In 2020, a number of Ubisoft employees came forward with allegations of sexual discrimination and harassment at the company. A survey found that 25% of employees had witnessed or experienced discrimination first-hand. Several executives resigned in the wake of those allegations, and the company has promised change - but in the wake of similar controversy at Activision Blizzard this year, employees say Ubisoft's actions have not been adequate. Now they're calling on the public for support.
ABetterUbisoft, the group of current and former Ubisoft employees which penned an open letter in July asking for change at the company, has put together a petition "open for ALL our supporters to sign", decrying Ubisoft's lack of response to key demands. The petition is accompanied by a message of "you disappoint us" to CEO Yves Guillemot, in reference to the goofy retention emails Ubisoft sent to lapsed Far Cry 6 players.
The group reiterates its four key demands alongside the petition: to "stop promoting and moving known offenders from studio to studio", to provide employees "a collective seat at the table", for the company to participate in "cross-industry collaboration" to fight harassment and discrimination, and for this process to "heavily involve employees in non-management positions and union representatives".

So, you want to know about Age of Empires IV relics? These are special religious artifacts that you find dotted about the map in skirmish games, and they have potent effects that can greatly affect your strategy in the mid-to-late game.
Relics are distributed randomly across the map, typically away from the spawn locations of a player's initial town centre. They can be found in the middle and along the edges of the map, so make sure you look everywhere. They are golden tinged artifacts that will have a trail of golden mist rising from them, and they will also be marked on the minimap once found as well.
Only specific units can pick up and interact with relics, most typically the monk, although it varies depending on which Age of Empires IV civilisation you're playing as. Relics have two primary uses - to be placed in buildings to gain resources, typically gold, and for religious units to use the 'conversion' ability to steal enemy troops. Most religious units can't be recruited until the Castle Age (Age III). Let's look at some of the differences with how different factions deal with Relics.

The next Ghost Recon game veers away from the series' usual formula; rather than a four player co-op campaign, instead it's set to be a free-to-play battle royale.
Two game modes are available at launch. In the primary mode, Expedition, 100 players compete in teams of three to find and extract intel; matches take place - as is custom in battle royale games - on an island called Drakemoor following an environmental disaster. You can steal other team's intel and extraction helicopter to scupper their chances of making it off the island alive. The island itself features four biomes and 20 points of interest for players to explore and infiltrate. In order to win the game, you need to collect three pieces of intel and then call for your extraction helicopter, which alerts other teams to your whereabouts, provoking players to stop you leaving successfully.
The second game mode is called Control, a 9v9 domination-style PvP mode which provides a faster pace for players. Ghost Recon Frontline will also have seasons, which looks to add more classes from the existing pool of contractors as well as new game modes. Here's everything we know about Ghost Recon Frontline so far including upcoming closed test dates.

System requirements are always changing, with what was once the recommended amount of RAM to play a game slowly but surely becoming the minimum. And that's to say nothing of more demanding tasks, like photo and video editing or, well, Chrome tabs. A lack of RAM could be the source of any performance bottleneck you may have, as your gaming PC or laptop struggles to juggle applications on your subpar memory capacity.
While it's not as exciting as picking the best graphics card or best gaming CPU, making sure you have sufficient system memory is essential for putting together the best gaming PC build. And with AMD and Intel's latest processors supporting even higher memory frequencies, you'll need to pick out your RAM carefully if you're building a brand new rig, as RAM with higher frequency could boost fps in some games.
We've put together a list of our favourite RAM modules for both AMD and Intel platforms, factoring in budget and use. And if you want RGB invading yet another corner of your gaming world, we've got you covered.

Valve's Steam Deck is set to have an expansive library of compatible PC games, especially since the handheld will be compatible with easy anti-cheat and Battleye. However, according to the developers behind the survival experience DayZ, the open-world game might pass on support for the upcoming portable powerhouse.
As shared by Joshersratters on Reddit, DayZ's creators, Bohemia Interactive, responded to a Twitter DM inquiring about Steam Deck compatibility by saying support would be "unlikely". While the developers didn't specify why the game would be incompatible, Battleye's "opt-in" policy could be linked to the studio's decision to forgo support.
Of course, if Bohemia has opted out of Battleye for Steam Deck, there could be a good reason for the decision. As you'd perhaps expect, Valve's dinky gaming PC isn't as beefy as a fully-fledged rig, meaning performance issues could arise if games aren't optimised. While DayZ still has 29,339 concurrent players, the fact it's now eight years old could also mean it has a smaller team maintaining things behind the scenes.

So far, we know that the edition will bring brand-new content inspired by Oblivion and Morrowind, every single bit of content ever released via the Creation Club, and a free update that adds fishing to Tamriel (complete with aquariums), among other things. Now, a new FAQ gives us some more info - including the Anniversary Edition's prices.
As revealed in the FAQ post shared today, the MSRP for the Skyrim Anniversary Edition will be USD$49.99 / EUR€54.99 / GBP£47.99 / AUD$79.95 on digital storefronts at launch. If you already own the game's Special Edition, you always have the option of just going for the Anniversary upgrade, though, with this adding all the Creation Club content available at the time of the new edition's launch in one bundle.
If you've already got Skyrim Special Edition, the Anniversary upgrade will have an MSRP of USD$19.99 / EUR€19.99 / GBP£15.99 / AUD$29.95 on digital storefronts when it launches. As Bethesda notes, this can vary depending on which store you head to and the region you're based in, so exact prices might differ from this.

So, you want to know about Total War: Warhammer III races? While this was one of the biggest causes for speculation during the months immediately after Warhammer III's announcement, plenty of information has been released since, so we can answer the question with some certainty at this point.
Developer Creative Assembly previously promised to include all 15 of Warhammer Fantasy's eighth edition core races in its Warhammer Total War games, which at the time prior to the third game's announcement left only Ogre Kingdoms and Deamons of Chaos. The latter was confirmed pretty much straight away, with the Chaos faction divided into four seperate sub-races, one for each Chaos God.
The Ogre Kingdoms were then announced and confirmed as the pre-order bonus race in November 2021, fulfilling the prophecy. We were also treated to the surprise that Grand Cathay, the most enigmatic of Warhammer race of them all, would be brought to life for the very first time in partnership with Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy revival. We've laid out a quick summary of all of the confirmed races below, along with some additional speculation regarding future Warhammer III races we think might turn up as DLC.

In certain key ways, the Ogre Kingdoms will be Total War: Warhammer III's most relatable faction: specifically, their main concern at any time is what's for lunch. The Ogre Kingdoms, as has been theorised for some time, are the early-adopter bonus for players who pre-order Total War: Warhammer III, and developer Creative Assembly has now shed light on how these hungry lads will work on the campaign map.
The Ogre Kingdoms will have two legendary lords at launch, Greasus Goldtooth and Skrag the Slaughterer. The latest post on the Total War blog doesn't get into their specific campaign details, but instead discusses how ogres work generally. They're structured similarly to a horde faction, with camps that can be placed just about anywhere an ogre army can reach, and they run on meat - which can be obtained in a number of ways, all unpleasant.
Camps work as the ogres' major settlements, and you can place them anywhere that's far enough away from an existing settlement. That includes enemy territory, mind you - any ogre camp set up in enemy-controlled territory automatically begins raiding that province with whatever is in its garrison.

Wondering which guns are in Call of Duty Vanguard? After an entire year of Cold War-era weaponry, it's time for something different. We're going back to WWII in this year's Call of Duty game, giving players an arsenal of old timey weapons to get their hands on. You should recognise a number of classic weapons in the list, including the legendary Kar98k sniper rifle.
Compared to the guns found in Warzone, Activision's battle royale game, Call of Duty multiplayer weapons are usually slower. However, Vanguard's time to kill speed has been tuned to ensure these weapons are equally as powerful. How they fare against the best Warzone guns remains to be seen - we'll find out when the Vanguard integration kicks in after the game releases on December 3.
We've assembled a list of the confirmed weapons in Vanguard as well as their level requirements. This year's Call of Duty game has given certain weapons up to ten attachments, allowing players to customise their favourite guns exactly to their liking. The following weapons are from the Vanguard beta, the full game is likely to have more on release.

Jurassic Park is probably the most perfect disaster movie ever made. But Jurassic World Evolution 2 sometimes makes me wish it didn't depend so much on things going wrong.
It's understandable that developer Frontier would feel obligated to make horrible things happen to my lovely dinosaur park in order to stay true to the movie, and I get that random calamities have been a thing in this genre since SimCity. But for me, the best management games have never been about putting out fires. They are bubbling cauldrons of overlapping systems, which organically produce interesting questions of strategy and priority.
There are many more moments like that in Jurassic World Evolution 2 than its predecessor. Smart changes to the core loop have produced a much better, richer management sim. But the one overriding negative is the near-constant, interrupting need to react to short-term emergencies, whether small (a power generator needs refuelling) or large (a catastrophic tornado is ripping up everything I've built). Its impact isn't universal: you can tune the busywork in sandbox mode or slightly mitigate it in-game, and storms are more frequent in some scenarios than others. Nonetheless you will have to deal with them at some point if you want to try everything that JWE2 has to offer.

Back in June, we learned that upcoming Tesla's Model S was set to feature gaming PC innards that could run games at "PS5-level performance". Thanks to a new teardown video, we now know that the supercar will come with a custom Zen 1+ AMD Ryzen CPU and discrete Navi 23 graphics under the hood.
According to the YouTube channel Ingineerix, the vehicle's AMD Zen 1+ processor is a quad-core 45W APU with 500kb of L2 cache and 4MB of L3 Cache. The chip's model number, YE180FC3T4MFG, also suggests that it's embedded, with the "FG" characters at the end implying it's an updated version of the Zen 1 microarchitecture.
On the GPU side of things, the tech-drenched Tesla is armed with both a discrete and dedicated graphics card based on AMD's Navi 23. Complete with 28 compute units, the Californian company also claims the car's graphics solution offers performance on par with current-gen consoles, but we've yet to see any official clock speeds to back this up.

Back in October, we reported that Intel's new Alder Lake CPUs could face compatibility issues with some PC games thanks to everyone's favourite acronym… DRM. Now that the company's 12th generation Core processors are available to buy, it appears that these problems have come to roost, with the chips incapable of playing over 50 major titles.
The Intel support article (via Andreas Schilling) contains a breakdown of all the affected titles, with the incompatibilities affecting Windows 10 decidedly more than Windows 11. The list of games contains a number of prolific and recent releases, such as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Madden 22, and Total War: Three Kingdoms.
Several of the affected games will "be patched sometime in mid-November with the upcoming Windows 11 update" according to Intel, with the company working with developers to implement fixes for the majority of the list. Fortunately, there's a 'Scroll Lock' workaround that can be used for now, which we detail below.

Konami has announced that it's delaying eFootball's big v1.0.0 patch - which was due to drop on November 11 - until sometime next spring. The news comes alongside the release of the smaller v0.9.1 update, which brings a raft of bug fixes to the troubled football game, and additional announcement that the eFootball 2022 Premium Player Pack has been removed from sale, with all pre-orders to be automatically refunded.
Going by existing information, it seems that the v1.0.0 update was due to add new modes, such as Creative Team, which lets you put together the line-up of your choice - something in a similar vein to PES' myClub feature from the sounds of it. The update was also going to introduce a season pass system. Additionally, it was to mark the point at which players who pre-ordered the now-cancelled Premium Player Pack could start using certain parts of its content, with that bundle including "items that can only be used in-game after the v1.0.0 update", as Konami's press release explains.
Due to the Premium Pack's removal, pre-orders will now be cancelled. "Full refunds will be made according to each platform policy but please note that it may take time," Konami says. "There is no action required for you to receive the refund."

Gaming PC components are constantly evolving, and brand new graphics card and CPU tech continually move the goalposts. Intel's new Alder Lake lineup is smashing records across the board, but we've been riding with DDR4 RAM for a while now, and DDR5 hasn't had much much of a chance to shine. Thankfully, it looks like that's about to change, as G.Skill's Trident Z5 just snatched the memory module speed world record.
Set by extreme overclocker Hocayu, the new world record was achieved by arming Asus's ROG Z690 Apex motherboard with a set of G.Skill's Trident Z5 gaming RAM. As a result, memory modules managed to push things to the limit, achieving a clock speed of 8,705MHz, snatching the world record from HyperX in the process.
Of course, while Hocayu's achieved RAM speeds look impressive on paper, they come at a compromise to timing efficiency. Maximising frequency changes the G.Skill module's XMP-rated figure from 40-40-40-76 to 127-120-120-120, which effectively hampers its PC gaming performance.

We're just under a week from Forza Horizon 5's November 9 release date, so what better time to sit down with developer Playground Games and talk about the game? We got in the driver's seat with creative director Mike Brown and technical art director Gareth Harwood to talk shop about the importance of accessibility, why ray tracing is limited to the Forzavista model viewer, and how SSDs transformed the team's design approach.
Playground Games recently revealed the Forza Horizon 5 system requirements, which recommends an SSD if you want to hit the 'Ideal' specification. While the best gaming SSDs have been commonplace in gaming PCs for many years, consoles were stuck with HDDs until the arrival of the new Xbox Series X, S, and PS5.
Brown says that "SSDs have really benefitted us in terms of Forza Horizon 5's design. Having the Xbox One as our previous lead platform, with its HDD, we had to be very conscious of loading times and be strategic in what cars we gave the player and what cars would race with them." He elaborates, "this problem kind of goes away with an SSD, and we're able to give the player more cars than we ever have previously and have you changing between them more frequently."

If you are going to wait for five-star weapon results from your Wishes you might have to wait a long time, or you will have to invest a lot of money in Genshin Impact. There's always the weapon pity system introduced in 2.0, but for many players, it is more feasible to find good weapons by playing. Luckily, Genshin Impact offers enough quality three and four-star weapons that you can find in the open world or craft yourself, so there's no need to invest in Wishes to complete your best Genshin Impact builds.
Some of the freely available four-star weapons are better than others, but since their number is limited, all are worth getting. Although four-star weapons have better base stats than three-star weapons, many three-star ones are worth searching for as they may boast superior damage or critical hit modifiers.
We've included some of the best, but keep in mind that the value of a weapon depends greatly on the situation, the Genshin Impact characters you want to use it for and plenty of other factors like the monsters you're going after and what Genshin Impact artifacts you have.

The Call of Duty: Vanguard release date has now arrived, and reviews for the latest instalment of the long-running FPS game series have begun rolling in, giving us an idea of what to expect - and whether it'll be worth your hard-earned pennies. So, let's take a look at what the critics have made of the new CoD.
Let's kick off with this orange site right here's Call of Duty: Vanguard review. Our own Ian Boudreau scores it a healthy eight-out-of-ten, noting that developer Sledgehammer Games has "return[ed] to World War II with a very different approach". Ian concludes that, "opting for pulp fantasy over Spielbergian reverence for the era, Vanguard reinvigorates the World War II setting and charts a new path forward".
Gamespot puts it a little lower on the scale, giving it a seven-out-of-ten. The highlights cited in the review include the Vanguard multiplayer mode's destructible environments, great-feeling guns, meaningful loadouts and Gunsmith customisation, and positive changes to Zombies, which "make the mode more approachable", among other things. Negatives mentioned include the feeling that "some campaign missions are much weaker than others, especially when pushing out of the usual pop-and-shoot approach", characters not really feeling distinct enough, and Zombies "missing the story-focused puzzle box elements that make the mode great".

Sony's just announced that the PlayStation exclusive God of War is coming to Steam and the Epic Game Store, and it looks like it'll embrace the power of gaming PC hardware. While Kratos' Nordic adventure isn't the first PS4 game to release on PC, it could set a new standard for what to expect from Sony's newly acquired port specialist, Nixxes.
According to Sony's announcement post on the PlayStation Blog, God of War's PC port will feature "true" 4K resolution support and unlocked frame rates, providing your rig can handle churning out both. While we'll need to wait a little longer for the game's official graphics card, RAM, and gaming CPU requirements, we do know that you'll need to free up 80GB of space on your gaming SSD.
The PC version of Sony Santa Monica's epic tale also comes with a whole host of graphical options and pre-sets, including improved screen-space reflections, higher resolution shadows, and ambient occlusion enhancements like GTAO and SSDO. Better still, God of War for PC also comes with Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR, meaning that every GPU will benefit from upscaling technology to facilitate higher resolutions, while still maintaining decent frame rates. The game will also support Nvidia's Reflex low latency tech, which should help Kratos' axe strike true.

Wondering how the New World server transfer system works? When Amazon's MMO first launched, servers were quickly overwhelmed with players eager to start adventuring on the island of Aeturnum. This led to immense queue times in several regions, and Amazon added hundreds of new servers to allow players to get started as soon as possible.
To encourage players to begin their quest on one of these newer servers, Amazon Game Studios decided to grant each player a free server transfer token when the server transfer service becomes available. This token allows players to join their friends and reassess their server choice once things calm down a little.
When New World server transfers initially went live, the process resulted in a few unintended glitches, including a gold duplication bug that led to the transfers being closed down again. Transfers were later re-enabled and are currently live. There are a few things you need to know before packing your bags and leaving for a new server - here's how to transfer your New World character.

Forza Horizon 5 is set to land on shelves next week, but before its November 9 launch, creative director Mike Brown and technical art director Gareth Harwood have given us a peek at the PC specifics. This includes how the developers approached ray tracing, why SSDs have transformed the game's design, and the importance of accessibility.
Playground Games recently revealed the Forza Horizon 5 system requirements, which are forgiving enough that even racers with ageing gaming PCs should have little trouble getting behind the wheel. However, while lowering the entry requirements to get the game running is admirable, it's another thing entirely to make it more accessible to a wider variety of players.
Brown describes accessibility as "one of the core pillars that makeup Forza Horizon 5, and great efforts and investments were made to ensure the development team understood its importance. We treat it with the same level of importance and care as we do our Expeditions, another integral part of the game."

Oh. But he's exclusive to the PlayStation version. Oh no. That's not feel-good news to lift spirits at all.

E4 have dropped the first trailer for their GamesMaster reboot, showing a quick blast showing of competitive gaming, and an orby hologram of a man. GamesMaster was an old TV show in the 90s hosted by Dominik Diamond where they'd review games, give out tips, and get celebrities to compete in gaming challenges. The reboot seems to have more of that good stuff, and this time around will be hosted by Robert Florence.

Planet Zoo is celebrating its two-year anniversary with a free update that adds black and white ruffed lemurs, and a new cake shop. I'm very excited, lemurs are my favourites! I went to the IRL zoo last month and the lemur walkthrough was closed, which was absolutely gutting. But if I can't have real lemurs, you can be damn sure I'm adding some of these fluffy fellas to my virtual enclosures.

Yes, it's a shotgun list. No, we won't be doing rocks or paper next. You can put that line back in your little joke sack. If I see any of you besmirching my thoroughly researched and vigourously typed article with such a low-hanging jest, I will take one of the following mortality transmission devices, be it the double barrelled murderspout of Doom 2 or the loud-mouthed body vaporisor of F.E.A.R, and I will demonstrate their crimson purpose.
Sit down. Here are the best shotguns in video games.

Fittingly for Fireworks Night, Call Of Duty: Vanguard launched in the wee hours, bringing a great many big explosions as the first-person shooter series returns to World War 2 once again. Along with yer usual story campaign and multiplayer modes, it has Treyarch's Zombies too. Though I do suspect the part of Vanguard many want isn't out yet, and they won't even pay for: the new Pacific island map coming to CoD: Warzone at a later point.

We now have Forza Horizon 5 on the PC, and, I'm happy to admit, that I am taken aback by its optimization. I can fondly remember the energy surrounding the release of Forza Horizon 3 back in 2016. It was infectiously furious, in the best way. After all, it marked a turning point for the series and for Microsoft as a whole. One of the company's biggest franchises that had been an Xbox exclusive for so long was finally making its way to Windows PC. For the first time ever, PC users would get to enjoy what Xbox fans had been raving about for so long. The game came, and it certainly had a big launch. But, there was a problem: it was choppy and a little janky. Certainly still playable, yes. But, even machines that exceeded Horizon 3's system requirements would run into hard locks and stutters. Thankfully, Playground managed to iron out most of the issues. Yet, to this day, even in its delisted state, Forza Horizon 3 still remains somewhat problematic. This situation pro...

The new 12th generation Intel Alder Lake CPUs are out, and they claim to be the best gaming CPUs ever released. Unfortunately, however, not every game is working properly with the new Intel Alder Lake processors just yet. An issue with Digital Rights Management (DRM) currently prevents various games from launching on the Intel Alder Lake lineup. The list of games range from major titles like Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Madden NFL 22, Mortal Kombat 11, and more. As it stands, game playability depends on the operating system being used. Intel has released a full list of the games, while also noting which games will receive updates for support at some point in mid November. Those games are denoted in bold, below. Intel says its actively working with all other developers to get the rest of the games addressed as soon as possible. Windows 11 Anthem Bravely Default 2 Fishing Sim World Football Manager 2019 Football Manager Touch 2019 Football Manager 2020 Football Manager T...

Amrine is the first Expedition (dungeon) you will encounter in New World. In other MMORPGs, the first dungeon can be an intimidating prospect. But, as I mentioned in my New World beginners guide, the Amrine Expedition is a walk in the park. There's only one real challenge. But, there are some things you don't want to miss. To enter the Expedition, you will need an Amrine Tuning Orb. You will be given one of these when you get the Destiny Unearthed, Foreman's Ledger, and Seeing Clearly quests. Only one member of your party needs to have a key to open it for everyone. I first ran the dungeon at level 25. You really don't need to be higher than that. One person in your party will need a tier-one Azoth to open doors. The most essential tip in this New World dungeon guide, is that you'll need to take a healer with you into the Amrine Expedition. This is the first time in the game a healer is mandatory. The other four members of your party can all be damage dealers. A tank is...

When Forza Horizon 5 was initially revealed back at E3 2021, I was absolutely floored to see that Mexico was the location of choice for the new title. All of the Horizon entries of the past have adopted a formula of taking a real-world locale and putting an interesting twist on it by throwing in some of its most popular spots and squishing them together in a condensed, but still very open map. As the series has matured, the design of each map has steadily improved, growing larger and more complex in each new entry. By far, Forza Horizon 5's rendition of Mexico, with its Spanish culture, is Playground's most dynamic and densely designed series locale yet. But, it's not just big and beautiful. It's surprisingly authentic, and for me personally, it struck a really tender chord. It's allowed me to enjoy the flare of Latin America again. Actual virtual reality Back in 2016, I moved away from my home country to settle in Ecuador, which is a part of Sou...

Call of Duty: Vanguard is finally here. You can now play through the campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes that the game has to offer. However, we have to wait a little longer until it integrates with Warzone. The STG44 is one of the first guns you can use in Vanguard multiplayer and leveling it up will allow you to build a strong class ahead of Warzone integration. With Vanguard allowing you to use up to ten attachments on your weapons, it can be difficult to decide on the best combination. Overall, the STG44 assault rifle is a strong contender on the battlefield. This class will mainly focus on improving the accuracy of the weapon, while taking general speed into account. Call of Duty: Vanguard STG44 class Muzzle: Scythe Compensator Underbarrel: M3 Ready Grip Barrel: VDD 760MM 05B Optic: Slate Reflector Stock: Krausnick S11S Folding Proficiency: Focus Kit: Fully Loaded Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds Firstly, the Scythe Compensator Muzzle will grant your...
