-coated bazaar, my coin purse must be jingling, because countless town folk are vying for my attention. Nestled on a mountain top, this dust-coated medieval market city is abuzz with activity. A fully clothed, purring cat-man beckons me towards his stall, tail swaying…
The Pokémon-like is a popular subgenre of game, spawning successes like Palworld and Temtem—games that have toyed with the legendary franchise's monster-catching formula in multiplayer settings. However, though the former is fresher and seemingly built to be an ongoing service game, the latter is entering the end of…
Next month, the live-actionFallout TV show premieres and, seemingly in preparation for that, Xbox and Bethesda have released a new, customizable controller design that looks pretty dang swanky. However, it's going to cost you some extra caps compared to a standard custom Xbox controller.
Saints Row is trending on Steam after a 192.6% increase in players in the last 24 hours. The cheeky GTA clone has been dead in the water for some time now, but a huge discount on the main games has led to a spike in concurrent players for the first time in months.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when stepping into Dragon's Dogma 2's expansive world for a three-hour hands-on preview. With the cult classic 2012 original having landed a lifetime ago in videogame years, I wondered where this long-awaited sequel would sit among the modern greats like Elden Ring. Venturing into Vermund and Battahl, however, I was surprised and delighted to discover just how much Capcom's latest bucks almost every trope and trend of the genre.
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro isn't built with customization and hot swapping in mind. Instead, it's aimed at providing raw gaming performance and being the ideal companion for any gamer who takes their K/D ratio perhaps a little too seriously. Building upon a legacy of keyboards striving to be the best esports peripherals, the Huntsman V3 Pro delivers an ultra-fast response time but does very little beyond this to appeal to a wider audience.
Despite not breaking ground across all its features, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro is still one of the best gaming keyboards you can buy right now. If esports is at the core of your gaming interests, there are few keyboards that can compete for speed of response and customization of the way a keyboard's keys can be activated.
The underrated horror game The Medium is at its lowest-ever price on Steam right now. Giving it a spin at a whopping 60% off is well worth the risk. It might not be the most universally beloved spooky experience, but there's a lot here for narrative-first players to delve into, and its quirks make it stand out against similar games.
It has now been over a decade since the Tomb Raider franchise was revitalized for a new generation of gamers, as March 5, 2024, marks the 11th anniversary of 2013's Tomb Raider. The release reintroduced the iconic hero Lara Croft to fans in a gritty, compelling, survival story that stands tall among the series' many installments.
How do you format a Steam Deck SD card? With two Steam Deck models now available, the LCD and OLED, you might think the process for formatting a MicroSD card is different depending on which one you own. Thankfully, Valve resisted the temptation to pull this trickery and instead, the process is nice and simple on both handhelds.
With the ever-increasing storage demands of some of the best PC games, it's no wonder then why you'd want to buy one of the best microSD cards to give yourself that well-needed extra install space. However, before you can get to playing the best Steam Deck games, you have to format your Steam Deck SD card first.
It's a new month, which means a new set of games arriving on Microsoft's Game Pass subscription service. The arrivals begin today with stompy, old school shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and will continue before the advent of spring with the mechs-and-plants craft 'em up Lightyear Frontier and telekinetic adventure Control Ultimate Edition, among others.
Chivalry 2's latest update is called "Duel of the Fêtes", which makes me wish I could drop the chef's kiss emoji into RPS posts. It gets even better, though. Aside from adding new maps, "skill based team balancing", and quality-of-life improvements, the update also adds unofficial server support, for players who want to tweak game rules and party like it's 1999.
Meta keep emailing me to tell me my Oculus account is going to be deleted on March 29th. It's only today, seeing other people talking about it, that it occurs to me: this is not personal. Meta is perhaps going to delete your Oculus account on March 29th as well, if you have one.
You've got until that date to migrate your account, and if you don't you'll lose all your purchases.
Before I sat down to play three hours of Dragon's Dogma 2 at a Capcom event last month, I gave myself two broad objectives. The first was to discover if there's anything genuinely different about this undeniably enchanting but very familiar sequel to one of the happiest, barmiest action-RPGs of the past 20 years. The second was to royally screw myself by fielding a party consisting exclusively of magic-users.
In Dragon's Dogma 2 as in Dragon's Dogma 1, you lead a gang of up to three AI-controlled "pawn" characters – one permanent main sidekick who levels up alongside you, plus two auxiliary pawns created by other players, who are either summoned at Rift stones or spawned into the open world as hired help. As in most RPGs, the ideal party setup is a mix of pure melee, ranged and magical DPS or support classes, but given the whimsicality of Dragon's Dogma's sorcery, with its levitation spells and lightning whips, I've always wanted to try a whole playthrough as a posse of unescorted occultists.
It's been rumoured for a while that mechs were on their way to Helldivers 2, thanks to leaks and, y'know, official trailers. Well, now it's actually confirmed: the official Helldivers 2 Xwitter account shared today that they were "ready for deployment on the battlefield soon".
One of the most interesting features in Dragon's Dogma has always been its Vocations. These are effectively classes players can change at any given time upon heading to the Vocation Guild, where they can choose between melee, ranged, and magick classes. Naturally with Dragon's Dogma 2, Capcom expanded on this system with the addition of the Mystic Spearhand, an entirely new vocation that makes use of a spear. Having had the opportunity to give this role a spin, it is no doubt an interesting, if not unusual, addition to the game.
The Mystic Spearhand is more or less a "support" class that can provide beneficial effects for your party of Pawns. Pawns are AI controlled companion characters, with the player allowed to create their very own, recruit ones made by other players online, and pick up pre-created Pawns that roam the world. You can also change the appearance of your personal Pawn with the right item, so it was nice to learn that I wouldn't be locked into whatever I created during my initial foray with the character creator. (The same goes with the player character!)
I had roughly an hour and a half to spend with the Mystic Spearhand Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2, which gave me a taste of some of its skills. Outside of having a few gap closers, the role has an attack similar to a Dragoon Jump from the Final Fantasy series. But because Dragon's Dogma is a true action game, this makes combat feel more dynamic in comparison. This is a huge boon when fighting airborne enemies like griffons and the random dragons you will encounter while exploring the world map. I say this, because I absolutely did encounter a dragon while mistakenly wandering around at night.
While attempting to find the den of some wolves that dragged off a local boy into the wilderness, I was fighting a group of kobolds. It was then that I heard a booming voice speaking in some strange language break through the sound of combat. In an instant, a dragon was upon me. It was a lesser dragon by the look of it, but it was still a formidable opponent. Even as I used the Mystic Spearhand's abilities to shield both myself and my Pawns from waves of dragon fire, I felt the pressure. Using that aforementioned jump ability gave me the opportunity to mount the dragon, all without expending too much stamina. A well-timed jump landed me on the head of the dragon, where I could whittle away at its health while a Pawn took to driving its axe into its heart. You'd think that we'd have taken it down, but no matter how much I tried to chip away at the dragon's health, nothing happened. So I ended up absconding into the night to resume looking for the wolves as dawn broke.
I found the Mystic Spearhand's strengths to be in providing support to your Pawns, which puts the Vocation in a strange position in Dragon's Dogma 2. It feels like it was balanced for playing with actual players and not with Pawns, despite how much better their AI has gotten. I wonder how it will play out in later levels, what players will make of the class, and if they will rely on their Pawns for damage and assume the role of a hybrid DPS/support character. Overall, it was an interesting experience, as I would be sometimes dictating the flow of combat when we'd engage with the various enemies I encountered. These included kobolds, wolves, spirits and skeletons that appeared at night, and a large giant that lumbered down a hillside as I was exploring for crafting reagents.
While testing what the Mystic Spearhand could do, I was able to immerse myself in the world of Dragon's Dogma 2 for a second time, and I was impressed with just how organic it felt. While playing, I took a break to jot down some of my thoughts in a notebook. Suddenly, I heard an NPC address my character. They told me that they were looking for a specific object and, if I found it to give it back to them. This all happened while I had just been standing in town. Upon leaving the village to look for it, another NPC approached me, telling me that they were looking for the same object and I should give it to them instead. It felt extremely organic in the way that I obtained the quest. I was impressed, as it feels like Dragon's Dogma 2 will have plenty of secrets the players can discover. Certain quests are also timed, which means that you will want to clear some of those objectives as soon as you get them. There is a bit of leeway, but whether or not you complete quests in a timely fashion will have some consequences, which is cool.

Additionally, Dragon's Dogma 2 seems rich in texture when it comes to its worldbuilding. I explored two locales, one of which was a city ruled by the Beastrans. The city was decently sized in terms of scale, not overwhelming, but had a lot of really neat places to check out. This included a marketplace where I could change my Vocation, purchase equipment, and rest. I was also introduced to an NPC that intervened when I was singled out by the Beastrans for being an unwelcome outsider. There seemed to be a healthy variety of NPCs too, all ranging in their appearances as denoted by the announcement trailer of the game. It also was cool to see a dark-skinned Black man and interact with him as a key character, when Final Fantasy XVI's scenario was utterly bereft of any people of color despite the game quite literally taking you to a desert region inspired by the Middle East and Africa. Whether or not this will be of any significance in Dragon's Dogma 2 has yet to be seen, but regardless, it was nice to see.
Overall, my experience with Dragon's Dogma 2 has been pretty positive thus far. The map is sprawling and the world feels very much alive, with enemies roaming the outskirts of villagers and the few quests I did get to undertake were fun and felt significant even in a much smaller scale. The new Vocation is an interesting addition, even if I may not play it when I get my hands on the full release of the game. Dragon's Dogma 2 seems to be a larger version of what the first game was, and that isn't bad at all.
Square Enix shared a new FFVII Rebirth smartphone wallpaper of Sephiroth as a fox. The company released the wallpaper through its official social media to celebrate the recent collaboration campaign with Nissin Donbei that depicted Sephiroth as the the One-Winged Dongitsune.
The wallpaper features Sephiroth Dongitsune with his fox ears, holding the Masamune sword on his left hand, and a Nissin Donbei udon package on his right hand. A Japanese caption that reads "good boy" appears on the left side of the image. Meanwhile, the social media post opens with the sentence "Shall I give you wallpaper?" in reference to Sephiroth's iconic "Shall I give you despair?" line that he says to Cloud in the FFVII Advent Children movie.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available for the PS5. The game's PS5 exclusivity arrangement expires on May 29, 2024.

These arcs won't make you "love it". Instead, they will be the last thing you'll ever see and feel. Here is the best Sorcerer build for The Gauntlet in Diablo 4. Diablo 4: Best Sorcerer build for The Gauntlet What I love about Diablo 4 builds – which fits my historic playstyle very well – is the feel of facing the enemy hordes straight and taking care of things closely. Yeah, I don't dig the ranged classes or builds. So when I found out that one of the best Sorcerer builds in the game attempts and succeeds to emulate what a Barbarian or even a Druid can, then I knew that the Arc Lash Sorcerer build was meant to be, and it is perfect for The Gauntlet. Now, you can also use the Ball Lightning Sorcerer build, but the idea of a Sorcerer focusing on melee damage made me completely biased and I'm not willing to apologize. Sorry. With the use of the Arc Lash skill – which, surprise, is our main source of damage – you will ge...

Nothing like the anger and sheer power of nature and the rawness of the wild to deal with demonic hordes. Here is the best Druid build for The Gauntlet in Diablo 4. Diablo 4: Best Druid build for The Gauntlet While I rather use the raw power of the Barbarian, Druids are better than ever today thanks to the many balance changes now live in Season 3 of Diablo 4. Well, what about taking that raw power and converting it to wild power? That is what the Lightning Storm Druid build is meant to do, and all the enemies in The Gauntlet will know that. Combining both the unstoppable nature of the Werebear, its immobilizing skills, and Lightning Strikes, Druids have a chance against all these Level 100+ enemies. Since this level will require you to match it, Uber Uniques such as Tempest Roar, Flickerstep, Tibault's Will, or Mad Wolf's Glee, among others, will almost become mandatory. Be sure to farm Uber Duriel and even focus craft them. After all, you want to appear in the Le...

If there are enemies, then there are punches and a very big hammer coming their way. Here is the best Barbarian build for The Gauntlet in Diablo 4. Diablo 4: Best Barbarian build for The Gauntlet If there is a particular Diablo 4 class I'm very fond of is the Barbarian. Furthermore, if there is a build that I've found I cannot live without, it is the Hammer of the Ancients build. Now, combine it with the absurd might of the Charge skill and you have a Charge HotA build that will maul all of the enemies that lurk within The Gauntlet. With the use of the Rallying Cry, you will also get a valuable Movement Speed bonus that will get you out of trouble whenever necessary and also allow you to deal as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time. Since The Gauntlet will feature Level 100+ enemies – which will arguably require you to get to Level 100 – then getting Uber Uniques will turn the tide of the battle in your favor. Uber Uniques such as Tiba...

When is the Judas release date? The hivemind at PCGN is a huge fan of BioShock and BioShock Infinite. In those classic games, we explored a dystopian world filled with ambitious technology, extraordinary abilities, and top-notch storytelling. So naturally, when Judas was revealed in December last year - complete with its System Shock-like vibes - it grabbed our attention.
If you're in the dark about why we're so excited, Judas is an upcoming FPS game by Ghost Story Games, a studio led by Ken Levine and other former Irrational Games developers - yes, the same people behind BioShock. Like those earlier games, Judas will be a single-player story game, but one set in a futuristic sci-fi universe in a similar vein as BioShock's predecessor. While it's still a way off, we can shed some light on what to expect with the upcoming Judas release date and the gameplay and story details.
You hate him. I hate him. If you don't hate him, you probably play him. Yes, you guessed it, it's Brand. So, imagine my face when I noticed that the latest round of League of Legends patch notes finally hand the Burning Vengeance some nerfs. Spoiler alert: I'm smiling.
After replaying Mass Effect 1-3 in the Legendary Edition of the original trilogy, there's nothing more we want to do than to shoot, romance, and choose our way through a new adventure aboard the latest version of the Normandy. The price of gaming monitors has steadily dropped in recent years but you can still expect to generally pay around $400 for a known-brand 34-inch model with a WQHD resolution. That's why this limited time Samsung gaming monitor deal on Amazon is so impressive. Normally priced at $350, right now you can pick up the Samsung ViewFinity S50GC for just $240, making for a huge 31% saving.
While this particular Samsung display hasn't earned a place on our best gaming monitor guide, its specs are excellent for such a low price. Moreover, we've generally been impressed by many of Samsung's gaming panels, with the likes of the Samsung Odyssey G9 G95SC currently our top choice of super wide gaming monitors.
When is the Hellblade 2 release date? After several years of development, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 finally has a release date. If you've always wanted to fight giants in ninth-century Iceland, and you don't mind some side commentary from the Fury voices in your head, then you might want to read on.
Senua's Saga Hellblade 2 is a sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, a story game released in 2017. Developed by Ninja Theory, it follows the titular hero, a Pict warrior named Senua, who has psychosis and separate personal trauma. If you want to learn more about this brave warrior's next adventure, here's everything we've learned about Hellblade 2 so far.
Let me ask you a philosophical question: have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a ghost possessing a lamp? Probably not, and honestly, neither had I - until now. Midnight Ghost Hunt, a bizarre yet beautiful mashup of Dead by Daylight's multiplayer chase mechanics and Prop Hunt's, well, chaos, has me intrigued - and it's finally leaving early access.
In late February, Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Studios revealed that a real person named Joel holds the position of 'Game Master' for the entire online shooter. This Dungeons and Dragons-inspired role was devised to observe players' behavior and manipulate in-game events to keep things spicy. Now, Katherine Baskin, Arrowhead's community manager, offers further details about the studio's "divisive" strategy to avoid live-service game pitfalls.
What are the best FPS games on PC? From the classic physics chaos of Half-Life 2 to Halo Infinite's beautifully rendered worlds, these are the finest FPS games. For more than two decades, FPS games have been the driving force of the PC games industry. They've let us travel from the depths of Hell in Doom to the outer reaches of space in Titanfall 2. Others have taken us on a detour through the likes of Half-Life 2's zombie-infested Ravenholm, while some have embraced futuristic cities.
Some of these games are old, others are new, and all are great. Warhammer 40K: Boltgun and its '90s-boomer-shooter-inspired graphics; Rainbow Six Siege's tight tactical multiplayer; Overwatch 2 and its vast array of amazing heroes. No matter what sort of virtual gunplay you're after, whether you want multiplayer games, war games, or something altogether different, the following titles will satisfy your itchy trigger finger. So crack those knuckles, and make every shot count. These aren't only the best FPS games, some of these entries are included in our best PC games too.
What are the best JRPGs? JRPGs are very different from Western RPGs, and the genre has significantly evolved since the early turn-based days of the classic NES-era Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games. The very best now include more open-world adventures, but many still include the same turn-based.
Some of the best JRPGs abandon traditional fantasy in favor of a more realistic setting, perhaps leaning more toward tactical RPG mechanics; others focus on fleshing out the world by adding to the game's overall package with other activities and minigames. Either way, these JRPGs bring a different flavor than what you can expect from the best RPGs in the West and could be considered some of the best PC games to fans of the genre.
While Warner Bros has admitted that Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League was a "disappointment," the company has simultaneously outlined how it wants to focus more on live service and free-to-play games, citing them as key areas of growth for the core IPs that act as a lynchpin of its videogames business.
It's been a strange year for creature collector fans. Sure, we're only a few months into 2024, but Palworld's descent into the dark side of monster-taming games has been an experience that none of us at PCGamesN will forget any time soon. If, like me, you're still reeling from the questionable ethics (and fluids) in Pocketpair's breakout hit, then Home of the Yokai is the perfect palette cleanser. Even better? It's due out later this year.
While many fondly remember WWE's glory days, professional wrestling is currently experiencing a new renaissance period. With more eyes on the company than ever, WWE 2K24 aims to celebrate the past while creating a blueprint for future wrestling games. It does so by updating its roster of match types, adding new features to the Universe, MyFaction, and MyGM modes, telling stories with its two MyRise campaigns, and taking a nostalgic look at the highlights of 40 years of Wrestlemania. There's so much to unpack here in WWE 2K24, with something for every professional wrestling fan - but everything good comes at some cost.
What is the Tales of Kenzera Zau release date? This Metroidvania from Surgent Studios is an absolute feast for the eyeballs, that's for sure. Takes of Kenzera Zau tells a story of loss and the lengths one person would go to to retrieve what they once had, even if they have to deal with the actual God of death in the process.
You've seen Metroidvania games before, sure, but Tales of Kenzera Zau is looking to take what you know and package it in a game that explodes with color, dialogue that swings with real verve, and a rewarding combat system that flows on the screen like water. Here is everything we know about the adventure game, including its release date, the story so far, and its trailer.
It's not the enemies (well, it kind of is the enemies), and it's not the environments - at least not all the time. In Outlast, the horror-game-mold-breaking 2013 original, the most frightening part of the experience is the camera. That grainy little viewfinder, especially when you activate the battery-sucking nightvision, makes everything feel, somehow, closer, more tactile, and more real. You're a reporter. Your job is to record. And so you feel obligated to watch and capture every single atrocity and terror contained in Mount Massive Asylum. It's a subtle but breakthrough tweak in the horror game formula. Now, 11 years later, Outlast has fully broken containment. Mixing Dead by Daylight's multiplayer focus with the stealth and tension of Alien Isolation or Amnesia, one of 2024's most hotly anticipated new horrors is finally here in full.

Noctua has just dealt a devastating blow to fans of its world-class cooling products who also like the current trend for white gaming PCs. Having previously hinted it was developing a range of white PC case fans, it has now confirmed that development has stopped, putting an end to hopes of a perfect marriage of Noctua performance and sleek all white styling.
Noctua has long been famed for mostly selling its products in an eyebrow-raising color combination of brown and beige. However, thanks to the Austrian company's engineering excellence that has seen its fans and coolers earn places on our best PC fan and best CPU cooler guides, its products have remained popular. Nonetheless, more recently the company has moved with the times, offering black variants of some products and revealing that white variants were in the works too.
What are the best CS2 crosshairs? Choosing the perfect crosshair to suit your playstyle is no easy task. If you pick a large crosshair, you could end up blocking potential targets from your sightline. Too small and you might not be able to hit your targets from a distance.
The main thing to remember is that you're going to want to spend some time testing out each type of crosshair. Fortunately, Deathmatch has been revamped in Counter-Strike 2, so there will be no shortage of targets for you to gun down. Picking the best crosshair and using the best CS2 binds should help you on your quest to earn the highest CS2 ranks and rating. Here are all the best CS2 crosshair codes in 2024.
What are the best Minecraft skins? We've scoured the internet and tried on some of the coolest Minecraft skins out there to save you the trouble, whether you want to look like your favorite animal, superhero, or anime character.
Of course, you can always choose a default Minecraft skin. There are seven more characters to choose from now on top of the original Steve and Alex: Noor, Sunny, Ari, Zuri, Makena, Kai, and Efe. That said, if you'd rather rock a more unique and ultra-cute Minecraft skin instead, we'd recommend a custom fit. With an abundance of cool skins to choose from, however, it can be hard to find the best ones on your own, so here are some of the best Minecraft skins available to download right now on NameMC.
We've picked out five top choices for the best Indian VPN. These will give you a chance to connect through an Indian server when outside the country and protect your privacy on the internet in the process. To clarify, these are VPNs with Indian servers, rather than VPN businesses based in India.
If your priority is something other than privacy, then that won't be a problem. That said, if you want the most private VPN services, then you'll have to pick one that uses virtual servers instead. Fortunately, many of the best VPN services offer virtual servers, and we have recommendations for both kinds below.
We all love Doom. It's the spiritual ancestor to the entire boomer shooter genre that now includes instant classics like Dusk, Turbo Overkill, and Ultrakill. Last year we also added Warhammer 40K Boltgun to that ever-expanding list, and if you never got a chance to play it, now you can thanks to Game Pass.
What are theHorizon Forbidden West system requirements? It will be challenging for some gamers to get adequate performance in this latest PS5 port, but overall the demands are where we expected them. However, the SSD storage space required will lead to some difficult decisions when it comes to making room.
To get Horizon Forbidden West performing at its most demanding settings, you will need one of the best graphics cards available, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080. That being said, to get the game moving on older gaming laptops and PCs, the barrier to entry is far lower.
What if your fast-paced first-person movement shooter traded a gun for a sword, and its hyper-real setting for a crunchy PS1 aesthetic scored by intense piano tracks? You'd have Voin, and if that sounds right up your street, you'll be incredibly glad to hear that there's an imminent Steam playtest for this action RPG game. Combining the best parts of the modern Doom games and the distinct dark fantasy of Dark Souls, Voin is one to watch.
A little while back, Embracer Group sadly shut down Timesplitter's studio Free Radical Design in a typical case of Embracer-led restructuring. After the closure, a former Free Radical developer revealed they'd worked on a "clone" of Fortnite before it transitioned to a remake of Timesplitters 2. And now footage has emerged of the cancelled project, which certainly does look like a team shooter reminiscent of Epic's epic.
Berserk Boy is the legally distinct lovechild of Sonic The Hedgehog and Mega Man X, on account of how it fondly emulates the Blue Blur's speedy momentum and the Dorky Mega's various power-altering suits. That anatomically tricky relationship is enticing by itself, but even if those retro action platformers just register as historical relics in your memory, Berserk Boy does enough that's new and interesting that it doesn't need to rely on aping its inspirations. My only beef is that credits rolled before I was properly given a chance to test my newfound robo-bashing muscles.
If you dislike getting stabbed in the back in first-person games, you might not like Voin. If you like ravaged Gothic masonry and dramatic evening skies, you might like Voin. If you dislike fighting fireball-lobbing demons with a sword, you might not like Voin. If you like open-ended, changeable levels full of loot and secrets, you might like Voin. If you are confused about whether you'll like or dislike Voin, you might want to try this dark fantasy action-RPG yourself during the first public Steam playtest on Friday, March 8th.
Having spent all of 30 minutes with an early playtest build, I'm cautiously impressed. I suspect there are cooler, less-known inspirations at work, but this feels like a Demon's Souls-ified Doom Eternal that doesn't quite have Doom Eternal's swagger and precision, probably because it is the work of just one developer, Nikita Sozidar, rather than hundreds.
Considering it's one of the most gawwwwjuss games you can get one o' them PS5 machines, Horizon Forbidden West's upcoming PC version has some pretty fair-looking system requirements. The newly released specs, which you can find below, suggest that pushing the open world, robosaur-slaying sequel to its most extreme settings will take a burly graphics card – but likewise, lower settings and resolutions can get by with much creakier hardware.
Readers with good memories may recall that I was delighted to see Games Incubator and PlayWay moving away from "cleaning abandoned industrial buildings" and towards "magical pets" in their sim games, when they revealed My Horse: Bonded Spirits. I played the prologue to the game today (which is about 40 minutes long) and discovered that you have to level up your horse before you can gallop. Sir: no.

Back at Anime Expo 2023, Idea Factory International confirmed one of its new Hyperdimension Neptunia games would be Neptunia Game Maker R:Revolution, and now there's finally an update on its release date. We'll see it in May 2024, and both standard and limited editions will appear.
As usual, the physical copies are already showing up for on Idea Factory International's store, though pre-orders aren't open yet. The base game comes with one of the Ifi's Online Store trading cards and the physical copy. The official box art for the new Neptunia game also appeared. The limited edition page is also live, but there are no details on its price or included content. In Europe, a Day One Edition Dual Pack Plus that also includes Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters and acrylic stand will appear.
Here's how that box art looks:

The announcement also included an update on languages. In addition to English subtitles being supported, there will be French and Spanish as well. The two dual audio options will be English and Japanese.
As a reminder, this is a spin-off entry. Older Neptune, an alternate version of the character we know, is working with the Failure Console Goddesses Pippih, Jagaa, and Reedio. (They are based on the Pippin, Jaguar, and 3DO.) You head into battles with four characters at once, going through areas and trying to help these console goddesses and the company succeed.
The Neptunia Game Maker R:Revolution English release date will fall in May 2024 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Capcom revealed the Japanese name for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess ahead of the Capcom Highlights streams. However, it inly applies to the spelling of the title. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The official Japanese name for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is pronounced the same way as it is in English. However, the "Kunitsu-Gami" part of the title is spelled using the kanji 祇, which roughly translates to "local deity" or "gods of the land." While the Japanese word "kunitsukami" is usually spelled using different kanji, this is also one of the alternate pronunciations for the kanji 祇.
Additionally, the Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess X (previously Twitter) official account is now open, and a new present campaign offers people the chance to win a t-shirt with key art of the game and an Amazon gift card. You can take a better look at the t-shirt and the key art here:

The reveal trailer for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess originally appeared on June 11, 2023 during the Xbox Games Showcase. New information about the game will appear on March 7, 2024 during the first Capcom Highlights broadcast.
Crunchyroll announced that it now offers the English dub of the Dragon Ball Super anime. It will begin streaming on the service on March 5, 2024 in five countries.

It also noted this applies to the 131 episodes currently available on the service. As of time of writing, only the English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish subtitle options with original Japanese audio were available, as the dub will only debut at 1pm PT/4pm ET.
Crunchyroll's announcement also reminded people of the English voice actors in the Dragon Ball Super dub. Here's who you can hear:

There's also another Dragon Ball anime on the way, though no English dub is confirmed for it just yet. Dragon Ball Daima is in development. Its run will start in Fall 2024.

Sony, Nixxes, and Guerrillaannounced the Horizon Forbidden West PC specs and requirements ahead of launch, to help people determine if their computer can handle it. So we now know what the minimum "Very Low" and "Very High" asks are.
What kind of PC spec and requirements do I need to meet to run Horizon Forbidden West?
First, here are the absolute minimum requirements to run the game. It's actually quite manageable, provided someone is okay with going with the Very Low preset option. The one part that isn't negotiable is that you need Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or better, 16GB RAM, and 150GB SSD space for it.
AVG Performance: 720p and 30 FPS
Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X

These involve chibi character portraits of all four members smiling, and items connected to them like Korone's chocolate coronet. As a nod to the event, the space bar says, "Hololive 5th Fes Capture the Moment."
142 keycaps are provided, which covers a standard keyboard and numberpad. Alphanumeric keys feature the alphabet and hiragana on them. Here's a closer look at how things will look when applied to a keyboard.

Square Enix announced the next Final Fantasy XIV patch, with 6.58 arriving on March 19, 2024. Rather than adding a wealth of content, this update will be focused on fixing issues in the game and adjustments.
The major change will involve Pandaemonium: Anabaseios (Savage). That arrived back in May 2023, with Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXVII initially discussing the eight-player Endwalker raid. While the full patch notes aren't available, the company did note that the Echo strength will be increased when the update arrives.
The other adjustments were only hinted at ahead of Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.58. Square Enix noted that PvP actions and issues will be addressed. While no specifics were mentioned, the update will mark the end of Crystalline Conflict Season 10.
This isn't the only time the 6.5 series of patches addressed Pandaemonium: Anabaseios (Savage). 6.57 also did as well. It guaranteed two treasure coffers per challenge and another Echo buff. However, after it launched full patch notes did appear breaking down all the changes. So, as usual, we can probably expect that from Square Enix after the 6.58 patch appears too.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The Xbox Series X open beta is live now. The Dawntrail expansion will launch in Summer 2024.
It was 9pm and, after a long day with friends, I looked at my phone. "It's time for me to head-out I think." A friend piped up as I picked up my bag. "Hey, do you wanna get some Final Fantasy cookies? They're doing this FFVII Rebirth thing with Insomnia Cookies. And it's in the area, so if you wanna go I can drop you off after." I wasn't even aware that Square Enix was partnering with the retailer for a special collaboration.
I agreed, because I was curious as to what the collaboration entailed, still not looking anything up about it as we made our way there. The store itself was empty, with a few college students gathered outside and uninterested in the small cookie store illuminated with sterile halogen lights. We walked inside, and I pointed at the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth print displayed by the register. "I'll take one of the FFVII Rebirth crossover cookies."
"It's a box." I blinked and looked back to my friend. "It's a box?" The cashier nodded. "Yeah, it's a box of cookies. You get to pick twelve of our standard cookies and then you get the case." I squinted up at the menu, scanning over the selection of classic chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, and peanut butter cookies. All of these options seemed unappealing. But I looked back at the cashier and shrugged. "Sure. What the hell. I'll take some cookies."
For the next few minutes I picked out a small assortment of cookies that I would eat in the car ride back and feed my friend between intermittent stops between the freeway and residential areas. "Do you want the cover separately?" I frowned, cocking my head in curiosity.
"Separately?"
"Yeah, separately. You know, not over the box." The cashier said, as though she had been asked to provide the box featuring CGI renders of Barret and Red XIII on a black background not covering the box. It crossed my mind that these could definitely be viewed as collectors items, but I shrugged. "Nah. It's OK. It's not that serious." She laughed and headed back behind the counter to heat up the cookies.
Her colleague came out, scrubbing his hand over his beard. "I'm surprised we haven't sold out of these. We had a couple people coming in buying them, like, two at a time." I was pretty surprised too. FFVII Rebirthis a big release and has already garnered critical acclaim so you would figure a collaboration, even if it was with Insomnia Cookies, would get some kind of attention. But as I looked around the store, I figured out why maybe people weren't clamoring for a box of a dozen cookies with a thick paper sleeve.
There weren't any standees or any kind of decoration to celebrate the release of the game. The only Final Fantasy VII related thing was the display of the sleeve. "They got other ones at the other locations. You gotta go to all of them to get all of the characters."
"Oh. That makes sense." I said. My friend agreed, and we talked a bit about the game with the cashier before our cookies were packed up and ready to go.
"That'll be $33." Pulling out my phone, I tapped the back of it against the card reader, waiting before the display showed me that the transaction was approved. Taking the box in my hand, I crammed the receipt into my pocket and left the store with my friend. They were surprised I bought the box of cookies. I was too. That was $33, which was pretty pricy for a dozen of what was honestly just very average cookies. Sliding into the front seat of their car, I bit into a half-warm chocolate chip cookie, looking at the sleeve.
"Well, I guess we gotta take a picture." And so we spent the next five minutes taking pictures of the sleeve and the box of cookies positioned in my lap, laughing at my purchase of a bunch of cookies at almost 10pm.
Would I have gotten these cookies and the accompanying sleeve if it wasn't a snap decision? Maybe. Maybe not. Was it worth it? I don't know. I mean, I'm eating one of those cookies right now as I write this, and my roommate seems to have liked the sleeve. They like Barret, which is cool, because Barret is pretty awesome. But as far as collaboration events go, it was pretty lackluster and, much like the cookies, was really just OK. But hey, nothing beats a good chocolate chip.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024.
Yoshiki Okamoto has formally revealed his NFT game project. Previously teased as Project K, the project shall now be known as Changokushi. The new title is short for Oneechan Sangokushi, and it will feature female versions of Romance of the Three Kingdoms figures in a similar fashion to the Koihime Musou franchise. The project will encompass multiple games, and the first one is revealed to be a rogue-lite auto-battling mobile RPG titled Changokushi! Kekkon-shiyou.
Okamoto also explained how his project will be more accessible than other NFT titles on the series' portal site. People will be able to purchase NFT characters with credit cards instead of cryptocurrencies. The NFTs will be applicable to most of the series' games, as long as the character has already been added to the title's roster.
People can immediately start playing the free-to-play games without having to obtain any NFTs beforehand. Okamoto's company Okakichi has also set up an NFT marketplace site for the project, titled KUSOGeeeeee—which is taken from the Japanese term meaning "crappy games."
The project's inaugural game, Changokushi! Kekkon-shiyou, has a Japanese subtitle based on a pun of "Let's get married." However, the "Kekkon" term uses a different kanji letter from the usual "Marriage" word. The term here means "Soul Binding," and it will refer to weapon fusions as one of the game's primary gameplay features.
Players will gather numerous weapons through gameplay, and they can fuse them with the Soul Binding feature to try to produce more powerful weapons. They can then sell the fused weapons on the NFT market.
Changokushi! Kekkon-shiyou, The first entry in Yoshiki Okamoto's NFT game project, will be available for Android and iOS mobile devices.
Bandai Namco revealed the new Idolmaster game it previously teased in late February 2024. The new game will be titled Hatsuboshi Gakuen: The Idolmaster, and it will be available on iOS and Android mobile devices as a free-to-play app. The game will also be known in Japan with the shortened title Gakuen Idolmaster.
As the title suggests, Gakuen Idolmaster will take place at Hatsuboshi Academy. Its high school will feature a specific Idol major, in addition to the regular study course. The academy will also have a vocational college with a Producer major. After graduating, both Idol and Producer students will join a yet-to-be-named talent production agency. Akio Ohtsuka, the veteran voice actor best known for Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake and Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory's Anavel Gato, will voice the academy's headmaster Kunio Juo.

The player will become a student in the college's Producer major. They will be able to produce a single idol candidate during a gameplay session. The Producer College's professor Asari Neo, who is voiced by Aoi Koga, will assist the player in a similar way Kotori Otonashi and Hazuki Nanakusa did in other Idolmaster titles.
Image via Bandai Namco
Gakuen Idolmaster will feature nine characters at launch, but the reveal stream only unveiled the first three. The fourth character will make her debut in a livestream scheduled for March 13, 2024. The remaining characters will also be revealed gradually every following Wednesday.

Bandai Namco has also published individual trailers for the first three announced characters. The first one is Kotone Fujita, who will be voiced by Hikaru Iida. Her songs and performances will be geared towards the "kawaii/cute" genre.

The second character revealed is Temari Tsukimura, who will be voiced by Nao Ojika. She will represent the "blue" line of idols who have superior vocals but stoic personalities. Previous examples in The Idolmaster metaseries include Chihaya Kisaragi, Rin Shibuya, and Hiori Kazano.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LNUGiOppTo
The third and last character announced in the new The Idolmaster game stream is Saki Hanami, and Aoi Nagatsuki will provide her voiceover. She will also act as the title's overall poster girl in a similar fashion to Haruka Amami and Shiny Colors' Mano Sakuragi.
