I say three, but if we're being honest with ourselves, the only street fighter who's on anyone's mind is one Cammy White. So let's count the many ways that Cammy's reveal left… |

PCGamesN Saturday, February 25, 2023 2:24 PM There are three Sons of the Forest keycard locations, each of which opens an important door in the twisting, interlocking cave systems beneath your feet. You might be surprised to discover that the hidden keycard locations are more obvious to you than you'd imagine, but that doesn't mean you aren't going to run up against some mutant-shaped trouble on your way. While the natural terrain surrounding you in Endnight's horror game might fool you, hidden away in the dark and terrifying caves are various man-made and industrial bunkers, filled with corpses, bones, resources, and all manner of Sons of the Forest mutants. While you can stay alive and have a perfectly nice time just foraging for berries and drinking water in the survival game, you need to find other items, including the all-important keycards, in order to complete your story. Here's where to find - and, more importantly, how to get - all three Sons of the Forest keycards. PCGamesN Saturday, February 25, 2023 11:35 AM The Sons of the Forest Steam launch seems to have gone well for developer Endnight, as the new survival game surges up the charts on Valve's storefront, already beating Rust, No Man's Sky, Rainbow Six Siege, and other multiplayer stalwarts after just one day. PCGamesN Saturday, February 25, 2023 11:26 AM Does Sons of the Forest have character creation? It's a fair question since its predecessor - The Forest - had no character creation options and minimal character customisation. As a first-person game, you can't see your character's face anyway, but what about if you're playing multiplayer? And what if you want to play as a female presenting character? These are options players have been asking for in The Forest 2. Most new survival games begin with a character creation screen, allowing you to tweak your character's look to your liking - whether that's to look like you or something more fitting who you wish you were. In a time of increased diversity and inclusion, it's always a surprise when games don't offer this option, or at least a choice of protagonist. Since there are no custom characters in The Forest's single-player mode, and only random pre-made characters assigned to each person in its multiplayer mode, you are probably wondering if Sons of the Forest character creation is available in the sequel. PCGamesN Saturday, February 25, 2023 11:56 AM Looking for the Modern Axe in Sons of the Forest? The useful tool might be cumbersome and slower to wield, but it does much more damage than your starter axe, so you can chop down trees and build a sturdy base as soon as you find it. The modern axe is one of the more useful tools in Endnight's survival horror game – not only is it necessary for building a sufficient base, it also doubles as a Sons of the Forest weapon. Thankfully, it isn't hidden away in a cave or a dig site, instead just lying out in the open. So, unlike locating the elusive Sons of the Forest shovel, the only difficulty in finding it is knowing where to go on the large Sons of the Forest map. That said, here's how to find the modern axe in Sons of the Forest in one of the best PC games of this year. PCGamesN Saturday, February 25, 2023 11:40 AM Unsure how to get the Sons of the Forest rope gun? There are plenty of tools that can make all the difference in the first few days of island living, but the rope gun opens all doors – and ziplines. However, the path to the rope gun location is not for the faint of heart, and going in blindly may well spell your end. Much like the Sons of the Forest rebreather, the rope gun location is within a specific cave on the Sons of the Forest map, making it very easy to miss during your first playthrough of Endnight's sandbox game. You'll also need to stock up on the best Sons of the Forest weapons in your arsenal, since there are plenty of hostile enemies standing between you and your prize. Here's how to get the Sons of the Forest rope gun and thrive in one of the best PC games of 2023. PCGamesN Saturday, February 25, 2023 11:15 AM Are you stumped on how to get the Sons of the Forest rebreather? Endnight's cannibal-infested open world is full of secrets, but the most elusive by far are the ones lurking beneath the surface. Large bodies of water have a chance of leading to underwater caves hiding precious loot – but you'll need to discover the Sons of the Forest rebreather location before you can access them. Along with the rope gun, knowing how to get the Sons of the Forest rebreather is necessary for reaching the Sons of the Forest shovel, which in itself is necessary for digging up the Sons of the Forest grave to retrieve the shotgun. Consequently, you'll want to make the Sons of the Forest rebreather location your first port of call in Endnight's horror game, which could well be one of the best PC games of 2023. Without further ado, here's how to get the Sons of the Forest rebreather. PCGamesN Saturday, February 25, 2023 11:41 AM Can Kelvin die in Sons of the Forest? That's the question you probably ask yourself if you decide to help him and dust off the debris from your concussed companion. His ear is dribbling with blood, and his spaced look indicates that he's disorientated and possibly now deaf. However, all is not lost as you can get him to follow instructions written on paper and forcefully thrust onto his chest. There are advantages to keeping Kelvin alive in the survival game, and morally speaking, it's probably the best decision to do so. Kelvin is not the only companion who can accompany you in Sons of the Forest, either; you can also recruit Virginia to help you survive the cannibal-infested island, though you'll need a more delicate approach. Regardless, to those asking if Kelvin can die in Sons of the Forest, here is everything we know about our injured colleague. Continue reading Can Kelvin die in Sons of the Forest? Siliconera Saturday, February 25, 2023 3:00 PM The Yakuza series, now known as Like a Dragon since Sega is trying to make "fetch" happen and the title more similar to the Japanese title of Ryu Ga Gotoku, is a formidable one! There are mainline entries! There are remakes and remasters! There are spin-offs! It's a lot! So we figured now's a good time to talk about the Yakuza games we like best now that Like a Dragon: Ishin launched. It's an unpopular choice, but I absolutely love Yakuza 3. Yoshitaka Mine is one of my favorite antagonists in the series, hands down, for how he works as a foil to Kiryu. And the game's discussion of social othering and the discrimination orphans face in Japan are not only integral to the cast of characters, but provide valuable cultural context that players can learn a lot from. Obviously, it has it's flaws, but Yakuza 3 is still one of my favorites in the series hands down. -- Kazuma Usually the first game of a series holds a special place in my heart, except that my first exposure to the Yakuza series was through Yakuza 4. It was all because of Hiroki Narimiya, and he isn't even Tanimura anymore. So, yeah, Yakuza 4 ain't it. This question was actually really hard because I love both Yakuza 0 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon equally. But Yakuza: Like a Dragon wins by a margin. The writing for Yakuza: Like a Dragon was amazing; like, all of the Yakuza games have a story that has me reaching for the popcorn. But all of the revelations at the end in regards to Ichiban and Masato's families gave me goosebumps. What did Yakuza 0 do for me besides give me a headache because I cried too much over Majima and Makoto? And I really liked the fun party interactions in Yakuza: Like a Dragon! That was the kind of banter I was dying for in 4, but never got. The RPG genre really worked in its favor in terms of both comedy and personal preference. I'm so excited to see Ichiban and his little friends again in Like a Dragon 8! -- Stephanie I often like to play at being a Yakuza hipster, as I liked the game despite its goofy, star-studded original English dub. I even imported Yakuza 2, which at the time received what seemed to be such a limited releases in North America that copies were basically unheard of. That said, I think the game that really sealed it for me, in retrospect, was seeing Yakuza 0 catapult the franchise into much wider recognition. Putting the PS4 update front and center for Sega's renewed push of the series was the epitome of "Best foot foward", and it worked. Plus, placing the story at the height of Japan's bubble era gave Kiryu and Majima's early adventures a kind of atmosphere that was largely absent from the other, more contemporary games. Yakuza 0 is a vision of Japanese gangsters at the height of their mythic power, and it's a thrilling ride. -- Josh I agree with Josh. It's got to be Yakuza 0. The minigames are on point. (I love running the hostess club!) You can play Fantasy Zone, Out Run, Space Harrier, and Super Hang-On. It does a great job of establishing both Goro Majima and Kazuma Kiryu. It makes you want to get invested in their stories and continue through the additional installments. Not to mention it includes the two best NPCs ever, Nugget and The Obatarian. Yakuza 0 is the best entry in the series. -- Jenni The post What's Your Favorite Yakuza, aka Like a Dragon, Game? appeared first on Siliconera. | ||||||||||||||||
Siliconera Saturday, February 25, 2023 12:00 PM A new PlayStation Blog entry talked about the background of Lily, a new Street Fighter 6 character, and confirmed she is a Thunderfoot tribe member like T. Hawk. The announcement went over her stage, which is the Thunderfoot Settlement, and talked about her moveset. It also noted the resemblance between her attacks and those T. Hawk used. The announcement named three moves that both T. Hawk and Lily use in Street Fighter games. The two both have Condor Dive, Condor Spire, and Tomahawk Buster as special moves. While T. Hawk has a Mexican Typhoon attack, Lily uses a Raging Typhoon Level 3 Super Art that might look somewhat similar. Two of her unique attacks are Condor Wind and the Level 1 Super Art Breezing Hawk. As a reminder, following the reveal of Lily, Cammy, and Zangief for the base roster of the game, their voice actors were revealed. Lily is portrayed by Tiana Camacho. As for T. Hawk, he hasn't appeared in a Street Fighter entry since Super Street Fighter IV. He first joined the series in Super Street Fighter II. Street Fighter 6 will come to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on June 2, 2023. It will also appear in arcades. Siliconera Saturday, February 25, 2023 10:30 AM There are often side stories in Octopath Traveler 2 where you can hear a hint about one from someone involved. However, you can't do anything about it until you actually reach that other point in the world. These tend to be fairly obvious, though you just need to make a note of where everyone is. This is exactly what happens with "A Forced Hand" in Octopath Traveler 2, as you might meet Margello in Montwise before you do Tiffany in Timberain. To kick off the quest, you first need to talk to Tiffany. She's in the Timberain Castle: Town Square area, in the upper right side of the plaza. When you speak to her, she'll complain about her parents arranging a marriage for her. She'll mention Margello in Montwise. From there, you need to head to Montwise on the other side of the world. You'll find Margello and his attendant if you head straight to the back of the Montwise: Library after walking past the librarian at the desk. If you use someone who can guide or befriend, like Ochette, you can add him to your party. (You need three Quality Jerky on hand, if you use Ochette to bring him along.) To finish "A Forced Hand" in Octopath Traveler 2, immediately head back to Timberain and speak to Tiffany while Margello is with you. This will trigger a brief event. You'll then get 15,000 leaves and a Mental Belt for helping out. Octopath Traveler 2 is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. A demo is available.
