Kadokawa and Aiming announced that they have added La+ (Laplus) Darknesss as a new guest character in The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden. Players of the free-to-play game can recruit the character via an exclusive gacha banner that runs throughout January 2025.
La+ Darknesss will be available as an SS-tier character with the title "Absolute Darkness Stage." She will become a Green Attacker who can unleash a Super Ultimate attack that deals major damage to all enemies during a battle.

Laplus is not the first Hololive Vtuber to make a guest appearance in Master of Garden. Kadokawa and Aiming have previously added "Hawkeye Showtime" Takane Lui and "Super Nenechi's One-Person Live" Momosuzu Nene from the same group to the free-to-play game. On the Steam page announcement, which is accessible in most countries worldwide, the companies confirm that they are also simultaneously re-running gacha banners that star the first two Vtubers.
The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden is available worldwide on Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as PCs via Steam. The new Hololive crossover event starring La+ Darknesss in the free-to-play game will run until January 30, 2025.

Infold Games announced some of the quality of life changes and updates coming to Infinity Nikki and, in addition to a number of mobile improvements for those on Android and Apple iOS devices, there will be new Whimcycle controls and Photo Mode additions. All of the changes are in-progress, so there are no exact release dates or windows yet. The developer also opened up a survey for people to submit additional feedback about other things they'd like to see.
In the case of the Whimcycle controls, Infold Games said there will be two types of controls for it in Infinity Nikki eventually. It specifically referenced this as being a response to trying to ride it on a mobile device. When added, someone will be able to switch between only using a joystick to ride or using a joystick and a button. It also noted the Whimcycle will be available in more areas as a vehicle and it will respawn if it enters water.
In the case of Photo Mode, there will be a number of additions and changes in Infinity Nikki. Right now, only landscape, horizontal photos are available as an option. After an update, you'll be able to also select a vertical portrait option. Momo will get more involved, as you can use the Shrinking ability or include the mascot in the picture.
As mentioned earlier, there will also be a number of Infinity Nikki updates and changes to ensure the mobile versions are more enjoyable to play for Android and iOS folks. Here's a list of things we'll see adjusted in future patches:

Kotobukiya has opened pre-orders for its upcoming model kit of Bass EXE from the Mega Man Battle Network series. After making the initial announcement in February 2024 and the prototype reveal in October 2024, the new plastic model kit will be available in June 2025 with a tax-inclusive price tag of 10,780 yen (~$68.35).
The non-scale kit will have an overall height of around 148mm (~5.83 inches) when completed. The package will come with multiple alternate facial expression parts and hand poses. Like the source games, both hands of Bass.EXE can be swapped with Busters. The set will also include a dark energy sword effect, which the owner can attach to either hand.

Pre-orders for the new model kit are available internationally via web stores like Hobby Link Japan. However, these storefronts do not seem to include an alternate purple-energy hand part, which Kotobukiya is exclusively offering for orders made on its Japan-exclusive Kotobukiya Online Shop.
People who have purchased prior model kits in the series, such as MegaMan.EXE (either the regular or premium color version) and Roll.EXE, will also be able to pair them with Bass.EXE. They can create scenes where the NetNavis are fighting each other or even cooperating together.
The Mega Man Battle Network Bass.EXE model kit will be available in June 2025.

Back when Square Enix announced the latest PC entry in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, it confirmed FFVII Rebirth would feature some additional features and support options on the platform. Now there's a whole trailer dedicated to going over each point and showing how they might look in-game when applicable.
The video begins by showing some of the places we get to visit in FFVII Rebirth, such as Junon, Nibelheim, and Costa del Sol. After that overview and introduction, the improved lighting is highlighted. A scene with Aerith, Red XIII, and Barret at Costa del Sol appears for that part. Examples of enhanced visuals come after that, with Junon and Gold Saucer as the examples showing how this will affect the world and scenes with characters. This version of the game will also still support the PS5's DualSense controller, if someone owns one. From there, NVIDIA DLSS support for upscaled images and framerates is mentioned. There will also be three graphics presets, with Low, Medium, and High examples shown side by side. Towards the end, it confirms the max framerate is 120fps, the max resolution is 4k, you can set NPC count to ensure optimal performance and it is possible to use a mouse and keyboard.

This isn't the only way Square Enix is helping us prepare for FFVII Rebirth on the PC. Earlier in January 2025, it went over the system requirements for the title. The minimum, recommended, and "ultra" specs all appeared in an infographic.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to the PC on January 23, 2025, and the second FFVII remake game is immediately available on the PS5. The original FFVII Remake is on the PS4, PS5, and PC, and the third entry in the series is in development. FFVII Ever Crisis is also available worldwide on both the PC and mobile devices.

CLAMP announced that the xxxHolic Rei manga will resume serialization in the 21st issue of Young Magazine. It'll come out on April 21, 2025. [Thanks, Oricon!]
xxxHolic Rei is the second series, and it serves as a sequel to the original xxxHolic. It started serialization in 2013, though there are only less than 60 chapters as of the time of writing. This is due to multiple hiatuses throughout the series. Volume 4, the newest volume in the series, came out in Japan in 2016.
The first xxxHolic manga series ran from 2003 to 2011, with a total of 19 volumes in the manga. It focuses on Kimihiro Watanuki, a high schooler who can perceive the supernatural. Upon meeting a mysterious witch and shopkeeper, Yuko Ichihara, he asks for her to remove his ability to see spirits. She agrees, but in exchange for her help, he needs to work for her. The manga was very popular. Despite the lack of updates in the series proper, there was even a xxxHolic collaboration event in Identity V in 2023.
CLAMP is an influential manga artist group, known for multiple popular manga series and its work on character designs. Past works from CLAMP include Cardcaptor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. An exhibition for CLAMP's works will appear in Japan in February 2025.

Nintendo Europe announced that anyone who buys Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition for the Switch by April 6, 2025 will also get Exploration Support Pack DLC that includes equipment. So far, only that region's site features the intel about the bonus, but Nintendo America also confirmed it will be available. A new trailer for the game is available in every region too.
How someone gets the Xenoblade Chronicles X Exploration Support Pack DLC varies depending on how they get the Switch game. If someone buys a physical copy, then there will be a code included inside launch copies. As such, there would be more time to possibly get it that way. If you go for a digital copy, the Nintendo Europe site noted someone has to get it from the eShop before April 6, 2025 to get the bonus.
Here's how the add-on's items will look. The extra equipment includes an Advanced Iron Knife, an Advanced Storm Assault Rifle, the Survival armor series set that gives you Survival Bodywear, Survival Footwear, Survival Gloves, and Survival Goggles, a set of six weapon augments, a set of five armor augments, and 100,000 credits you can use at in-game stores.

Good Smile Company opened up pre-orders for a Nendoroid of Akechi Goro (School Uniform version) from Persona 5 Royal. Good Smile Company first announced this Nendoroid in November 2024.
You will have until February 19, 2025 to put in your pre-orders. If you order from the Japanese Good Smile Company site, it'll cost 6200 JPY, and ship out some time in July 2025. Meanwhile, the North American site offers the Nendoroid for $36.99. It'll ship out some time in Q4 2025. As a reminder, Good Smile Company will only ship to the United States and Canada.
The Persona 5 Royal Akechi Goro Nendoroid (School Uniform version) will come with two face plates, as opposed to the usual three. He has a smiling face and a default cheery expression. Optional parts include his attache case and extra hands. As opposed to his Crow (Prince version) Nendoroid, he doesn't have a lot of options. However, since Nendoroid parts are interchangeable, you can technically swap around some of the parts if you have the other version of him.
