Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida revealed that Square Enix plans to distribute a demo for the upcoming game sometime in the future. When asked about future developments of the game, Yoshida stated that more information about it will appear close to the end of 2022. This is where he mentioned the prospect of a trial version appearing. The reason being that the team would like to keep the momentum of the upcoming release going. This means that a demo is on the horizon, but it will appear closer to when Square Enix will reveal a more concrete release date for Final Fantasy XVI. In an interview with Dengeki, Final Fantasy XVI Director Hiroshi Takai extrapolated on the differences between the difficulty of the "story" mode and the standard version of the game. He stated that both versions are functionally the same, with the exception of story mode coming with accessories to make the journey just a bit easier for those more interested in the narrative. Specifically mentioning support accessories, Takai stated that there will be an accessory that will automatically perform combos with equipped. There will also be an accessory that will help players dodge attacks, but players can pick and choose what they want to equip. In the story mode version of Final Fantasy XVI, players will start with the aforementioned auto attack ring, and a secondary ring that will slow down time just before an enemy is about to strike Clive. In an interview with Famitsu, Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida revealed that a release date for the latest installment in the series will be announced sometime this year. While a window of release has been formally shared, an actual release date has yet to be disclosed. That said, Yoshida stated that consumers can expect to get the game sometime in Summer 2023, and that it isn't expected to appear further outside of that projected window. He also spoke about the differences between developing a purely online product versus something with a more solid physical release. In the interview he stated that there were some challenges and adjustments that the team had to overcome. However, this isn't the only new information to appear about Final Fantasy XVI. Creative Director Kazutoyo Maehiro revealed that we won't be seeing any surprise Eikons or summons in the game. And, of course, series staples like Moogles and Chocobos will be showing up throughout the course of Clive's journey. More Persona manga adaptations are coming. Udon Entertainment announced it picked up both Persona 4 Arena: The Manga and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax: The Manga and will release them in English. The first volume will appear in February 2023 and cost $13.99. Aya Kiya and Atlus are behind the Persona 4 Arena series. It follows the events of the first game. There are three volumes in total. Udon versions will use the same cover art as the original. Following the February 2023 release of the first volume, the second and third will both appear in April 2023. [gallery ids="939151,939152,939153" link="file"] As for the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax one, it follows the story of the second fighting game. That story was written by Rokuro Saito. It spanned four volumes. However, only the first volume's cover and release window is available. That will show up in English in August 2023.
The various Persona manga adaptations regularly appear in English. For example, Viz Media handled the Persona 5 manga adaptation. Yen Press localized Persona 5: Mementos Mission and released it in December 2021. The first volume of Persona 4 Arena: The Manga will appear in February 2023 in English. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax: The Manga volume one will arrive in August 2023. As for the games, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax ports appeared on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC in 2022, and those include the stories from both games and all DLC. Nanoblock announced a Jujutsu Kaisen collection is in the works. In May 2023, four sets will appear. The US Twitter account announced the items, confirming a worldwide release. People will be able to build Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Satoru Gojo. The four Jujutsu Kaisen Nanoblock sets will each let a person create a rather dynamic figure. Every one of them features a person in the midst of a fight. For example, with Nobara she is about to use the Straw Doll technique. She's holding a nail in her left hand and her hammer in her right. The announcement included some additional details about each one. Like most Nanoblock sets, they will be $12 each. They will create figures under three inches tall. However, it didn't mention any difficulty levels for the characters. Each one will include 140-170 multicolor blocks. Here's a closer look at all four of the sets. None of the characters appear to come with any kind of "base" to help them stand up and stay balanced. Anime Nanoblock crossovers are quite common. For example, a Spy x Family collection of smaller, blind box sets will appear in January 2023. Neon Genesis Evangelion EVAs also were recreated in Nanoblock-form. If you've been paying attention to the release schedule this year, it's hard not to notice the proliferation of a particular genre. So what do you think is the best 2022 farming game? We're sharing our picks. Though I've enjoyed a farming game or two in my time, I'd be lying if I called myself a fan of the genre. Not to mention that so many were announced or came to market in 2022 that it's hard for even a dedicated farming game fan to keep up! With that qualification out of the way? I think the playable demo of Harvestella made a big impression on me. For the same reason I tend to love fictional sports games much more than games about real-life sports, Harvestella has enough of that fantasy abstraction that makes the mundanities of farm living seem comfortable rather than tedious. In other words, it's less like work when you're also playing pretend. I also like the look of Harvestella. Most farming games go for that cutesy cartoon look, and that's good! But this one goes for that JRPG-esque style, which makes the farming seem more magical and part of the big adventure. — Josh
Josh has already said Harvestella but honestly, that's also my pick for the best 2022 farming game. This year gave us so many options for farming games — with the Nintendo Direct even being called Farming Direct as a joke — and yet none of them really resonated with me. Looking at them just made me think I could pick up Stardew Valley instead! Which is a sentiment that I never felt when playing Harvestella. Sure, it has its pros and its cons, judging by the demo. But I really like the more fantastical approach to farming, and it has lots of things other than farming to do if I ever get tired of the daily grind. It is still early days for Coral Island, a new Early Access farming game from Stairway Games and Humble, but it's already a pretty great time! It features some questlines to get you invested in your new home, people you can get to know and romance, different locations to explore, and a whole (in-game) year of agricultural adventures. I'm especially excited since it will include some supernatural elements like Merfolk. Also, if someone has a Steam Deck? It's playable on it. Most importantly, it's the first farming sim I've played that lets you choose how quickly time passes, to help you set your schedule. It's got potential! — Jenni

As the image gets cut off a bit on a phone, here's how it will look there: This isn't the first Ganyu Genshin Impact live wallpaper that appeared in N0va Desktop. Back in March 2022, another one appeared. That showed her holding an umbrella while in Liyue. Ganyu first appeared in Genshin Impact in the 1.2 update in January 2021. She's a five-star Cryo archer. Her banner's been rerun twice in the game since then. She first returned alongside Zhongli in January 2022. Most recently, she and Kokomi appeared again in September 2022. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is getting a free content update next week on November 8. With this update comes a new map set in a snowy village, and the first of a "two-part adventure map pack." Of course, there are also a handful of fixes and improvements coming to the game. And for players who have yet to purchase Vermintide 2, it's free to keep this weekend until November 7. Vermintide 2's latest free update is called Trail of Treachery, and the main focus here is on the new mission. The goal is to escort a caravan through the snowy mountain terrain down to the village of Tockstadt. And to say that the village is having a bad time would be an understatement. This mission is just part one of a two-part storyline, with the second half coming sometime in 2023. Since we're starting to enter winter, it seems like the perfect time for a map like this. Since the launch of Death Stranding (which has been described as either great or boring, depending on who you ask), Kojima and his studio have been hard at work on their next game. Development has apparently advanced enough for Kojima to begin dropping teases (which have also been described as either great or boring, depending on who you ask). For the most part, the teases suggest that a reveal is forthcoming. However, footage of the game has apparently leaked online today — courtesy of a man with no shirt. As spotted by VGC, a YouTuber uploaded hand-recorded footage of the game — armed with nothing but a smartphone and hopefully a pair of pants. The streamer is shown recording the gameplay, which clearly looks to star Margaret Qualley as rumors have stated. Dubbed the "Showdown" trailer, it features all manner of high-quality CGI sequences — with nods to combat and story — to the hard rock beat of "I'm Here," Sonic Frontiers' main theme.
