Practically a modern classic, Vampire Survivors has inspired countless imitators. But the upcoming Skull Horde actually looks like a novel take on its roguelike inspiration. While in Vampire Survivors you gain new abilities to upgrade your avatar, in Skull Horde you'll build a massive army of fellow skeletons and lead them to victory through a dank dungeon. The game has an earnest and goofy tone, like a Tales from the Crypt episode that hits just right. You can give the game a try right now.

It has been a long time coming, but the RTS Stormgate will soon add its most-requested feature: the titular gates themselves. Stormgate's most obvious inspiration is Starcraft 2, but it also takes cues from the innumerable MOBAs that have been released since DOTA. Stormgates are one such innovation, hot spots on the map that players must fight over to gain strategic advantages.

final fantasy xvi switch

Near the end of the Final Fantasy XIV Letter From the Producer LIVE Part LXXXVII live stream on June 20, 2025, Square Enix seemed to imply that it's working on a Switch 2 port of Final Fantasy XVI. There is no concrete evidence for this, though, and it's still a rumor. [Thanks, Resetera!]

Near the end of the stream, Naoki Yoshida (producer) and Kazutoyo Maehiro (creative director) announced the Xbox Series X and Microsoft Store versions of Final Fantasy XVI. Both ports are now available. They suggest that people who haven't played the game yet take this chance to try it out. After listing off all the platforms Final Fantasy XVI is out on, Yoshida mentions that "Nintendo-san" is the only one they have left to release the game on. The rest of the staff laugh, and they say they'll "do their best."

This isn't the first time that rumors about a potential Final Fantasy Switch port flew around the Internet. In 2017, Hajime Tabata (who previously worked for Square Enix) cleared up confusion about a Final Fantasy XV Switch port. In a Famitsu interview, he stated that international media had jumped the gun and thought he was hinting at a possible Switch release. People had extrapolated his comments about how he'd performed technical tests on the Switch and how much he liked the console. Until Square Enix makes an official announcement, one should keep in mind that this could just be a joke.

Final Fantasy XVI is readily available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.

Resident Evil 4 Ada Wong Nendoroid Comes With Jet-Ski Key

The Resident Evil 4 Ada Wong Nendoroid is already up for pre-order just days after Good Smile Company revealed it during Smile Fest 2025. She will cost ¥6,800 when she comes out in Japan in December 2025. She'll be $44.99 when she heads to the US and Canada in Q2 2026. Most notable, she includes the critical Jet-Ski key with teddy bear keychain.

All of Ada's face plates and accessories are references to her appearances in the game. The teddy bear keychain is attached to the Jet-Ski Key she gives to Leon S. Kennedy at the end of Resident Evil 4, and Good Smile Company recreated that moment for the photo shoot promoting the figure. Her Blacktail AC handgun and TMP submachine gun are available to wield, as is her hookshot. She only comes with two face plates, one stoic and one slightly smiling.

Here's how the figure looked in the five sample photos Good Smile Company shared.

This means by this time next year, there will be three Resident Evil figures in this line. Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy Nendoroids already showed up.

The Resident Evil 4 Ada Wong Nendoroid comes to Japan in December 2025, and the North American release window for the figure is Q2 2026. Pre-orders close on August 6, 2025. The original game can be found on the PS2, PS3, PS5, Switch, GameCube, Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. There's also a version on the Meta Quest 2. The remake can be found on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices.

It's hard to believe that 2025 is halfway over, but there's still plenty of big game releases to look forward to before the calendar flips over once more.

July 2025 is full of some big-name games, along with some promising new IPs that players are hoping will fulfill their potential and become a new smash hit. But with so many games and so little time, choices must be made as to which ones get your money and attention.

Whether you're a sporty gamer and looking to pick up Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 (July 8) or EA Sports College Football 26 (July 10), or an FPS fan and want to dive into Destiny 2: Edge of Fate (July 15) or Killing Floor 3 (July 24), July 2025 has just about every kind of gamer covered.

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Donkey Kong Bananza on July 17, or the Pacman-inspired Shadow Labryinth on July 18, so even nostalgic gamers are going to be eating well. And if you're into some of the more cozy stuff, Tales of the Shire is dropping on July 29, the same day as Grounded 2. Basically, there's a lot of fun games in the month to choose from.

These games are all on top of existing titles getting new updates and live service content, like season three of Marvel Rivals, season five of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and many others, so if you're looking to avoid the rising temperatures and pump up the air conditioning while playing something new, July 2025 may be stacked.

And now, I ask you, dear reader, which of July 2025's new games are you most looking forward to picking up?

Summer Game Fest 2025 was packed with heavy-hitters, but some of the most memorable experiences came from the unexpected and delightfully weird. From pet-delivering pixel bike couriers and time-looping mecha-cooks to neon-lit gun-fu and pixel-perfect party games, this year's indie and AA lineup turned out to be full of creativity, charm, and ambition. Here's a […]
