Save a massive 23% on an AMD Ryzen 7800X3D in this CPU deal

The AMD Ryzen 7800X3D has long reigned supreme as the best CPU for gaming, thanks to its combination of loads of L3 cache and a speedy eight-core configuration. However, that performance pedigree has also meant it has held its value, making this current AMD CPU deal a fantastic buy.

We may only be a few weeks away from AMD announcing its next generation of gaming CPUs, but that doesn't dent any of the value in this discount. That's because not only is the 7800X3D still the best gaming CPU, but also because those future AMD CPUs will be easy drop-in replacements for the 7800X3D, as they'll use the same AM5 motherboard socket.

2022's oddest indie gets equally weird follow up, playable now

There's no escaping AI anymore. It's in our search engines, boiling down art to expressionless slop, and giving us the wrong answers to easily verifiable questions. Not to get all doom and gloom, but it's also only going to get worse. On the upside though, so much of our art is coming into direct discussion with the wave of AI content, and a new adventure game from the critically acclaimed developer behind Norco is taking the issue head on. A great mech game needs to be brutal. You want heavy machines, weighty, physical combat, and an overarching sense of struggle - you want it to feel nasty. But a new mech game takes the sensation of power and pain to a new level.      Jonsbo D30 review

It's been a while since we've looked at a micro-ATX case, and the Jonsbo D30 is quite different from your usual off-the-shelf chassis. For starters, it doesn't have any fans as standard, while cases such as Kolink's Citadel Mesh RGB come fully equipped with fans.

Still, that doesn't necessarily exclude it from being one of the best PC cases - despite the lack of built-in fans, it is fantastic for air and water cooling (check out our list of the best CPU coolers for some recommendations). This makes it a good choice for anybody seeking a case for an overclocked rig - but at the same time, it feels a bit basic, lacking, among other things, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support.

inti creates card-en-ciel

Inti Creates revealed the developer's next game will be Card-en-Ciel, and it is set to release in October 2024. The game is described as a "roguelite, card-battling RPG" and also looks to contain similar positioning and strategic mechanics like the Mega Man Battle Network series.

Battles will take place on two 3x3 grids, as players will use cards based on both in-game franchises and Inti Creates properties. These cards are voiced. Some contain Muse characters that provide extra bonuses if you can fulfill conditions and play unique music. Battles take place within dungeons, where defeating enemies earns you upgrades to your card deck. This will, in turn, help you to defeat the boss encounter and clear the dungeon. However, completing a dungeon faster nets a higher score so players will have to consider the trade off between gaining power and getting a faster completion.

You can watch the Card-en-Ciel gameplay trailer via Youtube below:

Back in April, 2024, Inti Creates announced and released PuzzMix, a puzzle game spin-off from the Azure Striker Gunvolt series. The series also received a rhythm game spin-off that was announced back in September, 2024.

Inti Creates will release Card-en-Ciel on October 24, 2024, for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Online versus mode in Nintendo Switch version of Suika Game

Aladdin X announced that it will add a new Online Versus Mode to the Nintendo Switch version of Suika Game. This mode will support worldwide matchmaking regardless of the eShop and account country players used to obtain the game. However, as with most other games on the Switch, players will need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The Online Versus Mode will be available with three rules. The Original rule will determine the status when a player has their box filled up. If the other player already has a higher score, the game will instantly end with the latter's victory. Otherwise, the game will continue until the second player either fills up their box or overtakes the first player's score.

The Time Limit rule also determines the victor with higher points, but it will have a fixed time limit of five minutes. It will also have a rainbow-colored gauge that will randomly drop fruits when it has depleted. The third and last rule, Attack, will see the player who gets a Game Over first lose. Players can also send grown-up fruits into their opponent's box with this rule.

Aladdin X has also put up a store page for the new mode, but it will not be purchasable on its own. Players can instead get this content by purchasing the 2-Player Mode DLC which has been available since February 2024.

The worldwide online versus mode will be available in the Nintendo Switch version of Suika Game on May 23, 2024. The popular puzzle game is also available on iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as Aladdin X's own popIn Aladdin projector.

flame wingman figure yu-gi-oh

Tamashii Nations announced that the third figure in its Yu-Gi-Oh SH Monster Arts line will be Elemental Hero Flame Wingman from GX. More details about the figure and its launch will come out in the future.

The promotional art for the Yu-Gi-Oh GX Flame Wingman looks like the monster's summon animation in the anime. It looks like it's standing on a spire of a building while a full moon is behind it. Other promotional art for it on the Tamashii Nations website depicts it in front of multiple skyscrapers. This is a reference to Skyscraper, which is a Field Magic card that specifically supports the Elemental Hero archetype.

Flame Wingman was the ace monster of Judai Yuki (Jaden Yuki) during the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh GX. It is a Fusion monster that requires Elemental Hero Avian and Elemental Hero Burstinatrix to create. When it destroys a monster in battle and sends it to the Graveyard, it can deal damage equal to its ATK to the opposing player. This effect works very well against monsters with high ATK, such as Red-Eyes Black Dragon. Incidentally, Red-Eyes Black Dragon was one of the SH Monster Arts figures from Tamashii Nations.

More information on the Yu-Gi-Oh GX Flame Wingman figure will come out in the future.

genshin impact animated short

HoYoVerse announced that an anime short for Genshin Impact called "The Road Not Taken" will come out soon. The official social media accounts will reveal more information about the animated short in the future.

The teaser image for the Genshin Impact "The Road Not Taken" animated short features Aether and Lumine lying together in a field of flowers. Lumine's eyes are open, while Aether's are closed. It's unknown if this is a hint to Lumine being the POV character or not. Judging by the appearance of the teaser image, it looks like the company that usually does HoYoVerse's animated shorts will be in charge of this one as well. But we will have to wait until HoYoVerse provides more details.

In September 2022, HoYoVerse announced that ufotable will handle an anime series based on Genshin Impact. However, there has been virtually no information on the series since then. Since then, ufotable has focused on Demon Slayer, with the Hashira Training Arc airing now. Other properties that ufotable handled include animated cutscenes for Tales series post Xillia, The Garden of Sinners anime films, and Fate series such as Fate/Zero and the Heaven's Feel movies.

Genshin Impact is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The "The Road Not Taken" animated short based on Genshin Impact will come out some time in the future.

Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Beta Test Ends in May

HoYoVerse announced that the Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Test, which is a closed beta being held for the PC and mobile versions, will close at the end of the month. The cut-off date is May 28, 2024.

The announcement message basically acts as a two-fold reminder for the Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Test. The first is that any people who managed to get in to take part in this PC and mobile test will no longer be able to play as of May 28, 2024. The second is that once this beta ends, all data from it is gone. Nothing will carry over to the full game.

The Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Test was one of two closed beta tests running at the same time, as the PS5 Technical Test launched too. That was brought up in April 2024 and was completely separate from the PC and mobile one. It offered a first opportunity for people to test the title out.

While these tests are ending, it is possible we won't have to wait too long to play Zenless Zone Zero. Pre-registration opened at the end of April 2024. No dates were noted regarding a possible launch. However, we could learn more during the Summer Game Fest 2024 events in June 2024.

Zenless Zone Zero will come to the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, though HoYoVerse hasn't said exactly when yet. The Amplifying Test for the PC and mobile devices ends on May 28, 2024.

Hear the New Kingdom Hearts 'Simple and Clean' Recording

When Square Enix announced the Kingdom Hearts Steam release, it also revealed a new recording of "Simple and Clean" by Hikaru Utada. Now that performance video is live and everyone can hear it on YouTube.

The new "Simple and Clean" Hikaru Utada performance is set to the official announcement trailer for the Steam debut of the Kingdom Hearts series. It first appeared in the English release of the game in 2002. Since then, variations and remixes of it have returned in additional titles. However, the performance of the song appears in a subtle fashion in the new trailer. It shows up in the background as footage from Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind DLC play.

Here is the full Kingdom Hearts Steam announcement trailer with new recording of "Simple and Clean" by Hikaru Utada.

This is one of many returns to the title track for Kingdom Hearts. Back in March 2024, to go along with their greatest hits album Science Fiction, Hikaru Utada released the "Hikari" music video again. That was the Japanese version of the song that debuted in the Japanese release of the PS2 game. That was followed by a re-recording of "Hikari" shortly after.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind DLC will come to the PC via Steam on June 13, 2024. The games are already available on the PC via Epic Games Store now. People can also find these collections and the third game on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch via the Cloud.

Watch the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Story Trailer

While much of the story of a FromSoftware game can come from playing and catching clues from lore as you play, there are also more overt insights into each one's background. To help us prepare for the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Bandai Namco released a story trailer that explains everything going on in the new experience.

Ahead of this latest video, the initial February 2024 gameplay trailer for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree offered a bit of a teaser of what to expect from the story. We saw a darkened Erdtree in a land covered in shadows. There, Malenia's brother Miquella's arm is hanging out of a cocoon. That video's narration noted, "Mother, wouldst thou truly Lordship sanction in one so bereft of light? I presume you too are keen to know just what kind Miquella is doing here." It also said, "Touch the withered arm and travel to the realm of shadow."

Here is the full Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC story trailer:

Ahead of the Elden Ring DLC launch, Bandai Namco is promoting the add-on. For example, there is a Return to Grace contest that is live and involves rewards like a life-size Arm of Malenia and Messemer the Impaler statue. In Japan, a The Overture of Shadow Erdtree Elden Ring book will appear with additional information about the new content.

Elden Ring is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Shadow of Erdtree DLC appears on June 21, 2024.

Tales of the Rays offline version

Bandai Namco announced that it will end online services for Tales of the Rays in Japan and release its offline version on July 23, 2024. Existing players of the game will be able to re-watch story episodes they have seen and enter battles with characters they have collected during the run.

Tales of the Rays first launched in Japan on February 28, 2017. Bandai Namco also released a global version in July 2017, but it abruptly shut the latter down in less than a year in May 2018. The Japanese release continued on, and it gradually received crossover content from external titles like God Eater, Scarlet Nexus, Slayers, and Xenosaga. With the closure date set for July 23, 2024, the Japanese mobile game will have a total lifespan of almost seven-and-a-half years—or to be more precise, 2703 days.

Bandai Namco has also published roadmap schedules in Japanese that lead up to the offline version's release. Once the game goes offline, existing players will no longer be able to make any content updates, such as enhancing characters, gathering items, and editing their own profiles. However, there will still be some playable stages, which include Cress Albane's dojo stage.

In addition, Bandai Namco is working with Movic to release a Memorial Book bundle that compiles every illustration made for the mobile game in Fall 2024. The set will contain two books with around 600 pages in total. It will cost 13,200 yen (~$84.50), and pre-orders are immediately available until July 31, 2024.

Tales of the Rays is available on Android and iOS mobile devices in Japan until July 23, 2024, at 11 AM JST. The offline version of Tales of the Rays is available to download until October 22, 2024, at 12 PM JST, but it will only be accessible to those who have played the Japanese online mobile release.

However, if XDefiant can be enjoyed just as much without paying anything, is it worth spending money on a battle pass? Is the Battle Pass worth your money? There are two different types of Battle Pass you can buy. The cheapest comes in at 700 BP or around $7, and the upgraded version costs 1200 BP or $12. The cheaper option is simply the XDefiant battle pass alone which will require you to work your way up the ranks without any boosts.
