PCGamesN Sunday, April 14, 2024 1:03 PM As LED lighting technology has improved, become more efficient, and more intelligent with app connectivity, its price has decreased. There's a huge range of LED lighting options to jazz up your gaming space or home, whether you stick the best LED strip lights around a monitor or desk, or adorn your walls with LED panels like the Nanoleaf Shapes series. I've often found lighting for gamers to be on the plastic and tacky side – as if you can't enjoy gaming and good design simultaneously. But Nanoleaf does things differently, creating lights and decor that feel right in a modern home, or a gaming setup. If you want to add colorful accents to your walls, and you want to be able to link them up to your smart devices for total control and customization, you might have been looking at Nanoleaf's Shapes collection. The Shapes Limited Edition Ultra Black Hexagons Starter Kit consists of 9 panels, which you can arrange in lots of different ways on your wall with sticky adhesive pads. You can also add to your setup later if you want a bigger panel. In this review, I'll share my honest experiences of setting up the Ultra Black Hexagons panels, what they're like to use, and importantly, what they look like in real life when the light is on and off. PCGamesN Sunday, April 14, 2024 12:25 PM If you're here, you can't get enough of Fallout New Vegas and its irradiated Mojave. There's so much to love about Obsidian's world from Novac to Nipton, and with The Strip offering up a shining beacon to work towards, but what about across the Colorado River where Caesar's Legion resides? We don't get much, especially to the south of the map, and this in-progress, DLC-sized content mod wants to change that. PCGamesN Sunday, April 14, 2024 10:32 AM From Balatro and Helldivers 2 to Last Epoch and Dragon's Dogma 2, 2024 is a year already stuffed full with some of the best new PC games you could ask for. Ahead of us lies the Elden Ring DLC, Manor Lords, FF14 Dawntrail, Frostpunk 2, and more. With that in mind, returning to a cult classic 2010 survival horror game probably isn't top of your list, especially when it comes with a notable list of caveats. Yet here we stand. I can't really recommend in good conscience that you buy Deadly Premonition. What I can say is that it's perhaps one of my favorite games of all time, and that it's currently 95% off in a Steam sale, meaning you'd pay less than $2 if you decided to pick it up right now. PCGamesN Sunday, April 14, 2024 11:47 AM Having the best SSD for gaming will seriously improve your gaming experience, and give your system a speed boost when running and loading the latest PC games. A solid-state drive (SSD) runs off flash memory to write and read data digitally, and any system can benefit from swapping from an aging mechanical drive to a more modern SSD. Since the advent of the NVMe protocol, high-capacity M.2 drive storage has never been so small or affordable. But which gaming SSD is right for your needs? There are plenty of excellent gaming SSDs on the market, from well-known brands like Samsung, Corsair, and Western Digital, as well as more niche options that still perform well. To help you choose the best SSD for gaming, we've benchmarked the latest solid-state drives, comparing their read and write speeds against and reporting on their real-life performance compared to the manufacturer's claimed specs. The latest PC games can require high storage requirements, meaning it's more important than ever to ensure your gaming PC or gaming laptop has plenty of available space. Using years of PC gaming experience and our in-house testing, we'll help you find the best SSD for gaming. We're seeing lots of new anime series on HIDIVE, Crunchyroll, and other streaming services as the Spring 2024 season begins, and it may be difficult to find which one is best for you. After all, we're seeing returning series like Konosuba and Black Butler, as well as new series like Kaiju No 8 and Mysterious Disappearances. Let's all talk about the shows we're watching or are excited about now.
I'm really curious about the Spring 2024 anime series Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Nightand Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again. The former seems like it could be touching and an interesting drama where we see how people grow and connect. As for the latter, seeing a pair of grandparents get a second chance to be young sounds like a relaxing sort of series. -- Jenni
Jenni's picks are among the few new series I'm the most intrigued by. Sure, there are a lot of great new seasons of returning series like Black Butler and My Hero Academia, but, sadly, not a ton of brand new series. However, I can't help but be intrigued by the latest Isekai, Re:Monster. The idea of a guy reincarnating in the body of the weakest goblin in a fantasy world feels like a neat twist on the usual formula that demands at least a try. -- Cody
