Destiny 2 airborne effectiveness is getting a long overdue buff

Destiny 2 airborne effectiveness is getting a big buff across every category, Bungie announced in the June 30 This Week at Bungie. Or more accurately, the airborne effectiveness penalty for accuracy and aim assist is getting nerfed in the FPS game. Bungie senior design lead Chris Proctor said the changes came after spending a significant deal of time testing them in Season 18, and rather than making everyone wait until that season launches, the team plans on adding these changes during Season 17 – though they mentioned no release date.

Fortnite's Reality Tree isn't finished warping the Season 3 map yet

The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 map has been a delight so far. Everything feels more dynamic than it has done in a long time thanks to the chaos of the Reality Tree. It's resulted in classic Fortnite points of interest reappearing across the map and could be leading to a temple becoming a tower. The game's always been chaotic, but with Darth Vader appearing and all of these places changing, it really feels as though the map is alive.

EA Skate beta program announced with first gameplay teaser

EA invites players to join the Skate beta through an insider program to help playtest and provide feedback for the much-anticipated skateboarding game. The publisher has announced it is "still working on" the next Skate game (formerly known as Skate 4) with the first gameplay teaser of "pre-pre-pre-alpha" skating. "We told you we're back," begins the update, which asks players to sign up for EA's closed insider playtests.

"The Skate insider playtests will be closed playtests for anyone selected to participate," EA emphasises, stating that sharing of anything from information to videos and screenshots from the tests will be prohibited.

The teaser video, which EA notes is still in a very early state, shows dozens of simplified player models all skating together across a blend of more realistic looking environments and over-the-top, ridiculous constructions. The skaters are shown pulling off a variety of the kickflips, grinds, and other tricks you'd expect from the series, as well as clambering up ledges and even wall running.

Raft Juicer recipes and how to craft it

If you're playing this open-water survival game, you need to make sure you get a Raft Juicer. Why? Because it greatly quenches your thirst, it gives you an anti-thirst bonus, and it's a fun way to display your fruit collection. If you manage to get your hands on the Spicy Pineberry or Redbeet Shot recipes, you can even get a swimming speed bonus or health bonus respectively.

The basics are simple: place up to four types of fruit on the Raft Juicer table, and press 'start cooking' to create a drink. When the drink is done (this takes a few seconds), equip a Drinking Glass and fill it up. Of course, make sure the Juicer has a battery, but beware: don't use random fruit. As tempting as it can be to try your own Juicer recipes, you can only get a 'good' drink by following a recipe. Everything else just turns into 'leftovers', which doesn't quench your thirst nearly as much - a vital difference in this survival game. You can find most of the Juicer recipes in loot boxes, but the Spicy Pineberry and Redbeet Shot are bought from the Trading Post using Raft Trash Cubes.

House Flipper joins the PC Game Pass games neighbourhood

There's no shortage of great PC Game Pass games, with Persona 3, 4, and 5 coming to the service from October and one of the best Total War games recently being added to Microsoft's subscription service. Now, in a surprise drop, home renovation simulation game House Flipper has joined the PC Game Pass lineup.

House Flipper has been a quiet favourite of YouTubers and streamers, with many enjoying the soothing satisfaction of sprucing up dirty dwellings. From cleaning up spills and handling insect infestations to renovating the paintwork and decorating the establishments ready for new inhabitants, there's something effortlessly calming about House Flipper that even real-world housework just can't match.

As you develop your business, you can start buying your own places and doing more dramatic renovations - including knocking down old partitions, reworking plumbing, and more. Turning a broken-down shack into a fancy designer home is wonderfully satisfying, and at a far lower time and money investment than it would take to replicate in the real world. It might even give you a place to experiment and come up with a few ideas for your own home!

The best Krig 6 Warzone loadout

Looking for the best Krig loadout in Warzone? The Krig has taken a beating over the past few months as the battle royale game has received plenty of balance updates. At one point in time, the Krig was the best assault rifle in Warzone, but nerfs to its recoil control sidelined the weapon. Don't let these nerfs deter you from picking the Krig, especially if you're new to the game and you don't have many weapons unlocked.

Using our best Krig loadout, we can address the issues the assault rifle has with recoil control to make it easier to handle. This weapon truly excels on smaller maps like Fortune's Keep and Rebirth Island, so we highly recommend trying out the Krig with one of the best SMGs in Warzone.

How to get the Raft Temperance code

The Raft Temperance code is required if you want to stand any chance of getting off this snowy island and making it to your final destination. Our Utopia walkthrough will come in handy when you get there so make sure you bookmark it now to get through the final stretch of this survival game, but until then, you need to find the code.

If you've not made it to Temperance yet, then you'll need to find the code for that in Varuna Point, inside the lower building after you use the large crane to create an opening by throwing a boulder. Use a zip line to the smaller island, which has the co-ordinates for Temperance on a desk in one of the lower rooms. Now it's time to hop back aboard your Raft and sail for Temperance, then look for the Raft Temperance code at the end of the island.

Even more Diablo Immortal streamers quit as exodus continues

Yet more of the biggest Diablo Immortal streamers and community figures are calling it a day on Blizzard's RPG game, with ARPG streamer Wudijo saying he plans to quit and community site Maxroll announcing that it is closing its dedicated Diablo Immortal branch. This follows several other high-profile names recently walking away from the free-to-play game, such as Quin69, who dramatically deleted his character after spending $15,000 to get one max rank legendary gem.

"Right now we are still the reigning immortals on the dark wanderer server," says Wudijo in a YouTube video, "but once that one is over I guess this is gonna be the time for me to pull the plug entirely." Wudijo, who has played Blizzard titles including Diablo and Warcraft at a high level for over a decade, says he isn't planning to release any more YouTube videos or guides for Immortal, and adds that many of his friends "have quit the game or are also demotivated" about playing it. He plans to finish off his clan's current reign so as not to "let anyone down."

This decision follows that of other big name Twitch streamers and YouTubers associated with Diablo and other Blizzard games including Quin69, Bellular Gaming, and Asmongold, to step away. Bellular says, "I wanted to review this game - I can't. If I never have to talk about [Diablo Immortal] again, it will be a good thing." Asmongold adds of the game, "It's brought in hardly any new ideas, except for the ideas that come from the monetisation department."

Genshin Impact new characters in the 2.8 update and beyond

Want to know about new Genshin Impact characters? According to Hoyoverse's original Genshin Impact roadmap - new faces should release with every major update.

During each new patch there should be at least one Genshin Impact banner with a new Genshin Impact character, either a new five-star, or a four-star character included as part of another person's line-up. That said, several new characters have been added outside of this schedule, like Genshin Impact's Klee - so we could see new characters arrive unexpectedly, too.

Yelan and Kuki Shinobu are the most recent new characters to arrive in the Genshin Impact 2.7 update, and we know that Heizou is also coming, possibly in the next patch. There are also leaks and datamined information concerning new faces that may appear in future Genshin Impact updates. While none of this official until Hoyoverse says otherwise, here is a round-up of all of the current rumours and speculation.

Siliconera spoke with Dragon Quest Builders Producer Yuki Furukawa to learn more about the mobile port, possible updates, and its DLC.

Back in 2016, Square Enix created a Dragon Quest spin-off that blended creative Minecraft-style elements into the formula. Since then, Dragon Quest Builders showed up on multiple platforms and spawned a sequel. Now in 2022, Dragon Quest Builders is back again on mobile devices. To learn more about the latest version, Siliconera got in touch with Producer Yuki Furukawa.

Jenni Lada: How difficult was it to prepare Dragon Quest Builders for mobile devices? What was the most challenging part of the porting process?

Yuki Furukawa: The most challenging parts of creating the port were the sections involving the controls. The console version of Dragon Quest Builders is played with a controller, so for mobile devices, there were various issues such as fingers covering up a part of the screen and the lowered visibility of the screen due to its smaller size. Despite that, we had to achieve
controllability that delivers an experience as good as the one using a controller, so we made and remade many prototypes. We were able to arrive at its current form by receiving many ideas and suggestions for improvement from Producers Takuma Shiraishi and Noriyoshi Fujimoto and Yuji Horii.

Interview: Preparing Dragon Quest Builders Mobile

How did you prepare Dragon Quest Builders' mobile control scheme?

Furukawa: Since we couldn't perfectly replicate the game's console controls for mobile devices, it was necessary for us to aim on improving the controls by implementing unique features on mobile. That's how we came up with remote placements, which is a feature that allows the protagonist character to place blocks on distant locations. The UNDO feature was also added, as accidental
taps are unavoidable issues when playing mobile games.

How will you update the Dragon Quest Builder mobile version's controller support to accommodate players?

Furukawa: We are aware of players' requests, and we are assessing them with the development team. We will examine what we can accomplish and aim to apply updates so that players can have a more comfortable gaming experience.

There is no iCloud save support on iOS devices at the moment. Will this be added via a patch?

Furukawa: We are currently discussing this with the development team.

Things like the Astronomy Set and Magic Carpet are sold separately as DLC for Dragon Quest Builders' mobile version. What led to this instead of them being included in the base game?

Furukawa: The original Dragon Quest Builders did not have any additional DLC, however, Dragon Quest Builders 2 did have a few pieces of DLC which were well-received by players. When development began on this particular title, we decided to include DLC as an additional challenge for the team, but we also knew that we had to make the game enjoyable without that DLC content.

With that said, as the additional DLC content is aimed at players who want to dig deeper into the game, we also knew that the content couldn't just be an ordinary item. So, we provided bold elements that wouldn't be in the base game in order to provide larger surprises and greater satisfaction for players. After going through much trial and error with the development team, we arrived at the current lineup.

Siliconera spoke with Dragon Quest Builders Producer Yuki Furukawa to learn more about the mobile port, possible updates, and its DLC

How easily could lessons from this port be applied to one of Dragon Quest Builders 2?

Furukawa: While the development team's next project is still undecided, we certainly believe that the lessons of this port can be applied to future game developments. Please stay tuned for our future titles.

We appreciate your continuous support.

Dragon Quest Builders is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and mobile devices worldwide. It is also on the PlayStation 3 in Japan.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R Jolyne Cujoh Video Appears

Folks who played the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R will recognize the featured character in the latest game trailer. It's time to take a closer look at JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean's Jolyne Cujoh. She uses the Stand Stone Ocean, which is also known as Stone Free, and appeared as one of the PS4 and PS5 demo's few playable characters. She's also the daughter of Jotaro Kujo, who also appears in her arc.

Arknights Skadi Nendoroid is Ready to Eat Some Pizza

The Arknights Skadi Nendoroid pre-orders opened, and it turns out she comes with a familiar accessory. One of her items is a slice of pizza she can "eat." This is a reference to the first anniversary art showing her and Grani eating pizza. The Arknights figure costs ¥7,200/$65.99. Ordering her from Good Smile Company directly will net people an acrylic keychain of the character.

Skadi comes with three face plates. One is stoic. The other features a small smile. The final one is more firm. In addition to the pizza, she has a small orca whale, a removable hat, and her Originium sword. You also get a Tidal Elegy skill effect part.

Here's a closer look at the Arknights Skadi Nendoroid.

And this is the Good Smile Company Store keychain that comes with Skadi orders.

There have been tons of Arknights Nendoroid figures over the years. They often feature nods to characters' personalities or sillier elements. For example, the one of Amiya comes with a violin. The Saga one comes with Natto gohan.

The Arknights Skadi Nendoroid will appear in Japan in November 2022 and in North America in January 2023. Pre-orders are open until August 3, 2022. Arknights is available on mobile devices.

HoYoVerse shared a new, free Genshin Impact live wallpaper, and it features Arataki Itto hanging out in Inazuma.

There's a new Genshin Impact live wallpaper, and this time it features Arataki Itto. The new freebie is available via the N0va Desktop app. People can download it and use it with their PCs and Android tablets. However, it does not show up as an option on phones. (The most recent live update there involves Childe.)

The Itto Genshin Impact live wallpaper might look familiar. That's because it is based upon a recent video HoYoVerse released. The same scene shows up during the Hanamizaka's Aspirations EP. Itto is hanging out in front of the Raiden Shogun's home. He's also wielding the club he uses during his Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil! Elemental Burst.

It's been a while since the N0va Desktop app added a new Genshin Impact live wallpaper. One with Zhongli in Liyue appeared in March 2022. Another involved Ayaka in Inazuma.

Some new Genshin Impact static wallpaper images featuring Itto appeared recently too. Those featured the 2.7 official art with him, Yelan, Yanfei Xiao, and Shinobu.

Genshin Impact can be found on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also eventually head to the Nintendo Switch. The N0va Desktop app is available for PCs and mobile devices.

Transformers Optimus Prime Bishoujo Figure Out in 2023, Bumblebee Coming Too

There's a release window for Kotobukiya's Transformers Optimus Prime Bishoujo figure, which envisions the character as a woman in a similar outfit. It is estimated to appear in January 2023 in Japan. The official price is $149.99, and Sideshow is already taking pre-orders. The retailer is expecting the figure to ship outside Japan between February and April 2023. In addition, there will eventually be a Transformers Bumblebee Bishoujo figure too.

Here's a new video offering a closer look at the Transformers Optimus Prime Bishoujo figure showing the character as a woman. It also shows how she looks wearing the optional battle mask head part.

Finally, here's the teaser for the Transformers Bumblebee Bishoujo figure. There's only a silhouette hinting at how she'll look. However, we can see she'll have the same horns and "hairstyle."

There's also one more figure in this collection coming. Megatron is on the way too. There's no painted prototype for that one yet. However, an unpainted prototype appeared back in May 2022. She'll be carrying a cannon in her pose.

The Transformers Optimus Prime Bishoujo figure is expected to appear in January 2023.

FFVII Remake Shinra Building Floor 63 Recreational Facility Art Shared

There's new FFVII Remake concept art, and this time it focuses on the Shinra building floor 63 recreational facility. This is a space people can visit in both the first part of the remake and the original game. In each entry, the function is the same. It's essentially where Shinra employees can stop to relax and have something to eat. In FFVII Remake, it is also home to a Combat Simulator Lounge.

First, here are two images going over the space. In both versions of FFVII, a tree is a central fixture in the Shinra building floor 63 space. While the concept art shows it being free in the middle of an area, next to a coffee kiosk and food court, the final image shows it encased in a greenhouse of sorts in FFVII Remake.

Another image specifically compared the height of accent plants to a person.

Finally, here's how that same Shinra Building Floor 63 Recreational Facility looked in the original FFVII.

One Piece Odyssey Dev Diary Goes Over Its Concepts and Gameplay

Bandai Namco shared a One Piece Odyssey Dev Diary starring Producer Katsuaki Tsuzuki. This time, the focus is to go over its development. He mentioned things like how its "let's travel to the heart of memories" messaging is critical to the game and the concept. All of this goes on while new One Piece Odyssey gameplay footage appears.

Things begin with Tsuzuki discussing the initial reception to the announcement. After that, he mentioned that development began five years ago when One Piece Warriors 4 was being promoted. Once the framework was set, Eiichiro Oda was asked to contribute character designs. Oda's message noted he'd consulted and provided art for it about three years ago. Tsuzuki also noted scenario production began during the manga's Whole Cake Island arc.

Here's the full One Piece Odyssey Dev Diary. It begins with an introduction, before moving onto character design, the development approach, and its features. At the 5:40 mark, details about the RPG gameplay elements in One Piece Odyssey show up.

In case someone missed it, the last update went over one of the original characters. People will meet Lim in the game.

One Piece Odyssey will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2022.

Halo Infinite Online Campaign Co Op Test July FeatAs promised, developer 343 Industries is gearing up to give Halo Infinite players a crack at the online co-op campaign in an upcoming test. Starting July 11, Halo Insiders will be able to try out the story alongside a friend or three. There are some rules and limitations, one of which is needing to be an Insider in the first place. The co-op campaign for Halo Infinite has been a long time coming. Master Chief's latest adventure marked the first game in franchise history to ship without the mode. Even the original allowed split-screen, two-player co-op through the campaign. It's been around eight months since the launch of Infinite, but at last players won't have to only go through solo.   It will be limited, however. To join the co-op test, you must have access to Infinite and be a registered Halo Insider. You can do so at the Halo Waypoint website, but you may not get accepted if you don't meet the requirements. Secondly, you'll only be able to play ...

Doom Rpg Pc Port Reverse Engineered By FansA dedicated group of fans have ported Doom RPG to PC. This relatively unknown installment of Doom was not easily accessible beforehand, but thanks to the team at GEC, you can now play it on your computer. Those interested can just head over to the Doom World forums to download it. This version of Doom RPG isn't just an emulation either. The developers have reverse-engineered the whole game to make it run natively. For such a small team, it's an impressive feat for sure. For those unaware, Doom RPG released in 2005 for mobile devices. It is one of the more unique Doom games, as it combines the franchise's signature first-person shooter gameplay with features typical of a turn-based RPG. By the standards of 2005 mobile gaming, it was a spectacular game that offered far more than just about any of its competitors. A full playthrough of Doom RPG takes several hours, which is incredible considering it was being played on the likes of a Nokia 6131 and Sony Ericsson w580i. &...

Return To Monkey Island comments skeleton violinSo far, Return to Monkey Island has created a divide between fans of the classic point-and-click adventure series. Most of the discussions surrounding the game center around its art style, which features cartoony designs and tweened animations that deviate heavily from previous installments. Ultimately, whatever one may feel about the art style comes down to a matter of taste. Unfortunately, some who have voiced particular opposition to this new installment have behaved in a less-than-professional manner, choosing to harass Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert over it. The abusive comments have become so bad that Gilbert has chosen to stop posting about Return to Monkey Island altogether. Gilbert announced that he has shut down all comments on his personal blog due to the harassment. He went on to say that he and the rest of his team remain proud of what they have accomplished with Return to Monkey Island. Additionally, he told fans that whether they choose to buy the game or not, they ...

F1 22 Review Mercedes Lewis Hamilton Australia Featured ImageF1 22 marks the beginning of a new era for Codemasters' Formula 1 series as the first F1 game developed under Electronic Arts. Immediately you can feel changes made to the F1 formula, with even the menus taking on a new edge. The biggest example of this new direction is the addition of F1 Life, which introduces the idea of living the lifestyle of a multi-millionaire Formula 1 driver. You can buy supercars, show them off, customize your appearance with branded clothing, and display your trophies. In other words, it's everything I hate about modern AAA games. Luckily, F1 22's core mechanics still shine through.   The driving force F1 Life is essentially an idea lifted straight out of Test Drive Unlimited but made worse in every way. I don't care what drivers look like, and the supercars feature feels like a gimmick at best. You can't even drive them online, and the accompanying Pirelli Hot Laps game mode's implementation isn't even worth tal...

One Piece Odyssey developer diary GameplayOne Piece Odyssey was revealed just a few months ago as a brand-new JRPG set in the world of the popular anime and manga series. Bandai Namco Entertainment gave us a closer look at it's gameplay earlier this month, and now, developer ILCA is giving us a bit more information on One Piece Odyssey in the form of a developer diary. The One Piece Odyssey gameplay demonstration comes from producer Katsuaki Tsuzuki and composer Motoi Sakuraba, as well as the One Piece editor-in-chief at Weekly Shonen Jump, Ken Takano. The video goes over some exploration and platforming gameplay, as well as a first look at the game's turn-based combat system.   Some interesting tidbits include the fact that the game began development five years ago while One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 was being marketed. Scenario production started around the time the Whole Cake Island arc was ongoing in the manga. After creating the framework, the team contacted manga author Eiichiro Oda to ask if he could consult...
