Amy Hennig's Marvel game gets its first trailer during Disney expo

The Amy Hennig Marvel game from Skydance New Media still doesn't have a name, but it does have a new trailer, courtesy of the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase, and it looks like quite the evocative action game if the teaser is anything to go by. The game will feature four characters, blend two worlds together, and focus on one overarching war. Skydance set the trailer to Vera Lynn's classic "We'll Meet Again," and if that weren't enough of a clue as to the setting, we also see occupied Paris with smoke in the air.

     FIFA 23 Pro Clubs guide

It's fair to say that FIFA 23 Pro Clubs comes at a time when recent versions of the series have overlooked the mode. New features have often been minimal for a game mode that has amazing potential, with priority in the football game going towards Ultimate Team, and to a lesser extent, Career Mode.

While FIFA 23 will have some smart additions, such as seasonal progression across Pro Clubs and Volta, the recently announced tweaks aren't going to mix things up too much. Could EA be waiting for EA Sports FC, the big rebrand coming next year, to revitalise Pro Clubs? Either way, here's everything new that has been announced for FIFA 23 Pro Clubs.

Back up your V Rising server before next update, says team

Stunlock Studios has advised players to back up their V Rising server and character before the next update drops. A V Rising patch due to launch sometime in the week of September 12-18 is planned to improve how game saves are stored. As a matter of precaution, the vampire game's developer urges those players hosting a server or playing on a private server to back up their server "just in case."

There are several ways to do this, depending upon whether you are running just one server or multiple. For players with a single server, you should be able to find it in your list of local saves in the 'Continue' menu. There, you can select it and click 'go to directory' to open the folder containing the appropriate files. The ones you want are named 'AutoSave_[number]' (so AutoSave_0, AutoSave_1, etc). Copy those to another location (make sure to leave the originals where they are), and you're good to go.

If you want to back up all your saves across multiple servers, you'll want to navigate to '%appdata% > LocalLow > Stunlock Studios > VRising > Saves' in your computer's File Explorer. There you'll find all the files you need to copy (again, make sure to leave the originals in their place, else the game will be unable to load them). If you have any cloud saves, you can find these in a separate 'CloudSaves' folder in the VRising directory.

Terraria 1.4.4 update makes your bases a lot more stylish

Developer Re-Logic might have said that the Terraria 1.4.4 update Labor of Love is content locked as it aims to hit a late September release, but that doesn't mean that the team is done teasing new additions to one of the best crafting games on PC. The latest (and supposedly final, though we've heard that promise before) update is in the polishing stages, but the team is still taking fun Terraria 1.4.4 fan suggestions, and its latest addition offers some rather snazzy home decor potential.

As lead Terraria artist Victor Moura reveals on Twitter, a much-requested update for Labor of Love will allow players to turn every type of glowing moss into special glowing moss bricks. These variously coloured neon-lit blocks will add a pleasing blast of colour to your base - whether you use them to colour coordinate your NPC housing, create stunning Terraria art, or build your very own Times Square.

Re-Logic vice president Whitney 'Cenx' Spinks says that this particular update was inspired by one specific user who has long asked Re-Logic for additional neon blocks. "He is the reason we did this," Cenx notes, to which the user in question responds excitedly, "I'm freaked out, it looks fantastic!" While it may have been crafted with one player in mind, it's certainly going to be a very welcome addition for anyone looking to spice up their builds.

Despite lamenting the other week that the rest of 2022's gaming calendar was looking a bit weak sauce after endless delay announcements, September is shaping up to be an absolutely monster month for indie releases right now. As Alice Bee noted earlier in the week, there are just too many cool, interesting games coming out for us to review effectively on the site at the moment (although rest assured, we will do our darnedest to cover as many of them as we can).

Part of the challenge is working out what's worth reviewing, and what we think is worth highlighting for you, our readers. The other part, though, is often entirely selfish on our part, just playing and writing about cool games we like. In fact, the decision to review many of the games we covered this week - Railbound, Jack Move and Roadwarden - were all down to having played and liked some form of demo, making events like the Steam Next Fest an increasingly invaluable tool in helping us cut through the noise when we inevitably enter mega months like September.

Uncle From Another World

Uncle is in trouble. The ongoing anime adaptation of Uncle From Another World has faced considerable production difficulties due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It's hardly alone, of course, but these troubles have prompted the show's production committee to take drastic measures, effectively suspending production indefinitely and restarting the broadcast from the first episode [Thanks, ANN!].

In an update to the Uncle From Another World anime's official website, the committee announced that the anime will essentially shift seasons in the middle of its run, from Summer 2022 to Fall 2022. The show will restart its broadcast on October 6, 2022, from episode 1. Seven episodes have already aired. Earlier in September, the committee delayed episode eight and beyond indefinitely, citing a rapid increase in COVID-19 infections within animation studio Atelier Pontdarc and its cooperating animation houses. The delay prompted a rerun in September of episodes 3 through 6.

The change is mainly aimed at Japanese audiences, since Uncle From Another World airs on broadcast and cable TV in Japan. Outside Japan, the show is a Netflix-exclusive, which means viewers can watch the seven existing episodes at their leisure.

Uncle From Another World (aka Isekai Ojisan) adapts the manga by author Hotondoshindeiru. The story follows the Uncle of college student Takafumi, who fell into a coma 17 years ago. Takafumi is assigned to care for Uncle after he wakes up, only to find out that Uncle had traveled to another world and become a hero of sorts while in his coma. In the meantime Takafumi needs to catch Uncle up with all the things he missed, like smartphones, modern anime, and the fate of Sega following the '90s console wars.

Check out the show's opening sequence.

Uncle From Another World is on Netflix outside Japan, and currently has seven episodes available to watch. Yen Press publishes the manga in English.

Bandai Namco Game Music releases Tales of Arise soundtrack

Bandai Namco Entertainment has launched a new music label dedicated to its games, which it named Bandai Namco Game Music. It also utilized the new label name to release the Tales of Arise original soundtrack digitally on platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

In the Japanese press release, the company noted that it will use the Bandai Namco Game Music label to launch more digital releases of soundtracks from its franchises, such as Tales OfTekkenAce CombatTaiko no Tatsujin, and Pac-Man.

Bandai Namco will also work with other companies to release the music from more related franchises. One such example has appeared with Elden Ring, which From Software worked closely with Bandai Namco to release worldwide. Monochrome Mobius Launch Delayed

Aquaplus announced it has delayed the launch of the upcoming Utawarerumono RPG Monochrome Mobius: Rights & Wrongs Forgotten. The game will release on November 17, 2022, just short of a month after its previously intended launch date. This is the second time Aquaplus has delayed the game, previously announcing a one-month delay back in July 2022. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The company apologized to fans, explaining that the most recent delay was due to an outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus within the development team. Aquaplus added that, while development progress was in the final stages, it had decided to delay the schedule out of concern for the health of affected staff members. Furthermore, publisher Shiravune noted that all infected staff members have already recovered, and that development is "back on track" for the new release date.

Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is the latest upcoming video game in the Utawarerumono franchise. It will be a prequel to the Utwararerumono: Mask of Deception video game, and feature Oshtor as the central protagonist. Unlike previous games, it will be a traditional JRPG and feature field exploration as well as turn-based battles. Furthermore, the game will also appear in the Happinet booth at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten will release on the PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on November 17, 2022. It will release on PC via Steam outside of Japan with English and Chinese language support.

Kizuna AI - Touch the Beat coming to PS4 and PS5

Kizuna AI's rhythm game will appear on PlayStation 4 and 5. Gemdrops had announced that it will release the PS4 and PS5 versions of Kizuna AI - Touch the Beat! in early 2023.

Touch the Beat! originally appeared as a VR-exclusive title for Oculus Quest in October 2020. The upcoming PlayStation releases will support both PlayStation VR 2 and its predecessor. The developer will also add a Non-VR mode so that players who do not have a VR device can enjoy the game as well.

In addition to the official site, Gemdrops also announced the new releases on its Twitter account:

Kizuna AI is the first figure to popularize the Virtual YouTuber concept following her debut in November 2016. She used to be the most subscribed VTuber on YouTube with over three million subscribers until Hololive's Gawr Gura surpassed her in July 2021.

The VTuber went on an indefinite hiatus after holding the "hello, world 2022" live concert on February 26, 2022. The event also featured the debut of #kzn, a Vocaloid-like AI-based voice synthesis character.

#kzn will hold a small live performance on the final day of the Tokyo Game Show on September 18, 2022. Gemdrops will also publish more details about the PlayStation releases of Touch the Beat! at the event.

Kizuna AI - Touch the Beat! is currently available on Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2. The PlayStation 4 and 5 versions will arrive digitally in early 2023.

Fire Emblem The Binding Blade Roy and Lilina figures

Intelligent Systems and Good Smile Company will release new figures modeled after Roy and Lilina, the hero and heroine of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. Pre-orders for both figures are available separately on Good Smile Company's web stores.

The figures will have a scale of 1/7, and the overall height will range between 24-25 cm (9.4~9.8 inches). The pedestals will be designed in such a way that people who bought both figures will be able to line them up next to each other.

[gallery link="file" ids="935146,935148,935147"]

Intelligent Systems will produce these figures by itself. The company had previously made figures of Female Byleth from Three Houses, Marth from Shadow Dragon, Lyn from The Blazing Blade, and Ike from Radiant Dawn.

Good Smile Company, which has recently been producing Pop Up Parade figures of Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters, will help sell and distribute the figures. Pre-orders for both figures are available until January 18, 2023. It sells each figure separately with the same price tag of $204.99.

Lilina's figure will appear first in Japan in September 2023. Roy's figure will follow the month after in October 2023. Good Smile Company will ship the figures to North America two months later than the Japanese release in November and December 2023, respectively.

Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade is a Game Boy Advance strategy RPG that came out in Japan in 2002. The 2003 entry The Blazing Blade, which was also the first Fire Emblem title that Nintendo released in the West, contains a prequel story to this game. Nintendo has never released an official localization for The Binding Blade to this date, but it extensively features the title on crossover games like Fire Emblem Heroes and the Super Smash Bros. series.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Burst Forth Choro-gon Breath coming to PC Steam

The Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid shoot 'em up game will make its way from consoles to PC. Bushiroad has opened a Steam page for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath Director's Cut. The PC version will be available in October 2022.

The PC Director's Cut edition will add new illustrations of the stage bosses made by Coolkyousinnjya, the original artist for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. It will also adjust the stages' difficulty levels. Players will be able to choose between the normal version that first appeared on consoles and the new Director's Cut version.

The PC version's minimum requirements will consist of Intel Core i5-1035G4, Nvidia GeForce GT1030, and 8 GB of RAM. But for the best performances, Bushiroad recommends a Core i7-7700 CPU, a GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, and 16 GB of RAM.

Bushiroad initially revealed Choro-gon Breath for the PS4 and Switch in September 2021. The shoot 'em up game lets players control Tohru, Elma, and Kanna. It also has multiple endings based on the player's final score.

While Bushiroad published information in both Japanese and English, Aksys later announced that it handled the Western releases. The console versions came out in Japan on March 24, 2022, and in the West on August 25, 2022.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The Director's Cut edition will appear on PC via Steam in October 2022.

Skydance Marvel Game Black Panther Captain AmericaThe upcoming Marvel video game by Skydance New Media has been revealed as a team-up story with Black Panther and Captain America during World War II. Announced today during the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase, the new project has yet to be named. The accompanying teaser trailer was itself also brief. We got a hint at what locations you may visit, along with some cryptic info. It's a bit odd that the game currently lacks a name, but we can parse some details from the trailer. The game, developed by former Uncharted director and writer, Amy Hennig, will take place in at least two locations. Visions of both Paris and the fictional African nation of Wakanda flash by to the tune of "We'll Meet Again" by Vera Lynn.   While the game will focus on the Captain America and Black Panther team-up, there is more to it. Following the locations shots, we see Cap's shield bearing a very clear scratch mark — something that be easily done by Black Panther̵...

Valorant, Elden Ring, And The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim As Games To Play During The Dry SeasonThe summer of 2022 has been a somewhat dry season for video game releases. That much is clear to anyone who actively plays games, but it is still a little surprising given how stacked full of major releases the first part of the year was. Periods without many notable game releases like this used to be a more common occurrence, but they had almost faded away in recent years thanks to the sheer abundance of games being released. Now, perhaps as a side effect of the COVID-19 pandemic catching up with video game development, it feels like almost every new game is being delayed by some amount. At this point, many of the most exciting games on the horizon have already been pushed into 2023, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything for gamers to do in the meantime. During this quieter downtime, there are plenty of video game activities to keep players entertained.   Tackling that backlog It's probably an obvious thought for many gamers, but the dry season has resulted in a perfec...

Steam Deck Hardware RepairAccidents happen, especially with mobile devices such as the Steam Deck. Thus, Valve has moved to help make such situations a little less stressful, with the formal introduction of the Steam Deck repair centers. In its announcement, Valve promises that these new repair centers will be "free of charge" — as long as your device is still under warranty, that is. Just as is the case with other devices, the Steam Deck repair center process is pretty straightforward. Customers have to contact Steam Deck support through Steam, and then ship their malfunctioning/broken device to Valve where the repair team will assess the matter.   Fixing valves If your device is still under warranty and is deemed fixable, the repair will be completed with no hassle. If your device can be repaired but is out-of-warranty, however, you'll be notified that it can be fixed for a fee. You then have the choice of going ahead with the repair or having you Steam Deck returned without it. S...
