PCGamesN Wednesday, June 4, 2025 6:48 PM A new Thief game. For anyone who remembers the halcyon years of The Dark Project, The Metal Age, and Deadly Shadows, that's surely one of the most pleasing sentences imaginable, especially if they were stung by Square Enix's questionable 2014 reboot. And yes, it's happening. The series that defined stealth, inspired Deus Ex, and gave us Garrett is finally, officially back. But I'm afraid to say there's a catch. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 4, 2025 3:53 PM One of the most surprising, out-of-nowhere indie hits of the 2010s was undoubtedly Undertale, but its episodic spinoff, Deltarune, is just as highly regarded and beloved. Developer Toby Fox already released the first two episodes of Deltarune in 2018 and 2021, but the wait for Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 has been a long one. Now though, they're both here as part of the complete and 'final' version Deltarune. While it was always going to be a momentous occasion for the pixel art RPG, I'm completely blown away by just how high it's flying on Steam right now, rising above recent behemoths like Elden Ring Nightreign on the platform's best sellers list. There are 4v4 team battles in the game, and heroes and villains from across the Marvel catalog appear. Kawada announced it is working with Bandai Namco to release two Tamagotchi Nanoblock sets based on the original virtual pet. Each one is set to arrive on July 12, 2025 in Japan. They will cost 1,760円 (~$12) each. While US listings aren't live yet, Amazon already has one placeholder for the white variant.
Each Tamagotchi set ends up building both one replica of the virtual pet as well as an additional item. Each one is based on the first generation model, with one being white with black buttons and the other blue with a clock design and yellow buttons and accents. They are just about two inches tall (58mm) and come with a ball-chain keychain like the toys did. The white kit includes enough pieces to build a baby black Tamagotchi character, and the blue one comes with an egg. Each one features stickers to place over the LCD screen "face" with different designs. Both are only two-star difficulty kits with 200 to 220 pieces.

A much-requested feature is heading to Genshin Impact, as HoYoVerse confirmed it will add Artifact custom loadouts that will let you more quickly equip different saved sets of Artifacts for characters as part of the update changes. There will be some limitations, but the Fast Equip section will allow each character different options.
The announcement went over how this can be set up. In the Genshin Impact Fast Equip section for Artifacts, you need to choose Quick Configuration to start to make custom loadouts. There, you can search based on Main Affix, Set Type, and Minor Affix, as well as set an option like ones that aren't equipped. That will then set up your selection as a Custom Configuration, with Plan 1 being the first option. Up to two of these plans can be saved as sets. This applies to each character.
This is one of two Artifact changes in Genshin Impact, as Set Filter will be available in 5.7. It is designed to help with comparing different pieces of equipment. Both equipped and unequipped items can be searched and compared.
There will be other gameplay changes in Genshin Impact 5.7. Retry Challenge will be an option in Spiral Abyss to ensure you get every star. It will also allow you to claim rewards from the Challenge Ended screen. The Talent Demo and Test Run sections will go over character abilities and roles. We will also be able to use Original Resin, Condensed Resin, or Transient Resin to claim rewards from Ley Lines and Domains.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The 5.7 Special Program airs at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm CET on Twitch and YouTube on June 6, 2025, and update is expected to appear on every platform on June 18, 2025.

Shueisha announced the first volume of the manga adaptation of Metaphor: ReFantazio is now available in Japan. It is available via stores like Amazon Japan, which will ship to the US, for ¥572 (~$4). There's no word on when or if it will release worldwide.
This first volume of the manga is 192 pages long and is only in Japanese. Since the first chapter was about 60 pages, the second 45, the third 45, and the fourth 45, it seems like the first four are the only ones that appear in print. So when the second volume debuts, it will begin with Chapter 5: The Curtain Rises. As far as the story goes, it covers from the start of the adventure to when the Tournament for the Throne begins, Will decides to enter the contest to become king, and the group starts the search for a Gauntlet Runner.
Here's how the cover of the volume looks:

It is possible to read the Metaphor: ReFantazio manga in English even though the first volume is only available in Japan at the moment. MangaPlus simulpubs the new chapters at the same time as they launch in Japan. Chapter 5 debuted worldwide on May 20, 2025. The next chapter will appear on the site on June 19, 2025. Note that this is a title where only six chapters will be available to read for free without any sort of subscription or payment. So once that update drops, it would be wise to immediately catch up so you don't miss out once chapter 7 appears. Given the current pace of the series, that chapter will likely debut in July 2025.

The next Atelier entry will skip one of Sony's consoles. The Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist and the White Guardian official site confirmed the PS4 version won't appear worldwide. Koei Tecmo and Gust didn't offer an explanation why. The Japanese version of the site still mentions the platform. [Thanks, Netto's Game Room!]
Back in September 2024, the developer and publisher announced Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist and the White Guardian, which follows the mobile game Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, and said it would be on the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC in 2025. Sometime since then, the PS4 version ended up being dropped. The site still mentions the other three. Koei Tecmo even changed the description for the trailer shared back in September to remove that console. However, the video itself still mentions the PS4 release.
At the bottom of the English-language site, there is an update on platforms. Koei Tecmo noted, "Please be advised that the PlayStation®4 version will not be sold outside of Japan."
As the PS4 is not region-locked, someone could import a copy of the game from that country or go with the Asian release. However, someone would need to double-check languages. While Asian versions can include English among the language options, the Japanese versions tend to only include Japanese text.
The Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist and the White Guardian will appear on the Switch, PS5, and PC worldwide in 2025, and it will also be on the PS4 in Japan.

We all know Deltarune's age-old question: how do you find a chapter's secret ending and bosses? Sure, you can speedrun the chapter and get the game over with, but with how in-depth and complicated these secrets are, it's no wonder everyone wants to know how they work.
Deltarune Chapter 3, in particular, is no joke. Not only do you need to show peak skill in completing the entire chapter, but it's very easy to miss this secret's numerous steps. Even forgetting to do one thing can lead to you restarting a good chunk of the chapter.
There are major spoilers for Deltarune Chapter 3 below. If you haven't played through the chapter yet, proceed with caution!
Table of contents
How to find Deltarune Chapter 3's secret ending
Uncovering Deltarune's Chapter 3 secret ending requires getting three S-ranks during Tenna's game show. As you acquire S-ranks, you'll unlock access to an "S" labelled door that, upon entering, unveils a secret minigame containing special items.
Below are the three initial items you'll find:
Finding the first two keys lets you eventually find the Shadow Mantle, which you'll need to equip to survive against the chapter's secret boss, the Knight. Otherwise, anyone not wearing it will be continuously wiped out with a one-hit attack. You'll need to survive the battle and, after some time, inflict one final attack to receive your prize.
You also won't have Susie or Ralsei to help you during the initial minigame. You, playing as Kris, will have to complete each segment of the minigame by yourself with no outside help. However, it mirrors the first round's map, making it easy to traverse if you have it fresh in your mind.
Finding the S-rank room's minigame
Before you can access the secret ending, you'll need to achieve your first S-rank and unlock the "S" labelled door on the top-right side of the Green Room. If you finish round one and receive an S-rank, head through this door to find a run-down set of dressing rooms, with the secret minigame room to your left.
![]()
Entering this room will reveal an "original" minigame that came before the version you played on Tenna's show. At first, you won't have a controller to play it, but leaving the room will reveal an "Odd Controller" on the floor. Pick it up and return to the previous room to start playing the original minigame.
If you didn't achieve an S-rank initially, you have two options: replay this part of the chapter until you get one, or pay 1,500 points to the Point Merchant south of the Green Room. If you have 1,500 points, head out of the Green Room's south exit and follow the hallway until you find a golden Tenna statue. Turning right here will lead you to the merchant, who'll let you achieve S-rank immediately in exchange for 1,500 points. Now, you can access the "S" room without any issues.
Finding the Ice Key
During this first minigame, you'll play as Kris only, with no Susie or Ralsei to follow you. The map is almost identical to the one you played during the chapter's first round. Rather than exploring a map to get points, though, your job is to level up Kris by defeating enemies so you can be strong enough to find the Ice Key.
What's the catch, then? you don't have a sword to fight them with. At least, not at first. You can find a sword by heading south from the map's entrance until you see a fish in a pond. From here, head left, south twice, east, then south one last time to find a staircase leading to your sword. With your new weapon in hand, it's time to grind levels.
![]()
Finding the Ice Key requires reaching max level with Kris. Defeating every enemy on the map, including fish, flowers, and those odd purple guys, will bring you to level three. Once you hit level three, head to the easternmost side of the map to find a long path leading to two cactus. By this point, you'll be strong enough to cut this down, letting you explore a new region and defeat its enemies for your final level.
![]()
Once you reach max level, head back to the path with the two cactuses. Standing in front of where the cactuses were, use your newfound strength to cut through the trees directly south of you. You'll need to continue this until you pass through around four to five screens. After some time, you'll find a treasure chest containing the Ice Key, knocking out the first of three items required to find Deltarune Chapter 3's secret ending and boss.
This article is being updated over time as more information is revealed.

Each time you venture around Castle Town in Deltarune, you'll uncover more questions than answers about what's going on, what secrets lie in this area, and how to find more information. If you've completed Chapter 3 and started exploring Castle Town, you'll spot a new and peculiar TV building.
Inside this TV building, you'll encounter a room that you initially can't access called Mike's Room. It requires a special code to enter, but knowing what this is poses a major challenge. Let's find out what Mike's Room code is during Deltarune Chapter 4.
What is Mike's Room code in Deltarune Chapter 4?
Mike's Room code is 6453. You'll find phone numbers throughout the chapter that correspond to each number, allowing you to stitch together the code and discover the secrets beyond this door. After entering the new TV building and proceeding to the "Mike" door, you'll be given the option to enter this code and progress further.
There is a possibility that multiple codes work for this particular door. For example, some players within the community have reported using different codes, such as 5962, to unlock this door. While 6453 worked for us, you can try using 5962 as an alternative in case the former doesn't work for you.
At the time of writing, there is limited information available on the secret boss in Chapter 4 and other Easter eggs present in the chapter. While there is a high chance that Mike's room is linked to Deltarune Chapter 4's secret boss in some way, there is no official confirmation on this for the time being. Nonetheless, we, alongside the community, are actively working to uncover more secrets as the game continues to skyrocket in popularity following Chapters 3 and 4's official release. We'll continue updating this page as we discover more details.

What good is a big W in gaming if you can't share it online and boast about it to friends and enemies alike?

To take a screenshot on Switch 2, use the screenshot button (the square button with a circle inside on the left JoyCon or left side of the Pro Controller). To upload it, access the Album button from the Home menu, or press the Home button shortly after screenshotting.
From your Album, select the screenshot you want and press A to open up its Menu. Then, select Upload to Smart Device to find it on your Nintendo Switch app on your phone.

Even though Disney Dreamlight Valley launched in 2022, the community is still alive and well, thanks to its continuous updates. We've witnessed the introduction of numerous new characters and realms, and now, we're on the brink of another thrilling expansion. Let's talk about Disney Dreamlight Valley's next update.
Table of contents
Disney Dreamlight Valley's next update release date
The next DDV update, ''Mysteries of Skull Rock," will be released on June 18, 2025. This patch marks the arrival of Peter Pan and the continuation of the Forgotten's storyline. The Mysteries of Skull Rock update will launch at 8am CT to align with previous updates.
Unlike the previous Tales of Agrabah and Wonderland Whimsy updates, there is no new realm door to explore this time. Instead, you'll delve into Skull Rock and discover a pirate's cove. This cove is where most of the update's events will take place, particularly with Peter Pan and the Forgotten's quests.
Alongside Peter Pan's introduction and The Forgotten's expanded storyline, we're also getting the Adventures in Never Land Star Path. It'll include everything from mermaid cosmetics to pirate outfits to fit Skull Rock's theme.
You can recruit the two characters to the Valley after you've completed their designated challenges. More Friendship Quests will also unlock when reaching milestones in your relationship. Each level typically rewards you with character-themed items, including clothing and furniture.
In past updates, Disney Dreamlight Valley introduced several new characters, including Jasmine and Aladdin, as well as the Cheshire Cat and Alice. We've also received new gameplay features, such as Floating Islands, DreamSnaps, and Daisy's Boutique challenges, to give us different activities beyond befriending villagers.
![]()
Gameloft has also confirmed, through a Free Content Roadmap blog post, that we'll receive another Summer 2025 update alongside Autumn and Winter updates. The Storybook Vale's storyline finale also has a confirmed release date of July 9.
While we don't know the official release dates for Disney Dreamlight Valley's Autumn and Winter content updates, we anticipate they'll launch sometime in October and December, respectively.
All previous Disney Dreamlight Valley updates
Over time, Disney Dreamlight Valley has introduced dozens of new characters, several realms, and paid expansion packs to turn a seemingly simplistic life simulation game into a complex series of quests. Every major DDV update adds at least one or two characters, some cooking and crafting recipes, and plenty of cosmetic items to make your village a little more interesting.
Here's a complete list of every major update that's released so far, including those planned for release:

Part of Deltarune's charm lies in being able to take in its unique visuals, look closely for any secrets, and immerse yourself in its world. By default, though, it'll launch with a small, minimized screen, with no clear indicators on how to enter fullscreen.
Fortunately, not all hope is lost. There are a few quick and easy ways to enter fullscreen mode while playing Deltarune on any platform. That way, you'll be able to see everything regardless of whether you're new and trying out the game for the first time or a returning player hopping into a newly released chapter.
How to set Deltarune to fullscreen mode
There are three options you can use to set Deltarune to fullscreen mode:
The easiest option of these three for PC players is to press F4. Normally, the fullscreen option on Windows is F11, but Deltarune has it set to F4 instead. Pressing this will instantly set your game to fullscreen. You can also use Alt and Enter simultaneously to achieve the same effect.
![]()
Alternatively, if you're using a controller and don't have easy access to a keyboard and mouse, you can use Deltarune's in-game config menu to set fullscreen mode to "on." Here's a complete step-by-step to doing so:
You'll also find options for turning auto-run on and off, adjusting your volume, and fine-tuning your controls as needed. Otherwise, you'll now have fullscreen display active, allowing you to see Deltarune's visuals much clearer. Similarly, you can reverse it at any point using any of these three options if you prefer its smaller display.

On June 3, we finally got to see The Witcher 4 up close, albeit in the form of a vertical slice and a tech demo that demonstrates its use of the latest Unreal Engine 5. What CDPR presented was some of the most awesome and most advanced gameplay to date—but given past experiences, I'd rather be cautious than optimistic.
During State of the Unreal, CD Projekt Red gave a live presentation of The Witcher 4's technical capabilities, utilizing the latest and greatest version of Unreal Engine 5 to demonstrate just how far we've come. From realistic movement, physics, environments, simulated LOD that looks great from any distance, and some of the most interactive and dynamic NPCs ever shown on screen, CDPR certainly is going all out on this title.
They manage this, too, while keeping the game running at a smooth 60 fps on the base PS5, all the while having ray tracing turned, a fact even more impressive than the tech demo itself. The developers also retained the charming and recognizable art direction inaugurated by the previous game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, though with different cultural and societal characteristics as we are no longer in Old Temeria, but far up north in the forested, snowy Kovir that carries heavy inspirations from trade principalities of Baltic Russia.
![]()
The world feels responsive, it looks good, and Ciri, the protagonist, interacts with the world, as do all the NPCs we saw, in an organic and direct manner. You bumped into a man carrying a bunch of apples? Well, he just dropped the crate and children are flocking like birds to peck away and steal what they can. Guards spit at you for being a filthy mutant, and merchants convince passers-by that their piece of fish is the best in town in natural exchanges. The world, simply put, is alive.
However, CDPR soon pointed out that this is not, in fact, part of The Witcher 4 proper. It's a specialized tech demo and a vertical slice that serves to showcase the various new and existing Unreal Engine technologies utilized in the company's new game. While it is a sneak peek of what may come, it's still a prepared, baked, and decorative showcase, not the actual game. And this immediately awoke my fears, built on past experiences with CDPR's demos and showcases, that always somehow wound up being radically different than the actual game.
Think of 2014's E3 (RIP) demonstration of The Witcher 3. We were given realistic lighting, volumetric smoke and clouds, realistic water simulation, better graphics, almost an entirely different environmental engine, and so much more, that made The Witcher 3 look as one of the best games ever conceived. Novigrad's textures would not look the way they did in that 2014 promo until 2022, when the Next Gen update for The Witcher 3 came out, while other systems I mentioned above are still absent from the game, no matter how hard modders tried to make up for them.
![]()
Downgrades in CDPR titles do not end there, however. Back in 2018, we saw the first extended demo of Cyberpunk 2077, a game so ambitious it ended up being its undoing (at least initially). Crowd simulations, graphics, combat, and the now infamous wall climbing mechanics were all there in the demos and showreels, but never in the actual game. What's worse, we even saw a lot of story and RPG elements that promised endless freedom of choice and consequence, but what we received was a mostly linear game where lifestyles only changed the intro and some dialogue choices, if that.
Cyberpunk 2077's high ambitions, nowhere near the stuff we saw in this new demo, also led to its incredibly poor launch, delisting from the PlayStation store, and countless refunds, controversies, and years of poor performance and reputation. It took the company until patch 2.0, several years down the line, to fix what they could, but the game's advertised depth remained absent, which could very well happen to The Witcher 4 if the company doesn't play its cards right this time around.
Thankfully, CDPR, having learned from its own past mistakes, has clearly defined what it showed as a demo and nothing else, but the fact remains that the company showed it knowing full well people would be sold on it as soon as they saw it. After all, what we saw today, though impressive and beyond anything we are used to in games, is marketing and an effort to hype up the upcoming title. And hype is at an all-time high, with CDPR not having a lot of wiggle room left in the trust department to disappoint once again.
And to avoid being disappointed for the third time, let us instead be cautious. I will certainly curb my excitement for the game, even though The Witcher 3 is my favorite title of all time. After all, downgrades and marketing have fooled me enough times as is, and I would rather be satisfied with whatever CDPR delivers, than overestimate and expect that which, if the past is anything to go by, often never comes.
What do you think? Will The Witcher 4 manage to deliver on the ambitions it flaunted today? Let us know below.

Nintendo Switch 2's coolest new feature is Game Chat, allowing you to hang out with friends and talk with them while you play games.
Game Chat increases the fun by allowing you to hook up a USB-C webcam so you can see your friends and even their game screens as you play. This is totally optional, too, and you can just use plain old voice chat like the old days as well.
But to use Game Chat, there are a few prerequisites and things to know beforehand. Here's how to access Game Chat and use voice chat on Nintendo Switch 2.
How to use Game Chat on Nintendo Switch 2
![]()
First, you need a webcam that connects via USB-C. Connect it to the Nintendo Switch 2 while in docked mode via the USB-C port on the top of the console, like in the stock image above from Nintendo. You will also need a smart device, like a smartphone, to sign up.
Next, press the C button on your right JoyCon or Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. This will initialize the Game Chat setup. Agree to the Game Chat terms of service, and then use your smart phone to scan the QR code that appears on screen.
Log in to your Nintendo account and then enter in your phone number to link Game Chat to your account. You will receive a code via text message that you must enter on the Nintendo website on your smart device to link your Nintendo Online account to Game Chat.
Once linked, you can then access your friends list to choose who you approve to invite and accept invites from on your friends list. Once the setup is complete, any time you want to use Game Chat, simply press the C button.
![]()
Pressing the C button will bring up the above menu that allows you to Create Chat or access the Chat List. In the Chat List, you can find any Game Chats you have been invited to. When you Create Chat, you choose which friends you want to invite to your chat session.
Voice chat will work via the webcam hooked up to your Switch 2, or you can use an approved microphone or wired headset with microphone plugged into your Pro Controller. Other in-game voice chat possibilities will be on a per-game basis.

The Nintendo Switch 2 has finally arrived, and the super upgraded Switch supports the vast majority of the original console's games on top of any new ones coming out, like Mario Kart World.
If you're upgrading from Switch 1 to Switch 2 and no longer need the old console or just want to play all of your games and data on the new one, there's a handy and simple data transfer operation that you can do once you have both consoles next to each other.
Here's what you need to do to transfer save data from Nintendo Switch 1 to Switch 2.
How to transfer data from Nintendo Switch 1 to Switch 2

The data transfer operation is part of the initial setup process of the Nintendo Switch 2 when you originally turn it on, but if you missed it or had to skip it, here's how to start it again. First, you will need both consoles in the direct vicinity of one another. Then, here's what to do:

At this point, you'll need your Switch 1 (or other Switch device) open and powered on. On the device you're receiving data from:
Alternatively, you can also trigger the Switch 1 to transfer data to the Switch 2 like this:
Once you're started, follow the directions on-screen for both devices and the the data transfer will begin. Once complete, unfortunately, you will have to then re-download any digital games that you had on the Switch 1 and transferred to the Switch 2, but your save data from all your games should be available on the Switch 2 now.
Enjoy your docked or handheld console gaming!

The Disney Dreamlight Valley team aired a developer update today, and it provided a look at everything we can expect to see arriving in the valley soon. One of the biggest announcements is the continuation of the main storyline as we finally unlock the ability to travel inside Skull Rock.
Skull Rock will open in the Mysteries of Skull Rock update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, arriving on June 18. This iconic location from Peter Pan is bringing with it the film's protagonist and a surprising second villager—our old friend, The Forgotten.
![]()
The last Dreamlight Valley story quest, not including DLCs since they follow a separate narrative, was released with The Remembering update on June 7, 2023. This quest is called Between Skull Rock and a Hard Place, and during it, Skull Rock moved to open up slightly. Since then, we've all been eager to venture inside Skull Rock and discover what might be hiding inside.
After waiting just under two years, the Mysteries of Skull Rock update is opening Skull Rock and freeing Peter Pan. He's the main new villager featured in this update, and he's bringing with him the lost boy's tree as his house, plus several friendship rewards to unlock.
The second character included in this update is The Forgotten. Our dark, shadowy counterpart has been wandering the valley aimlessly since the last story quest, so with this update, we can finally befriend them, name them, and help them find purpose in the village as we continue the main storyline alongside them.

All new updates also bring with them fresh Star Path events to complete, and this one is no exception. The Adventures in Neverland Star Path is adding plenty of pirate and mermaid-themed items to the valley, inspired by Peter Pan. This event features new Dream Styles for Minnie Mouse and Goofy, a pirate Monkey companion, a bubble-blowing conch machine, and much more.
Critter companions are currently just adorable sidekicks who follow us around the valley, but they're getting a massive upgrade in the next update. All critters will have friendship levels and rewards, similar to those villagers possess, after this update launches.
As you hang out with your critter friends, your friendship will increase, and they'll help you gather resources around the valley. We'll also be able to name all companions who don't have preset names from Disney films like Hei Hei and Pua.
The first dog critter companion is being added with this update, and it's none other than Prince Eric's loyal dog Max from The Little Mermaid. He's part of a Premium Shop bundle, so you have to spend Moonstones to add him to your collection. He can dig up nearby digging spots, so he's both adorable and incredibly helpful.

Shortly after the Mysteries of Skull Rock update, we're also getting the finale of The Storybook Vale DLC with The Unwritten Realms update on July 9. It's bringing with it Maleficent, whom we met during The Mistress of All Evil quest, and Princess Aurora from The Sleeping Beauty.
Even more DDV update content beyond this was teased as a vague roadmap for the rest of 2025 was unveiled. Later on in summer 2025, we'll "get in touch with our emotions," which seems to be an Inside Out-related teaser.
Fall 2025 will have us venturing back into The Beauty and the Beast Realm to meet an "enchanting new duo," likely Lumiere and Cogsworth, all while a "thrilling" Star Path event also unfolds. Lastly, winter 2025 will make our "dreams come true" with another villager, seemingly Cinderella, based on her carriage and the reference to the song "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes."

There's lots to look forward to, and a showcase stream is already set for sometime later in the year to unveil even more details. Showcase events usually unveil a new DLC, so the valley has quite a bright future, packed with plenty of content to look forward to.

How do you feel about game-to-movie adaptations, Destructoid? While I may have some strong and negative opinions about, say, anime-to-live-action adaptations, I'm actually quite impressed by many recent movies and TV shows that originated from popular games.
Occasionally, I'll hear news of a game I never expected to get a movie or TV show adaptation, only to find out it's getting one within the year. I was even surprised to hear about Phasmophobia getting a movie adaptation in partnership with Blumhouse. While there are a ton of mediocre options out there, there's also plenty of fantastic movie and TV show options to check out.
One of my favorites is, of course, the most recent and ongoing Sonic the Hedgehog movies. I'll be honest: I initially expected these to either stray too far from the game series' main themes or give off uncanny valley vibes, leaving me pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the first two. I haven't had a chance to watch the third one yet, but I'll get there soon.
We also can't forget some older works that pioneered the game-to-movie adaptation movement, with the 1995 Mortal Kombat film perhaps being one of the most beloved examples. Although I haven't personally seen this particular Mortal Kombat adaptation, it gets a special shoutout for being a fan favorite within my family.
Although it isn't out just yet at the time of writing, I'm also looking forward to a recently announced Elden Ring movie. I've never touched Elden Ring, but I'm fascinated by its world and how it could look on the big screen. While it could end up being terrible, it could just as easily be one of the greatest game-to-movie adaptations ever created.
All of this isn't even accounting for games that have been adapted into TV shows. I could go on for hours about how much I enjoyed shows like Arcane, Fallout, and Cyberpunk Edgerunners. The list goes on, and that's not even mentioning shows like The Last of Us that I've yet to watch but am often reminded of by friends and family.
What are some of your favorite game-to-movie adaptations, Destructoid? Do you have some upcoming films you're looking forward to? We'd love to hear more in the comments below!

Hey you. Yes, you—the beautiful gamer who took a few minutes out of your day to fill out our first reader survey. First off: thank you. Seriously. We recently asked for your thoughts, and you delivered.
Your feedback has already shaped some of the things we're cooking up behind the scenes. Whether it's tweaking the kind of news we prioritize, planning deeper dives into your favorite games, or just figuring out how to make it easier for you to find the stuff you actually want to read, your input is making a real difference.
But the work's not done. We're launching Survey Round 2: Electric Boogaloo (okay, not the official name), and we'd love it if you'd hit us with your thoughts one more time. It's short, sweet, and every response helps us evolve into the best possible version of Destructoid. This survey is open to anyone—even those of you who didn't get a chance to contribute to the first one.
So if you've got five minutes and opinions (we know you do), click the link below and tell us what's what.
Thanks again for being part of what we do. We may write the articles, but you're the reason we're here.
