For those near Kinokuniya stores, the retailer's Honkai: Star Rail contest is about to end on April 24, 2023. The promotion began on April 11, 2023 and involves visiting to get a "Star Rail Pass" and take part in photo ops ahead of the game's April 26, 2023 launch. People who do also will be entered to win prizes connected to either the store or the upcoming HoYoVerse game. At every participating Kinokuniya store, there will be Honkai: Star Rail imagery. One standee will promote the game itself and have a QR code that allows people to pre-register for the game. To participate in the event and enter the contest, a person must scan the QR code to get the Star Rail Special Pass. After scanning it with a phone, go to the cashier and show them the "pre-registration successful" page. On April 24, 2023, the official Twitter account for the game will announce the 48 people who won items like an iPhone 14, mouse pad, acrylic standee, keychain, pin, and Kinokuniya gift card. Fujimi Models announced the release of a realistic rhinoceros beetle and stag beetle models with the same colors as the Evangelion Unit-01 and Unit-02 respectively. Both models will be priced at 4,180 JPY (or roughly $31 USD), and they will release in Japan on July 6, 2023. The Unit-01 rhinoceros beetle and the Unit-02 stag beetle are available now to pre-order from Amazon Japan. [Thanks, Famitsu!] The Evangelion beetle models have moving parts, such as the horns and legs. The models also include an option to reproduce the beetle's flight pose by replacing the default body parts with extended wings. Additionally, marking stickers of Evangelion Unit-01 and Unit-02 are included, which allow to fully decorate the beetles in the image of the original mechs. Good Smile Company announced the release of a series of six Chainsaw Man plushes. These stuffed animals will release in August 2023 and will cost 3,300 yen/$23.99. They will be available for pre-order from the Good Smile Online Shop May 18, 2023. The plush lineup consists of characters Aki, Denji, Himeno, Kobeni, Makina, and Power. All six are in a sitting pose. The Denji plush will come with a headpiece that can be fitted onto the plush to represent his transformation into Chainsaw Man.
