Is God of War Ragnarok coming to PC?

When is God of War Ragnarok coming to PC? The sequel to PlayStation's acclaimed first-party series arrived on the console in November 2022, and it's been a long wait for PC players since then. However, we might not have to dodge spoilers for much longer, as the latest rumors suggest we might get our hands on a PC port sooner rather than later.

2018's God of War left Kratos and Atreus on a slight cliffhanger, with last-minute revelations and plot threads left untied after the credits rolled. The release of God of War Ragnarok on PS5 last year means we won't be waiting for too much longer until the action-adventure game arrives on PC, but nailing down an exact date is a different story. Here's what the latest news and rumors suggest about the GoW Ragnarok PC release, along with our own forecast based on Sony's schedule.

Best Warzone guns - the top weapons for the current meta

What are the best guns in Warzone? Warzone has evolved several times over the past few years, swapping out the maps, weapons, and gameplay mechanics depending on the latest Call of Duty release. Warzone has transitioned from Al Mazrah to Urzikstan, a fictional country referenced throughout the Modern Warfare series. Now with the Resurgence mode exploding in popularity, it pays to know what weapons to use.

Long-time fans know just how intense the battle royale game can get, and those who want the biggest advantage in the field need to know which are the meta weapons, and which should be left well alone. Here is our pick of the best weapons in Warzone and why.

     Best Warzone DG-58 LSW loadout

What is the best Warzone DG-58 LSW loadout? LMGs have been in and around the meta for some time as they offer something different on the battlefield. Their ability to sustain accurate fire for several seconds allows you to pin opponents down, and more than likely bag several kills before reloading. The issue is that they're cumbersome — you're fairly immobile, so approaching aggressive players can often spell death. The DG-58 LSW, however, gives you the benefits of an LMG without the bulkiness, and we've put together what we think is the best loadout possible.

Whether you play the battle royale game for the tactical, open spaces of Urzikstan, or prefer the close-quarters chaos of Warzone Resurgence, having a reliable and deadly primary weapon is the key to success. The DG-58 LSW is easily one of the best Warzone LMGs, and here are the attachments you should be using if you want to get the most out of this meta weapon.

     Best AIO cooler in 2024

The best AIO cooler will stop your CPU from overheating during intense gaming sessions while keeping the inside of your PC looking spacious and clean. Custom water cooling might look even slicker, and air coolers can be cheaper, but a top AIO cooler is a great way to keep your CPU cool.

They're an optional upgrade for most people, but AIO coolers can make the best gaming PC even better - particularly if you've learned how to overclock your CPU. A good AIO cooler lets you overclock to crank out more performance with less risk of melting your CPU to a crisp.

You might think liquids shouldn't mix with electronics, yet an effective pump and radiator combo will move heat away from that CPU faster than you can say 'thermal throttling'. We've put the best AIO coolers to the test, from top liquid CPU cooler brands like NZXT, CoolerMaster, MSI, and Corsair, so you've nothing to worry about when it comes to the safety of your rig.

Best fighting games on PC 2024

What are the best fighting games on PC? It may be one of the oldest genres in gaming, but it wasn't until unintentional glitches gave birth to combos in Street Fighter 2 that the first boom took hold in arcades during the 90s. During the next few years, other classic fighters would enter this eternal tournament, most notably Mortal Kombat with its motion-capture gore, while both Virtua Fighter and Tekken took the genre into 3D.

Fighting games would grow out of favor in the 2000s, but thanks to the revival of the Street Fighter series, followed by the more recent rise of esports and, to a lesser extent, the global pandemic, we now have access to some of the best PC games. They're infamous for being tough to learn, but with the help of video tutorials, there's never been a better time to get into these highly competitive multiplayer games. So grab the best PC controller, one of the best fight sticks, or whatever control method you desire to use, and practice your favorite character's combos.

Nazomonogatari is a Real Escape Game featuring Monogatari series heroines

Scrap revealed Nazomonogatari, a new escape room game that will have players solve riddles while interacting with the game's world and characters. Players will take the role of the series protagonist Araragi, who will also get to interact with heroines from Monogatari series entries like Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari. This game will be temporarily available online for a year from early June 2024.

Most of the prior escape room games based on franchises like Evangelion and Chainsaw Man were held at physical venues in Japan. Scrap will distinguish this game by making it available exclusively online.

People will be able to access it via the newest version of Google Chrome browser on PCs and mobile devices. The company added that it will not restrict internet access from outside Japan, although it will not provide customer support to those residing outside the country nor add more languages other than Japanese.

To gain access to the game, people will first have to pay 2,800 yen (~$18). Afterward, Scrap will send them the game's URL link. The company will also sell physical packages at varying prices.

The regular edition will cost 3,200 yen (~$20.40), and there will also be bonus editions with extra merchandise based on each of the five heroines—Hitagi, Nadeko, Mayoi, Suruga, and Tsubasa—for 7,000 yen (~$44.70) apiece. Scrap will also sell a complete physical package containing items from all heroines at 22,000 yen (~$140.40).

Scrap has also uploaded a commercial video for the game on its YouTube channel:

Square Enix Opens Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Site

The dedicated Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail site is now open. While there isn't much new information present, it does offer quick insights into what to expect from the expansion ahead of its July 2024 debut.

As expected, the site offers insights into preparing for Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail. The free trial for the base game is advertised right away, so someone could sample the MMORPG and get started if they haven't experienced it before. There's also the link to the benchmark tool. (Note that the updated version of it isn't available as of 11:30am ET on May 30, 2024.)

The other sections go into more details about the areas, elements, and encounters in the expansion. The World section establishes the Tural continent, which consists of Xak Tural and Yok Tural. It brings up how the region is home to the cities and places like Tuliyollal, Solution Nine, Urqopacha, Yak T'el, Kozama'uka, Shaaloani, and Heritage Found. That section also goes over enemies like Valigarmanda, Barreltender, and Eliminator, as well as races like the Pelupelu, Mamool Ja, Yok Huy, and Hanuhanu. The jobs area focuses on concept art, screenshots, and clips for the Viper and Pictomancer. Meanwhile, the female Hrothgar race and graphical update both ended up placed in Systems.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Dawntrail expansion debuts on July 2, 2024.

Tales of the world radiant mythology 3 opening

With Tales of the Rays's closure this year, there is now no way aside from replaying past games to recapture the spark of what made the Tales game series so special. The decline of the Tales series, even if we look past Bandai Namco's failings, has been a slow and steady death, and it desperately needs a hefty injection of new blood or something similar if the Tales series ever wants to restore its past glory.

Tales of series games game Idolmaster costumes Bandai Namco
Image via Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco has a problem. Fans of its many classic series and franchises—Digimon, Tales, Gundam, The Idolmaster, .hack, Klonoa, Katamari, Tekken, and more—might have differing opinions on this. The sheer number of fantastic series Bandai Namco has the rights to means the company can be spread thin. But the Tales decline has been happening for years now, with Rays serving as the final death knell.

As a child, I much preferred Tales over Square and Square Enix's Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest series. Perhaps it's the heavier focus on characters (due to mechanics like skits), or perhaps it's the linear battle system that felt more action-focused than the standard turn-based combat. Symphonia was my first Tales, but I didn't really enjoy what was going on (I played it fresh after beating Final Fantasy X the first time so the story felt like a poor rehash). So I popped in Rebirth and holy macaroni, it blew my socks off. It felt so different from anything other game to little Stephanie that I was hooked. I couldn't get enough of the characters or the battle system or the skits. I needed more.

While things kind of took a turn from Xillia, you could always expect a few things from each Tales game. References to Bandai Namco's other properties like Pac-Man, skits featuring 2D anime sprites, a linear co-op capable battle system that introduces a new element with each title, synth in the soundtrack, morally gray villains, tropes that the story introduces straight but deconstructs in its storyline, a two-parter story... There are more but these are what I quickly think of when I try to imagine a Tales.

Now, I mentioned Xillia earlier and while I don't blame Xillia for everything that went wrong, it was the beginning of the Tales Dark Ages—an era I'm not sure we'll ever escape if even the bright ray of hope known as Berseria couldn't end it. Xillia's usage of both Inomata's and Fujishima's character designs was supposed to be special for the anniversary title. Then every title kept doing that. The storyline felt like the writers didn't get time to finish before they had to submit it. The Link System is fun in both theory and practice. But tying Mystic Artes to them takes away an important weapon in a character's arsenal in the coliseum's solo mode.

Tales of Xillia the beginning of when the game really became bad
Image via Bandai Namco

Even before Xillia though, fans were not happy with Baba-P. Granted, a lot of fans are even less happy with Tomizawa-P these days either. People complained about the vigilante storyline in Vesperia. I didn't see a lot of people complaining about Graces (outside of people who never played a Tales game with a CC battle system before; sorry, but the complaint of Judith in Vesperia "unlocking" aerial combat and the lack of it in Graces is just not valid, especially when Destiny Remake—which uses CC—was the first to make aerial combat a thing). But that's because no one really talked about Graces. These were small potatoes compared to the true final boss though: Zestiria. Coincidentally, just like how Xillia was an anniversary title, Zestiria was one too.

Disregarding from the horrible Alisha vs Rose discourse that plagued the fandom before launch, the game suffered from poor optimization. The camera was motion sickness galore thanks to fighting on the open world. The story felt like half the length of a normal Tales game. The shilling that might have ruined Yuri or Milla for some felt worse with Rose. I liked Rose. But even I was sick of how the narrative bends itself backwards to incorporate her and how special she is. It was the same issue with Milla. I kept waiting for backlash to her extremist ways beyond a few lines from Gilland and Alvin. But nope.

zestiria the x alisha

It's such a shame that Zestiria's and Arise's terrible reputations have prevented people from playing Berseria! Berseria was so good! Bandai Namco was sitting on treasure, but I don't know if there's enough goodwill among the core fans to pick up a new Tales game at launch anymore. Maybe if Bandai Namco takes a leaf out of Berseria's book and makes something close to that again. Unfortunately, the game industry (outside of indie markets, maybe) is in quite a pickle right now. The development cycle for games is so long these days that a single flop can tank a studio. And even disregarding the current oversaturation of the game market, the target sales to satisfy higher-ups or break even just aren't feasible.

Perhaps in another world, if Tales of Crestoria had come out as a console game rather than a short-lived mobile game, the Tales studio would still be thriving. That Bandai Namco, infamous for its handling of mobile games, tried yet again with Luminaria is baffling. Unfortunately, it seems that in this timeline, there are no longer any tales that Bandai Namco wish to tell.

Genshin Impact Clorinde

A slew of information for upcoming Genshin Impact character Clorinde appeared, including a new teaser trailer, voice artist announcement, and a moveset overview. Clorinde is expected to arrive in the game alongside Update 4.7 on June 5, 2024.

Clorinde is a sword-wielding, Electro-element character from the region of Fontaine, and she is voiced in English by Crystal Lee and by Ishikawa Yui in Japanese. As the teaser trailer shows, she acts as a duelist for the state in the event a defendant refuses the usual trial by court. It was also revealed that her birthday is September 20th, and her constellation is Rapperia.

Over on Twitter, HoYoverse also went over the moveset of Clorinde, which focuses on the use of the Bond of Life mechanic in Genshin Impact. Her skill allows her to enter the "Night Vigil" state wherein her basic attacks become ranged Pistolet shots that grant her Bond of Life, a status that absorbs an amount of healing received. Once in the state, her skill becomes a lunging sword strike that heals, thereby clearing some of that Bond. As her Pistolet shots are empowered at low Bond of Life levels, it seems like her playstyle will revolve around using her thrust attacks to keep it low and empower her shots.

You can watch the character teaser video "Clorinde: Final Failsafe" via Youtube below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btAgDq44a74

Genshin Impact also recently saw the launch of the Underwater Treasure Hunt online event, which allows players to earn loot simply by logging in. The game's flagship store on Taobao also recently began selling Genshin-themed pet hoods that look like creatures from the game.

Clorinde is set to become available when Version 4.7 of Genshin Impact launches on June 5, 2024. The game itself is readily available on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Sale Appears Alongside Developer Video

Square Enix shared both a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth developer video offering insight from the team behind the trilogy, as well as a sale on the second entry in the FFVII saga on Amazon. The video spends an hour and a half talking about the game, while the temporary sale drops the price of a physical copy of the game from $69.99 to $54.99.

With the developer video, Directors Naoki Hamaguchi and Motomu Toriyama, Art Director Shintaro Takai, and Battle Director Teruki Endo all came together to discuss the game. Due to the length, Square Enix shared a directory going over different elements of the title, so people could potentially jump to sections they're most interested in. For example, Barret meeting Dyne again after the party visits the Gold Saucer for the first time comes up at about the 30 minute mark, while the group focused more about developing the Gold Saucer segments at about an hour into the presentation.

Here is the full video discussing the making of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4fE8ATUr3s&ab_channel=%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AF%E3%82%A6%E3%82%A7%E3%82%A2%E3%83%BB%E3%82%A8%E3%83%8B%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E3%82%B9

As for the Amazon sale on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, this discount covers the Amazon Edition of the FFVII title. This means that people also get a Dualsense controller skin for their PS5. While Amazon didn't share a picture of it, it noted the decoration features Cloud and Sephiroth.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, and the exclusivity arrangement ended on May 29, 2024. Amazon and Square Enix didn't note how long the sale will last.

See the Persona 3 Reload Velvet Room DLC Costumes

Ahead of the Persona 3 Reload Velvet Room DLC costumes and BGM, Atlus shared a trailer going over the add-ons. The new items will all be available to buy on May 31, 2024.

All playable characters in Persona 3 Reload get costumes that resemble the ones worn by Velvet Room attendants Elizabeth and Theodore. As for the songs included, all of the BGM tracks are ones heard in Igor's parlor.

This is the full list of music available in the add-on:

  • "Aria of the Soul (t.komine REMIX "AT 1st" P3D-EDIT ver)"
  • "Battle Hymn of the Soul (Daisuke Asakura Remix)"
  • "Battle Hymn of the Soul -USH ver-"
  • "Dance Hymn of the Soul (Disco in Velvet Room)"

Here's the full trailer for the new Velvet Costume and BGM set:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk6tdvUm9ek&ab_channel=SEGAAsia%28EN%29

It isn't uncommon for Atlus to offer us a peek at Persona 3 Reload DLC. We got to see the Persona 4 and Persona 5 add-ons in-game once their launch drew near. Though in that case, it was an opportunity to hear the BGM tracks in the song packs.

This means there's only one last piece of Persona 3 Reload DLC to appear, and that's Episode Aigis: The Answer. It is the additional expansion that brings in FES content from that enhanced PS2 release. That has a September 2024 launch window.

Persona 3 Reload is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Velvet Room DLC costumes and BGM add-on appears on May 31, 2024. The original game appeared on the PS2, while Persona 3 Portable appeared on the PSP, PC, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.

New Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Shows More Characters

The latest Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero trailer appeared ahead of Summer Game Fest 2024, and it once again focused on playable characters for the Budokai Tenkaichi game. While past installments could sometimes show variants of existing fighters, this one featured a few more original additions, Fusion characters, and a Summer Game Fest announcement.

Things start simply. We get to see Trunks face Caulifla. Then, Kale is up against Goten. It's after this that Fusion characters are revealed, and we watch Gotenks and Kefla fight. This is followed by Gogeta, Vegito, Fused Zamasu, and Vegito Blue appearances.

Here is the full May 2024 trailer for the new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84p4Lvyfyes&ab_channel=BandaiNamcoEntertainmentAmerica

We've been gradually introduced to the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero roster of characters via Bandai Namco's regular trailers. For example, Bandai Namco revealed the first 24 of them back in January 2024. 11 of the characters in that video were versions of Goku, while 13 were different Vegeta variants. Krillin, Piccolo, Tien, and Yamcha are also confirmed fighters. In March 2024, people like Burter, Dyspo, Jeice, Master Roshi Max Power, Nappa, Super Saiyan Broly Full Power, Super Saiyan Kale Berserk, Super Trunks, and Toppo appeared in another trailer.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Imperial SaGa Eclipse shutting down on Boxing Day 2024

Square Enix announced that it will end its services for Imperial SaGa Eclipse on December 26, 2024. The company also revealed plans to reduce the game's content and updates gradually. It had immediately disabled Premium Missions on the same day this announcement came out. Square Enix will then release the final story epilogue while disabling microtransactions for the premium Crown currency on June 27, 2024.

Eclipse appears as a sequel to Imperial SaGa. The SaGa subseries is particularly noted for its availability as free-to-play games on Japanese PC browser gaming platforms, such as DMM Games and Yahoo! Game.

Square Enix launched the original game in June 2015. The company then replaced it with Eclipse in October 2019. The sequel has yet to reach its fifth anniversary when Square Enix announced its closure.

This shutdown announcement also spells the end for the whole Imperial SaGa subseries, as Square Enix did not announce a new sequel in the making to replace Eclipse. However, the company has promised that it will preserve story content from the series by setting up an Imperial SaGa archive collection webpage after it has shut down the game.

Imperial SaGa Eclipse is available on PC browsers in Japan until December 26, 2024.

Interview: Nerissa Ravencroft Talks About Her Music and Love for Hololive

All of the hololive Advent Vtubers are about to hit a big milestone. In July 2024, they'll all have been with the company for a full year. In addition to talking to Shiori Novella and Koseki Bijou, Siliconera spoke with Nerissa Ravencroft about her time in hololive and affection for it, as well as her musical aspirations.

Jenni Lada: Now that you've been with hololive for a few months, how are you feeling? Is being a part of Advent what you expected it to be?

Nerissa Ravencroft:I love hololive, so the fact I'm here is still a blessing to me everyday. I get to wake up and do something I love everyday, so it makes me really, really happy. As for Advent, I truly know I've made some life-long friends in this group of amazing girls, so having them here with me every step of our journeys is a really exciting experience!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kExcBGN9fA&ab_channel=NerissaRavencroftCh.hololive-EN

You're known for your love, respect, and appreciation for your coworkers. Who haven't you gotten to collaborate with yet or meet that you'd love to work with on a stream?

Nerissa Ravencroft: I haven't really gotten to collab with a lot of JP senpai, so I'd be really happy to work together more all of them! Specifically, I'd really love to collab with (Houshou) Marine-senchou-senpai and (Oozora) Subaru-senpai. I've been able to collab with (Hakui) Koyori-senpai before, but I'd also love to get closer to her! (Tokoyami) Towa-senpai was also really kind, so I'd like to collaborate and become better friends.

You've become quite well known for your song covers. What does the process look like for preparing them? How do you determine what you would like to work on, and about how long does it take to present one?

Nerissa Ravencroft: Honestly, singing is my greatest passion. With it being a passion, I really want to do covers of songs I'm passionate about, rather than singing it because it is popular. Usually, I need to find a song I love and, I'd I'm writing English lyrics, I need to find some inspiration! Then, after recording is done, it's all about finding someone to do the instrumental, mixing, art, and music video. This process can be really fast, but it can also take up to 2 months depending on how fast everything gets turned in!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_fkTc7Hlp0&ab_channel=NerissaRavencroftCh.hololive-EN

Whose music would you love to cover going forward?

Nerissa Ravencroft: I've already gotten to sing a lot of songs I love by producers I love (Kikuo, Pinocchio-P, Deco*27), but I haven't really gotten to sing anything by Giga yet. I've been a fan for a long time, so I'd love to cover one of his songs!

How would you feel about potentially getting to release your own EP or LP album?

Nerissa Ravencroft: As if now, I've released my first every original sing, "Say My Name!" My goal eventually is to release a full album, so I hope I have the opportunity to someday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAvCm-mN8X0&ab_channel=NerissaRavencroftCh.hololive-EN

Your family and their appearances have become a fairly regular fixture on your channel. How did it come up that they would join you? Did you experience any issues with them getting to also appear? And how do they feel about their designs that you came up with?

Nerissa Ravencroft: My family is a really big part of my life, but I didn't really expect them to be apart of my content at first. But, because we are close, I can't really help but want to show them off a bit~ regarding their designs, I actually really love doing character design stuff! So it was really fun ti draw them, and then to see so much of the community bring them to life in drawings!

What would you most like to achieve leading up to your first anniversary with Hololive?

Nerissa Ravencroft: One of my big goals was to release my first original song before my anniversary. Since Ive successfully done so,, I guess I hope I can reach 700,000 before my anniversary!

You can follow Nerissa Ravencroft on social mediaand catch her streams on her YouTube channel.
