We didn't really get to see much of Street Fighter 6 when it was revealed yesterday, but one thing we did get a look at was the game's logo, and I did not think we could get to a point where fans are (rightly!) questioning a new game's logo in the absence of anything more substantial to complain about, but here we are.

Steam Next Fest demo: Tinykin is the new Pikmin Nintendo's not making

Tinykin looked adorable and endearing when we first took notice of it last year, and now we don't just have to look - we can play, too. The Steam Next Fest is live with far more demos than anyone could ever possibly play, so I'm digging into what catches my interest and reporting back to you when a game seems worthwhile.

And, friends, Tinykin definitely seems worthwhile. You arrive on planet Earth way too small, and you've got to make use of itty-bitty creatures called Tinykin to make your way through the world. Tinykin come in different varieties with their own powers, and the way they follow you around will make the Pikmin comparisons immediately obvious.

But where Pikmin is a time management and survival game, Tinykin's demo reveals that it is, in fact, a 3D platformer. It's a lovely one, too, with snappy controls and giant, open-ended levels filled with secrets to uncover. It's also combat-free - at least in the early parts of the demo - so if you're looking for a chill time, Tinykin provides.

PCSX2 can now support custom textures for fan remasters

PCSX2 is the go-to emulator for PlayStation 2 these days, and a wealth of updates continue to bring it new features. Now the emulator is getting support for texture dumping and replacement, which means that simple fan remasters with updated textures will soon be possible for pretty much the entire PS2 library.

Contributing developer Stenzek posted a build of PCSX2 with support for the feature as a pull request on Github over the weekend. Given that Stenzek's other recent contributions to the project - like PCSX2's Vulkan support - have been met with wide acclaim from the community, this one will likely be part of the main PCSX2 build soon.

The new feature allows you to dump textures from a game to your hard drive, or re-implement textures directly from a folder. Some users have already had success running original textures through an AI upscaler to gently improve the fidelity of various games with minimal effort. Or, you could just do what Stenzek did, and paste a fat chocobo to the side of the crates in Ratchet & Clank.

Steam Next Fest demo: This indie game is Terraria x Diablo

Steam Next Fest is upon us, with a massive pile of free game demos. There are far more games here than anyone could reasonably play in the week the event is active, so I'm doing the only thing I can do - checking out cool-looking things at random, and reporting back when one of those things plays well, too.

Turn Terraria from a side view to a top-down perspective, and you'll understand the basic vibe of Core Keeper. This is a crafting and survival game in the post-Minecraft tradition, but one that takes place entirely underground, and which gives you a series of bosses to hunt down in order to pursue an overarching objective.

Loading up Core Keeper for the first time, its punchy effects make a strong first impression. Knocking down blocks makes up the vast majority of a game like this, and they all come down with a satisfying pop - a small thing, but it's the kind of detail that gives Core Keeper an immediate feeling of quality.

Destiny 2 maintenance schedule for The Witch Queen explained

Destiny 2's next expansion is tantalisingly close. The Season of the Lost has concluded months of build-up with a special mission that takes us into The Witch Queen update nicely - well, if you were able to finish the mission and watch the cutscene.

There's plenty to look forward to as, now that the Destiny 2: Witch Queen release date is close, we pretty much have all the details on what's to come. Alongside the usual offerings of new areas, endgame content, and gear, you've got other additions such as the void class revamp and weapon crafting. In a recent update post, Bungie also revealed that Gambit is getting a Trials of Osiris-like overhaul.

Bungie is also taking steps to ensure that everyone will be able to jump into The Witch Queen, even if you're a lapsed player. Senior community manager Dylan Gafner shared on Twitter that the power level floor will be raised to 1350 when the expansion launches. That means you'll meet the power requirements to play The Witch Queen, regardless of whether you've been keeping up or not.

Truck Simulator 1.44 does the unthinkable to unmarked roads

1.44 will be the next major free update for American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, and the devs at SCS Software are just starting to reveal what kinds of features we can expect from the patch. They've just confirmed that the unthinkable is going to happen to the unmarked roads in both games: they're going to be marked.

Yes, well, the term 'unmarked road' might no longer be relevant after the roads are marked, but there's still going to be an opportunity for discovery. Both ATS and ETS2 feature a number of roads that aren't marked on the map, leading to smaller side areas. Right now, though, those side roads remain unmarked even after you've driven them.

They'll remain unmarked at the start in 1.44, but once you've discovered a secret area, it'll be added to the map so that you can easily find it again. You'll also get a handy notification of your discovery with a line in the route advisor.

Apex Legends reaches a new all-time player record on Steam

It seems that Apex Legends is only getting bigger. Three years after launch, and one year after its release on Steam, the game has just reached a brand-new concurrent player count record on Valve's platform - the second such record since the launch of Season 12 in February. Clearly, Mad Maggie is a draw.

On Saturday, February 19, Apex Legends reached a new all-time concurrent player record of 393,116, as SteamDB shows. That's slightly up from the 392,998 record set at the launch of Season 12, and dramatically higher than the previous record of 330,879 set at the launch of Season 9.

Of course, since Apex Legends launched at a time when EA wasn't putting its games on Steam, we don't have data on its earliest PC player records, but the numbers on Valve's platform have grown substantially since it came over in 2020. The counts remained a bit flat from Season 9 onward, but it looks like Season 12 has kickstarted a new surge in interest.

card fighters 2 english snk interview

The surprise Nintendo Switch port of SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash in January 2022 was a welcome one for many longtime fans. Siliconera asked SNK producer Adam Laatz and NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection project director Lionel Ackah about what it took to re-release Card Fighters' Clash in 2022 and whether further titles (like a Card Fighters 2 English release) are on the way.

Graham Russell, Siliconera: What do you think is it about SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash that has allowed it to develop such a devoted following over the years? What makes it special?

Adam Laatz, Producer, SNK: The strong reception for Card Fighters' Clash from all the way back in the late '90s has carried over many devout fans of this title and series still to this day. In my opinion, its simplicity and addictive gameplay, many cards, iconic characters, and lots of nostalgia from the era are what makes it special in the hearts and minds of many gamers.

What challenges were there to re-releasing Card Fighters' Clash? How did you get past them?

Laatz: Thanks to all of Code Mystics' and the teams in Osaka & Tokyo's hard work on Match of the Millennium, it definitely ensured the development and re-release of this title went rather smooth as well. I would say one of the challenges from the dev side was including both Capcom and SNK Supporters versions of the game in one game application. That said, I should also mention the many requests received from our fans for this title and encouragement from [Street Fighter V director Takayuki] Nakayama over at Capcom definitely helped the teams!

snk interview card fighters 2 english

The Card Fighters' Clash re-release includes link functionality for battling and trading, as well as a connection to Match of the Millennium. How tough was that to implement? Why was that so important to the team?

Lionel Ackah, Project Director, SNK: This was an extremely tough challenge for our collaborators at Code Mystics, involving a lot of reverse engineering. And we can proudly say that Code Mystics has answered the call with the best we could expect. CM and us always want to provide the best experience possible to our fans, and being able to experience Card Fighters' Clash as close as possible to the original version was one of our objectives.

The first NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection release was just that, the first! Volume 1. Is this release the beginning of a wave of Volume 2 titles?

Ackah: As for any compilation, it always depends on fans interest and support. All we can say for now is that we are more than pleased by the feedback we have received.

With Match of the Millennium and Card Fighters' Clash, the NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection effort has expanded into third-party licenses. How has it been to work with Capcom on these?

Laatz: It's definitely thanks to the staunch support we have received from Mr. Nakayama, Mr. Tsuchiya, and their licensing team based in Tokyo. It has been a real pleasure working with everyone over at Capcom.

snk interview card fighters 2 english

Will we see other non-SNK companies involved in the future, blue and speedy or otherwise?

Ackah: We cannot promise anything, as it is always a challenge to work on franchises outside of our own. But we are doing our best to get our past collaborators companies involved again to help us bring back gems of this era.

What's the process like for selecting which NGPC games to revive? What are your criteria?

Ackah: We have several criteria. The first and most important one is to read our fans' feedback and requests on our official social media channels. Other criteria would be gameplay, rarity, and feasibility.

Is there any chance we'll see an official English release of Card Fighters 2, the fan-favorite sequel to this game, as part of this series?

Laatz: Please don't rule this out, as we are currently looking into the matter! Thank you again for your support of SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash on Nintendo Switch and other NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection titles.

Responses were lightly edited for clarity. For more on SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash, check out our look at the game.

FFVI Pixel Remaster Opera is in 7 Languages

The FFVI opera scene will look and sound a bit different in the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster version. Square Enix revealed that the opera will be sung in seven languages. It also showed screenshots of the scene that involved 3D backgrounds. This means for this segment, it is taking something of a HD-2D approach.

Here's the official announcement. Of the seven languages, only five are named. Square Enix pointed out people will hear the song in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. In Famitsu's report on it, it also confirmed Japanese and Korean will be available.

This mimics the HD-2D style found in games like Octopath Traveler or the upcoming Live A Live remake.

This opera news comes after another FFVI Pixel Remaster announcement. Sabin can still properly perform a suplex the Phantom Train boss. In an early promotional gif, the train didn't flip when attacked.

Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster will come to the PC and mobile devices on February 23, 2022.

According to a press release, the expanded solo play will come in the form of an improved Trust System. This feature lets players go through certain dungeons with NPC companions instead of other players. It seems that the new Trust System's main addition will add the ability to play every main scenario dungeon from A Realm Reborn with a party of NPCs.      Soul Hackers 2 1The announcement of a sequel to an obscure, yet addicting, JRPG that originally released over 20 years ago is not what I was expecting to wake up to. But that's what happened, and there are no complaints here. Soul Hackers 2 is an upcoming JRPG from Atlus and a sequel to the original Soul Hackers game that released on the Sega Saturn back in 1997. Now that the game is approaching its 25th anniversary, Atlus decided to dust off the IP and bring it to the modern age. Granted, this isn't the first time Atlus has released a Soul Hackers game in the past decade. It ported the original Soul Hackers to the Nintendo 3DS in 2012, which was already a surprise. If you're still wondering what Soul Hackers even is, it's a spin-off of the expansive Megami Tensei franchise, a JRPG behemoth that includes beloved classics like Shin Megami Tensei and Persona. Soul Hackers drops the post-apocalyptic nature of some of these games and, instead, brings you into a cyberpunk world f...

This 2TB Samsung NVMe SSD is at its lowest price ever on Amazon

As our Steam libraries grow larger with each passing sale, we never seem to have quite enough space on our gaming PC for all the videogames we'd like to install. Worse still, as 4K gaming becomes more commonplace, the best PC games seem to only ask for more and more storage space (here's looking at you, Total War: Warhammer 3.) Thankfully, this can be quickly remedied by installing one of the best SSDs for gaming, like the Samsung 970 Evo Plus.

Don't let its slim M.2 form factor deceive you, as this SSD has a 2TB capacity, leaving plenty of room for your favourite games and just about anything else you might need. It features a PCI Gen 3 interface too, allowing for sequential read and write speeds of 3,500/3,300MB/s, which should keep loading times low and system responsiveness high.

At just $199.99 USD, it's at its lowest ever price on Amazon, with 60% ($300) off its $499.99 price tag. UK shoppers can share in this bargain too, as the SSD is also the cheapest it's ever been on Amazon UK too, at just £179.98 GBP.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla update adds lowest difficulty yet

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is getting a new patch tomorrow (February 22) that introduces its lowest difficulty setting yet. Alongside some groundwork for the Dawn of Ragnarok update, you've also got some combat and stealth updates.

The Saga difficulty mode is all about enjoying the Viking game's story without worrying about the rigours of stealth and combat. Enemies will inflict less damage than other difficulties, and they won't scale with your level. When it comes to stealth, meanwhile, you'll have more time to perform actions when being detected, such as assassinating, shooting, and disengaging.

Ubisoft is also fixing issues with Assassin's Creed Valhalla's stealth. Foes will react better to whistling, wild animals will stop detecting you regardless of your distance and angle from them, and you won't be spotted by enemies so easily when using environmental traps. There are some neat new combat settings coming, too. You'll be able to tweak the damage Eivor takes and dishes out, as well as adrenaline regeneration and enemy health modifiers.

Shin Megami Tensei spin-off Soul Hackers 2 is out this Summer

There's still no sign of Shin Megami Tensei V or Persona 5 on PC but a new RPG spin-off in the same series is coming this Summer. Soul Hackers 2 is the next entry in the Devil Summoner sub-series, which is part of the Shin Megami Tensei universe.

The Shin Megami Tensei series features some of the best JRPGs around but its history is obscenely complicated. Since launching in 1987, Atlus's SMT franchise has encompassed numerous spin-offs with a lot of confusing titles. The Persona sub-series is the most popular, but Devil Summoner is another. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers came out in 1997 on the SEGA Saturn, but the spin-off series went in a different direction.

Soul Hackers 2 is the direct sequel to that specific Shin Megami Tensei game - which only got an English release in 2013 with the 3DS version. In the new game, a war between the devil summoners is ushering in a global apocalypse, and it's up to player character Ringo and her team to save the world.

The gaming PC scene is no stranger to unique builds, from plate mail custom rigs to RTX equipped Doom BFG machines. Yet, one of Cooler Master's next products could be a shoe-in for best PC case, as it's actually a big sneaker.

Save $400 on Samsung curved gaming monitors at GameStop

A curved gaming monitor can do so much to enhance your favourite games, and give you a greater view of all the in-game action. Although such high performance usually comes at a price, GameStop is now offering a hefty $400 USD off the top-of-the-range Samsung Odyssey G9 curved gaming monitor.

The Samsung Odyssey G9 boasts a 49-inch, super ultra-wide 1000R curved screen. To put that into perspective, that's like putting two 16:9 QHD monitors side by side with no gap. Not only is it massive, but it also uses quantum dot technology and HDR 1000 support to provide realistic colour and contrast, helping you to more deeply appreciate the work of the game's visual artists.

Whether you're a fan of FPS games or RTS games, a curved gaming monitor can improve the experience for every type of gamer by providing a broader view of the action. With a 240Hz refresh rate, you can enjoy a smooth experience, not hindered by the lag or slow down you might experience with a less sophisticated model.

Halo Infinite is getting campaign, anti-cheat improvements this week

Halo Infinite is getting a big patch this week to alleviate some of the community's biggest bugbears. Alongside some general quality-of-life improvements for the campaign mode, 343 Industries is introducing a bevy of anti-cheat improvements and much more.

Senior community manager John Junyszek explains in a post on the game's forums that the campaign will see several improvements. We don't know all of them just yet, though the patch will address issues with achievements unlocking and returning to the game through the quick resume option. You can expect that and more sometime this week.

Junyszek also shares that previously announced anti-cheat improvements will be coming to the FPS game this week, too. Once again, though, details are slim. The senior community manager says that there will be "multiple improvements" to anti-cheat systems and that the team will have "even more" to share about its cheat-prevention software in the future. Expect fewer suspicious kills in the short-term future, basically.

     Elden Ring system requirements

The next Soulsborne game hits shelves on February 25, and publisher Bandai Namco's finally lifted the lid on the Elden Ring system requirements. The bad news is that it might tax lower-end or aging systems by asking for 12GB of RAM. The good news is that it isn't quite as demanding on graphics cards.

Elden Ring will support a maximum resolution of native 4K, HDR, and frame rates of up to 60fps. Unfortunately, it appears that FromSoftware has implemented a frame rate cap, as it did previously with its previous game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It's likely that this will be circumvented through mods, if previous games from the developer are anything to go by.

While it won't be available at launch, ray tracing support should add another layer of gross incandescence to Elden Ring's world. Currently, there's no indication that AMD FSR or Nvidia DLSS will be available to help boost fps, but we'll update this page if and when that changes.

Ten classic Capcom fighters are hitting PC for the first time

Capcom is bringing ten classic fighting games to PC for the first time ever, including a few that haven't seen a release outside of Japan. The Capcom Fighting Collection includes Hyper Street Fighter II, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, and "all five" games from the popular Darkstalkers series.

Alongside the big announcement of Street Fighter 6, Capcom also revealed a new collection of classic fighting games. The Capcom Fighting Collection features a mix of entries, ranging from popular names - such as Street Fighter and Darkstalkers - to some of the more obscure beat-'em-ups in the publisher's catalogue, such as Red Earth and Cyberbots.

Capcom notes that the collection includes "all five titles from the Darkstalkers series", including two of the Vampire series of games that never made it out of Japan. While Capcom has stated previously that it had planned to "revive dormant franchises" such as Darkstalkers, the series has remained untouched apart from occasional cameos of characters such as bat-lady Morrigan in games like Tekken 7.

Lapsed Destiny 2 players are getting a lifeline for The Witch Queen

Bungie is tossing a lifeline to Destiny 2's myriad of lapsed players when its next major update lands. Even if you haven't got your Guardian power level ready yet, you'll still be able to jump into Destiny 2's The Witch Queen expansion right away.

Senior community manager Dylan Gafner explains on Twitter that the power level floor will be raised to 1350 when the expansion launches on February 22. That means anyone who signs on will be at the required level to start the Witch Queen update, even if you haven't played the space game for some time now. You could catch up fairly quickly in previous patches as loot drops tend to be more generous when you're behind, though giving people a boost from the word go is a new one for Bungie.

Alongside the usual offerings of new areas, duds, and high-level activities, Destiny 2 is also getting weapon crafting, a revamp for void classes, and a Gambit rework after The Witch Queen launches. While there's no shortage of things to do and systems to engage with in Destiny 2, it can become a tad overwhelming if you don't have the time to sink into RPG. Offering lapsed players a quick route back in may help nudge a few people into trying the new expansion out.

Skyrim's forests are glorious with this mod that adds

While it's a decade old now, Skyrim is iconic for its sprawling, often stunning landscapes, which have been given an extra boost over the years thanks to a bunch of great fan-made Skyrim mods. Now, a new community creation looks to make the fantasy game's forests to a new level with "over 100" new meshes.

Modder fxckthisworld's Nature of the Wild Lands - Forest Improvement mod overhauls several of the game's many wooded areas and aims to "make forests diverse and dense" as well as "more diverse and beautiful". From the images and video clips of the mod, it certainly seems the modder's achieved this. The trees, grasses, and other vegetation are all far richer and denser (density is more than five times higher, according to the modder), and the woodland looks bursting with natural fullness. If I sound like I'm waxing a little lyrical, that's because the results really do look impressive - you can get a glimpse below.

The good news is that the modder's decided to keep a balance between how pretty it all looks and how it plays in mind, so introducing the more fleshed out forests shouldn't tank your game's performance. They say the tree models have an average of 5,000 tris, so should be "relatively good for performance".

Intel Raptor Lake may be up to 40% faster than Alder Lake CPUs

Alder Lake processors may be some of the best gaming CPUs around, but it looks like Intel is already preparing even faster Raptor Lake chips. Having showcased the components for the first time as part of its Investors Meeting 2022 event, newly obtained performance metrics place 13th Gen Intel Core processors up 40% ahead of their 12th gen counterparts.

According to Moore's Law Is Dead, some Raptor Lake processors will offer performance increases of 30-40% in multi-threaded workloads, compared to Alder Lake. This double digit increase extends to single-threaded tasks too, with a reported 8-15% increase, which should boost fps in the best PC games.

Considering that 12th Gen Intel Core processors, like the Intel Core i9-12900K, already tend to beat Ryzen 5000 chips in terms of gaming performance, the pressure is on AMD to deliver something spectacular with its Zen 4 CPUs. Thankfully, you shouldn't have to wait too much longer to see whether you build your next gaming PC with team blue or team red in mind.

Nvidia could spend $10 billion to secure RTX 4000 components

Fabricating the best graphics cards is tricky in 2022, but reports suggest that Nvidia is spending at least $10 billion USD to secure GeForce RTX 4000 series components. According to Hardware Times, the GPU giant will use the funds to grab a share of TSMC's 5nm chips, alongside competitors like Apple, AMD, and Qualcomm.

Specifics related to Nvidia's expenditure are sparse, but Hardware Times says the green team spent $9 billion USD on procuring future inventory in Q3 alone. This aligns with previous reports of factories gearing up to produce RTX 4000 graphics cards back in November and adds clout to previous Lovelace production rumours.

By opting for a 5nm process, future RTX 4070, RTX 4080, and RTX 4090 cards will boast enhanced clock speeds and power efficiency. However, shrinking process nodes could also help Nvidia cash in by reducing the number of wafers required during production.

Lost Ark devs working on a fix for EU matchmaking issues

While Lost Ark's congestion problems on European servers eased following the Europe West data centre launch last week, issues with queues and matchmaking remain. Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG have addressed the hot topics in an update post, explaining that fixes for matchmaking are underway, though queues remain a trickier puzzle to solve.

The devs restarted Europe Central servers at 3pm PST / 6pm EST / 11pm GMT on February 20, which was followed by two hours of downtime. It's a short-term fix for now, though, as Smilegate is already working on something longer term. Aside from mentioning a "matchmaking errors" fix, though, we don't know what that tweak will entail. In a separate post, a community manager called Roxx explained that the matchmaking issue relates to the "ongoing stability issues surrounding EU servers".

Queues, unfortunately, are a trickier one to solve. "We know that players are still experiencing long queues in Europe," Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG say. "The Europe Central region is at capacity and unfortunately there is no way to increase the number of players per world in Europe Central. Adding more servers is not possible based on the complexity of all the systems that need to work together."

Street Fighter 6 is real and it's coming… sometime

It's official: Street Fighter 6 is real, confirmed, and has a trailer. Capcom has long teased the next instalment in the fighting game franchise, so a follow-up to Street Fighter V is certainly welcome. As for what the release date will be, that's another matter.

A week ago, Capcom launched a mysterious countdown website that was hinting at some sort of special announcement, which was counting down to just a few hours ago. The main two fan theories were a Resident Evil Village DLC reveal and the long-awaited announcement of Street Fighter 6 - the latter mostly because of the Street Fighter V Pro Tour 2022 event, which concluded yesterday.

Well, fans who guessed a new Street Fighter were correct, as Capcom has revealed Street Fighter 6 in a short CG teaser trailer which you can see below. It features an older, bearded, sandal-wearing Ryu facing off against Luke – who Capcom previously highlighted as being "featured in the next Street Fighter project".

The best Automaton loadout in Warzone Pacific

Want to know what the best Automaton Warzone Pacific loadout is? Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season 2 is here, introducing several new weapons and a host of balance changes to the battle royale game. A lot of the best assault rifles in Warzone have been knocked down a peg, allowing the Automaton to finally have its time in the sun.

While the Automaton isn't as powerful and precise as the Warzone Cooper Carbine, it ranks highly among the other assault rifles thanks to its steady recoil control, making it a beginner-friendly gun.

The best Warzone Automaton loadout increases its already rock-solid recoil control, gives a boost to its accuracy, and kits you out with as many bullets in the chamber as possible - a deadly option when pairing it with a decent sniper rifle such as the Kar98k. That said, this gun may not be for everyone, so we also have the best STG 44 loadout you can use to see how it fares.

League of Legends patch 12.5 notes – Bees! champion skins, Elise VFX update

The updates keep on coming, LoL fans. League of Legends patch 12.4 has made its way to the live Rift, bringing a raft of new skins, champion balance changes, and - of course - steely new Champon Renata Glasc. That means it's now time to see what's headed our way with its follow-up update. While the latest round of skins gave Kassadin, Shen, and Qiyana some dazzling new Shockblade styles, this fortnight's offerings are fare more whimsical. Let's take a look.

The new skins coming with League of Legends patch 12.5 add more champions to the game's Bees! alternate universe, with four new looks on the way. As you'd expect, the names are pun-tastic, with Heimerstinger, Nunu and Beelump, Orbeeanna, and BZZZiggs joining the skin line. You can check out the in-game clips of these in action and their splash art in the skins section below.

As is very often the case when a fresh patch hits the PBE, there aren't any balance changes up for testing just yet, but we can probably expect a bunch to arrive there soon for a test drive. So, keep an eye on these notes as we'll update them with everything you need to know ahead of the patch's launch.

Final Fantasy XIV PS4 Support

In an interview with Japanese news outlet Gamer, Final Fantasy XIV Producer Naoki Yoshida (also known as Yoshi-P), spoke briefly on the topic of PS4 support for the title. During a Letter from the Producer Live, Yoshida revealed that Square Enix will not drop support for the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV through the 7.0 expansion. This information was shared alongside the announcement of a major graphics update the MMORPG will receive sometime in the future. [Thanks, Gamer!]

Yoshida elaborated on this a bit more in the interview and discussed why he decided to share this information. When asked about how long the PS4 version of FFXIV would receive support, Yoshida said this:

I don't know yet. One of the core tenants of Final Fantasy XIV is to develop for multiple platforms, and have as many people as possible play the game.. With the current situation where the shipment volume of the PlayStation 5 is fairly slow due to the parts shortage, I expect there are many people that want to buy the console but can't. I made the statement at that time so that players can play with peace of mind.

He also stated that the PS4 version of the game still has room for optimization. Regarding the new graphics, there will be new, high resolution textures and improved shaders once the update rolls out. A preview of these new textures was shown during the Letter from the Producer Live.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PS4, PS5, and PC.

Square Enix has rolled out the second part of the Final Fantasy VII collaboration in Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier. Players can obtain "classic" Yuffie, Vincent, Cid, and Sephiroth skins in FFVII The First Soldier during this period through the Premium Shinra (FF7) Pack B. Digimon ReArise End of Service

Bandai Namco announced service for Digimon ReArise will end on April 21, 2022. The developers have already halted any further sales of DigiRubies, the paid currency in Digimon ReArise. However, players can use any purchased in-game currency until the end of service. Additionally, the developers released a statement through the official website, thanking players for their continued to support.

Digimon ReArise was announced in 2018. The mobile title is a "friendship based" RPG that focuses on strengthening relationships with the Digimon found in Digi-Town. The title made its worldwide debut in October 2019. Since its release, it has seen the inclusion of various different Digimon.

While the game primarily focuses on increasing the player's relationship with Digmon, it has battle elements as well. Players can participate in raid-like events that pit them against iconic Digimon, like WarGreymon. Players versus player battles are also available.

A Medabots collaboration appeared in the Japanese version of Digimon ReArise. While it began as an April Fools joke, the collaboration was later released as a real event within the game. A total of three collaboration units were added into Digimon ReArise.

Digimon ReArise is available for Android and iOS devices, however, the title will end service on April 21, 2022. Players can use their in-game items up until that date.

Street Fighter 6

We now know what Capcom had been teasing for the last week through its countdown website -- Street Fighter 6. The company officially announced Street Fighter 6 alongside a short teaser trailer featuring Ryu and Luke. There is no confirmed release platform, price, or date. However, Capcom stated that it would reveal more information about the game sometime in Summer 2022.

The short CGI teaser trailer showed Ryu and Luke gearing up for a fight. The most notable difference from past appearances is that Ryu sports a short beard. Luke, a character introduced in the latest series title Street Fighter V, wears a hoodie and his padded gloves. The video ends just as both Ryu and Luke begin fighting.

The trailer may indicate that Luke will have an important part to play in Street Fighter 6. Producer Shuhei Matsumoto said as much during an interview from November 2021, in which he teased that the character would appear "in the next Street Fighter project."

You can check out the official Street Fighter 6 announcement trailer below:

This announcement of a new Street Fighter was revealed to be a part of Capcom's mysterious countdown website, which appeared last week. It also coincided with the announcement of the Capcom Fighting Collection, a collection of ten classic fighting titles from the Street Fighter and Darkstalker franchises.

Street Fighter 6 is officially in development. There is no confirmed release platform, price, or date, but Capcom will reveal more information about the title in Summer 2022.
