How to build in Minecraft Legends enemy bases

Want to build in Minecraft Legends enemy bases? During Piglin invasions in Minecraft Legends, the best course of action is to build defenses to keep the enemy hordes at bay. While many of these structures are also quite handy when it comes to removing Piglin bases, things aren't quite as simple when it comes to your own offensive options.

All Piglin bases are built on Netherrack and, unfortunately, attempting to build anything on this tainted, red ground will greet you with a message stating that this is impossible in the RTS game. Thankfully, this is something you can get around as long as you take care of a couple of steps before attempting to do so. You'll definitely want to wake up the Minecraft Legends First minions if you're taking on Piglin bases.

Ahead of this Dead Island 2 review, I struggled forming an opinion having experienced a mix of delight and disappointment, and found that others experienced the same - so that is exactly the hook we're going with. Dead Island 2 is a slow starter, but that doesn't mean you won't get infected.

We begin our story after the last evac plane out of Los Angeles crashes, leaving you, and the limited other survivors, stranded during a zombie apocalypse. You get bitten, you're immune, and someone tells you you're the key to a vaccine. Sure, we've heard it all before. But unlike The Last of Us, we're not really here for the story.

GTA 6 release date rumours, news, and speculation

When is GTA 6 coming out? Given how many years it takes to create open worlds of the same calibre as GTA 5, it's no surprise that Rockstar Games has already spent years developing GTA 6. Like most developers, Rockstar prefers to keep its secrets close to its chest until they're close to the end of development, so we may not see any official GTA 6 gameplay for some time.

Early gameplay footage of GTA 6 recently surfaced online, along with lines of source code from the game itself. Rockstar has issued a statement on Twitter which confirms that an unauthorised third party managed to access and download information from their systems, including development footage for the open-world game. However, its statement notes that the developers don't believe this leak should impact the development of their long-term projects or disrupt their live service games.

In the world of turn-based strategy games, it's probably fair to say that we've been waiting a heck of a long time for Jagged Alliance to make its next move. Almost a quarter of a century has passed since the last numbered entry in the series, and the many attempts that have been made to recapture its tactical, mercenary magic since then have been mixed at best, and reviled at worst. Haemimont Games, the devs behind Tropico and current custodians of the upcoming Jagged Alliance 3, know this, and their publisher THQ Nordic said as much back in September 2021 when it was first revealed, assuring players they were going to create a game that "really does justice to the Jagged Alliance legacy".

But in an era where turn-based tactics games are now increasingly defined by genre titans such as XCOM and Into The Breach, I'm not sure that legacy means all that much anymore. I've been playing a substantial early chunk of Jagged Alliance 3 over the last week or so, and its decision to pare back crucial information such as chance-to-hit and other modern conveniences has mostly left me feeling frustrated and annoyed rather than daring and excited. The writing also made me cringe so hard at times I think even the neighbours heard my groans of despair. It certainly looks the part of a modern strategy game, its detailed African landscape, top down perspective and interactive objects calling to mind Mimimi's excellent Desperados 3 and Shadow Tactics games, but the rest feels like it's been lifted straight out of the late 90s where we last left Jagged Alliance 2 - and not necessarily to its benefit.

To pre-empt your first question, no, Dead Island 2 was not worth waiting eleven years for. In its defence, however, few things are. If George Romero had taken over a decade to make Night Of The Living Dead, the fact it takes place largely in a basement would look less like canny guerrilla filmmaking and more like staggering incompetence. It only took NASA eight years to put men on the moon from the point they started trying, which puts the value of many inhibited projects (like my folder of unfinished novels) into depressingly sharp relief.

Dead Island 2 does not put zombies on the moon, though given how daft the main game is, don't rule out a Dead Island 2: Moon's Haunted expansion shambling your way in late 2023. Yet that doesn't mean it's a bad game. In fact, it's quite an enjoyable one. Together, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios have raised a moderately entertaining sequel to Techland's ye olde zombie survival sim, one that injects some life into its desiccated subject matter by being incredibly shiny, wilfully silly, spectacularly gory, and generally a touch more imaginative than I expected.

Resident Evil Death Island gun replicas

Capcom will collaborate with Little Armory to create gun replicas from Resident Evil: Death Island. There is no information on when to expect them or how much they'll cost. When they do come out though, you'll be able to get replicas of the M60, AA12, and M870. These are the weapons that Chris, Leon, and Jill (respectively) will use in the movie.

The guns will be 1/12 scale, making them about palm-sized. While you will not be able to actually use them as props for a cosplay or anything, you can give them to action figures to hold. All three Resident Evil: Death Island gun replicas from Little Armory will be different types. For example, the M60 is a machine gun, whereas the AA12 is an automatic shotgun. Aside from gun replicas, Capcom will also collaborate with Astron to release Resident Evil: Death Island watches. These watches are the ones that Chris and Leon will wear in the film.

Resident Evil: Death Island is an upcoming CGI movie set in the game's continuity. It'll be a direct sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta. Trailers for the film show the five main characters—Chris, Leon, Jill, Claire, and Rebecca—beating up zombies in Alcatraz.

Little Armory will release gun replicas from Resident Evil: Death Island sometime in the future. As of the time of writing, it is impossible to access the site to directly check for information from Little Armory.

atelier ryza 3 art book

An art book for Atelier Ryza 3 will appear in bookstores in Japan from May 12, 2023. It'll cost 3,300 JPY, which is around $24.55. Aside from concept art of the characters, items, and backgrounds, there will be an interview from the development team and artist Toridamono. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Toridamono is the character designer for the Atelier Ryza series. Aside from working on Atelier Ryza, they also designed Huyan Zhuo (Assassin of Mt. Liang) in Fate/Grand Order. The interview with Toridamono and the development team will also cover the entire series, and not just the third game.

Aside from art and sketches from the game's development, the book will also contain special illustrations. Some will be ones drawn specifically for the art book, whereas others will be ones that Koei Tecmo used in magazines and store bonuses.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key is the direct sequel to Atelier 2 and serves as the third and final game in Ryza's trilogy. In it, Ryza and her friends go on an adventure to investigate some mysterious islands appearing around the world. The game came out in late March 2023 worldwide for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.

The Atelier Ryza 3 art book will be available for purchase from (online and offline) bookstores in Japan from May 12, 2023.

10 Best PS4 and PS5 JRPGs

One of the things about the PS4 and PS5 is that both consoles are basically a major hub for some of the best JRPGs you'll ever play. Thanks to things like backwards compatibility, remasters, ports, and both being generally attractive systems, it means a lot of developers and publishers take care to not skip over either one. It might also make picking a particular title to play challenging too. To help out, here are some Siliconera suggestions for worthwhile games.

Best Digimon Game on the PS4 and PS5: Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth

What's fantastic about Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is that there's the whole collection element to finding additional Digimon, a compelling story, and a wonderful turn-based battle system. It's a really great time.

final fantasy rebirth best ps4 ps5 jrpg

Best Final Fantasy Game on the PS4 and PS5: FFVII Remake

I suppose as a cop-out, I could say Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Collection would be the "best Final Fantasy game" on the consoles. It wouldn't be wrong, and you should absolutely go play some of them. (FFIV, FFV, and FFVI especially!) But I'm going to go ahead and recommend FFVII Remake this time around. It's a fascinating reimagining. And if you don't like it, well, the original FFVII is on the systems too.

Best Persona Game on the PS4 and PS5: Persona 5 Royal

Thanks to Atlus being pretty generous with the porting, people have three mainline Persona games on modern PlayStation consoles! If you're looking for just one to play, however, Persona 5 Royal would probably be a good place to start. It has a great story that's pretty identifiable and some fun dungeons! Plus, this version is really extensive!

Tales of Arise best ps4 ps5 jrpg

Best Tales Game on the PS4 and PS5: Tales of Arise

There are so many amazing Tales games. Like did you play Tales of Berseria or Symphonia? But Tales of Arise is not only the newest installment, but something really special. The combat system is fantastic, the world is great, and it's just a lot of fun to explore and interact with the people in its worlds.

Best Action-RPG on the PS4 and PS5: Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is such a gorgeous and heartfelt story. Though, really, it's four passionate and enthralling tales. There are a lot of action-RPGs made in Japan that deserve your attention on the PS4 and PS5 for sure. (Off the top of my head, I could also recommend NieR: Automata, Ni no Kuni II, or even Star Ocean: The Divine Force. But it can feel like people forget about Odin Sphere, so consider that?

10 Best PS4 and PS5 JRPGs Dragon Quest XI S

Best Turn-Based RPG on the PS4 and PS5: Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Dragon Quest XI S is really something of an achievement. It's a fantastic installment in a long-running series, and the "S" edition is even better due to the option to choose the previously 3DS-exclusive 2D version and see other extra content. It's a great story with a fantastic turn-based battle system.

Best JRPG with crafting on the PS4 and PS5: Atelier Ryza

To be fair, a lot of the Atelier games will be an amazing time. All of them feature some RPG elements. But the big focus is on exploring areas, gathering ingredients, and using them to craft items for the main story and sidequests. It's a lot of fun, and Atelier Ryza is a particularly welcoming and well-made entry.

trails of cold steel iii pc demo 10 Best PS4 and PS5 JRPGs

Longest JRPG on the PS4 and PS5: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 1-4

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a whole saga. Each entry, if you're doing it "right," will probably take you 70+ hours to finish. Really, this is genuinely hard recommendation to make, because there are so many fantastic PS2 games you can still play on the PS4 and such. Like Rogue Legacy is also amazing. But Dark Cloud 2 has such a fantastic concept, what with the RPG elements and rebuilding a town, that it can't be missed.

Reno as he appears in Final Fantasy VII Remake

Square Enix yet again took to Twitter to discuss some behind-the-scenes details about Final Fantasy VII Remake, with Reno taking the spotlight this time. The tweet drops two pieces of trivia. The first one is about Reno's attitude when he initially appears before Cloud, and the second one has to do with his scene in Chapter 12.

In Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cloud first meets Reno in Aerith's Church, and you will encounter him in Chapter 8. Because his mission was to neutralize Cloud, rather than kill him, the development team made sure that he gave off a rather relaxed air. This came across in his various actions and quirks throughout the encounter.

Meanwhile, in Chapter 12 there was a scene in which he catches his weapon thrown at him, with the Shinra symbol being front and center. In this scene, the development team wanted to show Reno's sense of responsibility and determination as a member of the Turks, which is a branch within the Shinra company. It also helps to serve as a symbol of his bond with Rude, his partner.

https://twitter.com/FFVIIR_CLOUD/status/1648250021228445697

The Tweet also has some concept art for Reno's appearance in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Aside from Reno himself, we can see the construction of his rod weapon. There is also art showing the general size of Reno's pyramid mine. It looks like its the size of a hard-boiled egg.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and Windows PC.

The official website for the game is available in multiple languages, which include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese.

The story section of the Final Fantasy XVI official website includes information about the Eikons. These are the powerful creatures that Dominants can summon to aid them in battle. It also talks about Bearers, a small number of humans born with the ability to cast magicks without the intervention of the Mothercrystals.

Additionally, it includes a section detailing the different kingdoms and regions in the world of Valisthea. These are the Grand Duchy of Rosaria, the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, the Kingdom of Waloed, the Dhalmekian Republic, the Iron Kingdom, and the Crystalline Dominion.

The characters section of the Final Fantasy XVI website details several main and side characters in the game, showing which region or allegiance they belong to. This section also includes past and present versions of the character's portraits.

Square Enix recently revealed that Final Fantasy XVI has gone gold. This means that the game will most likely come out on its expected release date.

Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration Stream Announced

Square Enix is planning another way to call attention to Final Fantasy XVI. The company announced an in-person event. On June 11, 2023, it will hold a pre-launch celebration in Los Angeles. However, it did confirm that people who aren't able to get to California will be able to watch it online, as it will stream the event when it begins at 3pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET.

Here's the official announcement. It noted that additional details about the event will come up via methods like the Twitter account closer to the date.

That offered an array of new footage of Clive fighting and exploring the world.

Resident Evil 2 Ray tracing

Capcom acknowledged a ray tracing bug in the Steam versions of Resident Evil 2 and 3. The ray tracing option is currently inaccessible. Capcom confirmed it is an issue that will be fixed in a future update.

The ray tracing bug was first spotted on the r/pcgaming subreddit and the Resident Evil 3 Steam community. Users noticed a recent update for both Resident Evil 2 and 3 removed raytracing from the graphics options. In addition, the option for Dolby Atmos for headphones disappeared from the audio options at the same time. No explanation had been provided for the absence of either option at the time.

Capcom now confirmed that this is a bug. It did not say what the cause is, but it will be fixed in an upcoming patch. The release date for this patch has yet to be confirmed.

https://twitter.com/RE_Games/status/1648265626576736256

This isn't the first time Capcom had issues with ray tracing and 3D audio in Resident Evil games on Steam. In 2022, an update adding these options to Resident Evil 2, 3 and VII all caused performance issues for users on older systems. It also broke mods in the process. Capcom had to reissue an older version that didn't support raytracing.

Resident Evil 2 and 3 are both available for Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, and the Nintendo Switch via the cloud.

Jack Jeanne Otome Game Release Date Falls in June 2023

Aksys announced a release date for one of its next otome games. On June 15, 2023, Jack Jeanne will come to the Nintendo Switch. This is one of the more unique entries in the genre. That's because the dating sim visual novel elements are combined with rhythm game performances.

This is due to the nature of the game. Players follow Kisa Tachibana. She wants to follow in her brother's footsteps and become a great actor. Her goal is to attend the Univer Theater Academy. However, it only admits men. So, she disguises herself as a boy so she can attend and learn from the greats there. As you go through the game, the songs are "performances" she'll participate in along the way. As one might expect, her classmates are young men she can fall in love with during the course of the story.

As a reminder, this game comes from Sui Ishida. In the past, the auteur created the renowned manga series Tokyo Ghoul. This is his first video game. He worked on the concept, character designs, and one of its songs.

However, another Aksys otome game will appear before this one does. Winter's Wish: Spirits of Edo will appear on May 18, 2023.

Jack Jeanne will come to the Nintendo Switch on June 15, 2023. There are three different kinds of limited editions to choose from, each with additional items.

We're a little under a month away from the launch of the hotly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the trailer dropped by Nintendo has given us another glimpse of upcoming abilities, enemies and mysterious new characters. But before we get too carried away theorizing about the new story possibilities, lets take a look back at all the characters named and confirmed to be appearing in Tears of the Kingdom.

Link

Yes, Link is back as the playable protagonist once again. Despite excited murmurings around the time of Breath of the Wild's initial trailer that we might be getting a playable Zelda or a female link, Nintendo are sticking to the series' staples. What is different is that Link will be sporting some kind of magically mechanized arm, possibly of Sheikah or even Zonai origin. How this will play into the story is unknown at the moment, but could well be the source of his new-found powers.

[caption id="attachment_959706" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Tears of the Kingdom Zelda Screenshot via Nintendo of America on Youtube[/caption]

Zelda

Sporting a new, shorter haircut and what appear to be several new outfits, the Princess of Hyrule will return in Tears of the Kingdom. Though finally free from that castle, it seems it won't be long until she is once again separated from Link and must wait for him to find her. When she's not falling into a bottomless pit, the trailers show her interacting with underground ruins and a mysterious and unknown figure, so it is possible she may yet play a more active role in the story.

[caption id="attachment_959710" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf Image via Nintendo of America on Twitter[/caption]

Ganondorf

And here is the third member of the trifecta, in all his rehydrated glory. Ganon returns as the antagonist but this time in a more humanoid form. He's also wearing the distinct clothing and jewellery of the Gerudo, which may hint at the story shedding light on his origin as a member of that tribe. Matthew Mercer will be handling voice duties, as this Ganon appears much more communicative than the one we faced in BotW.

[caption id="attachment_959707" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Tears of the Kingdom Sidon Image via Nintendo of America on Twitter[/caption]

Sidon

The Prince of the Zora and Links' most supportive fan will return in Tears of the Kingdom, and it even appears we will be able to fight alongside him. While his design remains fairly similar to his appearance in Breath of the Wild, he does appear adorned with more Zora jewellery, perhaps indicating he has taken on more duties within the realm of the Zora.

[caption id="attachment_959708" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Tears of the Kingdom Riju Image via Nintendo of America on Twitter[/caption]

Riju

Zelda is not the only royal with a new haircut, as Riju of the Gerudo also returns. Now wielding a pair of scimitars. She appears in the trailer using Lightning powers similar to Urbosa's, and if Sidon is really recruitable as some kind of combat ally, Riju is likely to be available as well. No word on the appearance of Patricia the Sand-Seal yet, however.

[caption id="attachment_959709" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Tears of the Kingdom Tulin Image via Nintendo of America on Twitter[/caption]

Tulin

Though we met him as a tiny fledgling in Breath of the Wild, it appears that Tulin has grown in the time between the two games and is now a respectable marksman in his own right. His appearance does beg the question of his Father's whereabouts. Teba was the one who assissted players in reaching the divine beast Vah Medoh, so his son appearing instead may leave fans fearing the worst.

So those are the characters named and confirmed to be appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While the mystery of the new characters is enticing enough, there's also the question of whether Teba and Yunobo will show up alongside their peers Sidon and Riju. We won't know untilwe finally get to play.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches on May 12, 2023 on Nintendo Switch.

Monster Hunter Now Coming from Pokemon GO Creator Niantic

Niantic, the creator of Pokemon GO, is working with Capcom on a similar sort of mobile game called Monster Hunter Now and a closed beta test is on the way. On April 25, 2023, a limited number of people will be able to test the mobile title. The website is open for pre-registrations now. However, the beta will only feature English and Japanese language support. There's also a first trailer and Twitter account.

Here's the first teaser trailer, which shows characters from the Monster Hunter series in the real world for players to fight.

As for applying, it's fairly easy. You need to use a Google email account to participate. The application asks for your date of birth, gender, where you live, what kind of mobile device you'd use to play this mobile game, and if you're a Monster Hunter fan. If you don't get an email to start playing immediately at launch, that doesn't mean you won't get into the trial. The site noted they'll be sent throughout the test. However, know that your progress won't carry over to the full game.

Recently, Niantic has come under fire for its actions with Pokemon GO. The developer limited and raised the prices of Remote Raid Passes, which were considered an accessibility item, as well as reduced the running time for events. The fanbase has been quite vocal in response, calling for boycotts and creating petitions that garnered over 100,000 signatures.

Monster Hunter Now's closed beta will begin on April 25, 2023 on mobile devices, and its release window falls in Septemver 2023.

Lord Of The Rings Gollum Language DLC Dark ForestLord of the Rings: Gollum has recently become the subject of controversy among players due to a recent announcement by developer Daedalic. Essentially, the studio locked an option to replace the default English voice acting with the in-universe Elvish language of Sindarin behind the Precious Edition of Gollum, which costs $59.99 USD as opposed to the standard edition's $49.99. To clarify, Daedalic will allow players to buy this extra language option individually if they have a physical copy of the standard edition. But either way, players will still have to pay for a feature that could have easily made its way to the base game. This has understandably upset many players, so Daedalic has chosen to defend the inclusion of this language DLC in Gollum's Precious Edition. Eurogamer published Daedalic's statement on the matter, which says that the developer "went the extra mile" by training professional voice actors to speak the Sindarin language. Additionally...
