Nanoleaf Shapes Ultra Black Hexagons review

As LED lighting technology has improved, become more efficient, and more intelligent with app connectivity, its price has decreased. There's a huge range of LED lighting options to jazz up your gaming space or home, whether you stick the best LED strip lights around a monitor or desk, or adorn your walls with LED panels like the Nanoleaf Shapes series.

I've often found lighting for gamers to be on the plastic and tacky side – as if you can't enjoy gaming and good design simultaneously. But Nanoleaf does things differently, creating lights and decor that feel right in a modern home, or a gaming setup. If you want to add colorful accents to your walls, and you want to be able to link them up to your smart devices for total control and customization, you might have been looking at Nanoleaf's Shapes collection.

The Shapes Limited Edition Ultra Black Hexagons Starter Kit consists of 9 panels, which you can arrange in lots of different ways on your wall with sticky adhesive pads. You can also add to your setup later if you want a bigger panel. In this review, I'll share my honest experiences of setting up the Ultra Black Hexagons panels, what they're like to use, and importantly, what they look like in real life when the light is on and off.

Fallout New Vegas mod takes aim at a lore-friendly map expansion

If you're here, you can't get enough of Fallout New Vegas and its irradiated Mojave. There's so much to love about Obsidian's world from Novac to Nipton, and with The Strip offering up a shining beacon to work towards, but what about across the Colorado River where Caesar's Legion resides? We don't get much, especially to the south of the map, and this in-progress, DLC-sized content mod wants to change that.

The most divisive horror game ever is yours for less than $2 right now

From Balatro and Helldivers 2 to Last Epoch and Dragon's Dogma 2, 2024 is a year already stuffed full with some of the best new PC games you could ask for. Ahead of us lies the Elden Ring DLC, Manor Lords, FF14 Dawntrail, Frostpunk 2, and more. With that in mind, returning to a cult classic 2010 survival horror game probably isn't top of your list, especially when it comes with a notable list of caveats. Yet here we stand. I can't really recommend in good conscience that you buy Deadly Premonition. What I can say is that it's perhaps one of my favorite games of all time, and that it's currently 95% off in a Steam sale, meaning you'd pay less than $2 if you decided to pick it up right now.

What Are the Best New Spring 2024 Anime Series

We're seeing lots of new anime series on HIDIVE, Crunchyroll, and other streaming services as the Spring 2024 season begins, and it may be difficult to find which one is best for you. After all, we're seeing returning series like Konosuba and Black Butler, as well as new series like Kaiju No 8 and Mysterious Disappearances. Let's all talk about the shows we're watching or are excited about now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54-oOvimVeE&ab_channel=HIDIVE

I'm really curious about the Spring 2024 anime series Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Nightand Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young AgainThe former seems like it could be touching and an interesting drama where we see how people grow and connect. As for the latter, seeing a pair of grandparents get a second chance to be young sounds like a relaxing sort of series. -- Jenni

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWPnmrc-Nys&ab_channel=Crunchyroll

Jenni's picks are among the few new series I'm the most intrigued by. Sure, there are a lot of great new seasons of returning series like Black Butler and My Hero Academia, but, sadly, not a ton of brand new series. However, I can't help but be intrigued by the latest Isekai, Re:Monster. The idea of a guy reincarnating in the body of the weakest goblin in a fantasy world feels like a neat twist on the usual formula that demands at least a try. -- Cody

Aethermancer certainly looks like a game I'd love. Part monster tamer, part turn-based RPG, and part roguelite, the vibrant pixel graphics bring the next game from the Monster Sanctuary team at moi rai games to life in an astounding way. If, like me, this is the first you're hearing of Aethermancer and you can't get enough, it's having an alpha test soon that you can have a chance to get involved with.

Unique but forgotten FPS game brought back from the dead by fans

Making a successful multiplayer shooter isn't easy. Not everyone can make an Overwatch, Fortnite, Call of Duty, or Apex Legends, and upcoming hero shooters like Marvel Rivals are entering an incredibly popular market in 2024, and we can easily say the same of the shooter space over the last decade too. LawBreakers was one of the unlucky ones, as the low-gravity hero shooter never got the playerbase it needed to lift off the ground, but thanks to a fan campaign for new servers, it might just be coming back.

Lethal Company update 50 is here and it's the biggest yet

I love Lethal Company, but it's been a little while since I teamed up with friends to explore those hostile moons and attempt to hit our scrap quota. That's about to change, however, as Lethal Company update 50, also known as 'the hopping update,' arrives on Steam courtesy of solo developer 'Zeekerss.' It might have been a while in the making, but this is looking like the largest Lethal Company we've seen, packing in multiple new locations, several dangerous entities to watch out for, and a whole host of balance changes.

Fallout London is delayed indefinitely to avoid Bethesda clash

The much-anticipated Fallout London has been delayed indefinitely, in order to avoid a potential clash with the imminent Fallout 4 next-gen update for the post-apocalyptic open-world RPG. One of the most ambitious and exciting fan projects ever, I and many others have been eagerly anticipating this vast Fallout 4 mod that's essentially the closest we'll get to a Fallout 5 any time soon. Previously pushed back to avoid the Starfield launch and set to release on Tuesday April 23, Team FOLON says that Fallout London will now come out "as soon as we've fixed it" following the Bethesda update.

The ultimate Fallout guide to getting started with the RPG series

It's official. The Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime is a hit with critics and fans alike, with a certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 85% audience score at the time of writing. Not too shabby for a videogame adaptation set in a violent post-apocalyptic world where former Vault dwellers must adapt to their new, irradiated surroundings.

Some of those who binge-watched Fallout season 1 will likely already be fans of the RPG games. We certainly enjoyed it, as you can see in our Fallout show review. However, if you are as new to this explosive series as a Vault Dweller is to the surface, welcome! It's great to have you here. Our comprehensive Fallout guide will give you the lowdown on all the games so far, which one you should start with, and tips for exploring post-apocalyptic America.

The Tiger Won't Eat the Dragon Yet Is a Touching Manga

The Tiger Won't Eat the Dragon Yet is one of those manga series that offers a slow burn. However, its first volume suggests that we're going to gradually watch a meaningful relationship between two characters grow as we also learn more about their world. We're seeing how a predator and prey situation grows into an actual relationship.

The world of the series is a fascinating one. All animals are also capable of shape shifting into more human (or humanoid) versions of themselves. We begin with a dragon, who appears young despite being older due to the way his species ages, being targeted. This is because of rumors and myths about dragon flesh, which cause other races to want to devour it.

Naturally, this attracts the white tiger. She's initially interested in getting and feeding upon the dragon's flesh. However, upon spending time with him, she just… doesn't. Instead, the two end up getting closer and coexisting. We see this develop into not just a situation where she's not just protecting her future meal with her immense strength and skill. The dragon looks young and small, due to his age, but he's much smarter than the tiger is. Due to the nature of tigers being a much shorter-lived species and more reactionary, she's not as book smart and may not read situations as well, and so he's helping her as well.

We're seeing all these situations in which they help each other. It can absolutely feel friendly, but perhaps even familial as well. The tiger is becoming protective of the dragon. She's looking out for him and we can even see concern. Likewise, she ends up meaning something to him. It becomes more than maybe outsmarting her to use the situation to his advantage. He's willing to hurt himself to save her, showing how quickly the stakes increase.

I also love the idea of how the lore surrounding the dragon and tiger could end up shaping the story and their relationship going forward in the manga in The Tiger Won't Eat the Dragon Yet. We're learning more about the dragon and tiger races bit by bit as the story goes on, due to interactions with other creatures. Moments when other members of their species come up also end up proving quite insightful. It lays groundwork for both playing big parts in later volumes.

With The Tiger Won't Eat the Dragon Yet, we get to see this fascinating dynamic develop between the tiger and the dragon in the first volume of the manga. The two come to understand and even rely upon each other, and what I'm seeing here in the first installment makes me want to see how their relationship progresses. Likewise, the lore that's building up around them is gradually becoming more fascinating.

The Tiger Won't Eat the Dragon Yet volume 1 is available now, and Yen Press will release volume 2 of the manga on August 20, 2024.
