2024's most anticipated game is finally here, and the further adventures of Cloud Strife and his besties has launched on PS5. We don't get a lot of car combat games these days, and that's a shame. I miss when we regularly got fast-paced vehicular combat games that mixed guns, explosions, and high-speed chases into one enjoyable experience. You know, stuff like Twisted Metal and Interstate 76. Well, thankfully Fumes is coming, and it aims to…
Metaphor: ReFantazio is one of our most anticipated games of the year, and the next RPG from the creative team that brought the world Persona 5. After leaving Persona development team P-Studio in 2016, director Katsura Hashino founded a new internal team at Atlus named Zero Studio. Soon after, Project Re:Fantasy was…
Most social media-friendly fans know about Helldivers 2 gear having secret buffs by now, but the scale of the different statistics for guns in the game creates an even more interesting picture. And now Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt has told us that weapons can have up to 50 stats.
If you're looking for a new Baldur's Gate 3 mod to spice up your worm-infested life, look no further than this new Gunslinger one. Ranged power, innovation, and the alluring spark of danger are the ingredients in this homebrew archetype used in Critical Role's first campaign, and now you can use it in BG3 as a standalone class.
What are all the Neal Fun Infinite Craft recipes and combos? We've been addictively playing this since we learned about it, and as a result we've got hundreds of combinations and recipes now known. Here's our guide on all of them, as well as the obscure suggestions like how to get Minecraft in Infinite Craft, and even Taylor Swift.
Infinite Craft is a browser game that's recently been taking the web by storm, with endless possibilities and some that'll give you quite a giggle. It's bordering on a puzzle game, but it's a great one to open if you want to while away an hour or two figuring out all of the combinations.
In an unexpected twist, a large amount of my time is now spent playing Fall Guys, the rubberised, free-to-play competitive bean racing game. I am therefore well equipped to tell you about its Survival Update, released this week, which adds new levels, new powerups and makes it possible to create survival rounds via the in-game level editor.
Space Crew is superficially similar to FTL: you manage a crew in space as you deal with peril, put out fires and fight off aliens. It's set apart by between-mission management, during which you get the steady dopamine drip of ship, crew and equipment upgrades and customisation.
It's free to keep from Steam for the next two weeks.
The two Ori games were gorgeous platformers that challenged your dexterity while tugging on your heartstrings. The next game from developers Moon Studios seems more likely to do the former than the latter. No Rest For The Wicked is a Souls-ish action RPG that apparently thinks you're extremely wicked.
It also got a release date today during a showcase stream: April 18th.
It's looking increasingly likely that Gearbox Entertainment is going to be sold by Embracer. In a town hall with staff earlier this week, CEO and co-founder Randy Pitchford reportedly told staff that a decision had been made regarding the studio's future, with more details to be shared in March.
Embracer bought Gearbox for $1.3 billion (around £1.02 billion) in 2021, but it was reported that they were looking to sell last year as part of ongoing layoffs, closures and divestments.
PlatinumGames announced the release of the same model of glasses that Bayonetta uses in Bayonetta 3. The pair of glasses costs 38,500 yen (or about $256.50) and are now available from the Rakuten 3glass online store. Rakuten only ships to Japan.
The left leg includes a golden moon symbol with a blue crystal at temple length, and the right leg has a golden sun symbol with a red crystal engraved. Both legs are decorated with golden star symbols, and the temple part is inspired by Bayonetta's wicked weave and her magic hair attacks. Additionally, the glasses come with a special gray case, and the Bayonetta 3 logo is engraved on it.
You can take a better look at the new Bayonetta 3 glasses here:
The Bayonetta glasses are available only in black, but Rakuten offers the option to change the color for an extra 5,500 yen (~$36.60). Different options for the lenses are available as well. The option to add non-prescription standard lenses costs 5,500 yen (~$36.60,) standard prescription lenses cost an additional 11,000 yen (~$73.30,) thin prescription lenses cost 22,000 yen (~$146.60,) and super thin prescription lenses require an extra 33,000 yen (~$220).
In other Bayonetta 3 news, Movic and Animate announced in August 2023 that a Bayonetta 3 clock would release in Japan on March 2024.
The Bayonetta 3 glasses cost 38,500 yen (~$256.50) and are now available for purchase in Japan from the Rakuten 3glass online store. Bayonetta 3 is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch.
Sanrio announced that 16 of the company's characters, including Kirimichan and Charmmykitty, will be discontinued soon. The characters will be leaving Sanrio Puroland ,and their profile will disappear from the park's official website on March 31, 2024. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
Sanrio framed this discontinuation as the mascots going on an "outing" or "trip." At the time of writing this story, the company has not given a reason for the discontinuation of these characters. Regarding the "trip" for these characters, Sanrio Puroland commented "We look forward to the day we see you all again, somewhere!"
Additionally, a YouTube video will be posted on the official Sanrio Puroland official channel featuring memorable moments and pictures with the mascots that are "departing." The video will be available between March 25-31, 2024.
The full list of Sanrio characters that will be delisted at the end of March 2024 is the following:
Kirimichan and Charmmykitty are some of the more recognizable names in the list of soon-to-be Sanrio delisted mascots. The first one is a piece of sliced salmon with a tiny humanoid body and a smile. Charmmy Kitty is Hello Kitty's pet cat. She resembles the popular Hello Kitty character but has more cat-like features. They ranked 17 and 25 respectively in the Sanrio 2020 character popularity poll. Meanwhile, the remaining mascots leaving the Sanrio Puroland website are more obscure in comparison to the two aforementioned ones.
For some strange reason, I'm spending my time creating games like Final Fantasy in Infinite Craft rather than playing it. No Man's Sky is one of those games, and the process is pretty fun. Unlike other games made in the builder, the space simulator is straightforward — unlike the actual game. To learn how to make No Man's Sky the easy way in Infinite Craft, read on. Infinite Craft: How to make No Man's Sky Making the space opera is much easier than a lot of other things. It took me less time to create — even without the help of the Discord bot. Most if not all the ingredients needed are basic such as fire and wind. The best part, you'll unlock new things to use as you're building No Man's Sky. Even though making the game is easy, what you need might be a stumper. Below you can see exactly what you'll need for No Man's Sky. I have seen other methods of making it, but if you want to do it quickly and without much backtracking use the i...

Summon Crystals are valuable in FF7 Rebirth as they make Summons stronger while making them easier to obtain. If you've arrived in the Junon Region, let me show you all the Phoenix Summon Crystal Locations in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7). How to find every Phoenix Summon Crystal in FF7 Rebirth Screenshot: PC Invasion There are three Phoenix Summon Crystals to find, and I've labeled their locations on the map above. When you reach the region, you can gather two of them, but the final one is a little harder to obtain. Before you go hunting for Summon Crystals, you'll need a Chocobo, so make sure you hit the ranch before exploring. Let me explain how to get each Summon Crystal. Phoenix Summon Crystal #1 Screenshot: PC Invasion You'll likely stumble upon this Summon Crystal by accident, as there's a side quest nearby. The area looks complex, but it's pretty straightforward, and you'll need a Chocobo to scale the walls. W...

Throughout Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you'll slowly unlock new Folio upgrades, but which ones are the best for Cloud? Since each party member has their own Folio "skill tree," let's go over the best upgrades to prioritize for Cloud Strife. FF7 Rebirth: Best Cloud Folio upgrades Cloud is great for up-close-and-personal attacks and ranged slashes, so he's an all-purpose fighter. He has some great Folio upgrades you should grab before anything else, so let's tackle the best upgrades for Cloud in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Screenshot: PC Invasion Ranged Blade This Synergy Skill allows Cloud and either Barret or Red XIII to perform a ranged attack. Activating it in sequence will trigger a three-hit combo, and you can even perform it when airborne. Since this can deal both Physical (with Barret) and Magical (with Red XIII) damage, it's incredibly versatile. As a Synergy Skill, it's a free action that you don't have to wait ...

While most of Chadley's Combat Simulator trials are fairly easy to unlock in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, some of them can be a pain. If you aren't paying attention to enemy types and making sure to Assess every foe you encounter, then you'll find yourself wandering around the game's massive open world in search of one or two enemy types so you can gain access to new Combat Simulator missions. To unlock Grasslands Region Intel: Level 2 in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you need to battle 24 enemies in the Grasslands region. The Grasslands region is home to several enemy types, but you won't be able to find them all just by walking around the overworld. All Grasslands Enemy Locations in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth To unlock Grasslands Region Intel: Level 2, you only need to defeat 24 different enemy types in the Grasslands. There's no need to Assess them (although you'll want to do that to unlock another Grasslands Intel mission). Related: FF7 R...

No Rest for the Wicked looks incredible, but will I be able to play it on consoles like Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5? Will the answer change between Early Access and the 1.0 launch? Driver updates aren't simply for improving game performance, sometime they're a necessity to keep you safe. Nvidia has published eight rather scary-sounding security vulnerabilities, but they've thankfully already been fixed, thanks to driver updates that are now ready to download across most operating systems.
Nvidia GPUs are used in some of the best graphics cards, but their supporting software can still be vulnerable to various exploits, and it's always worth keeping your drivers updated to the very latest versions.
What are all the Neil Fun Infinite Craft recipes and combos? We've been addictively playing this since we learned about it, and as a result we've got hundreds of combinations and recipes now known. Here's our guide on all of them, as well as the obscure suggestions like how to get Minecraft in Infinite Craft, and even Taylor Swift.
Infinite Craft is a browser game that's recently been taking the web by storm, with endless possibilities and some that'll give you quite a giggle. It's bordering on a puzzle game, but it's a great one to open if you want to while away an hour or two figuring out all of the combinations.
The best way to fill your gaming PC space with great audio is of course to get hold of some of the best computer speakers. There are plenty of options to choose from so knowing what features to prioritize, what your budget is, what sort of music and sound profile you like (big bass or an accurate, flat sound, etc), and what sort of volume you want are all crucial questions you'll need to ask yourself.
If that sounds like a lot to decide yourself, worry not as our best PC speaker guide will explain how to zero in on the best type of computer speaker for your needs and budget. You can find out our tips for finding the best speaker for you at the bottom of this list.
Speakers aren't strictly necessary for every gaming PC setup, as the best gaming headsets give you more of an edge in FPS games and often provide more immersion than speakers. However, while the best wireless gaming headsets can provide you with a degree of freedom, there's nothing quite like filling your office or gaming cave with high-fidelity audio.
I wanted to love Redfall. I previewed the game almost a year ago today in Bethesda's dimly lit London studio, and while I didn't walk away with the highest hopes, a part of me dared to dream that we'd finally get a new, good vampire game. Unfortunately, it largely failed to deliver, and early previews of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 haven't done much to rile up my inner Beast either. So, when EvilVEvil crossed my desk, I was excited to sink my fangs into a different vampire adventure - and I walked away with my hunger somewhat sated.
After achieving the fastest speeds seen on a PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD with the T700, the Crucial T705 sees solid-state read and write speeds pushed further still. Now, we have a drive that runs just shy of twice as fast as the best examples of PCIe 4.0 storage. While this feat is impressive, though, its benefits are not immediately apparent, especially in gaming, and the potential for thermal throttling sandbags an otherwise excellent, if expensive, SSD.
Cyberpunk 2077 meets Doom Eternal meets Titanfall 2. Now, I'm not a game-maker, but I would say that sounds like a pretty good recipe. You've got fast-paced, run-and-gun action, stark, sci-fi visuals, and the type of parkour and wall running that we all miss from Respawn's underplayed FPS campaign. Then again, 2023 was an exceptionally busy year. Between all the Starfields, Diablo 4s, and Baldur's Gates 3s, it's little wonder some superlative games just didn't get the attention they deserved. With a flashy new update and a big discount, one of the best shooters of the past 12 months - and maybe more - is just waiting for you to scoop it up on Steam. With a criminally low player count despite rave user reviews, this is a bona fide hidden gem.

We rank the Drop CSTM80 among the best gaming keyboards, as one of the best choices for enthusiasts thanks to its hot-swappable PCB and incredible tactile feel. Now, you can bag yourself one of Drop's more premium-feeling gaming-focused designs with a discount of up to 45%.
What are some cool Minecraft build ideas? The sandbox game remains one of the best of all time over a decade on from its release, but such a long time in one game means you might be running out of ideas. We've been there: you've already built a city, a castle, or even a Wild West outpost, so what's next?
Luckily, there are plenty of unique builds, farms, and creations out there to inspire your next Minecraft project. Unlike our favorite Minecraft house ideas or Minecraft castles, for example, this list is more varied, and contains plenty of inspiration. From a stylish Minecraft Nether Portal to automated farms, from massive decorative builds to homely aquariums, these ideas can be copied directly or simply used to inspire your next Minecraft build.
Who doesn't love a good Star Wars reference? We certainly do, and we'll start by saying that this BB8 gaming PC might actually be the droid you're looking for. PC modder Kamil Lee combined his love for orange and white color schemes, as well as cute Star Wars droids, with this super-clean water-cooled PC build, featuring a custom distro plate design and several coats of white paint.
Thanks to our rapidly growing PC building Facebook page, we've seen many custom gaming PCs, from mods based on existing case designs to scratch PC builds. You can even submit yours for consideration right here. But first, let's find out how Kamil built this gaming PC.

So, dive into the expansive world of multiplayer with these incredible Minecraft servers, or head to the bottom of the list if you need to know about hosting your own Minecraft server.
Want to know about new Genshin Impact characters? During each new update, there's usually at least one banner with a minimum of one brand-new character. The banners feature characters with increased drop rates, including one five-star character and three four-star characters.
While we know which characters are likely to appear on the next Genshin Impact banners, the characters featured in this guide might not be playable right now but they can be found in Genshin Impact. We've also included some characters who are rumored to join the free PC game down the line but may not have an in-game model just yet. While none of this information is official until Hoyoverse says otherwise, here's a round-up of all of the current rumors and speculation.
Command and Conquer. Half-Life. Baldur's Gate. Civilization. A handful of series can rightfully claim a place in PC gaming history, responsible for shaping the platform and its culture over the past three decades. But Fallout is something truly special. Before Bethesda built Skyrim and Starfield, and back when Obsidian was still known for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2, the apocalyptic FPS and survival shooter became the proving ground for each studios' respective game-making styles. In Fallout 3, Bethesda built one of the most frightening and flexible open worlds in history. In New Vegas, Obsidian perfected its ability to make true, freeform RPG games. But before that even, there were Black Isle and Interplay, which laid the groundwork for Fallout's iconic retro-futurist world and all its fundamental mechanics - Fallout 2 remains, arguably, the best in the series. Whichever game you want to start with, now you can own the entire mainline Fallout series for $25. Six games. The entire history of one of PC's greatest achievements. And it's available now.
What are the current and upcoming Genshin Impact events? A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events.
There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. HoYoverse often launches a web event every update, which gives players a chance to learn about the latest Genshin Impact characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. Similar to some of the best RPG games, the rewards for completing events in Genshin Impact range from in-game items like primogems and mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies.
A brand new Cyberpunk 2077 update has just arrived, and it's a big one for gamers with Intel CPUs, as well as anyone who likes to play with ray tracing enabled.
If you've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 on one of the best graphics cards, withd ray tracing ramped up for the best visual experience, you may have noticed some issues with NPC hair. Well, these problems have now been fixed, and Steam Deck users who were also trying to play with ray tracing will no longer be met with a crash.
Want to know about the Genshin Impact maintenance schedule? Before every major Genshin Impact update, Hoyoverse takes the popular anime game down for maintenance, which tends to last a few hours while the team applies all of the new content.
These major patches bring everything, from all-new Genshin Impact banners and Genshin Impact events to completely new regions, like Inazuma or Sumeru. Just like some of the best new MMOs, the Genshin Impact maintenance period happens at the same time for everyone across the globe. We'll keep this guide updated with the latest information on any planned maintenance, as well as when we expect the game servers to come back online in one of the best PC games for lovers of evolving single-player experience.
Tekken 8 reignited the spark of Bandai Namco's long-running series with a roster full of worthy fighters in a whole new game. Customization with skins and costumes was highly desired and in the 1.02.01 patch on Thursday, February 29, Bandai Namco finally launched the Tekken Shop where you can obtain new styles for free, or for real-life money. It's the paid items in the shop, however, that have caused some controversy.
Genshin Impact banners rotate every few weeks on a precise schedule, and we always know what to expect thanks to regular updates from Hoyoverse. The developer of the anime game always keeps its fans in the loop with regular Twitter posts and live streams, so you can plan where you want to spend your hard-earned primogems.
With a two to three-week turnaround for banners, the roster of Genshin Impact characters is always changing, and the free PC game regularly introduces two new characters to wish for. Every limited-time character banner - or event wish - contains a five-star character and three four-star characters with increased drop rates. There's also a Genshin Impact weapon banner, which runs alongside each character banner and changes weapons every update.
The popularity of the Steam Deck and other handheld gaming PCs has undoubtedly proven to be a massive boon for AMD, but Nvidia has remained conspicuously absent from the market. This could be set to change, though, as new rumors claim that an Nvidia handheld is in the works.
The march against PC cable clutter is continuing unabated, as Phanteks has just unleashed several new cases that support power connections on the rear of the motherboard PCB, as used on the latest Asus BTF and MSI Project Zero components. What's more, these new case designs won't break the bank, with prices starting at just $59.99.
What are the best PC games? From triple-A world-beaters like GTA 5 to enchanting indie releases such as Rocket League, these classics are the biggest games across Steam, Epic Games Store, and more.
Finding the top PC games is no easy task. There are, you may have noticed, quite a lot of them. From the 50,000-plus Steam games to… all those other platforms you love so much, there has never been more choice available to the discerning PC gamer. From the best RPG games to the most mind-blowing FPS games, here are the best PC games of all time, according to us. There are even some free PC games thrown in there, too.
There are some things that you expect to pop off on Steam - Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield. Did I expect Astral Party - a Mario Party-style multiplayer game that trades out Princess Peach for X-rated anime girls - to be pulling over 30k concurrents on Steam? No, I didn't, and yet here we are.
If you've been feeling like Total War: Pharaoh is lacking some of that raw brutality you'd expect from a game called 'Total War' then worry no longer. Following on from an established trend in Creative Assembly's recent historical strategy games, the latest Total War game now has its corresponding blood DLC - this time appropriately called Blood and Sand - that ramps up the gore to the borderline X-rated levels you'd expect from an HBO series.
What are the best superhero games on PC? After all, the world has comic book fever. Look around and you'll see it: it's all BIFF this and POW that, as they fight for superhero supremacy. People with towels pegged to their shoulders dive into stores, searching with non-X-ray-vision for the best DC games, while those swinging a red, white, and blue painted bin lid peruse the internet for lists of the best Marvel games.
Before this feature spirals off into an inescapable whole of comic references, here is our list of the best superhero games you can play on PC, including two of the best Batman games. That should be enough super-powered goodness to keep you happy until the next blockbuster lands. And the best PC games are super in their own right, too.
I come to you with an important question today, readers. Has there ever been an actually good sewer level in a video game before? I propose to you that there has not. Sewer levels are the worst. They have always been the worst, and will always be the worst. There is no redeeming feature that can make sewer levels good, fun or enjoyable, and I come to you today saying they must stop. No more sewer levels, developers. Please. I beg you. Especially you, Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster. You're the chief offender in this whole mess, and both my nostrils and my sanity simply cannot take it anymore.
When Ori And The Blind Forest developers Moon Studios announced that their next game would be a top-down, online action RPG, my initial reaction was, 'Heck yes, sign me the hell up for this Souls-y, Diablo-y hack and slash.' Having now played the opening 90 minutes of the game ahead of tonight's Wicked Inside showcase, that initial excitement has settled into more of a 'Hoo boy, this thing is hard as nails. Folks who like Elden Ring and Dark Souls are going to go absolutely bananas for it.' It's definitely verging on the edge of being just a teensy bit too punishing for my personal taste, but even though my arse got thoroughly whomped time and time again during this initial prologue section, there's still something about No Rest For The Wicked that's left me quietly captivated.
It's a tale as old as time: when a great, popular game rises to the top of the Steam charts, scammers and chancers will do everything in their power to steal some of that glory for themselves. The latest victim is Helldivers 2, with scammers putting up two separate fake pages for it on Steam over the last 24 hours. Each page listed Arrowhead as the developer, and PlayStation as the publisher, along with big discounts of 50-75% off to tempt players into buying the cheap version instead of the real one.
I'm not surprised that I'm playing so much Balatro, because the deck-building poker game is fantastic and it seems just about everyone is playing it. What surprises me is that I'm playing in a way I rarely play roguelikelike games: launching enthusiastically into Endless mode. Turns out, what I want from Endless modes is an end. A brutal and hilariously sudden end.
Hope everyone enjoyed the RPS Game Club returning with Cobalt Core, though personally, I've always found deckbuilders a bit short on the screaming slaughter of unclean heretics. Put down the cards and pick up a boltgun, then, as this month's Game Club pledges eternal service (until April) to Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
Your most commonly visible bones are your teeth, so what better way to worship at the fleshy altar of Doom than by polishing those bones with an electric toothbrush whose little LCD screen is running Id Software's seminal satanic shooter? The latest delightfully weird device rising to the eternal question "Can it run Doom?" is a WiFi-enabled 'smart toothbrush', which is juuust powerful enough to run a version of Doom. You can even control it with your mouse. Here, check this out.
There are moments where Sons Of The Forest matches the sublime paranoia of Subnautica. There's that same lurching, exquisite tension as you delve deeper and deeper into darkness where you are not welcome, supplies dwindling, footfall echoing, monstrosities skittering about in the black. On my most intense plunge into one cave, I groaned aloud as the path I was praying must be the exit twisted back on itself, sending me first down a rope, and then into a long slide down, down into the earth, back into the spindly clutches of pale, bifurcated mutants. When I finally saw the sun again, I could have cried.
It's still a bit wonky, but the full 1.0 release makes the Forest a fuller, livelier and more inviting (or else alluringly off-putting) prospect for a wander - even, as in my case, a wholly solo one. Consider this your cue to peel open some skin pouches.

The arcade racing game series Ridge Racer is having its 30th anniversary, and Bandai Namco has still not forgotten one of its classics. The company announced that it will hold the Ridge Racer Night 2024 DJ event to celebrate the anniversary milestone on July 7, 2024.
Composers who have contributed many tracks to the series will attend the event as DJs. The list will include Shinji "Sampling Masters MEGA" Hosoe, Ayako "Sampling Masters AYA" Saso, Nobuyoshi "sanodg" Sano, Hiroshi Okubo, and Sho Okada.
People who want to attend the event will have to purchase a ticket that costs 9,900 yen (~$65.95). Each ticket will also come with an exclusive CD containing two 25-minute-long medley tracks produced by Sampling Masters MEGA and AYA.
Bandai Namco has also started uploading soundtracks from the series on digital music platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music. The first two titles that received the treatment are the 2004 PlayStation Portable version of Ridge Racer and its 2006 sequel Ridge Racer 2. The company promised that it will release more soundtracks from other series titles as the DJ music event draws near.
The inaugural Ridge Racer entry appeared in arcades in late 1993, but Namco then brought it to the PlayStation as its launch title in Japan in late 1994 and the West in 1995. Namco also made a tradition of producing new series entries as launch titles for subsequent consoles, such as Ridge Racer V for the PS2, Ridge Racer 6 for Xbox 360, and Ridge Racer 7 for the PS3. However, that ended with 2011's releases for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. There has not been a new Ridge Racer entry since the Western-exclusive console game Unbounded in 2012 and the mobile app Draw & Drift in 2016.
The Ridge Racer Night 2024 DJ event will be held to celebrate the series' 30th anniversary at WombLife in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
There seems to be something going on with the original Octopath Traveler possibly being delisted in some way, as the Switch eShop listing is showing as "not available." If someone already owns it, it still shows as "already downloaded." [Thanks, Wario64!]
This issue is only showing up on the Switch eShop. The PC listing on Steam and Xbox One product page on the Microsoft Store are unaffected. However, the Switch version of the game was originally published by Nintendo, not Square Enix. As Gematsu's social media pointed out on the Wario64 post, the publisher now changed. This means this is likely a case of Octopath Traveler being temporarily delisted as part of the shift.
When Octopath Traveler launched on the Switch, it appeared both digitally and physically. As such, it is still possible to find a cartridge with the game on it. Also, there are stores who sell codes for digital copies. If someone buys and redeems one of those, it will give them a digital copy even though the store doesn't have it up for purchase.
Octopath Traveler is immediately available. People can find it on the Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Octopath Traveler 2 is out on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a mobile game spin-off called Octopath Traveler: Conquerors of the Continent.
Mages revealed a brand-new visual novel titled Iwakura Aria. Its story will be set in 1966, when Japan was in the middle of rapid post-war economic growth. The company will release the game for Nintendo Switch in Japan in late June 2024.
The story of Iwakura Aria will focus on the eponymous character, the frail daughter of a foreign trade company owner who almost never leaves her mansion. However, the visual novel will instead make the player take the role of Kitagawa Ichiko, an orphanage-raised girl who got hired as a housemaid in the Iwakura mansion.
The visual novel will feature a sketchbook where Ichiko channels her drawing hobby into sketching things she has seen across, which will also play major parts in the storyline. She can also visit all the rooms inside the mansion to gather clues about the family's secrets. The game will have nine endings that show different futures for Ichiko in the year 1999. An additional path to Another Ending that delves further into the mysteries will also be unlocked if the player has reached the True Ending.
A promotion trailer for the new visual novel has also appeared on Mages' Japanese YouTube channel:
Mages has been known for releasing the Science Adventure series that include Steins;Gate and Anonymous;Code, as well as visual novels based on anime franchises like The Quintessential Quintuplets and KonoSuba. This new visual novel will take an entirely different approach from all aforementioned titles with multiple art styles ranging from paintings to sketches and "Real Fantasy & Suspense Adventure" as its official genre. However, the Science Adventure and Memories Off series composer Takeshi Abo will return to produce the soundtrack for this title.
Iwakura Aria will be available for Nintendo Switch in Japan on June 27, 2024.
Good Smile Company announced it canceled the Nendoroid of former Hololive Vtuber Yozora Mel. The figure was in development and had appeared at various stages of the process at different events.
It's been quite some time since we'd even seen this figure. The last appearance was at Hololive Super Expo 2023 about a year ago. It and the AZKi figures appeared as unpainted prototypes. Painted prototypes of Aki Rosenthal and Yuzuki Choco also showed up at the same time.
In case you missed it at the time, here is how it was shaping up:
While the Yozora Mel Nendoroid won't be released, a number of pieces of merchandise based on the Hololive Vtuber did appear ahead of her leaving the company. Banpresto released a Hololive If Relax Time figure of the character. That was a static, budget figure of her. There were also "birthday" items like a hat.
McDonald's Japan announced that it had ended sales for the Kirby Happy Meal sets much earlier than planned. The restaurant chain cited the set's immense popularity as the reason behind the early closure. In addition, it also canceled the third wave of the promotion, which was previously scheduled to start on March 8, 2024.
The Japanese news outlet 4Gamer further corroborated the meal set's sellout. It noted that McDonald's Japan saw a pace in sales that far exceeded its expectations ever since it launched the first wave of Kirby sets on February 23, 2024. The newer toys from the second wave, which were up for sale on March 1, 2024, were also sold out in a number of branches within the same day.
McDonald's Japan previously revealed eight Kirby toys that would feature in the franchise's Happy Meal sets in mid-February 2024. The original plan was to sell the first four toys including a Waddle Dee on February 23, 2024, and then switch over to the latter four that also included a Yellow Kirby on March 1, 2024. The chain also planned to launch the third wave for a week from March 8, 2024, where it would provide the remaining stocks for all eight toys.
The Kirby Happy Meal sets were available in McDonald's Japan branches from February 23, 2024, until March 1, 2024. The toys were sold out before the chain could complete the promotion on March 14, 2024.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are on the way, with a release date set for May 24, 2024. The announcement also confirmed people can carry over progress from PS4 and Xbox One versions.
It has almost been eight years since Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 first debuted. The hybrid action and fighting game first debuted back in 2016 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Since then, Bandai Namco supported it with additional ports and new DLC that expanded the experience. While Switch and Stadia versions followed in 2017 and 2019, it's been about four years since that last release. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 were announced in October 2023 alongside a new roadmap for the game.
Bandai Namco hasn't discussed what could be coming after or alongside these releases. However, the aforementioned roadmap did mention more DLC would be on the way. It said that there'd be characters and scenarios coming to the game.
The last major add-on arrived back in May 2023. That involved Gohan Beast and Orange Piccolo. Cell Max also showed up. There was also a free update in October 2023 that added the Cross Versus mode for everyone and a Festival of Universes event.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available for the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will debut on May 24, 2024.
Kay Yu, the primary developer of fan-made Survivors-like Holocure, announced a new Hololive game called Holo X Break that will feature Vtubers from the 5th and 6th generations in Japan. The developer also confirmed that update 0.7 for Holocure is still in development.
Based on the screenshots and trailer, Holo X Break appears to be a side-scrolling beat-em-up in the vein of River City Girls, which developer Kay Yu worked on as a key animator. The developer's other work credits include Mushoku Tensei, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, and Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp.
The game's plot will follow the Hololive Vtuber agency's Momosuzu Nene, Omaru Polka, Shishiro Botan, and Yukihana Lamy as they attempt to rescue the company's CEO from Secret Society HoloX. While it is currently unknown what platform Holo X Break will release on, the previous game was only available for PC via Steam and Itch.io.
You can watch the trailer of the game in the tweet below, or catch the Japanese language trailer here.
Here are the first four screenshots from the new Hololive game that Kay Yu shared with us on social media:
Kay Yu's previous game Holocurecame to Steam in August, 2023, after approval from Hololive owner Cover Corp, alongside update 0.6. The developer also explained how to get save data from the previous version to transfer to the Steam version, for those who were already playing.
Holo X Break will launch sometime in March 2024, though platforms at this time are unknown. Holocure is immediately available through Steam and Itch.io.
As part of the ongoing celebration of the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, Capcom announced an Anniversary Program will air on March 12, 2024. However, fans expecting news about the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds will be disappointed, as the company confirmed there will be no news or announcements on the game.
While not a new game like many may have been hoping, the announcement did state that the program will reveal the top 10 winners of the 20th Anniversary Hunter's Choice vote which took place in 2023. The monsters that ranked 11-20 will be revealed gradually on Twitter in the days leading up to the event, beginning with the Crimson Glow Valstrax that placed 20th in the poll.
You can find the announcement and statement tweets below:
Recently, Capcom and Pasela announced the permanent opening of a Monster Hunter-themed bar in Osaka, while Monster Hunter and Resident Evilthemed shirts also appeared via Amazon's Merch on Demand website.
Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Wilds was announced during the The Game Awards ceremony in December 2023. However, new Capcom hasn't fully revealed the title.
The Monster Hunter Anniversary Program will air on Tusday, March 12, 2024, at 4am PDT, 6am EST or 11am GMT. Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled for release in 2025 for PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
Thanks to the 4.5 Special Program, we now know the Genshin Impact release date and next banner characters. The new events headed to the game also appeared in both the showcase and a new trailer ahead of the update's March 13, 2024 debut.
First, here's the trailer for the update. It will take us back to Mondstadt. The Alchemical Ascension seasonal event will take place and involve running a potion shop.
As for the new 4.5 Genshin Impact characters, the only totally new one is Chiori. She ended up being teased back in January 2024. She will be a five-star Geo character who wields a sword. Brittany Lauda voices her in English, while Ayane Taketatsu plays her in Japanese. When she attacks, she'll summon an automaton named Tamoto to assist her. There will also be a Cisoria Chapter: Act 1 story quest associated with her. The first half of the banners will feature Chiori and Itto. The second half will have Neuvillette and Kazuha. Also, the new Chronicles Wish Event Wish will feature designated five-star characters like Albedo, Diluc, Eula, Jean, Klee, and Mona.
Finally, here's the full showcase. It goes over the various additions, as well as touches on the new Character Training Guide and upcoming Feline Fortress Furrdyssey and Rolling Crossfire minigames.
The 4.5 Genshin Impact Special Program is done, and there are three new Primogem codes to redeem. You can claim the items associated with them only on March 1, 2024.
Here are the Genshin Impact Primogem codes for Special Program 4.5
As with every Genshin Impact showcase, codes appeared between major announcement. Each one gives people 100 Primogems you can spend on things like banner pulls and some sort of in-game item to help improve characters and weapons. You get 300 Primogems total, so basically enough for at least one 160 pull on the banner.
The PS4, PS5, and mobile versions of Genshin Impact all involve redeeming the codes in-game. All you need to do is head into Settings, Select account, and then choose to redeem the codes one at a time. If you play on a PC or you have linked your account, then you can head to the official site. You can then copy and paste them that way. All bundles of items arrive in your in-game inbox after being redeemed.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The 4.5 update will arrive on March 13, 2024. People can use and redeem the 4.5 Special Program Genshin Impact Primogem codes until the end of the day on March 1, 2024 or they run out. You can also catch the Special Program on YouTube.
In many cases in FFVII Rebirth, Cloud is a required party member, but you can rearrange the rest of your teams to help them best suit certain situations. You can have multiple party presets, so may as well use them! Here are my suggestions for a few teams you should consider when building up a group.
Best balanced FFVII Rebirth team for any situation:
I suggest either going with Avalanche or Cloud and the girls in this situation. So, you team should look like:
Cloud
Tifa
Aerith or Barret
Here's how this party works. Start by controlling Tifa to build up the enemy's stagger gauge with her fast (and powerful) hits. Switch to Cloud when the enemy's guard is broken to deal major damage. Aerith and Barret are there for ranged support and magic. (Yes, Barret can be a good mage! He also gets the Electric Impulse, Fiery Impulse, and Icy Impulse ranged abilities that let him use an elemental magical attack without MP.

Best fast FFVII Rebirth team for quick hits:
Sometimes, you just want to get battles over with as soon as possible. There aren't an overwhelming number of enemies in the world, but you might want to get things done. Here's who I suggest having along:
Cloud
Red XIII or Tifa
Yuffie
Cloud is, as usual, there because he has to be. But the other three folks? They're fast. With Yuffie, Doppleganger is a godsend since she'll double-up on hits once it is active. Her Art of War ability is also good for a flurry of attacks. Not to mention throwing her Shuriken and attacking from range helps build up stagger. Red XIII is naturally swift, but I have him as an option here for the Supernal Fervor ability that casts Haste on everyone or the Watcher's Spirit one that increases every ally's ATB. As for Tifa, well, she's just also super fast and strong!

Best FFVII Rebirth team for dealing AOE damage to an opposing party
A lot of people have AOE potential in FFVII Rebirth, so there are a lot of party options when building the best teams to hit a lot of enemies. So… you can mix and match! Here are the folks with AOE skills you could use.
Cloud
Aerith or Cait Sith
Red XIII or Yuffie
You're stuck with Cloud, but that's not a bad thing this time! His Triple Slash hits up to three enemies. Snow Flurry and Wind Current hit multiple foes too. I also found Prime Mode was good against groups.
In the case of Red XIII, he's also got some slashes that will hit multiple enemies. However, I super appreciate him when fighting groups due to his Stardust Ray ability. It hits a lot of enemies and is great for increasing stagger and dealing damage. But also, a lot of his abilities can hit multiple foes, with Wildfire being one of the earlier ones that can.
However, you may want to swap Yuffie in for him. That's because Shooting Star and Windstorm are also both exceptional AOE attacks. Not to mention Doppleganger comes in for the save again, due to doubling up her attacks.
Aerith and Cait Sith are honestly a bit interchangeable here, and I think I might prefer Cait! His Fortune Telling could randomly help with damage. But the really helpful AOE moves here are Cold Front, Heatwave, Moogle Kaboom, and Moogle Magic. There are so many options for elemental and nonelemental attacks. With Aerith, Cold Front, Jet Stream, Rolling Thunder, and Sorcerous Storm are all there to deal elemental magic over an area.

Best FFVII Rebirth party that can take a hit:
There are a few boss fights in FFVII Rebirth that you know are going to hurt going into them, which means the best teams would be able to soak up damage while also dealing a lot of pain out. Though in this case, there's really one crew that's best to roll up to that fight.
Cloud
Barret
Cait Sith
Cloud has a lot of counter potential, which is great. Plus, I mean, he has to be there. But both Barret and Cait Sith can take a hit. In the case of Barret, he's naturally buff. Steelskin increases that and stops interruptions while he's attacking. He also has Lifesaver that lets him tank by increasing his health and drawing attacks that would hit others. With Cait Sith, you need to use the Let's Ride ability to summon his Moogle first. Then, Dodge & Dive can be used to evade and counter. You can also equip a weapon ability bonus that increases the Moogle's defense for a Sentinel sort of ability.
Screenshot by Siliconera
Best FFVII Rebirth party for flying foes:
You will not believe how often you'll run into fights where there will just be flying enemies. There are a lot! You'll need to hit them! They won't swoop down, so it might take a while! Here's who to bring along to counter that sort of situation.
Cloud
Barret
Yuffie
Okay, Cloud sucks for this. You have to have him along typically, though. Barret and Yuffie are the two ranged folks you need. Plant Barret somewhere, hold down the square button, and don't let go until everything on the screen is dead. With Yuffie, press the triangle button, keep mashing square until her shuriken comes back, then throw it back out again and repeat until everything is dead.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024.
Developer Toys For Bob announced on February 29, 2024 that it has gone indie. You can read the entire statement via its website.
The statement starts with a brief summary of Toys For Bob's previous work on games like the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot franchises. It then states that it wishes to take this time to return to "being a small and nimble studio." Aside from announcing that it has gone indie, the Toys For Bob statement also adds that it is exploring a possible partnership with Microsoft. It's not working on any games right now, but it's excited to develop new stories and characters. According to the statement, the team will still maintain the same enthusiasm and passion on its new journey.
Toys For Bob is a developer founded in 1989. It was a subsidiary of Activision from 2005 onwards, until now. It created the Star Control and Skylanders franchises, with Star Control II considered one of the greatest games of all time.
This news comes at a time of great upheaval in the video game industry. Earlier this year, in January 2024, Microsoft announced that it will lay off 1900 Activision, Blizzard, and Xbox staff. Sega of America also announced a lay off of around 60 employees, and EA announced that it will lay off around 670 employees.
Toys For Bob has gone indie and so far, it is not working on any current projects.
Cospa opened up pre-orders for cosplay uniforms of Gekkoukan High School from Persona 3 Reload. You'll be able to use these outfits as part of a costume.
Atlus helped to supervise the outfits' creations, so you can be sure that they're authentic recreations. All of the details of the designs are on the uniforms. There is a boy version, as well as a girl version. As a note, Cospa does not offer the top and the bottom as a set. You'll need to purchase them separately. As another note, the male uniform is cheaper than the female one for whatever reason. The male top costs 52,800 JPY ($351.20) and the bottom costs 17,600 JPY ($117.05). Meanwhile, the female top costs 61,600 JPY ($409.70) and the bottom costs $20,350 ($135.35).
The Gekkoukan High School uniform in Persona 3 Reload is on the plain side, much like the uniform for Yasogami High School. It features a black blazer jacket over a white shirt, with the school's crest over the chest. The guys have a black ribbon and the girls have a larger red one. You can also personalize the way that you wear the uniforms, much like the characters in the game. For example, Fuuka wears a different shirt underneath the blazer and Yukari wears a pink sweater instead of her blazer.
Persona 3 Reload is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Cospa does not offer international shipping.
Pako Battiliar and its evolution, Mazo Familiar, are available in Vampire Survivors is you know how to unlock them. Bats, beware! How to unlock Pako Battiliar in Vampire Survivors To unlock Pako Battiliar in Vampire Survivors, you need to defeat a total of 161,616 bats. Odd number, I know, but it should be easy to do if you play a lot of Bat Country. Don't worry, you don't need to defeat 161,616 bats in one run — as long as you kill that many bats, it doesn't matter how many runs it takes you or what stage you do it in. Related: How to unlock new weapons in Vampire Survivors Among Us DLC The Pako Battiliar is a great weapon that sends a wave of bats across the screen, damaging everything in their way. In many action games, you have the ability to stop your attacks by blocking, but can you block to cancel attacks in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth? Blocking to cancel attacks can help you when you're stuck in an attack combo or sequence, but you need to stop the incoming danger. Let's go over how or if you can cancel your attacks. FF7 Rebirth: Can you cancel attacks by blocking? Unfortunately, from what I've seen in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you can't properly block cancel attacks. Although this is a fast-paced action game, if you're in the middle of a basic or unique attack, blocking doesn't immediately stop the attack. But I've found that you can much more easily dodge cancel attacks. When trying out all characters to see if they can block to cancel attacks, the only one that seemed to do it the fastest was Tifa. If you've pressed Triangle to use Tifa's unique attack, blocking can sometimes halt the attack. But for everyone el...
