People don't remember much from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but they do remember the incredibly cringey scene where the game asks the player to press F to pay their respects during a somber funeral. Seven years later, the now-infamous meme has reappeared as an achievement in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Adi Shankar, producer on Netflix's excellent Castlevania series, sat down with IGN Japan to discuss one of his next projects, an animated adaptation of Capcom's action-heavy Devil May Cry franchise. Sadly, it doesn't seem like there's any room for Chris Pratt in the voice cast.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons' big-ass update dropped earlier than expected and while it introduces tons of new stuff, there's one modest aspect players aren't totally pleased with: island ordinances, and to be specific, that new Night Owl one.
I have been purchasing and playing Mario Party games since the series began back in 1998 on the Nintendo 64. But as a relative loner in real life, it's hardly ever been a party for me. Aside from the odd family gathering, most of my Mario Party career has been me against AI opponents. Mario Party Superstars finally…
The game that's all the rage this week isn't a glimmering racing game or a gritty first-person shooter. It's not a massive expansion to a beloved life sim. No, the game of this moment is a delightful little puzzle game called Unpacking, which quite simply tasks you with the menial act of unpacking boxes. I've been…
Accessibility options are a growing concern among developers big and small, but Forza Horizon 5 is prepared to go above and beyond industry norms (and hopefully set a new standard) with on-screen sign language interpreters, a first-of-its-kind feature in the AAA gaming world.
Grand Theft Auto III launched 20 years ago to rave reviews and mainstream media controversy around its realistic depiction of violence and mayhem in an open-world parody of New York City. Next week Rockstar Games is bringing it back, now as a remastered artifact from a bygone era. Has it aged like fine wine, or like a…
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is next moving to Russia, and the devs at SCS Software have already provided us a lovely bit of digital tourism with a look at the churches that'll appear in the Heart of Russia DLC. While the religious experience is nice and all, the latest preview gets even more elemental, with a look at the country's water.
Among the wet bodies represented in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 DLC are the Volga and Oka rivers. We'll also see the Vyshnevolotsk Reservoir which, as the devs explain, "has a history dating back to Peter I and has an important social value due to fishing and water energy generation."
The devs are taking a bit of creative liberty with the Svir river, though. "Even though this ferry is not used for trucks in real life, we figured that due to the map layout and to boost the gameplay experience a little bit, it would be a good idea to allow trucks to be transported as well."Euro Truck Simulator 2 system requirements, Best VR games, How to set up your Oculus Rift

The High Calibre reveal is scheduled for Monday, November 8 at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT. Ubisoft hasn't detailed exactly how or where the reveal will roll out, but it's safe to expect it on Twitch and YouTube. The reveal coincides with the start of the Six Sweden Major, which will be running from November 8 through November 14.
High Calibre will bring us a new SMG weapon, as well as a new operator in Thorn. A teaser trailer has revealed that her gadget will be a sticky grenade trap that explodes into shrapnel when enemies get close. According to dataminers, these grenades will be called Razorbloom Shells.Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 operators, Best Rainbow Six Siege operators, Play Rainbow Six Siege
Modding tools for historical 4X game Humankind have arrived on Steam at long last, hot on the heels of the Fabius Maximus update. The beta version of the tools can be found in the Tools category of the Steam library if you own Humankind on that platform. Once it's installed, you can set to work changing the rules, adding tweaks, or potentially adding all new content to Amplitude's latest strategy game.
The developer stresses that the tools are currently unfinished, and that some functionality has not yet been added into the beta version that's available now on Steam. "You may run into errors while making mods or playing with them," the studio says, adding that mod users should be careful to make sure mods are compatible with each other before trying to run multiple mods at a time.
Humankind's modding system is integrated with mod.io, so you can head to the Humankind page there to select, activate, and manage your mods. Once you've subscribed to mods on mod.io, you can launch Humankind, navigate to the mods menu, and checking the tick box beside the mods you want to use.Humankind release date, Humankind review, Pre-order Humankind
While Halo Infinite will have a battle pass in line with other modern multiplayer games, it won't let you disgrace the Master Chief by making him floss - you can just go play Fortnite and buy some Halo cosmetics for that. The devs at 343 Industries have provided a few additional details on what to expect from the battle pass ahead of the Halo Infinite release date.
"We struggled a lot with dance moves for Spartans", head of design Jerry Hook tells IGN. "We feel that more traditional players would reject Master Chief flossing". However, the personal AI that accompanies you during multiplayer will get some of those more ridiculous sorts of options. "That way you can preserve the militaristic feel without having to break what you would consider canon".
343 already provided a broad breakdown of the battle pass design back in September, and most of those details are reiterated here. But with the first Halo Infinite battle pass, called Heroes of Reach, the devs have confirmed that you'll get some extremely specific cosmetics themed around the Reach characters. Those include Emile's knives, Jorge's grenades, and Kat's prosthetic arm - for the latter item, the developers worked with non-profit organisation Limbitless to ensure prosthetics would be accurately portrayed.Halo Infinite release date, Halo Infinite E3 2019, Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC

All you have to do is head over to our giveaway page and fill out the widget you find there. Once you're in, you'll have the coming week to check out any of the available Lost Ark classes and get some hands-on time well ahead of the launch date, which has been delayed into next year as the team works on addressing feedback it got from its closed alpha earlier this year.
In 2020, a number of Ubisoft employees came forward with allegations of sexual discrimination and harassment at the company. A survey found that 25% of employees had witnessed or experienced discrimination first-hand. Several executives resigned in the wake of those allegations, and the company has promised change - but in the wake of similar controversy at Activision Blizzard this year, employees say Ubisoft's actions have not been adequate. Now they're calling on the public for support.
ABetterUbisoft, the group of current and former Ubisoft employees which penned an open letter in July asking for change at the company, has put together a petition "open for ALL our supporters to sign", decrying Ubisoft's lack of response to key demands. The petition is accompanied by a message of "you disappoint us" to CEO Yves Guillemot, in reference to the goofy retention emails Ubisoft sent to lapsed Far Cry 6 players.
The group reiterates its four key demands alongside the petition: to "stop promoting and moving known offenders from studio to studio", to provide employees "a collective seat at the table", for the company to participate in "cross-industry collaboration" to fight harassment and discrimination, and for this process to "heavily involve employees in non-management positions and union representatives".
Now its developers say they've turned wealth transfers back on and "permanently banned players who exploited the Coin/Item dupe issue," among many other updates.
Skyrim: Anniversary Edition was announced just a couple of months ago and is due to launch next week on November 11th, Skyrim's 10th birthday. Ahead of the release, Bethesda have parped out an FAQ including its launch price: £48/$50/€55.
Konami are embarking on the long road towards redeeming eFootball, their free-to-play PES successor which became the worst rated game on Steam not long after its launch in September. The first steps: cancelling some content, refunding players, and releasing a patch with a lot of bug fixes.
Sociable Soccer is returning to Steam next year with the release of Sociable Soccer '22. This is kind of a do-over, after the spiritual successor to Sensible Soccer, from original creator Jon Hare, first launched on Steam in 2017 only to be later pulled.
Bonfire Night is here again, the day we in the UK celebrate the day in 1605 when... people tried to blow up the king? We're celebrating the fact that they tried, right? This time last year, I asked you about your favourite video game explosions. Well, fireworks are somewhat downplayed this year, with fewer big public fireworks displays to ooh and aah at, so let's talk about good ol' workless fire. What's your favourite fire in games, gang?
At the end of a week in which publishers Square Enix publicly expressed disappointment with how Marvel's Avengers went down, the game has some good news: one of the most popular Marvelmen will swing in later this month, Spider-Man. Oh. But he's exclusive to the PlayStation version. Oh no. That's not feel-good news to lift spirits at all.
